Kira wants nothing but a peaceful life. However, her whole life takes a nasty turn when she is forced to marry the most despicable person on Earth, if she would say, and who was also supposed to be her sister's fiancee. But now that one thing led to another and they were being forced to get married, how do you think they're going to take the news, especially Kira? And what about Kira's elder sister, Mina, who was supposed to be the real bride here but lost the chance to her younger sister because of a certain mistake? And what if there's more to the story that I'm letting on...?

Chapter 1 The Match-Making Ceremony

Mina POV

I literally held my breath as I was being led to the room where the women were waiting.

I could feel almost all their gaze shifting to me the moment I stepped in, but I didn't mind as I just kept my gaze to the floor and let the women do their thing.

Well, today's the last day of the matchmaking process, and as expected of a lady getting married into a rich family, the lady was to strip before the elderly women of that family, who were going to see to it that the lady had a perfect, spotless body.

And for someone like me who had fantasized about a day like this almost my entire life, you could imagine how anxious I felt.

Yeah, this was my chance!

And I just couldn't miss it!

"Strip," I heard one of the women suddenly say, cutting through my train of thoughts,

Immediately I reached for the hem of the towel and unwrapped it from myself letting it drop to the floor.

I took in a shaky breath as I felt the cold air hit my bare skin, but more than that, it was the sudden chillness that unexpectedly took over the air that really got me.

I knew they were discussing my fate. From the corner of my eye, I could see them whispering among themselves, but the look on their faces...

Oh God!

Please don't let them reject me. I knew how much my family was counting on me for this, and also this was my only redemption from the hellhole I call a family.

God, please!

"Well, you can now leave," one of the women suddenly said in a dismissive tone after a while, for what seemed like eternity.

What? Huh?

Immediately I looked up to her with my brow creased. She can't be serious, right? Leave to where? What about my result?

I wanted to ask, but it was at that very moment the woman who led me in walked in wearing a gloomy expression on her face which of course said it all.

I didn't pass the test.

"Please come with me," she said grumpily and turned to lead the way out.

I followed silently behind her my heart aching in pain as the thought of my failure weighing down on me.

Somewhere deep I felt like crying.

God how could I have failed the test like how could I have failed it when I've spent the past three days preparing earnestly for it.

I mean, I made sure to take extra care of my already delicate skin, making sure to wash it properly at least thrice a day.

I'd also used a lot of skin care products that would make it glow and glitter than it already was.

So how come I still didn't pass?

"Well, you should know," the woman suddenly stopped walking and turned around to face me. We were already halfway out of the building.

I noticed how her mood seems somewhat brightened now and couldn't help but wonder with raised brow,

What's going on her?

I thought she was pissed with me earlier?

"Well, you should know..." She continued her eyes beaming as she said

"You just got qualified as a potential bride of the Bills family. Congratulations, my dear; you got chosen,"

Whaaaat!

My eyes widened insanely as the news hit my ears.

What did I just hear?

That I passed? Me?

"Wait, what! You have got to be kidding, right?" I said to her still having some doubt hell I just couldn't believe it

"What, you think I'd come all this far to lie to you?" She said with a small frown and I shook my head slowly

"No it's just that-"

"You deserve it my dear, judging from how clean your smooth look it's obvious you prepared so much for this" she said with a small smile and I grinned brightly

"Thanks alot ma'am" I said and she nodded before leaving

"OMG! Yessss." I squealed excitedly feeling so overwhelmed

Indeed this was a dream come true for me, finally I would be feeling the hellhole I called a family.

God I just couldn't wait.

I got home that evening, and by the look of things, the news must have gotten home because Dad was all smiles;

And for the first time in many years he even thought of hugging me, something he hadn't done for ages.

Even Aunt Finna his equally wicked sister was all smiles too, that for a moment I couldn't believe this was the same person who maltreated me and my younger sister Kira, speaking of which-I looked around the living room, but she was nowhere in sight; obviously she hadn't returned from work.

Kira POV

"C'mon, babe, one more time please," I chuckled softly as I watched Jamison pleading like a kid

"I promise I won't bite you again just please kiss me..." he pleaded softly puking his lips out for another kiss

I giggle softly and leaned forward to place a soft on his lips

"Satisfied now?" I pulled away to asked, and he nodded with a grin.

"Sure, babe," he replied, and I smiled then stood up from his lap

I turned to the mirror behind us and stared at my reflection for a while before picking up to comb to comb my already messy hair

"So, we would be going out on our first date tomorrow, right?" I asked, still combing my hair.

"Sure," he nodded standing up

"I'll give you a call when I'm ready" he said, placing his arm around my waist

I blushed brightly as I felt his warm breath against my neck, where he was now placing wet kisses on it.

"And please don't forget to wear something s*xy for me," he whispered against my ear, and I giggled.

"Oh, Jamison!"

"Here, let me help you with that," he said and took the comb from me and began combing my hair.

* * *

I returned home that evening and noticed my whole family was in a jolly celebration mood, even my father, whom I'd swear it's been ages since I last saw him crack, was smiling so brightly as he drank wine with Aunt Finna in the living room.

I couldn't help but wonder what was going on, and not until I got into Mina, my elder sister's, room and found her celebrating did it finally dawn on me.

"Oh my God! Sis, tell me you did pass the test," I squealed excitedly jumping on my feet

"Of course I did." Her face stretched into a grin

"You did?" My eyes beamed as I asked and she nodded

"Oh my goodness! I'm so happy for you," I said, pulling her into a warm embrace. my joy knew no bound

Of course I felt really happy for her even though I wasn't really thrilled with this arranged marriage of a thing, knowing quite well such marriages never tend to be happy.

But then I knew how much Mina had been longing for an opportunity like this, and I couldn't really blame her.

I mean, coming from a poor, wretched family and having a callous father like mine, you would be so desperate to leave.

* * *

That evening we were made to eat dinner as a whole family, and this time around we were given real food and not the usual crumbs Aunt Finna used to serve us before.

The entire time Dad kept talking non-stop about how Mina made him proud, and gosh! You need to see my sister during the time she was so red, like an overripe tomato.

Well, it's been such a long time since my dad ever spoke well of us; if he wasn't abusing or swearing at us, then he was beating and mistreating us, so you could see why we were so happy.

Dylan POV

"Wait what!... What do you mean you already found me a bride?" I growled into the phone, running my hands frustratedly through my hair as I listened to the 'bullsh*t' Mom was spewing from the other end of the line

Jesus Christ!

"And how could you do something like that without informing me? What if I'm not ready to settle down yet?" I rasped agitatedly feeling so pissed

How could she get me a bride behind my back when I'm not ready to settle down yet.

I'm a playboy for crying out loud and marriage-that was the last thing I ever wanted.

"Well, I just told you what I want for you, son, and unless you want to provoke me, then try going against me. You know what I can do son-I'm sure you don't want anything happening to your precious Bills Limited," she threatened and my eyes widened.

"What! No, Mom, you can't do that to me." I protested immediately.

"Fine! Then come over to America and take part in the introduction ceremony which will be happening in two days' time," she deadpanned firmly and hung up on the phone even before I could speak.

Geez!

I sighed frustratedly ruffling up my already messy my hair.

Me-a playboy-get married?

What the hell?!

Chapter 2 The Break-up

Bryan POV

I sighed frustratedly, ruffling up my already messy hair.

Me-a playboy-get married.

What the hell?!

"Is anything the problem, love?" A voice suddenly came up behind me, and I turned to see Shawna standing behind me.

My eyes slightly widened in surprise.

God, when did she get in here?

Well, Shawna's my girlfriend, and we've been dating for quite some time now, though we decided to keep it a secret from my family because they wouldn't approve of us no matter what.

And that's because Shawna's more on the baddie side, and knowing my family very well, they would prefer a good, decent girl, one who doesn't smoke, has no piercings or tattoos, and does dress moderately. Too bad Shawna isn't that kind of person.

"C'mon, D, what's going on?" She asked again when she saw I wasn't saying anything but just staring at her blankly.

What's bothering you?"

I sighed deeply, rubbing the sides of my temples. God, what was I going to tell her? Now I can't possibly tell her the truth, right?

"Well... Um, it's nothing actually, you see...." I tried diverting the topic but paused when she suddenly gave me a suspicious look.

"Nothing you say, and you look this tense?" She raised a brow.

Oh God!

Did I forget to say this girl has a way of seeing through me?

"C'mon, D, please tell me what's going on. You know I hate it when you keep things from me," she said softly, wrapping her hands around my neck to give me one of those cute puppy looks of hers, one I couldn't resist.

Fine! What's the point in hiding it when she's still going to find out anyways?

"Well, my mom just called to say they've already found me a bride, and they want me back in America tomorrow for the introduction." I dropped the bombshell as lowly as I could, and immediately her hands, which had been wrapped around my neck, fell from me.

"W... what!" She exclaimed, her eyes dilating in shock.

"You're joking, right?" She rasped, taking a step back away from me. I shook my head slowly.

"It's the truth, Shawna."

"No!" Her eyes turned watery in that instant, and I saw the look of hurt, pain, and betrayal cloud her face.

"Please tell me it's not true, Bryan; at least tell me you're joking," she croaked, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.

"I'm sorry..." I muttered slowly, feeling my heart constricting painfully in my chest. I hated seeing her like this.

Of course I loved Shawna so much, and even though I knew my family would never approve of us, I still couldn't imagine life without her being beside me.

She was the second girl I have ever truly loved, and the feeling was mutual. In truth, we both love each other, even though our love was forbidden.

But then we're both willing to stay by each other's sides even though it means not getting married. We were willing to take the risk, and everything had been going on smoothly for us, well, until this sudden marriage thing.

I looked at Shawna again, but she turned away from me wordlessly.

She walked up to the window side and picked up a stick of cigarettes from the table beside it. She lit it and leaned by the window, staring out of it as she smoked.

I let out an exasperated sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose, feeling so peeved. Geez, this seems way harder than I thought.

"Hey, babe," I called softly as I approached her from behind. I tried touching her, but she swiftly shrugged me off.

"Don't touch me!" She snapped.

"Shawna, please..." I called pleadingly and tried cajoling her in the best way I could.

"Just because I'm getting married doesn't mean things would have to end between us. You know we could still-"

"Oh, really? Is that what you think?" She snapped and turned around to face me. I could only gape at her.

'-That if you get married, we'd still continue this illicit affair?" She scowled deeply.

I furrowed my brows in surprise.

"What are you talking about?"

"It doesn't work that way, Bryan. Once you get married, everything will change between us. because you'll have to stay committed to your wife, and that-I won't be able to stand, so why don't you just show me to your family instead? why don't you just tell them about us?" she said, and I frowned slightly.

"No, Shawna, you know I can't do that. You know I can't-"

"Good. I guess this is where it all ends." She intoned sharply, and I stopped talking. My brows creasing in confusion as I tried to figure out what she meant by that

"Wh...what do you mean by that?"

"That's it, Bryan. I can't continue being your f**k girl anymore, and if you still won't introduce me to your family, then I think it's best if we just put an end to this bullsh*t we call a relationship." She slammed coldly, her words cutting through the air like ice.

I froze. For the first few minutes nothing seems to make sense in my head, and the only thing I could hear was her words, 'Let's put an end to this bullsh*t we call a relationship.'

My breath hitched as the gravity of the words finally sank in.

"Y...you....you want to break up with me?" I asked, my voice quivering.

She puffed air out of her mouth, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear, she replied,

"Well, this wasn't meant to be in the first place. I mean, we weren't even compatible. Take a look at us, you-you call yourself my boyfriend, but you're a big-time flirt who still cheats on me, and I'm the slut who your parents would never accept, so why don't we put an end to everything!" She said

"B...but I love you, Shawna. I agree I'm a cheat, but you're the only woman my heart has ever raced for; none of the sluts I hooked up with ever made me feel the way you did," I said, trying to cajole her the best way I could.

Hell, my heart was breaking. There's no way I could let her leave. No, I can't. I love her too much for that.

"It doesn't change a thing, Bryan. You're getting married anyways, so what's the point of this?" she retorted stubbornly.

"Please..." I tried pleading with her for the very last time, but it seemed like her mind was already made up.

"I'm sorry, but we're done!" She slammed it seriously, and with that she grabbed her bag and stormed out of the room.

I stood there in the middle of the room watching her leave; my pride wouldn't let me go after her.

And not until she walked out through that door did the reality of everything dawn on me. Shawna was gone! Just like that I lost her-my one true girlfriend!

At that instant I lost it. With my head spinning madly, I raged. I knocked down the small table that was beside me. The helpless table fell to the floor, its contents falling off and spilling all over the floor, but still I wasn't satisfied.

Furiously I turned over to the wall behind me and began punching at it, punching and punching angrily till the point I got wounded, but I still didn't care as I continued punching.

Geez! I needed to destroy something.

Just then my phone began ringing from the pocket of my trousers, and I paused to retrieve it. It was one of my security men calling.

"Hello, boss, I just spotted Miss Shawna running out of the premises in tears. Is everything alri_?"

"Get me, b**ch!" I cut him off with a snap and heard him gasp.

"Huh?"

"Yeah, you heard me f**king right, get me a f**king b**ch! I need someone to fuck right now, and you know how I like my sluts: big b**bs and a$$ are very important. I need her here right now"! I ordered.

Shawna POV

I wiped off the fake tears as soon as I was out of the hotel premises.

I made sure I was very far from it before taking a sharp bend into a quiet alley.

I stood in the middle of it and darted my eyes around cautiously, making sure no one was in sight before I took off the fake dark hair I was wearing. Immediately I did that, my real hair-blonde in color-came into view, and I smiled.

I stared at the fake hair in my hand, my smile widening as I proceeded to take off the fake brown contact lens I was wearing, revealing my real eye color-blue. My smile broadened.

It was so good everything had to fall in place without me even trying.

I mean the breakup was supposed to happen even if Dylan wasn't getting married.

But still, thank God an opportunity like this had to come; at least it made everything easy, and now I've got a perfect excuse for it.

Just then, my phone started ringing, and I took it out from my bag only to see that it was 'HIM.'

I picked immediately.

"I'm sure you must have been done with it," his deep, husky voice rang through, and I shuddered lightly.

"Y...yes, of course, anything else?" I asked and heard him snarl deeply.

"Don't act like you don't know the plan. Alexis, I want you here in Sicily!" he ordered.

"O... okay, I'll be there soon, I replied, and he hung up.

I exhaled deeply.

Chapter 3 The slap

Kira POV

I had just closed at the restaurant 'Balma's Kitchen,' where I work as a waitress, feeling so tired and exhausted.

Geez, working as a waitress here wasn't easy, but hell, this was the only way I could survive lest I starve to death.

I walked to the sidewalk, yawning tiredly as I flagged down a taxi.

"Boris Mall, please," I said to the taxi man, and he nodded immediately.

I opened the back door and immediately slipped inside, resting lazily on the seat.

So Mina's wedding would be happening in a few days time, and for that I've decided to gift, even though I didn't have much on me.

I still wanted to surprise her, and that's why I was currently headed to Borris Mall, a popular jewelry shop, to see if I could get her something, even if it's just a small box of jewelry.

Although tonight was supposed to be the night I and Jamison should be going out for our first date, but then I had to cancel it for this.

Jamison could wait. My sister's what more important here.

We arrived at the mall in no time, and just as the driver rolled the car to a halt In front of it, I pulled out some wads of dollar notes from my purse, which I handed out to him. Afterwards, I climbed down from the cab and then proceeded into the mall.

It was filled to the brim when I got inside, and I headed straight for the jewelry section and checked out the different designs, some of which were quite expensive.

I paused. In front of the one with the lower price tag, almost immediately a silver necklace caught my attention. I turned to take a proper look at it.

I fell in love with the design immediately, liking the way it stood out from the rest of the other ones with a cheap price tag.

I took it out from the show glass and began admiring it, wondering if it would fit in with Mina's wedding dress.

Dylan POV

The plane that brought me back to America had just landed a few minutes ago, and I couldn't help but grin brightly as I stepped down and took in the fresh air of America.

"Wow, it feels so good to be home," I muttered to myself, looking around. The place hadn't changed one bit and still looked as beautiful and sophisticated as when I last saw it.

Just then I spotted a black SUV parked on the other side. A man dressed like a chauffeur was standing beside it. Immediately our eyes met, the man signaled at me.

Without being told, I knew it was the ride Mom had prepared for me immediately. I crossed over to the other side of the road and joined him.

"Welcome back home, young master," the man greeted. With a respectful bow as he opened the door for me.

I nodded in response and got inside; immediately he took his space at the driver's side, and in no time the ride home began.

We were already halfway through with it when my phone began ringing. I brought it out, not so surprised to see it was Mom calling.

"Hello, Mom," I answered grumpily.

"Hi, son, So how's it going? Did you arrive safely?" she asked

"Yes mom," I replied curtly.

"Good. I hope you've seen the car I sent to pick you up, right?" She asked again.

"Yeah, and I'm currently on my way coming." I grouched, and there was silence for a brief moment before she started speaking.

"Great. Now this is what I want you to do for me. Remember that necklace I've been telling you about, right?" she asked, and I groaned inwardly. Why do I suddenly have a sudden feeling about where this was heading?

"Yeah, so what about it?" I asked in a raspy tone, feeling somewhat frustrated.

"Well, could you please stop by the mall and pick it up for . You know it's your wedding in a few days time and-"

"Seriously, Mom, do you realize I just got back into town?" I scoffed, unable to contain my frustration anymore.

I just got back into town, and look at what she's making me do.

"So what? It's your marriage in a few days time, and I've been the one shouldering the responsibility for it. Honestly, I'd love to go get that necklace myself, but your marriage preparation had me choked up-"

"Fine! Fine! Whatever, I'll get it for you." I cut her off sharply, not wanting to hear anything about the marriage stuff. To be honest, I'm still not pleased with it.

But yeah, I have to do it.

"Alright then," she said and hung up.

I sighed deeply and rubbed my temples, then I faced the driver, who was still driving.

"Change of location, Borris Mall," I said to him, and he nodded before taking a bend to the other side of the road.

We got to the mall after a very long time, and immediately I climbed down from the car. I didn't even wait for the driver to park properly before I did.

Hell, I just wanted to get done and over with this as soon as possible. I still couldn't believe Mom was making me do this when I should be home right now.

I got inside the mall and headed straight for the jewelry section. Well, I've been here a couple of times in the past, so I literally knew my way around.

As I walked, I could feel almost everyone's gaze on me, but I couldn't care less. Well, being such a hottie who draws attention everywhere he goes, this was not something new.

I stopped at the jewelry section and headed straight to the customized spots where I knew the necklace Mom was looking for would be.

However, as I was about to take the usual turn...

Something more like someone caught my attention from the side, and I turned to take a proper look....

And, God, I almost regretted it.

Just what the hell!

I groaned inwardly as I could feel myself getting arose as I stared at the hot, s*xy Vixen who had her back turned on me-and that exactly was the main deal.

Her ass!

Actually, that was what caught my attention, and, man! Merely taking a look at those huge round goodies, I could feel my erection building up as the usual lust kicked in.

It usually comes up whenever I see huge b**bs and @$$, and even Shawna herself couldn't satisfy that lust in me. Despite how big and endowed she was, I still cheated on her.

Yeah, that's just me. No matter how much I like a girl, I just can't stick to her pussy!

And right now, would it sound so crazy of me to say I wouldn't be at peace if I don't get to f**k that girl?

Just then an idea suddenly struck me, and I decided to go talk to her.

I smirked and began approaching her from behind with the aim of stylishly grabbing one of her goodies. But then, as if she felt me approaching, she suddenly turned around.

Our eyes met, and immediately she glared at me, her brows arching up questionably yet beautifully as she did.

Man, she was so damn cute.

"Excuse me, mister, how may I..."

"Pretty, please just name the price, okay? I promise to pay any amount," I blurted out stupidly before I could stop myself.

"Excuse me?" She squinted at me in surprised utter shock and confusion clearly written on her face.

"Do I know you, Mr.? And what do you mean by that?" she asked, her eyes narrowing.

I scoff inwardly.

Seriously, is she trying to play dumb or what?

What girl doesn't know the popular slang name your price?

"Trying to play dumb, huh?" I started with a playful smirk, watching out for her reaction.

"What?" Her lashes batted together in a blink, one act I found very cute.

"Yeah, unless you're deliberately trying to act daft. There's no way a grown lady like you would tell me you don't know the popular slang 'name your price. Everyone knows it." I smirked mischievously.

"Well, I don't," she deadpanned, firmly sounding so serious.

Oh God!

I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose.

"Fine, since you're going to be acting dumb about it, I guess I'll just have to say it bluntly then: I mean, how much do I have to pay to f**k that cute little pu$$y of yours?" I say rawly because it seems that was the only way she would understand me.

Immediately I said that I noticed her countenance changed a bit and the bright look on her face turned dark.

"What did you just say?" She asked, her tone cold and sharp.

Wait, don't tell me she's angry.

"I said repeat what you just said," she snapped, taking a step closer to me.

I blinked in confusion; perhaps she didn't get me well the first time.

"Well, I was just saying...."

Prraaah!

Her palms moved so fast, and the next thing I felt was a sting in my cheek.

Wait, what?

My eyes dimmed at once, the aftermath of the hit still ringing in my ear.

Did...did she just slap me?!
