She walked to the stage in a white slim fit gown.

She walks gracefully in her silver pencil heel and a silver purse in her right hand.

she walks further to the mic as she gives the guest a feign smile.

wearing a blank look on her face with her hair packed in a perfect bond and some strinds of hair on both sides of her face.

"Good evening everyone"she said as she gives a feign smile again.

"Thank you all for coming today ,with all your busy day you still found the time an you honored our invite. As you all know Daniels Industries will be opening thier new business brand today" she said .

"Daniels Industries says a big thank you to each and everyone that has stayed still with us ,from the day one up to this very day"

"Daniels Industries has brought a new means of happiness to the city of New York.

she paused, realised a feign smile inhaled and continued"we give you "Dan chocolate empire" DCA.

the crowd was left clapping, at her short but beautiful speech, she feigned a smile again and waited for the camera's to do it's job before she left the stage.

The party went on and Maureen attend to the guest with a feign smile plastered on her face.

Most men were left drooling as Maureen walked passed them.

"Mr Daniel the reason I invited you to my office is actually because I want the partnership you and I share to change to a relationship"Mr Radriel said handing Mr Daniels a drink.

"How I don't get you?"Mr Daniel responded with a confuse look on his face.

"Yes Mr Daniels I want your daughter Maureen for my son"Mr Radriel said as he sipped from his Champaign glass.

"What are you serious Mr Radriel?"Mr Daniels asked with his inner mind jumping for joy.

"Yes I'm darn serious about it"Mr Radriel said.

"I know your company is in search for a company that will help in boosting your sales and will help you in making a good name so here is a chance to make a name for your company cause,

Radriel Legacy is giving an open arms to you"Mr

Radriel said with both his hands apart in a wide spread and a drink in his left hand.

"And not only that. I'll be handing you some shares in my company if your daughter agrees to marry my son"

"This is great" Mr Daniels exclaimed.

"I accept this marriage proposal because I know that my daughter will be happy , I have heard of your son, his the most prominent bachelor in New York and I heard he also has his own company. Infact I have heard so many good things about him and I know he will make my daughter happy" Mr Daniel said grinning.

Christopher Daniels did not say yes to the marriage proposal because he loves his daughter, infact it's the opposite,he loathe's Maureen with everything in him,he wish he could just kill her and getting her married would also be a good thing because he wouldn't have to see her again he'll considers her being sold or dead.

"That is perfect. Both parents in agreement. The contract will be signed on Saturday. This is just between you and I" Mr Radriel let out a soft laugh.

"Okay and thank you so much Mr Radriel"Mr Daniels said grinning from ear to ear.

"Okay thanks for accepting my offer"Mr Radriel said giving Mr Daniels a hand shake .

"You called me Mr Radriel"Jade said as she closed the door behind her.

"Yes I did,cancel all my meetings for this week, I have a wedding to plan"

Last night when Mr Radriel saw Maureen,he saw something more to the eyes of men.

Radriel Legacy is one of the biggest company in New York and it has so many branches around the world and it's virtually the company everyone wants to do business with.

Leonardo Nathan Radriel,is a twenty six years multi billionaire.

Leonardo has no time for girls , clubbing or other things young guys do, he is always busy, he has to time to waste its either his funding a new business brand or his partnering with another company.

He's considered the most prominent bachelor in New York.

His perfect muscular body that fitswhat ever he wears, his curly shining black hair that matches his perfect ash eyes.

After the death of Leo's mom ,his only main source of happiness was making his father and twin sisters happy.

Leonardo is guy that can give his last drop of blood to make someone happy, his father considers him "God sent".

He agrees to marry Maureen because,he wants his father's happiness

"You called for me Mr Daniels?" Maureen asked as she walked to where Mr Daniels sat in the garden.

"Kneel"he order. She immediately went down on her knees with her eyes on the ground.

"Have you ever heard of Leonardo Nathan Radriel?"he asked as he sipped coffee from his favorite mug.

"Um um......y.....yes I have heard of him"she sturrted.

"Okay so you guys will be getting married"he said as he re-adjusted himself on the chair

Maureen only blinked repeatedly on hearing what he said , Maureen knows best than to say anything as a form of aggurment.

she only nodded and waited for her to be dismissed.

"Get out!" he order. She stood up From the ground and bowed before leaving.

She's a princess living in her own castle like a slave.

She pushed the glass door opened and walked out of the garden, taking the stairs to her room.

Pushing her door open she walked slowly inside the room. Dhe sat on the floor bringing her legs up to her face folding her arms around her knees as she cried inwardly.

"What kind of life is this"she thought as hot steaming tears slid down her cheeks.

"Mom why did you leave me in the hands of this bastard"she thought

"Mom don't worry, I'll never let him go for what his doing, his going to pay dearly" she swore.

she sat on the floor as she tried to remember memories of her past.

She let the tears pour out of her eyes as she tightened her lips together, not letting a sound come out from her mouth.

Lilac sat on the couch in the living room, with her phone in her hand "No!" Lilac yelled.

"Why can't I just make it to the next level"she grumbled.

"Lilac!" She heard her name from a voice that sounded so familiar.

She turned to the direction the voice was coming from.

"Oh my God ................ leooooooooooo she srceamed at the same time jumping off the chair, letting her phone to the grasp of the cold tile. She ran towards Leo and pushed her light slender body on his.

"Lilac"leo called hugging her rightly.

Lilac carried her legs up pressing her entire weight on Leo's body,

"I missed you so much brother"she said beaming with smiles.

"I missed you a lot to sis"

Leo put her on the ground, turned to his guards telling them to take his things in.

"where is Lila"leo asked,placing his hand around Lilac's neck.

"What's the noise for Lilac?" a voice said coming from the the stairs.

Leo and Lilac turned their gaze to the stairs, to see Lila coming down with a book covering her face.

"At least take your eyes away from a book for once"Lilac said.

"Why do I need too?" Lila answered taking more steps down the stairs.

"bluey!"Leo called.

The name rang in Lila's ear and she was forced to take the book away from her eyes.

Lila knows only one person calls her that, although the voice sounded more muscular.

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhh my gwad Leo,I don't believe my eyes!"she exclaimed throwing her book on the floor.

She ran down the stairs to Leo's direction as she went.flinging herself on his body.

"I missed you brother"Lilia exclaimed.

"Missed you too bluey"

It's being so long since the twin last saw their brother, they only get to see him through video calls. As usual he was always to busy to come home for holidays.

"Where is father?"he asked putting Lila down.

"Father? his in the garden"Lila answered.

"I'll go and see father first, then I'll give both of you your gifts.

"Okay will be waiting"Lila said picking her book from the ground.

Lilac and Lila are the Radriel twin, they are twenty years old.

Lilac Nathalie Radriel,the first daughter of Mr Radriel, she's beautiful with, sexy feature, she's a model, she's crazy and full of life just like Leonardo.

While Lila Nathalia Radriel, the baby of the house, she's also beautiful with sexy shape but she's not the crazy type she's a book warm. She's struggling to get her degree in Law.

the both of them look so identical but they differ in some few things. Lila has blue eyes just like there dad's, while Lilac has a hint of blue with a hint of ash eyes, she took the ash colour from her mom.

"Father" Leo called ,on seeing his father sitted on a rocking chair.

Mr Radriel turned to the voice that called his name.

He knew Leo was home and he was expecting him to come to the garden sooner.

"Mr Billionaire Nathan"his father called standing from his chair.

Leo cracked at the name his father called him. Yeah there's no doubt his a billionaire.

"Son"Mr Radriel called pulling Leo into a hug.

"Father"Leo said wrapping his hand firmly around his father's back.

"How are you son"

"I'm so good father"Leo replied grinning from ear to ear

Leo know his father called him back for a reason, which he was so eager to know.

"But father, don't get why you had to call me back home"Leo asked.

"Oh Leo,I know your so "busy" this days and your eager to know why I called you so you can go back to your business, well I think you can wait for some few hours, we will talk over dinner"Mr Radriel said as he pat Leo on the back before walking out

"Oh God" Leo chuckled.

Mean while at the Daniels mansion, Maureen still sat on the floor ,with her mother's picture in her hand.

"Knock knock"Maureen heard a faint knock on her door.

"Come in she said".

The maid pushed the door opened with one hand, while she held a tray on her other hand, she walked in slowly and placed the food on the center table.

"Miss your food is ready "The maid said.

"You may leave"Maureen said , without looking at the maid.

The maid bowed her head before leaving the room closing the door behind her.

Maureen moved to were the food was on the table, she drank the water from the tray and eat little quantity of food.

Leo, sat on the right hand side of the dinning table, with Mr Radriel at the head, Lilac on the left and Lila sat on the right hand side beside Leo.

the table was filled with so many food, there was turkey ,lobster, beef stew.

"Leo as you know I called you here for a reason"Mr Radriel said breaking the silent in the dinning room.

Leo removed his eyes from his food paying full attention to his father.

"Leo it's high time you look for someone to get married, to someone who will love and care for you and I know just the right person. I've told her dad about it and he has agreed you guy will be getting engaged soon*

"Yeah that's true,we need a sister in-law"Lilac blurted out.

"I agree with you dad,Your right on track"Lila said smiling.

"what do you say Leo?"Mr Radriel asked.

I took few minutes for Leo to get out off the shock he was in.

Everything was happening so fast

"Dad you know I would do anything for you ,but I'm sorry I don't think I'm ready"

"Leo please, I'm not asking for much, all I want is for you to give me a grand child before I go stay with your mother"Mr Radriel said in a very low tone.

"Xommon dad you want to leave your angels , here Lilac said almost in fake tears.

"Leo please"Mr Radriel said trying so hard to convince leo.

Leo pushed the dinning chair backwards "I'm sorry Dad but I don't think I'm ready"he said walking out of the dinning.

"Leo please"Mr Radriel said.

"Dad I'll think about it"Leo said calmly. Not wanting to hear Mr Radriel reply he walked out of the dinning room.

Maureen walked to her white shelf and picked up a book she sat back on the ground with her knees to her face, she flipped,the book as she passed time with the book.

Maureen never knew how time was far spent but she was there until the middle of the night.

she closed the book and kept it beside her as she pondered on her so called life.

The words "Mr Daniels said to her kept playing like a broken record to her, that she could not concentrate on her book.

She smiled bitterly as she thought of how fate has been so cruel to her ever since her mom died, she'd seen hell from her so called father and now she's about to get into a life commitment that she doesn't know the outcome but with whatever happens, she will never show any form of weakness, she knows best than to be a weakline, she is a fighter and always will be.

Leo leaned on the rail of his balcony with a cup of coffee in his hands, e sipped, from the coffee enjoying the flavour combined with the morning breeze that touched his skin.

loeo pounderd on what his father had told him last night, though it's true, he needs a wife but isn't it in his place to pick for himself? He can't just go on getting married to someone he doesn't know, someone he hasn't meet, marriage is supposed to be a life time commitment, how will he commit himself in a marriage just like that.

Yet, he can never say no to his father's wish, he can never live with the fact that he said no to his father.

he also made a promise to his mother on her dying bed that he will always do his possible best to make his father and sisters happy, even if it means him forsaking his happiness.

The issue about him getting married really put him in a dilemma.

"Leo" he heard his father's voice call his name from the other side of the closed door.

"Come in father"Leo said taking a sip from his coffee.

Mr Radriel walked into Leo's room , using his eyes to scan the bedroom for leo.

"I'm at the balcony" Leo's voice came from the balcony .

Mr Radriel walked to were leo stood at the balcony.

"Good morning father," Leo greeted his father.

"Morning son" Mr Radriel answered taking a sit on the empty chair in the balcony.

"Father. Will me getting married to the lady you have in mind make you happy" Leo asked killingng the silence.

"Yes son it will definitely make me happy to see that your settled in life with someone that I can really trust" Mr Radriel admitted.

"I'd that is the case, then can I asked few questions about this so called lady"Leo asked moving towards the empty chair facing Mr Radriel.

"Yes you can son"

"Where did you meet this girl?" Leo asked as he dropped the cup on the table.

"I met her few days ago, when she gave an opening speech for her father's new company, they are rich but not as rich as we are"Mr Radriel said

"How can plan on getting me married to someone you met just few days" Leo asked with a little bit of pain down his throat.

"I met her few days ago but I had something in me telling me she's the right one"Mr Radriel said smiling.

"You know very much father that most girls out there are not looking for someone they would love, they are looking for someone they can call a trophy husband, someone that will give them asses to billions of dollars Leo said getting pissed .

" Look son, you know I can't make a decision without thinking about the consequences, so I want to let you know that I have done a background check on her and she is the best you can get.

and if you not secured, we can make a deal"Mr Radriel said trying to please his son.

"What deal is that father?"Leo asked with a pinch of interest.

"If you get married to her and find out she is not the best, you can just divorce her but that will only happen under one year"Mr Radriel said leavings Leo speechless.

"Father......." leo called looking so helpless.

"Son please... Do think about it"Mr Radriel said standing up from the sit.

"Wait father, can I meet up with her"Leo asked stoping Mr Radriel half way through the balcony exit.

"Yes son you can, I'll make a meeting for you guys to have lunch.

"Okay father"Leo said with a sad look on his face.

Maureen sat on that same position from last night, with the book glued to her eyes.

She didn't close her eyes last night to sleep.

She has never gotten the chance to sleep peacefully without having a nightmare she is tormented daily by nightmare she refers to as demons

She'll rather read all night that close her eyes to an endless torment.

It's been more that fifteen years and she's made it through those fifteen years. So she was definitely going to make it through.

The only time she gets to rest her eyes is when she's rendered unconscious.

Thee demons she see's in her dream are her fears. Fears that she know she can never over come, she can only get used to them,the same way she got use to her cruel fate.

She stood up from the ground, walked to her shelf and placed the book back on the shelf.

Walking into the bathroom, she started undressing, she quickly got into the bath tub and took a quick bath. After her bath she walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her chest.

She walked into walk-in closet, opened it brought out a white round neck blouse and a white trouser and her white undies.

she placed the clothes on her bed,taking of the towel from her body .

looking at her body in the mirror with tears threatening to fall from her face.

Who would ever know that behind this beautiful shaped body,lies scars.Scars she had obtained from being beaten up.

She touched her back and tummy her arm has just little marks, but her other part of her body had, worst mark. Marks that would make people laughing at her.

She quickly rubbed her lotion on her skin, then wore her clothes.

She walked to the bathroom, spreading the towel on the towel rank.

She dragged her feet tothe room and sat on the bed ready to get into another book.

"knock knock"she heard a disturbing knock on her door.

"Come in!" She sighed out. Still paying more interest on the book.

The maid came in with a tray in her hand, closing the door behind her.

"Miss your food" she said dropping the food on the table.

"Miss Mr Daniels ask to see you"the maid said bowing.

At the mention of the name, Maureen, body got stiffened, her head got clouded with sadness, her morning almost got ruined but she didn't let it happen, she brazed up immediately dropping the book on the bed.

She immediately stood up from the bed not wanting to get punished for making the devil wait.

She rushed down the stairs,leading to the garden where Mr Daniels normally sits before having breakfast.

She gather all the courage she could get, pushed the glass door open and walked in.

"Good morning Mr Daniels" she greeted bowing her head.

"You will be having lunch out with Mr Leornado, your husband to be" he said flipping the page of the newspaper.

Maureen, saddened heart turned to a shattered heart ,she didn't want to let the issue of her getting married ruin her morning,but fate like always has been cruel to her again.

"Did you get what I said?"Mr Daniels growled

"Yes! yes I got you" she replied.

"So now get ready and make sure you don't do anything to ruin this or else you would get the worst punishment of your life"

On hearing the word punishment, her body got clouded by fear, she hates anything that brings pain to her even if she had always been punished ever since her mother died she still hates being punished

Finally her morning has been ruined,by the cruel act of fate.
