Chapter 1

Catherine:

"We're sorry, but miss Moretti, if you don't pay the bill any time soon, I'm afraid we can no longer offer our services" The nurse said, a sad look on her face.

My mother had been laying on the same bed for a few weeks, the treatments took all the money that was left.

I nod, looking back at the nurse, "Just make sure my mother is fine, I'll handle the bills" I answered her, glancing at my mom's thin, weak body through the window.

"And please, don't allow anyone in..." I added, my eyes suddenly staring at the nurse's surprised face.

"Well, there was this man...He said he's a friend. He even left flowers" My eyes widened, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest.

"What? And you let him in?" My voice was suddenly loud, as I watched her pale face staring back at me in shock.

I took a closer step toward her, my jaw clenching as I continued to shoot her the same deadly glare.

"I apologize, it was a huge mistake..." The nurse looked down as she gulped nervously.

"Just make sure that won't happen again" I warned, and when she finally nodded her head I left, even though I'm still a bit terrified and scared to death.

I knew he'd come and visit, but I guess I didn't know it'd be so fast!

It's been two years since we last saw him, my father. After discovering his big secret, we decided to leave everything behind: our huge mansion, our jewelry, and the man who provided all that stuff.

I sighed, realizing that my feet were already leading me outside the hospital, not having any clue where I was going.

I dialed some of our relatives' numbers, even some of my mother's friends, but none of them picked up. It was as if they never knew my mother, either that or they just quit knowing us after they heard she was sick and needed their help.

I sighed, wiping the tear that'd been struggling to fall, still wandering aimlessly down the street, but suddenly a red lightning sign blinded my sight, capturing my attention right away.

I looked up and narrowed my eyes, as if that red sign suddenly wasn't something you could just ignore and walk away from. Like it was the sign, the solution to all of my problems.

The sign said "For Gentlemen Only"

I frowned, lost in my thoughts for a moment, a bad idea started to form in my head, and for an unknown reason, my lips mumbled the words:

"They say everything comes with a price".

I then shook my head, there was no way in hell I was giving my body to some stranger and for what? For some money!

The conversation inside my head was suddenly interrupted by the presence of a tall strong muscular guy, who was wearing a black long coat.

My eyes darted to his sharp, well- defined chin. For some reason, I never dared to look up into his eyes. Maybe because, somehow, I was afraid to stare back at him. There was something about him, I could tell just from the shape of his chin, and the strength of his shoulders. The way he walked as if he already owned not just that street, but the whole city.

He stopped, still staring down at me, I could feel his burning gaze on me, just to realize a minute later I was blocking his way towards the house of pleasures.

I cleared my throat, stepping aside immediately. My face heated up all of a sudden when I glimpsed a playful smirk on the corner of his lips.

The tall guy suddenly passed by me, mumbling something I couldn't catch.

The wealth was very clear on that guy, his clothes, his confidence, and the fancy black Mercedes that was parked a few centimeters away from him.

I sneaked a peek at the driver's seat to see a driver already sitting behind the wheel, smoking a cigarette and scrolling on his phone, seeming all bored.

As I was about to leave my spot, a female voice stopped me in my tracks.

"You!" I froze for a moment, then looked towards a middle aged woman standing at the entrance.

"Me?" I ask, gulping nervously. The woman was wearing a lot of makeup, and don't even let me start talking about her slutty outfit.

"Come here" Her order left me speechless as I blinked twice before finally walking hesitantly towards her.

"I have a great offer for you, are you interested?" she asked, her green wide eyes scanning me from head to toe, and it took a long time from me before finally realizing what she meant by that.

"N_No...I'm not" I shake my head, feeling disgusted. Her eyelashes were weighed down with mascara, and the strong smell of alcohol coming from her direction was repelling.

The disappointment on her face was really obvious as she stopped chewing the gum, giving me a cold serious glare.

"Are you sure? It's a great offer" Her question made me realize that this is my chance, and I should just take it, but another voice kept beeping deep down, that what I was doing was wrong, and that I should just continue to walk away from this dirty place, and forget about this whole stupid idea.

My mom would be so disappointed, and mad at me. She had suffered a lot those past few years, and didn't do that just so I would give myself to some stranger for some money in the end!

I shook my head unwillingly, shooting her one last deadly glare before finally turning around.

"He says everything comes with a price" She blurted, louder this time, grabbing my attention.

Wasn't it the same thing I said moments ago?

I stood in my spot, speechless, and paralyzed. I wondered what she saw in me that made her so stubborn to let me go...

Chapter 2

Catherine:

The old lady rolled her eyes at me, "Whatever..." She shrugged her shoulders, before stepping inside, seeming a bit annoyed about my decision.

I kind of felt bad for turning down such a great opportunity, I mean I was really that desperate to get money, but the thought of mom finding out about this?

I took a deep breath as I continued to walk away from the nasty place, watching a few other men stepping in. Just the thought of the reason they were going in made me disgusted.

I paused when my phone suddenly started ringing, my hand instantly reached for it inside my purse. I frowned before my eyes spotted the caller ID.

I rolled my eyes as I decided to pick up. "Guess who's back to town?" Kim said, her high pitched tone made me force a smile.

"You? I thought you said you're coming next week!" My surprised tone made her silent for a few moments before she finally laughed nervously.

"Well, not anymore...especially when my best friend is going through a hard time," She said, reminding me of my mom.

"Cat? Are you there?" Her tone held concern as she waited for my response.

"Yeah..." I said, my voice barely audible.

Kim has been my best friend since high school, she knew about everything I had to go through...

"I'll be waiting for you at Sol's," Kim said, but I shook my head. "I don't think food is what I need right now..." I sighed.

"Alright then...what is the closest bar near to you?" She questioned, seeming worried all of a sudden.

My eyes scanned the buildings surrounding me. "I guess the dime?" I answered her, still unsure.

"Alright, I'm on my way, just wait for me inside" She hung up before I even responded to her.

Kim has already lent me a lot of money, asking her to lend me more won't be right! I took a deep breath and started to make my way toward the closest bar, The Dime.

Half an hour passed since I got inside The Dime, I even ordered two drinks, two strong drinks. However, Kim was still nowhere to be seen.

I checked my phone for the ninth time since I got into this place, wondering if my best friend had forgotten about our meeting.

"Hey you..." Kim's voice suddenly attired my attention. My head snapped toward her direction, and it wasn't only a matter of a few seconds before she rushed toward me, and pulled me into the tightest hug.

"I'm sorry I'm late, it's kind of late and it was so hard to find a cab!" Her apology made me realize I'd put her through so much. 'Isn't she the nicest friend?' I thought to myself back then.

"Come on, I'll buy you a drink!" She invited me to sit on the chair beside her, I didn't even realize she was already sitting, I frowned, realizing it must be the drink!

"I'm not sure if I can..." I pointed toward the two empty glasses on the counter.

"Oh..." I laughed sarcastically at her reaction. "Come on, don't be silly..." She turned her head toward the bartender anyway.

"Do you remember how much we used to drink at parties?" I said, and she only stifled a giggle.

Kim and I continued to drink, but that didn't last long, because her fiancé appeared all of a sudden and took her to the hotel they were staying at.

He offered me a ride, but I refused. I couldn't interrupt their first night together in that beautiful city...

I sighed, taking another drink, thinking of everything...

Even my father decided to show up, showing he still cared about my mother. I just know I can't accept his help.

I'd rather sell my body before accepting his help! Do I need the money? Yes! Am I that desperate? Hell yeah! But am I ready to ask for his help? No fucking way!

"Miss?" The bartender suddenly interrupted my internal thoughts. "What?" I said annoyingly, shooting him a deadly glare.

"We're closing..." He said with a sad smile. I stood from my chair, a deep breath escaping my lips. "Can I at least take this with

Chapter 3

Catherine:

My eyes were burning as I struggled to open them, my hands both covering my face as I felt someone jumping out of the bed.

I gulped nervously as soon as the strong scent of cigarettes mixed with manly cologne tickled my nose. My eyes were suddenly wide open. At first it was his shadow that I saw, a tall muscular guy. But then my eyes landed on the huge tattoo of a serpent curled around a burning skull, it was taking up a large space on his bare back. My heart started racing in my chest, it sent terror through me.

There was only one question in my mind, and I needed to know the answer to it. I was going out of my mind.

My brows furrowed. He was only in his briefs! The scene wasn't so bad from my corner, but why was he in my room?

I finally looked around, it was when I realized that wasn't my room. Since my room walls weren't red. I blinked, my hands reaching for my eyes to wipe them.

Suddenly, a horrible knot tightened in my stomach once I noticed him grabbing the clothes they were lying on the ground, right next to a very familiar blue blouse...

I narrowed my eyes. The realization hit me hard when I realized the blue blouse was mine...

I gasped, my eyes drifting down my body. I froze, my hands tightening over the blanket that's covering my naked body.

My cheeks were heating up, as I suddenly started to realize what had happened last night...and where I was...

"What...happened?" I managed to say, my eyes couldn't even stare at him, but looking blankly toward the white blanket that's wrapped around me.

"You don't remember?" His sharp, cold voice made me look into his eyes for the first time.

I only nodded, avoiding his gaze. "That's odd...I usually leave a nice impression" His Italian accent was like music to my ears.

Oh my god, what the hell have I done? I shook my head silently.

"I have to admit, I thought you'd win the bet..." He added a smirk playing on his lips as he started to wear his black leather shoes.

"What?" I'm confused, and my head was still spinning, probably from last night or from the shock...

"I made a bet with a friend...That you'll come back for the money" He explained further.

My lips parted, my head snapped toward him in shock, but he only continued to stare at me for a few moments, before looking away, clearing his throat nervously.

"I never lose a bet" The confidence in his voice made me even angrier, and crashed!

"So, that's what happened...You used me to win a stupid bet" I gritted my teeth, my hands holding the blanket tighter, as if somehow I was angry with it, not him. But all of a sudden, he started to walk toward my side of the bed, annoyance and anger was pretty clear on his face.

"You really don't remember, huh?" He seemed a bit offended. All that he cared about was his stupid ego. I don't even bother to answer him, my eyes staring blankly toward the wall in front of me.

"You asked for a price. Although it was a high price I gotta admit" His surprised face was telling me I might've lost it real bad last night, even worse than that time I got drunk and burnt my father's precious car.

"I think it was worth it...Especially when I found out later that you're a virgin" His words made me look away from him. I held my tears back.

"I mean, you were a virgin, not after last night of course!" His smirk made the tears struggling to fall down my cheeks, but I couldn't let him win and see how broken I was. He had already taken everything away from me.

"What the hell are you doing in a place like this?" He whispered, his hand pushing my chin up to meet his gaze. He seemed really curious and suspicious.

I swallowed, but didn't even dare to answer his question.

"You weren't what I expected at all, but I guess it was worth every penny" He dared me to say something. How could I? He literally ruined me! I was saving myself for the right person. My virginity was gone, all because of the pervert bastard!

He stood right in front of me, leaning in, his scent made me want to vomit as I started to remember images from last night.

The way I knocked on his door, the way I threw my body against his, and the way I kept kissing him even though he tried to stop me...

Oh my god! It wasn't just him, it was me!

My heart dropped as I remembered every little detail...I wanted him last night just as much he wanted me!

It was me! All along! I started it, but he didn't stop it either!

I gulped, staring right into his black eyes. "Something to remember me with, Catrina" He called out my name, and I suddenly remembered him moaning my name like that last night...

It was wrong, but him calling me that way made all my anger fade. All of a sudden it was so dangerous to stay close to him

I knew it wasn't the right time to admit it, but was it fair to say that him being so close wasn't just dangerous but also was turning me on? I closed my eyes, then opened them only after a few moments to see the wide smirk back to his lips.

"It's good to know you'll remember me as your first," He said before leaning closer to me. I flinched. My sudden move made him pause before he looked deep into my eyes.

"I don't know what brought you to this place," His words made me feel so terrible, it's the same my mother would say if she knew about this...It was heartbreaking!

"But girls like you don't usually belong here" His words sank deep in my heart, it was as if he knew me too well to spit them out.

The guy suddenly grabbed a pile of money from his coat. then threw it on my side of the bed.

"I hope this will make you stay away from this place..." He said with a serious tone.

I frowned, still confused. "You don't understand..." I didn't know why I felt the urge to explain what I did last night, but I just continued to stare blankly at him, frozen and tongue tied as he made his way out of the room.

So, after he took advantage of me and used me, he was trying to be a gentleman? That was the weirdest thing I had ever witnessed!

I looked down at the pile of money on the bed. I couldn't believe that was actually happening...I couldn't believe I'd become that person! I sold myself to a stranger for money!

Tears were too heavy inside my eyes, struggling to fall, but I couldn't even cry.

My head was still spinning as I jumped out of the bed, my knees were trembling and I didn't even dare to look behind me, still denying the fact someone already took my virginity on this bed, terrified to even see the mark of my virginity between those white sheets.

My eyes started to scan the room, searching for my clothes, since I wasn't wearing any...

I squinted once I spotted my black jeans lying not so far from the bed, reaching out for them, my eyes caught something else, a flash drive.

I reached for it, and grabbed it from the floor. I was sure it belonged to him. If someone as rich as him was carrying such an item in his coat, then it meant it was very important to him! Whatever this flash drive held, it must be important...important enough to keep on him at all times...
