Lust For Love: All Adoration For My Only Girl

Author: : Liu Jia
Genre: Romance
In other people's eyes, Amy was nothing more than a spoiled heiress. Everyone thought that she could have anything in the world as long as she called for it. Who would've thought that underneath the branded clothing was a lonely woman in search of comfort? That is, until Walter waltzed into her life. She thought that everything could finally fall into place until it all came crashing apart once again. As Amy ran away in despair, he could only stare at her retreating figure as he found himself crumbling in the own mess he had made. It seemed that there would be no winners in this game of love.

Chapter 1 The Princess

Lights streamed across the ballroom, illuminating the scene before them. The air wafted through the crowd, smelling of sweet cakes and pastries. The event was only exclusive for the biggest names in the business circle. In fact, the poorest guest invited owned tens of millions of dollars. Under the cascading chandelier, both men and women embraced each other as they danced to the slow music. Those who weren't were standing near the bar area, chattering about the latest establishments or jewelry that they had bought.

The ladies by the side held their glasses gracefully as they immersed themselves into a discussion about the latest fashion trends that had been released. Their bodies were covered with shining jewelry. In fact, it was almost difficult to see them through all the glitter.

Wearing a sapphire blue knee-length dress, Amy Luo sat on the corner far from the crowd. Her soft face was powdered with light makeup, making her look incredibly youthful compared to the other women. At that moment, her eyes were narrowed at the groups of people around her. Her mind trenched deeper inside of her thoughts as a completely different scene played in her mind.

In a village far away from the view of the city, there was a small courtyard in the middle of a vast land. Although it was not as spacious as the ballroom, it definitely wasn't as crowded. The grounds were paved with long slates. The house in the center of it all was simple yet ancient. In fact, during the harsh rainy days, the ceilings would creak and leak from the damp wood. They had to put up a bucket to catch the droplets from staining the carpet. However, there was always something about that sound of dripping water that had calmed her through the stormy night. When she closed her eyes, she could still hear the little whistle that had highlighted the most powerful song of nature.

The yard was filled with a variety of animals like chickens and ducks, and they weren't spared from their droppings. In fact, they were scattered everywhere. Occasionally, an old woman would sweep through the pavements with her large broom. Her eyes were always bright with satisfaction, with not an ounce of irritation marring her features.

Outside the yard was a vegetable field filled with ripe fruits and healthy plants that were ready for harvest. All of this could be attributed to the lovely, hard-working man who continually farmed the fields. He had been busy around the grounds for five years. Not only was he incredibly self-sufficient, but she also never heard him complain even once. In fact, she could tell that he dedicated his entire life to the plants around him.

There was a difference between luxury and cheap items, and people could be distinguished the same way. 'These people...they don't know the meaning of hardship.' Tears welled up in Amy Luo's eyes, but she quickly blinked them away. It had been more than half a month since she had taken a break. Maybe it was time for her to visit her home and have a look around.

However, before she could, a man had slowly approached her with a smile. "Miss," he slurred, politely stretching out his right hand.

"May I offer you a dance?" He stared at her breasts the entire time.

"Go away!" Amy Luo snorted in disdain. She sneered at the man with all her heart, yet it seemed as if he still couldn't get a hint.

The man was stunned by her sudden coldness, but he quickly recovered. Instead of leaving, he wrapped his fingers around her wrist. "No one dares to talk to me that way, witch!" His face morphed into a snarl.

"Let me go!" Amy Luo stared at her wrist expressionlessly. There was something about her indifference that made him even more irritated at the sight. He was going to show this bitch a lesson or two about disrespecting him! He raised his hand, ready to smack the living hell out of her when his arm stopped in mid-swing. A sharp pain coursed through his cheek and he quickly loosened his grip on the woman's wrist.

He yelled out, clutching the side of his face. "How dare you do this to me?" he demanded, gritting his teeth.

"Miss Amy, what should we do with him?" The suited man who had subdued him waited for Amy's reply. She shrugged and walked up the steps, without even looking back at the sniveling man.

"Throw him out!" Her words echoed throughout the ballroom. Almost immediately, several men crowded over the young man, lifted him up, and threw him out of the ballroom as if they were throwing a bag of garbage. The strings of curses and threats the man had issued had attracted the attention and whispers of countless of people, but Amy was completely unmoved by this. The scumbag deserved it.

"Who is she? She must be incredibly capable!" When Amy disappeared up the steps, her name set the crowds on fire.

"Don't you know her?" one of them interrupted. "She's none other than Ben Luo's daughter! The CEO of LQ Real Estate!"

"So it is her," one of them whispered. "The Little Princess of LQ Real Estate. No wonder she's so powerful."

This short episode was nothing to the woman's actual capabilities. However, in a few minutes of silence, the accident was quickly forgotten as the crowd found themselves dancing to another tune. It didn't take too long for the ball to return back to normal.

Almost every businessman knew of LQ Real Estate. In fact, it would take a dunce to not know about it. Although the group was known for running the entirety of the real estate industry, their businesses had also expanded to different sectors like luxury hotels and top-of-the-line restaurants. They even had a KTV bar called 'Feather', which was known to many teens in different socioeconomic classes.

At present, many of the ongoing projects in YC City were monopolized by the LQ Real Estate. In other words, they were a group that was meant to be reckoned with. Nobody could ever battle against them.

The man who had just offended Amy must've been a newcomer. Otherwise, how could he not know the basic rule of survival. What was more, the ball was actually held to celebrate the construction of the new exhibition center of LQ Real Estate. He dared to be presumptuous to the heiress. He must've been asking for death!

"Miss Amy, where are you going?"

"I'm going home!" In the presidential suite located on the eighteenth floor, Amy quickly took off her high heels and wore the hotel slippers. She was still wearing the sapphire dress. It made a strange look.

"Please wait! I'll call the driver for you." Shelly Su, the manager of the hotel's customer relations, also known as the 'Golden Key', hurriedly followed Amy to the VIP Passage.

The young woman waved her hand dismissively. "I'll be taking a cab."

"What? But Miss-"

"I said I'll be taking a cab," she snapped. Hearing that there was no room for argument, Shelly Su nodded at once. She immediately picked up her walkie-talkie and told the security guard by the gate to hail her a taxi. When they already reached the ground floor, the taxi was already waiting for them outside.

"Goodbye, Miss Amy!" Once Amy entered the car and left away, Shelly Su breathed a sigh of relief. 'Finally!'

The luxurious five-star hotel was one of the properties of LQ Real Estate. It was also the place where all the large events were held. If Amy appeared in the hotel, Shelly would not only act as the manager of the customer relations, but she also needed to tend to Amy's requests. Although the job brought on plenty of benefits, it was still difficult to serve such a hotheaded boss.

If she were in a bad mood, Shelly would be the first person Amy would vent her anger to. Today, it was obvious that Amy was not in the best mood. Fortunately, even then, Amy never really made things difficult for Shelly and her subordinates. This was also the reason why she never hated Amy despite having numerous complaints.

"Well, I can finally get off work!" Shelly stretched out her arms and smiled in relaxation. After handing over the job to her subordinates, she quickly changed out of her clothes and went home. Her main job was to serve Amy. Now that she was gone, she could finally relax.

'Huh? Wait.' Shelly stopped by the door of the hotel, furrowing her eyebrows. 'Why do I feel like I've forgotten something?'

She recounted all the things that had happened in her mind, slowly nodding her head when she didn't find anything out of place. Shelly shrugged. 'Forget it. I must've thought too much, ' she thought, shaking her head. Without another word, Shelly strolled towards the parking lot.

Chapter 2 A Bad Night

Noisy crowds gather along the sidewalk, yelling drunk profanities in the middle of the night. Their slurs and shouts could wake anyone up from a good sleep. Amy leaned her head against the car window, as her back relaxed against the seat. The neon lights illuminated the dark streets, coloring her lifeless eyes. She sighed, exhausted from the day she had.

In other people's eyes, she was nothing more than a noble but incredibly spoiled daughter of the Luo family. Everyone thought that she had everything she could ever want. Who could ever understand the loneliness she felt under the guise of branded bags and sparkly clothing? Ever since her mother passed away, the only people she ever cared about were her grandparents who were residing by the countryside.

Although she still had her father, the so-called great CEO of LQ Real Estate, they weren't in the best of terms. He loved his daughter so much, but she still couldn't get rid of the resentment in her heart.

If not for him, her mother wouldn't have cried her heart out in the last few days of her existence. If not for him, her grandparents wouldn't have to return to the countryside.

Amy might love her father, that was a fact, but she still hated him deeply for all the things he had done. What made her even more irritated was how much he would force her to accompany him in every business events. She wasn't interested in handling LQ Real Estate. In fact, she didn't know one thing about managing such a large empire. She didn't know why he insisted. Did he want her to see how grand the business became throughout the years? She couldn't care less if her father had owned the world.

It didn't matter if they had enough money to buy a small country. He still wouldn't be able to give her mother back.

Amy squeezed her eyes shut, trying to not to cry. Her fingernails dug into her palms as she struggled to keep herself calm. Her mother's words echoed through her mind like a broken recorder saying, "Honey, promise me you'll take good care of your Dad." During that time, they were the only ones in the ward. By the time her father arrived, her mother had already closed her eyes for good. She wanted push him to the side and ask about his absence. "Where were you? Why were you late?" Amy wanted to demand, stabbing her finger against his father's chest. Instead of spewing out all her anger to the old man, she closed her mouth and turned away, letting the tears stream down her cheeks.

She didn't want to disrespect him in front of her mother. Her mother loved him, no matter how indifferent he was to her. Their broken relationship was only sustained through her mother's love.

However, all of that was over now. It wasn't even half a year since her mother had passed away when her father had married Tina, the renowned daughter of HY Construction Company. It was as if her mother's passing was nothing to them as they celebrated the glorious day. Ever since the event, Amy would never consider the villa as her home anymore.

A home had always been with the family, not the house. And for her, her family had died long ago. That luxurious villa was just a cold building filled with lost memories.

"Miss, we're here!" the driver interrupted her thoughts. Opening her eyes, she stared out the window at the villa district. A frown marred her beautiful face. It was the middle of the night, and almost all the lights across the sidewalks were turned off. The shadows shrouded over the car, as if there were beasts threatening to crawl out the dark.

Although she didn't like this place, she had no other choice.

"It will be three hundred and twenty, Miss." The taxi driver hurriedly waved his hand once he saw that Amy was about to get off the car. Just as she stood on the driveway, she furrowed her eyebrows upon hearing his words.

"What?" 'Didn't Shelly pay for the fare?' Even if she was Ben's daughter, it wasn't as if she always brought money with her! Amy looked at herself up and down, moving the ruffles of her dress. There was nothing on her but a dress and a pair of slippers.

She didn't even bring her phone! At the thought, the young woman gritted her teeth. How could she have forgotten her wallet?

Seeing the embarrassed look that had flashed on her face, the driver quickly got out of the car and stood a meter away from her, as if to block her from escaping. She couldn't help but snort at the thought.

"Miss, didn't you bring your money?" The taxi driver stared at Amy's empty hands worriedly. Sweat beaded down the man's forehead. He didn't expect that she didn't have money on her. In fact, the woman even came from one of the most high-end hotels in the area. This was a joke!

"I..." she stuttered out before shaking her head. "Wait, I actually live here. How about you wait for me and I'll go get the money now?"

Amy was about to walk towards the gate of the villa when the driver quickly stopped her. His eyebrows were raised, and his mustache twitched at her words. "Do you think I'm that gullible?" he demanded.

"What if you'll run away? Who will I ask the money from then? The tree?" She bit her lips, trying her best not to snap at the man in front of her. Although what he had said was completely reasonable, she still didn't like his tone. Even the carpet in her room was worth far more than three hundred!

"If you don't trust me, then you can come with me," she snapped back. Crossing her arms over her chest, her foot tapped on the pavement impatiently. Not only was this night ruined for her because of that bastard, but she also had to deal with this now! Her scowl deepened further. At first, she had been polite to the man, but now he was already going too far. What else did he want? For her to grovel at his feet?

"Ha!" The driver snorted. "You think I could enter such a high-end villa that easily?" Although he was just a driver, he did have a brain. Knowing the village and its inhabitants, he knew for a fact that he couldn't just waltz in there.

"Then what do you want?" Amy asked unhurriedly, leaning against the taxi. Now that she had no money with her, all she could do was wait.

The driver raised his hand to glance at his watch. His lips twitched when he saw that it was already two o'clock in the morning. "Look, how about you call your family and ask them to give you some money," he suggested.

Although that was indeed a good idea, it wouldn't work seeing as she forgot to take her phone with her. She shrugged helplessly and motioned to her blue dress. If she had brought her phone, this would've already been done and over with!

"Use mine then." Instead of picking up his simple phone, she rolled her eyes. "Do you think I memorize the phone numbers?"

The only number she remembered was 911.

"You..." The taxi driver stomped his foot on the pavement in annoyance. As his eyes were twitching incessantly at the stubborn woman in front of him, a figure popped out from nowhere and pulled Amy aside.

"Please take me to the Lobster Bay," he stated. There was something about his voice that made him seem anxious.

"I'm not leaving until she pays my fare!" the driver said, crossing his arms and leaning against the car. His beady eyes could bore a hole into her back. It seemed that he wouldn't leave until he got the money. Hearing his words, Amy gritted her teeth and mirrored his actions.

"You act as if I'm stealing from you! Do you even know who I am?" Amy snarled, having enough of the man's accusations. He froze. "Lady, how could this be my fault? Who drives a cab without getting paid?"

At this point, their shouts had attracted the man from inside the car. As soon as he poked his head through the window, he could see a woman standing not far away from the car. She was facing the driver. She was wearing a knee length sapphire off-shoulder dress. Her long hair fell down her back in soft curls, giving off this glossy glow under the dim yellow light. She was thin with very defined collar bones. Although he couldn't see her face because of the light, he could tell that she was a beautiful woman.

The people outside the car kept on arguing. He was going to let them be when his phone rang. He answered, "Hello?"

"Man, where the hell are you? They all want to see you," his friend urged from the other end of the line.

"Just give me a minute." Annoyed, the man hung up his phone and got out of the car.

"How much does she owe you?" Walter Long asked coldly, shoving his hands into his pockets. In less than a second, he already pulled out his wallet. As the leather glinted under the artificial light, Amy furrowed her eyebrows.

Was he going to pay for her fare? Although she couldn't see him clearly, she could tell that he was incredibly domineering.

"Three hundred and twenty, but three hundred is fine," the driver replied, shooting Amy a glare. Walter Long handed him a few bills. Upon looking closer, the driver realized that it was four hundred dollars! "Keep the change," the man added with a shrug. "You're so lucky to meet such a good man!" The driver clapped happily.

Without another word, he stepped into the car. Amy's eyes widened momentarily from what had happened. What the hell just happened? Did that stranger really just treat her?

The taxi revved to life, knocking her out of her thoughts. Seeing that the taxi was about to drive away, her fists slammed against the top of the car like a mad woman. Hearing the noise, Walter Long rolled down his window in confusion. The driver quickly slammed onto the breaks.

"Hey!" she called out. "What's your name? Where do you live? I can pay you back!" It was Amy's principle to not have anyone to pay for her when she could pay herself. Not only would it lead to misunderstandings in the future, but it also could bother her at present. She wasn't going to let that principle go just because he was a stranger.

"Really?" Walter Long mockingly raised an eyebrow.

"I'll pay you back," she insisted.

"Look, if you don't have money to take a taxi, don't wait to do it late at night. It's not that late for you to catch a bus." 'What? Does he think I couldn't afford the fare?'

"You think I should thank you?" she said fiercely. Unexpectedly, the man bobbed his head in response.

"If it weren't for me, you'd be stuck there the entire time. Shouldn't you be thanking me?" Before she could respond, the car had already sped away. At the sudden wisp of the car, she found herself falling onto the pavement.

"Do you want to die? You bastard!" Amy screamed as the taxi sped away. Her cheeks were flushed as her small fists slammed against the ground. Just as she was standing up, a white car stopped beside her. Shelly immediately got out of the car, holding her breath.

"Miss..."

"Fuck off!" Amy stood up and stomped to the villa district, ignoring Shelly.

'Holy shit, I'm so screwed!' Shelly felt that she had forgotten something, only to realize that she didn't pay for Amy's fare. It seemed that at this point, she could kiss her entire career good bye.

"Miss, please! Let me explain!" Shelly chased after Amy as the winds blew through the night. In the starry sky, a meteor streaked across the clouds and fell onto the horizons, making for a beautiful sight.

Chapter 3 The Final Battle

YC City's taxis were painted dark green, matching the color of ginkgo leaves during the spring. Their fresh color glinted across the road, reflecting the streetlights as they passed by. One of the reasons why this color was chosen was because YC City held the largest number of ginkgo trees in the world. Every spring, their tender buds could be seen in every corner and lot, drooping heavily over the sprinting children. During the summer, their leaves would all cluster together, acting as a shade for any passer-by.

In late autumn, the streets would be filled with dark red leaves, while some remained in the air, following the wind like soulless butterflies. In winter, the ginkgo trees were at its loneliest with their waving branches. It was these trees that brought a sense of life and romance into the busy city.

However, there was one place in YC City that didn't have a single ginkgo tree in sight – The Lobster Bay. Instead of soft leaves and frail twigs, a fragrance of cordate telosma wafted across the air.

The taxi sped across the dark. Its original color had faded into the shadows of the night. Walter leaned against the car window with his eyes closed. His dark chestnut hair was ruffled by the harsh winds, but he didn't look affected. Instead, his fingers rested on the car door as he took in the strong scent of cordate telosma. He didn't have to open his eyes to know that he had finally arrived.

As expected, the taxi went to a full halt. "Sir, we're already in Lobster Bay. That will be four hundred bucks," the taxi driver had turned and said.

However, instead of pulling out his wallet, the man pushed the door open and stepped onto the pavements. Seeing that he wasn't planning on paying, the driver hurried to catch up with him. "Hey!" he called out. "You still haven't paid me yet."

Just then, three men had already walked towards them. The Lobster Bay was one of the most dangerous place in YC City. Not only was it filled with hardened criminals, but it was also surrounded by many sketchy areas. If his son didn't need extra money to go to college, the driver wouldn't take this job. Now, it seemed that he had wasted his time yet again!

"Haven't I already given you four hundred?" Walter asked expressionlessly. There was something about his voice that made the driver shiver.

"What? When?" He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. Just then, it hit him. "Wait, wasn't that for the lady earlier?"

"I asked her how much she owed you, but I didn't say that I'd pay for her." He snorted. His response completely deflated the driver. The old man sagged his shoulders in defeat, regretting of even leaving that place. However, before he could say anything else, Walter had already walked towards the group of men.

"Boss, something wrong?" A muscular man in a vest glanced at the taxi driver and crossed his arms. With a shake of his head, Walter disappeared into the corner without turning back. The driver was about to follow him, but before he could take a few steps, the muscular man had blocked his way. "I–I..." he stuttered out. The brawny man took one step closer, and the driver knew for a fact that there was no way he was getting his money back now. Without another word, he sprinted back into his taxi and drove away at a speed of a hundred twenty miles per hour.

Although money was good to have, it definitely wasn't worth risking his life over. "I'll never drive to that damn place again," he swore to himself.

The Lobster Bay was located at the northernmost area of YC City. In addition to clubs, there were a few supermarkets around the streets for everyday life. However, that was as far as it went. Other industries wouldn't survive in such a dark part of the city. Standing at the Main Street of the Lobster Bay, Walter gazed at the colorful advertisements flashing before his eyes.

He couldn't remember the number of times he had been to such a place. If his father was still here, he'd probably scold him about ruining their family's reputation. However, at this point, he had no other choice. To take back everything that had once belonged to him, he had to do many things that he was usually unwilling to do.

"Hey, handsome, looking for someone?" Suddenly, three women had approached them. Their hairs were decorated in many accessories and styled in the most exasperated ways. As soon as they approached, the stench of alcohol hit him like a tidal wave. Wrinkling his nose, Walter frowned. The muscular man next to him took it as his cue and quickly drove away the three women. One of the men with him sighed as he stared longingly at the women's backs. "They aren't that bad," he murmured. "What a pity."

Walter rolled his eyes as he lowered his head, making sure that he wasn't seen.

"Aren't that bad for what?" he asked, taking the lead as they walked down the last alley located at the end of the street. Behind him, the music blared from the various bars that they had just passed. It seemed that the deeper he went, the louder the noise was.

"For what? We're in the East District? What do you mean 'for what'?" The lascivious man snorted. He was none other than Harold Gong, one of the few men who grew up with Walter. The young master of the Gong Company was also Walter's assistant-in-charge of the Tsing Lung Right Wing. Although he was almost the same age as Walter's, they didn't share the same personalities. While Walter kept to himself, Harold loved being admired and talked about. He was the type of person who took everything for granted. He was also known as a womanizer.

"Haven't you reached an agreement last time?" Walter narrowed his eyes.

"You know how Gerry is. If he doesn't sign the agreement this time, you can count that I'll chase after him." Harold Gong waved the agreement in his hand, winking at him. It was obvious that the man came well prepared. While they were talking, they finally arrived at the abandoned warehouse. "Walter's here!" someone shouted, and suddenly, the two groups who had been fighting immensely immediately divided. After estimating the number of enemies, Walter sneered. 'One to three.'

"Boss."

"Boss!" The members of Tsing Lung Right Wing immediately made way for him as he walked to the center. Although his people were definitely less than their enemies, there weren't many casualties. As he observed the unconscious bodies, he turned to the men who were holding the steel tubes. Their faces were flushed and beads of sweat ran down their cheeks.

"What? Gerry asked you to sacrifice yourselves, yet he hid like a coward?" Eric Ning snapped. He was Walter's right-hand man. Not only did he had a sharp tongue, but he was also notorious in picking a fight with other gangs. Walter smoked his cigarette and blew tiny circles into the air, analyzing the crowd. He looked like a spectator watching a good show.

"Don't be so arrogant! It's enough for us to teach you a lesson. Why does our boss have to do it himself when he has other more important things to do?" A short man squeezed to the front of the crowd.

"Oh?" Eric Ning recognized him at a glance. "Nick? You're still alive?" Nick was an infamous figure in the underworld of YC City. Not only was he famous for his malicious acts, but he was also widely known for betraying his own friends and boss. Gerry dared to use such a disgusting man. It seemed that there really was no good men on the Tsing Lung Left Wing.

"Humph! I..."

"Walter, my bro, I've been waiting for you for a while now." A bold voice echoed across the warehouse. Gerry waltzed into the scene with a large smile on his face. He was briefly followed with several influential figures from his group. As soon as he saw Walter, the man neared him like a fly. Gerry quickly held his hand and leaned closer. A faint smile threaded across Walter's lips.

"Please don't bother smiling. It makes me want to vomit," Eric Ning said to Gerry, exaggeratedly gagging.

The smile on the man's face froze, but he didn't react. He was more than thirty years old, and Walter was just in his early twenties, yet he still continued to call him his 'bro'. No matter how hard Eric Ning tried to make things difficult for him, he always kept a smile on his face.

"Bro, I actually invited you here today for the East District," he started. "You see, your men have already occupied half of YC City. Are you sure–"

"I won't be giving it to you," Walter interrupted, pulling his hand out. "Although Tsing Lung Right Wing has more than half the power in YC City, there are still small gangs around the block. Although we have more people, we have less land."

Gerry might have heard the man's blunt refusal, but there was no way he was giving up that easily. "Walter." He sighed.

"You've just placed me in such a dilemma. The right and left wings have been known to be brothers. Why would you divide it so easily?" Walter shrugged. Although what the man had said was true, ever since Gerry led his men to engage in drug trafficking and other more illegal business, Ryan, the leader, had banned them. In other words, the right wing was Tsing Lung Gang in its entirety.

Although they might be gangsters, they still had their own morals.

"Since we're family, then you won't mind signing this." Harold took out the agreement and placed it in front of him. As soon as Gerry scanned through the contents of the agreement, he was stunned. 'The members of the left wing will never step onto the East District. Those who break the rules are severely punished.'

"Walter, aren't you a jokester? Do you really think I will sign this?" Gerry provocatively raised the agreement in his hand. With a release of his fingers, the paper landed onto the pavement.

The East District of Lobster Bay was next to the mountains and the seas. Not only was it suitable for business, but it was also very convenient for escaping. How could he willingly give up such a precious place? The fight for the East District had been going on for several months. Gerry gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. He was going to end it tonight. Walter didn't need to be a mind reader to know what the man was thinking.

With a tilt of his head, his lips twitched. It seemed that there would be a fierce battle tonight.
