Heyyyyy, the new girl. Come on, don't just stand there. You must be starving" the head chef said. I knew her. She was never really nice to me, but she was not mean to me either. She mostly tried to avoid every contact with me and that was okay for me. It was way better than having one more person who was interested in beating you to stupor. I willed my legs to move, surprised at the kindness that coated her every word. " Scoot over Thomas, give the girl some space to sit. She seems to have been through a lot recently" she said. " Seems she is the shy type. Let me tell you something sugar. Here, there is no shy type. We all work together to achieve and get through every day. So if you think keeping quiet is going to help you out, you are flat out wrong. I would advise you to actually try to introduce yourself." Henry said. " Hi, my name is Aurora" not telling them my my real name. Amelia returned to the pack as Aurora after was scorned, revered and bullied by her pack members for reasons best known to them. Discovering the Alpha was her mate on her eighteenth birthday, her woes only became worse and not better. Deciding she's had enough, she took off from the pack, in search of the truth, She decided to equip herself and carefully plan her way to reclaim what is hers, this time determined not to be trampled upon and take back all that has been taken away from her in multiple folds.

Chapter 1 The Beginning of my Plot

Amelia's Point of View

The dress was just a boring white gown, more shapeless than anything I had ever worn.

Elena was not kidding around when she said Gina hated her maids outshining her.

As we walked into the dining room where they all sat now, I could make out some familiar faces.

Faces of people that bullied and treated me bad. I felt my chest beating with fear and hard as I walked into the gigantic room.

The air was choking with the smell of meat and wine, the two best friends of every werewolf.

It was never a dinner without meat and wine. Especially in this pack. They all sat round the table, chatting and eating as they talked in pairs. Gina was surrounded by about six females, all kissing up to her feet as they helped her to cut her meat and pour her wine.

The alpha sat at the far end of the table, his mind probably anywhere else but the dining room.

As we entered the room, all eyes turned to us briefly. The eyes were searching, looking to see who I was, if I was weak, so they could pounce on me and make me the pack's weakling like before.

I knew those stares. So when they were directed to me, I steeled my face and puffed out my chest, trying to look as formidable as possible.

Eventually, all eyes left me and they all continued with dinner like I was not even present.

A pair of eyes still lingered on me, watching my every move as I walked towards Gina.

Those cold eyes were Alpha Cina's. He had a look on his face, like he was trying to remember something but couldn't.

I stared at him too, not willing to break eye contact first. When he finally relented and looked at his meat-filled plate, I glanced up to see Gina glaring at me. If looks could harm, I would be dead and forgotten by now.

The realization that she might have seen the alpha and I little staring contest made the walk to her chair painfully slow.

Perhaps she may slap me or do something more drastic.

As I reached her, I bowed softly, trying to fit into the role of good servant.

She looked at me, her nose turned up in the air in disgust, like she hated the way I smelt.

" I asked you to give her a hair cut not take her to a beauty spa. And why does that dress look a little too tight around the bust? I want you to change into something bigger tomorrow. And burn this one. I would not to see it on anyone else's body." She said.

I nodded to signal that I understood.

She had taken a few bites of her food when she finally looked up.

" Well then, what are you waiting for? Do you see people of your caliber at this table? Go to the kitchen and meet your kind there. Your presence alone makes the food turn sour in my mouth" she said waving me away.

I walked away slowly, my legs heavy.

The kitchen was a place no pack member ever ate at. No matter the rank. We all ate together as long as we stayed in the pack house. Except for me anyway. Everyone disliked me in general so I was voted off the table.

But the fact that the maids and omegas were now made to eat in the kitchen was a change that surprised me. Just how worse have things become since I left?

In the kitchen, the whole kitchen staff including the head chef sat at a round table, eating and chatting amongst themselves, just like how they all did outside.

They seemed used to it by now. Passing the bread and the meat amongst each other. Like the table outside, they all paused when they saw me.

But their eyes were not judging me, or trying to tear me apart and see if I would break.

" Heyyyyy, the new girl.

The brown-haired boy named Thomas scooted in obedience, pointing to the now vacant space for me to fill.

I lowered my self on the chair, suddenly feeling very self conscious. I was not smelling or anything, but I also did not smell nice.

I tightened my arms around my self and tried to manage a small smile to the little crowd all looking at me curiously.

" Seems she is the shy type. Let me tell you something sugar. Here, there is no shy type. We all work together to achieve and get through every day. So if you think keeping quiet is going to help you out, you are flat out wrong. I would advise you to actually try to introduce yourself." Henry said.

I knew him, he was a pack member that assisted around the house. He always threw stones or sticks and insults my way anytime he saw me walk past.

The memory cut through my heart as I stared at him, trying to will my chest to stop beating so fast.

I swallowed. I should make friends. Even if it has to be with this crowd of people. They were all alike.

They were all alike, just like the snobby wolves out there stuffing their face full with food.

But I was with them, and they had no idea who I was. I should at least try to get along with them.

With that thought in mind, I said.

" Hi, my name is Aurora" not telling them my my real name.

Chapter 2 Fitting in with the crowd

Amelia's Point of View

" Hi aurora. You have a really nice name, and a nice face too" a guy at the corner said. His name was Mark, I knew him, recognized him as one of my numerous bullies. Then again, everyone bullied me.

" Stop trying to flirt with the newbie mark, seriously, finding your mate would be delayed if you keep getting into every woman's pants" the head chef said.

Mark muttered, words about how his mate was probably dead and long gone and how he had come to terms with it.

" I'm Sofia. I clean and do the laundries" a timid girl said.

I did not know her, she was probably new here. Maybe a mate to one of the pack members.

A girl waved at me. She was on a pixie cut and she wore an identical robe to mine.

" I'm Delilah, one of the Luna Gina's maids. Believe me when I say, you have a lot to learn. First, that dress is too tight for you if you want to work with the Luna. Something more shapeless would do. And your hair is just so pretty. She might decide to chop it off herself like she did mine. " She said nonchalantly.

I looked at her in horror. Was she seriously used to this treatment? This form of lifestyle that it did not seem to bother her any longer.

" Oh please don't talk about the Luna. I was just beginning to enjoy my meal" a guy besides me said, rolling his eyes.

" Is she that bad?" I asked, not wanting to seem like a disrespectful person to their Luna, but also curious as to just how bad she was.

Mark laughed.

" Is she bad? Girl, she is worse than bad. If there was another word to describe how it is, I would use it. So self absorbed and grumpy. Rumor has it, she charmed the alpha. No one in the pack ever liked her. But we just had to make do, besides the alpha's mate was..." Mark was saying until he quickly cut himself off.

My heart started to beat fast again in my chest. He was about to refer to me.

" Mark stop talking" the head chef said, her voice sharp but low.

I decided to push further. There was no getting out of this one now. Curiousity was eating at my bones, eager to find out what he was about to say.

" The alpha's mate what?" I asked, trying to sound uninterested when in reality I wanted to beat him up until he spilled every last information.

" Nothing really. I talk too much when I eat. It's a bad habit. Pass the bread Sofia" he mumbled quickly, his words intertwining with each other so fast that I could barely make out what he was saying.

I nodded, pretending to understand.

After the dinner, Delilah led me to the shared room for all of the Luna servants. We were twelve in number.

The room had a bunk bed and a tiny wardrobe for all of us.

" Hey newbie. Everyone is talking about you" a girl said immediately I stepped in.

She got up and engulfed me in a hug.

I staggered back, overwhelmed by her sheer force and the sudden movement.

" Natasha give the girl a breathing space. Welcome newbie. " Another girl in a corner said.

Natasha showed me to my bed, a vacant bed dressed with a strawberry covered duvet and bed clothing.

" The bed belonged to Avery" she said sadly, her eyes looking into the distance.

" Oh, did she leave the pack?" I asked.

Suddenly, the room got eerily quiet. Everyone staring at me, different looks in their eyes.

My mind went back to what Elena said. The maid who had died. Perhaps it was this Avery.

Just like that, I felt myself regretting my whole decision. The pack was more deadly than when I first left. I was not the only one being bullied or treated harshly now. Basically everyone that was not up to their social standards were considered as inferior.

I could feel my heart beating madly in my chest. A part of me loved it. It felt like karma for all the times these people treated me like a lesser creatures. But was it really worth it if the people who actually made my life a living hell could do the same to others now?

I settled on my bed, the thought of sleep eluding me. There was a knock on the door and all the girls sat up right.

A man entered. He was one of alpha Cina's guards.

" Aurora, the alpha would like to see you" he said, referring to me, voice booming through the room as the girls all turned to look at me.

" Did you do something to offend the alpha? Oh Goddess I hope not for your sake" Natasha said, tugging at my arm slowly.

I was frightened. My whole body seemed to have given up immediately I heard the message.

With the last will power I had left in me, I got up, walking towards the door like a sacrificial lamb.

They all looked at me, pity in their eyes. I feared for my life too. But somehow, I was more scared of him discovering who I really was.

Had he perhaps picked up a scent? I shook my head to get the negative thoughts out of my mind.

As I walked behind the guard who came to call me, I could feel my legs wobble. This was all a bad idea. I was not ready to face this pack.

I thought I was but with everything happening, it just showed it was too much and I was definitely not ready for it.

As i entered the familiar office, I said a short prayer to the moon goddess, asking for a temporary strength to face him and not break down in tears.

He sat there in all his glory, Gina next to him, rubbing his chest slowly.

" Alpha you really shouldn't do this to me. Don't you want pups?" She was saying seductively in his ears.

" Leave Gina, I want to talk to her alone" he said.

Gina looked up, her eyes blazing fire.

I swallowed

. Just then, I knew that he had unwittingly signed me up for something that might take my life.

Chapter 3 Getting on the Luna's Bad Side

Amelia's Point of View

She looked at him for a while then smiled like she was fine with it.

" Okay baby, be quick, I would be waiting for you." She said. With that, she leaned in and licked his lips slowly.

I cringed in disgust. Now I had to add that to the list of things I wish to unsee.

She shook her hips, swang them from side to side as she walked away, sending a sharp glare towards my direction.

She pushed past me, making me nearly lose my footing. I took in a shaky breath. I shouldn't be like this. Why was i scared of her? I was supposed to be formidable and not timid. What happened to the determined girl that came back to the pack?

" What were you doing on our pack borders rogue?" He asked suddenly.

The question took me by surprise, me a rogue Wolf?

"Open your eyes Alpha, I was supposed to be your Luna" I said inwardly

" What?" I asked unconsciously.

He looked up, his eye brows raised.

" I don't like repeating myself twice. What were you doing on the pack borders? Were you sent by the full moon pack? Are you some sort of spy?" He asked.

My eyes widened.

" No of course not, I was not sent by any pack. I don't even know which pack bears the name full moon. I had no idea I was on your pack borders and I really appreciate you taking me in" I said, trying to sound as firm and respectful as I could.

It seemed to work because he looked up at me with an amused look.

" Then what pack are you from?" He asked, his eyes still holding distrust.

I swallowed. From a young age I had always been a pathetic liar. And although I knew I had to lie, I was unsure just how much of the lies he would buy. Quickly, my brain formulated a story.

" I'm a werewolf but my parents had lived among the humans ever since I was born. My mum told me stories about werewolves but I knew none and we were the only kind among humans. However they died and living became very hard. I ran into the woods when I got into a big fight with some humans. I had no idea I was trespassing. I'm very sorry" I said, feigning tears.

He looked at me for a while.

" I'm willing to take you into my wings and make you one of the pack members. But, you will and must pledge your allegiance to this pack and you would report to me and me alone." He said.

" Okay alpha. Does that mean I won't work with the Luna any longer?" I asked, a small joy bubbling in my insides.

" No, you will continue to work with the Luna as her maid, but you will always report to me" he said.

I looked at him in confusion. Why was he so adamant on keeping me close. I hated this idea. It would probably blow up in my face and distrupt my laid out plans. But I knew I couldn't argue with him.

I smiled softly and nodded.

He stared at me for a while, looking at me with suspicion.

" There is something about you that I just can't place. You feel so familiar. Have we met?" He asked.

I froze, my tongue sticking to my throat.

" No...no I don't believe we have" I said, controlling myself from stammering and giving him something to go on and on about.

He looked at me for a while now, before nodding his head and gesturing for me to leave.

I walked out quickly, my legs barely touching the ground as I closed his door. Finally, I let out the breath i had been holding since he mentioned knowing me.

I breathed deeply. It was all right. All i had to do was figure out what the woman in my dreams meant when she said my destiny was in this pack.

As I turned the corner, I slipped, falling and hitting my head hard on the floor.

A pair of shoes stood, looking down at me with a smile on her face.

The smile quickly turned to a frown on disgust as her eyes met mine.

" Get up" The Luna said, hovering above me.

I whimpered softly, not wanting her to see how much pain I was in.

I got up, my legs shaking as I stood in front of her.

"Luna, I did not see you there" I said, bowing down, trying desperately to not look her in the eye.

" What's your deal?" She asked, her hands folded across her chest.

" Ma?" I asked pretending not to understand what she meant.

" Are you deaf? I'm asking what precisely you want." She said shoving me into a corner.

" I just want a roof over my head Luna" I said, making my voice sound pathetic.

I knew just how much people like her loved watching other grovel and beg. I was at her mercy now, but it won't be for long.

" Really? You show up and start trying to kiss up to the feet of the alpha? Now I don't know who you are or who sent you, but darling, I would have you know that he is mine and mine alone. And if you think you can waltz in here and shake your pretty head to get what I worked for, you best be ready for it to bite you in the cheek " she said.

I nearly snickered. It was laughable because she thought i was interested in Cida?

I wanted to tell her how much I wanted to shove a knife deep into his stomach and watch him cough out blood. I bet her face would be hilarious if I did. This made me smile.

She looked at me in anger.

" You think it's funny huh?" She asked. With that, she slammed my head into the wall, over and over.

I bit my lips and and reined my wolf in. I wanted nothing but to pin her to the floor and dish out blows into her perfect little face.

She finally stopped, looking at me.

" Know your place. Or I would teach you how to know it" she said, stepping past me as she walked away.
