Chapter 1 Night of Love

Werewolves and vampires is long-time enemies, had entered human society. They divided the land between them, constantly fighting for control and power. A fierce battle once broke out in the forest between two strong groups, but neither side won; both their leaders died.

Today, the new leader of the werewolves, the Great Alpha's heir, would be named. High-ranking werewolves stood in line, ready to show their respect. Women from different tribes, wearing shining clothes, waited for him with excited eyes. Tonight, he would also introduce his wife.

"We may be a bit late, but do they really think they can beat you? Just look at them, daughter," a loud voice said.

The door opened, and in walked Katherine, the daughter of the Bravo leader. She was seen as the perfect match for the new Alpha.

"Those low class fools need to know their place. The queen has already been chosen. It just hasn't been announced yet and that is me," she said with a cold voice.

The celebration for the new Alpha's announcement was causing trouble to everyone, he is nowhere to found. His most trusted warrior sent out a team of beta to search for him.

Apollo was the fifth Alpha of the Lotus tribe. The Great Alpha had ruled for thousands of years from the Wide Lawn at the Mountain of Great Britain, but a new leader had been found someone said to be chosen by fate and that is him.

Apollo's great-grandfather had led for a thousand years. Then Apollo was born, with dark powers stronger than anyone else powers that made others afraid of him. His time as Alpha was said to bring the fall of the vampires.

But nobody knew that Apollo had fallen in love with Carmella, the only person who could touch the darkness in his heart. She came from a powerful vampire family, led by Vampire King Hades. She had golden fangs and was picked by the vampire council to be the Queen of their kingdom.

When Apollo arrived at the place where they agreed to meet, he saw Carmella staring at the lake, unaware that he was there. He came up behind her and hugged her.

"Happy Anniversary, my Alpha!" she said with a smile, tilting her head back. He kissed her neck gently.

He held out his hand.

"What?" she asked, raising an eyebrow, a teasing smile on her lips.

"My anniversary gift? Where is it?" he asked. She took his hand and placed it on her belly.

His face turned serious. "Is this... could it be..."

She nodded, her eyes full of tears she hadn't yet cried.

"I love you," he whispered, lifting her into his arms and spinning her slowly. "This is the best gift ever." He carefully set her down and gave her a soft, loving kiss.

But their joy didn't last. They heard footsteps nearby.

"Damn it," he muttered.

"Your men are here, my Alpha," she said, forcing a smile.

"I already talked to the Great Alpha. We don't have to hide anymore. Very soon, I will make you my queen. You, me, and our child we will be a happy family like any other family. I will stop this war," he said with determination.

"Can that really happen? After thousands of years of hate? What if we're hunted down, like others who dared to love across clans?" she asked, her voice full of fear.

He looked into her eyes and didn't look away. "We will be the change. I'm the Alpha, and you're my queen, my soul. We will make this dream real. Werewolves and vampires will live together again, like in the old days. I swear."

"I'll wait," she whispered, her voice soft.

~~~~
The dark forest echoed with many footsteps. The hunt was long and hard.
"Split up and find them!" the Beta General shouted, his voice full of urgency.
"We don't take orders from you," one werewolf growled, angry.
"There is no time for arguing! We need to find them now!!!" another one said, his eyes burning with focus.
They broke into groups and rushed off in different directions, quiet and fast.
"Stop," one werewolf said, changing into human form. "Forget the others. Focus on finding that woman. It is her fault why the Alpha chose someone else instead of my daughter. Find her and kill her and her baby too!" His voice was full of hate.
Carmella ran, gasping for breath, still weak after giving birth. The Beta and Gamma wolves were catching up to her. She hid behind a big rock and gently laid her baby down. "Be good and wait here. Mommy will come back," she said, her voice shaking.
Her golden fangs came out, shining in the low light. She jumped out, biting and attacking. More Beta wolves surrounded her, their howls loud in the night. "No! They are too close. There is too many of them!!" she thought, fear creeping in. Suddenly, a large golden wolf slammed into her. Just before she could be bitten, a strong force pushed the wolves away.
"Apollo!" she called, relieved. Only he had the power to do that without even touching them.
"Sorry I'm late," his voice spoke into her mind.
"Why are you here? Were nit you supposed to be at the ceremony?" she asked, confused.
"Go somewhere safe. I will take care of them," he said firmly.
"Come back to us safe," she whispered as she ran back to her baby.
"Daddy will be back soon my princess," she said, kissing his child, heart full of love and fear.
"Carmella!" she heard his voice, her safe place in the storm.
"We are here, Apollo," she replied, her voice tired but strong.
"Let's go," he said weakly before falling to the ground. His skin was pale, his wounds deep.
"Apollo?!" she screamed, terrified. She had never seen him like this.
"They gave me something... an injection," he said faintly.
A werewolf came and knelt in front of Apollo.
"Listen, Carmella," Apollo said weakly. "He will take you somewhere safe, far from the clan. You and the baby will be okay. Please, Carmella hide together with our baby she us the prophecy and everyone hunting us just to kill our baby."
"I'm not leaving you!" she cried, tears falling. "I won't!"
"I'm the next Great Alpha, remember?" He touched her face, resting his forehead on hers. "Please, just this once, do what I ask for the seek of our baby, for the seek of our love."
"Fine. He will take our baby. But I'm staying. I will fight with you. I won't give up on our love," she said, voice full of fire.
"You can't. She needs you. She has great powers. Our daughter is the one from the prophecy, the one who will end the war," Apollo replied, desperate.
He held their baby gently and looked at her for the first time. "My princess." He kissed her forehead. "She will do what we couldn't." He looked at Carmella, his eyes full of hope. Their daughter was meant to unite the two clans and lead them.
He handed the baby to his mother and held back his tears. "Now go," he said, turning away, his voice heavy. "When this is over, I swear I will come back." He kissed Carmella's tears away.
"Promise me," she said, her voice cracking.
"I promise," he said, sealing it with a kiss.
"Now go!!!!!" he yelled, filled with pain and love.
Chapter 2 Nightmare From the past
18 years later.
"Mom! I'm gonna be late!" a girl shrieked, yanking her long, golden hair into a messy ponytail. "Where's my lucky jacket?!" she yelled, tossing clothes haphazardly from her overflowing wardrobe.
"On the bed!" her mom's voice called from downstairs.
"And my keys?"
"Here!" A set of keys sailed through the air, landing with a clatter on her vanity.
"Got 'em!" she snatched the keys and dashed to the window. "Start the car, guys!" she shouted, tossing the keys to her friends waiting below.
She practically flew down the stairs, grabbing her bag. "Okay, bye Mom! Love you tons!" she threw a flying kiss over her shoulder and bolted for the door. A hand gently tugged her arm. She turned to see her mother.
"Is this really necessary?" Her mom sighed, her eyes filled with a mixture of worry and resignation.
"Seriously, Mom? I'm not five! I'm turning eighteen tomorrow, and it's not like I'm going to Mars. It's a two-hour drive. Plus, I've got my three amazing bodyguards with me, remember?" she said, trying to reassure her mother with a mention of her three reliable male friends.
Her mom let out a long-suffering sigh, a small smile playing on her lips. "Fine," she conceded. "But please, be careful."
"Of course," Alexandra nodded, kissing her mother's cheek. "Bye, love you!"
After her daughter left, her mother stared at a framed photograph, a single tear tracing a path down her cheek. "Can't blame me for being a overprotective mom, can I? I've kept my promise, Apollo. When are you going to keep yours?" she whispered, her voice breaking. "I can't even reach you. Are you okay? Are you still fighting out there, protecting us?" She sobbed, clutching the frame to her chest.
"You brought that book again? Seriously? Haven't you read it a million times already?" Alexandra smirked, catching sight of the novel in her hands. "My Tutor Is A Werewolf By. Dimple'z."
"Oh, come on! Don't underestimate my love for Leonard Hammington! I could read it a thousand times and never get tired of it!" she declared proudly, flashing a grin at Blite, her twenty-one-year-old, perpetually cheerful friend.
"Yeah, yeah, of course! Miss Fantasy-land!" Blite teased.
"I'm a werewolf and vampire writer, not a reader," Alexandra corrected, puffing out her chest.
"Correction: you're a werewolf-hater who writes fantasy novels!" Blite retorted, her laughter echoing in the car.
"Hey, I don't hate werewolves. I hate the way supernatural stuff is portrayed on TV – the demons, fairies, vampires, and werewolves. It's all so over-the-top! I'm a grown-up now, that's why I'm writing fantasy novels. I'm gonna get the facts straight, and maybe even make a movie out of it," Alexandra defended herself, her voice laced with a touch of defensiveness.
"Yeah, a seventeen-year-old spoiled brat with unrealistic dreams," Blite teased, her eyes twinkling with amusement.
"I'm turning eighteen tomorrow, and I'm not spoiled! My mom just loves me a lot," Alexandra retorted, pouting dramatically. The two of them were like a pair of bickering puppies.
"Okay, okay, eighteen-year-old mommy's girl, then," Blite conceded, letting out a fake laugh.
Suddenly, the car lurched violently, throwing them forward.
"What the hell, Walter?!" Alexa shrieked, turning to her friend and longtime driver, Walter James Mchally.
"Give me a break! You guys are killing my ears! Can you please shut up, at least for today?" Walter shouted, his voice strained.
"Yeah, I agree with Walter," Samantha chimed in from the passenger seat, Samantha Harry, Alexandra's best friend since middle school.
"Thank you, Sam. You understand me," Walter muttered, his lips pressing into a thin line.
"Hey, guys! Cool it! We're on a road trip, not heading into battle!" Scott intervened from the back seat, his voice calm and soothing.
"She started it," Blite glared at Alexa, pointing an accusing finger.
"You two are acting like toddlers. Let's put on some music, Sam. Do the honors?" Scott asked, turning to Sam. She shrugged, putting on some upbeat rock music. The music drumming in their ears, the group resumed their journey, the tension momentarily eased.
"Oh my god, I'm so dead! Mom's gonna kill me! It's midnight! Look at all these missed calls! I told you we should've left earlier!" Alexa exclaimed, stepping out of the car. The house was dark.
"Why are the lights off? Is Mom asleep?" Alexa wondered, a prickle of unease running down her spine.
Walter's eyes widened. "Wait here," he said, sprinting towards the house.
Scotty exchanged a quick glance with Sam, then nodded. "You guys stay here," he said, following Walter inside.
"What's going on? Is this some kind of surprise birthday party?" Alexa asked, glancing at Sam, a nervous smile playing on her lips.
"Maybe," Sam replied, her smile not quite reaching her eyes. A moment later, a loud crash echoed from inside the house.
"What was that?" Blite blinked, her eyes wide with alarm, staring at the dark house.
"Forget the surprise, I'm going in. Something might've happened to Mom," Alexandra started towards the door.
"Don't!" Sam quickly stepped in front of her, blocking her path.
The noises grew louder, more frantic. Alexandra tried to push past Sam, but Sam held firm. Then, something huge smashed through a window, landing with a bone-jarring thud, shattering Alexa's beloved flower pots.
"What the actual hell?! You ruined my beautiful flowers!" Alexandra shrieked, staring in shock at the enormous, hulking beast that had just crashed through her window.
The beast grinned, its teeth bared in a menacing snarl, and growled at them.
"Is that... a vampire?" Blite gasped, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"Get back!" Sam suddenly lunged forward, transforming into a wolf before their very eyes, attacking the other wolf with a ferocious snarl.
"Whoa! Did you just see that?!" Blite shouted, her mouth agape.
Another loud crash came from inside the house. "Mom!" Alexa cried, spinning around. "I have to get to Mom!" She ran towards the house, only to find it invaded by wolves... and vampires? They were everywhere.
"Mom?" she screamed, her voice barely a whisper. She sensed something approaching, her hair standing on end. She swallowed hard, her breath catching in her throat. Then, a figure appeared beside her, his voice a desperate plea. "Run!"
Her eyes widened at the sight of her savior, a pale figure ripping into the legs of a creature lunging towards her. He grabbed another, plunging his fangs into its neck, sucking its lifeblood.
"Walter?" she whispered, her voice trembling. It took a moment to recognize him, her friend, her protector. She watched, horrified, as he wiped his bloody lips.
A beast struck her, sending her sprawling to the ground. Her legs trembled, her eyes squeezed shut. But when she opened them again, Walter's hands were on her neck, holding her back. "Run, Alexandra!" he urged.
Her legs refused to obey. She crawled down the stairs, feeling a sharp pain in her leg. She turned to see a pale figure rushing towards her – a powerful woman with long fangs. Alexa fled to her room, slamming the door shut. "What in the world is going on? Am I dreaming? Or did I somehow stumble into one of Dimple'z books?" she whispered, hugging her knees, her face a mask of shock and disbelief.
The door creaked open, revealing a woman with long, sharp fangs. "Daughter! Get out of here!" she hissed, backing away until her back hit the wall. The woman approached cautiously, the moonlight illuminating her face, highlighting her fangs. She took a deep breath, her voice softening. "Don't worry, honey. Mommy's here."
"Mommy?!" Alexa's eyes widened, her voice filled with a mixture of disbelief and relief.
Chapter 3 3
Alexandra's eighteenth birthday wasn't going as planned. Instead of a surprise party, she found herself staring at a chaotic battleground: her own living room, invaded by werewolves and vampires. Walter, her friend, blocked her entry, the scene unfolding before her eyes like a horrifying movie. Friends were transforming into animals, and her mother was missing. Panic clawed at her throat., and her mother was nowhere to be seen.
"No! Stay back!" she screamed, backing away from a pale figure, her voice trembling.
She grabbed the bedside lamp, ready to defend herself, but before she could throw it, her body began to change. Her skin became startlingly white, her frame slender and elegant, her eyes a vibrant purple. Then, she saw her mother's face in the mirror – her own face.
"This is me," her mother whispered, a faint smile on her lips as she collapsed to the floor.
"Mom!" Alexandra cried, rushing to her side.
"I'm so sorry," her mother whispered, her voice barely audible.
"Sorry for what? What's happening? Who are they? What do they want? Why were you... like that? Please tell me I'm dreaming! This will all disappear when I wake up, right?" Alexandra sobbed, holding her mother close.
"I'm sorry you had to see this. I'm so sorry I couldn't tell you sooner," her mother wept, her apologies heartfelt.
Alexandra was completely lost. She couldn't pretend everything was normal after witnessing a violent attack by vampires and werewolves, an attack that clearly targeted her family.
"You need to get out of here. Go somewhere safe. Run," her mother urged, her voice weak but insistent.
"Yes, your majesty. We're leaving," Alexandra nodded, wiping her tears.
"Alexandra? Are you in there?" a voice called from the doorway.
"Scott?" she breathed, relief washing over her.
He rushed inside. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, but Mom's hurt. We have to get her out of here," she sobbed, pointing to her mother.
Scott assessed the situation quickly, his expression grim. "Don't worry, we have backup. Let's go." He helped her mother and Alexandra to their feet.
Suddenly, vampires attacked. "Not so fast, my dear, betrayed friend," one of them sneered.
"Scotty, get my daughter out of here. I'll handle these," Carmella, the Alpha's wife, appeared, her eyes blazing with fury.
"But-" Scott started to protest, but Carmella's commanding gaze silenced him. He knew better than to disobey the Alpha's wife.
"Yes, ma'am," he said, quickly helping Alexandra, who was struggling to leave her injured mother.
"What do you mean, 'get me out'? I'm not leaving Mom! What if something happens to her while those monsters are here?!" Alexandra protested, her voice filled with panic and desperation.
Carmella didn't respond to her daughter's pleas, focusing on the vampires. "Scotty, hurry!!! Get my daughter our Luna to safety!!"
Scotty scooped Alexandra into his arms. "Don't you dare," Alexandra glared at him, but he ignored her.
"Sorry, spoiled brat," he muttered, leaping out the window with her.
A car pulled up. "Wait, what kind of mess did you get Blite into?" Scott asked Walter angrily.
"I got the car, and this one," Walter gestured to the unconscious Blite. "I have no idea how we're going to explain this to Blite. She's human, remember? No supernatural blood."
"We'll get Luna to the tribe. And hopefully, Blite won't be too freaked out. She's still our friend-and this spoiled brat," he added, indicating Alexandra, who was still struggling in his arms. "Put me down, Scott! I'm not leaving Mom! Let me help her!" she cried, hitting his shoulder.
He sighed and carefully put her down, but she immediately tried to run back inside. Walter intercepted her, his breath coming in ragged gasps. "H-how... you..."
"Because I'm a vampire," Walter smirked, pressing something against her neck. "You should have listened. I wouldn't have had to do this, my dear cousin." He picked up the unconscious Alexa and placed her next to Blite.
"Where's Samantha?" Scott asked.
"She's gone ahead to prepare for the meeting with the Lotus Tribe," Walter replied.
They didn't waste any time, heading straight to the tribe.
Alexandra slowly opened her eyes, her mind still foggy. She heard a door click open. "Mom!" she cried, springing up and running to the door.
"Oh thank god, you're awake!" Samantha stood there, relief etched on her face. "You alright?" she hugged Alexandra tightly.
As Alexandra's memory returned, she pushed Samantha away. The night's events replayed in her mind: the wolves, the vampires, the betrayal of her friends, and the horrifying truth about her mother. Wait... did that mean she is also one of them? No, if that were the case, she would have known. But did that mean her mom wasn't her real mother? The thought was terrifying. "That's impossible!" she shouted, her voice filled with disbelief and denial.
"Alexandra, calm down," Samantha tried to soothe her, but Alexandra recoiled.
"Don't touch me! You're a monster!" she screamed, her voice raw with pain and betrayal.
"Okay, I'm not. Just calm down," Samantha conceded, stepping back.
Blite entered the room.
"Alexandra!" Blite cried, rushing towards her, but Alexandra stopped her.
"Don't!" she glared.
"I'm sorry we had to keep our identities secret. I know you're angry, but Blite is human. You both got a huge shock last night," Samantha explained.
"I'm going to leave you alone. Call me when you're ready to talk," Samantha said sadly, leaving the room.
"Wait! What about Mom?" Alexandra called out, her voice trembling.
"We... we couldn't find her. We're still searching..." Samantha started to approach again, but Alexandra stopped her.
"Please, just go. I need to be alone... please..." Her voice was barely a whisper, and the room seemed to darken, reflecting the despair within her.
~~~~

"Alexandra, stay out of the woods," her mother warned her six-year-old self. They lived on the edge of a vast forest in America.

While her mother prepared dinner, Alexandra ran off to chase some dogs.

She was heading home when she saw a huge, golden-furred dog leaning against a tree. It was much bigger than any forest dog she'd ever seen, and it was injured.

"Doggy!" she called, running towards it. "Are you hurt? Doggie!" she gently shook it.

The dog didn't respond, so she ran home to get a medical kit. When she returned, the dog was awake, but seemed to be crying. "Doggie, you're okay!" she said, concerned. "Do your wounds hurt? That's why you're crying," she asked, applying ointment to its wounds. "Pain, pain, go away," she hummed, blowing on the ointment. The wounds healed instantly.

"How did you do that?" she asked, amazed. The dog was about to touch her face when her mother called.

"Alexandra! You ran off again! You're so stubborn!" her mother sighed, shaking her head.

"I'm here to see you and your mother," the dog said, making Alexandra's eyes widen. She blinked a few times, trying to make sense of what she was hearing. A talking dog?

"Why do you live here? It's dangerous," the dog scolded, looking directly into her eyes.

Alexandra wasn't scared. She just grinned.

"Go home to your mother and don't wander off alone in the forest," the dog warned, starting to leave.

"Where are you going, Doggy? Your wounds might come back," she asked.

"I'm not a dog, and dogs don't talk!" he snapped.

"Doggy!" she giggled.

He rolled his eyes and started to walk away, but stopped when he heard Alexandra crying.

"Oh god! You naughty dog!" he sighed, turning back to her. Alexandra immediately stopped crying. She smiled and wiped her tears.

"Let's go," he said, helping her onto his back.

She rested her cheek against his soft fur, falling asleep on his back. He gently set her down at the front door.

"I miss you and your mother," he said, kissing her forehead before disappearing.

When Alexandra woke up, she was in her room. Her mom was crying, holding her hands. "Thank god you're okay, baby. I was so worried."

She didn't meet the dog again until they moved to the city.

.......

Her eyes opened to an unfamiliar ceiling. She touched the soft blanket, remembering the talking dog. "A talking dog? I was crazy thinking they were real. And now... I'm surrounded by them," she smirked.

She got up and went outside.

A bonfire blazed in the clearing, people milling around. Children played, but then she saw people turning into wolves.

Several golden-haired wolves approached. They bowed. "Now what?" she frowned. A woman appeared before her, "Your Highness!" she knelt. Alexandra was taken aback by her speed. She realized she was the only human there. "ME? You're mistaken. I'm not the daughter of Queen Elizabeth," she said, rolling her eyes.

"No, Your Highness, we've been waiting for you," one of the wolves said, transforming into a woman. Alexandra almost fainted. Okay, animals turning into people again.

"Don't be afraid, we are your family," another wolf said, transforming as well.

"We are the First Lunas. I am your father's sister," the eldest introduced herself as Elias Agon. Werewolves weren't immortal, but they lived for almost a thousand years, except for the Lotus tribe, where the Luna and Alpha ruled, the Luna chosen by the moon goddess. She explained about vampires and werewolves, and their thousand-year-old feud.

"Let's talk about your connection to us-and them," Elias said, gesturing to nearby vampires.

"They're vampires, but friends. From your mother's side," Elias smiled.

"Ready to discover your two worlds?" she asked. Alexandra nodded.

"Your father was the Alpha of the Lotus tribe, a very special one, who controlled dark powers. Your parents fell in love, thinking they could change the world, believing their marriage would solve everything, because of a prophecy."

"What prophecy?"

"Vampires and werewolves were the most powerful beings. They fought endlessly. The prophecy said the first child of my nephew would combine both powers, but the Vampire King and the Great Alpha opposed it."

"We, the werewolves, have chosen you as our leader," Elias said. "You're the true heir, royal bloodline, the next Luna of the Lotus Tribe, with vampire blood. You're the chosen one to unite both clans, ending the hatred. But first, we must defeat King Hades."
