The Maybach slowed down before the giant villa. The street lights seeping through the windows illuminated the inside of the car. Sitting inside the car, Nina Lin's heart was beating wildly. She was nervous and scared, but there was no way back.

She arrived at the villa and waited until the butler opened the door. She nodded politely before entering into the villa.

Her eyes had been covered by a piece of cloth.

They wouldn't let her know the identity of the buyer.

Yes. At the moment, she was nothing but a commodity who was being sold to someone who'd enjoy her at his will.

She had to make this sacrifice just for her little brother who was lying in the hospital bed for his heart operation. Her brother inherited this congenital heart disease from their father. When their father was diagnosed with the disease, their mother left them. Her father died not long after, leaving the two of them alone.

She bit her lips to get a hold of her mind. She needed to be strong. For her brother.

"Are you scared?" a deep, almost hypnotizing voice asked her from not afar.

Jarvis Ji was observing her since she entered the room. She had been clumsily moving around and biting her lips, causing her lips to swell and turn red. They looked so inviting that he felt the urge to bite on them.

"No, I'm not." It was a lie. She was obviously scared. She would have escaped from here right at this moment if it was possible. But now the only thing she could do was to comfort herself by repeating the words that she wasn't scared.

Jarvis Ji stood up and took a step towards her. Nina Lin sensed someone approaching her. The place was so quiet that except her own breathing she couldn't hear any sound. Although she tried to calm her nerves, a tremor ran down spine. She trembled helplessly even if she tried not to.

"I don't like forcing. If you're unwilling, you can leave at any time." Although Jarvis Ji was determined to take his son to join his grandpa's 80th birthday celebration, he didn't want to force her.

"No! I'm willing to!" Nina Lin sounded a little too eager as she was immensely concerned for her brother's operation. She couldn't just leave because her brother needed her support.

As soon as the words left her, she was picked up by a pair of strong arms in a bridal style and held her close to his chest. She was so close to his chest she practically could hear his heartbeat. The steady and powerful rhythm of his heartbeat made her unreasonably calm down.

She had imagined her buyer as a pervert or an old man. But now that she was in his close proximity, he didn't match her expectation.

"Don't worry. I will be gentle," he whispered. As a result, her heart started beating faster. "If you feel any pain, you tell me to stop."

The man took her to a bedroom on the second floor before slowly putting her on a bed. He got onto work as soon as he put her down. She was hyperventilating at his touch. He certainly knew how to touch a woman.

Her clothes were taken off her body, and she felt more and more nervous.

"Don't move," he softly ordered. Her soft body, bright red lips and chubby cheeks excited him in an instant. It was now impossible to stop. "Didn't you just say that you were not scared?"

Upon hearing this, she breathed heavily, trying to compose herself.

"I'm not scared."

The moment she said those words, he leaned in, closing the distance between them and pressed his lips against hers. Things got heated as their bodies crashed into each other.

At the back of her mind, she still had this question about this person weird demand. What kind of man was he? Why did he need her to give birth to a baby for him? First, she was told only in-vitro fertilization was needed. But three days ago, they said she had to sleep with a man. Otherwise, the transaction would be cancelled. For this, they would give her another five million, and thus she couldn't refuse the offer.

Her brother's surgery and the recuperation after that needed a lot of money. She had researched a lot and found out that the best way of quick recovery was to go to the United States, where the latest technology was available. That was why she needed money. A lot of money.

In the meantime, the man was becoming more and more restless with each passing moment. His full focus was on exploring her body. He began to move his lips on hers before slowly making his way down.

"May I know your name?" she asked.

Jarvis Ji looked up at her and pinched her chin. "Sorry, you can't." He went back continue his unfinished business. She felt his hot breath on her body, inciting a tingling sensation in her. She arched her body up into him and wrapped her arms around him.

The night passed in a blink.

Next morning when she woke up, the man had already left. She didn't even get time to look at his face.

She sat on the bed, looking around groggily when she heard a knock on the door. "Miss Lin, I'm the maid of this house. My name is Lea Liu. Our master has asked to take you to clean up."

Nina Lin covered herself with the bed sheet and replied, "No, thanks. I'll go by myself."

"Our master also asked to inform you that the deposit has been transferred to your account."

Nina nodded dully, acknowledging that.

She was sore all over. Last night was her first time and she would never forget the experience.

After Lea Liu left, Nina Lin wrapped a bath towel around herself and went to the bathroom to take a bath. She saw the bath had already been prepared. She got into the bathtub and relaxed down. Her mind kept replaying the thought that if she gave birth to this child, her brother's disease could be cured.

A while later, she took out her phone and transferred the money to her best friend, Nancy Zeng, who was taking care of her brother.

Nina Lin and her brother were twins of opposite sex. The two of them looked alike, but the disease caught her brother in its grasp. She feel guilty for not being able to do anything about it.

There was a possibility that her brother's children could also inherit the disease.

She thought he was deprived of his health because of her, so she must do everything to his brother's disease for a lifetime.

At a very young age, her mother left them, and they lost their father to this chronic disease. She was left with none but her brother. People around her used to bully her, but she had no one to stand up for her.

Only a senior schoolmate who surnamed Ji stood by her. Whenever she had a hard time, he'd always encouraged her, which was probably the only comfort in those darkest years. But now she was no longer pure and had no right to call for him.

The same day, at night, the man came again.

Her eyes were still covered. Tonight was different than yesterday. He wasn't as gentle as last night, but it wasn't painful anymore, rather it was pleasurable.

They made love again and again.

"The doctor said that it can increase the chance of pregnancy,"

Jarvis whispered in Nina's ear before getting up from the bed.

Nina nodded slowly. Her entire body was wearing out. The silk cloth which was covering her eyes had come loose at some point. However, due to the dim light of the room, she still couldn't clearly see his face.

She could only see the outline of his body, including his abdominal muscles and abs. But his facial features were still hidden from her eyes. She had touched his prominent nose and felt his soft lips on her multiple times in the past two days. After all, they had been in intimate positions and she had tasted his addictive kiss so many times.

She sensed him approaching her. She instinctively dodged his advancement, but was stopped by his surprise embrace.

"Don't be scared," he whispered while softly running his hands through her hair. Then as quickly as he did, he tightened the cloth piece around her eyes.

As expected, Nina didn't fight to stop him. She had to abide by the terms of the contract. She couldn't know who this man was.

The moment Jarvis held her in his arms, a comfortable warmth spread through his heart. His eyes fell on her red pert lips, which looked inviting.

"What should I do? I want to have sex with you again," Jarvis mumbled, while his lips grazed against her ear. His hot breath tickled her ear.

Nina couldn't object and the next moment the two of them were having sex again. Her body seemed to be plundered away by this unknown man. After their love making, he left, and she didn't have strength to stand up to take a shower.

This went on for few more nights until the most awaited day came. Nina realized she had skipped her period.

Her period had always been accurate.

She asked Lea to buy the pregnancy testing kit. As expected, the result was positive. She was both happy and disappointed.

She had sex with that man and was going to have his child. For an instant, she had almost forgotten that he was nothing more than her buyer. She couldn't develop feelings for him.

When Lea learned the news from her and congratulated her, she knew that her time in the villa was about to end.

He returned to her room at night while she was still blindfolded.

He didn't waste any time and started unbuttoning her shirt after placing a quick kiss on her lips.

"I'm pregnant," Nina blurted quickly.

Jarvis' hands froze once she said so. His gaze shifted and fell on the pregnancy test stick sitting on the bedside table. He could see the two bright red marks on it.

"That's great. Congratulations," Jarvis said, but his tone was more disappointed than an excited one.

"Congratulations to you too," Nina replied.

Jarvis straightened and stared at Nina. He had an impulse to remove her blindfold right now, but he refrained his urge.

"I will ask Lea to take good care of you. Thank you for your hard work in the past month," Jarvis said. "You can continue to live here. I'll help you with the school matters."

Nina nodded.

Jarvis didn't know why he was talking to her so much today. He was a man of fewer words, but today he couldn't hold himself back.

There was an intense fear in him that he would fall in love with her.

In these past few days she had affected his life so much. It was like she already knew him from before.

No, it was impossible. He only needed a child, and there was a bigger plan waiting for him to realize. He couldn't be dragged down by anyone!

Jarvis collected his emotions together and decided to leave.

"Take good care of yourself and the baby. If you need anything, ask Lea anytime. Don't hesitate," Jarvis said.

"Will we meet again?" Nina didn't know why she asked such a silly question all of a sudden.

After a short pause, Jarvis answered, "No." Then he strode out of the room.

Nina sat their slightly embarrassed. What was she even thinking? She didn't even know his name, nor did she see his face. Even if they met again, how would she recognize him?

Nina convinced herself that it must be the hormonal imbalance caused by her pregnancy that made her emotions go haywire.

After that day, eight months went by.

Meantime, Nina had visited her brother in the hospital quite a few times during her pregnancy. Her brother still needed a ventilator, but his comatose situation had improved now. When she consulted the doctor, he assured her that her brother was recovering steadily.

Time went by and her labor day arrived. On her labor day, she secretly went upstairs to see her brother. The person whose baby she was carrying, didn't know about her brother, nor did he know that her brother was in this hospital. Nina didn't want to tell him.

She saw her brother lying in the bed while holding the book, The Little Prince, which she had given him.

She peeked through the ICU watch glass, then looked down at her belly.

After she got pregnant, she almost had been isolated from the world. Her best friend, Nancy, had told her several times that she wanted to meet her, but Nina had refused her every time. She didn't tell anyone her whereabouts, including her brother.

"Nina, what are you doing here?" A voice interrupted Nina's solitude. Nina looked up and found Gavin Xia, Nancy's cousin.

"Gavin, you..." Nina felt flustered getting caught by him. "Could you please not tell Nancy and my brother about me getting pregnant? They don't know."

Gavin Xia frowned and asked, "What's going on?"

"I..." Nina didn't know how to explain all of this, so she did the only thing she could think of at the moment. She turned around and ran away from there. But while hurrying down the stairs, she tripped unfortunately and fell down.

Soon after the accident happened, Lea arrived at the hospital.

"Lea...it hurts..." Nina cried out while the pain tore her apart.

"The patient has been pregnant for nine months. We might have to do a C-section on her because of the accident," the doctor informed.

Nina shut her eyes, trying to endure the pain coursing through her. She could almost feel her bones crashing inside her and muscles wearing out. Tears streamed down her face nonstop.

"Lea, will he come?" she hopelessly questioned. She couldn't understand why she wanted to see the man at that moment. Right now, she wanted to have the father of the child she was carrying by her side.

Lea pushed the stretcher inside while responding, "Don't think of him now. Take care of yourself. Trust me, everything will be fine." Lea didn't want to set her hopes high. Because she knew that her master wouldn't come in person for this.

She couldn't do anything even though she felt sorry for Nina.

As the operation room's door closed and the light went on, Lea received a call from Jarvis.

"What happened?" Jarvis asked in a serious tone.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Ji. It was an unfortunate accident. For a few minutes, I wasn't with Miss Lin and she slipped and fell downstairs by accident." Lea could actually feel Jarvis' anger through the phone.

"How is she now?" Jarvis asked worriedly.

"She is in the operation room."

"Report to me if anything happens."

"Sure, sir."

Lea knew Jarvis was a man who didn't show his emotions. But this time, it was different. This baby would determine his future and that was why he was so nervous.

Jarvis kept frowning after hanging up the phone. Why was he even feeling restless? It was so unlikely him. He then realized, it was because of his baby growing in Nina's belly. The baby was his key pass to go back to the Ji family and be accepted.

But even though he was more worried for the baby, a tiny fraction of his heart ached for Nina.

When Nina regained her senses, her eyes went down towards her protruding belly. She panicked when she saw it was flat. Her terrified eyes shifted to Lea who was standing nearby.

"How is the baby?" Nina asked, panicked.

"Don't worry. The baby is fine."

Nina relaxed after hearing so. "Is it a boy or a girl?" She was relieved that the baby was alright.

However, Lea kept silent.

Nina wanted to know more about the baby. After all, she had nourished the baby inside her throughout the past nine months. Although the agreement had made clear that she couldn't get any information about the baby, she just wanted to know the baby's gender.

She couldn't see her baby, but at least she could know if the baby was male or female.

"Sorry, I cannot tell you."

Tears streamed down Nina's face. She now regretted the heartless deal she had made. All these months, she had grown fond of her baby even without seeing it. But now she didn't have the rights to claim her baby.

Having the baby inside her was a wonderful feeling. It was a feeling only a mother could understand.

Meanwhile, Lea felt sorry for Nina. She couldn't tell her anything about the baby. She sympathized with Nina, but she was helpless. Lea knew it was cruel to part the babies from Nina, but she had to do it.

Otherwise, Nina would miss her babies for the rest of her life.

Nina was already tired after the operation. So, she fell asleep soon.

After Nina fell asleep, Lea left her ward and called Jarvis.

"Mr. Ji."

"How is she?" Jarvis blurted out. The first thought that came in his mind was of Nina's wellbeing.

"The babies are fine, so is she."

"Okay, that's good. Please take good care of her." Jarvis hung up the phone after learning they were fine.

Jervis took a deep breath. Now, the babies were born, and the Ji family would be bound to pay him what he deserved.

At night

Nina sneaked out of the ward. She wanted to know whether her child was a boy or a girl. After all, it was her flesh and blood and she had the rights to know.

When she was walking towards the baby room, she again bumped into Gavin.

"Nina! What are you doing here? Why did you leave your ward?" Gavin was on his way to see Nina. He was a doctor in here. But even he never learned about Nina's case until he saw her with his own eyes. Her issue had been concealed nicely. He had to investigate it to know what was happening.

"I want to see my baby," Nina said. Her voice broke as she mentioned her baby. Tears welled up in her eyes.

Gavin's heart ached seeing her so helpless. Although Nina was his cousin's friend and Nina also treated him nothing more than a brother, he had fallen in love with her.

Gavin couldn't help but secretly took her to the nursery, which was filled with incubators with labels on them.

"There are only two babies who were born today. I heard that they are twins of opposite sex," Gavin informed.

Nina instantly recognized her children at a glance through the glass. Looking at the twins, Nina got emotional and finally burst into tears.

The baby girl closed her eyes and slightly opened her mouth, with one hand she tried to grab something in the air. The boy seemed to have just woken up, one of his hands slowly stretched out and grabbed the girl's hand.

"The boy is five minutes older than the girl. He is the elder brother," Gavin added.

They were her babies! She had birthed twins. Nina's heart filled with great joy seeing her babies for the first time. But she'd have to part ways from them and this thought shattered her heart into million pieces.

"Gavin, can you do me a favor?"

"What are you planning?"

"Can you help me steal my children?"

In the Ji family's house

Jarrod Ji, Abbe Song and Blaine Ji were sitting at the table, which was full of delicacies. Today was the day that Jarvis would go home for dinner. So the chef had to prepare dinner carefully. After all, he was Jarrod Ji's favored grandson now.

Jarrod Ji asked the butler, "Why hasn't Jarvis come back yet? I'm waiting for him to tell me how my great-grandson is. I won't have dinner until he comes back."

Abbe Song and Blaine Ji exchanged looks.

Jarrod Ji said this in front of the whole family. He wanted to show his love for Jarvis, and also wanted to tell everyone Jarvis' legal status in the Ji family.

It seemed that no one cared that Jarvis was an illegitimate child.
