It was pouring heavily that day ~

It's usual but annoying to get rain during the mid summer. Everyone was annoyed over the unexpected downpour.

" Why the hell is it raining now? I didn't even bring my umbrella and I have a date today. " She is telling her colleague with an unhappy facial expressions.

" Even God doesn't want you to get into a relationship it seems. It's been two years since you are trying to find a guy. " She chuckled and turned towards Hazel.

Hazel, a tan skinned lady with hot and spicy body features. She is not too beautiful but definitely an eye-catching one. She is a total asexual breed in women species with zero dating experience and very few fling moments.

" I also don't wanna search for anyone if it was not for my father. He is nagging me all day. He wants to accomplish his duty as soon as possible, it seems, take..... Annoying." She poured and was looking at the glass window.

" Let it be, let it be... let it be known. Don't move, stay there. " A song started to play.

" Attend the call. Probably your cancellation of the date. " Her friend and colleague zanat.

"Kylian? " She mumbled.

" Aish... what a surprise. Why is this already taken husband material calling you? "She asked while tugging her inside the narrow path and was looking at her phone display.

" Zana... . Move. It might be an important call. He usually doesn't even text me unless it is very demanding... " Gave a weird look over her face and gulped.

" Excuse me... I will be back. " She bowed a little and walked outside.

" She is no fun. Aish... .. " The girl with black coat and grey hair, named zanat take her bag to cover her head and ran towards her car in the open parking area. She took a look at Hazel and left the company .

The rain was still heavy and the road was covered with rain water, traffic and cops. The atmosphere is not pleasing.

" Hello? " She attended the call and started to listen.

" I wanna meet you. It's about Rachel and please choose the time as close as possible. It's urgent. " His voice cracked two times in between his two three continuous sentences. It was so unlike him.

" Let's meet at our usual place. Should I call... " She tried to ask something but.

" No... I will send you my neighbourhood address. Let's meet at the park opposite my flat. " He told her while loosening up his vocal. Something struck his voice and made it look pathetic.

" What's that? Did the return of Lucifer affect their relationship or something? What's going on? " She was mumbling.

She got another call... .

"Who is that again? Oh fuçk! My date. " She was worried and attended the call.

" Is this Hazel? " A mild gentle voice asked her.

" Well hello Mr Steve. I am very... " She tried to say something but he interrupted.

" Ms Hazel. That's why I called you to inform you. It's raining and I don't want our first meeting to start with annoying summer rain with my wet outfits. So I will wait for your next appointment. So please don't make me wait for too long. " He told her with a little disappointed tone.

She was too stunned by his words. Maybe it was not just a word but a genuine concern. That really surprised her.

" Thanks for your understanding Mr Steve. I also accidentally got one emergency in my friend circle. Really thanks for understanding. I will surely buy you a cosy dinner next time. " She agreed and put her phone inside her bag. She took a cab and reached the spot.

" Bruh... it's raining. Did he just want me to stand in the rain? 😒 if it was Rachel he will turn the world upside down. " She was mumbling and coming inside the park. Thankfully she got one small umbrella on her way here.

She saw someone waving his hand. " It must be him right? I don't wanna meet him at all. Aish... " She sighed and walked towards him.

" Sorry for asking you to meet me here in the rain. I can't think properly. No... . I mean I was feeling down. So I can't... I can't really call my other friends. They are all... kinda busy. " He was Babbling Nonsense

( " What? I am also busy and we are not that close to meet when you are feeling down. Just call your girlfriend. " ) she was thinking like that but

"Why ? What happened? Where is Rachel? " She asked him without much emotion.

" Didn't she tell you? " He asked her with a question mark face.

"What exactly? " Hazel asked him without any interest.

" She told me that she is going to New York for her work purpose. I thought you knew about it. " He told her while looking at her face deeply.

"Oh is that so? We are not in contact with each other like before. " She told her while getting her information from him.

" She often talks about you though. " He told her while leaning behind the chair he was sitting inside the shelter. Giving a weird smirk. It was annoying to the person opposite to him, coming and talking with him.

" You and your weird complaints. Did Rachel again talk about her previous relationship and you got angry and asked me to come here , so you can insult me? That's so childish of you. Aren't you happy that I took Aiden away so you are dating your lovely Rachel? Why are you even insulting me again and again for the past two years? If it's not about Rachel. Please don't call me again. I will block you. I thought it was a serious issue hearing your cracked voice. I am just an idiot. " She said while opening her umbrella back. She looked Clearly annoyed.

" Then why are you not dating him? " He asked while looking away . He didn't even take a look at her face.

" That's none of your business. " She said while trying to walk out.

He dragged her in and made her stay inside.

"You can't find any cab now. So stay here let's have a chat about things which are mysterious about you in my brain. " He told her while showing her the empty road.

She looked at the empty road, pouring heavy rain, and him at last with a disappointed face.

" It's so much better for me to walk back to my home than staying back, discussing topics with a rude person like you. If you don't know the event core. Just don't talk. Okay? " She was hella angry this time and also oddly Mr Kylian noticed and realised it.

"Okay okay chill. Shall we chat about Rachel? " He tries to distract her.

" What about Rachel? Is she doing well? " She got her attention towards her and looked at his face to see whether he was trying to trap her in lies and he was really concerned about Ray.

Yes... This is how he is. He is a cunning, rude and judgemental person you have ever met. No I have ever met in my entire life. Still... He is a loyal guy you can't find anywhere in this world. He can throw everyone out of his world, just to make his girlfriend feel secure. But as for me, an unknown long distant friend of his girlfriend Rachel, all he do is pestering my past and rumors. Tsk.... Leave it! Let's go back to the story my bud :)

" She is doing great of course. What about you? Doing good? " He asked her while asking her to sit beside him. She gave an annoying look and sat opposite to him.

" Oh man... it's raining, I can't hear you properly. Don't worry! I won't eat you alive. " While saying that he went and sat in her chair with two three metre distance.

" What do you wanna know? Just ask directly. It's annoying to hear you beating around the bushes. " She said while taking out her phone to see the time.

Kylian noticed her actions and he smiled. She found it oddly interesting.

" So... share with me something about Rachel. I wanna know. " He asked her again.

" You can ask her directly if you want to know. If she wants you to know, she will surely share. I don't have any say in this. " She said firmly.

( " It's very hard to crack this stone, it seems. I shouldn't have called her. She and Rachel don't even look close to each other either. But why? Why is Rachel still being around her even after losing her previous boyfriend because of this mysterious lady? ") She was thinking while staring at her.

" Did Ray know about our meeting? " She asked him and looked at him for his response.

"Do I have to inform her? " He asked her with a smile.

She made an obnoxious look over her face and turned around.

( "men after all. They all are the same. Tsk, why am I getting in the same type of mess again and again? ") She was angry with herself.

"hermano.... What's wrong with you? " She asked him. Deep down she was cursing the rain to stop immediately.

" Haha that's so cunning of you to call me brother. " He chuckled and turned towards her completely.

" Excuse me? " She frowned and looked at him.

" By calling me brother, you are drawing the line? Hahahahaha..... But we are not siblings, I don't adopt random stray cats as they wish. " He told her with his sharpest tongue.

" You are really weird. You need to visit the psychiatric hospital soon. Am going. Never ever call me again. Unless of an emergency involving Rachel. Bye ".... " No it's goodbye! " She told him and walked out . The rain stopped completely. She was very fast even though she had short legs.

" She and her angry penguin walk. Playing smart to escape from the rumours ehm. My plan is to bait Rachel using your thoughts. So I won't allow you to destroy my plan. " He told her

He stood up and looked at his phone. Multiple notifications from his workplace. He got annoyed. He got back to his home, washed his face and looked at the mirror.

" Why? I mean why exactly? I look good enough right? I have been popular since high school. But why suddenly everyone lost interest in me. Even a girl who seduced another lady's boyfriend gave me an obnoxious look." Kylian looked at face and the picture frame below the mirror. He took the frame in his hand and gave a frustrated look. He opened the drawer and placed the photo frame of him and his girlfriend Rachel inside the locker.

" Sigh... ... ... . " He went inside the bathroom to take a peaceful bath and dry his hair. He came out just flop on his bed with his towel on.

Meanwhile ~

" Dad mom... am back! " She told them while sitting on the couch all wet.

" Why are you all wet? He didn't even give you a ride back? " His dad asked her with concern.

" No... we didn't meet at all dad. I got up and ruined my clothes and he was so understanding and he himself asked to postpone the meeting date. " She told him with a painful smile.

" Are you alright? " He asked her while getting her a towel.

" Yes... I am. " She told while losing her hair band

" Why are you like this honey?! " Her mother came from the room and started to dry her hair.

"First let's have dinner okay? She needs to rest. " Her father told them. They all had their dinner and went to sleep early.

Hazel came back to her room. She sat on her bed and covered herself with a blanket.

" Why did I even pick up his calls? Why? " She asked herself. " Whenever I meet him , it's annoying and it makes my whole mood annoyed. He is a good guy but only for Rachel. Yes. I went there because Rachel's boyfriend was in some situations. So shit happens. Next time avoid. Avoid him. " She told herself and fell asleep within a few minutes.

Few days went by peacefully...

" Darling... someone is waiting for you outside the lobby. " A middle aged guy with a coat said loudly. Everyone turned and looked at him.

" It's for Hazel. Others can go back to work. " He said.

"For me? Who? " She asked him but he shrugged his shoulders and left inside.

" Something is fi#syyyyyyyyy" Zanat came towards her and asked her.

Maybe some acquaintances . Let me pay a quick visit. " She went there without thinking much.

"Yes... who is that? " She was walking behind the couches. When she came in front.

"You?! " She asked with a shocking tone.

"Yes... me... who else were you expecting? " He asked with a rude face.

" Kylian... this is my office. It may trigger some weird rumours and it will affect your relationship and my reputation too. " She told him while looking around.

" There is nothing going to affect my relationship... " He started to say something but she took his word as narcissistic.

"Haha....too much confidence. Whatever, I am not that confident about myself. So don't come and meet me as you wish. " She told him again with an expressionless face.

"Then you should have answered my texts. I won't bother to come here to meet at all. " He told her with a plain face.

"You texted me? Why? " She asked while opening her phone checking his messages.

"So you muted me and now you are getting notifications. Good job. " He showed her a thumbs up.

" How many messages? Are you sick ? If someone ignores your text don't just text them more. They are avoiding you clearly. Take the hint. Will you? " She told him while looking through all his messages.

"What the fuçk!!! You guys broke up? When? Why? What happened? " She asked him in a row without even blinking or thinking about the environment.

He chuckled and looked at her with a smile.

"Why are you laughing? " She asked him

Yes! Whenever I am with him, I lose myself and make myself look weird. He can handle me easily but I can't handle myself good in front of him. Imagine if someone came into your life without your permission, get charge over you moods and stuff. Make impact on your heart and make you fall for them hard.... But they can't cherish you as you do.... No I should stop complaining and tell you guys my story.

" Hazel..... Calm down. Now you are not worried about your reputation? It's me who went through a break up. Why are u reacting like that? " He asked her. Meanwhile his coffee came to his table and her tea with bun came too.

" I didn't order anything though? " She said while looking around.

" It's me who ordered it for you. So just dig in. " He told her while already drinking his caramel latte.

" Thanks then. So tell me. Why did you dump Rachel? Bruh why dump her and regret it later? " She smirked and looked at him pathetically.

" Are you a fool? She dumped me . I don't even know the reason. She told me that I am controlling him and getting too much in her way. " He said that and was looking at her reaction while enjoying his sweet coffee.

"What? " Hazel was too shocked to realise his words and she was just gathering her old thoughts.

" Are you for real? You got dumped? That's unbelievable. Why, though? You dominated her? But from a third person's view it was alright though. Did you abuse her?! " She asked him with a firm terror expression.

" This idiot. " He chuckled.

" Do you know how the hell I like her? I have sacrificed enough . I wanna know why! " He asked her .

" Then go ask her. Why are you asking me? You still think we are close?! " She asked him with an irritating look.

"First unmute me. Be a human being. How can you treat a broke guy like that? " He asked her with an innocent face.

" Oh well. I was angry that day because you bought up Aiden. Wait... so u called me because you guys broke up that day and you want to ask me the reason? " She realised the chain of events suddenly.

"Oh yeah. You got some brain , luckily... " He told her while cleaning his mouth with the tissue.

" Dude. How do I know what's going on between you two?!" She asked him while looking at him annoyedly

" So what do you want now? " She came to the point straight away.

" Unmute me. I need someone to talk about things when I am sad. " He told her.

"Look for someone else. I am too busy. I am not that good at doing free services. " She told him without even thinking about it for a second.

" At least reply to my message... will you? " He asked her with a super dull voice.

" Haa.... I am unmuting you. Just because you have studied in my university along with me for the past three years. Don't even think about taking your rudeness and anger towards me. Never. " She told him while getting up.

" When was I rude to you? " He mumbled inside his mouth.

She took a pause and looked at him with a disgusting look and went inside.

" Am I not better than Aiden? Why am I getting cold looks everywhere I go between these two friends. Rachel I will surely find out what's going on. It's okay that you can leave me or break up with me. But you owe me a reason, " he said while looking outside.

"So why is that hottie here again? Don't tell me, he finally realised who is the best one from the administration department. " Zanat asked her when Hazel entered the lift.

" What are you doing here? You saw everything already. Why are you even asking? He broke up with her and wanted to know the reason. " She gave an eye roll and got inside the lift.

" What a loser. To be honest, they dated more than the expected period. He should be happy about that. " Zanat told her while looking at her face.

" Zanat... Rachel is my friend. Don't talk like that. She is a good soul." She warned her and Pat her shoulder.

" Yes indeed, a good friend, who started a weird rumour. '' She told her while pouting her lips.

" It's not her though. It's my fault that I didn't make clear boundaries in my friendship. I learnt my lesson. Let's stop here. Wanna have a coffee? " She asked her when they reached their floor.

They both had random chats and a lot of gossip. After a long day, Hazel came back to her home. Had her dinner peacefully and went to her bed.

" It's been a long dayyyy... " Her phone started to ring.

" What's wrong with you Kylian? " She shouted through the phone.

" Oh man... chill out. I got blood through my ears. Behave like a girl. " He told her while chuckling himself.

" Why did you call me now? " She asked him in a more calm way.

" Just to hear your voice. " He told her

" Shut your fuçking mouth. " She shouted again.

He laughed deeply and got tears in his eyes. He is genuinely laughing hard after a long time.

" Do you know something Hazel? You are really something. Thanks for attending my call now. I am okay for now I guess. Sleep early. Good night. " He told her that and cut the call. He didn't even wait for her response.

" This freak... What's wrong with him? Did he finally lose his brain completely after Rachel dumped him. Psychopath!!! " She mumbled and threw her phone aside.

Meanwhile~

" Dude why are you laughing? I am here to cheer you up on your breakup but it seems like you are already cheering up yourself! " His friend told her.

" Dude... shut up. She is my ex girlfriend's best friend. I. Just call to annoy her on behalf of Rachel. Nothing other than that.

" Huu? I don't see it like you did out of anger though. " He told him with a suspicious face,

But Kylian got up and went inside his bedroom without even replying to him anything.

"Bruh you are acting suspicious. I am telling you, don't do anything to regret it later like you did in Rachel's story. " He told him. Kylian did reply or respond to anything but went to sleep.

"How can he even sleep after breaking up with her? He did his best in that relationship. Rachel really did miss a chance to be with the best guy like him I guess. " He mumbled inside his mouth.
