Love Temptation: Let Me Be Your Slave

Author: : Marne Golzio
Genre: Modern
The boldest thing Angela had ever done in her life was to secretly conceive Jeremy's child despite knowing that she was just a plaything. Jeremy was a vicious man. She knew he would rage if he found out about the pregnancy. To gain freedom, she intentionally annoyed him until he couldn't take it anymore. As soon as he "dumped" her, she ran away for her baby's safety. It wasn't long before Jeremy smelled something fishy. He tracked her down and brought her back. Angela was scared and also tired of him. After all her tricks to make him release her failed, she yelled, "Can't you just leave me alone? I don't want to serve you anymore!" A warm glint leaped into Jeremy's eyes as he looked at the baby in her arms. "Who said anything about you serving me? Since you have been good to me in the past, I'd like to do the same. What do you say to me serving you and our baby from now on?" Angela could hardly believe her ears.

Chapter 1 She Had A Big Secret

The day brightened, and the intimate atmosphere in the bedroom slowly dissipated.

After sweeping his gaze past the woman's smooth back, the man got up and went into the bathroom directly.

He took a shower, changed into a silver suit and walked out expressionlessly.

At this moment, his cold behavior was nowhere near that of the lustful man who had spent the night with her yesterday.

Well, he didn't show much enthusiasm on his face too when he was in bed with her last night.

The moment the man got up, Angela Wallace opened her eyes. She had just been pretending to be asleep.

Her throat was dry.

It was not until the man was about to step out of the door that she said in a low voice, "Goodbye, Mr. Carson."

She didn't know if he heard her. He merely stopped for a split second before going downstairs without saying anything.

Looking at his cold attitude, Angela sighed.

Four years ago, she worked as an intern in the Carson Group.

On her first day of work, she accompanied her boss Jeremy Carson to a business dinner. Jeremy happened to be drugged, and they had sex right that night.

And then many other nights during the past four years.

No one knew the relationship between them, though. It had been kept hidden until today.

Although Jeremy didn't say a word, Angela knew that they might not have a chance to see each other again.

She quickly got out of bed, packed her things, and went downstairs. As expected, Jeremy's special assistant, Blaine Martel, was sitting on the couch in the living room.

With a laptop on his lap, Blaine sat upright while typing quickly. He had a pair of gold-rimmed glasses on, and he looked serious.

Hearing the noise, Blaine pushed his specs to the bridge of his nose as he turned around.

When he saw the suitcase Angela was holding, his gaze darkened. But he quickly concealed the surprise in his eyes.

They had worked together for many years and cooperated well at work.

Angela greeted Blaine naturally and sat opposite him.

Only then did Blaine move the laptop away and hand Angela the prepared document. Clearing his throat, he said, "Miss Wallace, this is for you from Mr. Carson."

Angela took it over and lowered her eyes to glance at it. She remained silent for a long time.

Her lashes trembled.

Blaine thought she was sad, so he said in a low voice, "Miss Wallace, if you need anything else, you can tell us. As long as it doesn't go too far, Mr. Carson will definitely agree to it out of consideration for the relationship between you and him."

Relationship?

In Jeremy's eyes, she was nothing but a tool to satisfy his sexual lust.

People would only feel nostalgic for tools, at most; and it would only be because it worked well. Tools still had to be thrown away when their time was up.

Hence, the connection between her and Jeremy wasn't a serious relationship at all.

Regaining her composure, Angela said with a vague smile, "Mr. Carson is really generous."

Her tone was a little indifferent, which made Blaine tut in his heart.

Angela was calm. It was as if she had already expected Jeremy would leave her.

She had been with him for four years, and now they were parting ways. He had given her three houses, including the villa she was in now, cash, and some other things. The total value of everything was about one hundred million dollars, at least.

That didn't include what she had received over the years. Even if she was no longer with him, this amount of money was enough to support her for the rest of her life.

As expected, Angela was a tough one. Even Blaine was green-eyed when he saw what Jeremy had given her.

If it had been an ordinary woman, she would've been on cloud nine when she received the sky-high "alimony" from Jeremy. But Angela was different. Instead of being joyful, she secretly ridiculed Jeremy.

Angela signed the document without hesitation.

Then she took out the resignation letter she had prepared from her bag and handed it to Blaine. She said politely, "Please give this to Mr. Carson for me, Mr. Martel."

Judging from Angela's identity, it was normal for her to resign from the Carson Group after leaving Jeremy.

"I will, Miss Wallace," he said.

Hearing that, Angela smiled gently. "I'm not his secretary anymore. You can just call me Angela from now on."

Soon, Blaine stood up and left.

Looking at his back, Angela raised her hand and gently stroked her flat belly.

Even if Jeremy didn't grow sick of her, she had to find a way to leave him.

After all, she had a big secret that she kept from him.

Chapter 2 Make Him Leave Her

Blaine packed the documents and returned to the car.

Jeremy was sitting on the back seat with his eyes closed. His face looked grim with no trace of joy.

Hearing the movement, he opened his eyes and glanced coldly at Blaine.

The latter immediately understood what Jeremy meant and reported, "I spoke to Angela."

Jeremy arched an eyebrow and shot an accusative look at him for addressing Angela by her first name. "Angela?"

Blaine cleared his throat and handed her resignation letter to Jeremy. "This is Miss Wallace's registration letter."

Jeremy opened it and looked at Angela's neat handwriting. The letter was penned with precision and was formal. However, its content seemed formulaic. The corners of his mouth curved into a sarcastic smile.

Moments of silence elapsed in the car before Jeremy asked, "How did she react?"

Blaine didn't dare to lie. However, Angela's reaction was in contrast with Jeremy's expectations. Therefore, he said, "Of course, she has no choice but to accept your arrangement. Miss Wallace has always been smart. She even praised you for your generosity."

Jeremy fell silent.

Blaine studied his boss' face and realized he was in a bad mood.

The next moment, Jeremy crumpled Angela's resignation letter into a ball and threw it into the small trash can in the car.

He closed his eyes again and let out a weary sigh. "Let's go!"

Blaine had been working in Carson Group for a long time -- longer than Angela.

He was right next to Jeremy and Angela when the two met for the first time. Back then, he felt Jeremy treated Angela the same way he treated others.

However, he had been terribly wrong. The next thing he knew, Jeremy had already had sex with Angela.

Everyone assumed it was just a one-time thing and he wasn't serious about her. But the result was beyond people's expectations.

Jeremy had always been a heartless man, especially when it came to relationships. However, he surprisingly had Angela by his side for four whole years.

Jeremy had spent almost every night with Angela.

Even Blaine wondered if Angela would ultimately get married to the Carson family. However, to his surprise, he then suddenly received an order from Jeremy, asking him to get rid of Angela.

The words made it seem like he was discarding an old rag away.

Angela didn't stay in the villa for long.

It was almost time for her doctor's appointment by the time she dealt with her issues. She put her suitcase into the trunk and drove to the hospital.

Her best friend, Janiya Moore, was a gynecologist in a hospital downtown.

Angela arrived at the hospital and went straight to Janiya's office.

Janiya's plump face looked tense the whole time she performed the test on Angela. She looked at the reports and finally blew out a sigh of relief. "Don't worry. My godson is very healthy."

At first, Angela had been a little nervous. But her face broke into a smile when she heard that. "What makes you think it is not your goddaughter? I like girls."

"Well, having a goddaughter would make me equally happy." Janiya smiled and handed the examination report to Angela.

Angela was interested in studying medicine. She had read several medical books, and, therefore, could understand what the report said.

If it weren't for the fact that her family struggled to make ends meet and it took too long for a medical graduate to earn a stable income, Angela would have become a doctor like Janiya.

"Although the child is strong and healthy, you still have to be careful," Janiya reminded her. "Violent lovemaking can harm the baby."

Angela's gaze stilled on the report; her smile faded. "Don't worry. It won't happen again. Jeremy is tired of me. He gave me a large sum of money as compensation. I'm a free bird from now."

Janiya's eyes widened. She opened and closed her mouth, not knowing what to say. Finally, she leaned closer to Angela and whispered, "How much did he give you?"

Her friend's adorable reaction amused Angela. She chuckled and pinched Janiya's plump cheek. "Don't worry. I can support you even if you quit work and stay idle all your life."

A wave of happiness consumed Janiya. She squealed in disbelief, "I just made a wish to the stars a few days ago that my best friend becomes rich and supports me. I can't believe it has come true too soon."

Janiya's smile was infectious. Angela couldn't help but smile in return.

She had been pregnant for about five weeks.

Not even in her wildest dream did Angela think she would get pregnant before marriage. But it just happened.

When Angela was a child, she had fallen into the water and suffered severe injuries. And because of that, doctors said it might become extremely difficult for her to get pregnant.

If Angela lost this baby, she might not have another chance to conceive again in the future.

Angela had wondered if Jeremy had feelings for her, considering he had been frequently visiting her lately.

But soon she understood that Jeremy had simply gotten tired of her.

He just wanted to use her fully before discarding her.

Besides, Angela knew Jeremy would never allow her to give birth to his child.

Even if Jeremy hadn't gotten tired of her, she would have somehow found a way to make him leave her.

Chapter 3 Jeremy Is Drunk

Angela had already devised a plan.

She sold all the real estate properties and possessions Jeremy had given her during the past few years.

Once everything was settled, she would take her money back to her hometown and wait to give birth to her child.

She would never come back here again.

When she bid goodbye in the morning, she meant goodbye forever.

Blibury was Jeremy's territory. Even if she left Carson Group, he would eventually find out that she had secretly given birth to his child if she stayed.

Angela was sure the Carson family would get rid of her after taking away her child.

Therefore, she could no longer stay in the city.

Angela decided to stay in the hotel until she left for her hometown.

She didn't rest well the previous night. Therefore, she immediately went to sleep as soon as she entered her hotel room.

Angela awoke to the blaring of her phone that night.

She answered the call without looking at the caller ID. The resonant voice of a man startled her.

"Mr. Martel?" Angela asked in confusion.

Blaine was embarrassed.

After all, Jeremy had just asked her to leave in the morning and now his assistant was calling her again?

Even Blaine couldn't figure out what was going on in Jeremy's mind.

Although Jeremy was a capricious man, he had never been this way when it came to women.

But he was drunk now. His eyes were shut tight; his brows knit together as he impatiently tugged at his tie.

Blaine knew Jeremy wasn't completely drunk and that was why he was making a fuss about everything.

Just then, Jeremy heard Blaine call Angela but didn't stop him, which meant he didn't mind it.

Blaine bit the bullet and said, "Miss Wallace, Mr. Carson is drunk. Can you please come to the same place to pick him up?"

Angela immediately understood Jeremy wanted her to pick him up.

Her lips curled up into a sneer.

He had dumped her through his assistant and didn't even have the decency to do it in person. And he was acting like none of that happened?

Angela rarely lost her temper. However, she was now annoyed and determined not to see him.

She lay lazily on her bed and said, "Mr. Martel, you've called the wrong person. I have resigned. Many other skillful secretaries are available in the company. You can contact them."

With that, she hung up the phone.

Blaine flinched back when he heard the busy tone and turned to look at Jeremy.

Meantime, Jeremy opened his eyes. His deep gaze was fixed on the mobile phone.

He heard the beeping from where he was sitting.

Angela had never lost her temper ever since she joined the Carson Group.

Angela was smart and capable. She could not only always figure out what Jeremy would think in advance but also obediently did whatever he told her to do. She even cooperated with his little wicked whims in bed.

Angela was inexpressive. She reacted to everything with a straight face like a robot. Jeremy had grown used to that side of her. It was a bit surprising to see her hang up Blaine's call.

Jeremy's face darkened. "She has become bold now!"

"Shall I call someone else?" asked Blaine.

Jeremy looked at him impatiently.

Blaine immediately understood what he meant.

All the staff in the Secretary Department of Carson Group were known for their outstanding working ability and stunning looks.

Many outsiders regarded the secretary department as Jeremy's harem because of his relationship with Angela.

But the truth was Jeremy had never been with any other woman except for Angela.

Meantime, after hanging up Blaine's call, Angela thought for a while and took out her phone again.

She called another chief secretary Gwenda Boyd, who lived nearby and asked her to look after Jeremy.

Gwenda had always helped Angela over the years when she worked for the Carson Group.

Since they were colleagues, the two couldn't be good friends in private. However, Angela wouldn't mind doing her this little favor now that she was gone.

Gwenda understood what Angela meant, so she dressed in a bright costume and happily went to see Jeremy.

She was nearby and therefore arrived in a few minutes. She checked the room number Angela had given her and knocked on the door.

Blaine opened the door and was a little surprised to see her. However, Gwenda didn't look at him. Her gaze was focused solely on Jeremy.

The room was dimly lit, and Jeremy's face was barely visible. However, his angular side profile was enough to make any woman swoon.

His shirt was unbuttoned, and the tie was loose, revealing his collarbone. Jeremy looked handsome and charming in the dim light.

Gwenda gulped and walked up to Jeremy. "Mr. Carson, Miss Wallace said you were drunk and asked me to drop you home."

Jeremy's jaw tightened. He looked at her coldly. "Did Miss Wallace ask you to come here?"
