Love Fools Me Around

Tina Lian was standing in front of the presidential suite, looking tensed than ever.

Her mind darted to the thought of Jason Lian in the hospital. If she didn't get into the suite, she wouldn't get the money and her beloved brother would die.

Although she had a lot of hesitation, she took a deep breath after a while and opened the door.

The interior was dark. Light came through the hallway.

She still couldn't believe how in the world a mother could be so heartless to sacrifice her daughter to save her son and family.

"Miss Lian, please come in!" After signing the contract, Nathan Qiao, the assistant to the president of the Xiang Group, was waiting for Tina Lian in the suite.

Tina Lian observed the assistant carefully, who was operating the phone in his hand. Maybe he was transferring the money to her mother's account since she was already here. He gave her a quick glance before sending a text to the CEO to report the situation.

"Is it you?" Tina Lian knew she shouldn't have asked that, but she couldn't help it.

It took her a lot of courage to take this step and come here. If she didn't even know who the man she was going to sleep with was, it would be worse than death for her.

"No." There was no need to explain anything to her. So, he reached for her hand, grabbed it and pulled her further into the suite.

He might look slim, but his strength was not by any means little. Leaving her confused and flabbergasted, he walked out of the suite and closed the door behind him. All of it happened so quickly that she barely got any time to react.

The door closed with a soft thud and locked itself. A moment later when she came back to senses, Tina Lian quickly went to the door and tried to open it, but to no avail. She couldn't believe that he had locked her in the dark room.

"Why did you lock me here? Hello? Anyone listening to me?" It didn't matter if the CEO was rich and powerful, he just couldn't do this to her. She couldn't do this anymore.

But there was no answer from the other side. All she heard was a terrible silence surrounding her. She slammed on the door frame countless of times, but it was useless.

"Bastard! Don't leave!" As the room was already dark, the minimum light that was coming through the hallway was blocked once the door got closed.

"Since you're here now, why don't you just sit quietly, take your time and think about tonight?" Nathan Qiao muttered to himself not caring what she said. Then he disappeared from the spot with a satisfied smile on his face.

He had been searching for a girl who his boss might be interested in. It had been a long time now.

Although he didn't know if his boss would like Tina Lian, he had to take the shot.

Without a room card, she couldn't go out of the room, and there was no other password to crack it.

After a while, she got tired of banging on the door numerous time.

She collapsed on the floor, pulling her knees closer to her chest and leaned on the door hopelessly as a whimper left her. "Jason, your sister is useless." She just wanted to escape from here, but she couldn't.

Meanwhile, Eric Xiang, the CEO of the Xiang Group, had been drinking in the club till eleven o'clock.

He was still sober even after drinking so much.

After having another round of drinks, his bodyguards escorted him to the elevator. They reached the presidential suite and Eric Xiang motioned for the bodyguards to open the door. A bodyguard took out the card and swiped it before Eric Xiang stepped forward and pushed the door. But it didn't open.

He frowned at first, then realized the reason and sneered.

With a stronger force, he pushed the door. A loud noise of something falling on the floor came.

"Mr. Xiang!" The bodyguards wanted to go inside and to have a look.

But Eric Xiang waved a dismissive hand gesture, trying to convey that the situation was in his control. They need not go and see.

Eric Xiang understood that there was no other person in the suite but a stupid woman.

The bodyguards took the hint and took a few steps back. They just stood at the door, guarding the suite.

They knew that the consequences wouldn't be good if they dared to break Eric Xiang's rules.

"Who are you?" It was not until Tina Lian woke up from her sleep that she realized she was being carried by someone. The person didn't respond.

Before she could ask anything again, the person threw her on the bed. She fell on the bed with a loud thump.

Eric Xiang pulled on to his tie impatiently and irritably. She was not heavy, but she was stupid!

The effect of alcohol started kicking in and he felt hot. It made him a little palpitating. He needed to vent the heat radiating from his body immediately.

Watching his absurd actions, Tina Lian, who was half-lying on the bed, frowned severely. "Ahh!" Now, she was completely awakened by this strange man's presence.

So, this was the man she was meant to sleep with? He leaned forward towards her ear as his warm breath fell on her bare neck. She could distinctly smell the scent of strong alcohol from him. This compromising gesture made her tremble visibly.

"Woman, do you like this?"

Eric Xiang was both slightly annoyed and amused at her stupidity. How could she fall asleep at the door? Was that one of her stupid habits? He was amused that he could accept a stupid woman like her. It was a rare case that he liked her.

Eric Xiang wasn't even horny but he wanted to play with her some more.

"No, no! I...I haven't taken a shower!" Tina Lian stammered and tried to cover herself more modestly by pulling on the old T-shirt she was wearing.

Tonight, he was in a good mood, but didn't mean his physical needs weren't there. It became too obvious as he clutched onto her worn out T-shirt and ripped it away from her skin.

She screamed, "No!" Tina Lian felt flustered and angry that she couldn't struggle against the strong man who was now behind her.

His sharp black eyes shone in the darkness. She was indeed different from all the women who took the initiative before.

"Please,

don't do this to me. I'll pay you back, I promise! Let me go!" Tina Lian now felt threatened and at this man's mercy. She would rather borrow a loan than face this man.

However, He was having none of it.

"It's too late!" Eric Xiang muttered. His patience was running out.

Around five o'clock in the morning, the door of the presidential suite opened and Eric came out. "Mr. Xiang!" The bodyguards outside stood alerted immediately.

"Ask them to clean up the suite," Eric ordered them with no hesitation, unfazed of the situation.

Dressed in a clean dark blue suit, he looked like a gorgeous model with his jaw-dropping physique.

"Yes, sir!" His bodyguards quickly obliged his order. Fred Xiang followed Eric whereas George Xiang went to the floor service counter to borrow a housekeeping.

Inside the suite's bedroom, the sunshine peeked through the window and fell straight on the bed. The warmth wake Tina up from her dream.

She groggily sat up and eyed around the room but found none. What happened last night? Her eyes went wide. Money! Jason!

Tina hastily removed the quilt that was covering her and got out of the bed. As soon as her feet touched the floor, her legs felt like jelly. They trembled causing her to fall on the floor.

The room was still dark, and since her phone had run out of power last night, she couldn't even turn on the phone's flash. She couldn't see anything in the room clearly.

She somehow caught a hold of the edge of the bed and struggled to stand up. Her eyes shifted to the slit of the window curtains, through which the sunlight was slipping into the room.

Her eyes did a quick scrutiny of the room and found a wardrobe at one corner. Without thinking much, she dashed towards it, hoping to find clothes to wear, as her own were torn. She put the clothes on before walking out the suite and going to the hospital.

After reaching the hospital, she found that Jason had a successful operation and had already left the hospital.

The hospital bills had already been paid. She didn't know where her family were as she couldn't contact them. Even, she was running out of money.

Although her whole body was wearing out, she dragged herself to go to the Lian family house and Lian Group. But unfortunately, people who were in charge in there had changed and she was abandoned overnight.

This made her desperate. How could they do this to her? She lost her virginity to save her brother and got abandoned by her family. Was there anything more miserable in the world than her situation right now?

She wanted to cry. But as soon as tears rolled down her face, her mind raced towards the stranger from last night. She needed to find him before she continued to be crestfallen.

She wiped off her tears and went to a hotel. If she would have to take the decision of killing herself, she'd die with her mind clear.

However, she couldn't find the man, no matter how desperately she tried.

Eventually, Tina had to leave Z City with sadness and unwillingness. She even had to borrow money to buy the air ticket.

Nonetheless, she couldn't end her life. It would have made her too weak for her liking. So, she chose the next possible option that she save her from a dejected lifestyle. She left her old life completely and stayed away from everything she was familiar with in past.

Five years later At the passenger exit of T City Airport

A car sped by. As the car window was open, many people saw the driver's handsome face.

"He's so handsome! I think I'm in love with him!" exclaimed Amy Chen.

Outside the airport, there were many women who acted like Amy Chen and ready to throw themselves in his arms. Amy Chen was Alice Qin's assistant.

Tina had changed her named to Alice Qin after leaving her old life. She became an internationally renowned painter with her hard work.

Alice Qin smiled. She didn't see the man or have any interest in him. She was in a completely different mood now.

She was holding her four-year-old daughter, Elsa Qin. The toddler smiled at Amy's dramatic expression.

"Mommy!" With a shy look on her face, Elsa Qin held her mother's leg.

Elsa Qin had always brought positive energy in Alice Qin's life. She was full of goodness and happiness. Amy Chen stuck out her tongue playfully at the toddler.

"Baby, do you like this place?" Holding her daughter's hand, Alice Qin found strength from her.

She swore in her mind that she would pay back all the grievances she had suffered in her previous life. Even if it was her family, she would not be softhearted and forgive them.

"Mommy, don't worry. Elsa is with you!" Elsa Qin might be less than five year old, but she was smarter than her peers.

Noticing the sadness in her mom's eyes, she wanted to comfort her.

"Mommy is fine!" Her baby always tried to save her energy whenever she felt down, and Alice Qin was proud of her.

Elsa Qin beamed at her mother and raised her hands. She wanted to be lifted up.

"Okay! Mommy!" Alice Qin squatted down and picked up her daughter. The only happiest thing in the past few years was that Elsa Qin was with her.

Alice Qin was determined that, for Elsa and herself, she would take her revenge on the Lian family and find out Elsa's biological father.

The once coward Tina Lian had died long ago. The person who came back was Alice Qin.

"Mommy, are we really going to live with Uncle Yates?" Elsa seemed not to like the place as she was unfamiliar with it.

Her daughter's words brought Alice Qin back from her thoughts.

"Mommy knows you don't like it here, so we won't live there!" After answering Elsa, Alice Qin mentioned the same to Amy Chen.

"Mommy!" Elsa Qin had already told Alice Qin that she didn't like Yates Feng, and her mother should know that.

Elsa Qin had always been sensitive and straightforward. And Alice Qin also didn't like it if Elsa Qin had taken a disliking towards it.

"I think Elsa is afraid of the possibility that someone will take you away from her, Alice!" Amy Chen teased with a smile. Elsa Qin was indeed a smart child.

She had already explained the situation to Yates Feng, and they didn't ride in the car sent by him.

Yates Feng was a CEO and a member of the famous Feng family in T City.

"Amy, you are so annoying!" Staying in her mother's arms, Elsa looked around the place with her big curious eyes.

Most children in Paris had blonde hair with blue eyes. But here, the children were with black hair and brown eyes just like her. Elsa looked around the airport and noticed how the children were with both of their parents. They all looked happy. She also wanted to have a father.

But when she realized she didn't even know her father, her eyes got filled with disappointment. She knew it very well that she couldn't mention it in front of her mother. She didn't want to make her mother sad.

Alice shuffled her daughter's hair softly and gave Amy an apologetic look.

However, Amy didn't mind the toddler's words. She playfully stuck out her tongue at Elsa, and said, "Alice, I've made it clear to Mr. Feng!"

Amy had to go back to her home, but she didn't want to leave Alice and Elsa.

"Z City is next to T City." If something happened and Alice needed Amy help, the latter could easily reach her.

As the adults were talking about business, Alice missed noticing her daughter's expression.

"Okay." Amy was reluctant in leaving them alone though she knew she had to.

"Just go!" Alice had a heavy heart when they came back in T City. Although she had a lot of things to do, taking care of her daughter was the most important.

Alice had thought about what Amy had said about Yates. Even if she'd like someone in the future, Elsa would always have the first priority. No one could replace Elsa in her life.

"Alice, shall I book a hotel now?" The fatigue from travelling such a long flight was making it difficult for her to stand straight. Elsa's condition was worse.

"No, thanks! Your task is to take your luggage home by bus. All the expenses will be reimbursed!"

Alice said with a smile. She believed that Amy would find the gift she gave her when she'd return to her home.

Alice might not have experienced the family affection, but she hoped that Amy could enjoy spending time with her family.

She had worked hard for Alice for a long time and she deserved to be treated right.

"Alice, what about you?" Amy was worried about Alice and Elsa, and she was afraid that she couldn't take care of Elsa alone.

"Don't worry. I'll take care of Elsa perfectly and won't make her sad."

After Alice's assurance, Amy put away her luggage. Alice felt ashamed. Amy's worry proved what a failure she was as a mother.

Without giving Amy another opportunity to stop them, Alice took her daughter's hand in hers and waved goodbye.

Amy waved back once the bus started. As the bus rolled by, she realized that she was abandoned by Alice and her daughter.

But Alice did it for Amy so that she could be with her family. It filled Amy with gratitude towards Alice. She now became confident of going home.

Meanwhile, Nathan and Eric were also at the airport.

"Mr. Xiang, Miss Li is still in the parking lot." She was waiting for Eric, but they had already left.

"You can deal with it!" After commanding so, Eric closed his eyes, feeling tired. It was troublesome to have friends.

The woman Nathan was talking about was Irene Li. Her brother, Alex Li, was Eric's friend.

"Mr. Xiang, shall we go back to the villa or...?" Eric was trying to take a rest closing his eyes. Nathan knew he shouldn't bother him, but he had to.

Eric opened his eyes and gave him a sharp look. Then he looked away annoyingly and closed his eyes again to take a rest.

He ordered the driver to leave the airport and go to the company. Nathan still wanted to say something, but he hesitated and didn't say anything.

Eric had become colder and more unpredictable during the past five years. Nathan couldn't help but shiver. He didn't want to provoke his cold-hearted boss.

"What else do you want to say?" Eric, however, had noticed Nathan hesitating. He knocked on the wooden cup rack, waiting for him to speak.

He wasn't that heartless what everyone thought he was. He just didn't want to listen to nonsense.

"Nothing!" Nathan shook his head hastily. He had worked for Eric for years and he knew it very well when he should or should not talk. Even if he now wanted to ask for leave, he couldn't express the same to his boss.

"Are you in love?" Eric asked.

"Don't let it affect your work!" He didn't have any problem with Nathan falling in love. He was always supportive to his own people.

"No!" Nathan hurriedly shook his head, feeling embarrassed. He just wanted to help Alice with her art exhibition.

He didn't expect Eric to misunderstand it.

"Tell me!" Eric frowned at Nathan's weird behavior. "Mr. Xiang,

you've misunderstood. It's not about a date." Nathan was feeling shy talking about love.

"Are you getting married then?" It must be about either a relationship or a marriage. Why else would he ask for leave which never happened before? He thought Nathan was being shy.

In Eric's mind, the decision of not to be in a relationship in his entire life was still strong. But he didn't want the people around him to be affected by him.

He was aware that he would change his mind soon.

"Mr. Xiang, it's really not like that! My sister, Emma, has a friend in Paris. Her friend went back to T City and is going to hold an art exhibition."

Emma had asked him to help Alice. He had no choice left but to confess to Eric.

He didn't expect that Eric would think that he was having a relationship. He was at a loss whether to cry or to laugh.
