Love After The End

"I am happy to tell you that your wife is three months pregnant." The doctor said to the couple that sat down calmly, he was waiting for their response.

Diva the heir of the Thompson family, she is stunning and have a very slim figure, long beautiful legs, and has a very tiny waist, her long blonde hair fall down to her shoulder and her beautiful blue eye was attractive, she has a soft kissable cherry lip which is one of the things that attract people attention to her.

She holds her husband's hand, her eyes full of an amazed smile. "Really that's good news. I am so happy, thank you so much doctor." Diva was very excited hearing that she is finally pregnant. She had been waiting for such news ever since she got married.

"Yes doctor, thank you." Andre,her husband said, he is in his twenties, he looks young and aloof, his messed up hair make him more attractive, he has a broad frame chest and his looks are very charming.

Both of them held each other's hand as they walked out of the hospital in happiness.

Diva was the most excited because she have being waiting to hear this good news for a very long time, she got married at a very young age, Andre and her are so in love with each other other so they just got married after she graduated from college and from then on she have being anticipating to have a baby.

Andre opens the back door for Diva before he enters the car, he holds Diva's hand and places a kiss on it saying in a calm tone. "Thank you,this is the best gift ever."

"You are welcome." She muttered and hugged him. Both of them shared a quick kiss before he sent a signal to the driver to start the car.

Soon enough they got home, their house is located at a very quiet place with tight security. It is among one of the most expensive mansions in the estate. Andre opens the door for her and they enter their house. Diva has to be extra careful from now on. Nothing must happen to the baby, the fetus is now Andre's main concern.

"Mr Aaron please prepare Diva favorite I am sure that she must be starving by now." He assigns the butler to work immediately and helps Diva upstairs to rest.

"I am so tired, and happy at the same time I can't wait to put to bed. I really want to see how our baby will look. I am so happy to have him,I can't wait to hold him in my arms ." She smiled as she touched her small belly.

Andre helped her to sit down on the bed and touch her belly, placing a kiss there. "We are so lucky to have her, have you decided on a name yet?"

"Her? We are having a boy not a girl." She said playfully.

"Definitely not, I want a beautiful daughter just like you." He pinched her cheek and smiled at her, he stared at her beautiful face and couldn't help but to kiss her cherry red lip.

She responded to his kisses and broke it very quickly. "I think that it is too early for that. Let's talk about the name of the baby instead, how about Edward if the baby is a boy and Emilia if the baby turns out to be a girl which I do not want."

"It is definitely a girl, the name is nice, we can go with that but what's more important now is your health,rest for a bit before the food is ready." Andre said and used the blanket to cover her up.

"Alright."

"I will put your stuff downstairs so that you won't have to always move around." He placed a kiss on her forehead and left the room.

He went downstairs and assigned work to the maid.

In the evening.

Diva woke up feeling kinds of bad energy she yawned robbing her eyes. It has been a long time since she last slept this tight. It is either Andre disrupting her sleep or having nightmares.

She stood up and wore her slippers, she dragged her legs downstairs feeling more tired than ever after waking up. It looked weird to her, but she wondered whether it was because of the pregnancy.

"Ma'am you are awake." The maid said before she helped her to walk downstairs because Andre has assigned them to always help her when walking so that she won't fall especially if she is climbing the stairs.

"Thank you." She pulled the chair and sat down. She hadn't even had a bite before she started feeling nausea, so she ran to the bathroom.

Andre that was on a call saw this and quickly followed her, he helped her to hold her hair as she vomited. She washed up her face and touched her chest.

"Why is there fish on the table that's not one of my favorites and I am also pregnant now so it makes it worse. I am so sorry for disturbing you. Are you not on call?" She sighed as she said showing her disgust for fish.

Andre got angry immediately when he heard that there was fish on the table. "Mr Aaron, why did you prepare fish that's not one of her favorite dishes, who is the chef who prepared it!?" He yelled angrily letting out his frustration, he hated it whenever Diva experienced pain or felt disgusted for something and that's one of the reasons he stopped eating fish despite his love for it.

"Sir I am so sorry to hear that, the new chef did not know about the rule yet and I forgot to tell him I am so sorry." He apologize bowing his else even though he is older than him he have to show him some respect because he is his boss and he have being taking care of him since he is ten years old and he is more like a father figure to him, he knows how much he loves Diva and won't want any body to hurt her or cause pain for.

"Fire the chef right away. I don't want someone that will cause harm to my wife in my house." he said boldly with a firm tone.

"Ok young master." He simply replied and left.

"Andre you don't have to fire the poor man, look at me I am perfectly ok, it is because of the baby and nothing else. I have even tried fish before and I did not feel nausea or anything, if anyone should be blamed it should be the baby." She touched his cheek as she explained. Both of them staring into each other's eyes.

Andre slightly nodded his head. "Ok, but just this one time if it repeats itself again I will definitely fire him."

She burst into laughter. "Ok no problem. Now let's go and eat. I am starving."

He held her hand and then went back to the dining area. He helped her with the chair and kept on picking her favorite food for her as she ate.

"So delicious I think I like this chef we can't fired him if his food is this delicious we have to pay him more instead so that he won't leave." She took another bite of the steak and widened her eyes in amusement. This is the first time that she is enjoying her breakfast after a very long time.

Before they knew it she had eaten three bowls of rice and she almost finished up her food while Andre just kept on picking food for her. He is not a fan of delicious food and he did not fancy it; he only kept on hiring good chefs because of Diva. He sent the signal to the butler to come and whispered. "Double his salary."

Mr Aaron smiled and nodded. He is already expecting this, the chef food is good and Andre will do everything to keep him.

"So is my stuff in the room downstairs already I want to take a shower I am so tired." She yawned, she was already dozing off as if the chef added sleeping pills to the food.

"I will take you there, you look so tired you should sleep early." He showed her the room before he went to his private office to continue his work. He might look jobless but he has piles of work to handle everyday. The only reason he stays calm and pretends as if he had nothing to do is because he has to take care of his wife.

Diva took her bath and changed to something more comfortable before she lay down on the bed and slept off. She was planning to wait for Andre to come back but she did not know when she dozed off.

When Andre was about to be done with his work he went to the room to check on her. The light is still switched on and she did not cover herself with the blanket properly.

He smiled and used the blanket to cover her very well. He kissed her forehead and whispered. "I love you goodnight."

Diva pouted as if she heard what he said. Andre finds this cute and his lip moves slightly. He turned off the light and left the room. He went back to his office to continue his work.

Diva woke up by the sunlight shining into her room she yawned tossing and turning on the bed she enjoyed her sleep and had already guessed that Andre must leave for work.

"He did not even say goodbye." She pouted, stretching her hand and looking at the side to find a letter.

The letter is from Andre and it is written. "Good morning my love I have to leave for work early and I don't want to disturb you, take care of yourself and our baby loves you."

Diva smiled as she read the letter and she did not look sad again, she sighed and got up from the bed she wore her slippers and went to the bathroom and took her bath she came out dressed in a new fresh cloth.

She walked to the living room and all kinds of aroma was coming from the kitchen. It seems like today's food will taste good too and she can't wait to start eating. She goes to the kitchen and the chef and the maids immediately bow as a greeting.

"Good afternoon ma'am, lunch will soon be ready." The chef said with much respect, he is really grateful to her for helping him yesterday. If not he will be jobless by now although he will find a job quickly but his salary might not be up to what he is collecting now.

Diva nodded and sat down on the stand. " Ok I will sit down here and watch you, just do your thing I will watch."

"Alright ma'am." He said awkwardly, he is a very shy person and hates to be watched while cooking. That's part of the reason he rejects being on a cooking show after a lot of offers. He prefers keeping his cooking talent and making his master enjoy his meal than being a star.

Diva smiled, noticing the awkwardness he felt. "You don't have to feel shy or anything, ok I will just watch and won't say anything."

"Alright ma'am."he responds and continues with the food he is preparing.

"By the way how did you become a chef at a very young age." She asked in curiosity.

The chef looks up, giving her a weird look and she immediately knows the reason why.

"Ohk I promise not to say anything but I will only ask you this question and nothing else ok so please answer me." she smiled awkwardly.

The chef ."I used to watch my grandfather as he cooked and I also love that too. He taught me some basic skills and I learned the rest after working for a restaurant for years."

"Ok that's great." Her phone rings and she picks it up to check the caller ID. "Excuse me for a minute." She leaves the kitchen before she picks up the call.

"Hi mom." she said.

"Andre, call me now and tell me about your pregnancy, how are you doing?" Her mom responded from the other end.

"Fine mom, thanks for calling." She responds in a distant tone, she is not so close to her mom.

"Alright bye take care." Her mom said before she hung up.

Diva sighed and went to the kitchen. Everything is ready and the maid is taking the food to the dining area.

Diva had her lunch and was so happy. She interacted with the maid more, and she became more friendly and nicer than before. It seems like the pregnancy is not affecting her that much, instead it makes her better. And she is able to rest more and eat more than usual. She has been hoping to gain more weight and now it is finally a dream come true for her.

In the evening Andre gets home earlier than usual even though he is not done with his work he wants to see Diva before she goes to bed, but to his surprise she has already fallen asleep.

He sighed and close the door, he leaves the house and went to work again, he should be spending time with his wife how but he have to be working late at night and that's not beneficial to the employee, they are all happy to hear the news of Diva pregnancy because they will be able to get off work earlier, they did not expect him to come back to work.

"Let's hold a meeting tonight to inform the director." He said to his assistant in a cold voice it shows clearly that he is not in a good mood and his assistant doesn't want to get in his bad book.

"Right away sir." He replied and left the office in a hurry. Meanwhile, they were still curious as to why their boss is still at work. Some of them thought that maybe he forgot something and would leave soon.

As soon as his assistant comes outside they attack him with all kinds of questions.

"Why did he come back?" One of the employees asked.

"You all should behave yourself and do your work properly, boss is not in a good mood tonight." He said In low voice before he continued with the task assigned to him.

He calls the director and they all match to the conference room immediately. They are shocked to have been called all of a sudden especially when they will soon get off work.

Andre is already waiting for them in the conference room. He had a serious look plastered on his face. He gave a cold stare to all of the directors in the room, sending a shiver to all of them.

"Why is the project not done?" He said coldly in his command tone full of authority.

"Sir, I have sent the project to your table and it must have been delivered." The director that the work is signed to respond.

"Really, and I haven't respond what does that mean?" He yelled and threw his hand on the table hitting it hard.

"I will change it sir." the director said in fear of losing his job.

Just as Andre was about to talk his phone rang he checked the ID, his gaze softened immediately. He chuckled and took the call replying in a calm tone as if he is not the same man that was angry right now.

"Where are you ? I was informed that you left home after checking on me, I am sorry I dozed off while waiting for you." She apologized feeling really bad for not waiting for him to get back since they did not get to see each other before he left for work.

He smiled and replied gently. "It is fine I am on my way home now, wait for me ." He hung up the call and dismissed the director before even finishing the word he wanted to say earlier. His anger vanished away immediately he saw Diva's name and after he heard his voice he was so restless to see her.

The director was happy and counted Diva as their life saver because they can now go home and handle the project without being scolded.

It took Andre thirty minutes before he got home and Diva was almost dozing off by the time he got home.

"Hey Diva." He called and she woke up immediately which made her look cute.

Andre smiled. That's enough to take away his anxiousness. He went over to her and hugged her.

Diva was surprised by the weird behavior and tried to pull him away but he leaned more on her. She sighed and let him have his way.

"Why are you like this did you miss me that much." She asked with a smile.

"Yes I missed you so much, don't you miss me?" He looked at her patiently waiting for her reply.

Diva sighed and pouted. "Yes I do miss you but I would also love to sleep now."

"Wait, we should go and pay your parents a visit tomorrow I will come back home from work earlier ok, so be ready." He said and tossed her in covering her with a blanket.

"Alright." She responds and lies down on the bed before she knows she has already fallen asleep. Andre sit on the bed for a while and watch her and she sleep soundly while he still have a lot of work to do tonight, he can't lie about missing the old Diva that will stay with him through the night and help him with work although he love the way she can sleep soundly now without any nightmare disturbing her sleep. It is a lot of work for him to handle alone and with the way Diva has been helping him he did not feel lonely at all and it won't be easy for him to adjust to her not being by his side again.

He places a kiss on her forehead and leaves the room even forgetting to say l love you like he always did. He left her room and went to the office to handle his own business.

He started working on a file but he was unable to focus on his work because Diva is not here with him to assist him, he did not enjoy working alone at all and even find distracting thoughts of Diva helping him to pick a file in his head he even mistakenly calls out her name. He is to attach to her that he is unable to do anything when she is not here with him to help out.
