chapter 1- I beg your pardon

Dahlia POV

It was another morning, I was up and ready for school.

I didn't wait for my alarm to ring before I woke up this morning. I'm having chemistry as the first subject this morning so I can't bear to go late and my school is damn strict with rules.

Luckily enough for me, I'm a scholarship student cos I know my uncle would never pay the school fees.

"Dahlia?" I heard my name.

that's probably my uncle...why is he shouting my name again

"I'm coming" I replied and walked down the stairs packing my hair in a pony tail style

"Dahlia?" he called again

"I'm coming..." I replied and walked down

There he was standing.. his eyes went up at me and then I sighed

"Good morning uncle Nathan" I said

his eyes ran down my body from my head to my toe

"where are you going?" he asked

"what's that supposed to me...school off course" I shrugged

"school?" he scoffed

"I thought I told you to take a day off" he said

"and I told you I can't do that..I'm having chemistry this morning" I replied and walked to the table

"are you crazy...have you forgotten my family are moving in" he said

I sighed and turned to him

"I remember that..I'll live with my cousins.. that's good"I smiled

"you have to stay home and prepare the house ready for them" he said almost yelling

Wtf!

what's this supposed to mean?

"its your family not...they are not guest, we are families so why should I do all that?"

"don't ask me again.." he fired back

"don't get me wrong.. all I'm saying is they are free to move round the house..we are one anyways" I sighed and picked my lunch pack

"I can't miss today's class that's why I did all my chores as fast as possible" I said but didn't get a reply

"they'll be here any moment from now"

"no big deal" I shrugged

"bye uncle!!!" I waved at him and left

I sighed immediately... he can be frustrating

What?

Its my fathers house anyways.. he better behave himself

I walked to the gate and just then a car parked before me

"hey!" I exclaimed

"how on earth did you get a driving license" I spat out

He almost hit me

Just as I tried to walk away I paused..

I turned back and look to see who came down...

A woman

A guy....

a girl....

and another girl...

"I guess this is the house mom..its really beautiful" the little girl said

"Awww thanks, its my house and please are you....?" I paused

"her house? I thought its Dad house" the girl said

I chuckled.. I guess you must be who he said was coming.

I said walking back to them..

"good morning.. uncle Nathan is in" I replied

I paused.. a girl was giving me some kinda look

I turned to her.."what?" I asked more of a whisper

"just get the loads in" the woman said and walked away with the girls

"loads?" I asked no one

I was standing with the guy and scoffed.. what's all this?

"sorry who was she referring to?" I asked him.

He turned to me and I could take a better view of his face

Jeez!

he's damn cute

"I guess me" he smiled

"Dylan get in!!" the woman said at the door

"oh..you sure?" I asked him

"She's telling you to get in..so who'll pack the load?" I chuckled

"don't worry I will.. that's the way she is" he smiled and then the driver brought it all out from the boot as we pulled them behind

"I'm Dylan" he said

"I'm dahlia... nice to meet you" I replied

we got in and dropped the load down..

"I'm so sorry but I have to get going, I have class early this morning" I said in a hurry and turned to leave

"so who'll pack the remaining luggage?" she asked me

"sorry?" I scoffed

"mom!" Dylan said

"honey what type of niece is she...she lacks manner" she said

look at who's talking..."I'm sorry you're wrong"

"I love her uniform... sure the school is expensive" the older girl said

"what else... your mom makeup price isn't enough to buy the socks!" if only I could say it to her

"I see that too Dacy.. don't worry.. you'll attend the school if you want to" she replied calmly

"well nice..I'm outta here" I said and turned to leave

"mom no I'll bring them in" Dylan said behind me

"I'm so sorry but I can't stay much longer.. I'll be late" I said more politely

"the house is free..feel home" I said and left

"I see..." a girl said behind

"bye uncle!" I exclaimed and left

"baby what sort is girl is that?" the lady complained.

I paused and turned back

"you don't know how to welcome guest don't you?" she asked me

"I don't see you as guest, but as family... uncle said you're coming to live here with me and I don't know why you're making a fuss"

She scoffed. "oh goodness.. so sorry your parents are dead and we're taking over this house in case you don't know that"

"I beg your pardon!"

"you heard me...its now ours" she said

"yup..so you follow rules here.. rules i give alone" she said

I laughed.."is this a kind of joke or something?"

"nope..its all real" Dacy replied

"I don't remember selling my fathers house to you not even my uncle... Nathan!" I replied

"and please don't make this morning hard for me..I have to think straight in class" I replied

"I'm just letting you go cos it's your first time meeting me" she said

"I don't have your time now..." I muttered and turned to leave

"mom that wasn't nice" I heard Dylan say

"why...that's the truth Dylan" Dacy replied

"its her fathers house not ours.. respect that!" he replied angrily

"will you shut up.. what do you know?" my uncle said

"oh really???????"

chapter 2- New people home

Dahlia POV

That was just my uncle voice wasn't it.

I turned back to look at them with no facial expression on

"maybe its because I'm in a rush...but with all due respect.. you're welcome home and please fell free but don't tamper with my stuffs" I said faking a smile and brought out my phone to check the time.. I'm running late

I hurriedly walked out without bothering to look back and stopped a cab as soon as I got outside the house

"spring high!" I said immediately

"alright ma'am" the cabman replied

I rested my back against the chair to think of the little scene that just happened in there

"what's that girl problem anyways!"

"I hope she's not the type that will bring me hard time" I thought and sighed closing my eyes for a little while

In the next 45 minutes I should be in school

Dylan POV

"what the fvck is your problem Dylan!" my dad yelled furiously at me

I chuckled lowly.."what? did I say anything wrong? she was right!" I shrugged and pulled my bag with me

"you better get your brain reset..you're in this place not as her fathers house but mine" he replied

I paused and turned to him

"when did you buy it?"

"Dylan mind the way you're talking to your dad" my mom snarled

"no mom what! she is a hundred percent right! its her fathers property we can't just claim what's not ours" I replied

"it doesn't make sense" I added and walked away

"you better talk to him..." my dad said to my mom

"no you talk to him" she fired back

"Dylan!" he called from behind

I stopped and turned to him

"you know you're my first child and the only son..you better don't have a chicken mindset, aren't you glad we left that house and moved to a bigger and more comfortable one?" he asked

"I am happy dad.." I sighed

"then sit up like a man..you're 17! okay?" he yelled as I nod my head

I'd be a sensible one..yes sometimes he acts like he's brainless

"there are about 6 rooms here" he said as my mom finally sat down

"that's very good"

"yeah I'll take a room" Dacy exclaimed

"take a room?" I asked her

"you're sharing a room with daria" I said to her

"what? dad did you just hear Dylan?" she exclaimed

"we'll sort all those out when Dahlia gets back home" my dad replied

"that's more sensible"

"who said so..you have to give my kids room..must we wait for her!" my mom yelled

"yeah..I can't" daria replied

"what do you know about room...." I rolled my eyes at her

"if so...fine, Dylan will take a room first before you" my dad said as I nod my head

"and I'll use the masters bedroom with your mom" he added

"does that mean I'm still sharing a room with daria?" Dacy asked

"yup!" I replied

"I'm 16 for god sake and She's 10!!" she exclaimed

"and so what?" I fired back

"just follow him and take your room..." my dad groaned sipping a bottle of water

With that I left, she tagged behind me with Daria.

I got to a door and opened it...it looked like it has been taken

"wow I love this one" Dacy gasped

the room was decorated and had pics around.. guitars and other beautiful stuffs

"it looks like its Dahlia room" I replied

"and she'll have to move out" she shrugged

I turned to her with disgust

"you met her here and its her house.. you'll find another room and decorate it yourself" I said shutting the door and went for another

The room next to hers was also beautiful.. a bed was in the middle and every other thing needed in a room was there

"I guess I'll take this...its painted blue.. my favorite" I smiled

"oh really?" daria pouted

"go pick from the others" I said and pulled my stuff in shutting the door behind

"so I'm starting a new life" I sighed jumping to the bed to rest

chapter 3- solve the equation

Daria already filled her bed with her Teddy bears and toys..."if you and I will share a room you better know how you'll handle all that" I said irritatedly and left the room

I just passed Dylan door and it was shut..what's he doing in there anyway

should I meet him or just pass by?

Nah!

he may be asleep...

I'll just leave him

I passed the next door that belongs to Dahlia and froze..

"wait .." a smirk plastered on my face as I walked back to it

"maybe a little research" I laughed and walked in

Dahlia POV

I've been seated for more than 45 minutes... the teacher doesn't look like he'll ever leave the class

I mean his period is over and still he's talking

I sighed and took a note down....

To be honest my mind has been drifting back to what happened earlier at home

I really can't wait for break... i need to calm my head with something nice to drink

"so that will be all for today's class" he finally said as I released a heavy sigh

"finally!!!" I exclaimed lowly And let my head down on my desk

Riley chuckled beside me and poked me

"well that's unlike you..." she said

We are just few meters away.I turned to her and sighed

"yeah..damn I got tired today" I replied

"yeah wanted to say it before but you didn't look good so I kept mute"

"so what's that?" I asked her

"what are we having after now!" victor said turning his face to us and interrupting!!!

He sits in my front...

" None of your business you should mind your business" Riley laughed

"I knew you'll reply me this way!" he rolled his eyes

"its a free period" I replied him

"great!" he replied as he took a wrap of chocolate out

I snatched it before he could put them into his mouth

"I'll just have this" I smiled

"yeah sure...I shouldn't have brought it out" he laughed

"won't you go hang out with your friend" Riley asked him

"you mean Kylo?" he smiled as he turned to him

Kylo already had his headphones on his ear and his book before him.. maybe reading

"I doubt if he's reading that" Victor clicked his tongue

"same here" I whispered and turned back to Riley

"okay then...I'll go say hi to him" He replied and stood up to leave but then a girl walked to him stopping him

"uh Victor wait!" she smiled pulling her hair behind her ears

"what....?" he asked lowly

"please I've always wanted to have your autograph on my uniform..." she smiled

"uniform??" he exclaimed wide eyed

"I'm sorry..I can't now..maybe later" he faked a smile and tapped her shoulder walking to meet Kylo

"girls ..." I clicked my tongue

"ah that was enough!" she sighed happily looking at her shoulders

"how disgusting!" I pouted and heard Riley chuckle

"yeah...so what's up?" she asked me

"we'll talk later about it...its actually nothing serious" I replied

"okay then... I have some works to finish up" she said and took her phone out

"you mean on your Instagram or your book?" I laughed

"Instagram off course...daughter of a politician.. my followers keep growing daily" she giggled

"yeah...." I smiled

"you know I can help grow yours, just one single post of you singing BOOM! You're gonna be surprised" she exclaimed

"that's true but nah" I laughed and looked away back to my table

"wanna read?" she asked me

"hell no! my head aches me here" I laughed and turned to Victor

He was laughing and talking with Kylo.. oh yeah

They are perfect match..

Kylo is the basketball captain and Victor is the best player

Victor on the other hand is the baseball captain

Riley is the cheerleader... and yeah politician daughter

Kylo is also good in martial arts... recently Victor goes to him for lectures and at the same time Kylo is the best swimmer in the school.. he's just so blessed

and for me...I guess nothing!

hell no.... I swim and play badminton also tennis

And also sing ..

I kept smiling at Kylo cute smile..he's just so handsome.

I was so lost in thoughts..."ah, those people at home said they want to attend this school.. do they think its child's play?" I said in thoughts and smiled

I got back to reality and saw Kylo was smiling at me .

My eyes went wide.. he chuckled immediately

"fvck!" I screamed in thoughts and then he gestured Victor to look at me

He did and waved.."hey..." I said in an inaudible voice and looked away

About few minutes later.. the period was over.

Another teacher walked in to teach maths..

Everyone returned to their seat and were of best conduct

Riley murmured and kept her phone between her books

"pst pst!" I whispered to her

She raised her brows at me

"don't let him get you" I whispered

She gave an assuring smile and continued with her phone in disguise

I shook my head and turned to Kylo.. Victor was paying attention, Riley wasn't.. so would Kylo?

I turned back to see and Nah!!

he was looking at me!

I gulped down and raised my brows at him..

"what?" I said in an inaudible voice but he could hear me

"nothing..." he smiled

"Dahlia is that where your teacher is?" Mr Steve voice came up

I froze....

"yeah..I guess he's over there..where did I stop?" he asked

I turned back to him

"me?"

"aren't you the only Dahlia here?" he asked

"uhmm uh.." I stammered

"uh? you were looking at Kylo all through and___" he trailed off

"I wasn't!" I fired up

"then come solve the equation on the board" he said and I could hear some female students laugh and clap

I don't think I'm going out..cos I didn't even hear a bit of what he said

"Dahlia...?" he called

I sighed and stood up

"That won't be necessary.. I'll solve it" Kylo said as he stood up and walked to the board

"I said Dahlia will" he replied

"Mr Steve do you want to lose your job?" Victor asked

Yeah the heir of the school is talking

All of them have their reputation and status

Kylo the son of a multi billionaire...

He sighed.."fine..Kylo you solve it" he gave in as I sighed

"aww.. look how cute he is" a girl said

"why will dahlia even look at him?" another said

"I was actually the one smiling at Dahlia.. and yeah she noticed. what a strong spirit" he smiled and rounded up the equation

"correct!" Victor exclaimed

"a hundred percent" Riley added

Mr Steve sighed.."here!" Kylo smiled and handed the white chalk to him and winked at me before going back to his seat

"I'm not gonna turn back"
