Chapter 1 Lila

"Lila-Rose Meyer was a 19-year-old girl who lived in the hot, tropical, beautiful, and busy city of Skyline. But beneath the city's glamor and glitz, there was a secret world filled with magical creatures. She was a member of a secret organization vested with the power to control these creatures to prevent them from acting excessively or hurting innocent humans. This organization is known as the Quove and they follow the rules of the Quovent which is like their government. "Lila finds herself in a mix.

No matter what Lila did or how hard she tried to prove herself, she was known as the "traitor's daughter," a label that she struggled to escape. The stigma followed her everywhere, and it was difficult for her to make a name for herself but Lila was determined to prove that she was more than just her father's daughter." Her father, Frank Meyer actually broke out of the organization called the Quove to create his own alongside people who had the same idea as him. The reason was because they didn't like the methods used by the quove and the quovent(the central body they obeyed like a government) to control these creatures. "No one knows the whereabouts of Franklin Meyer but the impact of his group has been deeply felt. "On a busy street in Skyline city, people are bustling around, going about their daily lives. In the midst of the crowd, Lila-Rose is walking alone, her head down, her eyes fixed on the pavement in front of her. Trying hard to avoid eye contacts with anyone. But then, something catches her eye "Lila, Lila" Jeremy calls out to her while waving his hands. Lila freezes in place as she hears her name called out. She slowly lifts her head to see Jeremy, her brother from the family she grew up with, waving to her from across the street. He's smiling, clearly happy to see her. Her stomach drops, and she heaves a sigh of relief. She was away for a while, on a trip to see her grandmother who is the only surviving person she knows from her real family. "She had been waiting for Jeremy to pick her up in his car. She was standing under the hot sun, which was unfriendly today. The sun was not smiling down on her. She approaches Jeremy and he gives her a big hug. "How was the trip" he asks "It was just the usual Jer, nothing more, nothing less....my grandma is actually fun to be with and it was great being there". Before I forget, I waited two hours for you to come pick me up. Why did you take so long?" she asked in an angry tone Flustered by the question, he tries to change the topic and mumbled something about traffic and other obligations. "Well, it's nothing much. Leon borrowed my car for a while, I had to wait for him to return it" "Are you kidding me Jer. You should have told me on the phone" she continues "I couldn't because I knew how pissed off you'd be" Jeremy replied "At least I would have taken a taxi". "Well", Lila says with a smile "no need to cry over rotten egg, let's go. "I'm sure it was spoiled milk or was it spilled milk," Jeremy said jokingly, and they both laughed. "I'll go with rotten egg, Jer," she concluded. Getting home, she met her family' Everyone was happy to see her. The Andersons had raised Lila as their own after her father left. She was seven years old when her father, Franklin Meyer, left to be the founder of the opposition organization. "Welcome back, Lila," Mrs. Anderson said with a warm smile. "We've missed you while you were away." Lila gave her foster mother a big hug. "I missed you guys too," she said. Everyone seemed welcoming....how she had missed home. Lila could hear footsteps coming from the hallway, and a moment later, her foster brother Matt came into the room. "Lila! You're back!" he said excitedly. "How was your trip?" Lila smiled. "It was good, but I'm happy to be home." "I'm glad you're back too," Matt said. "It's been kinda boring around here without you." The cozy familiarity of her foster home was like a warm hug, and Lila felt herself relax into it. The stress of her work and the long journey melted away as she enjoyed the company of her foster family. "How was your trip?" Mr. Anderson asked. "Did you have a good time?" Lila nodded. "I did, but it's always good to be home." "Well, we're glad to have you back," Mrs. Anderson said. "Now, are you hungry? "Of course ma, how could I not be hungry. Not just hungry, I'm so exhausted and sun-bleached after Jeremy left me waiting for him for hours and the sun was so hot" she said hitting Jeremy playfully on his chest. "Hey, it's not my fault! The traffic was terrible plus you know what happened ," he protested, grinning. "Besides, you know I'd never keep you waiting on purpose." He gave her a friendly nudge in return. "You're not still mad at me, are you?" he asked, with a teasing smile. "Of course I'm not" she replied smiling "because you'd make up for it by treating me to chocolates." "Aww, you know just the way to my heart!" Jeremy said, laughing. "You drive a hard bargain, but I'll happily treat you to chocolates for your forgiveness." He gave her a wink. "I guess it's a good thing I'm such a great brother, huh?" he said, with a playful grin. "The best," she replied, giving him a hug. "And don't you forget it!" "When you two are done playing sibling love, come down here for dinner" Mrs Anderson said from the kitchen. Lila could already perceive the aroma of the meal cooking. It made her mouth water. "How much I've missed this" she muttered with a smile knowing she loves food. Matt who had been sitting quietly, rushed to the table with Lila and Jeremy. Once they're all seated, Mrs. Anderson brings over the food, placing a cheeseburger in front of each of them. There's also a big bowl of fries and a pitcher of cold soda on the table. "So...what's going on with Isabel...I've missed her so much"Lila says. "Of course you do, you'll get to meet at the institute when you resume" Matt replies. "She's one of the strongest people I know in the quove and I'm not playing. You should have seen the way she was trained when I was still a junior. I'm glad all she learned paid off" Lila concludes. "Of course, the mysterious creatures in our world keep increasing and becoming more powerful...we have to increase efforts and enforce hard training on our juniors hence they become powerful beyond control" Matt said with a serious tone. "The powers bestowed on the quove and it's members are like magic powers but to be used for good. To control the bad and promote the good" he continues. "You know Lila, as members of the quove, we are not just here for nothing, we were born for this. That's why children are trained so early" He goes further. The conversation got so deep that they forgot dinner was in front of them. "Oh my goodness, the food is getting cold." They turned to see Jeremy with an almost empty plate. "Glutton" Lila said with a giggle "We both know who loves food more here "Jeremy replied almost choking. "You see, you almost choked on your food"...Matt added. Jeremy takes the teasing in stride - he knows his siblings are just messing with him. He's such a good sport! With the jokes out of the way, they can finally get to eating dinner. But Lila has a question for Jeremy before they dig in. "So, how's the Quove doing lately?" she asks. "Any new developments?" "Yes we.... "That reminds me," Matt says cutting Jeremy half way...."Jer bear has got himself a girlfriend and you're still single as hell." "Seriously Matt....this tactic won't work on me..." Lila answered. Congratulations Jer. Tell me everything. Jeremy seems a little flustered by the sudden attention, but he manages to collect himself and starts telling Lila all about his new girlfriend. "Well, her name is Lily and she's really great," he says, his face glowing with happiness. "She's smart, funny, and just so easy to talk to. We've been dating for a couple of months now, and it's just been amazing." As he continues to gush about Lily, Lila and Matt just smile and listen, happy to see their brother so smitten. "In addition to that....my dear sis When are you going to introduce the lucky man to us" Matt insists. "Seriously" Lila said in disbelief. "There's no gentleman..." she concluded with a smile. "I guess Lila's not ready to be with someone for now since Troy"....Jeremy said. Those words felt like her heart had been pricked by a sharp needle. All the memories came flushing back into her brain....she remembered Troy who use to be her heart throb and how everything ended...how much they loved each other and now he was with someone else. "Well, I've gotten over him now so no need to feel bad" she muttered to herself as a little consolation. Jeremy realized how sad she had become and apologized for what he said There was no problem actually because she wasn't just sad about Troy, she was also sad about how everyone sees her in the quove. They only know her as the traitor's daughter and it's pretty difficult living with such shame. Troy was the one who made her feel wanted apart from her family and friends. I'm so sorry Lila, these people don't actually see that you are more than just your father's daughter...Jeremy says in a bid to console her. "Thanks a lot Jer. She felt happy having Jeremy and Matt to comfort her. "You shouldn't care about what these people say...you should stay strong always. Don't let their words get to you" Matt added. With the support of her brothers, Lila's spirits begin to lift. She starts to feel more optimistic and hopeful. The dark cloud of sadness and self-doubt begins to lift, replaced by a sense of strength and resilience. With a deep breath, she looks at Jeremy and Matt and says, "Thanks guys. I'm feeling much better now." She gives them both a big hug, and they hug her back. The moment of togetherness is comforting and reassuring, and it feels like a weight has been lifted from Lila's shoulders. Their mother comes in....."eat up quickly so you can all rest" she says. "You know Lila will be going to the institute tomorrow". The presence of their mother, Mrs. Anderson, adds to the sense of comfort and security. Her voice is warm and soothing, and her words remind them that they all need to get some rest. And then, the mention of Lila going to the institute tomorrow brings the reality of the situation back into focus. Even though Lila is feeling better, she's still facing a difficult task ahead. "It's okay ma..." Lila says Lila's response is calm and reassuring. She doesn't want her mother to worry, and she wants to show that she's ready to face whatever comes her way. Even though she's nervous about tomorrow, she's determined to put on a brave face. As they all sit down to eat, the conversation turns to lighter topics, like funny stories from the past and silly jokes. For a little while, the worries of the world seem to fade away. The simple act of eating dinner together seems to bring the family closer than ever. The laughter and conversation create a sense of belonging and togetherness that feels like a warm blanket on a cold night. As the meal comes to an end, they all look around the table at each other, feeling grateful for this moment of connection and love. "Well, I think that's the best meal we've had in a while," Mrs. Anderson says with a smile. There's a chorus of agreement from around the table. "That was definitely a meal to remember," Jeremy says. Matt nods enthusiastically, and Lila smiles and says, "I couldn't agree more." Then, Mr. Anderson clears his throat and says, "It's getting late, and I think it's time for everyone to get to bed. It's going to be a big day tomorrow." As the family starts to clear the table and say their goodnights, Lila feels a wave of tiredness wash over her. All the events of the day, from the long journey home to the emotional conversation with her family, have taken their toll. She says her goodnights and heads to her room, sinking into her bed and closing her eyes. The comfortable mattress and soft sheets feel like a haven of comfort, and she begins to drift off to sleep. In Lila's dream, she's transported back to her childhood, playing in the backyard with her father and mother. They're laughing and having a wonderful time together, playing tag and jumping on the trampoline. It's a warm, happy memory that makes Lila feel at peace. Then, as the dream progresses, the scene changes and she sees her father leaving. The dream takes a dark turn as Lila watches her father disappear into the darkness, leaving her alone and afraid. Her screams echo in the night, but he doesn't come back. The scene is so vivid and disturbing, it takes her a moment to realize she's woken up. She's sitting up in her bed, her face wet with tears, her heart pounding in her chest. It takes a few moments to calm herself down and get her breathing under control. After few minutes, she's calm...her eyes wander round the room and catches the clock hanging on the wall. She keeps her eyes fixed on it as it goes tik tok all the way. The steady ticking of the clock is a soothing sound, and Lila's eyes slowly start to feel heavy again. The dream has faded away, and she's left with the comforting sound of the clock ticking in the night. As she relaxes back into the bed, she begins to doze off again. But this time, instead of the dark and disturbing dream, she dreams of something much more peaceful. The dream is a warm and fuzzy memory from her childhood, of sitting by the fire on a cold winter's night, sipping hot cocoa and reading a book. In her dream, Lila starts to hear the beeping of an alarm clock, signaling the start of the morning. The sound slowly grows louder and louder, until it wakes her from her slumber. She opens her eyes and realizes that it's not a dream - it's her actual alarm clock, telling her that it's time to get up. With a groggy stretch and a yawn, she rises from her bed and gets ready for the day. She remembers she's supposed to be at the institute today...she heaves. She prepares to go out, she wears black long-sleeves, jean pants and black boots, brushes her long, silky black hair and pushes it to a corner.

Chapter 2 The Quove

Lila's morning routine is simple and straightforward, and she's out the door in no time. The cool morning air is a bit of a shock after the cozy warmth of her bed, but it wakes her up and makes her feel alert and ready for the day. As she walks down the street, she can feel a sense of anticipation and excitement building within her. She's about to start a new chapter in her life, and she can't wait to see what it holds. Lila feels a little bit of nervous energy as she steps up to the door of the institute.

She takes a deep breath and rings the doorbell, feeling a flutter of anticipation in her stomach. The door opens, and a smiling face greets her. It's Christine her best friend. "I'm so glad you're here, Lila! Come on in, and we'll get you all set up. The atmosphere in the institute is one of efficiency and focus, but it's also clear that all eyes are on Lila. She feels like she's being watched under a microscope, and it's making her even more nervous than before. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she spots a familiar face - it's Isabel, the one person she knows in this place. Isabel waves at her and gestures for her to come over. Lila feels a sense of relief at the sight of her sister, and she makes her way over to where Isabel is sitting. "Isabel", Lila screamed in excitement. She ran to meet her sister she missed so much. The sight of Isabel brings out a burst of joy in Lila, and she runs to embrace her sister with a big hug. Isabel returns the hug with equal enthusiasm, and the two of them are overcome with emotion. "It's so good to see you again, Lila!" Isabel says, her eyes shining with happiness. "I've missed you so much!" Isabel and Lila were in a group. The other three members are Christine, Shane and Mark. They go along well. Christine is her best friend and Mark's girlfriend. She's different, hot, sexy, bold, experienced. Shane seems to always be on her neck with silly jokes about her life. "Little miss Lila is back..." Shane says trying to mock Lila. Stop it...demon head Christine slams him. "Demon head?? Well even if I was a demon brain it's still cooler than being called a traitor's kid...."Shane continues as he backs it up with an annoying laugh. "Shane if you don't stop, I'll force you to with a punch. You know I don't miss..."Christine concluded. "Guys stop it....stop acting like children. We have a job to do here and all you people care about is fighting" Mark interrupts. Lila's head is already down in shame. Shane had use the words that hurt her the most...she couldn't bear it. Before she knew, she felt hot tears circling her eyes. She quickly cleaned them before anyone notices. "Uhm excuse me for some minutes, I think I need to go out..." Lila says going out, looking very upset. Isabel comes in, "what's going on...."she says. "Shane is such a jerk..." Christine replies. Lila goes out to take some fresh breeze...she's clearly upset with Shane. The tears she had been holding back began to roll down her soft cheeks freely. She cleans them with the back of her palm and pushes her black, silky hair to a corner. As Lila stands there, breathing in the fresh air and feeling the sun on her face, she starts to feel her body relax and her thoughts become less jumbled. The breeze is cool and soothing, and the sunlight feels warm and comforting. Slowly, Lila begins to feel a sense of peace and clarity. It's not that everything is perfect now, but it's a little easier to bear. She can take a step back from her emotions and think more clearly. Lila decides it's time to go back inside. She's feeling a little calmer and more ready to face her friends again. As she walks back into the room, Isabel sees her and gives her a warm smile. "You okay?" Isabel asks, her voice gentle and kind. "I'm fine, I guess" Lila replies Lila's response is a little vague, but it's clear that she doesn't want to talk about what happened with Shane. Isabel seems to understand, and doesn't press the issue. Instead, she just offers Lila a sympathetic smile and returns to her work. The rest of the group seems to be busy with their own tasks, so no one else brings up the incident with Shane. Lila is able to settle back into the group and resume her work without any further drama. It seems like Lila has found her equilibrium again. She's able to focus on the work at hand, and put the unpleasantness of the morning behind her. Even though she knows that the experience with Shane will probably stay with her for a while, she feels like she's in a good place now. As the day goes on, Lila starts to feel a little bit of pride in the work she's doing. It's meaningful and important, and she feels like she's making a difference. She goes back in and Mark assigns different jobs to them "Isabel, start a survey on the town," Mark says. "Check if there are any demons causing problems." Isabel nods and gets to work. "Shane, try to hack into the city's database and see what you can find," Mark says. "Christine, go to Shen Zi's home - the leader of the Torbrans - and talk to him about the job the director assigned to some of his group members," he continues. "Lila, come with me. We'll go to the director's office to see what he has for us," Mark finishes. Mark gives everyone clear instructions for their individual tasks, and it seems like he's chosen each task with each person's unique strengths and abilities in mind. Lila is impressed by how well he's taken charge and delegated the work. Lila follows Mark to the director's office, wondering what new task they'll be given. They walk down the long, sleek hallways, their footsteps echoing on the shiny tile floor. When they arrive at the director's office, the secretary smiles and buzzes them in. The director stands to greet them as they enter the room. "Good morning Sir..." they chorus. "Good morning to you too..." the director replies. "I can see your team is working really hard to ensure no demon creature goes out of line...that is really good. I can also see you are doing a great job as team leader Mark"...the director compliments. Mark's face lights up with pride at the director's words. He's clearly pleased to hear that his hard work is being recognized and appreciated. Lila feels a sense of pride too, as she's part of the team that's being commended. "Thank you, sir," Mark says, his chest swelling with pride. "I couldn't have done it without my team." He gestures to Lila, who smiles and nods in agreement. "Well, I'm glad to hear that," the director says. "I have some important information to share with you," the director continues. "We've received some troubling reports of a demon causing problems in the nearby town of Greensboro. It's important that we send someone there to investigate and address the situation. Mark, do you think your team is up to the task?" Lila feels a sense of both excitement and trepidation at the director's words. On the one hand, she's eager to help out and make a difference. But on the other hand, she's a little bit worried about facing a demon in the wild. "Yes Sir, the job is done" Mark assures him. "I have every confidence in you, Mark," the director says, giving him a firm nod. "You'll need to leave immediately. Lila, are you ready for this?" he asks, looking at her with a serious expression. Lila takes a deep breath and squares her shoulders. "Yes, sir," she says with confidence. "We're ready for anything." The director nods again, looking satisfied with their response. "Good. Here's the information we have so far about the situation in Greensboro," he says, handing them a folder. Mark opens it and everything about the demon is there. They thank the director and leave to meet the rest of the team. Mark and Lila walk out of the director's office, folder in hand, ready to take on their next mission. As they make their way back to the rest of the team, they discuss the information they've just received. "This is serious business," Mark says, his voice grave. "We need to make sure we're fully prepared for whatever we might face." "I agree," Lila says. "But I also think we need to be careful not to let our fear get the better of us. "Everyone, get ready. We have a situation at hand," Mark concludes. After a few minutes, everyone is ready. They're dressed in protective gear and have their weapons. Lila is dressed in a black armored uniform, just like the rest of the team. She also has a black pair of boots and a knife. Even though she's soft and shy, she has mastered the art of fighting thanks to her training. In case she needs to, she can use the powers of her bracelet. The team looks like a well-oiled machine, each member equipped with the best gear and weaponry. But what makes them truly formidable is their unity and trust in each other. Lila, in particular, is a key part of the team. Her quiet strength and bravery give the others confidence and hope. "Okay, team," Mark says, surveying the group. "We've got a job to do. Are you ready?" "Ready!" they all answer in unison, their voices filled with determination and resolve. And with that, they head out to face the challenge ahead. The team arrives at the scene of the disturbance, and it's clear that something is very wrong. The streets are deserted, and there's an eerie silence in the air. A few broken windows and overturned cars are the only signs of damage, but the feeling of dread is palpable. "Be on your guard," Mark says, his voice low and serious. "We don't know what we're dealing with, but we need to stay alert." Just then, a dark figure emerges from the shadows. It's tall and imposing, with glowing red eyes and sharp claws. The team is frozen in terror as the figure approaches them, its movements slow and deliberate. Suddenly, it lets out a terrifying roar, and the team snaps into action. Lila takes out her knife and prepares to defend herself. "Stay together," Mark shouts, drawing his own weapon. "We can't let this thing divide us." The creature lunges forward, and the team braces themselves for a fight. Lila and the team are ready for battle, but the creature is fast and powerful. It strikes out with its claws, catching Lila off guard and leaving a deep scratch on her arm. She grits her teeth against the pain and retaliates with a well-aimed kick. Meanwhile, Mark and the others are engaging the creature, but it's clear that they're outmatched. Just as they're starting to get overwhelmed, a strange humming sound fills the air. It's coming from Lila's bracelet! "I think it's time we used powers guys..." Lila says fearfully. Mark and the others nod, and they all raise their bracelets in unison. A surge of energy radiates from the bracelets, combining into a single powerful beam of light that strikes the creature with force. It staggers back, clearly injured. đź’« Isabel sees an opportunity and takes it. She charges forward, dodging the creature's attacks and plunging her knife deep into its chest. The creature lets out a howl of pain and falls to the ground, defeated. The team stands there, panting and relieved. The team takes a moment to catch their breath, surveying the scene. The creature lies motionless, its red eyes dull and lifeless. The silence that follows is eerie, but soon broken by the sound of sirens in the distance. A police car pulls up, and two officers step out. They look around, taking in the scene with wide eyes. "What on earth happened here?" one of them asks, clearly shocked. Lila and the team exchange glances, unsure of how to respond. That's right! The team has been sworn to secrecy about their organization and its mission. They can't risk exposing their work to the public, even if it means raising suspicion among the authorities. "You're free to go," the officer says, still looking somewhat perplexed. "Just... stay out of trouble, okay?" "We will," Mark assures him, and the team leaves the scene, heading back to the institute. As they walk, they all feel a sense of pride and accomplishment, knowing that they saved the day. But they also know that there's more work to be done. They get back exhausted... "Such a day..." Isabel exclaims. They all agree in unison... Lila waits for Christine to come back from the Torbran leader's home so she can tell her how successful their mission was. She was so excited. When Christine finally returns, Lila is practically bursting with excitement. She tells her friend all about their mission, and how they successfully defeated the creature. "Wow, that's incredible!" Christine says, her eyes shining with pride. "I knew you guys would be able to handle it. You're such a great team!" Lila beams at the compliment, feeling even more proud of their accomplishment. Together, she and Christine head to the infirmary to get Lila's arm checked out. As Christine listens to Lila's story, she can't help but feel a little bit of FOMO (fear of missing out). She wishes she could have been there to experience the adventure with her friends, but she knows that her role at the Torbran leader's house was also important. "It's okay, Chris," Lila says, sensing her friend's disappointment. "You did great work, and we couldn't have done it without you." Christine smiles at Lila's words, feeling reassured that she played a valuable role in their success. "I'd go meet with the director to give him feedback on the mission." Mark says. "As the team leader, Mark felt it was important to give the director a full and honest report of the mission," I said. "He wanted to show that he was taking responsibility for both the successes and the failures of the mission." With Mark having gone to meet with the director, the rest of the team continues on with their work. Lila, in particular, focuses on analyzing the data they've collected from the mission, looking for any useful patterns or insights. She knows that every piece of information is valuable, and she wants to make sure they've gathered everything they can. Meanwhile, Shane is busy at his computer, trying to access the city's database. He's determined to find any information that could help them in their mission, and he's willing to work all night if he has to. Back at the director's office, Mark is sitting across from the director, briefing him on the mission. He starts by describing the initial objective, and then he goes into detail about what happened on the ground. He talks about both the positive outcomes and the challenges they faced, making sure to be completely transparent and honest. The director listens intently, asking questions and making notes as Mark speaks. When Mark finishes his report, the director nods thoughtfully. "Thank you for your thorough report," the director says. "I appreciate your candor and your dedication to this mission. "Thank you sir" Mark replies "You're free to leave" the director says and he leaves to meet the rest of the team. Mark feels a sense of relief as he leaves the director's office. He knows that he's done his best to represent the team and their work, and he's satisfied that the director has all the information he needs. As he joins the rest of the team, he gives them a quick update on the meeting. "It went well," he says, with a smile. "The director was impressed with our work." The team lets out a collective sigh of relief, and they return to their tasks with renewed energy. After a long and tiring day, the team packs up their things and heads home. They're all tired, but they also feel a sense of accomplishment. They know that their work is making a difference, and they're proud of what they've achieved. As they go their separate ways, each team member has their own thoughts and feelings about the day's events. For Lila, it's a mix of satisfaction and reflection. She thinks about the data they've collected, and she wonders what it might reveal.

Chapter 3 The Mysterious Man

She checks the time, it's exactly 8pm...it's late. She says goodbye to the team and heads home....she starts walking from the institute and is lost in her own thoughts. It was a cool evening, so nice to take a stroll. Lila's thoughts are a jumble as she walks home. On the one hand, she's proud of the work they've done. As she turns the corner, she sees something that makes her stop in her tracks. A little girl is standing on the sidewalk, looking lost and afraid. Lila's instincts kick in, and she approaches the girl with concern. "Are you okay?" she asks gently.

The little girl looks up at Lila, her eyes wide and tear-filled. She's clutching a teddy bear to her chest, and she looks so small and vulnerable. Lila's heart breaks at the sight of her, and she crouches down to the girl's level. "What's wrong?" she asks again, her voice soft and soothing. The girl sniffles and wipes her eyes with the back of her hand. "I can't find my mommy," she says, her voice trembling. "Come here", Lila beckons. "I'll help you find your mommy". The girl hesitates for a moment, then takes a few hesitant steps toward Lila. Lila smiles and opens her arms, and the girl walks into her embrace. Lila holds her tight, feeling the little girl's body trembling against her own. She feels a surge of protectiveness, and she knows that she has to help this child find her mother. "Let's try to find your mom, okay?" she says, her voice full of warmth and compassion. "What's your name?" "I'm Andrea" the girl says, her voice muffled against Lila's shoulder. Okay, Andrea, let's see if we can find your mommy. First, do you know where you were when you got lost? Can you tell me what happened?" Lila asks, trying to get as much information as possible. "I was with Mommy at the grocery store," Andrea says, her voice a little steadier now. "Then I saw a puppy, and I ran over to pet it, but then it ran away and I got lost." She starts to tear up again, and Lila holds her tighter. Just as they are strolling down the street trying to look for Andrea's mother. Lila senses an unfamiliar presence. She stops for a while in a bid to observe the environment and suddenly a creature emerged from the shadows. Yes! it's a demon but what does it want here. Lila's heart pounds in her chest as she sees the demon emerge from the shadows. It's tall and imposing, with glowing red eyes and sharp claws. The demon glares at Lila, its eyes boring into her own. Suddenly, it speaks, its voice deep and sinister. "I see that you are one of the chosen ones(the quove), the ones who wield the power of the ancient symbols," it says, its words dripping with menace. "But you will not succeed. Lila is a clearly afraid...without her team, she can't fight the demon alone. To add to the matters on ground, she was with little Andrea. Now she will have to find a way to protect herself and Andrea. Lila's fear is understandable - the demon is a fearsome and powerful creature, and she's afraid of what it might do to her and Andrea. However, she knows that she must be brave and put her fears aside if she wants to protect the little girl. The demon takes a step toward them, its claws glinting in the moonlight. Lila stands her ground, holding little Andrea close to her. She knows that she must stand firm and try to drive the demon away. But how can she do that when she's so afraid? As the demon approaches, Lila's hand shoots to her pocket, where she's hidden a small knife. It's not much, but it's the only weapon she has. With a trembling hand, she pulls it out and holds it up in front of her. The demon pauses, clearly surprised to see the small weapon in Lila's hand. "Do not underestimate me," Lila says, her voice shaking but determined. "I will not let you hurt me or Andrea." The demon snarls, its fangs glistening in the moonlight. As Lila goes into battle with the creature, the injury from her previous encounter opens up and starts bleeding. She falls to the ground, and little Andrea starts crying. Lila and Andrea look up in surprise as a figure steps out of the shadows. At first, it looks like another demon, but then it becomes clear that it's actually a person. The figure steps into the light, and Lila gasps. "I see you're in need of some help," he says, his voice calm and reassuring. It's a young man, in his 20s. "Are you okay?" he asks, his voice gentle. "is that little girl with you?" Lila stares at the young man, still trying to process what's happening. He doesn't look like a demon, but he could be an ally of the creatures. She can't be too careful. "Who are you?" she asks, her voice firm but not hostile. "How did you get here?" The young man holds up his hands, showing that he's not a threat. "But how did you know we needed help?" Lila asks, her eyes narrowing. "You don't have to worry about that love". What matters is that you and the little girl are alright. "See ya" he said while he gestured to leave. "You haven't answered yet" Lila sounded a little harsh. "Is that how you behave towards someone who saved you?" he said with a stern look. From the way he spoke and looked, Lila saw he wasn't in for jokes. He looked and acted cold. Before she could ask another question, he left without giving her a chance and leaving her to battle with multiple questions in her head. Lila is left standing there, confused and a little bit angry. Who was that man? How did he know about her and Andrea? And why did he leave without answering her questions? She feels frustrated and a little bit afraid. What if he's working with the demons? What if he comes back? She looks down at Andrea, who is still crying quietly. Lila takes a deep breath and kneels down next to the little girl. "It's okay, sweetie," she says, trying to sound reassuring. "We're going to be okay". "What was that?" Andrea asked, her voice shaking with fear. Lila hesitates, not sure how to answer. She doesn't want to lie to the little girl, but she also doesn't want to scare her. "It's... it's hard to explain," she says slowly. "But I can tell you that we're safe now. You don't have to be afraid." "But what about that man?" Andrea asks, her eyes wide. "Where did he go?" Lila sighs, knowing that she can't avoid answering this question. "I don't know who he is," she admits. "But we're safe, I promise. "Now let's go find your mommy" Lila tells her. Andrea nods, still looking a little bit scared, but comforted by Lila's presence. "Okay," she says softly. "Can we hold hands?" Lila smiles and takes the little girl's hand in her own. "Of course we can," she says. "Let's go." As they walk away from the shadows, Lila can't help but feel a sense of unease. She keeps glancing over her shoulder, half expecting to see the man again but he doesn't appear. She sees a lady in front who looks like she's looking for something. Andrea raises her voice, "that's my mommy". Lila is quite happy and they approach the lady. "Andrea" the lady screams. "Mommy" Andrea says as she runs into the woman's open arms. "Thank you" the woman says to Lila. You're welcome, Andrea is such a sweet little soul" Lila says back. The woman looks at Lila with gratitude in her eyes. "I was so worried," she says. "She's been missing for hours. Thank you so much for finding her." "It was my pleasure," Lila says, feeling a sense of relief. "I'm glad I could help." The woman turns to Andrea, who is still clinging to her. "I love you so much, sweetie," she says, hugging her tight. "I was so scared when I couldn't find you." Andrea looks up at her mother, her eyes shining with love. Lila gives the woman a final smile before leaving. As she walks down the road, she feels a sense of satisfaction. She was able to help someone, and that's what matters most. She heads back to home and straight to her room ready to rest after a long and eventful day. As she lies down on her bed, she thinks about the mystery man from the shadows. Who was he? And why did he leave so suddenly? There's still so much she doesn't know. But for now, she's just happy to be safe, and to have helped a little girl find her mother. "In a dark room, the sound of splashing water fills the air. The sound of the running water is loud and relentless, almost drowning out the sound of the ringing phone. But then, a male voice answers, and the sound of the running water abruptly stops. "Hello?" the male voice says. There's a pause, another voice speaks from the phone. "What information did you manage to collect?" the voice from the phone said. "Nothing, but I managed to get close to one of them," the male voice replied. "Is that all you were able to do?" the voice asked, sounding disappointed. "I'm sorry, father," the male voice said. "I think I'll need to carry out this mission in person." "That's a better idea," the voice said. "But don't fail." The call ends, and the sound of running water resumes. The room is silent, save for the sound of the water and the faint sound of someone breathing heavily. The owner of the voice steps out of the bathroom, wearing only a towel around his waist. There's a half-naked woman lying on his bed. He walks up to her. "I think it's time for you to leave," he says. "Darling, so soon?" she says back. "Do you really want me to go?" She stands up from the bed. "Yes, I want you to leave," he says, his voice cold and stern. "Why?" she asks, trying to touch his chest. He pushes her away." "I'm not interested anymore. You need to leave," he said, his tone filled with warning. His eyes were filled with rage, and his voice was as cold as ice. She sensed danger, and quickly started dressing and packing her things. As soon as she was ready, she hurried out the door.
