Chapter 1

If you like any of my works please check out the rest.

Currently within my works are:

1. Omega No More (Completed):

For five hundred and forty seven years the supernatural world has been divided due to the death of the High King. All races kept to themselves and refused to bow before another race. This was a time of supernatural wars that were hidden from humanity. But maybe it"s time for a change? Maybe the god king has different ideas.

This is the story of Alex McCarthy, an omega in the Dark Tide pack. A werewolf that has experienced a forced rejection. A werewolf who the god king has chosen personally. A werewolf who"s destiny cannot be measured.

2. The Last Of Us (Completed):

Michael Hayes grew up as the pack slave. He was born the runt while his twin brother, Hayden, was born to be the Alpha. His parents, the current Alpha and Luna cast him aside so they could focus on making Hayden the Alpha he was born to be.

Michael became the pack slave at the age of four and his first beating happened at the age of eight. He didn"t care why they did this to him. He cast his emotions aside when he finally realized that no one in the pack actually cared for him. He was here for the sole purpose of making their lives easier.

What happens when Michael finds his Mate? What happens when a wolf who hasn"t shifted gets rejected? What happens to a rejected wolf that has no emotions? What happens when the first rejection in centuries leads to unleashing a monster no one was prepared to deal with?

3. Last Chance (Completed):

Being constantly compared to ones brother can make one feel neglected. This is the case for Kai Walker. His brother was the star of the schools soccer team as well as the star of the basketball team. Everyone adored him and held him on a very high pedestal. This includes his own parents.

For all of his sixteen years he has been constantly compared to his brother whether at home or at school. The most common phrase he hears is, "Why can"t you be more like your brother?"

He made it through the years due to his only friend. A female childhood friend of both his and his brother, Amy Halland. But one sentence from her has sent Kai over the edge. The phrase he never thought he would hear from her. Yet it happened.

Without hope he gives up, right after the sentence he decides to end his existence. He jumps from the school"s roof ignoring the shouts from Amy. Yet it still didn"t work.

He wakes to found himself in a land unknown to him. A land full of magic, knights, and hero"s. Unknowing that his current body is in hospital in a coma. His conscience, thanks to the famous Tranvent Corp gaming company, now resides within a new virtual reality game that they have created, Guild Stronghold.

4. Worth Waiting For (Completed):

For the vampire princess who has wondered the earth looking for a purpose, she most definitely did not expect to find it within a three year boy.

Since the day she met him, she was aware he was her Beloved.

She stayed in the shadows, silently watching over him. Ensuring he was kept safe. She waiting until it was the time to reveal herself. What she didn"t expect and had to stay and watch, was this boy turning into a distant, quiet husk of his former self.

He became the school"s nerd, yet that didn"t phase Ashlynn. She has waited centuries for Malachi, and what she knows now, is that it is always worth the wait.

5. Fear No More:

Victor Mc"Arthur, the last of his kind, was not what anyone expected. Being the last dragon alive, one would expect him to be egotistical. Playing off his status to get anything he wanted. Yet he was none of the stereotypical natures that would accompany the last of any kind.

He was a quiet, kind boy who only wanted one thing, Julie Kale. He has always wanted her to be his, but she was a powerful elemental user who wanted an equally powerful partner. No one knew of Victor"s status, not even Julie. She friendzones him, and uses him to ensure she is ready for her multitude of dates.

One incident broke the last straw Victor held on to. Competing in the annual magic tournament, he intends to win. Winning means that the most powerful witch alive would grant one single wish. A no limit wish. A wish that will be granted.

When he reveals himself through the competition, he gains a new reputation. A reputation the popular could be jealous of. When it is time to claim his wish. The wish chosen, shocks the entire magical community.

A wish that needs to be granted. A wish that would forever shift the balance of power. A wish that may or may not be the end of Victor himself.

6. The Last Hero:

Caden thought he had a new start being summoned to a new world. He thought he would be the Hero everyone wanted him to be. And he was, although only for two years. Once his enemy was defeated, he realised, however, things are not always as you hope them to be.

He was abandoned by the world that summoned him. His friend, colleagues, the Queen that summoned him, treated him as if he was the nothing. They abandoned him as soon as his quest was complete. After all a Hero without a cause isn"t needed.

When a new terror arises four years later, he is requested once more to come in aid of the kingdom. To assist in the fight to live. Yet he refuses, he would not be betrayed again. Let alone by the same woman who summoned him.

Since the need for Heroes was gone, none were trained. Since here can only be one Hero summoned at any given point, the kingdom was at a loss. They needed someone who could fight. Someone who could lead their armies to victory.

Yet the Last Hero alive couldn"t care less.

7. Reality Of The Successor (Sequel to Omega No More):

Alex didn"t think his life could be any worse. He had finally stopped his brother. He had finally found his Mate and now he was planning to spend eternity making her happy.

Then reality sets in. An ancient terror of the universe attacks and it is up to Meredith and Alex to stop it. However, nothing goes according to plan. Meredith once more perishes as Alex gives everything to take revenge. While doing so he is mortally wounded.

Then the unthinkable happens. The terror they faced cursed Alex to a fate far worse than death. He sends Alex back in time to when he first shifted. Although Alex thought it would be great, he failed to remember the curse. A curse that does not allow Mates. Causing both to burn at a single touch.

He sets out to make things right with everyone and more importantly he needs to break the curse. All he wants is his Mate. His Beloved. His Soul Mate. And he will not stop until he gets her.

Chapter 2

Author"s Note: Before I start, I just want to make it known that I do not condone what Kai"s parents have done, nor do I condone his actions. Ignoring of a child is common and should not be ignored by others. If, for any of the readers, you have reached a point like Kai does, please do not follow in his actions but rather seek assistance by those willing to listen. And believe me there are people who are willing to listen to your issues/problems/concerns, even if they are not close to you. Even when there seems to be no hope, there are those who are willing to help.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have always wondered if any one in the world ever woke up in the morning knowing something terrible would happen to them. I don"t mean self inflicted or knowing before hand of a traumatic event. I am referring to a completely unexpected turn of events that throws your life from one end into the sewers and sometimes beyond.
That didn"t happen to me. I awoke that early morning of the 10th of May with the same hateful look at the new day as the previous ones. I knew that no matter what I did, it would never be enough. Even getting straight A"s in school meant nothing to my parents. ninety percent of the times they were sure that I was cheating and I even got grounded a few times because of it.
My brother on the other hand, couldn"t be more perfect in their eyes. Being the star of the basketball team and the MVP of the football team would do that. But my parents take it to far.
I am constantly being compared to him in everything other than academics. For some reason unbeknownst to me, they leave out that small detail. I constantly hear the most nerve wrecking and my most hated phrase, "Why can"t you be more like your brother?"
The funny thing was, they forgot my birthday four days ago and still have not said anything about it. The part that I hated most was the fact that we were fraternal twins. They have yet to say anything to me about that matter.
I have basically given up on my family and am currently waiting for graduation so I can leave and never look back. Unfortunately, being sixteen years of age, that dream is still two and a half years away.
My only ray of light is a childhood friend of both my brother and mine, Amy Halland. I still don"t understand why but she doesn"t treat me the same way as the rest. She actually cares about me and what I do. Even my weird little habits, like watching anime and playing computer games. Of course she judges me a little, yet she never comments about it.
I went downstairs, already dressed for school, in my usual dark clothes. Black jeans, a black long sleeve shirt and black hooded jersey that fit me perfectly. My shoulder length black hair was combed enough to keep it from tangling and my bright green eyes still had a dull gleam to them. I wonder if they will ever shine as once did when I still had the naivety of a small child.
I wasn"t surprised to find that my brother had just left for school and that my mother was already doing the dishes for breakfast. Once more they totally ignored the fact that I wasn"t even present for breakfast or the fact that maybe I would like some. So once again I had to make some bland bran flakes for breakfast. What a start to a day, but then again I am used to it.
School wasn"t much different as the teachers too thought I was cheater yet they could never prove it. Why is it that I am hated at school as much as I am ignored at home? The students, or the entire student body as it should be known bullies me. Even the nerds that get bullied by the jocks bully me. I figure it"s because I have lost the will to even try to fight back.
I was eating lunch in my usual spot on the roof of the school building where no one goes. It is my own little slice of peace. Where some may feel lonely eating there, I relish in the fact that it is lonely. It is the only part of my day I actually enjoy.
I stared at the clouds above me letting my mind wonder to the new virtual reality game that was announced a few months ago. It was going live that night and I couldn"t have been any happier. Working part-time had allowed me to buy the necessary equipment needed to play the game as well as the fact I had enough for the game too.
Guild Stronghold, it"s called. It"s the basic VRMMORPG, Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, where defeating the floor boss it the the main sub quest and beating the world boss is the main quest. That is basically the purpose of the game, but Travent Corp Gaming have taken it to the next level. Using both martial art skills, weapon skills, and magic skills, it is one of the most comprehensible games in the market.
It also allows you to become part of the system where you can become chef"s, lord"s, king"s, knight"s, adventurers, explorers, and many more.
I couldn"t wait for the opportunity to play tonight and kept wishing that the day would end quickly for the same.
The sound of the roof"s door opening took me out of my day dream and forced me back to reality. I looked at the door slowly and saw Amy walking towards me with her lunchbox in hand. Pink. Typical Amy. She always has liked the colour pink.
She was wearing dark blue jeans, bright red sneakers, and a navy blue tank top. Her short blonde hair bounced with every step that she took.
"I thought I would find you here." She said in a soft tone laced with some excitement.
"Are you not eating with Gareth?" I asked as I finished my last peanut butter sandwich.
"Your brother can do without me for today. I wanted to eat lunch with you but you disappeared rather quickly from class." She replied as she said down next to me near the end of the roof.
"Is that so?" I asked as I turned my gaze to the sky and watched a hawk fly past slowly.
"Of course it is silly." She replied as she began to eat her lunch. "What are you thinking about?"
"Guild Stronghold." I responded with some excitement lacing my voice.
"What?" She asked slightly confused.
"The new game Travent has created. It is being released tonight. I"m thinking about how it will be to actually play the game. I have been waiting for months." I let out with a sigh at the end.
"Ah. Gaming, I should have guessed." She said with a soft chuckle.
"Maybe." I replied as leaned back into the fence that lined the roof.
We sat in silence watching the clouds pass us by, comfortable with the silence. That is before Amy decided to speak again.
"You know, there is a friendly game of football this weekend that is raising money for charity. You should come play. It will be fun." She said as she nudged my shoulder slightly.
"No thanks. Sports aren"t my thing." I replied as my voice went cold.
"Come on, it"s for charity. Even your brother is going to play. He"s also rallying some of the football team to join in." She tried again.
"I said no. Sports aren"t my thing." I replied as I stood up.
"I just don"t understand you." She said said with concern filling her voice. It wasn"t a tone I liked to hear from her but if there was something I was adamant against, it would be playing sports. That was my brother"s domain and will most absolutely not get involved in it.
"You don"t have to. I don"t play sports and that"s the end of it." I said my voice still cold.
"Why can"t you be more like your brother? He jumped at the oppor-" My mind cut her off. The one phrase that I had hated most in my life spoken by the only person that made it worth living. I mean, she even remembered my birthday when my own parents couldn"t even be bothered.
Just why did she have to say it. And why did it not click for her to realize what she had just said to me. She was my only friend. My confidante. She knew that was my trigger phrase, yet she said it all the same.
My heart broke into thousands of pieces. I now realized that she was just like the rest. She liked my brother enough to cloud her judgement over me. There was nothing left for me here. Not even the game could fix something like this.
I glanced to my right and saw that some of the fencing that lined the roof was under construction and that there was a sizable hole there. Enough to walk through. Before it dawned on Amy what I was thinking I began to walk over to it.
Why did I have to be born into this existence? This was a waste of a good life that good have achieved greatness, yet I am stuck with it. Why couldn"t I have been born into a family that actually cared about me? Loved me for who I was. I would never know why.
As I reached the edge, Amy finally realized what I was going to do and began to plead for me to stop. Yet she still didn"t apologize for what she had said. I don"t even think she realized she had said it. Had it become such a normal phrase to me that the ones saying it don"t know they are doing it?
I heard my name several times but the gushing wind quickly passing my ears drowned all that out. It didn"t take long before all I knew was darkness.
I awoke in the middle of a town wondering what the hell just happened. I should be dead.
Chapter 3
Why does this town seem so familiar? I swear I have seen it somewhere before. But where? Those were but a few of the thoughts that ran through my head as I tried to understand where I was.
The town look amazing. Although it was a bit overcrowded, the atmosphere was magnificent. Most of the people were kind and polite yet there was always those few who were either too arrogant or to self-involved that they didn"t care about those around them.
The area of the town where I awoke must have been a town center of some sorts. It was large and in a circular shape. In the middle was a small, maybe one meter radius, floating circle structure that rotated clockwise continuously. Upon the circle were strange symbols that reminded me of Celtic runes of sorts. Within the circle was a sphere, the size of a basketball, of a vibrant blue energy that rippled every so often.
Now that looks familiar. It couldn"t be, could it? I thought as I glanced around me once more finally understanding why everything seemed so familiar. This was Guild Stronghold. But how is it possible that I am here? I never signed in. The last thing I remember is jumping off the roof. Why is this happening?
I looked down, wondering what I would be wearing in this world and found a very basic set of clothes. I didn"t even have any armor. Just a white tunic shirt laced at the top loosely. A pair of dull grey trousers and dark brown sneakers. Why didn"t I have any armor?
Noticing the strap across my chest I reached behind me to find the handle of a thick short sword with a gold plated handle and hilt. I tried to unsheathe it but as soon as I tried a notification appeared in front of me within a floating cloud bubble stating:
Town Limitations
Sword Use: Disabled
Wow. I thought. Maybe it"s because this is the beginner town so the reason it is disabled is to allow the beginners and novices a chance to survive within this new world. Smart. Every other game that involved player killing consisted of the spawn killers that camped outside the spawn areas.
I began to walk around until I had finally managed to exit the city. I was expecting lush green grass and a vast mountainous region in the distance. I mean, why couldn"t it be like that game anime I once saw. But no, it had to be deep within the mountain region where the game began.
It was dull and bleak and the caverns and cliff faces gave off a dangerous aura making me wary of travelling to close. I unsheathed my sword and noticed a quick ping near the top right of my vision:
Iron Sword: Equipped
That was when I noticed the Health, Mana, and Stamina bars in the top left of my vision. If I focused on an enemy or some spot in front of me, I found that I could zone out the status bars to allow me to focus on the matter at hand. Of course they never actually disappeared and if I needed I could just glance up to see my current statuses.
I tried finding the skill window but nothing I tried worked. Nothing happened. Not even a notification stating that it was disabled or a Hint notification showing how to access it. I did, however, manage to open the menu which I appreciated greatly.
The menu appear within the bottom middle section of my vision and moved as my head did. It consisted of five rectangles with a dull green glow outline of each option. The options included:
Continue, Inventory, Skills (which was disabled and made me realize why all my previous attempts to access it failed), Friends, and Log Out (which was also disabled).
Why was the Log Out option disabled? Is this a bug? Is it meant to be like this? Movement ahead of me caused me to look up. I spotted two other players who were travelling back to the town. One had a bulky looking metal set of armor that gave off the aura of power, but any gamer would know that its stats weren"t that high.
The other had a tight fitting navy blue long sleeve robe with gold trimming. He had long blonde hair well his bulky associate had short black spiky hair.
I looked above there heads and noticed their names and levels that showed. The bulky man was named KnightDemon with a level of 4, with 96/96 health and the man with the long blonde hair was named Jack with a level of 6 with 138/140 health.
"I think I am going to call it a day. We have been playing all night." KnightDemon said as they came to a stop. "I will see you later this afternoon back in A"Baro up ahead."
"Shot. No problem. See you then." Jack replied as I noticed him look down before his entire body began to shimmer and as a faint blueish glow overtook him, he disappeared. Apparently you can log out, so why can"t I? What makes me so different?
I was lost in thought that I didn"t even realize that KnightDemon had made his way over to me.
"Hey kid. You look familiar." He said with a deep voice and a concentrated expression on his face.
"I"m not sure why. I have never seen you before and I am not even sure this is your real look." I replied as I managed to close the menu.
"Haha." He laughed. "This isn"t my true visage. And no, we have never met before. But I think I know where I know you from."
"Really? And where is that?" I asked wondering how this person might know. I was so intrigued that I completely skipped over the fact that my current image might in fact be my what I look like in real life.
"I"ve seen you in the news." He replied and suddenly his demeanor change slightly. He seemed a little uncomfortable.
"I don"t understand. Why would I be in the news? I"m just a kid in school." I replied with a soft chuckle. This man must be missing a few screws in his head to think that someone like me could have been on the news.
"No. I"m right. You"re the kid who jumped off the roof of his school and fell into a coma." He said as his smile faded.
"Coma?" I asked as my face showed just how shocked I really was. Is what this man saying, the truth? I am I really in a coma? But that shouldn"t be possible, right?
"Yeah, you"re currently in a coma dude." He replied as he shuffled his feet slightly.
"But how am I here then?" I asked trying to find out any more information he could offer.
"Travent Corp Gaming are basically using you as a guinea pig as to whether or not they could successfully transfer the consciousness of a coma patient into the game using their software and hardware." He replied as he rubbed the back of his head with his right hand. "Apparently they could. Quite amazing actually."
"This can"t be happening." I said as a feeling of a tear run down my cheek which I knew wasn"t true as you couldn"t cry in a game. I fell backwards and sat with my head hung low and my arms with my knees in the crooks of my elbows.
"Cheer up, mate." KnightDemon said with a half-hearted chuckle. "At least you get to play one hell of a game."
"You don"t get it." I said as dropped my gaze lower.
"And what don"t I get?" He asked in a defensive manner.
"I was suppose to die that day. That is what I wanted." I began lifting my gaze to look him in the eye. "I had nothing in the real world. My parents ignored me, teachers despised me, my own twin brother pretends I don"t exist, and the only friend I ever had now thinks I am useless. How would a simple game make up for that?"
"Wow." He said with a whistle. "That"s harsh dude."
"And the best thing is, I can"t log out." I said with a defeated smile. "I am stuck in this world and now I will never know the benefits of reality. The benefits of being with a woman that I love. Everything that life away from my current existence could offer. I am stuck in a game that is only superficial and could only offer me some form of friendship and nothing else. How is that living?"
"Damn." He replied with a sigh unable to answer my question. "Listen dude, the best I can do is get some more information on your situation back in reality and let the guys involved in your case know what is going on and what could happen. I can"t promise anything but it may help."
"Thanks." I said defeated.
"In the meantime, I suggest you start leveling." He said as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Once you hit level one, you can change your appearance and an AI (Artificial Intelligence) will assist with setting up your character"s skills. I suggest going south down this road. It is a great experience farming location."
"Thanks." I said again as I slowly stood up.
"Listen, once you hit level one, send me a friend request. That way we can converse a little more easily."
"You don"t know what this means to me." I said with a soft smile.
"No worries, mate." He replied with a smile of his own. "I need to get going now, but I hope to see you later when we can sort a few things out."
