Theo's POV
A knock came at the Alpha's office.
"Come in" he said, his eyes not leaving the reports on his table. He smelt the familiar scent of his sister.
"Hey, big wolf." Tessa called. Theo looked up and smiled at his sister.
"Hey Tess, how's your morning going?" Theo asked. Tessa looked at his table filled with so many papers and answered.
"Better than yours Theo. Have you even had breakfast this morning?" She asked taking a seat.
"No miss, no alpha would be having breakfast with all the chaos going around in the nearby pack, Tessa." Theo answered. Tessa got up and returned in a few minutes with a cup of coffee.
"Here you go." She said dropping the cup on the side of the table where they were no papers.
"Thanks, baby girl." He said and sipped his coffee. "How's preparation for your first shifting going?" Theo asked.
"Well, I'm getting ready. I'm so excited, I can't wait." Tessa cheered.
"I wonder what your wolf would look like." Theo said wondering how her wolf would be when it comes out at first. According to the tradition, her wolf was close, meaning she was due for her first shifting which can happen at any full moon.
"Me too." She said excitedly. "So what can I help you out with here? Wait, what did you say is going on with the nearby packs." She asked suddenly curious.
"Rogues have been attacking and killing wolves in different packs. I got a call from Alex this morning, that one of his pack members was injured by a rogue last night. It's getting out of hand, we'll need to tighten our security around the border." Theo explained. "Tessa, I need you to stay safe ok, don't walk around alone at night. It's pretty dangerous out there and we don't know who's behind this yet." He added.
"I will but..." she couldn't finish her statement as there was a knock on the door.
"Please, come in." Alpha Theo called.
"Alpha" Colton greeted giving a bow. Alpha Theo gave a small nod, he could sense his worry.
"Colton? What's going on?" The Alpha asked.
"Alpha, we are under attack." Colton said, making Theo jump out of his seat. "Beta Carter and some pack warriors are already on their way to deal with the situation but I think you should come." Colton added.
"Why should you need me to take out a bunch of rogues, Carter is there already right?" Alpha Theo asked.
"The attack is led by a she-wolf Alpha, we are not sure but she looks like a really strong she-wolf." Colton said.
"That sounds ...." Alpha Theo gave a low growl, his green eyes turning slightly grey. He started feeling uneasy. His wolf was getting a little excited which got him a bit worried. "Why don't we go and take a look at this female?" his wolf said in his head with a little bit of excitement. "My pack is under attack and you're worried about meeting the attacker." He said to his wolf but didn't get any reply.
"Alpha, what's the plan?" Colton asked. Theo snapped out of his thought.
"Send a message to all pack members, all wolves should stay within reach, no one should wander too far especially women, children, and wolves that haven't shifted." He looked at his sister. "that includes you Tessa" Theo said in his alpha voice filled with authority.
"Yes Alpha, I'll do that immediately," Colton answered.
"Colton, where's the attack taking place?" Theo asked.
"Close to the river at the end of the territory." Colton answered and bolted out of the alpha's office.
"I need to go now." Theo said, taking one last sip of his coffee. He looked at his sister and could sense her fear. One of his abilities as an alpha is being able to feel the emotions of his pack members. He kissed his sister on the forehead and pinched her cheek a little. "I'll be back baby girl, I need to take out some rogues before they cause any danger, could you make me pancake please?" She smiled and she gave him a nod, he chuckled. Since their parents died and Theo became Alpha of the Moon Shine pack, Theo has been the only parent Tessa knew. They were years apart in age but it was difficult to notice because they acted like a couple of most times. Tessa could feel that her shifting was close, but what she wasn't sure of is when it would take place.
Few minutes later
Theo ran using his alpha strength, he was getting close to the riverside. He felt a mixture of anger and excitement. The former was understandable but the latter was what he couldn't understand. Rogues caused the death of his parents, he was always angry and irritated by the sight of them and does not hesitate to rip their heads off. But why was he excited? He sensed a sweet smell of vanilla, it was almost intoxicating and it got stronger as he ran. Then he stopped and he realized something. The smell, the excitement, the pull, all this could only mean one thing. His mate was close by. Does that mean she was at the scene of the attack with rogues? The thought made him run faster. The smell got stronger.
He saw Carter fighting off a rogue. He could feel his canine coming out as he was shifting. He shifted into a big black wolf. In his wolf form, the smell was stronger. She was here somewhere. He had to find her. He hated rogues and it took him no time to jump on one and ripped his neck. He growled loudly and jumped on another. He showed no mercy, how dare they enter his territory. Then he saw her. She was in her wolf form. A brown wolf, almost the same size as him. He froze. Mate. His wolf said in his head. She was beautiful, strong, and fearless. He had found his mate. He saw Colton and Beta Carter's wolf charging against her.
"Don't touch her." He mind-linked his beta.
"WHAT!!!." Carter was shocked.
"I said don't touch her." Theo growled.
"Alpha, she's the leader. We need to kill her before..." Colton couldn't finish his statement.
"She's my mate, don't you dare." Theo mind linked them and growled again.
"You've got to be kidding me Theo. SHE'S. YOUR. WHAT!!!" Carter asked barring his canine at the she-wolf.
"My mate, Carter." He mind linked looking straight at her pitch-black eyes now turning a deep blue. Suddenly, everything stopped around him, it was like just the two of them in the world. A pair of green eyes stared deeply into a pair of blue ones. He felt like saying something to her. He knew she had known that he was her mate but why wasn't she doing anything to show it or acknowledge him, she just stood and stared back at him. He whined. Then she did something a wolf who had just met a mate wouldn't do. She took a step back, then another.
"Theo, she's getting away." Carter called but Theo ignored him. He whimpered and tries to take a step forward at her but she growled, a sign that he should stay back.
"Mate is leaving." Theo's wolf said in his head. The rest of her gang that survived came behind her, she growled one last time and took off, with the gang following behind her.
Allison's POV
Few minutes earlier
I felt exhausted, I couldn't wait to get home. We've been walking for almost an hour but stopping wasn't an option. We were rogues, it was unacceptable for us to be seen in a pack. We were seen as a threat to the lives of other wolves. The lives of rogues meant nothing. Well, you can't blame them, rogues are always aggressive and no one would surrender themselves to be killed by some pack warriors without having to defend themselves. Deep down, I wished things were different. I wanted a pack, a family, a place where you are ruled with love and not fear. I remembered what happened a few minutes ago at Midnight Pack and I turned to face Jake.
"You shouldn't have done that, Jake." I said slightly getting angry. Jake had attacked a young wolf at Midnight pack for no reason.
"And why." Jake asked, not seeing anything wrong with what he did.
"It was a young and harmless wolf, Jake, it was totally unnecessary," Allison said, trying to make Jake see the reasons.
"What should I have done huh, hug him? Hahahaha, very funny. We are rogues Allison in case you've forgotten, we don't make friends, he should be lucky he's still alive. Do you think Will will be happy when he finds out you're protecting them?" Jack yelled.
"I am not protecting anyone and don't you dare talk to me in such manner." I said and turned to face Jack.
"And who are you to tell me what and what not to do. You are not our leader, Will only put you in charge because you're his favorite." Jack yelled again and I was ready to retort back but I was interrupted.
"Can you guys stop arguing already, I'm hungry and tired, and I wouldn't like a headache to be added to it." Liam said behind us.
"Well, in that case, we need to rest somewhere. Moon Shine pack is just a few minutes away." Jack said and started walking ahead.
"We shouldn't go into another territory. Let's just manage till we get home, it's not safe to go into another territory." I said but they all ignored me.
"Come on Allison, we are not attacking anyone. We just want to rest for a few minutes before continuing." Liam said.
"I found a river." Jake called out and everyone ran toward his voice. I noticed we were in another territory, which must be the Moon Shine Pack Jake spoke of earlier. We all drank to our fill, honestly, it was refreshing but I was starting to feel weird.
"We need to leave now." I said getting a glare from Jake and a few others.
"We need to rest Allison, and it doesn't look like they're any pack warriors here." Jake defended.
"Jake, we've rested enough, now let's get going before someone sees us." I said again but he didn't listen. As I was about to take my leave, a man came out of the bush with a few warriors.
"Rogues, what are you doing in our territory." The man asked, there was a little authority in his voice but not that of an alpha, a Beta I guess. I stepped forward and said.
"We are leaving already, we just ..." I started to say but I was interrupted.
"No, we are not." Jake said. The guy wouldn't stop annoying the hell out of me.
"Jake, stop it right now. I said we are leaving." I yelled, my blue eyes slightly changing.
"If you don't leave in peace, you'll have to leave in pieces." The man growled. Wait what!!! Before I could comprehend what was happening, Jake and the other wolf had shifted making our opponent shift too. I had no choice but to shift into my big brown wolf. Our opponents were shocked because my wolf was bigger than a normal she-wolf, it was always the expression of anyone seeing my wolf for the first time. In a few minutes, our resting place became a war zone.
After some time, I started feeling uneasy, something wasn't right. I saw Liam fighting with the man that had spoken with us earlier, and in an instant, the wolf ripped out his head. I growled so loudly, I was sure my eyes had turned black. I charged at one of our opponents, sinking my canine into his neck, he gave a loud cry. I turned to attack another wolf but a pair of green eyes stopped me. I didn't know why, but I wanted to get lost in them. It was a big black wolf, almost the same size as me but bigger, I now noticed his scent. He smelt really nice such that I couldn't decipher if it was Lemon or something else, and god I wanted more of it. He didn't stop staring at me and somehow his eyes calmed my wolf and I could feel my eyes changing to their deep blue color. I wanted to go to him but I couldn't. I saw the man who had killed Liam and another wolf coming toward me and I was ready to defend myself, but I noticed the wolf that had been staring at me stopped them like they were taking orders from him. Is he the alpha? When he noticed I wasn't coming to him, he whined. This only meant one thing, he is my MATE.
I had to leave now. I growled, calling for the rest of the rogues. I turned and ran like I had never run before.
I ran with the rest of the gang, I didn't stop. I had earlier felt him chasing me but he stopped when he got to the end of his territory. I heard him howl so loud that my heart skipped a beat.
"You left our mate." My wolf said to me. I didn't say anything to her, I just focused on running. Finally, a familiar building came into sight. We ran into our home and closed the door. I shifted immediately into my human form. I was panting, not because of running but because I didn't understand why my mate had to be the Alpha of the Moon Shine Pack.
"Allison, Will would like to see you now." Jake said interrupting my thought. I turned to him, my anger resurfacing.
"Do you know Liam is dead? And it's all your fault?" I said moving close to him.
"He was a young pup who didn't know how to defend himself. How is it my fault, we were only resting before they came out of nowhere, they attacked us first." Jake yelled.
"I told you not to go there, but you refused. When would you learn to stop being a selfish brat." I yelled back.
"I don't take orders from you Allison." Jake said looking straight into my eyes. In a second using the energy I had left, I turned him over and pressed his hands behind his back such that his face was pressed against the wall.
"If you ever challenge me again, especially in front of the others, I would teach you a lesson you wouldn't forget in a hurry." I said in a low voice.
"Let go Allison." Jake said. I could see anger and jealousy in his eyes. He knew I was stronger than him and there was nothing he could do about it. He was jealous that Will always spoke to me about almost everything. He puts me in charge most time rather than him. After a few seconds of holding him close enough to the wall, I let him go.
"You'll regret this." He said and walked out. I heaved a sigh and walked towards Will's office. I knocked on the door, I heard a reply to come in. I walked into the office, Will had his back to me. The office was small, it only had two chairs and a board where he pins down the things he wants to note down.
"Will? You called." I said.
"My darling Allison." He said turning his seat. "Jake told me all that happened today. You did well." Wait WHAT!!! "Moon Shine Pack attacked us for no reason and killed our members. We wouldn't let them go free, would we?" He asked.
"No that was not ..." I tried to explain but I didn't know exactly what Jake had told him, plus I was a little scared of him.
"Oh my dear, don't worry. We would give them a chance to relax first, we won't do anything immediately. When the time is right, we would get them exactly where we want them." Will said smiling, probably enjoying his imagination of taking down a pack.
"We were in their territory, they wouldn't have attacked if we had just gone straight home." I said. Will got up from his seat. He moved slowly towards me, I bent my head not wanting to see if he was fine with what I said or not. He held my cheeks and lifted them such that I was looking straight at him.
"Are you defending them?" Will asked.
"I ...I ... no..." I stuttered. I felt a stinging pain on my cheek. He looked at me for a while, and then he dropped his hand.
"Good" He said. "Go freshen up." He ordered. Will is the leader here, no one questions him. His order must always be obeyed no matter what. Making Will angry comes with consequences, this is the side of Will I fear most. Though he puts me in charge most times because of my strength he doesn't hesitate to show me who's in charge whenever things go wrong or when Jake carries out one of his mischievous acts which eventually gets me to a problem, one of which he just did now.
I left the office in a hurry to get to my room. The minute I got there, I burst into tears. I might be strong physically but most times my emotions do get the best of me. I was tired of being a rogue, I wanted to be a normal she-wolf. I was tired of being abused, I wanted to be appreciated and loved. I started yearning for the company of a mate. My mate. He's the Alpha of Moon Shine Pack, I don't know what he looks like in human form but I'm certain he's gorgeous. I smiled to myself mentally. I couldn't take my eyes off his green eyes. I could see that he wanted me to come to him but I could just run to him in the middle of a fight. His pack members were there and rogues too were there and it would have been an odd sight and an interesting one for someone like Jake. I wish I was a normal wolf, but I was not. I am a rogue. What do alphas do to rogues? They kill them. Will he kill me? I thought to myself.
"You're his mate Allison, he can't kill you. It's forbidden." My wolf said to me.
"But he's an alpha. We have nothing in common. I just want a normal life." I said to her.
"Go to him." My wolf said.
"I can't do that. If Will gets to know that I have a mate, he might harm me." I told her.
"He is your mate Al... you can't ignore the mate bond forever, you already met him. She pointed out. Then a thought came to me.
"Then we would have to reject each other. I would reject him and he would do the same." I said to her, the thought of it breaking my heart.
"You would do no such thing Allison. Don't be selfish, I need his wolf too." She said.
"This isn't about being selfish. I can't be his Luna. I'm not Luna material. I'm also doing this for him, what would his pack say when they find out that his mate is a rogue." I asked.
"I think you should leave that to him to worry about." She said.
"Please, don't make this difficult for me. My life will be in danger if Will finds out, this might even put our mate in danger too." I said to her. I didn't even know his name, I don't need to know. This is the best time to reject him, now that I know absolutely nothing about him. When a mates meets each other for the first time, three things can happen. Acceptance, Rejection, or Mating. I'll be doing the second, Rejection. When he pronounces the rejection, the mate bond cuts off, it may take time but we would feel nothing for each other. Though this happens in rare cases and this would be one of them.
"I'll reject him tonight. I'm going back to his pack." I decided.
Theo's POV
I stood at the end of my territory still in my wolf form, I couldn't believe I had finally found my mate but she ran away from me. I howled. It was painful. Did she run because she is a rogue? I don't care about that, I just want her to know that I'll be here for her no matter what. I wish she would at least talk to me. I need her by my side. I couldn't stop thinking of those blue eyes for over an hour that she left. I'll find her. I have to.
"Alpha, the Alpha of Midnight pack is at the pack house waiting for you." My Beta Carter mind linked me.
"I'll be there soon, please make him comfortable." I ordered through the link.
"Yes, Alpha." He said
"Carter?" I called.
"Yes?" He answered.
"Can you please keep it a secret. I wouldn't want the pack to know I met her just yet, also tell Colton." I said.
"Yes, Alpha. That's not a problem." He replied.
"Theo?" Carter called. He mostly calls me by my name whenever he wants to sound casual. "Are you ok?" He asked. Sensing his worry, I heaved a sigh and said to him.
"I'll be fine Carter. I just need some air. Please tell Alex I'll be home soon." I replied,
"Alright." He said and the link with blank.
I shifted to my human form and started walking back to the pack house. I never imagined our first meeting to be like this. But I was grateful that I found her. I was sure she'll be beautiful in human form, I wish I could see her again.
I was deep in thought and didn't notice that I had gotten to the pack house until Alex called my attention.
"You look sick, like someone had just collected your sweet." I looked up and saw Alex and Ashley his mate sitting under a tree in front of the pack house. Was it that obvious? I thought to myself.
"What's up man." I said and gave him a handshake. "Hey, Ash." I waved at his mate and Luna.
"Hey, Theo." She greeted back.
"Looking pretty" I said. She blushed, making Alex growl. She stood on her toes and kissed him on the cheek I fake a cough to catch their attention.
"I'll be inside with Tessa, you boys take care ok." Ashley said.
"Yes ma'am," I said smiling. I sat down where Ashley was sitting and Alex took his initial sit.
"I heard you were attacked, I'm so sorry man." Alex said patting my shoulder.
"Yeah thanks," I said looking down at my toes.
"What's going on with you, you've been trying to fake it but you don't look good." Alex pointed out. I knew he would notice my mood. We've been friends since childhood, we have so many memories together and told each other everything. The first time he met his mate, we celebrated like we had both met our mate. The thought of his mate, made me remember what happened earlier. I wish I could do the same right now.
"Ooooouch!!!" I felt a slap on my back. Alex's doing.
"Why the hell did you do that?" I asked rubbing the place to soothe the pain.
"I've been calling you for the past one hour and you zoned out. What are you think about? Wait, did you get someone pregnant?" He said jokingly. "Congrats man, you're going to be a father soon." He said laughing.
"You're really crazy." I said shaking my head. "There's something I need to tell you though." I said this time with my voice low.
"What could that be." Alex asked.
"I found my mate." I said and I saw his expression and I knew what was coming, so I had to stop him.
"Wait!!! Calm down, Alex." I told him.
"Calm down? Why the hell are you saying it calmly, we need to celebrate. That's great news Theo." Ale x said. He was trying to contain his excitement.
"She ran away." I said in a sad tone.
"She did what. Where did you find her." Alex whispered. I raked my fingers in my hair. He waited for me to calm down.
"I saw her when I went in search of the rogues. She's a rogue, not like it matters to me but she looked like she didn't want me, Alex. I don't even know her name. One moment she was here and the next she was not." I said getting teary, finding a mate was the biggest part of a wolf's life, especially an alpha.
"Hey, it's ok. She'll come back to you, she's your mate." Alex said trying to console me.
"I'll find her. No matter what it will take me. I'll find her." I said, meaning every single word.
Allison's POV
I had to get this rejection over and done with and I can't get rejected without meeting my mate. This means I would need to go to his pack. I think it would be safe to go this time because I'm in my human form, and the only person that would recognize me would be my mate. All I needed to do was, wait for nightfall and then try to sneak out, hoping no one would see me. When it was night and I was sure everyone was starting to settle in for the night, I change from my pajamas to a blue floral gown. I tiptoed till I got to Will's office, I placed my ear on the door to be sure he wasn't there. I heard nothing, he must have gone to sleep. Thank goodness. Everywhere was dark and quiet, just like every other night here. It wasn't comfortable but we managed what we had and hope to stay alive to see more.
It was really tough opening the front door, I tried to do it as quietly as possible so as not to wake anyone. When I got out, the fresh air welcomed me and I knew the first stage of my mission was successful. I tried to trace how we got home earlier today and I started walking, alone. Somehow I wasn't scared, the thought of seeing my mate again kept me occupied. I had mixed feelings, I felt excited that I would see those green eyes again and even see him in his human form. I also felt sad that it would be the last time and immediately reminded myself why I was doing this. I'm not just doing it for myself alone but also for him.
The natural smell of a river swept across my nostrils and I knew I was close to Moon Shine Pack. I kept walking, following my smell sense, and in no time I saw the river. The river brought back memories of what happened earlier that day and I remembered Liam, poor pup. I didn't know where the pack house would be, so I trusted my instincts. Thankfully, they were no pack warriors yet at the border, I wondered why. I saw some men, probably on their way back from hunting. I kept walking and in no time I saw someone again and this time I was stopped.
"Hey, who's there?" The person called out.
"Hi!!!" I said. Not knowing what else to say. He came out of the dark and I saw him fully. He was a tall lanky guy. He looked at me from head to toe and asked again.
"Who are you and what are you doing out here by this time of the night? Didn't you hear that it's not safe to walk alone at this time?" He said. I was surprised that a total stranger cared about my safety, something I had not experienced in a long time. Who cares if a rogue is safe or not? "Hey, I'm talking to you." He said louder, getting my attention.
"Eeeeeeeem, my name is Allison and I'm looking for the pack house." I said, hoping he would ask any further questions.
"Why are you looking for the pack house." He asked once again, folding his hands.
"I..I..I have a message for the Alpha." I said. "It's really urgent" I added. I don't know how good the lie which wasn't really a lie was because the guy kept staring at me. Yes, it wasn't a lie literally because I had a message for him and an urgent one at that.
"Follow me." That was the next thing I heard. I followed him like a lost sheep, it was weird that the pack was quiet and I got curious as to why.
"Why is the pack so quiet?" I asked, hoping he wouldn't ignore me and he didn't.
"We were attacked by rogues this morning. Though no one died but few warriors were injured. Rogues have been attacking packs here and there, so Alpha Theo ordered everyone to stay indoors once it's nightfall, for their own safety." He said. "I also heard, he hasn't given the order for the warriors to watch the border, that's really weird and suspicious if you ask me." He added. I wonder why he would do that too. "We are here." He said. I saw a mansion that was way bigger than where I lived. It was beautiful even though it was dark, with my wolf sight I could still see in the dark.
"Hey pup, she's here to see the Alpha." The guy said and I looked to see he was talking to a younger wolf. He looked like a guard,
"Who's she." The guard questioned. Oh my, this is going to be more difficult than I thought.
"She said she has an urgent message for the Alpha, just let her in." the tall guy said.
"I can't "just" let her in, this is the Pack House. Moreover, she's a stranger." The guard said, using his fingers to mark the quotation sign in the air, which looked girly to me.
"Can you stop being a difficult pup and let the lady in." The tall guy said again, growling lowly.
"What's going on here?" I heard a really nice male voice, making me look in his direction. I met with a pair of green eyes, the same green eyes and I knew it was him. He was even more handsome than I had imagined. He had an elegant aura around him, he had a captivating effect. He walked towards us with confident strides, and that was when I knew he was looking at me all along. Seeing him clearer now, I saw his muscular arms bulging out of his shirt. When he noticed me checking him out, he gulped making his adam's apple go up and then down. My wolf was dancing with joy already.
"Alpha!!!" Both the tall guy and the guard said, bowing their heads in respect.
"I asked a question." My mate said, not taking his eyes off me.
"Alpha, she has an urgent message for you but he wouldn't let her in." The tall guy said making the guard glared at him.
"It's fine." My mate said. "Come in." He said again sounding like a plea, this time speaking directly to me. Before my brain could process the command, my legs were already moving. I followed him like a lost puppy and we both walked saying nothing to each other. I was intimidated by his aura but I was more anxious about how he'll take what I was about to say. He opened a door a made way for me to go in. I entered and realized he brought me to his office. I was amazed by how big his office was.
"You came back." He said, his voice now calm and soothing. He took a step toward me and I took a back, he took another step and I repeated the action. He frowned.
"Why are you running from me?" He asked. I could hear the sadness in his voice. I didn't reply, I only stared at my feet. "What's your name?" He asked.
"Allison." I replied, still avoiding his gaze.
"Allison." He repeated. I loved the way my name rolled from his lip. "I was going to find you anyway, even if you hadn't come. I didn't give the order for the warrior to guard the border just in case you would want to come back, and you did" I looked up to meet his gaze. How could he take such a dangerous decision for me. He brought his hands to my face and grazed my face slowly. My pupils dilated enjoying the feeling of his touch. I leaned in and he chuckled, making me realize how he affected me.
"Look Theo, I..." I started to speak but he cut me short.
"How do you know my name?" He asked. I realized I didn't ask him for his name.
"I kind of heard that guy calling you Alpha Theo." I said, referring to the guy who brought me to the pack house.
"I'll tell Tessa to prepare a room for you for tonight." I felt a little jealous hearing another female's name coming from him.
"Eeeeem, there won't be any need for that. I'll be leaving soon." I said and he frowned. He noticed he has a habit of frowning when something he's not pleased with happens.
"Why?" He asked.
"I need you to reject me, Theo." I said, feeling hurt by every word. He took a step back, his hands falling from my face. "Look, I can't be your mate, I'm a rogue. What will your pack say? This..." I tried to explain but it seemed that made him angry because he raked his fingers in his hair.
"My pack? What has my pack got to do with you being my mate? He asked "and I don't f*cking care if you're a rogue." He added.
"My life would be in danger, and yours too." I said, trying to make him understand but he wasn't taking any of it. He started pacing the office. "Please, reject me, Theo, I'm begging you." I pleaded. He growled and threw some papers on the floor making his well-organized office become a mess. I shivered. I didn't expect his reaction to being this bad. I stood close to the wall watching him have a mental breakdown.
"Theo?" I called trying to see if I can calm him down but he didn't respond. In a split second, he turned and held my face in his hand and before I could speak, he captured my lips with his. I gasped and his tongue slipped into my mouth. the kiss was gentle but demanding and nothing as I have ever experienced. Every inch of my body was responding to it and I found myself gripping his hair to pull him closer. He pulled away to look deep into my eyes, his eyes glowing with passion.
"I would never reject you Allison." He said in a hoarse voice. "I know you're scared but I promise, we'll take things slow. I want to know you, Allison. Please stop running away from me. I really want to be with you, I've not stopped thinking of you since we met earlier today." Theo said and I was dumbfounded, but he wasn't done. "I've not told anyone you're my mate except Carter and Colton during the fight and my best friend Alex. I don't care if you're a rogue, I don't even see you as one, all I see is a beautiful female that is my mate and that's all that matters. Allison please give me a chance." He said again.
"I...I... want you too but I'm scared Will would probably kill me if he gets to know that I have a mate." I said. "I've been living with him for a long time and I..."
"Then come and live with me. Be my Luna." He said
"What!!!" I said, not believing what I was hearing.
"Please baby, don't say no. I need you more than ever right now." He said holding my face in his palm once again. He was asking me to live with him, to be his Luna. He wanted to know me.
"Theo, I can't." I said.
"Yes, you can just say yes." He said pleading with those green eyes I had come to love.
"I need some time to think about it, please." I said
"Ok it's fine. I'll wait for you. Promise you'll always come to see me." He said.
"It will be difficult but I'll try." I said and he smiled. He leaned in, brushing my nose with his. He nibbled my lips and I gasped for the second time, this was a whole new feeling for me and I couldn't wait to explore it.
"Theo, are you there?" a voice said and the door came wide open. The girl looked shocked. She looked from Theo to me and me to him.
"Hey baby girl" Theo said and I felt jealous for the second time in a short while. Who was she? Is Theo cheating on me already?
