Chapter 1

The day was finally here, the day that

she had been waiting for, she still finds it hard and difficult to believe that her big sis will be getting married today of all days, how long she had been waiting for it.

Tessa was the most excited one among them because she was the one getting married and not only that she was getting married to the love of her life and that made her very happy, she had never gotten this kind of feeling her entire life today a new chapter of her life was going to open and she couldn't wait to start living with her husband, the thought of it alone was just eating deep into her she felt like screaming out loud.

Penelope watched as her elder sister got dressed in her hot white wedding gown, she didn't know how she was going to approach her, this was her first-time being inside the mansion, while she just stood and watched, she didn't want to intrude because she knew that her presence wasn't needed here, and seeing her here could annoy them.

She looked at the four of them as they giggled amongst themselves leaving her behind but that never seemed to stop her. She was already used to being treated this way, so there was no way that she was going to let this happen to her, she was already in.

" What are you doing here ?" A cold hard voice said to her and that made her stop on the spot and raising her head she met the coldest and hardest glare that she had ever seen In her entire life.

Penelope glumped slightly as she thought of what she was going to say the glare of her two eldest sisters and her younger sister was killing her she didn't know how to approach them, though she was their sister her parents had never treated her like one she's always been treated as an outcast and she living in the maid's mansion with them

"Can't you speak don't tell me you suddenly lost your voice " her younger sisters asked her angrily

Peni wanted to glare at her but she found out that she couldn't she just didn't have the nerves to.

"Penelope" her eldest sister Tessa called and then she turned to face her with those pleading looks

"I just wanted to ask if I could attend your wedding, you know that I had never left the mansion for once, I had even schooled here and all that but that's not the case here, I know that you don't like me but that doesn't matter to me at the moment, I know that none of you like me because you find me weird but that's not a problem, I just want to ask for your permission on this, please just let me go to your wedding, I just want to see the outside for once, please big sis I know that even though you don't like me I know that you have something soft in you please just ask dad and mom to let me go out just for today please " she begged to look at her sister.

Tessa stared at the girl that she had grown to hate so much, of a truth she didn't like her and she didn't know why she hated her but she knew it was because of her beauty, the fact that she was a younger sister but yet she was the most beautiful of them all, she had those blue eyes and blonde hair and to top it she was sexier than all of them and that was why their parents didn't let her go out but instead they just locked her inside the house.

" Sis please "Penelope's voice came out.

She wanted to tell her to go but she knew that she couldn't send her off just like that, the eyes were going to hunt her dreams.

" You can one along " she finally voiced out and the next moment she felt someone so heavy jump on her.

" I promise you, sis, I promise you that you wouldn't regret it, " she said and pulled away softly.

" You go get dressed, , can't believe that you will be going with us, you are going to disgrace us there, " Clara one of her sisters said angrily.

" I promise you I won't do anything stupid, " she told her sister and with that, she rushed out of the room.

Peni raced down the stairs to her room in the maid's quarter, her heart was beating so fast, this was the first time that she was going to go out after 18 years.

She had seen the way her sister Clara stared at her and how Tracy looked at her, she knew that they didn't want her with them and one thing she didn't understand was why her siblings hated her so much but that wasn't the topic now she was going out today.

"What did they say? " Luna asked her the moment she rushed in.

" She agreed, she agreed to let me go with them Luna and for the first time in my life I will be going out" she screamed with excitement written all over and Luna rushed and hugged her tightly.

Luna had been the only best friend that peni had in her entire life, she was the daughter of the head maid and also her age mate, her mom had been the one caring for her and so for her not to be bored she brought in her daughter, Luna had been the one who been teaching her everything that she needed since day one and she knew that she couldn't take that for granted, Luna taught her everything that she needed to know about boys and the outside world.

" So I am going to get my queen dressed and make sure that my best friend steals the attention from her sister. I just can't wait to see the look on your sister's face when you finally show them what you got. '' Luna told her excitedly.

"Hey Luna, can you please just stop it'' Peni whispered gently as she sat at the dressing table. The two had already gotten everything set as if they knew that she was going to attend and that was why they did all of this.

" Tell me what the world looks like, you know that I am just so excited right now you can't blame me though, " Peni told Calmly.

" you don't have to worry sweetheart when am done you won't Believe your bestie did this to you.

Luna was already done with her makeup and with that, she pulled peni from the chair And took her to the mirror to look at herself.

Penelope's mouth fell open the moment she saw her reflection, she couldn't believe that she was the timid girl but why did she look so mature in the picture, this was way more than she had expected.

luna had a smile of satisfaction when she saw the look on her friend's face.

"you shocked right ?" Luna asked her, smiling

"'Am beyond shocked, but thanks so much best, " she replied

" Hey you better don't cry and ruin your makeup or you are going to get it hot from me young lady, " Luna told her and she smiled showing her beautiful white set of teeth.

Luna walked to the chair and picked up the gown. It was just a pink long floral gown and her back was slightly open it had some beautiful designs on it that made it look very beautiful.

" Don't tell me you don't like your new self " Luna asked her as she looked at herself in the mirror.

I look like Barbie and I just can't believe that this is me, like just all of this is weird but even though I love it " she told her she was just so happy right now.

" I would be at the wedding Because I am attending with my mom, do well to look for me. I will be keeping a seat for you " Luna told her and with that, she nodded and ran out of the house.

Everyone stopped on the track the moment she ran out of the house, no one wanted to believe that this was the girl that had always been bullied, she looked so beautiful and the bride wasn't as beautiful as her.

"And where do you think that you are going to ?"Peni's mom's voice came and she stopped right on her track as she looked to her sister for help.

Mom, I told her that she should come along, you know it's just a one-day thing and she will be back, " Tessa said after the long stare.

Peni could feel her heart thumping hard as she thought of what her mom was going to say about it, she just couldn't wait for all this to be over.

" you know what, you can just come in for today but next time there's no way that I am letting her out of the house " her mom replied looking so angry.

"Thanks so much, mom " peni said as she rushed to hug her, she didn't know why she was just so excited at the moment.

" Get your hands off me " her mom screamed at her and Peni looked away.

Peni looked at the woman that she had grown to call her mother, she never showed her even one single affection. She has always been from day one and she was just sick and tired of all this drama for the moment she wished that all of this could end.

" You better just go to that church and sit in one spot if you ever do anything to spoil the image of this family, trust me when I say that I am going to ta you through hell.

"You don't have to worry mom, I will be on my best behavior " she replied smiling.

" Let's go, sweetheart, you don't want your groom to be waiting for so long. '' She heard her mom say but the moment she tried taking a step towards the car her mom shut the door on her face.

" You can come with the guards, I don't want you disgracing us and one thing, don't tell anyone that you are our child, or else you are going to have yourself to blame, " her mom told her and nodded her head sadly she watched as they all rode out of the compound leaving her behind and to her fate, this was just one of the things that she hated so much.

Peni walked back to the maid's quarter and there was her best friend already dressed and prepared for the marriage.

" Why did you come back, or did they send you back ?" Luna asked worriedly.

" Mom said I should go with you guys but it's okay, we are just going to take public transport, " she told Luna.

" Oh goodness, I got so worried thinking that you weren't going to attend anymore but one thing I know for sure for the fact is that my makeup isn't going to be ruined I know that you must attend let's go, " Luna told that she started dragging her out of the house until they got to the roadside where they boarded a public transport.

Peni was surprised by the things she saw, this was the first time she saw different people of different ages and young girls like her she also different boy, what she didn't understand was why her parents kept on holding her in that god damn house, like what do they take her for, she was just sick she tired of all it.

" Oh my goodness, I just can't believe that Tessa is getting married to my crush heaven knows that I loved that man, " Luna said silently And peni giggled.

She had only seen Tessa's fiancé once and it was a mistake. she could remember the way his brown eyes pierced into her soul the moment their eyes met and she had heard her parents saying that he was a very popular and powerful CEO, well she doesn't dream to meet him again because she doesn't want to get involved with anything concerning her family, she was done with them.

" We are here already, " Luna told her and started dragging her out while the people murmured, she could hear them saying that she was too beautiful to be real but that was not her business seeing the big building in front of her she couldn't help but smile, this was the first time she was going to a church.

The moment she came out of the cab, she had noticed the way everyone was staring at her but she didn't mind

The moment the girls walked into the church all the attention suddenly turned to them and most especially it was peni, no one had seen anyone with such high class of beauty it was just as if she had just fallen to this earth from another world and mere looking one could tell that she was just so innocent and the looks could be seen in her eyes.

The girls didn't mind the gaze they got from the audience. All they just wanted was a sit and the fact that the church was already filled made it hard for them but it seems like luck was on their side as they found an empty chair to sit on.

" Let's sit there "Luna whispered to her ears and she nodded and walked towards the chair and the both of them sat down.

"I told you peni, the moment am done dressing you up, you are going to be getting all the attention from the world, I won't be surprised if your pictures start being everywhere, you know what will happen then, my friend will be one so Popular, " Luna told her happily.

" I hope you can keep on dreaming, " Peni replied, looking away. She was just so shy.

She could see the way the guys stared at her and she found it weird and uncalled for like she didn't understand why they were just staring at her as they had never since a girl in their entire lives.

" You look good " she heard someone whisper to her ears and her body trembled, turning to her back she found that it was a guy, she didn't understand what was going on and the next thing that she could do was grab Luna's hands, making her shocked.

"What's wrong ?" Luna asked, looking at her friend.

"I don't like the way the guys keep on staring at me like it's just so weird " she replied trying to calm herself down but instead of talking to her, she burst into uncontrollable laughter making everyone turn in their direction and looked t them weirdly.

" you are such a psychopath " peni replied but their discussion was cut short by a loud sound of a trumpet looking at her back she saw her sister with her husband holding their hands while her sister Clara held her gown she was the maid of honor, she smiled as she thought about her wedding but then she could notice the uneasy look on the face f the groom, he looked like he was searching for someone and the moment his eyes fell on her and she could see the soft smile on his lips.

" Did you see that peni, he smiled at you " Luna murmured and giggling into her ears

"And what's so special about that? " she replied, holding her laughter because she found it funny.

" well you don't know who you are talking about, you know I can never blame you, I only blame your parents for separating you from the world, if only you know how many girls are dying to get that smile, your sister is very lucky to have him as a husband " Luna replied smiling.

" She must be lucky then but I don't care anymore " Peni replied, looking at the alter

The wedding ceremony started almost immediately as they got there and everyone seemed so happy but not until the priest brought out the ring and gave it to both of them.

Peni could see the way the man hesitated before taking the ring.

" did you see that "'Luna asked Calmly "

" See what, " she replied, looking at her.

Well, I don't want to remind you but I have this feeling that something bad is going to happen today, right here and right now but I don't know how but I can already feel it " Luna told her but peni didn't mind, she didn't care if anything bad happens that was not her business at the moment and not only that she knew that nothing was going to go wrong with the ceremony

The whole church was suddenly filled to the bin the moment they were about to take the vows and cameras were flicking everywhere.

"Do you Tessa Chris take Jeffery nika to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to cherish him, in sickness and in health, to stand by him through all difficulties and situations and until death do you apart ?" The priest asked, looking at her sister.

"'I do' ' her sister replied with a very sweet smile on her face, she was just totally losing it.

It was just so sudden and quick and everyone could feel it.

She could see the way everyone in the church suddenly screamed, it seemed that they were all shocked by what they had just heard.

" What's going on Jeff, what do you mean you can't continue anymore ?" Tessa asked obviously at the point of tears.

" Tessa it's not as if I can't marry you, you are a very nice girl and I want what is best for but the truth is that this marriage can't go on and that's Because I'm already married and my wife is sitting right here in the congregation, even though she's a young girl or a minor I don't want her to go through pains, I love her and I just want to spend the rest of my life with her, " the guy told her and I could see the way Tessa cling on to him she was still finding it so hard to believe that something was happening to her, even her dad and my sisters were shocked and they had all stood up.
