LAW OF AFFECTION

<9AM> In ALS(America Law School),The hostels are built in mansions. The girls hostel mansions are in the West part of the school while the boys hostel mansions are on the other side which is the East side. The mansions are named according to the colors they are built with and they are quite far from the school main buildings. In the mansion,consists of three suites each for three students. Inside the Cherry mansion,only Vanessa and her best friend,Gigi stays there. The third girl was a senior who left about three months ago leaving just the two friends to take over the space.

Vanessa was dancing along to the music playing while she dressed up "I want it,I get it,I want it I get it!! Oh yeah!!!" She adjusted her mini skirt which hardly reached her thighs in front of the mirror with her usual seductive smile which only shows when she's inside. Everyone knows Vanessa as the girl with the cold face,she never smiles except when necessary,but when she's by herself,she's a different person. Erasing everything off her mind,she started the car and turned on the music,she can't do without it anyway. After the ten minutes drive,she entered the school parking lot and stopped her car. Suddenly they heard the alarm and all the cameras in the court room where turned on,meaning their supervisors are watching them from the project room. Everyone took their seats immediately and two guys dressed in the police custumes entered,pulling in a guy who was wearing the prisoner outfit inside. His hands were cuffed while they led him into the dock and then locked it. Vanessa and Becky took their positions also,both sitting opposite each other with their respective files on the table. 🔊 Is everything ready They heard from the megaphone,it's the voice of one of their supervisors. "The judge isn't here" Angelique spoke up 🔊Who's the judge? Another voice came "Valentino" Everyone chorused and Vanesaa rolled her eyes 🔊Then,let's wait for few minutes more the voice said and silence followed "I can't believe this" Vanessa scoffed and ruffled her hair "If you're so mad about it,you can give up right now" Becky smirked "I have no time to communicate with a wide hole like you so shut up and mind your damn business unless I'm the air you breathe in" Vanessa snapped back and the students laughed. •••• The white mansion is the biggest in ALS and also the only mansion which consists of four suites, this is where Valentino and his three friends stays. The four friends were given the name..GOLDEN BOYS by the students Reed,Virgil and Terence are all playboys just like Valentino. Reed father owns the school so he's like the school prince. In Valentino's suite,on the bed was Valentino in the middle of two naked girls. Becky smiled as soon as she saw him,Valentino and Vanessa's eyes met and she glared at him hatefully,Valentino winked at her,walking toward his position "Tucker,any explanation on why you're coming by this time?" The supervisor's voice came up Valentino sat down "Sorry I had a great night" he said "Remember the rule!" Mr Kelly,the most scariest supervisor yelled out "I'm the judge not a lawyer,can we start now?" Valentino rolled his eyes and hit the gavel at once There was total silence in the courtroom after that. "Remember this holds a total of fifty marks in your coming up tests" Mr Kelly said "Yes!!" "You may start" Mr Kelly said The court reporter,Quinn took her position,ready to everything that will be happening. The court coordinator,Toby also got ready with the necessary files Then the court clerk,Erica who will be keeping records of everything. And finally the sergeant-at-arm. After the orderly forms,Becky smiled and got up stylishly, "Your honor,members of the jury,My name is Becky Blue,representing the prosecution in this case" She said and then sat down again Vanessa also got up "Your honor,members of the jury,I'm Vanessa Clark,Representing the defendant in this case" She said and also sat down. "Are you ready for the trials?" Judge Valentino asked "Yes your honor" Becky and Vanessa answered "Opening Statements" Valentino requested and Becky got up. She walked to the front and started. "Your honor,this is murder case,001. On 21st of December 2032,which is last year and about a month ago. The accused right here..." Pointed at the accused and then continued "Murdered an office partner,it was around 9pm,he stabbed the victim until she died. The accused being a criminal,ran from the scene and went home,but God so good,he was caught on camera even though his face was not exposed totally but was known to have worn the same outfit as the murderer that same day." Becky said "Do you have a witness?" Valentino questioned "Of course your honor,Miss Felicia,the receptionist who practically stays late in the office more than anybody else is here your honor,may I bring her forward?" Becky called and Sasha was brought up and entered into the dock "You may continue,Prosecutor" Valentino said "Miss Felicia,please explain to the whole court just the way you did to me" Becky said and Sasha nodded "On December 21,2032,9pm. I was in my stand but suddenly got the urge to go to visit the restroom. After using the restroom,I started walking back but was disturbed by the noise coming from another side. On getting there,I saw him,Huston stabbing the late Jeneth..." "You said you didn't see his face" Valentino said "Yes your honor,I didn't. But I can swear with everything within me that it was his back view......" "Objection your honor!" Vanessa stood up at once "Objection overruled" Valentino said without taking a single glance at her Becky smirked and Vanessa sat down,feeling so angry already "Before the murder,Huston have been making several advances toward Jeneth who always take pleasure in disgracing him publicly,I would say,this act triggered him to murder her that night" Sasha concluded and Becky smiled "Thank you Miss Felicia,you may return to your seat" Becky said Sasha left the dock and Becky faced Valentino. "Your honor,this will be my ending points for now" She bowed and returned to her seat "Defendant" Valentino called Vanessa sighed out loud,trying to calm her nerve. "From a well trusted source,The accused,Mr Huston had left his office around 7pm on that day,but here, the victim was murdered around 9pm in the office. The CCTV couldn't provide the right face of the murderer and the whole accusations were wrong from the start,are we going to say,Mr Huston came back to his office when it was 9pm just to murder late Miss Jeneth??...." "Objection your honor" Becky got up "Objection sustained....". "Your honor!" Vanessa shouted angrily "Objection.....Sustained" Valentino said again and they both began glaring at each other "Enough of the dramas,continue" One of the supervisors said and Vanessa returned to her seat,her whole palms were so sweaty already and she's trying hard to suppress her anger "Your honor,We made a deep investigation on Mr Huston. His neighbors denied seeing him home around 7pm-to 9pm your honor" Becky said and sat down again "Defendant" Valentino said and Vanessa stood up "Well I have my own witness who saw Mr Huston home even while the murder was going on,may I bring her forward?" Vanessa asked "Yeah" Valentino said and immediately Chanel came up After swearing,she started her story also <30 MINUTES LATER> The case went on and on,not without Valentino supporting and defending Becky with every point she makes while Vanessa's points made no sense to him at all. "Your honor,this is a total frame work" Vanessa said,pointing at the projector which was showing the victim and how the murderer had stabbed her "This is obviously someone else who has the same outfit as Mr Huston on...." As Vanessa ran out of the courtroom,she bumped into Giovanni. He's actually a senior student,a finalist,a class ahead of them. Vanessa asked "No,we made up our minds already" he said and they both looked up "Vanessa,your fifty marks is intact,together with your teammates" Prof Kelly said and Vanessa almost jumped up in joy "Thanks prof!" She shouted "And Valentino,you're loosing fifty mark,control your emotions next time" Prof Kelly said and Vanessa almost laughed out happily "Is that all?" Valentino asked "You should apologize at least....." "Apologize my foot" Valentino muttered and stood up "Valentino!" Prof Kelly yelled "Do you have to be punished before you do the right thing?!" He yelled and Valentino rolled his eyes "You two....may leave" Prof Kelly said after few minutes Valentino and Vanessa both left the office Not without them glaring at each other before going their different ways. •••• Valentino entered with an angry look on his face,the living room was empty. He checked the room and found no one,he walked straight to the game room and there they are playing the dartgame "Seventeen....eighteen...." Reed and Virgil counted as Terence kept on hitting the points "Twenty!!!!!"
