Kindred

A public execution.

Thit is one of the few events that makes people of Quas excited.

Today's main event is the execution of Tobias Camry, the criminal who sold out his country.

Tobias Camry is the disowned son of Eamon Camry, the Minister of Finances. His father Eamon disowned him when Tobias eloped with a maid.

Tobias was supposed to become the husband of the Eight Princess, making him the Prince Consort. In the marriage between Princess and a Noble, the Princess is the head of the family, converting a proud Nobleman into a male concubine struggling in Princess' harem.

Since young, Tobias was educated to become the next family head. Just like every man, he dreamt of cultivating to Saint Realm, obtaining military achievements and creating his own harem full of beauties. However, with the engagement with the Eight Princess all his dreams were crushed.

Tobias made up his mind. If his father could crush his dreams without batting an eye, he would do the same. He took one of the maids he fancied in his arms and ran away.

Since the King considered Eight Princess just as a cannon fodder, he punished Eamon only with wage deduction for a year.

After eloping with a maid who's name he did not know yet, he raped her on his first stop.

After three months of traveling, Tobias finally found a place to settle. He settled in the neighboring Azure Empire.

He tried to start a new life in the prosperous Azure Empire, however in Azure Empire, he was just a commoner. He was a commoner with a pregnant woman which he called 'Hey'. He didn't need to know her name, to him she was just a toy he brought along.

Working in the fields, he heard other farmers talking about the coming war between the Country of Quas and Azure Empire.

'A chance!' He thought. He was the son of Minister of Finances. He was trained to succeed his father. He knew many things Azure Empire could only guess.

Thus, Tobias and his 'new' family have become traitors to the Country of Quas.

On the day the war between two largest countries on the continent started, the maid gave a birth.

Unfortunately, she died after giving birth. Leaving Tobias with a newborn.

Once he heard the maid died, he left the baby in the care of his personnel.

After five years, the tides of the war started changing. Tobias was getting worried. If by any chance Azure Empire falls, just what fate will await him, a traitor? His mind was getting worse every day. Every day in fear that Azure Empire will lose the war.

"Hihihi~" He looked out of the window and saw a small five-year-old girl running around, happily chasing butterflies.

He gritted his teeth.

"I'm suffering here in fear of getting captured by Quas and this little shit is running around happily!" He ran out of the house, grabbed the girl by the collar and dragged her to the kitchen.

"Owie, it hurts, pwease *sniff* release me!" The little girl cried. However, Tobias who was mentally down was set on punishing this girl.

He took a knife from the drawer and without batting an eye, he mercilessly cut the girls tongue out!

After a while, "Ahh, it's finally quiet."

The girl was liked by the servants in the house so after Tobias left the kitchen, they quickly reacted and saved her life. However, she wouldn't be able to speak again, unless she receives a Sage Grade recovery pill.

The war continued and another three years passed. Azure Empire was on the brink of destruction.

Every day, Tobias would lock himself in his room and come out only to release his stress by using his maids.

He would meet the little girl now and then. For two years he didn't take a notice of her, but after the situation got worse his eyes were always searching for enemies.

He then saw the girls eyes. Her right eye was azure, just like his. But what he was concerned about, was her left eye. The violet one. It was the color of the maid he ran away with.

The girl looked at him with her violet eye filled with hate and fear, just like that maid did.

"Why are you looking at me like this!" He shouted in anger.

"You... Stop looking at me!" His voice louder than before. The girl quickly averted her gaze, however, it didn't seem like it to Tobias.

"Are you looking down at me? Okay... I will make sure you never look at me with that eye again!" He grabbed the girl and gouged her left eye with his fingers.

The girl having her tongue cut off before couldn't even scream in pain.

"That will teach you, try looking at me with that hateful eye now!"

Another two years passed.

Azure Empire has fallen. The Emperor and his bloodline wiped out. Azure Empire's Officials executed and their families enslaved.

"Get him!" A Martial Master shouted while pointing a finger a the running Tobias.

Swoosh.

Soon five Martial Apprentices surrounded him. "Traitor, surrender or die!" One of the Apprentices shouted.

Tobias bit his lip and surrendered, he had nowhere to run. He wouldn't be able to escape from a Martial Master in the first place.

He was brought before Quas' Prime Minister Leofrick Maed, a middle-level Martial Sage expert. In Quas, his strength was second only to the King.

Tobias trembled in fear, the pressure Martial Sage emitted wasn't something a Martial Apprentice like him could endure.

"Ah dear Tobias, we meet again." Leofric said in a hoarse voice.

"P, p, prime Minister"

"Do you know how Quas treats traitors?"

"I, I, I do-"

"Your family will be enslaved for 12 generations. As for you, he, he. The good ol' public execution" Leofric said while brushing his long white beard.

"Eeeee, executed..."

"That's correct, I hope you will put on a good show for your father, haha" Leofric said and walked away.

In the evening, slave traders and soldiers of Quas entered Tobias' mansion. All people in the mansion were sold to the slave traders at a cheap price. Of course, the little girl was amongst them.

On the way to the slave house, the little girl noticed many fliers advertising a public execution. She squinted her right eye and read, "Tomorrow at noon, the traitors of our Quas Empire will be publicly executed. All residents of the former Azure Empire are welcomed to watch the show"

The little girl knew that Tobias betrayed Quas. She didn't know if she should feel happy that Tobias will meet his end or sad that she couldn't do it herself.

After arriving at the Slave House, she was stripped naked, showered in cold water, dressed in rags and thrown into a cell.

The next day at noon, Tobias Camry's head was removed from his body. His head was then displayed on the city gates and his body used to feed the pigs.

With the combined force of Prime Minister and the Demonic 4th Prince, Quas was able to conquer Azure Empire. The King became Emperor, the Country of Quas became Quas Empire.

Prime Minister was rewarded, the Capital City was relocated and the Demonic Prince has vanished, like he always does.

1 year later.

A lone figure in fluffy dress is lazily strolling towards the main building of this house.

The lone figure was the Good-for-Nothing Sixth Miss of the new Prime Minister. After the war, Prime Minister Leofric stepped down from his position and his son Tristan became the new Prime Minister.

Today, he called this Good-for-nothing girl because she beat her servants senseless again.

"Father, you called?" She asked lazily.

"Meira Maed, I heard you beat your servants senseless again?" Tristan asked lovingly.

"Ahh, yes I did father. These slaves never do what I tell them when I tell them something they always answer: I do not know how. It's quite frustrating..."

"I understand that they are not up to your standards, but we can't switch your servants every week. Why don't you train them properly?"

"Old dogs can't learn new tricks." She said coldly.

"Then, why don't I sent some servants to purchase child slaves for you? You can shape them to your liking"

"Yes, that could work. Thank you father, if there's nothing else, I will take my leave"

"Go"

"Servants!"

"Yes Master"

"Go to the closest Slave House and bring few children to Meira's courtyard"

"Yes, Master!"

A middle-aged servant and three Martial Apprentices arrived at the Slave House where a fat man with a mustache welcomed them.

"Welcome, welcome. Is there anything I can do for you?" He asked while rubbing his hands together.

"Bring me to see your child slaves"

"Yes, yes. Please follow me"

The middle-aged servant was named Merek. He served Tristan since he was young.

Even though he served Tristan all his life, he still can't understand why he dotes on Sixth Miss. Tristan has 9 daughters and every one of them is more talented, beautiful and less arrogant.

Sixth Miss is engaged to the Eleventh Prince, who is only 10 years old. Eleventh Prince has no chance at succeeding the throne, so why is Tristan so doting on Sixth Miss?

First Miss is engaged to First Prince.

Second Miss is genius cultivator who reached Martial Master Realm at 17 years.

Third Miss is a disciple of Martial Overlord.

Fourth Miss is engaged to Second Prince.

And so on.

Yet Sixth Miss is Good-for-nothing with no talent in Martial Arts, her arrogant personality is known through the whole Empire. Why does he dote so much on her? Merek couldn't figure that out.

"These are all the child slaves our Slave House currently own." The fat slave trader said.

Merek looked in the cell and saw 6 children. 4 boys and 2 girls.

"They are aged between 8 and 12"

Master didn't tell me how many I should bring with me... Should I take them all? Merek pondered.

"Do you want to take a closer look?"

"No need, I will buy them all"

"Alright! Please wait a moment in the waiting room, I will quickly prepare them!" The fat slave trader said with joyous voice.

Soon, the slave trader returned with 6 children bound in chains together.

"6 child slaves, that will be 3 gold coins"

Merek tossed a bag with gold coins towards the slave trader. The slave trader looked inside and his eyes started shining.

Merek then grabbed the chains and dragged the children towards the carriage.

He soon returned back to the residence.

Merek dragged the children towards Sixth Miss' courtyard.

He then finds one of Sixth Miss' servants and tells them that he has brought the child slaves Miss wanted.

After he completed what he was told to, he quickly left from Sixth Miss' courtyard. He didn't want to stay there longer than he had to.

"Miss, the child slaves arrived." The maid said timidly.

"Great!" Sixth Miss quickly stood up and went outside.

When she arrived outside, she was greatly disappointed.

6 children. One was missing an arm, the second one was looking like he would die at any time, another one was missing an eye!

"What's is this crap!" Sixth Miss shouted.

"Miss, language..." The maid beside her said timidly.

Slap.

"Shut up! Can't you see that I'm greatly disappointed?!"

The children looked at Sixth Miss in fear.

"If you like them so much then take care of them!" Sixth Miss shouted and walked back to her room.

"......"

"Follow me." The maid with a palm-printed on her face said.

She took the children to the servant bathroom, where she scrubbed them clean, then she dressed them in servant clothes.

She then explained their work.

Days slowly passed by and Sixth Miss was in bad mood.

One of the children slaves was a slow learner and Sixth Miss couldn't take it anymore, she turned around and angrily walked towards the head servants room. She planned to send the child to the Beast Pit. Beast Pit is a coliseum where people fight against Beasts for glory and money.

"Uwa~a!"

However, on the way to head servant's room she slipped on the wet stairs and fell unconscious.

She lied there on the stone cold floor unconscious, blood flowing out from her head.

"Sixth Miss!"

It was only after 10 minutes that someone finally noticed her unmoving body on the floor.

As the servant looked on Sixth Miss' injury, his face turned ashen.

"You, call the doctor. You go inform Master and the rest of you help me move Sixth Miss on the bed!"
