It was dark, everywhere is completely dark. The last thing I had remembered was going home alongside Emma and Damon but everything else has completely faded out. A cloth was tied around my face; my hands were also tied.

"Get up, you piece of shit" Someone said before opening the door and dragging.

"This should be fun; I wonder who the mighty mate of this worthless being is?" One voice said while another laughed.

I was forced on my feet and someone pulls the cloth off my face.

"Hello sweetheart, you are about to witness the most thrilling moment of your life" The lady who pulls off the cloth said while laughing manically.

"Why don't I doll you up for most likely the last moment of your life?" She said while smiling at me making my stomach turn in disgust.

This isn't going to be good.

"Please, I think you have the wrong person, I don't know you guys and have done nothing wrong" I said quivering in fear.

"Hmm.... Poor baby, the only wrong you have done is coming into this world as a mate to an Alpha" She said and I look at her in confusion.

Am sorry but did she just say Alpha and mate?

"You seem confused, don't be. You will understand soon enough." She said before forcing me to wear a dress, a very revealing one might I add.

"What do you people want from me?" I asked as she leads me towards the stairs.

I can hear and people clamoring around and whatever they are doing, I know they are up to no good.

The lady started to push me forward to the direction of the noise.

As soon as I walk in, chatter and whistles fill my ears. I was beyond embarrassed, I was dressed in transparent clothes for many to see, I feel shivers all over my body and was trembling in fear. They made me stand in front of the podium and everything try and fall in pieces.

It is an AUCTION.

But why am I being auctioned for, why was I being sold as if I was a commodity?

Everyone around started to get noisy and excited while I was starting to feel cramped and very uneasy.

"We start at $1 million" Said the voice of the host as the bidding starts putting my face into that of shock and confusion.

Why is this happening to me?

I just want to go home and feel like all this is a dream.

"$2 million" Someone yelled making my heart race.

"$3 million" Another said and at the time, I wish the ground would just open up and swallow me.

"$5 million" Someone said and at this moment I was more than nervous, my eyes start to fill up with tears and fear of the unknown danger I am about to face and also resentment against the person or people who made me end up here.

"Brilliant" My eyes catch the attention of the man who said the word in a particular seat reserved for VIPs.

"She looks like a kitten about to bite her lord" He said with a devilish smile on his face before he raises his bidding card and said...

"50" the entire auction hall falls silent as all eyes fall on him.

If a pin drops in this hall, one would definitely hear it.

What kind of person would want to spend 50 million bid on a woman? A woman he barely knows at that

I walk into my office finding Alex and Jonathan already seated.

"Another auction is said to be stated in two days and this time around it is much more intense than the other ones" Alex said and I frowned.

"It is believed that the supposed person to be auctioned is the mate of the either of the two strongest component that is in the werewolf and mafia world." He explained.

"And we all know that it comes down to either you or Timothy" Jonathan said with an annoying smile on his face.

"And they are planning on selling this supposed person off?" I asked completely baffled.

"This is what happens when you rarely go out and never want to know about what is going on in the outside world" Alex said.

"Due to the facts that Alphas and Betas are able to sense whenever another Alpha's mate is around, the bad guys use that opportunity to sell out the mate before the other half even gets to know about him or her" Jonathan explained.

"But why sell them?" I asked with utter confusion.

"Would you like if your mate is sold to someone else and is probably beaten and raped by their owner" Alex asked and I growled.

"I guess that answers my question" he said.

"They do it in order to get on the nerves of the other Alpha and then take over their territory because they know the Alphas will be pent up with anger and can't concentrate on any battle." He said.

"We leave tomorrow in order to prepare" I said and they both nodded before leaving.

"Hey baby" Anna said as she walk over towards me.

"Anna, am not in mood for any one of your games. I told you we are done and that is it. I am never going to change my mind" I said as she tries to touch me.

"And what do I have to do in order to change your mind?. I know you obviously miss me" She said as she twirl her hair in a sexy manner.

Remind me why I decided that it was a good idea to be friends with benefit with her?.

"I already made it clear that what happened was a mistake."

"And am going to prove to you that it isn't" She said before walking away as Alex and Jonathan walk in.

"Did I ever mention how much I hate her?" Jonathan said and I groaned.

"It was a mistake" I said as I try to defend myself.

"A stupid mistake if you ask me" Alex said as he pick up an apple for himself.

"Do you think it is possible that this person is the one?" Jonathan asked as the event is about to start.

Nobody has said anything about the fact that this could be my mate, heavens only know what I would do when it turns out to be my mate.

Everywhere starts to get noisy and I look up to the podium to see a girl being brought in and instantly I get intoxicated into the most heavenly scent ever, I can't even describe the smell but all I can say is that I am infatuated by it.

And at that moment, my wolf yells the word mate while I stare into her eyes, getting lost in it.

I wasn't even paying attention to whatever the host and the people around who were bidding were doing. My attention is only focused on her until I hear....

"$5 million" Someone said bringing out the anger in me.

"Brilliant" I said as I uncover the voice of the bastard who tried to bargain my mate for $5 million.

Blood is about to spill but before that I have to get her away from this filthy set of people.

"She looks like a kitten about to bite her lord" I said in order to put away any suspicion about the fact that she is my mate.

The werewolf community and mafia community is intense and if they sense that she is my mate and human at that, they won't think twice before killing her.

"50" I said and the entire hall falls silent with my brothers smirking, already understanding the fact that she is mine.
