Jamie

Hello, my name is Jamie. I'm 22 and I live with my family. I have a brother named Billy and a sister named Callie. They are the same age, 19 years old. My mom is a hard-working woman at the children's hospital. We barely see her because of her shift hours. I wish she would take a break from work because she will tire herself out and that's not healthy. My dad is a trucker, he takes me with him sometimes to give me a break from Billy and Callie.

I'm not your typical 22-year-old, let's say I'm a stoner. I have been smoking since I was 13 years old, and nobody knows why I smoke. I don't have many friends, but the ones I do have are like me stoners, and they understand me. My friend Jasmine lives next door. She's 18 and her brother Jake is pretty cool too. He's 23. Then we all have that one crazy person as a friend. Well, my friend Jess is one of my crazy friends. She's awesome.

Then you have my crush that I still don't have the balls to ask out. We all went to school together and had fun. Now we are in college together, boy let me tell you boy it was fun. But back to reality, my brother Billy always seems to smoke my stuff instead of his, but he's a good guy when he wants to be. Billy lives in his world, what's his is his, and no sharing is allowed, that is why I hang with my friends until I find out Callie knew where I will be at.

Just my luck, my sister can be annoying at times and very needy. When she can't get her way she throws a pity party and makes me look like the bad guy, yeah, the story of my life. My mom is sweet and always tired, though sometimes I wish she would let me and dad help her out. She works so hard, she's a nurse for little kids that have special needs. I want to be like her and help kids that feel like an outcast to their family and friends.

My dad is sometimes on the road nonstop, but he takes me with him sometimes, and we have our talks and smoke a joint together. That is what I call bonding time, lol dad is the best, but we do have our moments of fights. What family doesn't have those moments? It's hard when you try to do right by your family, but I wouldn't trade my family for the world.

I learned to cherish what I have and not what I want. I learn to cherish my family because you only have one family, and to love my friends that have always been there from day one. Life can be unfair. You never know when you need your family and friends. I wish the twins were wise like me but can't fix smart asses lol, but I love them. Billy is good, just got mixed up with the wrong people that he calls friends.

Callie is just your normal drama queen that can't get her way, but I love her and my crazy-ass brother, lol, life would never be the same without them. Well, life could be worse if you had the most annoying kinfolk ever, I would rather be with the twins lol. What can I say, we are all loners here in my family. Life is too short to dwell on the past, so we live our lives to the fullest.

Today I have to go shopping for everything for college. I'm so excited. I'm going to college to major in business and creative writing. I one day want to work with kids and be a writer. But for now, I just want to start with business classes.

I was lying in my bed thinking about what I had to do today until I heard mom say it was time to get up and get my brother and sister up for school too. I got up and rolled a joint after I was done getting the twins up.

"Good morning, sunshine, time to get up for school."

They both moaning and growing, do we have as I walk out the door I turned and nodded yes. Then I walked downstairs to help mom set the plates for breakfast.

I kissed her on the cheek and went outside to smoke my wake and bake. I do this every day because I suffer from depression and ADHD. I was in my thoughts because my friend Jasmine called my name. I didn't hear her.

"Hey Jamie, how are you doing today?"

"Jamie, hello, is anyone there?"

"I'm sorry jasmine, I'm good, how are you doing today?"

"I'm good, where were you just now, you were gone for a minute?"

"I was just thinking about Missy."

"You still haven't told her about your feelings?"

"No, I don't want to scare her away."

"Jamie, she has felt the same way about you since high school."

"What are your plans for today?"

"I went to the mall to do college shopping and then went to the park and smoked a joint. Maybe I should go see Jess and Missy."

"That would be awesome, and then you tell Missy how you feel about her."

"Yeah, I think it's time that I tell her and take her out on our first date, what do you think?"

"I think that's an awesome idea, that way you both can get to know each other better."

"I do it then and make it a special night for her."

"Okey-dokey, hey, can I hit that blunt?"

"Sure, my bad for not asking where your brother is?"

"Damn ass lost my stash, and now he's looking for it. I can't have anything without him losing it."

"Hey, I'm not a dumbass, you're the one that left it lying around in the living room knowing I clean without looking."

"Lol, you two are crazy, but I love you both."

"We love you too Jamie, are you ready for college because I know I am ?"

"Hell yeah, I'm happy we are all going to the same college."

"Me too, man lol jasmine, you ready for college?"

"Hell yeah, but I'm going to miss Kayla.

"She's going to college in Colorado."

"I will miss her too, plus Billy is going to miss her more. She's been his crush since high school."

"Well, when summer comes we can go visit her and take Billy with us, maybe they have their chance."

"That's a good idea, jasmine."

"Well, I see you guys later, I got to head and clean up my room and start packing up for college."

"Okay, see you later, bro."

I went inside, to get some breakfast, and then went to my room to clean it up. After I was done, I was told to go get everything I needed for college.

I looked for a 5bedroom house where me and my friends can stay off campus or live there instead of going back home. I think it's a good idea.

When I was done cleaning, I took a shower and got dressed to start my day. Smoked me another blunt, and headed out to the mall to buy everything I needed for my big day.

While I'm at the Mall entrance, I saw Kayla also doing her school shopping with Missy. I think I will say hi to them.

"Hey ladies, what are you two doing today?"

"Hi Jamie, we are doing well. How are you doing today?"

"I'm doing good, I just wanted to say hi before I do my college shopping."

"That's nice of you, Jamie, would you like to join us going the same way?"

"Sure, I would love to join you two."

After our little talk, we started our shopping and Kayla was telling me how she felt about Billy and her going to college in a different state will be fun.

Then after we were done, we went to the food court to get something to eat and drink. Missy and I decided to stay a little longer while Kayla went shopping more. I love spending time with Missy with every chance I have to just talk to her.

"Missy, I love spending time with you, and I was hoping I could take you out on a date tomorrow?"

"I would love to go on a date with you, Jamie."

She kissed me with her soft ruby red lips. I didn't want her to stop kissing me. But I know we both needed to calm down because we would end somewhere else instead of shopping.

We went to look for Kayla to let her know we are at the store next door buying our books for school. Me and Missy talked more. I even asked her out for a date on Friday night. I'm so happy things are looking up now.

Then when we were there we said our goodbyes and I went home to finish packing and then got ready for my date with Missy. I rolled me a blunt and took a shower.

I decided to wear my black jeans with a white shirt and my black and white beanie. I wanted to be my best and look good and make Missy smile.

I was thinking about taking missy to the new restaurant downtown and then to the beach to take a walk in the moonlight and talk about what we want in our lives. I really like missy and I want her to be mine.

Hi,Jamie, how are you doing today? Hi, Missy, I'm doing good. I was at the park smoking a joint when Jess came over and told me she was hanging out with you today. Yeah, she was helping me with something and now I have free time. Do you want to chill with me? I have Kush if you want some.
