It's yet another weekend . Saturday to be precise.

Evelyn looked up at the ceiling which had beautiful chandeliers up there. She smiled automatically seeing the beautiful paintings hanging upon the wall.She checked the time, it was nine thirty to be exact .

She does her morning routine and came down to have coffee. Their butler brings her coffee. Evelyn quickly enquires about her sister.

From her, she learns that Natalie went to see some clients and will not return until night. Evelyn decides to sneak out for the day with her bestfriend Maya and hopes to return home before Natalie returns.

Maya somehow tricked her for Evelyn to agree to her idea of enjoying a day.

Evelyn's POV:

I don't know what's gonna happen if sis finds out. but I promised Maya that I will come. I have to keep my promise.

Now this is my best chance as sis is also away and I can come back soon before she returns.

I looked at the photo of my di hanging in the wall , "sorry sis. But got to go.."

I choose my new Porsche car to ride and went to Maya's house to pick her up. Her house is just 10 minutes from mine.

She is the only real friend I have as others are scared of my sis. well, there are also other friends just for the money I have.

I called out Maya and honked the car.

"Princess, someone is waiting for you in there. " Her dad spoke passing a kind smile to me and pointed towards my car.

"Waiting for me? Whoa, who is there?"She asked excitedly and rose her eyebrows.

Maya came out of her house followed by her dad . She came running while stuffing her mouth with bread from the tray her dad is holding.

" Bye uncle. " I waved my hand at him .

" Wow, this car is so cool. I wish i had one. " she exclaimed.

" Just my luck that sis is not at home now. So, I am able to come this time. but don't call me often." I told her.

Maya rubbed her forehead "you and your over protective di. Sometimes she even scares me . I don't know how you are living with her? " She huffed . My sis can be scary at times.

I slapped her arm "How many times I have to tell you not to speak ill about my sis . I don't like it and won't tolerate it."

Maya sighed " ok ok. I am sorry" . On seeing me still upset, " don't keep your face like that .come on. There might be some handsome guys to see this beauty. You might miss put if you keep frowning." She said teasingly.

"Ha ha. Very funny. " I ruffled her hair playfully and laughed. she then screamed " now i will show you how to have real fun. "

I asked her "where to? "

Maya replied " AMC Lincoln Square 13. New movie is playing there. If we're lucky enough, we can even see the stars starred on it. Now , hurry."

While We are on our way to that cinema mall that I remembered I forgot to bring my customized iPhone. Great. Last night , sis asked me to give my mobile so that she will insert a new sim card with new number and asked me not to give it to anyone.

Only she knows the reason for changing my number every two months. I am allowed to give number only to Maya. ofcourse Simon knew.

I tried reasoning with Simon as to why she is changing it often . But he too has no idea.

Natalie'S POV:

" Mr. Giles, I knew your company is on verge of bankruptcy. So, sell me your shares to the price I quoted or else learn to live on rhe streets." I said coldly to the guy who is fuming with anger.

" It's my family's property. How can I sell it? " He asked me helplessly.

" You should have thought about it before you mess with me. How dare you threaten to kidnap my sister for a mere contract? "I controlled my urge to hit him as my bodyguards held him in place. He finally conceded the defeat and signed his company off. That went well.

I really don't want to be here today if not for this man's cheap plan. I know Evelyn is always up for some fun and now that I am here , she will be over the moon and with Maya, she will definitely try to do something silly. That's why I don't work in weekends. Today is exception.

why do I have a gut feeling that something is not right ?

I have to speak with her to be at ease again.

(Natalie calls Evelyn again and again. but it just rings and no one answered the call.)

Growing frustrated, I called our house landline number. One of the maids picked up the call and afraid of lying, she told me that Evelyn went out on her own .

This made me furious. I am really angry with her now.

Evelyn, how dare you step out without my permission.you don't know what you have got yourself into. Wait till I get to you.

Then I called Shaun uncle and asked him "uncle, where is Evelyn now? "

" Evelyn is going to park her car in the parking lot of the Lincoln Square . Me and David are closely watching her . Don't worry Natalie" he answered me trying to ease my tension.

Shaun uncle and David are the guys I hired for following Evelyn and keep her safe unknown to her. She doesn't know how risky it is for her to roam around .

Evelyn's POV:

We both watched the movie Avengers and I enjoyed almost every bit of that movie. End was a sad one though.

while hopelessly roaming around the mall, an arm caught my right hand and twirled me around,

there stood my angry sis with fierce look in her eyes. Her eyes were blood shot and she was fuming in anger.

" Sis" before I could even say anything , her hand landed on my right cheek. She slapped me real hard this time. I can instantly feel my cheek burning red.

When Maya is about to say something, sis gave her a menacing look that scared her away. People around us started murmuring among themselves. Some looked at me in pity.

I tried hard but couldn't stop the tears flowing down from my eyes.

"now, come on" she dragged me out and walked towards my car. She then told her driver to drop Maya in her house and with that, she drove us away from there.

Great. It doesn't get any better than this, this weekend.

It took us another 30 minutes to reach home. Sis didn't even spoke to me for once throughout the ride. her eyes are still dark with anger.

Natalie's POV:

once we arrived at home, I asked her to stay in the car till I come and get her. She could onky nod. Then I entered the house and sent all the maids on a day leave. I don't want them to see Evelyn like that. After they left, I bring her in and asked to sit in the living room .

I then brought ice cubes from kitchen and placed it in her burning cheek. I can see my fingerprints clearly there.

I am still mad at her but it also hurts me to see her in pain. she makes me do it . I got to punish her for this . what to do? then I got an idea.

" Err well Evelyn now that you defied me and went out without even asking me , I am grounding you. I also decided that you will not speak with anyone till I say so. and you are not allowed to write it and show to people."

" Is that clear?" I asked in commanding tone .

She nodded. just then her phone on the coffee table started ringing. I know who it will be?

Maya ,ofcourse.

" Since you are grounded , I am taking your mobile too. then give me your license .'

She took it from her bag and give it to me.

" you know what. from now on, you are not allowed to ride the car on your own again till i return your license.'

She simply nodded her head again which made me laugh a little. before she can see me smiling, I turned my back and walked away.

Evelyn's POV:

I still can't believe it. Sis told me not to speak. even while we are having dinner, she didn't asked me anything.

I don't know when she will calm down and let me speak. now all I need is sleep. I was lying in bed suddenly , a thought flashed across my mind.

Oh my god! Tomorrow is sunday which means simon will be here to tutor me about handling business.

God! what am I gonna do!

how can I survive his boring lecture without being able to speak ?

"Sis. please forgive me before he comes tomorrow." Looks like I said it out aloud as I heard sis suppressing her laugh standing at the doors .

I got what it meant. She is not gonna leave me easily this time.

I don't know when I slept after that.

Mitchell's POV:

I saw Natalie slapping my Evelyn infront of many people. How can she be so cruel? I controlled my anger . Natalie, you will pay for this!

I have been sending greetings, gifts and letters to Evelyn for the last 4 years. But she didn't receive any of them.

The things that are addressed to their house on Evelyn's name will reach her only after Natalie sees it. She's insane!

Evelyn, wait for me . Just a few more months, then I will take you permanently away from your monster sister.

Evelyn is not just a beauty outside but she was just as beautiful on the inside. That's what made me fall in love with her. She is all I want.

" Mitchell, we got a problem" my friend and assistant Kevin came inside my cabin.

" What? " I asked him still upset with Natalie's behaviour.

" It's your brother Douglas. It seems he refuses to leave the bar . That bar manager called" He replied ,concern evident in his voice.

" It's 1 am. sorry man I forgot . you leave. I will get him myself. " I said as I stood up and took my car key.

With much difficulty, I brought Doug home. I asked George uncle to bring something for Doug to eat. George uncle works in our house since my childhood.

" Today is our 6th wedding anniversary. but she is not with me. I love you , Rachel why did you do that to me? to us? Still I can't forgot you . " he spoke and passed out.

Both me and uncle took him to his room and made him lay down on his bed. Still he murmurs " I love you , Rach" .

We both came out. when I am about to leave, " Mitch, stay here at least tonight. it's late night" Uncle insisted me .

" No, I won't stay here until my family comes here. I can't see that idiot like this. I still believe that one day Rachel will definitely come here. that day, I will also stay here. take care of him, uncle" I said and left to my flat.

Third Person's POV:

As Evelyn was sleeping in her room, Natalie comes there. she moved her hair from falling on her face with tears rolled down in her eyes ,says" I am sorry for hitting you. I didn't meant to do that. it just happened. you are only one I left with in this world. if something happens to you by that Kane Smith or others ,what will I do? .if he ruins your life like he tried to do years ago means ,what will I do? no, I won't let that happen. I am trying to make sure he can't even reach you.all I wish is to see you happy and peaceful like this unlike me"

Then she looks at their parents photo " sorry mama and daddy, I hit her again. please forgive me." she wipes her tears.

Then she kissed on Evelyn's forehead and leaves.

Evelyn's POV:

I wake up around 9.30 am . I saw my sis standing in front by me flashing her perfect teeth. She's in her track pants and t shirt. She might have returned from her morning jogging. For a moment, I almost forgot what happened last night and almost greet her when I realized my punishment. " Good morning, Eve" She kissed me on mu cheek and left. That's it. I had a long shower and came down around 10.30 am and sit next to sis for breakfast.

I wonder if she is still angry at me.

With much difficulty, I asked butler to order me pizza by my actions as I thought it will irk sis and ask me to speak on anger . When the butler is about to go , sis stopped her" no need for that. you carry on with your work. " which made me frown. Plan failed.

Sis glared at me and placed bread toast and a glass of milk and said " eat now. your childish plan will not work. Simon will be here soon. "

Yikes, she knows how much I hate milk but still.

I ate it and drank that milk in a gulp like a good girl hoping she will forgive me. Once finished, I come to the living room waiting for Simon.

He is always on time . Simon is a cool guy,except for the fact he annoys me whenever he tutors. Even my professors can't make me fall asleep like him. Other than that he is sweet.

He is 5 ft 8 tall with blonde brown hair. He may look like a normal guy but he's so smart , intelligent and also has abs underneath his shirt. He seldom comes to drop me in college if my sis can't come, almost every girl in my university drools over him for his stunning looks. but he doesn't even care to look at anyone.

I like him more than anything. I know he loves my sister. It's obvious with the way he looks at her and speaks with her . But my sis is oblivious to it . I just wish he confess his love soon and they get married. If anyone who deserve to be happy, it's my sister. She deserves to be happy after everything she gone through in her life.

Simon's POV:

The moment I entered, I saw Evelyn sitting in a couch silently with their companies contract files. I also know that she doesn't like lectures but i got to teach her about business so that she can manage it one day.

My eyes immediately searched for my love. Evelyn pointed to the staircase. There stood Natalie ,stubborn and unfazed . Her face looked so innocent. her flawless skin and curved hips ,tempts me to touch her and bare my heart to her. I wonder if she know how beautiful she is. I bet she doesn't. She cares only for Evelyn. All her thoughts are about her. Yet she hurts Evelyn every single time Evelyn didn't follow what she said.

For me, it's love just happened. I don't know how and when. I used to like her a lot ever since we are kids.

I also love Evelyn very much. Not the kind of love like I have with Natalie . Evelyn is really childish and playful. She's more like my sweet little sister I would say. Me and Evelyn are like best friends. We talk and share about our views freely. The only time we are apart was then I went to London for my Business management degree.

When I returned home, she pretend to have forgotten me. At first, I thought she was joking,then my mom introduced me to her . I believed that she forgotten me and introduced myself and telling stories about our childhood. She seems to be forgotten me. how could she? As I am the one who was playing with her almost every day. As I was wondering about it, they both burst into laughter and hifived each other. Just like that she pranked me . She's lively and energetic.

I always wait for sundays as I get to spend some time with my sweetheart Natalie.

After taking over dad's business here in NewYork, I have always been busy. but still I made time to meet her. As I entered, Natalie come to me and greeted me. I am surprised when Evelyn didn't say anything till now. She's usually a chatter box.

" Natalie. is something wrong with your sister?"

"as a matter of fact,everything. she will not speak anything till I say her to do so. now you get on with your business. I will see you both after your session is over. If you need me, I am in my office."

Evelyn nodded and gestured me to start. Natalie leaves from there to her office room which is right next to the living room. I planned to confess my love to Natalie after finishing it.

Deep down, I feel very bad for Evelyn. Unlike girls of her age, she isn't even allowed out until Natalie accompanies her. Natalie never send her to any outing or tours . Evelyn though never complain. It's like Natalie hiding something. But she never tell anything to anyone.

I then started to explain about how the management works in hiring the labour and the materials as we go through Anderson company contract, one of the biggest clients of Brown Inc. After an hour and thirty minutes or so, Evelyn slept with her head on my shoulders . God,what am I gonna do with this girl!

I place all the files back on the table neatly in order. Then I shook her up to wake her before Natalie comes back and she gets into more trouble. Evelyn woke up while rubbing her eyes . She gestured me in sign asking whether it's over for today.

"yes. Now I need you to listen to me."

Saying this, I turned to the other side as I become nervous and words are not coming out from my mouth.

I stammered " I."

before I can even start , Evelyn left the place. In he rolace, Natalie was there.

She looks breathtaking and made her lips wet with her tongue. her lips are always inviting and tempting one alongside her eyes. I shrugged away those thoughts.

"Can I see your room?" I asked her, with a suggestive smirk.

"No, I don't think that's a good idea," I replied quickly.

"Oh, c'mon, you can't just invite someone into your home and not show them your room!" I whined like a kid.

"Well, too bad. We're not going in there," She muttered before sitting on the couch. But I silently slipped away to her room.

Natalie's POV:

It was quiet for a few moments,and when I looked over, I saw him gone from the spot where he stood before. My eyes widened, and I ran up the stairs, looking around frantically. I soon heard a deep chuckle coming from down the hall, and I ventured into my room, only to see Simon sitting on my bed, looking through my photo album which I made during college.

" hey!" I screeched, snatching it away from him."You used to like Tom Cruise?" He asked, before bursting into laughter.

"I thought I told you not to come in here!" I scolded him. But He just shrugged, before standing up and looking around my room. He saw my trophies, my piano, my dresser, and then my bed."I didn't know you are a nerd" He said, while examining my medal for graduating first in my class.

"I was once . " I told him sadly remembering my joyous college days.

He then walked over my piano, looking through my sheet music, mixing all the papers up.

"Hey! Don't! I need them in order!" I exclaimed. He just smirked, before dropping them to the floor, having them scatter everywhere, "Whops."

"What's your problem?!" I yelled, while picking them back up, and putting them back in number order. I set them gently and neatly down on the piano, before looking over and seeing him on the balcony.

I walked out, having a gust of wind smack me in the face, making my hair whip me in the face, which resulted in him laughing."I'm glad you find that so humorous," I grumbled, while rolling my eyes and pushing my hair back in place.

"Let's go back downstairs," I suggested. This place is my sanctuary. Playing piano calms me down and get over my sadness.

"Nah, I like your room," He argued with me. I grabbed his hand, leading him out by force. Once we got downstairs, I realized that I was still holding his hand,which made me quickly let go of his hand and blush. He smirked, noticing my blush.

I noticed how bright his green eyes shine when he laughs or smiles, or how his dimples just pop out when he smiles. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, although I don't know why. Once we stopped our laughing fest after I told him a story about Evelyn when she was a baby, he just stared into my eyes, as I did the same.

Simon's POV:

She blushed.

We are staring into each other's eyes until my mobile rings. It's Mom. Way to ruin the moment,mom. I sighed as Natalie left after smiling awkwardly.

Time passes so quickly when I was with her. I unwantedly left the house after speaking with Natalie.

Natalie told me about what happened yesterday. I felt a sharp pain in my heart when I heard about her slapping Evelyn . I am disappointed with Natalie. She might be felling terrible after doing that.

I tried to reason with her about her behavior towards Evelyn. But the only reply I got was " She's my sister. I know what's good for her. For god sake, don't bring it up again . I will never allow anyone in between our matters ever. It's between us. I am not answerable to anyone." She said firmly leaving no place for arguments. I asked Natalie to excuse her this time and not to hurt her again.

She said " You should rather advice Evelyn to be within her limits and don't do anything against my words.". I sighed and left knowing arguing with her was useless. sometimes, I wonder what was going on her mind. she looked hurt and with reddish eyes, I knew she hasn't slept yesterday. Then why she's hurting herself and Evelyn?

I knew she's been undergoing counselling with Dr.Rubin for the past 5 years . But She never tell anything to me. I felt bad for her. She was insecure and scared of getting hurt again.

Rachel's POV:

I have been staying here in South Africa away from my family, my best friend and my love . I still miss him a lot. There hasn't been a day I never thought of Doug. Douglas Johnson.

I still can't believe you blamed me for the abortion and asked divorce. That baby was mine too. How can I kill my own child?

I hope everything will be fine there.

Natalie is still angry with me for coming here without informing her. Now that my visa gonna expire , she is asking me to come back by making me swear on our friendship. She also promised me that she will reunite me with my family.

Even after all that happened , she still loves and cares for me and my well being. I am going to leave for NewYork in a week.

I can't wait to meet Evelyn. She too might have forgiven me. Also Mitchell . He too trusts me and used to call me often and shares his grief over Doug and Natalie.

Just two odd months for Evelyn's 22nd birthday. the day, Mitchell awaits for a long time.

I already resigned from my job as a teacher. Teaching those small kids helps me forgot my child's loss . Now I am doing some shopping for all of them . For you also, Doug.

Evelyn's POV:

I walked a few feets away from sis and spoke with James. James is Simon's elder brother and lives in Sydney, Australia. He is looking after Cowell industries there.

"hey man, how are you and your lover?" I asked him mildly.

"fine babysis. It seems like you are in lot of trouble. I also heard that you have lost the right to drive the car."

"how do you know?" I asked lowly.

"I get to know everything happens around you , Simon told me. Guess what I got a better idea for you."

'really? what is that?"

"You still have your license copy with you, right?"

" Yeah, so. Do you mean, you actually did that" I asked excitingly. but soon frowned knowing I can't drive. Sis looks confused at my sudden excitement.

" Yes. I bought you a Bugatti through my friend and you will have it tomorrow morning. So, don't worry. Enjoy your ride."

" Thanks ,James. You are really great. I love you a lot. But I can't do anything. I won't go against sis's words. She said not to drive myself. So, I won't. Please cancel it. " I replied calmly causing my sis to look at me in shock.

He tried to persuade me but gave in.

" When will you come to see us?" I asked him. It's been moes than five years since I last saw him in person.

"I will come soon. But now I got to go. I will call you someother time. Take care. Tell your sister to take care too"

With that he hung up.

Sis asked me " Now let's go to the home theatre. I have a surprise for you." We both walked inside the theatre room. She then brought the popcorn and cold drink case.

When she pressed play button, Avengers, Infinity war started playing. We watched the movie together.

" Thanks for forgiving me . love you sis." I kissed her cheek as we both came back to the living room and sat on the couch. Sis then pulled out my mobile from her pocket and switched it on.

It ring almost immediately as it was switched on. Maya. My call list showed 30 missed calls. Sis attended the call and put it in speaker and asked me to speak. Poor Maya.

'Hi" was all I said.

"Thank god! you are alive. I thought you were dead or something. your sister is impossible. When she slapped you , even I felt tremors of it."

For this, my sis replied " Don't feel Maya. next time we meet, I will give you a nice real one for taking Evelyn out with you so that you won't feel tremors anymore."

Maya sounded frightened by this. " Sis, no.. me.. sorry.. wrong number" and ended the call.

" That was mean,sis . You scared her! " Then both of us has got into fits of laughter.

Apart from sis took my car key and license along with me being forbidden from driving alone to places, the whole week has gone without any significant incidents.

However , I didn't see Simon this weekend. Last time , he called me to inform me that he has some urgent work in London and he will tell me all about it once he comes back.

I am waiting for the driver to pick me up in the entrance of the university. Again I saw the guy. There is this guy who follows me everywhere I go in his imported bike . I didn't get to see his face as he always has his helmet on.

He's been following me for years. Some days , he won't be there. I didn't care much about his presence as it doesn't bother me for he always maintain to stay at a distance and never mind of disturbing me at all. Also, I thought sis has arranged him to have an eye on me.

I still got one more day to be officially done with MBA. yes. Just one more day. final project evaluation will be done in coming week.

I want to say this happy news to sis. so, I went straight to our office . Noone stopped me as they all know who I was. I went straight to my sis's room who is the CEO. Her assistant Karen told me that sis is at an meeting with marketing team.

Natalie's POV:

After the meeting, I came inside my room and see Evelyn yawning in couch.

" what madam? Feeling sleepy huh?" I asked while ruffling her hair.

She rubbed her eyes and replied " no sis, I did meditation."

" huh?"

" Sia, I am going to graduate soon. This time,I want to work . please don't say no. " she asked with a puppy face which caught me off guard as she very well know that she is the major shareholder in this concern. She can easily overpower me.

I agreed as I don't want to disappoint her. But I know it's very much unlikely as Mitchell will not agree. She hugged me . When I sat on the couch, she immediately lay on my lap.

I forgot to tell her about Rachel's arrival from South Africa. Rachel went there right after her divorce with Doug for her job. Though I insisted her to stay with us, she left without even informing me.

"Evelyn"

"hmm"

"Rachel is coming today."

She just stood up and walked towards the door. "Stop Eve, I know you are still upset with Rachel . but it's not her fault. she too was a victim . Also she has been staying away from everyone all these years. Think about your Ellen and Richard uncle who are longing to see her though they didn't tell . Think about James and Simon, Rachel is their only sister. "

" Sis. please don't bring her back to our house. I beg of you." her voice now meak as she is about to cry.

"Try to understand, Evelyn. I want to unite her with her family. "

" But then what about us, sis? We lost our dad. you lost your happiness. You're not the same sis I used to see while growing up. How could you just forgot and forgive everything? Maybe you got a big heart but not me. I don't want her in our house or in our lives ever." She replied angrily.

Her talking back made me angry. I don't want her to feel sad for me. I don't deserve it.

" Whether you like it or not, She will be staying with us. So, be respectful towards her. When I am not angry or upset about her, I don't think it will be appropriate for you to be angry. She's also a sister to you like me." I warned her.

Evelyn cried and frustration written all over her face.

" ok fine. I agree, not for her but for you . And she's not my sister."

With that she left the office closing the door angrily. I must say , she took her anger on me at that poor door.

Rachel's POV:

As expected, Natalie picked me up from airport. I told her I will stay in a hotel . But Nat being stubborn,didn't agree. So, here we are. In her house. The moment i enter the house, i saw Evelyn standing in the stairs. She didn't run to me as she usually do years back and I can totally understand why. Onn Natalie's insistence, Evelyn greeted me formally and left to her room.

Natalie showed me ,my room and went to change. I thought of having a word with Evelyn since it was a long time. Bad move I must say.

Inside Evelyn's room,

God! I can't believe it's a room of a young lady. Her room is fully painted in pink with cartoon characters, a big teddy bear which she is hugging now. Then some photos and paintings hanging in wall.

On the wall, one photo caught my eye. it was taken during her 10th birthday with both me and Natalie hugging her.

She still keeps it. Does it mean she still loves me. Maybe she kept it for Natalie.

I cleared my throat,

She looked up but then again shifted her gaze to play on her Phone. She pretended as if I am not even here.

"hmm. I am sorry, Eve. I know you are upset with me. But please forgive me. "

No reply.

"Eve, please don't be like this. Let me explain." I stood in front of her. She stopped me abruptly .

" No need. Keep your explanation to yourself. Do whatever you want in this house. Just don't come anywhere near me. You are here because of sis. You're nothing but a stranger to me. So , leave. " She said harshly.

" Please don't make me cry. Eve, let's talk." my voice started to tremble .

" Now leave or I'll go from here." she said and stood up. I just looked at her with tearful eyes . She is all grown now. Beautiful.

I looked at her while tears flows from my eyes.Whatever you say or do, I can never get angry with you, Eve. You're my little sister. Nothing can change that.

" What? it hurts, right? It still hurts for me. I don't think there will be any friend like you in this whole world who backstab their own friend. How could you do this to my sis? If you want to get married to that Doug guy so badly, why haven't you done it earlier rather than waiting till sis's engagement day to embarrass her and dad." She asked harshly.

I couldn't speak with tears coming down my cheeks. " Please. It's not what happened. " my voice now merely a whisper.

" That day, I lost my dad and my sis due to you. She's walking dead. She changed a lot. Even Ellen, your mom is shattered. Do you even thought of her all these years? I am tolerating your presence only for her. So, get out of my sight." she yelled at the top of her lungs. I tried to hug her but she pushed me away causing me to fall down.

I am speechless with no words coming from my mouth. I felt someone coming behind me and helped me up. She then hugged me tightly.

Natalie.

Evelyn's POV:

I didn't meant to harm her physically but it just happened. I don't know when sis came. I am in deep trouble. After comforting Rach , she came straight to me and slapped me across the face. I can visualize red spots on my cheek already.

" Apologize to her now. How dare you push her? " Sis shouted and stared at me menacingly. As I didn't move, " I won't repeat again. now Eve " she said causing me to shudder in fear.

" Sss sor sorry " I stammered badly. Rach came to me and hugged me tightly. She caressed my now redden cheek . I felt bad for hurting her instantly. They left leaving me alone in my room. I applied the ointment on my cheek. I think it might be 46 or 47 slaps, I received over the years. I need to check the stars I draw on the sky sheet i painted for the exact count.

Natalie's POV:

" I just can't believe it. you slapped Evelyn just like that. and seeing her reaction, I know it is not the first time. Natalie , how you become so cold hearted to hit our little Eve like that? Evelyn doesn't know what happened. " Rachel said quickly.

" Do you think I happy with that? It hurts me to do that too. but I can't help it. She will stop only when I do something like that. When I hit for the first time , she fainted and she had fever for two days due to shock.I felt terrible . I feel alive only when she got well. Your mom Ellen just hate me after that. Simon and James didn't talk with me until Evelyn cornered them by saying she won't talk with them if they didn't talk with me. but still she loves me not hating me like I want."

" Don't you think, it will be better if you let her know. I mean I know Doug's family bothering you. If you don't want that to happen, then stop it rather than hurting her. " Rachel said while glancing at me.

" Then What about Mitchell? He's crazy about her. My parent's last wish? I can't break their promise. I can't deny when Doug's mom Linda is hell bent on doing it . " I paused for a while.

"Also, don't worry. Eve will be fine by tomorrow morning."

" Ok. Don't come in between us tomorrow.i am really angry with you for hitting her. " she said and turned her face away.

" Rachel, I hit her for you . Now you are angry at me. ok . fine. I am sorry ." I gave in. We chatted for hours and she slept . I tried to find some sleep. But , how can I even sleep when Evelyn is sobbing in the next room?

How I wish I could be there with comforting and hugging her. But She need to be absolutely ready to leave me without any feelings as I won't be here for her after her wedding!

Please Evelyn, hate me, curse me and if possible ,despise me.

Mitchell's POV:

I didn't see Evelyn once today. So, I climbed the tree and quietly jumped over her balcony. I could hear my love's heart beating steadily as I appeared right infront of her bed in seconds. I swallowed the lump in my throat as I got closer to her. It was hard for me to not hold her and caress her face.

I walked over to her and leaned forward. I then placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. I let my lips linger there for a few seconds, feeling her skin against mine until I pulled away. She stirred in her sleep. I caressed her redden right cheek gently as I realized that Natalie have slapped her again.

I will make her pay for this and walked away from there.

While driving back, I just realized that I kissed her.

A smile crept upon my face as I made my way towards my flat still feeling the warmth of her flesh against my cold lips. We will meet soon Evelyn, and I intend to never let you go.
