It was a beautiful and nice morning in new York City and also the first day of the week which was a Monday. The people of new York seemed busy getting ready for their day's activity, the adults on their way to the subway station or would drive in their various cars to their place of work while the little ones, the kids hopped into the school bus and were on their way to the school.
With all this going on a young beautiful lady just got out of the station, she was dressed in a black flay gown which had flower designs on it and with a brown overcoat to keep herself warm from the cold weather, with her black handbag on her right and the left had her coffee. It was a normal routine for Vivian to buy he favorite coffee at the station everyday on her way to work and she would also go to the bakery to get her favorite pastries to go well with it.
Vivian is a girl of 24, light skinned with long auburn hair, hazel eyes, well carved Brown and a long lashes, cute lips and a beautiful dentition. she also had this dimple which appeared on her both cheek whenever she smiled, it made her look really beautiful. she was really beautiful that wherever she went, all heads would turn to look at such beauty.
"Thanks Esther" she thanked the middle aged woman who always sold to her biscotti and muffins which was her favorite.
"you're very much welcome, Vivian" she replied as she swiped Vivian's credit card on the POS machine before she gave it back with a receipt.
"Have a nice day, Esther" she said and Vivian smiled at her before walking out of the shop.
She then walked across the road after she waited for the traffic light to turn green for the pedestrian.
Across the road was her place of work which was VEA teaching hospital.
Vivian is a medical student who is now in her final year at the prestigious medical school, VEA medical college. As a student reaches his or her final year, he or she would move to the hospital where they would practice what they've been taught and learn better from their professors.
She walked elegantly into the hospital building which was a sight to behold. it was really nice and in it you could see doctors in their lab coats, nurses and also patients.
"Good morning Mrs Jane" she greeted the receptionist with a dashing smile.
"Good morning Vivian, how was your night?" the young lady asked Vivian.
"nice" she replied and this made Mrs Jane nod with a smile. Vivian was one of the students she liked ever since she started to work at the hospital. she was s kind, gentle and nice soul and always respected her seniors.
"Have a nice day" Mrs Jane wished her
"you too" Vivian then walked to the elevator where she joined some other doctors who were there.
she pressed the button going to the fifth floor and which stopped when it was there.
Stepping out of the elevator, she went straight to the lady's room where her closet was so she could change into her scrub and get ready for the day's activity .
Stepping out of the elevator, she went straight to the lady's room where her closet was so she could change into her scrub and get ready for the day's activity.
As she got in she met some of her colleagues who were already dressed and were on their way out of the lady's room.
"Hey Vivian" one of the girls on glasses greeted her with a smile.
"How're you doing Grace?" She asked her colleague who gave her a warm smile and assured her that her night was splendid.
"See you later" Grace waved at her and shot the door behind her as she ran in other to meet the other girls who were now on the elevator.
"Looks like I'm gonna be late today" Vivian said to herself as she walked into the quiet room but to her surprise she saw her best friend sitted on the bench there busy with her phone.
"Stacy?" She called her name to get her attention.
"Hey peaches, how're you doing?" She asked with a smile as she opened her arms for a hug.
"Come on, we agreed that you would stop calling me that. We're no longer kids" Vivian complained with a smile and hugged her friend.
"Did we? How come I don't recall?" Stacy said innocently.
"Don't tell me you've forgotten already?" She asked her friend.
"I have, refresh my memory a bit" Stacy said as she raised her phone to take a selfie of her.
"It was just the day before yesterday when we went to the club"
"Oh, I must have been drunk when I agreed to that" Stacy said with a playful grin.
"Come on, Stacy" Vivian frowned like a child.
"You know I'll never stop that, do you" Stacy stood on her feet as she started to unbutton her shirt
"And why is that?" Vivian asked with her mouth filled with muffins which she had bought earlier on her way to the hospital.
"Because you are such a cute girl and also you are just sweet as peach fruit" Stacy said and stole a bite of Vivian's breakfast which she had on her hand.
"I can't stop you, can I?" Vivian asked helplessly. She was so tired of dragging this same topic with her friend ever since she entered her new school school. Stacy was really adamant.
"Nope" she answered as she packed her long aurburn hair in a ponytail.
"I should leave now, I need to head to the laboratory before the professor comes in" she said as she turned to her friend who was still busy with her breakfast.
"Don't look at me like that, I'll join the others soon" she said guilty when she saw the way her best friend glared at her.
"Be quick, see you at lunch " she said and left the room in a hurry leaving Vivian alone.
"Looks like I'll be late again" she said to herself as she sighed
Vivian and Stacy has been friends since she was like five years old. She and her parents just moved into the neighborhood and Stacy happened to be their neighbor who always smiled at her whenever she was with her mum at the garden watering their plants. Whenever Vivian saw this, she would look away and tell her mum that the little girl next door wasn't sane.
"Really, are you sure? Or maybe she wants to be friends with you" her mom would say with a smile.
"No mum, I won't be friends with that weirdo" she would say with a frown which left her mum chuckle at her little girl's comment.
"We would have to see about that peaches" her mum said. She was actually the first person to call her that together with her father.
They were a family of three and her parents loved her so dearly.
Little Vivian who didn't like her weird neighbor didn't know what she would have to face the next day until she went to school.
The little blonde hair girl was in her school and to make it all, they were in the same class.
"Hi peaches" Stacy shouted from her seat as soon as she saw little Vivian enter their class on her first day at her new school.
"Hi Peaches" Stacy shouted from her seat as soon as she saw little Vivian enter their class on her first day at her new school.
Little Vivian was really shocked after she heard the name only her parents and no other person was permitted to call her.
Stacy gave the new girl a bright smile and offered a seat beside her for her to seat. She had already taken a like in her and wanted to be her friend at all cost.
"Kids, let's say hello to miss Vivian. She's going to be studying with us and I want you all to get along" their homeroom teacher announced with a smile and the other kids all welcomed her .
"Miss Jackson, I would like if peaches sit close to me" Stacy voiced out what she had wanted to say as soon as Vivian entered the class.
"Alright, seems like everyone already likes you Miss Vivian" the teacher said as she looked down at Vivian who was still wondering why her weird neighbor still called her peaches after she had been introduced as Vivian earlier by the homeroom teacher.
"But we would like to know where you would want to sit Miss Vivian?" The teacher asked her gently.
Vivian looked around the class but for some reason she felt safe if she would stay near her next door neighbor. Maybe it was because everyone in the class looked new to her except for the girl who looked at her with a bright smile all over her face. Little Stacy couldn't wait for Vivian to accept to sit close to her.
After much observation, Vivian finally pointed at the empty seat close to Stacy.
"Alright then, go on ahead and sit over there" she told her as she watched the little girl walk towards the seat and she turned and went off to her desk to prepare for the next lesson.
"Hey peaches, I'm Stacy" Stacy stood on her feet as she introduced herself with a stretched arm.
"You're not permitted to call me that" Vivian said ignoring what she said earlier.
"Alright peaches but first you need to take off your backpack and get ready for the next class" Stacy said as she helped Vivian take off her backpack and sat on her chair.
She then opened the bag and searched for her book and a pencil which she found and dropped on the table before she turned to Vivian who still looked at her with an annoyed face.
"What's the matter peaches?" She asked but her words were interrupted by their homeroom teacher who called the students attention so that they could settle down for the class.
"Alright kids, I want everyone's attention to be on me, okay?" She said as she smiled at the kids but found Vivian still standing.
"Is there a problem Miss Vivian?" She asked and then Stacy quickly held Vivian's palm and made her sit quickly.
"Not really miss Jackson" Stacy said and the teacher nodded before she started to teach.
"Here peaches, this is the page we would be studying" Stacy said as she swiped through the pages for Vivian and then turned to the board to pay attention.
"I've told you to stop calling me pea..." Stacy interrupted her with a shush.
"Shhh, pay attention peaches" she said and turned to the board.
Vivian had no other choice but to turn towards the board to pay attention. No matter what she says this weird neighbor of hers never stopped calling her peaches till this very day.
With time, she found out actually how nice Stacy was and they became real friends well best friends.
