In the kingdom of snakes

In the month of February at the first wednesday night it was heavily raining in the city of Wuxi, their was no one at streets because of rain. In balcony of an old University dormitory located at the most isolated part of the city hidden in deep jungle a girl with fair skin, light blue eyes, dark long lashes with arked eyebrows, rose pink lips, blushing cheeks, blue knee length long hairs, slender but strong muscular body, long legs and hands was sitting on steel chair with a cup of coffee seemingly enjoying the rain.

Bang! The door slumed open, and a girl with short dark hairs, small cute brown eyes, straight eye brows, pink lips and cheeks, short height was standing in the middle of the door all drunk. Looking around the room she shouted, Calista!

On hearing her name Calista came in to the room from balcony holding her cup of coffee and a poker face she sat on the bed facing door looking straight in the eyes she asked with serious tone and undefined expressions; " How may I help you Greta"

Greta: you better stay away from my man, he doesn't like women like you.

Calista: Oh! With no emotion on her face

Greta: almost shouting on calista face, I'm telling you.... before she could even finish what she wanted to say she was interrupted by Calista with a serious yet mocking tone;

" Baby if I was even least bit interested in your boyfriend then by now he would have been in my bed not your arms, so if he is their with you then its him who is coming after me not me going to him, now go either find your self a loyal boyfriend or keep running around room to room to claim him yours."

Greta eyes flashed with anger she clinched her fist and was about to say something that Calista got up from bed put her cup down on her study table with wall near the door slowly walked towards door and taking advantage of her hieght she stand right infront of Greta and looked down at her with an eye pleasing grin on her face she stated every word cleard , loud and firm;

"Loyal boyfriend doesn't make you claim them they claim you"

And bang she shut the door on greta face. And stood with door for few seconds and went to her bathroom. The room where Calista was living was a master bedroom which students could have either because they were rich or the A graders of the university. Ofcourse in case of Calista she was an A grader bright student of her bach what she had was earned by her but not inherited. The room was on the star floor the top floor of the three most luxurious floors of the dormitory. It had a master bed in the mid adjusted to the wall beside balcony facing the door, a study table at right end corner wall of the bed facing the bed, with a coffee table on the right wall of bed adjacent to the window of balcony, at the left of bed was the dressing room which led to the bathroom, the room was decorated with blue and black and white marble floor. Black curtains hanging on the windows of balcony, blue silk bedsheet with black velvet embroidery. With blue carpet under the bed. Their was a sofa with a glass table at left wall of the bed and a mini kitchen setup at the left corner. The bathroom was all white with a bathtub at the center, a shower at the left corner separated from the rest of washroom with glass wall and a toilet seat adjacent to the shower and at the left of the bathtub. At the right side of the tub was the wash basin with a cabinet under and a full mirror on top of it.

Calista took a shower changed into a night gown and sat at the dressing table in the dressing room. After carefully applying her skin care products she went and lay down on the bed by now it was already 10p.m. Due to hectic day Calista went to sleep right away.

It was 1 a.m at night that Calista woke up at restless sounds coming in from her balcony. She hurriedly got out of bed cautiously open the coner of curtain to look out at the balcony but found no one their. Calista all confused open the curtain completely and was obout to open the window when she backed off from window in horror.

Unaware of what to do Calista carefully scanned the glowing green skin with black strip 3 to 4 meter long snake laying on the floor of balcony. After a few minutes of shock when calista summed up her courage and went forward to take a closer look of the snake she found that it was badly injured and was having trouble breathing.

Calista could barely even move but watching the snake having trouble breathing she could not stop her self from helping him.

She slowly opened the window with fear in her eyes and slowly approached the snake to take a look with concern as it was deeply wounded, she slowly moved her hand forward to touch the snake but suddenly the snake opened its eyes and made a hiss sound upon which Calista got horrified and run back to room quickly and shut closed the window of the balcony. She straight away had a run towards her phone and was about to dial the emergency number that her eyes met with the eyes of the bright green glowing snake and could not help but get lost in them. The next moment she could not help but put her phone down and was looking straight to the snake as if like the snake wanted to talk to her and was calling her.

After like thinking for a while Calista again summed up her little to nothing remaining courage and went towards the window and opened it. Only this time did she speak first to it; "relax I 'am here to help you" she slowly approached it and carefully garbed it and was about to lift it up that suddenly she fall back because the snake was too heavy. She got up rubbed her lower back that just hit the ground and was about to pick the snake again that the snake started moving on its own Calista could not help but grasp and jump back in fear and was watching the snake make its way inside the room slowly but steady only after when it entered the room it looked at Calista as he wanted to ask something, Calista was looking at the snake in fear totally unware of what to do next because clearly if not for the visible wound on its body Calista would have never have thought that the snake needs help. After thinking while staring at the snake did she finally told it to get on the bed.

To her surprise as if the snake can understand what she was asking her it got on the bed. Calista could not help but to think that it is very obedient for a snake, later on with the help of google did she managed to bandage the snake properly. By the time she was done with bandages the snake was already sound asleep. Calista could not help but had to sleep on sofa.

The next morning when Calista woke up it was already 9 p.m. she was late, she rushed to the dressing room wore a plain white shirt with blue ripped jeans. Calista was not very rich so her styling was not luxurious but she would wear simply wear a street brand shirt and it will look like high prestige brand that was one of her charms.

Before leaving with his blue plain but yet beautiful backpack she turned around and looked at the snake sleeping in her bed. Closing the door of the room behind her she couldn't understand the feelings she just felt. Calista walked down the red carpeted corridor of a 100 years old building with high celling walls decorated with different kinds of paintings. As she was coming down from the bifurcated stairs to the main hall Greta stop her mid way with a mocking smile on her face. Calista standing on upper stairs case couldn't help but to look down on Greta with expressionless face making it hard to understand what she was thinking. Greta was annoyed but counselled her emotions and was about to snap at Calista that Zelda Calista best friend a twenty years old girl, with long back length white hairs, green cat eyes with soft arch eyebrows, red lips, pink cheeks, slender but yet strong body; rushed into the hall from outside shouting Calista grabbing her from the arm and running down and out, Calista stopped mid way and pulled her arm back and looked at Zelda with confuse reaction and short breath caused by running she slowly asked her; what's wrong, Zelda was in rush and didn't cared about anything garbed Calista again and started running again and said to Calista while running; someone in the backyard of zoology department is bullying Allegra. On hearing this Calista stopped struggling against Zelda and started running towards the back yard.

The building was old but well maintained with almost 100 different kinds of departments; the building at first was owned by English men who was married to a Chinese women and that's the reason why you can find British style of architect mixed with Chinese handicrafts and finishing, it was just a single castle now the residential area for girls. but when it was bought by its second owner her turned it into hotel first then later on into university keeping the originality and style of the constructions in the building of every new department. Every department had its own front yard of 100 acres while a back yard of twenty acers, where as the front yard was decorated with different kinds of flowers and trees, the backyard of every department had a stream going through it with a arch bridges at the center of stream, it was single men made stream that connecting all the departments of the university.

It took Calista and Zelda a 20 minutes run to reach the backyard of the zoology department and to find where the bully was actually happing, by the time they arrived the scene it was chaos in one of the abounded store room of the department it was a high celling two floor spacious room, Allegra was surrounded by a group of ten to twenty men each taking turn to fight her; Allegra was a tall girl of 5.9 height one inch taller then Calista and 3 inches taller than Zelda with bust length green wavy hairs, black eyes with straight eyebrows, red lips, defined jawlines, blushed cheeks, muscular body; if not for her chest and voice one would have thought she is a boy. Calista and Zelda could not help but jumped into the fight and started beating the boys around and after a 20 minutes of long fight did the boys finally run off and the girls had a chance to take a breathe. It was partially because of their physical strength but mostly because all the three of them were taekwondo black belt holder that helped them win the fight. A fact known to the whole university is the reason why no one ever dared to bully anyone of them but that of course don't stop the once in a while exception, but never have any of them been successful against them.

At evening when the classes were over and every one was coming out of their classes, Calista was standing in the lobby of the zoology department waiting for Allegra to come out. When Allegra arrived they both planned to pick Zelda and go to near by restaurant to buy dinner.

Sitting and eating in the restaurant while laughing and giggling was when she remembered about the snake, and told the story of what happened last night to Zelda and Allegra, and then asked Allegra to help her out because she was a student of zoology and know a thing or two about snakes Allegra promised to help and the three paid for the meal and left the restaurant. On way to dormitory the three of them were chatting and teasing each other, they reached Calista room she carefully opened the door and went inside. Calista stood side wise making room for the other two of her friends and carefully turned the study table lamp on. When Calista turned around she saw Allegra and Zelda already standing next to bed and carefully examining the snake. Calista asked Allegra out of curiosity so what you say Allegra all confused said to Calista that it is her first time seeing a snake like this and then Allegra rushed out of the room leaving Calista and Zelda all confuse.

After sometime Allegra came back with the firstly aid box for animals and started redressing the wound of the snake with some antibiotics. After Allegra was done Calista asked Allegra if everything was okay, Allegra said; "its a serious wound but its not fatal" after saying this Allegra wrote a prescription on a page and left to her own room with Zelda. But before leaving Allegra reminded Calista to be careful even though the snake seem to be harmless but they are unware of its kind.

It was 9 p.m. by now Calista looked at the snake for a while confused about her feelings toward it she turned around and went to washroom to take a shower. After taking shower Calista came out to the dressing room took out her plum color night suit, plain, short shirt, flary pant and changed in to it. She stood in front of dressing table dried her hairs, applied her skin care and then came out to the room.

Standing beside the bed side she looked at the snake unaware whither it was okay or not she thought to her self how good would it have been if It could talk and tell us what's wrong. After standing by the bed side for a while Calista finally went across the room to coffee table made her self a coffee and sat on study table to study.

Calista who fell asleep on table while working last night woke up to a hustle going in her room. When she looked back she saw the snake in the bed moving in pain while hissing Calista rushed to the bed, and started patting its back until it was finally asleep. when she looked at the clock beside her table it was just 4 a.m. Calista slowly sild under the blanket in the bed and fell asleep.

After sleeping for the next two hours Calista woke to the movement beside her in the bed, when she looked at the her side her eyes met with the eyes of snake, and unconsciously give a smile smile and sit straight in the bed. Coming out of her bed she straight away went to washroom had a bath, she came out in her bath rob made a breakfast for her self and put some milk in front of the snake the snake quickly started licking and drink the whole bowl, looking at the snake drinking the whole bowl of milk like that Calista thought that it must have been thirsty as snake don't drink milk until they are dehydrated. After having her own breakfast too Calista went to the dressing room and changed into mini light blue frock, made a half bun hairstyle, wearing golden studs and a small pendant, with light blue nick sneakers.

Just when she came out of her dressing room she saw the snake coming down from the bed afraid of going any closer Calista talked to the snake from far away that "don't come out of the bed you are hurt" the snake turned around and looked at Calista in her eyes and hissed, Calista took a step back and watched the snake going down the window and disappear out of the sight. After watching the snake leave did Calista finally took a deep breath and sat on the floor for a while.

It was Friday so after taking the classes all the three girls Calista, Zelda and Allegra went out to a club in the city and had fun eating, drinking and dancing. Coming out of the club it was already 11 p.m. On their way back to university they felt like they were being followed when they looked back they saw a group of boys following them just when they were about to take run that they were stop by few of them from the front taking a step back Calista asked them with serious tone," what do you want" one of them laughed and said casually, "nothing just fun". By the over all look of the scene it was clear that they wanted more than just fun, all the three of them looked at each other, just at the vary moment one of the men grabbed Calista from the hand and two more grabbed Zelda and Allegra. The men holding Calista playfully touched Calista face and said; ahh pretty, Calista made a disgusted expression and showed off his hand, the men got annoyed and was about throw Calista on the ground that he him self fell on the ground holding his crotch in pain and cursing loud. The men by looking at the fellow lying on ground marched towards Calista and stared fighting, after like for fighting about ten minutes was when reinforcement arrived seeing so many men coming they had no choice but to take a run.

After running for an hour and a small fight here and their did they finally managed to reach university, it was past mid night so the doors of dormitory were closed and they had to climb up the wall and enter to the corridor through window it was the second floor with each room having four peoples in one room. Just when they were about to go upstairs to A grader floor that they hard Greta on Phone talking to someone in the lobby, "you useless brat, waste of money this is the second time you are missing her get lost and never contact me back again." hanging up the phone Greta started cursing, "are these bitches even girls or not how could they beat so many men all at once". Calista, Zelda and Allegra all the three of them were standing with the side wall of the stair case and just when Greta arrived and saw all the three of them smiling at her she took a step back and started sweating.

Zelda; with a smile on her face, "three bitches"

Calista; making surprise expression "are they even girls"

Allegra; mockingly "I think she confused you two with me and me with men"

Calista; jokingly oh "now that make sense"

Greta; nervously "I think you have misunderstood something"

Zelda; surprisingly "did we? well than help us understand"

Allegra; seriously looking dead straight into Greta eyes "one of the two times that you mentioned was

clearly what happened now, as for the second time it was at the backyard of the zoology department right?"

Zelda was so nervous that she fell on the floor and started crying all terrified, to the passer by it looked like three evil witches were bullying an innocent soul, just when Allegra raised her hand to slap Greta, they heard the warden coming up and all the four of them rushed to their rooms.

When Calista entered her room she was soo tried that she slammed on the bed and smile after thinking that it was weekend tomorrow. When she turned to her right in the bed she saw the same green snake siting on the balcony fins, she walked toward the window and opened it, while smiling at the snake she politely ask "are you okay now" Calista mesmerizing smile was one of her best charm, the snake couldn't help but hiss. Calista again looked at the snake with smile and said "hello I'm Calista, would you like to come in" making some room for the snake to walk in Calista looked at the snake making its way to room and went straight and climbed up the bed. Calista jokingly went near the snake a smiled: "hmm seems like Mr. Snake only come here to sleep, don't you have your own room." the snake just looked away and curled its self and went to sleep.
