In love with the high school bad boy

My name is queen, I'm an orphan. I live with my foster parents.

They've actually been the one taking care of me since I was a kid...they didn't have any children so I'm more like their only child.

We live in a small but comfortable house, with just two rooms, a dining and a sitting room.

I've always been a shy and timid person.

You can say I'm a nerd...lol. But that's just how I am.

I grew up with the talent of songs....I sing a lot but that's when I'm alone or inside the bathroom.

Sometimes I record my songs on my cell phone and transfer it to my laptop.

I just finished elementary school, I already processed my admission into high school.

I can't believe I would be going to the school of my dreams.

My foster parents didn't have much but they strives to make sure they get the money I would be using to enroll in the school.

I woke up one morning, opened my laptop and the first notification I got was that I had been giving admission to Ninkey's high school.

I was so excited..I rushed through my morning prayer, brushed, took my bath and ran out of my room to inform my parents that I had been admitted.

"Mum,dad, guess what?"

I screamed...they both looked at me puzzled and amazed . Prolly because they've never seen me like that before.

"I've been offered admission " I yelled and they both got up to hug me.

"Congratulations my baby" mum said with a wide smile on her face.

"My baby is finally a high school student" my father said and hugged me tightly.

I thanked them both and we settled for breakfast.

After breakfast, I went back to my room, opened my laptop and entered the school site.

I accepted the admission and took a deep breath.

I smiled and closed the laptop, I brought out my notepad and started writing a song I sang in the showers.

"Beautiful, beautiful love.

Please take me in ur arms

And make me yours forever" I hummed and smiled as I kept writing.

I just wished I could have the boldness to sing outside the way I do in my room...I'm just too shy.

I sighed and closed my book....I won't be doing anything for the rest of the day so I decided to start jotting down the things I would need for school.

I went back to check the email the school sent...and I saw that the resumption date was the following week.

"How did I not notice that before?" I thought and started thinking of things I would need to pack along when resuming.

The list was long but atleast I was able to write out everything I needed.

My dad already left for work and my mum was in our little garden tending the flowers...I walked up to her and handed over the list.

She smiled and patted me slowly..she collected the list and promised that they'd make sure they get everything before the due date.

I thanked her and went back inside.

I knew I was about to start a whole new life.

My parents got everything I needed for schooling and I was ready..

The D day arrived, I felt a little bit tensed up as my dad drove me to school that morning

I can't believe I won't be seeing my parents for a whole session.. I would miss them very much.

I remember my mum hugging me tightly and telling me how much she'd miss me.

This would be the first time I'd be leaving them...I don't know how I would cope without them cause they've always been coming through for me every single time.

I was so lost in thought that I didn't notice my dad had already parked in front of the school. He called my name, which brought me back to reality.

"We're here" he said and I looked up at the magnificent building.

I wasn't expecting the school to be this big. I walked out of the car slowly and he accompanied me to the principal's office.

As we walked through the hall way, I saw various students looking smart in their neatly ironed uniform.

I was nervous, I bent my head slowly as my father led the way..

We were directed to the principal's office and in no time, I was given my uniform,textbooks and the key to my locker.

I was also shown my classroom...I went back to the car and packed all my stuffs.

My dad helped me in carrying most of them...the porter took me to my room.

I would be staying in the room with three other people..that makes four of us in a room.

I was shown my bed space as I dropped my things.

I went back outside and hugged my dad tightly.

"I'll miss u soo much papa" I said amidst tears.

I sniffed and looked at him.

"You'll be fine okay ? Your mother and I would also miss u very much.

Now be a good girl and make us proud okay?"

He said and kissed my forehead.

He got into his car, waved and bid me farewell.

I was left alone, I dragged my feet back into the room and started arranging my stuffs.

I went to the locker and arranged my books, then I went back into the room to relax.

I removed my Glasses and laid on the bed.

Not long after, two girls who happened to be my roommates, walked into the room.

I greeted them curtly, the first Girl answered but the second girl only looked at me and walked straight to her bed.

"You're the new girl right?" The first girl said

" yes" I replied shortly.

"Oh, I'm betty by the way, I'm your bunkie.if you need anything, just let me know" she said with and smile and climbed her bed.

I sighed and brought out my book, I started reading because The principal already informed me that classes would be starting the following day.

I know that a lot of bad things would be happening in this high school.

I promised myself that I would focus on only my book and not make any friends that would want to influence me negatively in any way.

I was already exhausted from the drive and arranging of things....so I decided to get some sleep and hope the following day would be good.

I woke up the next morning, took my bath, made a light breakfast and wore my new school uniform.

Classes starts by 8am so I made sure I was ready before the time.

I wondered where the last roommate went, I didn't get to meet her throughout yesterday

I greeted Betty and the other roommate. Betty replied with a smile but the other girl just shrugged and walked away.

I don't know why she's behaving strange, or she probably doesn't like me.

"Are u also in class A?" Betty asked, jerking me out of my thoughts.

" yes I am" I replied .

"Same here,durrrrh....you'll have to wait for me then, let's head to the Class together" she said squealing excitedly.

I nodded my head and waited for her to be done and soon we were on our way to the class.

I decided to ask her about the other girl.

"Is your friend always like that?or is it that she doesn't like me...or did I do anything wrong?" I asked her.

"Naaa,she's probably not used To your presence yet.. and also, you should let your hair down sometimes, you're very pretty." She replied and I smiled gently.

"Thank you" I said.

"What about the last person, the owner of the last bed, or are we just three in that room?" I asked again, hoping she'd give me a reasonable answer.

"Oh, you mean Ariana. She's not around yet. Plus, she rarely sleeps in the hostel...she's always at her boyfriend's place but don't worry, you'll get to meet her soon." She replied.

We entered the class and I picked a desk beside Betty's own.

Atleast I'll have someone to talk to and ask questions...I thought.

Soon, the bell was rung for the first period and the teacher entered the class immediately.

I brought out my book and pen and was about jogging when the teacher Noticed me and called me.

"Hey, are u a new student?" He asked

"Yes sir" I replied knowing fully well that the whole class has turned their attention to me.

"Pls step out and give us a brief introsy toon about yourself" he said.

I looked at Betty and she nodded her head.

"It's alright, just go" she whispered and smiled.

I stepped out to the front of the class and was shocked to see the amount of people that were looking at me.

I swallowed hard and was about to speak when the whole class started screaming suddenly.

I looked up to see the cause of the shouting...I hadn't even started speaking yet

three hot guys walked in and I must confess they were extremely handsome.

"Decorum everyone" the teacher shouted.

"The three of u have started again this new session, always coming late to class and causing problems" he said angrily.

"Now, where were we?, go on miss" he smiled and faced me.

"My name is queen Jonathan, I'm happy to be here" I said.

"We don't want you here nerd" one of the student said and the whole class bursted into laughter except the teacher and Betty.

I dragged my feet back to my seat and bent my head feeling embarrassed.

"Don't mind those idiots" Betty said and hissed.

" who are those guys that came in the other time" I asked.

"Those are the three most handsome boys in the whole school, they are also rascals and bullies...I don't know why everyone is attracted to them" she replied. Whatever you do, just make sure you don't get on their bad side"she replied and hissed

I sighed and opened my book...I started writing.

I never knew high school would be like this.
