In Search of Love Season 1

"No, please don't beat me, please I beg you. I.. I swear I'll finish all these works before evening. I swear." Ivana woke up all sweating and panting. "Not again... not again God. I thought I'd be able to sleep peacefully without having sleeping pills at least for a day but no. I was wrong. Hash! why did I even forget to keep an extra stock of pills!"

While looking at the sky full of stars and moon, a drop of tear rolled down from her brown eyes.

"Why did you leave me alone dad? mom? You were supposed to be with me right? You were supposed to be with me and support me, sing with me laugh with me, share your opinions with me, make me smile when I go through pain. Why did you leave me alone?"

"It would have been better if you'd have taken me along with you that day. I was waiting for you people in my princess gown. Your princess was waiting for you dad, that my dad is bringing my favourite chocolate cake for me on my birthday with a Barbie on top of it. I was waiting for you mom. I was waiting for the tiara you'd make for me on my every birthday. But you left me forever. You promised me mom dad that you'd come soon with my cake and tiara. But you left me alone forever. I miss you mom dad. I hope you people are watching over me from where ever you are."

When she starts thinking about her parents, she remembers every sweet moments she spent with her parents. The cookies they baked together, the cute fights between mom and dad over the dress Ivana should wear on her birthdays, the songs they used to sing together, how her father taught her to play piano. A sweet smile escaped from her lips. But then she remembered the pool of blood in front of her eyes on her eleventh birthday and reality hit her.

She looks over the star for one more time and covers up her face with a fake smile that she has been wearing since years. Then she start penning her pain to her companion, her dear diary. The only one who knows the pain inside her heart, the only one who knows pain behind her fake smile!

"DEAR DIARY, I don't know what would I do if it wasn't you with whom I'd share my pain and my feelings. Thank you for always being there for me, for always listening to me without any complaints and letting me explain what I feel and go through. Guess what, I again had that nightmare. The one I've been trying to avoid all my life."

"I just want to know whether God has planned all the worst in the universe for me? Whenever I try to forget about everything although I know it's impossible, things just go opposite. it's been six years, I need to have sleeping pills every night or else I would have to face the nightmare again. And I guess this is what will happen to me all my life."

"You know what, I just wish I could change my fate, my life and my memories. I swear I could do anything to do so but alas! That's not what is going to happen. I need to face all the pains and agonies all my life. DEAR life, you've already given me enough troubles, would you be kind enough to leave a tiny bit of happiness in my life?"

Ivana woke up from her sleep when she heard the chirping of birds out in the sky. "Alas! I fell asleep last night while writing in my diary. Ugh what time is it? Oh shit! it's already seven. God no I'm late for my work."

After taking a quick shower, she put on her favourite white top and black pencil skirt that reaches up to her knees, skin stockings and a pair of black pencil heel. She put a pink lip balm on her cherry lips and mascara on her thick lashes, tiedvher hair into high ponytail and there she was all set to go to office.

She got her keys and locked the door of her apartment and headed towards her car. The car she's been using since last two years which she brought with the savings from her salary. Driving this car makes her feel proud and confident about herself.

After whatever she went through in her life, she struggled a lot for years in order to complete her studies. She worked as a tutor for ten students a day and studied all night in order to graduate. And today, here she is, IVANA WILLIAMS, the MANAGING HEAD of one of the company of the largest chain of groups of industries in the US, "THE MERCHANT GROUP OF INDUSTRIES."

She is the managing head of the "MERCHANT TEXTILE" which is one of the most contributing company under the MERCHANT GROUPS OF INDUSTRIES. After whatever she had to go through, she learnt how to keep patience and that was the most appreciated character of hers after her looks and beauty.

"Good morning ma'am."

"Good morning Mr. Wilson, how's your day going?"

"Very good ma'am. And I hope you're having a good day as well. Umm well these are the files of the proposals of six different industries which want to collaborate with us for the upcoming Fashion event next month showcasing our new products."

"Well I'll watch over them and let you know in an hour, you may leave now Mr. Wilson."

"Sure Ma'am."

"Mr. Wilson have you had your medicine for blood pressure that you should have on nine in the morning?"

"Yes ma'am I did. I'm just your personal assistant ma'am but I'm really overwhelmed with the care you showcase towards this old man."

"You're not only my personal assistant but my mentor. You've guided me through all these years about the business and through out the time. And also a teacher who taught me the tactics of business, surely I'd care for you. And for God's sake you're only fifty six, you'll be working with me for at least a decade or more so young man take care of yourself okay?"

Mr. Wilson felt warm in his heart from this kind of words from Ivana. With a huge smile on his face he replied, "Yes ma'am, I'll be back in an hour then."

Ivana then got engrossed in her work not until her stomach growled reminding her that she had nothing in the morning before coming up in the office. So she ordered for a coffee and sandwich and had it in hurry. Then she continued doing her work again.

Work is the only thing that diverts her mind from her pain. Therefore she always keeps herself busy with as much as work she can do.

"Yeah Mr. Wilson could you come to my cabin please?"

"Sure ma'am I'll there be in jiffy."

"Come in" Ivana replied after hearing a knock on her door. Mr. Wilson entered the cabin and they started discussing about the proposals and the upcoming Fashion Event.

"Mr. Wilson as you know this upcoming Fashion Event is really important for us. It will be showcasing our new products which is summer collection of all kinds of fashionable dresses suitable for parties and events. All the workers have worked hard for this and this event is targeted to be the best event under MERCHANT GROUPS OF INDUSTRIES this year. So there's no chance of compromises in it."

"And after looking out at all of these proposals, this company actually seems to be capable of fulfilling all our needs. It can provide all number of models we want and these models are actually well trained and experienced as well. I've also checked about the background of the company and it seems quite good and has positive feedbacks as well. So I guess this will be the best one."

"Sure ma'am. I'll arrange a meeting soon with this company and let you know about this as soon as possible. I'll take a leave now." With that, Mr. Wilson left her cabin and Ivana started doing her other works again.

After about an hour, her cell phone rang. She looked at the caller id and a small smile escaped from her cherry lips. "Hey Miya, so finally you got free time to call your best friend huh. I guess either your boyfriend is sleeping or busy. That's why you got some time for me right?"

"Oh baby, don't be jealous. I missed my best friend. Can't I call my best friend when I miss her?"

"You're surely up to something, aren't you Miya?" Ivana asked raising her brow.

"Ahahah, you're thinking too much... ahahaha... You and your detective mind."

"Is it really?" Ivana asked still not being able to believe her.

"Actually...."

"Caught you. There you go. I'm all ears now."

"I was just thinking you'd go out with me tomorrow. You know we'll do some shopping and share drinks and eat pastries and click some photos you know and....."

"You know Miya that's not going to happen. You know me since thirteen years." Ivana cut her off in the middle.

"Darling, I know you're hurt. I know you're going through a lot. And I am aware of the pain inside your heart. But until when? You'll have to try to move on right?"

"I don't know Miya, I don't know. It's not that I haven't tried but it isn't that easy. And celebrating tomorrow's day is surely not going to help me. I know you're doing this to make me happy but sorry darling."

"It's okay darling. I know it's not easy for you. I'm totally fine with it. You just stay happy and cool, take care of yourself. That's all I want. And yes, meet me soon. It's already been two weeks since I've seen you."

"Ah well I guess you gotta be free from your boyfriend for that." Ivana giggled.

"I'm always ready baby. Okay now see you. Bye bye take care"

"Bye."

As she cut the call, she went numb after remembering tomorrow's day. Yes the day when she lost her parents thirteen years ago. Her birthday, which she only remembers as the most dark day of her life.
