In Love With The Vengeful Goddess

Author: : Nico Krayk
Genre: Romance
Sabrina was abandoned in a village for twenty years. When she returned to her parents, she caught her fiancé cheating on her with her adopted sister. To get back at him, she slept with his uncle, Charles. It was no secret that Charles had remained celibate after the untimely passing of his fiancée three years ago. But on that fateful night, his sexual desires got the best of him. He just couldn't resist her. Following their night of passion, Charles declared that he wanted nothing to do with her. Sabrina was pissed. She rubbed her aching waist and said, "You call that sex? I didn't even feel it at all. What a waste of time!" Charles' face darkened instantly. He pinned her against the wall and asked menacingly, "Didn't you moan so shamelessly while I was inside you?" One thing led to another and Sabrina soon became the aunt of her ex-fiancé. At the engagement party, the cheat was fuming, but he couldn't let out his anger because he had to respect her. The elites all thought Sabrina was one crass and uneducated failure. However, one day, she showed up at an exclusive party as an esteemed guest who had billions of dollars to her name. "People call me a leech and a gold-digger. But that's all bullshit! Why do I need someone else's gold when I have my own gold mine?" Sabrina uttered with her head held up high. This utterance shook the entire city!

Chapter 1 You Are Bold

In the luxurious confines of Wold Hotel's presidential suite, the temperature seemed to soar.

Sabrina White found herself beneath a man on the opulent bed, the air conditioning sending chills across her skin as their clothes were shed, temporarily breaking the spell of her intoxication.

The man above her, panting heavily, bestowed upon her neck fiery yet clumsy kisses. Sabrina, inexperienced as she was, found herself unable to withstand such seduction. She bit her lip, a suppressed moan escaping her, which only served to incite the man further. He responded with a low growl, sealing her lips with his own.

Sabrina felt herself swept away like a river in spate, each of the man's forceful movements creating overwhelming waves within her.

Soon, any remnant of her rationality was lost.

She became a shapeless, breathless entity on the bed, the dim light casting elongated shadows of their entwined forms.

They surrendered to their desires, seeking to fuse themselves into one another.

The following morning, Sabrina awoke, her body aching. Her gaze met a pair of deep, enigmatic eyes.

Recognition dawned as she saw the man's face. Jumping out of bed, she quickly draped herself in the blanket, memories of the previous night flooding back.

"Oh my God..." Sabrina stood motionless, engulfed by a tidal wave of embarrassment and frustration.

She had been intimate with Charles Wilson!

Charles was no stranger to her.

Known for his youthful brilliance, decisiveness, ruthlessness, and striking handsomeness, he was a man often described in superlatives.

Additionally, rumors swirled about his personal life.

It was said he had remained single for nearly three years following a past relationship, with no other women mentioned.

"Who else did you think it would be?" Charles' icy tone snapped her back to reality. "Liam?"

Shirtless, he reached for a cigarette and lighter on the bedside table. Lighting it up, he arched an eyebrow, his gaze piercing as he leaned against the headboard casually.

Sabrina's expression changed at the mention of Liam Wilson, but she quickly masked her emotion.

Charles exhaled smoke and spoke with an air of authority. "You had quite the courage to get into my bed."

A shiver ran down Sabrina's spine, accompanied by a twinge of guilt.

Never had she imagined finding herself in Charles' bed under such circumstances.

He was, after all, Liam's uncle.

Liam was her former fiance.

However, the moment she found about his affair with Rylie White, she decided to break up with him.

"Cat got your tongue?" Charles' eyebrow arched, a cold look in his eyes.

"Charles, your humor is unique," Sabrina replied, embarrassed. "We're all grown-ups, and places like Nobility Bar are for enjoyment, aren't they?"

She faintly recalled visiting Nobility Bar with her best friend, seeking to lift her spirits. Her friend had even tossed a pile of money on the table, encouraging her to choose any man she fancied.

Yet, she hadn't imagined this would result in a night with Charles, a man she would normally steer clear of offending.

"Is this merely for amusement, or are you using me to spite Liam?" Charles' grip on her chin was firm, his tobacco scent overwhelming, bringing with it a palpable tension and an air of interrogation.

He remembered the previous night at the bar; Sabrina had mentioned wanting to get back at Liam, but he hadn't realized he would be part of her plan.

Chapter 2 Your Performance Was Subpar

Charles and Sabrina had only met a few times before.

On the occasions they did meet, she was always dutifully at Liam's side, acting like a docile girlfriend. This sweetness was starkly different from the irritation now etched on her face.

When Sabrina heard Charles' words, a nameless anger flared within her. "Spite him? Liam didn't deserve it," she spat, her voice laden with scorn.

In the past, Sabrina's mentions of Liam were filled with admiration and love. Charles found her current bitterness and scorn unexpected.

Sabrina, oblivious to Charles's thoughts, was certain she wasn't reckless enough to use Charles to spite Liam, that deceiver.

Charles, known for his ruthlessness, wasn't someone to trifle with. Using him for revenge against Liam was akin to signing her own demise.

Moreover, Charles' heart belonged to another, and Sabrina had no desire to entangle herself in that complexity.

Her ending up in Charles' bed was nothing but a fluke.

Reflecting on their fervent night together, a deep sense of bitterness surged in Sabrina.

She had lost her virginity, and now faced misunderstanding.

"Sabrina, what a fool you are," she chastised herself.

Eventually, Sabrina looked up, her eyes brimming with tears she struggled to hold back.

"What occurred last night was an accident. Liam and I are done, and I wouldn't use you to retaliate against him. I'm not that senseless, am I?"

Numerous women aspired to join the Wilson family, but Sabrina had lost all such desires.

Revenge?

Absurd!

She was merely grappling with her own experiences.

Raised by her grandmother in the countryside, Sabrina, the true White, contrasted sharply with Rylie, her adopted sister who had taken her place and been spoiled by her parents.

Since Sabrina returned to the White family, only her grandmother and Liam, her childhood betrothed, had shown her any kindness.

Liam was like a lifeline to a drowning Sabrina-her only salvation.

But finding Liam with Rylie shattered her last vestige of hope.

"I don't give a damn about your history with Liam, but let's keep last night private. After all, I'm Liam's uncle."

Charles maintained a stern look, his mature allure apparent yet distant.

Sabrina sniffled, feeling the implicit warning in his words.

Liam's uncle? But they had been intimate just last night.

She scorned the thought.

Men were nothing but beasts in disguise!

Determined to disrupt his composed facade, Sabrina met his gaze unflinchingly.

"Anything else?" Charles' frown deepened.

Sabrina, silent at first, rummaged in her pocket and eventually threw a ten-dollar bill before Charles.

"You're right, last night should remain a secret. But you're quite out of practice, aren't you? Last night was mediocre at best. A novice could have done better. Frankly, I was left unsatisfied. Here's ten dollars; I'm being generous."

The bill landed softly before him.

Charles' face turned dark, his usual poise crumbling.

"Sabrina White!"

As Sabrina walked away, Charles' angry voice followed her. "Let me remind you of something. Your body last night was far more revealing than your words."

Sabrina paused briefly, then left, a mix of anger and shame swirling within her.

Charles' eyes, usually cold, flickered with annoyance at the sight of the ten-dollar bill.

Noticing a bloodstain on the bed sheet, his eyes momentarily betrayed emotion, then returned to their usual calm.

Chapter 3 What A Jerk!

What a jerk!

Externally, Charles seemed respectable, but internally, he was devoid of shame.

Sabrina's fragmented memories of the previous night haunted her. She had been at the mercy of Charles, pleading for release. She yearned for a place to hide her embarrassment.

After exiting the hotel, Sabrina hailed a cab home, her expression betraying her inner turmoil.

Her visit to the bar had been an attempt to escape her sorrows, yet despite her inebriation, her problems persisted.

The White family's residence was nestled on Rainbow Bay's hillside, in an affluent neighborhood.

By the time Sabrina arrived home, it was midday, and she felt utterly drained. A servant halted her at the entrance. "Sabrina, your mother and sister await you."

Sabrina glanced at the servant, her gaze cool.

The staff's disrespectful attitude reflected her lowly status within the family.

Sabrina had spent twenty years in the countryside, sent away due to superstitious beliefs. Her grandmother had been her only companion.

Without her grandmother's health issues, her parents probably wouldn't have allowed her return.

Meanwhile, Rylie, the adopted girl, had been lavished with all the privileges and affection rightfully belonging to Sabrina.

"Understood," Sabrina responded, heading towards the living room with indifference.

Sabrina's only concern was her grandmother, now in intensive care.

If it weren't for her...

Sabrina sighed. As soon as she entered the living room, her mother's sharp, scornful voice pierced the air. "Staying out all night, Sabrina? You've got some nerve! Your antics in the countryside may have been overlooked, but here, your behavior reflects on the White family. Any shame you bring upon us will be unforgivable."

Millie White's gaze was filled with hostility, as if Sabrina were an adversary, not her daughter.

Sabrina had harbored doubts about her own identity. However, her grandmother had assured her, claiming to have been the one to carry her from the delivery room, confirming her true lineage.

"Mom," Rylie interjected, seizing the moment to appear sympathetic. Taking Millie's hand, she defended Sabrina. "Sabrina's just returned. It's natural she has habits from the countryside that need time to adjust."

Then, with a heavy heart, she murmured, "It's all my fault. If not for me, she wouldn't have had such a tough life."

"What does that have to do with you?" Millie consoled Rylie, her tone sympathetic. "When we brought you from the orphanage, you were just an infant. You've been a source of joy for us ever since. Unlike some, you've always been a good girl."

Sabrina scoffed internally.

Was she not a good girl?

She never had the opportunity.

She kept her face expressionless, finding it pointless to argue with Millie.

Her parents had been distant for as long as she could remember, their involvement limited to a monthly allowance. They were like strangers to her.

Why waste energy arguing over strangers' favoritism?

"Sabrina." Rylie took Sabrina's hand, masking her satisfaction with feigned innocence. "Don't be upset with Mom. She's just worried about your safety. Staying out late could tarnish our family's reputation. Minor scandals might not hurt us much, but think of how Mom and Dad would feel. I know I've had many privileges growing up, and they've treated me like their own. But you're their real daughter, and now that you're back..."

Rylie's voice trailed off, feigning emotional distress.

Sabrina watched Rylie's performance, both impressed and incredulous.

"What are you doing?" Millie scolded Sabrina sharply. "She's your younger sister. I won't tolerate any arrogance or unruliness you might have picked up in the countryside. If you cause her even a slight bit of distress, I'll not let it slide."

Millie handed Rylie a credit card. "Aren't you going shopping with friends? Have fun. Buy whatever you like. Now, I need to speak with Sabrina."

"But, Mom..." Rylie hesitated, then left with a final note of feigned concern. "Sabrina, please be gentle with Mom. She's not in the best health."

Sabrina let out a bitter laugh.

She had barely spoken since her return, yet now faced accusations of mistreating her sister, disrespecting her parents, and being arrogant and unruly.

Okay, then!
