Heather Hathaway looked out the window in her class. She badly wanted this school year to be over. This year has been very difficult for her. Starting with her best friend moving miles away...and then her parents divorcing...it just seemed as if everything was falling apart in her life....

Her parents divorcing...this was the part that bothered her the most. She had known that her parents relationship wasn't okay. The yellings...the cursing and all the fighting.. but she just didn't expect them to get a divorce! Why will they want to leave each other after being together for so long? What about her?

Heather blamed her father for everything. He is the one who caused the divorce. He is the one who decided to go off with some woman... claiming that she is his first love...just thinking about him made her really angry. How can he just abandon her and her mother like this?

On top of all of that she was really worried about her mother. After the divorce, she has been awfully quiet..it must have affected her a lot. Heather felt really bad about it and what made it even worse was the fact that she couldn't do anything about it. She had to just watch her suffer.

She was still lost in her thoughts when someone tapped her from behind. It was a classmate, a very annoying classmate Kelvin. Heather rolled her eyes. This was another thing bothering her. This entire school... everything just irritated her. "What's up Heather? A penny for your thoughts?" Kelvin asked smirking at her.

It was the last day of the school term....Heather struggled hard to control her temper. She didn't want to cause a disturbace on the last day. "Please leave me alone Kelvin. I really don't want to deal with you" she replied. Heather had a lot going on in her mind and he was just being a jerk..

"Why? Why don't you want to deal with me? We should have some fun today. We won't be seeing each other for a few weeks after today"Kelvin said. He really liked pestering Heather she always fought back..and it was fun for him. She was...a source of entertainment for him.

Heather swore under her breath. she is not going to lose her temper. She is going to play it cool to the end. After today, she won't see him for a while. Heather frowned when she remembered that the holidays were only a few weeks long and she will have to come back again very soon for her last year of high school.

Kelvin was disappointed that Heather didn't give him the reaction that he wanted. What is going on? This is so not like her. She should at least try to fight back or yell at him to buzz off, the way that she always did... why is she so quiet? He was determined to get a reaction from her. "Hey Heather....why won't you play with me?" He asked poking her from behind.

Heather had had enough. She completely lost her temper with him. Why does he continuously have to be a jerk?? Why won't he just leave her alone? She had a lot going on in her mind as it was already...can't he be a little considerate and just leave her alone when she asked him to?

"What really is wrong with you? Why won't you just leave me alone? Why do you keep bothering me like this?! Don't you have even the slightest consideration for other people? You keep pestering me even when I tell you not to. Am I a joke to you? Am are having fun with all of this?!" Heather yelled at him.

Kelvin smiled happily. He got what he wanted....a reaction from Heather. But even more than that she had just gotten herself in trouble. That is just great. "I'm happy since I already got what I wanted but I don't think that you will be happy...the Geography teacher just saw you, you see.." Kelvin said.

Heather cursed under her breath again. Kelvin has to be the worst person alive. how is she ever going to explain this? She stood up as the teacher entered the class and walked up to her. She glared at Kelvin. Why does he have to do this to her every single time? What will he gain?

"Do you mind explaining to me what all of this yelling is about Heather? Do you think that this school is a place where you can come to and raise your voice whenever you want? Or you think that you can do whatever you want since it's the last day?" The teacher asked. Heather sighed. Now she's going to get it..

"I told her the exact same thing sir but she just won't listen to me. She keeps raising her voice at people whenever she wants. Do you think that this is right? I don't think so either sir. I think that she should be punished" Kelvin said. He sure was having lots of fun. Heather just made his day.

The teacher looked at Kelvin. How dare he put on a show in front of him? He had seen everything that happened when he walked past the class. Derrick is clearly the one who provoked Heather first! And besides, Derrick is quite popular in school for being a bully. He has to receive a warning today..

"Keep quiet! Do you think that I don't know what is going on here? I clearly saw you poking her first. Why were you trying to annoy her? What do you gain from being a bully?!" The teacher yelled. The students at Sevit High were just too much of an headache. Why are they always like this?

Heather was glad that at least finally someone took her side. Someone saw through Kelvinfor once and realized that she is not the one at fault. "Thank you so much sir for realizing that I am not the one at fault. He keeps annoying me. I don't know what to do anymore..." The teacher interrupted Heather..

"Do you think that you have done something grand? Is that why you can talk back? No matter what you shouldn't have raised your voice at him! If he does something to upset don't you think that you should notify a teacher? Seriously I can't put up with any one of you. I'm just going to call in your parents" the teacher said.

Heather and Kelvin's heart sank into her stomach. For Heather she didn't want her mother to be involved in this. For goodness sake she is going through a lot already. She already had a hard time because of the divorce...why does she have to be called in? That can't happen at all.

For Kelvin, his father was the person that scared him the most. That man....he is a monster...he took it upon himself to make her life hell...if he gets called in..then he was done for today. He can't have him come here and find out that he is a constant bully in school! It will be the end of him.

"Sir, do you really have to call our parents? My mother...she can't come to this school. I mean she is already so busy already...if you call her here you will only be adding to her stress....why don't you just punish me instead...please...don't call my mom here..." Heather pleaded with the teacher.

"Yes Heather is right. You don't have to call our parents. It's just a small incident right? You can just give the both of us some kind of punishment....our parents don't need to have anything to do with this...please...sir...don't call my father..." Kelvin pleaded. He will be dead meat if his father finds out.

"Just shut it the both of you. If you didn't want your parents to find out about what you do in school then you should have behaved better! Now come with me to the teacher's lounge...we will wait for your parents...then we can talk about it with your parents better"!" The teacher said.

Cynthia and Lily were walking towards the gate of Kents High with thier luggage. The semester was already over... and since Kents High was a boarding school, they lived in the dorms until the holidays came. Then they all went home. Cynthia had something on her mind though. She had heard something as she walked down the halls of Kents High that morning.. she didn't know if it was true or not.

Lily noticed that Cynthia wasn't her usual cheerful and talkative self.it seemed like there was something bothering her. She leaned closer to her. "What is going on with you Cynthia? Why do you look like you have a lot on your mind?" Lily asked her friend. It was rare to see her serious.

"You see Lily I heard something in the hall today. I don't know if it's true or not but I'm sure it's going to be really amazing if it's true. You just won't believe it Lily. It's really great" Cynthia said delaying the big news. She wanted it to be grand when she told Lily. It was already a very big deal on it's own anyway.

Lily was sudden interested. What is Cynthia going on and on about? It must be really big since she is so excited. "What is it? What is the big news? You seem pretty excited about it so it must be really big news. Come on now tell me all about it. Tell me..tell me" Lily urged poking her hand.

"You see...I heard in the hall today that Sky is going to come back from abroad very soon. What's even bigger is that he's going to come back to Sevit High when he returns. So starting from next semester, Roy and I are going to be classmates! I still can't believe that something like this will happen. It's really great Lily. Just think about it. Sky attending the same school as us!" Cynthia exclaimed.

Lily left her mouth hanging open for a few seconds. What is going on? Sky is coming back? He was a student of Kents High until two years ago when he left to go study abroad. Why is she suddenly coming back? "Sky is coming back? But why? He made such a fuss when he left saying he won't be back until he finishes college.. why is he back?" Lily asked.

"I know right? I am as shocked as you are. He kicked up such a fuss when he left... saying that he won't ever be back...and now he is suddenly coming back? Isn't that just amazing? But even more amazing is the fact that he is going to start attending Kents High" Cynthia said.

Lily cleared her throat. "Well I don't think that you should be surprised that he's going to attend Kents High. If he is back in the country he should attend Kents High. What other school will he go to? Have you forgotten that his father owns Kents High? The chairman of MK group won't let his son attend some other school apart from Kents High" Lily said.

Cynthia thought about what Lily said. She is right. Roy's father owns Kents High...the most prestigious school in all the country...and Sevit High is an affiliate of Mk group. One of the top earning companies in the country right now. There is no way that Roy will attend somewhere else. "You are right Lily. It only makes sense that he comes here" she said.

"But come to think of it I think Kents High is going to change a lot now that Sky is coming back. He is the heir to the powerful MK group...I can already see a war brewing. There is going to be a tough competition among all the girls here. Who will end up with Roy in the end?" Lily asked. it really was something that they had to think about it. After all...they knew just how important it was...to side with the right people.

You don't need to worry about who the person who will end up with Sky.I think that we all know that it's going to be me" Lily and Cynthia both turned to see Rachel talking to them.

Rachel Scott...the biggest bitch in all of Kents High. The both of them knew better than to get in her way. Cynthia especially didn't want anything to do with her.

"Of course Rachel. We know that no one can compete with you for Sky. And besides, everyone knows the relationship between your family and Sky's family...the two of you are going to end up together. it's something that's been decided upon a long time ago" Cynthia said. She really hated the fact that she was sucking up to Rachel like this but it was better than getting in her bad books.

Lily was going to say something to Rachel..she really didn't like her arrogant and bossy attitude...but Cynthia held her back. The both of them walked away from Rachel.

Rachel stood there thinking after the both of them were gone. Sky is coming back? Why? It was just so confusing. why will Roy choose to come back to this place suddenly coming back like this?

When he left two years ago he made it clear that he wasn't going to be back anytime soon . And if he is coming back why didn't she know about it?

Rachel saw Mike coming. She knew that Mikewould definitely know about Sky coming back...but she hesitated about asking him. Given what happened between the three of them two years ago...he won't want to get involved in anything that has to do with Sky And besides, asking Mike about something like this..

However Rachel's curiosity over shadowed her sense of guilt and she walked up to him

"Mike..." She called as softly as she could. He turned to look at her. She felt a piercing in her heart when Mike looked at her like that...those eyes once looked at her with admiration and now...Rachel shook her head. She can't start to feel guilty for anything now. She already came this far...she already decided on what she wanted two years ago.... Mike definitely can't give her that.

Mike struggled not to think about the painful memories hunting him when he saw Rachel... sometimes he wondered how on Earth he had managed to continue to go to Kents High with Rachel here. "What do you want?" He asked trying to sound uninterested.

"I guess you already heard about Sky coming back... seeing that you look so stiff seeing me" Rachel noted. Lucas never changed...he was still the same old Mike...

Mike cursed himself under his breath. How can she know what he is thinking just by looking at him. "So I heard he is coming back...what about it? You must be really happy" Mikesaid. Deep down, He wanted Rachel to tell him that she wasn't happy...that she was just as upset as he is that Sky is finally coming back..

"Of course I am happy. Why won't I be?" Rachel said.

Mike sighed. So much for his wishing. He tried not to show his emotions. "Congratulations then. Please excuse me. I really need to get going now" Mike said.

"But...why do you think that Sky is coming back? I mean he said that he wasn't going to come back until after he finishes college...what made him suddenly change his mind?" Rachel asked Mike. She knew...that no matter how many times she hurt Mike...he won't ignore her.

Mike turned to look at her. "I don't know. I guess he wanted to come back and learn how things work here. Either way you are the one who is going to be benefiting from all of this..." Mike said.

Rachel smiled. Of course she is the one who will benefit the most. But there was something that was bothering her. "Why do you know so much? I thought you said that you didn't keep in touch with him" She said.

"I didn't keep in touch with him. I don't any reason to do that. As the hier to JK enterprises my father insists that I know everything that happens to Sky" Mike said. He and Sky were going to pitted against each other...whether they want or or not doesn't matter at all.

"I see...so you are worried about him...why exactly are you doing this Mike?... Why can't the both of you just work our whatever happened between you guys? It's okay if you really hate me now but what about Skyy? What really happened between the both of you?" Rachel asked Mike.

Mike suddenly got defensive. "I'm not worried about him! There is no reason for me to be worried. And if you are so curious about what happened with Sky and I...why don't you try asking him?" Mike asked.

Rachel sighed. Even if she did find a way to ask him... he won't give her an answer. "Anyway I think it's a really good thing that Sky is coming back after two years don't you think?" Rachel asked.

Mike scoffed. "It's just the arrival of Lucifer at a devil's school. Sky coming here is only going to make a terrible school even worse" Mike said. Sky should have just stayed abroad why did he have to come back and make everyone uncomfortable like this? He should have just stayed there at least until he finished college as he planned earlier. Why...just why..does he have to come back?

Mike turned to walk away from Rachel.

"How are you getting along with your step mother?" Rachel called after him.

Mike stoped. "I don't have a step mother. My father married some woman but I don't have a step mother" Mike said and continued walking away.

Rachel sighed. The feeling of having a step parent that you don't like at all...she understood that feeling pretty well.

Heather was sitting in thier living room with her mother. Her heart was pounding. Her mother had kept quiet ever since they returned from her school...the teacher really did call thier parents after all thier pleading. She had thought that her mother would throw a fuss and yell at her but she was silent... completely silent...and that silence scared the hell out of her.

"Mom...I'm really sorry for causing trouble and making you coming to my school. I really didn't mean to do that. I didn't mean to trouble you at all it's just that that person kept bothering me and pestering me....I was really frustrated" Heather said. She wanted her mother to say anything...just anything at all to her..

"Heather...I have something to tell you. I'm going to change your school. When school reopens again, you won't be in Kents High" Margaret said.

It took Heather a second to process that information. What is going on? Her mother suddenly wants to change her school? Why? It couldn't be.... "Mom..are you going to change my school because of what happened today? Mom you really don't need to do that...I am fine really. Besides I have only one year left at high school anyway...I can just finish the last year at Kents High" Heather said.

"Heather how long has this been going on? How long has that kid been bothering you? You should have said something if someone was bothering you! Why did you keep quiet about it?" Margaret asked Heather.

"I didn't tell you about it because I don't want to bother you mom...it's really not a big deal. I'm fine really mom...you don't have to change my school because of something like this" Heather said.

"Anyway Heather I'm not changing your school because of that. I already decided that I am going to change your school a long time ago....you are going to start Sevit High. it's a boarding school...you will have to live in the dorms....I hope that you can do that Heather" Margaret said.

Heather took more than a minute this time to process the information that she was hearing. Kents High...she had heard of that school. You can't live in this country and not know of Sevit High...the most prestigious boarding school in all the country. A school fit for the 1% and attended by only the 1%....and just as it sounded the school was really expensive....but why will she be attending such a school?

"Mom...why do I have to go to a boarding school all of a sudden? What are you going to do if I suddenly go off to a boarding school?" Heather asked her mother.

"Don't worry about me Heather. I will be just fine. I have my own reasons for wanting you to go there...please don't say no Heather" Margaret pleaded. She didn't want her daughter to be part of her problems. She knew...that she had been a complete wreck ever since her husband Philip left her. It's been really difficult for her..and it's only going to get even more difficult as time went on...the best thing to do now was to just send Heather away...so she won't be part of her problems..

Heather thought about it. Going off to a boarding school... thinking about it again...it's a really appealing thought. She will be free from all of the problems troubling her a year earlier than she had imagined. She won't have to be sad seeing her mother wear herself away in depression. She won't be a part of it anymore..

But isn't she being selfish right now? Because of her own selfishness she is going to leave her mother.... because she doesn't want to be bothered....she prepared herself to say no....she can't be so selfish..

"Heather...you really should not be so worried about me. I'll be fine even after you leave. It's no big deal at all. I really want you to graduate from that school. It will be much more easier for you to get into a university with a high school diploma from Sevit High. I already paid for it. So listen to me...and besides, it's only one year just as you said. You have only one year to spend at the school" Margaret said. She really needed to convince her daughter to go. She didn't want to be here when she starts to really suffer.

Heather smiled. There is no reason for her to feel guilty for anything anymore. She is just going to go to the school as her mother wanted. She already told her not to worry and to just go....then it isn't selfishness anymore. "Alright mom...I'm going to listen to you. I'm going to go to Kents High as you want me to" Heather said.

Margaret smiled. She was happy that Heather agreed to listen to her about this. "Thank you for listening to me Heather. I...." Margaret's speech was interrupted by her sudden coughing. She quickly covered her mouth with her handkerchief. "Water..get me water Heather...." Margaret managed to say in between coughs.

Heather quickly got up and went to get her mother the water. She was really worried about her. Is she sick because of the divorce? Something told her that she really shouldn't be going to Sevit High but she ignored that voice. She had to go that school.

Margaret stopped coughing. She removed the cloth that she had used to cover her mouth...it was stained with blood.....

Skystood in the airport looking around. It really didn't change much. It was still pretty much the same as when he left two years ago. He really hated the fact that he was back to this place. What really is wrong with his father? Why on Earth did he have to make him come back?

Sky looked around the airport. He saw some men wearing black suits....Roy immediately recognized them. They work for his father. Did he really have to send guards to come pick him up? He can't go with them....he has somewhere else that he has to go to first.

Sky made a decision.he is going to leave the airport without them knowing.

Sky knew that no matter what he said to them they were not going to let him go. They were going to make sure that they took him back to his father. He didn't want that

Sky turned. He tried to walk away from them so they won't notice him. He bumped into someone.

Derrick looked closely at the person that had just bumped into him. He had come to the airport to pick up his brother and someone had walked into him while he was waiting Wait... isn't this Roy? It was definitely him! But what is he doing here? When did he get back from abroad?

"Sky...when did you get back? I thought you were abroad" Derrick said. He was really surprised to see him.

Sky looked at the guy talking to him. He called his name so he must be someone who knows him....but he couldn't remember where he knew this person from. "Do you know me?" Sky asked him.

Derrick was hurt. It's been only two years...how can Sky not remember him? "It's been only two years.....how can you not remember me? It's me..... Derrick. I go to Kents High" Derrick introduced himself.

Sky sighed. He still didn't remember him but since he says that he attends Kents High...he must know him really well.

Sky turned to look at the guards that were sent to pick him up. They had already started to look for him. He had to leave this place now or they were going to see him soon. "I'm really sorry but I have to go now" Sky said. He didn't have the time to chat with this person..

Derrick looked at Sky. He looked like he was in a lot of hurry. He looked behind hi and saw a couple of men in Black suits. Derrick immediately understood what was going on. Those people were probably trying to find Sky..but he doesn't want to go with them. "Hey are you trying to get away from those people?" Derrick asked him pointing to the men.

Sky looked at him. "How do you know that?" He asked him.

"Well you see I have eyes. Do you need help getting away from them? I can help you" Derrick said. It's not as if he really wanted to pick up his brother anyway. He really needed something to do right now.

"You can help me?!" Sky asked. he immediately controlled himself. "Why will you do that?" He asked.

"Because I'm bored. I'm supposed to pick up my brother but I really don't want to do it. So...do you need my help?" Derrick asked.

Sky looked back. Those people will catch up with him anytime soon . "Alright... fine. What are you going to do?"

"Come closer...I'll tell you" Derrick said. Sky got closer to him and Derrick started to whisper.

"Do you think that this is going to work?" Sky asked him.

Derrick smiled. "Trust me. I'm a pro when it comes to running away" he said with a grin.

Mike walked into the house. He really hated coming back to this place. It meant that he had to continue to see that woman Vanessa until the holidays were over.

As if having to see her face everyday wasn't enough torture for him she just won't leave him alone. Every single chance that she got she made sure that she pestered him.

When he entered the house, his father was sitting in the living room with Vanessa.

"Welcome home Mike" Vanessa said enthusiastically. Mike glared at her without saying a word. She was already used to this cold behavior of his...but why does it hurt so much each time?

Mike mumbled a greeting to his father and started to walk upstairs

"What do you think that you are doing?" Felix, Mike's father asked him.

"What I think that I am doing? I just returned from school...I'm going to my room to rest" Mike said. He completely ignored Vanessa. She is not worth any of his attention anyway.

"Mike... didn't you see your mother when you walked in? How can you ignore her like this?" Felix asked. He really didn't like the fact that Lucas treated Vanessa like this. she is doing everything to play the role of a mother for him and he just insists on pushing her away!

"Mother?...I'm sure if my mother were here I definitely won't ignore her. But as it is I don't see my mother here" Lucas said. His father can try all he wants..he isn't going to accept such a woman as his mother. Vanessa...she doesn't deserve to be called mother by anyone.

"Mike! When are you going to stop behaving like a child? When are you going to stop throwing tantrums like a child? For goodness sake you are eighteen years old. Isn't it about time that you matured?" Felix asked.

"Matured? I think maturity has nothing to do with this father. I am never going to accept your wife as my mother..so please...please stop trying" Mike said.

"What? How can you say that to my face? Do you even know how hard she is trying to play the role of a mother for you?!" Felix yelled at his son..

"I never asked anyone to do anything for me did I? There was never a time when you treated my mother as your wife...so why do I have to treat your wife as my mother?" Mike asked him.

Felix lost his temper then. He just couldn't put up with this bullshit that Mike was giving him. "What?! Why do you hate Vanessa so much? Do you still think that she is the reason your mom abandoned you? Vanessa had nothing to do with that!" He said.

Mike was very livid now. He still remembered the conversation that Vanessa had with his mother the night before she left. "It's not her fault? You cheated on your wife with her...and it's still not her fault? I really don't want to talk about this. The both of you can do whatever you want....just leave me out of it" Mike said and walked upstairs..

Felix turned to Vanessa. He could see how hurt she was. "I'm really sorry Vanessa...that my son keeps acting this way to you. I know that you are a very good woman...I don't know why Lucas keeps behaving this way to you" he said.

Vanessa smiled at him. "You don't have to worry about me...I'm really fine. I'm not going to give up on Mike....I'm going to keep trying...until he finally opens his heart to me" Vanessa said. She had never wanted anything and not gotten it before..

Derrick's heart was beating fast as he walked towards his house. He knew that he would be in a lot of trouble once he got home. He had helped Sky leave the airport and by the time that he came back his brother's plane has already landed. He prayed that his brother won't be home yet. Then he could tell his father and step mother that he waited for him but couldn't find him.

That prayer however went unanswered. As soon as he entered the house his father, brother and step mother were waiting for him..

Derrick sighed. There was no saving him now. These people just won't let him be now.

"What happened Derrick? I thought that you were supposed to pick up my son from the airport? Where did you go to? You left Xander all alone.....what if something had happened to him? What if he had lost his way? What would you have done then?!" Vivian, Derrick's step mother and Xander's mother said.

Derrick rolled his eyes Xander has only been gone for six months....how can he possibly lose his way? Leave it to Vanessa to make a big deal out of everything..

"What happened Derrick? I sent you to the airport so that you could bring Xander back home what did you do?" Marcus....his father said

"Mom....I was so scared...I looked around but I couldn't find him...what happened?" Xander asked looking scared. But deep down, he was happy. Seeing Derrick in trouble gave him some kind of peace.

"I was busy....I got sidetracked" Derrick said..he couldn't tell them that he was helping someone run away right?

"What do you mean by you got sidetracked? What could have been more important than my son? Marcus what is the meaning of this? Your bring the son of that mistress of yours to live with us..and he starts to treat my son like he's not important" Vivian yelled..

Derrick kept quiet. There was no way he would win against the three people in the room anyway.

He was annoyed. Why did Xander have to come back anyway? They said that he was going to finish high school and college abroad but he came back after spending only six months.

"What happened Xander? I thought that you were going to stay aboard until you finished high school and college...why did you come back after only six months?" Derrick asked. Something seems suspicious.

Xander flinched when Derrick asked him that. It couldn't be that he found out what happened right? He thought that his mother covered it up well for him. Xander turned to Vivian for support.

Vivian too was sweating. Xander had caused trouble in his school and got expelled. She knew that if his father got to find out about it he would be very mad at Xander. There was no telling what he will do to him once he gets mad. And so she made sure that no one talked of the incident. Then she convinced her husband to bring Xander back.

"Hey what are you trying to say Derrick? Are you trying to say that Xander did something wrong and he came back because of that? My son came back because he wanted to come back! Were you hoping for him to stay abroad so you can take what belongs to him? I'm telling you Derrick....no matter the plan that you and your mother have...it's not going to work! Xander is still the first son!" Vivian yelled.

Derrick was hurt. His mother had nothing to do with all of this. He was all the more convinced now that Xander and his mother were hiding something. "I just wanted to know why he came back suddenly" Fred said.

Vivian turned to her husband. "Are you really going to let your son continue to talk to me this way?! My son came back because he wanted to....why are you making it sound as if he did something wrong?" Vivian asked Fred.

"Dad...I really didn't do anything dad. Why is Derrick making it seem as if I did something wrong?" Xander said. His father can't find that he got into trouble abroad.

"I didn't say that you did anything...why are acting like you did?" Derrick asked him.

"Hey you...! Who do you think that you are talking to that way? Remember no matter what I am still your older brother! I won't let you talk to me this way!" Xander said. He was only six months older than him but still...! He is older than him. He should give him the respect that he deserves...why won't Derrick just let this issue rest?. Why does he keep bringing it up? He knew that his father won't let him off easy if he finds out.

"Derrick drop this issue this instant. Xander came back home because he wanted to come back. I thought that it would be better to let him study abroad and gather experience but I changed my mind.
