Unfit to hide the condition any longer, Jesse confessed to Helen, " You're right, Helen. Linia got rid of me and ever since she did, I touch nothing but frustration." To be honest with you, I was wishing you would assist me by omitting her and that's why I proposed to you without consideration, I'm pathetic."
Helen smiled barely at his last proclamation. Jesse picked up from where he had left off and proceeded with, " Of course, this union will only be staying for a year.
In case we happen to fall in love with each other during that duration structure, let's stay together, but in case we flunk at this, let's go our respective ways and get a divorce. What do you sound like, Helen?"
Helen was too astonished by the current circumstances to respond.
"I may say like a douchebag to you precisely now, am I not?" Sorry about that!" He uttered while discerning unsettled about the entire thing.
Helen taunted her head and let out to Jesse, " You're not a douchebag at all, Jesse. Don't feel like that.
Your proposition kind of took me by astonishment as no one has ever made me that sort of proposition before."
" Does that mean Jesse was encouraging?
"You were truthful with me and didn't lie to me about your connotation. If there's anything I appreciate about you, it's your truthfulness." About your proposition, I assume to be your wife with all the ailments bound."
That was how Jesse Adren and
Helen Martins's connection commenced.
For the past year, they were delighted together, each day, every second, was pure pleasure for Helen. She never visualized she would ever be this delighted in her life. But that enjoyment she was sensing had a name, Jesse.
The past year, Jesse had kept his commitment to her, he had behaved toward her reasonably and with tremendous care. Helen figured out, nevertheless, that her enjoyment would soon terminate.
"What's wrong, Helen?" You appeared troubled." Jesse raised a question about the latter as they lived in bed together.
"It's nothing, my sweetheart," Helen answered.
A few months passed by and on the day of their willingly anniversary, Helen got a magnificent surprise. She found out about her pregnancy and was charmed by the news.
"Jesse will be glad with the announcement. I can't wait to see him and tell him about it." I can't wait to see the mirthfulness on his face when I declare openly to him he's going to be a father."
Meanwhile, at the office, Jesse received an incredible phone call from someone he wasn't anticipating ever hearing back from.
" Hello! Who is this?" Jesse picked up the call and when he heard the individual's voice from the other side of the line, he froze.
"It's me, Jesse." The one in the other line was his girlfriend and crush, Linia. The same Linia who ceased their relationship with such nature, that same Linia was phoning him after a year of living separated.
Jesse was speechless throughout the discussion. " I heard you got married. Congratulations!"
"Why are you calling me, Linia?" It's been a year and I never felt like hearing from you again, so, what do you yearn for?" Jesse eventually dared to question her.
"I want you." Jesse was astonished by her response. What did she mean by that? That was what Jesse sauntered through the phone.
" What do you mean by that?" Jesse raised a question.
"I've missed you, Jesse, and I desire you back." I want to give our relationship another chance." Jesse jerked, incapable of saying anything.
Three hours after the call, Helen safely dropped anchor at Jesse's company. She was grinning the entire way until she reached his office at the final. Upon seeing him sit at his desk, she couldn't withstand the urge to kiss him. Proceeding forward, she kissed him passionately.
"Jesse, I have something crucial to tell you," Helen mumbled as she stopped.
Not listening to a word she was letting out, Jesse began the kiss this time around, planting hickeys on her neck before moving down below to her collarbone. Helen was terrified by his touch and felt sensuality at the same time. Helen felt tremendously adequate in his arms and desired for it not to end. An hour after being in each other's embrace, Jesse surprised Helen with some documents.
"What are these documents you're passing me, Jesse?" Helen asked the latter in a state of perplexity.
Jesse glanced at her confused utterance and considered her eye before saying after a while, " Those are divorce papers."
" Divorce papers?"
Helen froze. She felt she heard him falsely and examined the papers she was carrying. She was eliminated upon finding out with procession that those papers Jesse gave her were, in fact, divorce papers. She didn't know how to respond or how to speak out.
" Do you recall our deal from a year ago?" Bringing about the past, Helen went down remembrance lane to the day her life transformed. She went about the day Jesse delivered his proposition to her out of the blue and recalling the terms of their bargain, her heart plunged.
"According to the phrases of our deal, if I was incapable of falling in love with you within the year of our marriage, I would divorce you." As you can see, a year has passed, and my feelings stayed the same as a year ago. I'm still very much in love with my ex."
Despite the pain she was presently feeling, Helen still raised a question, "Is this about Linia? Did you guys get back together?"
Jesse paused before answering, " She called and asked to get back together, and I" Jesse was incompetent
to finish his message due to Helen's interruption.
"I see, so that's how Helen muttered sadly.
Goggling through the divorce papers with deep pain in her eyes, Jesse watched as Helen picked up the pen on the desk and was willing to sign the divorce papers.
" Didn't you have some news to tell me when you came in?" Helen ceased at Jason's question and looked underside.
Her hand shaking and her eyes evolving swollen, she mumbled to Jesse, " I wanted to tell you that our wedding anniversary trial was virtually complete. That's what I hurried here to tell you." Her voice was trembling through it all.
After giving Jesse a forwarded answer, Helen's awareness wandered back to the divorce papers and as she was nearly to sign them, she ceased once more and glanced at her husband. She was digging for a sign to avoid this plight but thought at the last minute, that she was being greedy by wanting to lengthen their marriage against her husband's will, she recovered her composure and finally signed the divorce papers.
"Here you go - - With these, you're free to be with whomever you desire, Jesse," Helen mumbled bitterly.
Putting on to be happy about the whole liaison, Jesse grabbed the divorce papers out of Helen's hand aggressively and murmured coldly, " Well said, Helen.
Beginning from this day onwards, we don't owe each other anything."
Jesse exited the room in outrage, leaving Helen to weep out her sufferings and discomfort. She cried her eyes out until there were no more tears to relieve.
Barely feeling her belly, she mumbled,
" My baby, starting from this day onwards, it'll just be the two of us pushing forward. I pledge to give you the best schooling and adore you unconditionally."
Jesse was walking haphazardly feeling about what had just taken place in his office a while ago. As he tried to comprehend Helen's thoughts on signing the
divorce documents without putting up any disapproval, he was brought back to history once more. This time around, it was about his past with Linia and how their relationship emanates.
"Jesse, why did you suddenly call me out here?" Linia arrived at Jesse's meeting.
Jesse called her to come to a garden which he embellished himself with concentration and care. Linia was so obsessed with the rationale Jesse had unawarely asked to meet that she didn't catch the ornaments around the park at all.
"Linia, I called you here today because I have something significant to tell you."
Unexpectedly, Jesse got one knee and prolonged to Linia what looked like a little gift box with an ornament ring inside.
He was grinning and gesticulating during the entire scene. With joy and hope in his sights and heart, he rerouted the well-known question to his girlfriend, "Linia, my sweetheart, will you make me the delighted man alive and accept my proposition?"
Linia glanced as if she was in a trance. For the previous five minutes, she just stood there without emitting a single word or bringing in a single noise. It was as if she was attempting to process the condition in front of her one way or another.
Concerned that his girlfriend hadn't spoken anything for the last five minutes, Jesse felt odd inside. " Linia, is everything OK?" Why have you unexpectedly gone quiet? Is everything OK with you?"
After a long time of being quiet, Linia murmured the following as soon as she opened her mouth, " Did you just propose to me, Jesse?"
Seeing the utterance on Linia's face, Jess was feeling the same weird feeling he felt before. Answering Linia's question, he mumbled, " Yes, I did. What about it?"
Taking deep breaths, inhaling and exhaling, Linia retorted coldly back to Jesse, " I'm sorry, Jesse, but I can't marry you --- for now."
Jesse stood back up not comprehending why Linia would deny his proposal. All sorts of thoughts began striking his mind at once like Linia probably found someone else, which was why she was refusing him.
Linia ceased his baseless thoughts with a proclamation, " It's not like I don't wish to marry you, Jesse; It's just that I don't wish for it to be now."
Everything Linia was letting out didn't make sense to Jesse; He didn't comprehend Linia or at slight, he couldn't understand her.
"I don't understand you, Linia," Jesse muttered. " I'm making an effort but I can't comprehend why you would suddenly reject my proposal?"
Linia gasped before responding, " I like our existing relationship nicely; Why trash the entirety by getting intertwined?" Jesse still didn't figure out Linia's point of view until she spoke out, " I just feel what we have will vary if we got spousal, you know- _"
"Maybe, you're right." Jesse finally said in pain.
Noticing how hard he was putting up with the whole matter, a good conniving idea unexpectedly budded in Linia's intellect.
" If you desire to get wedded that badly, why don't we do this rather?" Linda's impulsive change of manner captured Jesse's awareness.
" What?"
"Why don't you achieve your parent's needs and get wedded to a girl of their choice?" Linia sniggers, annoying Jesse in the procedure.
" Get married to someone else? What are you---?"
Linia predicted his anger and said fast,
" Don't lose your dispassion until you've listened to the entire forte?" " Make your parents proud and get married to a girl of their preference. If within a year, we still feel the same way about each other as we do now, then we can get wedded. What do you say to that? Isn't it a good suggestion or It's not a bad deal, is it?"
Jesse was again lost for utterances to respond in any way. His quiet turned to worry Linia as he'd been quiet for such a long time.
Jesse caught her anxiety and muttered, " If that's what you truly want, then, I'll capitulate with your proposal."
" Really? ------ I knew it, I knew you'd figure out my point somehow." Linia embraced Jesse cheerfully but the latter didn't return it.
From that day ahead, Jesse did as it was predicted of him by his parents. On one cool evening, On one of the innumerable blind dates his parents put for him, he came across Helen, and the two became familiar with each other.
One day, after receiving his proposition to get wedded, Jesse asked Helen about her condition.
"Are you also in the same plight that I am?" Helen didn't figure out what Jesse suddenly implied as He asked her that query. She was kind of chaotic and thought of asking him for clarification but decided against it at the last minute.
" Did you too have somebody in your life you're making an effort to forget?" Jesse murmured one more time. " Is that why you accepted my proposition?" Comprehending his fact, Helen thinks of what to tell him.
"Yes, that's correct!" She shook. " My ex-boyfriend gave up on me for another girl. Can you believe it?" It was obvious to Helen that letting out the truth to Jesse would make issues mixed up, so rather, she decided to play along."
"I'm sorry to hear that." Jesse barely smiled. " Let's both do our best to have a better understanding and cheerful relationship!"
" Yeah!" Jesse and Helen shook hands, ceasing the flashback.
Back in the present day, Jesse was still very bitter about Helen signing the divorce documents quite smoothly and guessed to himself that perhaps he never indicated anything to Helen in the first place.
An impulsive thought crossed Jesse's mind, a thinking he didn't envision. " Did she possibly negotiate with her ex-boyfriend?
Could that be why she was in a rush to sign the divorce papers?" Jesse's thoughts were cut in by a phone call from Helen.
"Hello, Helen!" Jesse picked up the phone call. From the other line, Helen kept silent for several moments before actually letting out what she planned to say.
" I called to let you understand that I'll be moving from your house today; that's why I called." After saying what she desired to say, Helen hung up the phone call and so did Jesse.
Listening to Helen's voice over the phone and thinking back on all their past moments together, Jesse began having mistrusts about Helen and their relationship.
To clear his head, he entered his car and drove off to Linia's place.
Meanwhile, in Jesse's apartment,
Helen was loading her stuff in a bag. As she was packing her stuff one by one, she slipped upon their wedding picture frame. Carrying the frame tightly in her hand, a tear broke out her eyes and fell straight through the picture.
" To assume that everything is over now and that there's nothing I can do to change the contemporary situation. That's so disturbing
--- It's not adequate that I have to give up on him when I love him so much. Not fair, not fair---" Helen murmured in
bitterness.
" We look so good in this picture frame, but it's painful how none of these have ever been real in the first place; they were all just a sweet dream I've had, an illusion and nothing more than that."
As she put back the wedding picture frame where it belonged, she went back to packing her things in the bag. Jesse on the other hand had just arrived at Linia's place at long last.
Upon noticing Jesse in the veneer of her door, Linia went on into his arms and kissed him crazily to which Jesse returned just as much. They snappily moved from the front door to the bedroom where Jesse kept kissing Linia.
"I'm miserable, Jesse, about the past and my irresolution of being together. I'm sorry for denying you and asking you to get married to somebody else. I'm sorry, Jesse, I'm so ashamed about everything." Linia apologized through and through to Jesse as she kept smooching him.
Seeing his passion's sorrowful words softened Jesse's heart, his idea of taking things to the next level, but unfortunately, he couldn't, or instead, he couldn't get an erection out of making out with Linia no matter how vastly he tried.
Rather than obtaining an erection, Helen's face kept occurring to him frequently. In those appearances,
Helen's face and utterance were unhappy and evident, and seeing those utterances pained Jesse so much that he stopped feeling Linia.
"What's going on with Jesse ?" Could he have fallen for that girl and have no emotions for me anymore?"
Linia did her best not to lose her serenity in front of Jesse and exhaustively asked him the follow-up query, " Tell me, Jesse, did you happen to fall in love with Helen?"
Jesse was terrified by Linia's question and didn't figure out how or what to reply to her.
Jesse's quiet answered Linia's question on its own; Linia felt uncomfortable that her love was likely not her's anymore but contrived to hide it well.
Linia sneeringly made Jesse, " I won't blame you if you transpired to fall for her during the year you got married. It's discernible and comprehensible." Jesse peeked at Linia confused and retorted by saying, " It's not like that, Linia, you've misinterpreted."
" I see, he still has yet to realize his emotions for Helen at all; Perhaps, it's not too late for me." Linia sneerily assumed as she grinned at Jesse at the same time.
" There's no way I'm letting you go this time, Jesse. You're mine and mine alone."
"You're right, Jesse. I might have misconstrued it just as you inferred it just now. There's just no way that you wouldn't adore me anymore, right?" Linia maintained the smile on but underneath it all, she was pissed and exasperated.
Jesse kissed Linia barely on the forehead before putting his clothes back on which Linia figured out was a sign for him to leave.
" I'll be leaving now, Linia. You take care, alright!"
Linia hopped into Jesse's arms once more and clasped him tightly to the juncture that nearly injured him. " Will you come to visit me again hereafter?" She kept creaking at him and when she discovered Jesse was jerking, she lowered the anxiety.
To the question Linia asked, Jesse responded, " Tomorrow won't be possible due to a crucial meeting but I can promise to come visit you maybe another time, how's that?"
Linia suddenly let go of Jesse and grinned at him brilliantly, she mumbled, " Okay, that's a commitment and you better not break it."
"I won't, I won't. See you later!"
Jesse endeavored to kiss Linia on the forehead again but she foresaw what he aimed to do and gave him a speck on the lips. The latter was surprised by this but still did nothing to stop it. After successfully singling out Linia, he steered toward the door before walking out of it, with Linia smiling at him the entire way.
When Jesse was no longer in sight and sure he had successfully driven out of her apartment, Linia began smashing things around in anger.
" How is that feasible?" How could he fall for somebody else? I won't let that occur. I won't allow you to fall for somebody else because you're mine. Jesse, you're mine." She muttered exasperatedly.
On his way back to his apartment, Jesse thought back about what happened at Linia's place and how he was incapable of getting turned on while existing with her. He began panicking, thinking he might have some kind of dysfunction.
"Hey Helen, I'm home."
Upon returning home, he wasn't welcomed by Helen as she was nowhere to be found. Instead of her, he was greeted by bags behind the door and felt his heart sinking. He felt his world tumbling right in front of him. Digging through for Helen everywhere inside the house, he tended to find her in the final place he least expected, the bedroom.
Helen was napping soundly and peacefully.
Suddenly attracted to Helen, he stepped toward her, and with her face near his, he bent in for a kiss.
"You look perfectly cute when you're asleep, so gorgeous." He muttered before kissing her lovingly. The unknown feeling he was feeling at Linia's place disappeared, leaving a place for equivalent pleasure and a beautiful sentiment. He got erected just from kissing Helen which was contrary to what happened with Linia.
Jesse couldn't help but kiss Helen constantly without stopping which caused Helen in the end. Noticing what was happening and with Jesse on top of her, she tried to stop him but couldn't as Jesse gripped her hands in his control.
Being under the effect of alcohol, he muttered to Helen, "You can't decline me as I haven't yet put my sign on the divorce documents. You're still my missus until I say it's over." Helen was confused by his latest activities and conduct.
Jesse felt good near Helen and soon forgot how he met with Linia earlier in the day and how they discussed the opportunity of getting back together.
Helen didn't figure out what was going on with Jesse but regardless of her confusion, she let herself go and enjoyed the moment in Jesse's arms, for what she thought of the last time she would never be with him.
"You know, Jesse I was very pleased with you during the year we've been together. Every day, every minute, every second, everything was so much fun
--- I don't think I could ever ignore all the love and esteem you've given me even if I tried."
As this was their last juncture, their goodbye, Helen yearned to take the opportunity and open her heart to Jesse before departing him for good.
"Jesse, I don't think I ever got the chance to tell you this, but I never got a boyfriend before you proposed to me. I lied to you when I said I had an ex-boyfriend.
You were my first and last love, Jesse; I don't think I'll be able to love anyone as I loved you. Before going our separate ways, I'd like for you to know how enormously deep I love you. I love you, Jesse; I love you."
As she proclaimed her love to Jesse, she waited for a response from him but nothing came and she was quite pessimistic.
"Jesse, why aren't you saying anything back after I've proclaimed my love for you?" As she was inquiring of him for a justification, she discovered Jesse was sound asleep and that he didn't hear her impulsive proclamation of love. Helen was frustrated by that but still sighed in the end.
"Maybe, it's for the best." She sighs. " If he had heard my confession, what would he have told me? Would he have told me how he felt the exact way I did? Would he have told me he no longer adored Linia? Would he have asked me to wait and begin afresh?" Helen ambled her hands through Jesse's thickened black hair. " In the future, I'll never get to know what his answer to my confession would have been."
Helen silently and furtively left the bed after correctly lying Jesse on the bed and covering him with a blanket. She heads to the shower to take a bath.
After spending fifteen minutes inside the shower, she stepped out of it and placed on an orange dress. She looked spectacular in the dress and as she went to the living room and found her suitcases lying roughly, she moved them back to the bedroom.
" Before I leave this house and Jesse, I should make him one last delicious breakfast." She muttered before heading to the kitchen to make breakfast for her precious husband,
Jesse. In the bedroom, Jesse woke up from his eventful night. He remembered how he was with Helen and how good it felt being with her.
" I don't know what happens to me whenever I'm with you, Helen," Jesse muttered before getting cut in by Linia's phone call.
"What's up, Linia ?" Jesse asked the latter through the phone.
"You didn't forget what today is, did you?" Linia predicted a joyful response to which Jesse alertly said, " Today's grandma's birthday, isn't it? How could I forget?"
