I'm In Love With A Billionaire Single Dad

The bell rang and she can see the sparkle on her student's eyes, some are grinning from ear to ear, and some wasn't able to help themselves and shouted "Yes". She just shake her head and smiled before saying her students' favorite line.

"Okay class you are now dismissed. See you tomorrow", she said while her students seems on panic keeping their things to prepare to go out of the classroom.

She had a very long day today. Well, every day is a long day at school. Being a teacher is not easy yet teachers are less appreciated, has a very low pay, and job is exhausting. It is never easy to deal with students who has different kinds of behavior. Yet she loves her job.

She was massaging her own back while checking her emails. Her eyes widen when she saw the email coming from the school that she was applying for. An English learning school in Madrid, Spain. It was really unexpected. She was caught off guard and so much overwhelmed with the very good news that she just received.

She can't help but shout. "Oh my God!!!" she screamed at the top of her lungs while jumping.

Her co-teacher Kim was running towards her classroom with a very worried face and almost stumble.

"Emily? Emily, what is the matter? Are you alright?" she was gasping for air as she reached her.

"Kimmy, I got it. I got the job!" She immediately hugged Kim.

"Which one? The job in Madrid that you're applying for as an English teacher?" Kim asked.

"Yes Kimmy." Emily replied.

Kim's eyes widened seemed very shocked and a smile crept on her face afterwards.

"Oh my goodness! I'm so happy for you Emi. I know you have been waiting for this great opportunity." Kim said.

"Yeah, you're right Kimmy. I'm just so happy this is going to be a big help for my family." Emily said smiling but teary eyed at the same time.

She went home while hopping like a very happy rabbit. Her younger brother Emerson looked at her like she is some kind of an alien. Eric as the one who has his own world doesn't notice and continued what he was doing. Emmanuel as usual was so focused on his books and Elazar was busy with his toys.

"Hi, boys. Where's Mom?" She asked with a singsong voice.

"In the kitchen, preparing dinner. What is wrong with you big Sis? You look really weird." Emerson asked without blinking.

"I'll tell later over dinner." She said mysteriously.

"Tsk. This family is full of weird people." Eric utter while his full attention is still on the device that he's inventing.

Emily just shook her head while smiling. Saying on her mind, 'coming from someone who's so normal.'

She head on her way upstairs to her room. Clean herself and change her clothes. The moment she went downstairs and head her way to the kitchen everyone was at the table ready to eat and just waiting for her.

"Hi, guys." She said with glee.

"Oh someone's happy." Her dad said.

"Big sis, sit now so we could pray and eat. I'm starving." Impatient Elazar said.

"I guess she had a good news, am I right Emily?" Her mom really knows her so well.

"You guessed it right, mom?"

She sat and they started praying. Afterwards, they started eating.

"Spill it out, honey." Her mom said when all of them are done eating.

She took a deep breath and look each and every one of them. From her dad, to her mom, Emerson, Eric, Emmanuel and little Elazar.

"Mom, dad, I got hired as an English teacher in Spain!" she said.

A moment of silence spread all over the kitchen. Everyone was seemed in shock. Of course, because nobody knows about her application for the said country. He never told his family about it even her colleagues and superiors in the private school where she teaches. Only Kim, her colleague and close friend was the only person who knows about it.

Her contract form the school where she currently teaches will soon expire next week. It is really a perfect timing that she was hired on the said school in Spain. The school named El Excellente Ingles which is located in Spain will shoulder all of her expenses and it is a 2 year contract where she will teach Spanish students to speak English. The salary is good and almost triple from her pay of the current school where she teaches.

"What are you talking about Emily?" her dad asks seems confuse.

"Dad, my contract in the school will expire next month. So I tried to apply and look for you know a bigger opportunity a greener pasture of course for us." She was a bit nervous looking at her father.

Knowing him and that kind of tone that he use while saying those words also the look on his face, Emily knows that he is not happy. She knew her father, he doesn't want secrets and she kept this application of her a secret.

"Without telling us, dear?" her mom second the motion seems upset as well.

"Spain is very far, baby. Who will take care of you there? You'll live by yourself. What if you get tired, who will give you a massage?" she added.

"Yeah, I'm not there to give a 24 hour massage." Emmanuel added who is the one that she always asked to give her a massage every time she has a back pain.

"Mom, dad, boys, please. I need this, we need this. My pay there is triple times the pay here." She said softly while giving them begging look with puppy eyes.

Her dad took a deep breath before speaking.

"Fine. I don't want you to miss an opportunity honey. Great opportunity comes just once in a blue moon. We never know. So I agree, you have my blessing princess." Her dad said which makes her eyes glow.

"Mom?" she asked nervously what her mother's decision will be.

"I agree with your father and I don't want to be the one to blame if you missed a great opportunity and won't be given another once again." She jokingly said.

"Woah! Thank you so much mom and dad." She said. The family then had a big hug. Emily had a good night sleep that night with a smile on her face while her eyes are shut.

Emily is now on her classroom. Her classes just finished and she stayed in her classroom. She feels a little sad while roaming her eyes around the classroom where she spent almost a year. A part of her feels sad that she will miss everyone, especially Kim. She will miss all of her co-teachers and supervisor. Everyone was so nice to her since she started working in this school.

Today is Friday so she will go out with Kim and their other co-teachers. It is like a farewell party for her as well. She was waiting for Kim when she receive a call from the school in Spain where she applied. She felt nervous and excited at the same time. She gulped before and breathe in and breathe out three times before answering the call.

"Hello, good afternoon." She said and thanked that she didn't stutter.

"Hi, am I speaking with Miss Palma? This is from El Excelente Ingles." The woman from the other line said.

"Yes, ma'am speaking" she answered.

"Okay, I just called to confirm if you received the email that we sent yesterday? "She asked.

"Yes, Ma'am. I did and thank you so much for giving me a chance to be a part of your institution." She said politely.

"You're welcome. You have an excellent score in TEFL."

TEFL or Teach English as a Foreign Language is a requirement to teach English in a country that doesn't speak English just like Spain.

"We will send you an email when you will come to the office for the contract and also you schedule for the visa, okay. Bye for now." She said before hanging up.

"Okay Ma'am. Thank you once again and have a nice day." Emily replied and hang up.

She continue reminiscing and thinking of those times she spent in this school. She will miss her students, her colleagues, and all the memories they all spent together. All the funny moments and the struggles that she faced for teaching in this school even if it's only just one year and six months. She smiled remembering all those times she spent in the school.

After a few moments of remembering the past Kim arrived in her classroom. She then quickly pack up her things and closed the room. They then headed to her house. Emily's house is just a few blocks away from school. Kim just brought clothes that she will wear tonight for their so called girl's night out. Yes, this is a girl's night out/ farewell party for Emily.

"I'm so excited for tonight Emi, aren't you?" Kim asked while they were walking hand in hand just like lovers.

"No." she grinned trying to pissed off her best friend. Kim's brows furrowed an indication that pissing Kim off is effective.

"Well, you should be since it's your first time to go to a bar to party." She said before rolling her eyes at Emily.

She just laughed and continue walking and drag Kim since she stopped walking while her arms are crossed on her chest. They reached Emily's home and Kim immediately greeted her parents and brothers.

"Hi Uncle, Auntie. What's up boys?" Kim shouted as the enter Emily's house.

"Hi adoptive sister." Emerson said while grinning at Kim.

He loves to annoy Kim every time the two see each other. Emily has no idea why Emerson loves to piss Kim off. Whenever he sees Kim's knotted forehead it seems that his day is complete.

"Emerson stop teasing Kimberly." Her mom scolded Emerson.

He then behaved while Kimberly let her tongue out to Emerson. These two are like cats and dogs always arguing and teasing each other. After their dinner the two prepared for Emily's so called farewell party exclusive for girls only.

Emily has no decent dress or should we say dresses for going out to a party at the bar, so Kim offered her to wear one of her dresses. According to Kim the dress was never worn yet. It is a black above the knee haltered velvet dress with diamonds around its thin strap which is haltered.

It is also body hugging which compliments her curves and shows her cleavage as well. Her eyes widened and her mouth stretch open the moment she wore the dress.

"Kimmy!!!! I can't wear this kind of dress." Emily shouted.

"My gosh it looks good on you, Emily! You need to wear that one what the hell are you talking about you can't wear that." Kim shouted back.

"Look at me, I look like a professional prostitute and I'm not comfortable wearing this. I feel like I'm not wearing anything at all. I feel like I'm naked." Emily stated.

"This is the new trend. Tell me, are you really from this generation or you came from the 18th century and just got lost in this time?" Kim exaggeratedly said.

"Kimmy, I'm not comfortable wearing this kind of clothes and look at that shoes you wanted me to wear. I won't be able to walk wearing that kind of high heeled shoes. Take note the heels." She begged.

Kim let her borrow a red shoes with five inch heels which she cannot bear to wear. She is really very scared to wear those. Emily is one hundred percent sure she will get an injury since she doesn't know how to walk wearing a pair of very high heeled shoes.

"Fine, fine we won't push the shoes but please the dress wear it, okay. Please?" She said while putting her hands together and looked at Emily with puppy eyes.

"Okay, I'll wear this." Emily sigh in defeat. At least she won't wear that shoes that might cause her to get a severe leg injury.

Kim then clapped her hands and jumped three times out of joy. She just laughed and shook her head because of her best friend's childish act. Kim then put make up on Emily and just let her hair down. Kim is wearing a red fitted strapless dress which is also above her knee.

Maybe three inches above her knee. The red dress is very revealing. Yet Kim walks with glee and confidence. She looks like she is used to wearing such revealing clothes while Emily almost won't go out from her room. After so much convincing and force, Kim finally got Emily come out from her room.

Emily wake up with a severe headache. She feels like there is a million hammer being hit on her head. She regret why she drank last night, it's really a good thing that today is Saturday.

She got up to bed with her both hands on her head still eyes closed. She groaned while heading her way to the bathroom. After taking a shower she then changed and heard a knock on the door of her room.

"Baby, are you awake." Her mother asked while knocking on the door.

"Yes, mom. Wait a second, I just finished taking a bath. I'm changing." She replied.

"Okay, honey. Breakfast is ready and I also prepare medicine for your hangover." Her mom said.

"Yes, mom. I'll go downstairs after I'll change." She smiled.

Her mother is always caring. Always thoughtful and always support her. She has a very loving and supportive family. She is so lucky to have them and she can't thank God every day for giving her such kind of parents and brothers.

As usual, everyone was present in the table and just waiting for her. They pray and eat afterwards. She offered to wash the dishes. Saturday is a special day for the family. Her parents really reserved two days spend just for them. During Saturday they will go out and go to church on Sunday.

Today the whole family will go to the beach. Emily will spend more quality time with her family now that she will leave for Spain soon. She have three weeks left before her flight and she will miss them.

Everything are all set and they just wait for her to finish washing the dishes. Her father insisted that she should just let the dishes but she declined she doesn't want to leave their house uncleaned.

"I'm done guys." She happily said.

"Finally, after one hundred years." Eric said impatiently.

"Relax, bro, don't be obvious that you're too excited." Emerson said teasing Eric.

"Someone's excited eh." Her father said makes Eric furrow.

"That someone is me, I can't wait to go to the beach." Cute Eleazar said.

"Well, let's go. What are you all waiting for?" Said Emmanuel.

Emily can't help but smile looking at her parents and brothers. They are not well off, but her parents still manage to give them at least time to unwind by going to the beach, or have a picnic at the park.

Going to the mall is not an option since they do not have that much money. But since Emily got a job she was able to treat her family once a month. She take them into the mall and buy them few stuff.

Now that she will go to Spain and have a bigger pay she will be able to give them a better life. That was all she ever wanted. Even if she won't marry anymore. She never thought of those things.

At the age of 24, she doesn't even have a boyfriend. She turned down all of her suitors. Her mother sometimes ask her about it. Emily just smile at her mother every time she ask her about her love life.

Of course, Kim, who is a love expert and professional at relationships always tease her. Saying that she will probably become an old maid. She just laugh at Kim and tell her that all she ever want is to see her parents having a convenient life and her brothers finished college with a decent job.

"Wow, it's so beautiful. White sand beach and a very blue clear ocean." She exclaimed when they reach the beach.

It is an almost 2 hour ride and 30 minutes ride on boat. Yes, they are in an island and it is their first time to go to a very beautiful island.

"Careful boys." Her mother warned her brothers who are carelessly going out of the boat.

"This is very beautiful in here honey. We should have spent overnight. It's perfect for honeymoon." Her dad said while wiggling his eyebrows to her mother.

"Shut up Eleazar Palma, Sr. your kids are listening have shame on yourself." Her mother said while blushing.

Emily just laugh while her brothers act like they did not hear anything. Emily's brother hate it when their father act sweet to their mother. They seem like irritated and saw a very disgusting scene.

"Dad, if you like, we will go home first and we will just leave the two of you here. I can arrange with the hotel of the resort. I think they still have vacant rooms." Emily suggested.

"No, we came here together so we will leave together. I can't let all of you go home by yourselves." Her mother exclaimed.

"Your mother is right, princess. I was just teasing her." Her father agreed but at the same time smiled naughtily to her mother.

The whole family had a very good time at the beach. They had a lot of fun and Emily was so happy seeing her family happy. Her heart was filled with joy and a bit sadness at the same time. She will be leaving her family soon but it is for their own sake. She needs to sacrifice.

They went home tired because of the long trip but they are all happy. When Emily was on her room to take a rest. Her mother and father approached her.

"What is it, mom and dad?" Emily asked.

"We just want to talk to you, baby." Her mother answered.

"For the last time we wanted to ask you. Are you really sure about this honey?" her father asked. He looks sad even though he is smiling.

"Yes, dad. I am 100% sure. I need to do this for us. For my brothers so they could continue studying and finish a degree. Also, I want to give you and dad a comfortable life. I don't want the two of you to work some heavy jobs." Emily said while holding her mother's hand convincing her that everything will be fine.

She know her mother and she seem hesitant about Emily going abroad to work.

"I'm so sorry honey. Your dad's a loser. If only I was able to provide for all of us, then there is no need for you to go far." Her dad can't help it and shed tears.

"Dad don't say that. You did everything for us." Emily said teary eyed.

"Honey, stop it." Her mother hugged her father immediately.

Then Emily hugged her father as well. Her brothers were watching them from outside her room and the moment they saw them they immediately entered the room.

"Cut the drama everyone." Emerson shouted.

"Group hug." Her brothers screamed in unison while running towards them.

The family then have their Palma group hug and laugh together that night. It was a long day for all of them because of their outing and Island hopping so they immediately left Emily's room at once. Emily had that bittersweet smile on her face while lying on her bed that night. She even cried silently but she comfort herself. Everything will be alright. She must do this for her family even if it means being separated from them.
