I'm A Goddess?

Genre: Romance
Athena 'Lux' Lumine is part of the Wight's (non-magical creatures, normal people) that was accepted in a high school where all the supernatural beings or creatures study. This is the first time that it happened since Wights has their own small school and most of them do home study to avoid discrimination. But Athena was a bright kid at age of 16 so everyone believed that she'd manage to pull it off inside of the Luxine Academy. After entering the school, a lot of drama, relationship, and friendship was formed without her control, she became the light of everyone as she managed to force them to unite with one another. Aside from that, she discovered something that was buried deep within the past of Luxine (World of Special Creatures). A flame user whom she never thought would help her discover her true identity.

Chapter 1 Wight

Luxine is a world being protected by the five important flames Goddess Lux left to her people: White (Puti), Blue (Asul), Red (Pula), Orange (Kahel), and Yellow (Dilaw).

With the power of these flames, Luxine became prosperous, life became much easier. White flames are the strongest flames that focus on electricity, supernatural strength, and light.

Blue flames are the second to the strongest. These focus on healing, no matter what your wounds were, and depending on how skilled you were, could heal someone.

Red flames are in the middle. These give the heat from the cold world the Luxine people live in. Orange flames are the fourth one. They're the builders of the place. With their power, they could create not just metals but materials they could use for building and making things.

Last but not least, the Yellow flames are one of the most important flames because, without food, people won't continue living. Yellow flames are also used to make and create foods.

All of these were left by the Goddess Lux before she disappeared; the reason why she left was unknown to all of the creatures residing in Luxine.

A few people got worried about her whereabouts, but many decades have passed and things haven't changed. The flames never left the left, so all of the creatures claimed that she was somewhere out there watching over them.

"So, is that why flames are surrounding our whole world, grandma?" Athena asked while tilting her head. She was listening to her grandma's stories while cooking some dinner in the kitchen.

Her mother died after she gave birth to her and she has no idea where her father was because he left before her mother could even give birth to her.

She's been living with her grandma for as long as she can remember. It has been a blast, so Athena doesn't have any problems with it.

Plus, her grandma is the nicest person in the world. She teaches her a lot of things that could be useful in life.

"Yes, without those flames, the Pitch Demon could easily enter this world," Athena's grandma informed her, so she snorted before smiling.

"Grandma, I'm not a child anymore, you can't scare me with that Pitch Demon thingy," She giggled while frying some hash browns.

Her grandma used to scare her a lot about that Pitch Demon lurking outside of Luxine. She said without those flames surrounding the whole world, they would consume the creatures and eat their life forces.

"I'm not kidding around, Athena, you should always remember that I don't tell stories that aren't real," Her grandma firmly said, so she just sighed before turning off the stove.

"Alright, grandma, I'm sorry," She pouted before preparing their dining table, "Here's my specialty!"

Athena revealed the hash browns, and melted cheese together with a fried chicken, "Are you trying to kill me, Athena?" Her grandma asked, so her eyes widened.

"N-No I'm not! This is healthy grandma, we had okra and soy sauce for lunch so I think this is acceptable for dinner!" She exclaimed.

Her grandma just sighed before smiling at her, "Just admit you're excited tomorrow, you're finally going to register yourself at Luxine Academy,"

Athena flinched before averting her gaze at her, "No, I'm not grandma, do you know what that school contains? It's full of beasts!" She almost screamed.

She shook her head before raising her fists, "But, that's not going to stop me from studying hard! I'm going to prove to everyone how capable Wights are in this world!"

Her grandma got worried for a moment. Athena is different from the rest of the teenagers that she knows. She will do whatever it takes to reach the goal that she's been wanting to achieve.

Athena's will isn't something that could be broken easily like some glass, even if it's already broken, she will do whatever it takes to repair it again.

Wights have always been discriminated against in their world. They're non-magical creatures, which means all they could do was work their asses off to fit into the world that's full of magical and powerful creatures.

They work under those magical and powerful creatures, so she knew Athena wanted to change things. She wanted everything to be equal.

"Be careful out there, sweetheart," Her grandmother worriedly said, so she just smiled before nodding.

"I will, let's eat dinner early so that I can wash the dishes early and think about what I will wear tomorrow," Athena beamed, so her grandmother just smiled.

It wasn't a while until Athena decided to surrender to her bed. She clutched her chest and looked at the pendant that she had ever since she was a kid.

Her grandmother said that her mother left this for her, so she treasures it like it's their family heirloom. It's a symbol of flame, the borders of it look like they are embedded with gold when her hands grazed on it. She just smiled and gazed at the top of her ceiling.

"I'll make sure tomorrow will be a good day," She whispered before drifting off into a deep slumber.

The next day came, and she was full of high spirits, "Good morning grandma!" She flipped her jet-black hair while fixing her big circle glasses.

It makes her sky-blue eyes big enough to see how she shines so brightly so early in the morning, "Tone your voice down dear," Her grandma smiled, so she just bit her lower lip.

"I just can't help it! Though I'm still a little nervous, you know?!" Athena exclaimed, so her grandma knew she couldn't be stopped.

"Alright, I understand, but you have to eat your breakfast first before starting to set off to school," After her grandma said those words, she sat promptly on the chair and smiled.

"You made my breakfast extra special, is this a blueberry pancake?" She hummed, so her grandma chuckled.

"Dig in," She playfully winked, so Athena cheered before thanking the food that she had in her front.

After she ate, she brushed her teeth and grabbed her bag from her room. She fixed her big glasses and combed her jet-black hair one last time.

"Okay, I'm done and ready to go!" She beamed before revealing herself to her grandma. She's wearing an elegant black and white uniform.

At first, Athena thought that the Luxine Academy had an elegant taste, "You look wonderful, dear, have fun okay? And remember, try to blend in,"

"Yes grandma, I will!" After she said those words, she kissed her on the cheeks before she decided to come to school.

She decided to take a stroll since her school isn't that far from their house, plus, the morning breeze is the freshest air that she needed to breathe in.

Many strange birds were to be heard on the canopy like they were calling out to their kin, everything in the morning just looked so amazing.

She stopped in her tracks after she realized that she had arrived at the academy. A lot of creatures were to be seen and she felt intimidated because of the aura that was emitted from every single one of them.

Despite the fact that she was a Wight, she could distinguish who was the strongest and weakest one inside the academy.

She thought it was an amazing ability since she knew who she had to avoid, her grandma probably didn't know anything about it.

"O-Okay Athena, you're doing great," She cheered herself while fixing her glasses before deciding to enter the main entrance of the academy.

Athena almost gulped after noticing several eyes were looking her way. She wanted to lower her head, but she had to keep her head up high.

"A Wight? What's a weakling like her doing here at our university?" She heard someone gossiping at the back.

She noticed that they were she-wolves and she remembered that her grandmother wanted her to avoid these kinds of people because they're very hard to deal with since they only think about themselves and their heat.

Most of them just want to sleep with the boys, so she thought that's maybe why her grandmother wanted her to avoid them.

Plus, aside from that, they're one of the creatures that will deceive you and probably eat up your soul if you're too trusting of them.

"Maybe her ancestors are rich? Or maybe she begged the leaders of this place to enroll her," The girls laughed after she said those words, and she couldn't help but face them with her fists clenched.

Athena hates it when people talk behind someone's back when that specific someone didn't do anything to them and claimed such horrible beliefs.

She was about to approach them to give them some piece of her mind when someone stepped in front of her, "Don't even think about it unless you want detention on the first day,"

"B-But they have to know that I'm not–"

"Shush pretty lady, you don't have to explain yourself to the trash, that would be so weird, right?" The feline purposely raised her voice, which offended numerous she-wolves.

"What did you say, stupid cat?!" The she-wolf almost growled so she raised her eyebrows before turning her back at them. She hates it when wolves are growling since her tail is getting too buffy.

"Sorry, I don't talk to stinky dogs," She informed them before pulling Athena away from there before things started to get messier.

Athena was about to complain when she noticed that she was a Feline. She noticed her white ear twitching and she thought it looked adorable.

Felines are half human and half cats. They have the body of a human, but they have ears on their heads and tails on their backs. They are known to be very moody, sweet, and caring. Athena read that in a book.

She likes to read books about many different creatures. She just finds everyone interesting, "S-Sorry, they're just talking smack behind my back, they don't even know me,"

"Okay, that's it, you're calm, I'm August Marie Almas, just call me August, it's obvious that I'm part of Feline and you are?" She offered her hands.

Athena curiously glanced at her back and noticed that her tail with a ribbon was waving, "C-Cool," She beamed, so August just laughed since she thought she looked adorable, she's her kind of person.

"O-Oh um, sorry that was rude of me, I'm Athena Lux Lumine, a Wight," She proudly greeted her before shaking her hands. August just smiled before patting her head.

"I'm glad that you're proud that you're a Wight, there's nothing to be ashamed of, are you perhaps that intelligent scholar that's been the talk around the different parts of Luxine?" August curiously asked, so her eyes widened.

"H-How did you know that I was a scholar?" Athena curiously asked so she thought her expression was adorable.

"You're cute and like I said, you have been a famous topic around different parts of Luxine, things might be more interesting now that you're here," August winked.

"Why? Are you a junior?" Athena inquired, but she immediately shook her head before smiling.

"Nope, I'm a freshman like you, and never mind those stinky she-wolves, they always do that on the first days," August firmly explained.

"They shouldn't do that, people are not all fond of being talked about behind their back unless it's a good thing," She mumbled, making August laugh.

"You're so funny, I never thought Wight's were this funny," She continued chuckling before purring.

"Oh, and by the way, do you know your place around here?" August politely asked. Athena was about to look at her schedule to check when she noticed her wristwatch and gasped.

"Oh shoot! I must register myself before the class starts!" Athena fixed her glasses first before running away from there while glancing around the place. She was pacing back and forth since she looked like she didn't know where to go.

August amusingly laughed when she noticed her confusion before going back to her, "Um sorry for troubling you, but do you know where the admission is?"

She nodded at Athena before pointing to the right, "I'll come with you, the last thing you need is to get lost on your first day of class," August winked at her, so she just smiled before following her.

"Thank you, August," Athena sweetly thanked her, so she just shook her head before pulling her close to herself.

"Anything for a friend! Now come on, let's get you registered! We might be classmates, you know?" August pulled her as they ran at massive speed in the hallways.

Athena just smiled because she couldn't believe that she had gained a friend on her first day at Luxine Academy.

Chapter 2 Admitted

"And now we're here!" August happily pointed at the door right in front of them with her cat ears twitching, so she sighed in relief since they had arrived here early.

"Thank you! Let me just admit myself, do you want to come inside?" Athena invited, so she just nodded before they both decided to go inside.

After they went in, they were greeted by numerous creatures, mostly werewolves, and witches, trying to count all of the money that was flowing from the school.

Athena roamed her eyes around and smiled after finding the word registrar on the sign, she immediately approached her and took out her things.

"Hello, I'm here to register myself at Luxine Academy," She gave her requirements, but the she-wolf register gave her a judgmental look.

"Wight's never enrolled in this academy; do you even have enough money to pay for this?" She claimed while reviewing Athena's documents. She just sighed before giving her diploma as a scholar.

"I'm the scholar who wants to enroll here, please do make it quick because I don't want to be late to class," She just smiled, so everyone looked at her intently.

August just smirked, she never falters or gets affected every time she hears an insult about Wights. She really is the kind of person that she likes to be around.

The registrar just shook her head and decided to admit her. Athena happily accepted the schedule she gave her.

"Your schedule is there and the rules you need to follow are in the handbook, make sure not to quit so early this year," The she-wolf laughed together with her workmates.

Athena just smiled at them before nodding, "Don't worry, I don't have any plans to quit no matter what happens," After she said those words, she left the admission with a fighting spirit.

"That kid is going to get herself hurt," One of the werewolves said, so August glanced at them before smirking.

Werewolves and she-wolves look the same as Felines since they're half human and half wolf, they have dog ears and huge fluffy tails on their backs.

"Never underestimate a Wight that is a scholar!" August firmly said before slamming the door behind her back.

Athena greeted her when she turned around and bowed her head, "Sorry, I forgot that you were with me," She looked like she felt bad, so she waved her hands at her.

"No worries darling, I'm good, so what's your schedule? Let me check it," August stole the documents from her hands and squealed.

"We're classmates in every subject! I'm so happy about this!" She continued cheering, so Athena just smiled at her.

They both decided to get to know one another while they were on their way to their first class. After they arrived there, the seats were already packed with students.

"I almost forgot that they have mixed classes," August just sighed before pulling Athena closer to her.

"Seat with me, okay? No matter what happens," She pleaded, so she just chuckled before nodding at her.

"I will, August, you're the only one who wants me to be here. Look," Athena pointed at their classmates who were glaring at her.

She noticed that her class had many strong students, especially the man who was sleeping on the back. He was hiding his face so she couldn't make out what he looked like, but she claimed that he was super strong because of the aura that surrounded almost the whole room.

August hissed, "Meh, just pay them no mind, they don't have other things to do in life, that's why they're like that," She reassured her.

Athena just smiled at her. She can't believe that she gained a friend immediately on the first day. They both decided to look for a seat and sat at the back.

Athena glanced at her side and noticed that she was sitting right next to the man who had a huge and powerful aura.

She shook her head and looked in front, as the teacher had arrived at the front, "Greetings everyone and welcome to your first class, I'm Gabin Vincula, your history subject teacher," A lot of students groaned after hearing history.

"Well, since you're all so energetic today, why don't we start by introducing your names?!" He clapped his hands and pointed at the man in the front.

"You go first, then you, you, you, and so on until we finish!" Mr. Gabin announced, so Athena thought history wouldn't be so bad if he was their teacher.

"I always have hated this part," August collapsed on her armchair, making muffled sounds like she was pissed. Athena just giggled before listening to her classmates.

She memorized all of her names until it was finally August's turn as she decided to go in front, "I'm August Marie Almas, mess with her and you'll be asking for my claws," She pointed at Athena, making her flinch.

Numerous classmates glanced at her with gossip to be heard, but that didn't make her lower her head as she realized it was her turn to introduce herself.

"I'm Athena Lux Lumine, you can call me Athy, and I'm a Wight, so I'm looking forward to learning with you guys," She beamed before bowing to her head.

"Or are you that intelligent scholar?" Mr. Gabin asked so she raised her head before shyly nodding at him.

Her teacher just smiled before patting her back, "I'm looking forward to seeing things working for you,"

After that, she decided to go back to her chair. A lot of glares were to be felt while she was walking back to her seat, but like what August reminded her, she paid them no mind.

"Okay, last but not least, you there, sleeping guy, wake up! It's the first day of school, come on," Mr. Gabin almost yelled, so some of the creatures laughed.

Athena was almost in her chair when someone purposely tripped her. Her eyes widened when she realized that she was about to hit the floor as she held on to her glasses.

But before she could close her eyes, someone grabbed her wrists harshly and helped her up while glaring at her, "Get out of my way," He coldly said before casually pushing her to her seat.

That was the man who was sleeping beside her a while ago, so she was surprised when he stomped his feet on the woman that did that to her, "Next time you put your feet in my way, I'll slash them with my sword,"

After he said those words, the she-wolf looked like she was scared of him. He then walked in the front casually with his hands inside his pockets.

"Athena...Athy! Are you alright? I saw that!" August worriedly asked on the side, so she surprisingly nodded at her.

"Y-Yeah, I-I'm fine," She hugged herself before looking at the man that helped her a while ago. He looked extremely handsome but dangerous at the same time since he looked cold and ruthless.

"Azure Yuri Arison, my kind is none of your f.ucking business," After he coldly said those words, he casually went back to his seat.

August and Athena secretly glanced at him as he decided to sleep again after introducing himself, "He's nice and probably a jerk too," August whispered to her.

She couldn't help but stare at that man until the class ended. They had gym class and the man who was sitting right beside her wasn't moving at all.

"Should we wake him up? We have gym classes, and he might be late," Athena worriedly asked while biting her lower lip, so August just shrugged at her.

"Leave him, students should be responsible, he'll go there if he wants to," She rolled her eyes, so Athena pouted at her.

"Please? Can we wake him up for a moment?" She used her pretty eyes, so August just sighed before nodding at her.

"Fine, go ahead," She crossed her arms against her chest, so she cheered before trying to poke that man's shoulders.

"Um excuse me, Azure, right? The class ended like ten minutes ago, we need to go to the gym glass," She informed him, but that man didn't budge.

She exhaled out a lungful of air before deciding to poke his shoulders, "Hey um Azure? Yahoo?" Athena called.

After she poked him again, she gasped when he harshly grabbed her hands. His hold was too tight, and it was getting too painful for her to endure it.

"Who told you to wake me up? Scram away from me," He hissed before stomping his way out of the room.

"What the? That jerk, I'm going to give him a piece–" August was about to run after him, but Athena managed to stop her from going.

"I-It's alright, it wasn't that painful, promise!" She reassured her, so she just sighed before shaking her head.

"See? I told you, we shouldn't have woken him up," After August said those words, she dragged her out of the room so that they could change their clothes.

After they changed their clothes, both of them managed to arrive at gym class on time, "Okay class, good morning, I'm Rudolf, your gym class teacher for this year," He greeted the lined up students.

"We're going to warm up first and after that, let's do some jogging!" Their professor was a wolf, so Athena thought this was going to be extra hard.

"Not jogging," August whined before slumping on the corner of the covered gym, "I hate jogging, it makes my tail wobble so much," She mumbled.

Athena just smiled at her before tapping her shoulders, "I'm sure it wouldn't be bad if we were together, so let's go!" She beamed before deciding to warm up with August, who wasn't in the mood for anything.

After all the students finished doing their warm-ups, everyone heard the whistle of their professor as it became their cue to start running around the covered court.

"Move those legs, everyone!" Their teacher yelled in the front while running backward, so everyone thought he was athletically skilled.

"After this jogging, we will play volleyball!" Rudolf announced, so everyone whined except for Athena.

"Waa volleyball, this is the first time I'm going to play that game with someone, so I'm excited!" She cheered while fixing her glasses, so August just looked at her intently.

"Athy, how come you have so much energy when our first class just ended like 30 minutes ago?" She pouted while whining.

Athena glanced at her before shrugging, "Erm...maybe I'm just that excited about my first day? Since you know, this is the first time a Wight like me has entered an academy since we're almost homeschooled or something,"

August wondered for a moment before smiling. She should be the one trying to invite her to do a lot of things inside the academy. After all, for the first time in many years that have passed, a Wight has finally stepped foot into their academy.

"Alright, I'll be on your team later, okay?" August sternly said, so she just gasped before giving her a tight hug.

"Of course, you will never be out of there!" She beamed, but after the jogging finished, no one invited Athena to play because she was a Wight.

They were both just sitting on the bench around the court while watching their classmates have fun while playing, "Hey! Give us a turn to play!" August screamed, but no one minded her.

"You guys haven't played yet?" They both flinched after they heard their teacher, so they both just nodded.

"And this guy too," A random creature pointed at Azure, but he just had his legs crossed against each other with his arms on his chest.

"These selfish brats and you're the scholar, right?" Rudolf asked while checking his attendance list, "You're Athena,"

"Y-Yes and this is August, that's Azure," Athena pointed to them, but Azure just hissed while shaking his head.

"Alright, you three are going to play together, get out of there you brats before I punish you!" Their teacher raised his voice, so everyone just complained.

"What can a Wight like her do to help us? She would just be a nuisance," A she-wolf rolled her eyes. If she remembers it correctly, she's called Rose.

"I don't like to hear some nonsense," Rudolf announced before glancing at the three, "Go on, play well, okay?"

"T-Thank you, teacher," Athena gave him a huge smile before dragging August inside of the court, "You too, Azure, come here!" She called, so he just sighed since their teacher was looking at them.

"Fine," He coldly replied before deciding to enter the court and position himself wherever he liked to stay.

On the other side of the court, the athletes of their academy decide to play off with them since they're classmates.

"Alright, let's bring that Wight down and let her realize that she doesn't belong here," They all mischievously laughed after they cheered for their team.

To be continued...

Chapter 3 Sporty

The game finally started and the athletes, on the other hand, were confident, since they knew Athena was a Wight, plus the ones that were left were useless since they were felines.

"Alright, let the games begin!" Rudolf whistled, so everyone cheered and watched. They wanted to see how they would take a Wight down, especially her flaming spirit.

They got to do service first and they purposely targeted her face. After she spiked the ball, it really went directly to Athena's position.

All of them were about to celebrate and laugh but stopped when she managed to get the ball easily and asked August to raise it for her.

"Alright, here you go, Athy!" August skillfully tossed the ball. They didn't know that she knew her way around different balls, she was a feline after all.

After the ball was raised to her in zone II, she immediately ran and jumped like no one else could or much higher compared to hers.

Everyone was surprised when she spiked the ball and it hit the first line. They were all astounded before looking at Athena with wide eyes. Even August was surprised, but she just smirked.

"Waa August, we got the first point!" She cheered before running to hug her teammates, except for Azure who was just watching the game from the back.

The athletes cursed her from the other court as it was finally Azure's turn to do service for the team.

He looked like he wasn't in the mood when he spiked the ball after the whistle was blown, so everyone was surprised that it landed on the line near zone I and V.

"Oh! That's so amazing Azure! High five!" Athena beamed while raising her hands at him, but he paid her no mind.

"This jerk is really starting to get on my nerves," August was clenching her fists, so she decided to stop her again.

"It's fine, it's fine, let's just play, okay?" Athy beamed, so she just sighed before nodding at her.

The rest of the game turned out well and they were attracting some crowd, "Alpha! Someone's trying to beat our best athletes, come watch!" Someone called Armani from his room.

"What? Who in the hell could do that?" Armani Luis Parven almost growled, he's the Alpha of the werewolf pack inside of the academy.

"Yes, I heard she was a Wight!" One of the she-wolves said, so his eyes widened. A Wight? Are they f.ucking kidding him? He thought.

"Let me check," He decided to leave the room before checking the gym class together with his underlings. His eyes were immediately on the volleyball court and that's where he saw a woman with jet-black hair and sky-blue eyes spiking the ball on the first line.

"Woah, I still can't believe she's that Wight! We heard she's pretty smart and now she's probably sporty too," One of his packs commented, so he glared at them.

"Quiet! I'm trying to watch it, okay?" He growled before noticing that Wight was probably the most beautiful girl he had seen inside of this academy.

"She looks hot dude; do you think she'll invite us home?" The wolves laughed, so he glared at them.

They all piped down because he was using his dominance over them, "Don't you go after her without my permission,"

"Oh, does Alpha have a crush? She's not your mate, right?" The she-wolf teased, so he just rolled his eyes at them.

"A wight wouldn't be my mate, but I'm interested in her, so stay away," He growled at them, so everyone just whined.

The game ended as Athena won together with her team. Their professor spoke to them just in case they wanted to join the volleyball club.

"O-Oh um, I'll think about it teacher, thank you!" She beamed before leaving together with August.

"They just won because Azure keeps on trying to get the ball to himself when he knew that Wight is about to fail," Armani heard some she-wolves, so he glanced at the man that they were talking about.

He has gray eyes and jet-black hair with highlights of dark blue, he looks intimidating and handsome at the same time.

"But of course, I'm more handsome than him," He sniggered, before deciding to approach Athena, who was preoccupied with grabbing her things.

"Hey there, I'm Armani Luis Parven, Alpha of the Werewolves," He gloated his title, but Athena didn't mind him.

"Hey, woman, I'm talking to you!" He raised his voice at her because he doesn't like to be ignored like that. His handsomeness doesn't deserve it.

"Oh um, are you talking to me?" Athena pointed to herself before glancing at August, who was covering her nose.

"Who else will I talk to aside from a beautiful Wight like you?" He playfully winked, so she thought it was weird.

Both of them almost lost their balance when someone purposely bumped into them, "Damn it, watch where you're going!"

Azure stopped after he heard that complaint, "Oh? I didn't know you were a werewolf, I thought it was a loitered trash, my bad," He left after he said those words.

"What is up with that–ugh! Follow him and make him pay for what he did to me," Armani ordered, but he was stopped by Athena.

"N-No, don't come after him, he's nice but rude, do you get me?" She tried to explain, so he just furrowed his eyebrows at her.

He then just shook his head before smirking at her, "Fine, but you have to promise me that you will eat lunch with us,"

August decided to step in before glaring at them, "You stinking dogs! We don't have to eat lunch with you guys," She hissed.

They were glaring at each other intently until Athena decided to step in, "A-Alright everyone, calm down, we'll eat lunch together if that's what you want, okay? We will just get changed into decent clothes. Come on, August,"

After she dragged August away from there, she started complaining, "Athy! Why did you agree to eat with them? You don't have to, you know?" She sighed.

"I-I don't want to cause trouble for you, I heard that werewolves, vampires, witches, and felines don't get along that much, it would be a huge problem if we stirred up something there," Athena mumbled.

She was surprised that she even knew about that, she pays attention well to things that shouldn't be important to her.

"Well, thank you for looking out for me, but now we're going to have our first lunch dealing with those dogs," August hissed, irritation was evident in her eyes, so she bit her lip for a moment.

"I'm really sorry, and by the way, where are the witches and vampires?" Athena curiously asked before they both decided to take a shower because they were sweaty.

"I don't care about them, but most witches stay in their room, they're too lazy to start a fight, unlike vampires and werewolves," She answered.

She wondered for a moment before turning off the showers. After she dried herself, she wore her black and white uniform.

"Okay, are you ready, August? It's lunchtime now," She called from the lockers while combing her hair, so she just waited for her to get out.

August just nodded at her before sighing, "I'm ready to be bummed out while eating with those stinking dogs," She hissed.

She felt bad for a moment before clinging to her arms, "I know this is just the first day that we met, so I'm sorry for dragging you into this," Athena sincerely apologized.

August just shook her head at her, "You don't have to say sorry, dummy, just don't be nice to everyone or they will take advantage of you," She scolded, so she pouted before nodding.

"I will now let's go, I'm starving," Athena beamed before dragging her out of the girl's shower room.

It wasn't a while until they both realized that they were walking with swarms of students around them, "Woah, I didn't know that there were so many students here. Well, yeah, I mean it's huge, but still, these numbers of creatures around surprise me,"

"I know, right? Let's go quickly before we miss all of the good stuff!" August dragged her this time, so she just giggled and didn't mind those swarms of eyes that were looking at her intently.

Being part of the Luxine Academy scholars has a lot of benefits. She can order meals without paying and buy uniforms without paying.

Everything is paid for by the school, so if you're a scholar from the academy, everyone will worship you.

"Oh, they have a strawberry shortcake on the menu, oh my felines!" August squealed before grabbing it from the cafeteria and a carton of milk.

Athena just watched her grab a lot of things as she decided to get a cake and a beef and mushroom meal.

She had never tasted one before since she only ate vegetables at the house. They occasionally ate meat since it was expensive in their market.

"Hey, pretty girl! Over here!" Someone called, but both August and Athena didn't mind them as they kept on looking for some drinks.

"Athena! Over here!" She flinched when someone called her name, so she glanced at the back and noticed a table full of werewolves looking at them intently.

Their ears were twitching and some of them looked like they were wagging their tails, "Ugh, I feel like I'm going to barf already," August rolled her eyes before looking at Athena, "Are you sure you're up for this?" She curiously asked.

Athena just slowly nodded at her, "Just for today, we just have to endure it for today," She mumbled before smiling.

August thought she was too nice, so she just shook her head before walking toward the table of those dogs.

"Why is a Feline here?" One of the werewolves asked after they arrived at the table. August was about to give him a piece of her mind when Athena grabbed her hand before smiling at them.

"She's my friend and I want to eat with her with everyone, is that okay?" She glanced at Armani, so he just sighed before nodding.

"Boys, be nice, she's this beautiful woman's friend," Armani scolded, so everyone piped down.

She thought being an Alpha was such a powerful role. He can link to them wherever they are and dominate them, so she thought it was cool.

Athena and August sat down together near the Alpha of the werewolves. They ate silently as some of the werewolves were making a mess.

She could feel that August was starting to be pissed off, so she wanted this lunch to be finished as much as possible.

"So, you're the Wight scholar, huh? That means you're pretty smart," Armani smirked, so she tilted her head for a moment.

"W-Well um, you could say that," She smiled and felt uneasy every time they call her a Wight, is it really impossible for them to think that Wights are smart too? She thought.

"Oh, is that so," Armani nodded before grabbing the devil chocolate cake that was placed in the center of the table.

"W-What are you doing, are you going to eat that?" Athena worriedly asked, so he confusingly nodded at her.

"Yeah, is there something wrong with it?" He smirked, "Chocolates are delicious, they're good for our bodies," After he said those words, he took one mouthful of it.

She examined the chocolate cake for a moment before clenching her fists, "Don't eat that," She whispered, which surprised everyone.

"Are you trying to order me around, beautiful woman?" Armani asked, the hint of anger evident in his tone.

"Chocolates are not good for werewolves," Athena whispered, so he stopped for a moment before laughing.

"I'm not dumb to eat chocolate cake that isn't for werewolves–" Armani stopped talking when she slammed her fist on their table.

Everyone was surprised at her sudden reaction before grabbing the cake away from him, "N-No you can't eat this, someone used magic on this to let you smell that it's the safe chocolate for you,"

"Chocolates like this are poisonous for werewolves, so please, you have to believe me because I don't want you to hurt yourself," She mumbled, so everyone just looked at her intently.
