Chapter 1

The room was modern and elegant, and there was a modern conference table in the middle that was worth a thousand dollars. Big businessmen and important people are discussing the contract there. Adelaide looked at Sebastian, who was discussing his new business proposal.

"As you know, the history of clothes stems from our founders, our ancestors. However, these clothes are hard to wear on this day. That is why we created a new set of designs, where our traditional clothes can be worn, as modern national clothing," he said, and let them see their designs.

It was a variety of traditional clothes from different countries that can be worn in the modern world.

"For example, this clothing of women from the Philippines, a filipiniana, had a modern design," and he scrolled, "And this one is from Japan, where kimono can be worn just like this," and pointed to one of the models he brought.

"That is wonderful! What about the cost? And manufacturer?"

"That's what we are going to discuss for the remaining time, gentleman," he said, and took full control of the situation. He looked at Adelaide, smiling.

Adelaide looked at him with admiration. Her boyfriend, the one who discussed earlier, is Sebastian Verlice. They are both just middle class and not rich, but have dreamed of it together since they were in high school.

"You did a good job there," she said while they were walking, "Wanna grab some drinks before we go home?" she asked, and Sebastian smiled at her.

"Sure," he answered immediately and stretched his hand, "So tiring!" he giggled and they had reached the parking lot where their car was parked. It was joined too, because they have reinvested everything back into the business.

"You know, you were really cool back there," she said when he had started the engine, "We really have come so far." she smiled at him.

"Well, we work hard every day. Isn't it time for us to settle down?" he asked, and Adelaide immediately blushed.

"W-what are you saying?" she smiled and he got something out of his pocket. It was a box of rings. Adelaide immediately knew what it was. "A-are-" she was cut off when Sebastian had, suddenly taken a peck on her lips.

"Adelaide," he called her name and took her hand, "Will you marry me?" he asked, and Adelaide did not know how to respond.

"Oh my gosh!" she said and covered her mouth, "Of course, YES! YES!" she said and it was a very romantic drive inside the car. They kissed each other.

Adelaide put her hand on the back of his nape and passionately kissed him when they had realized that they were in a public place and stopped.

"W-when did you get the ring? I was almost by your side 24/7!" she exclaimed, and Sebastian chuckled.

"Well, I wondered about it for a very long time, you know," he winked at her, "The pearl was actually..." he paused and looked at her, anticipating his next response.

"What?" she smiled like there's no tomorrow.

"Well..." Sebastian scratched the back of his head, "I dived it when I got on the business trip, and decided to put it as a decoration in the ring," he smiled at her and Adelaide felt so touched that tears started falling in her eyes.

"H–hey, are you unhappy? Why are you crying? You do not have to force yourself if you don't want to," he said, and started wiping her tears.

"No... no," she said, "I'm just so happy right now..." she sobbed.

"Shush now, honey," he said, "I promised to take care of you for the rest of my life," he said, and softly brushed her hair. She felt comfortable.

When they opened the door of their apartment, they put the beer on the table and they started kissing each other. Sebastian carried her in a bridal style until they had reached the bed.

"I haven't taken a bath yet," Adelaide was uneasy, but then Sebastian had stopped her.

"It's alright," and they continue kissing each other. It was a very passionate night they shared, and a new journey for both of them.

Morning came and an invitation from the Luceria, one of the biggest names in the fashion industry and owned the biggest airline in the world. Their family is one of the largest distributors of the lotus flower fabric.

"Oh my gosh, Sebastian!" Adelaide excitedly said, and Sebastian rushed to her and his hands crawled around her waist, giving her a morning backhug.

"What is it, huh?" he asked while hugging her tightly and sniffing her neck.

"Stop it, Sebby!" she said, "It tickles!" she said when he suddenly cupped her breast while she was still facing the sink. "Ahhh..." she moaned and wanted more, but then she had stopped.

"This is very important!" she said and slightly pushed him, "An invitation from the Luceria!" she excitedly gave it to him.

"Really? We got invited?" he asked with a face full of excitement.

"Yes!"

The night of the party came and there were different people- all with established names in the fashion industry and other industries-who were invited!

"Stay here," he said when one of the executives called for him. Adelaide smiled and grabbed a wine glass.

"Sure," she said, looked around and he left. Adelaide is not really fond of parties like this, but because she needed to stay by his side, she did not hesitate to come.

The venue is different from usual ones. It was an old castle that is said to be one of the estates owned by the Luceria Family. She decided to go to one of the terraces, open it and see the moon and the beautiful view of the garden.

"This place is so beautiful," she said when she saw a lake nearby, glistening under the moonlight, "So beautiful," she said, and took a sip of a glass of the wine again when someone had opened the door on the terrace.

"H–Hi!" she stuttered, but the man had remained silent. He was wearing a mask and he had blonde hair. It was dark and she could not see him clearly.

"What are you doing in my special place?" he asked coldly, and she gulped.

"I'm sorry, it was unlocked and I didn't know that it was not allowed to come here," she had apologized instantly.

"Well, I shouted that no one is allowed to come here," he shrugged his shoulders, "You must be new to these parties," he said, as he walked towards the end of the terrace. His composure is so bold and powerful.

"I-uhh, yes," she answered and when she felt that it was getting awkward, "I'll go now," she said when he looked at her again.

"Wait," he said, "You know, it's been a while since I talked to someone. Do you mind staying for a bit?"

Adelaide was not sure what to respond and how at that moment. Sebastian takes time during his meetings, and she likes the scenery too. It was the only place that was not locked. Moreover, she is getting bored at the banquet.

"Well, I would love to," she said, and they talked about it.

It was a week after that birthday party banquet when they had met. Adelaide has been getting gifts from him, and they are frequently invited to Luceria's company. Time passed by, it had already been six months since then, and the invitation for their wedding had been finalized.

"Do you think we could invite Mr Luceira?" Adelaide asked and was excited to give out all the invitations to her relatives and friends.

"That's a good idea!" Sebastian excitedly said, "It would surely be a boost to our new business if he attends!"

"Yes, you really are so great!" she giggled and they looked at each other. "We are really getting married..." she said and smiled.

It was a special day that was something special. That is why she had doubled her effort that day and wanted to take her to one of the most special places.

"See you later and take care," she waved at him before she entered her office. She works as a Corporate & Public Affairs Department Manager of an accounting firm. She was an accountant.

"Good morning, Ma'am," many employees greeted her. She is a very respectable woman who has built her career all by herself. That is why many looked up to her.

Graduated at the Valedictorian of their batch, the youngest woman bachelor to be one of the board of directors of the International Accountants...

"Let's work hard again today, shall we?" she said and smiled at them.

"Yes, ma'am!" All the people that work for her are very motivated because their boss, Adelaide, is a very hardworking woman. The epitome of beauty and brain.

She sat down at her table when her phone beeped.

"I'll fetch you later after work," she had automatically smiled after receiving that message from him.

"Alright. Take care and see you later!" she could contain her happiness, because it meant that he had remembered what day it was today. She had everything.

A successful career, beauty, and love life. Moreover, they are getting married. Today is their anniversary of being a couple.

"Sebastian..." his mother called to him, "You should give this to her." it was a beautiful necklace with a large pendant in the middle.

"Isn't this your beloved necklace that was given to you by father?" he asked and looked at her. She smiled.

"I'm old now, Sebastian," she said, "Adelaide is a wonderful woman, and now you two are planning to get married, she deserves it," He immediately smiled and hugged her.

"Thank you, Mother,"

"Be happy, My Son,"

And then he bought a bouquet, prepared a special dinner on the roof top of the condo where they are living now with her favorite theme. Everything is prepared, all that's left is to fetch her.

He touched his chest and sighed.

"This is it," he said and pulled out the ring from his pocket, "I am ready to propose now formally." he said, while a diamond ring that he had prepared for this event had fitted her again. One last time is bigger.

He excitedly rode the car to fetch Adelaide at 7PM. Adelaide was patiently waiting for him in the lobby, because he was never late.

That would have been a pleasant night for them to celebrate. A happiness that they can share with future generations.

"I'm near, honey," he said while looking at the ring and driving.

Blinding lights had filled the vision of Sebastian while he was extending his hands and doing his best to avoid the truck that lost control of itself, but he was too late. It had crashed into his car, leaving him wounded and trapped in the middle. The impact was so strong.

BOGSHHHHH!

"Sebastian? Hello? What happened?!" she called to him and started panicking because of the crashing sound.

"I love you... A...de...laide..."

Chapter 2

The sound of sirens is all over the place. Adelaide was still in shock about what had happened and rushed to use the GPS to locate him and reported it to the police. With trembling hands, she dialed...

"Hello, this is the GP Police Department, how may I help you?" a sweet voice came from the other side of the line.

"I...I..." Adelaide cannot speak a word due to the extreme fear she is feeling right now. Fear that she might lose him forever, and praying that what she is thinking that happened is not true.

"Yes, ma'am, are you okay?" the other line asked and started to get worried about her. She cried and sobbed.

"I need help, I have been on a call with my boyfriend but suddenly there's a loud sound in his background," she said and clenched her fist, "I am really really worried right now."

"Alright, ma'am, you should stay where you are and keep calm. Are you in a safe location?" they asked, and they tried their best to speak. They are now tracking the location of the caller.

"Y-yes... I'm in my company," she said and realized that they might be tracking her now, "Don't track me and instead send help to my boyfriend. I-I last saw him..." she said and struggled to check the GPS.

"Where, ma'am?" they had focused on her and started searching for the location. She gulped.

"I...it's Jade Street near the Amsterdam Hotel," she said and sat on the floor, "P-please see if he is alright," she said, and almost cannot walk because of extreme shock and anxiety. She gulped and sobbed.

"Alright, please stay where you are and we will send a team now to Jade Street," she said and had locked something on the computer. The response is fast and, at the same time, there is in her location. She tried navigating her phone more while the rescuers had driven her to the location.

Extreme anxiety and worry filled her heart. For every distance the car takes while going near the location, it is getting worse.

What happened to him? I hope he is safe! Oh, Lord, please let him be safe! I don't know what I'd do without him in my life.

Tears kept falling from her eyes because of the extreme distress she is feeling right now. She is praying with all her might for Sebastian to be safe. Trembling so hard, she saw the extremity of the situation where the pile of junk and parts of the truck, like the tire and storage unit, had been splattered all over the place.

When she turned to the right side, she saw that car. His favorite color, blue. It was a Maruti Ertiga Blue, that is spacious inside, and so that when they had their child, it was easier to move around.

"Oh my gosh!" she said and rushed to the scene where the ambulance and other emergency units had gathered at that same place. Her heart beats faster every second that passes, and every distance she is near.

"Sebastian..." She called his name. His eyes are closed, and there is blood all over his body. His car had crashed-- like it was flattened because of the impact. The rescuers are having a hard time pulling off his body.

"Sebastian!" she tried to come near him, she wanted to hold him and tell him that everything was going to be alright. That what's happening is not real. The rescuers and medical team had stopped her, all she could do was cry and rampage back there.

"No, no! This is not happening!" she said when the doctor had finally stabilized her and performed some medical techniques. She cried and cried back then until everything became blurry... and the once loud environment had been silenced.

"Where am I?" she asked and looked around. She was at the hospital. There is also a dextrose attached to her body. Adelaide felt so weak, and could barely open her eyes.

"Y-you're awake," it was Sebastian's mother, Leila, who rushed towards her and held her hand. "You must be thirsty, here is water," she said and Adelaide gulped. She handed her the water which she had gulped.

"Thank you, Auntie," and she handed the glass of water back to her, "Where is Sebastian?" she asked, and she could feel her insides twitching, and she had expected a nice answer from her. Leila remained silent and on the verge of tears.

"Where is he, Auntie?" at that moment she knew. The deafening silence had filled the room, until they heard the son of each other and the pain coming from their hearts.

"He's gone," Leila said, "The doctor said he was dead on arrival."

She felt like her heart and life had lost her when she heard those words. Nothing is enough to describe what she is feeling right now.

"N-no...!" she said and Leila came to her while crying too.

"Please, calm down... it's bad for the baby..."

"B-baby?" she asked and felt her stomach. The founding of her heart is not enough to describe what she is feeling right now.

"You are pregnant,"

***

A month had passed since then and Adelaide put her flower for Sebastian. She is crying so hard, that no matter what the doctor said about her pregnancy, it does not matter at all.

Leila, Sebastian's mother, is in the hospital and weak due to stress. Luckily, her fiance had made a fortune on her medical expenses, and she had money for the baby too.

"Adelaide," she looked up to see that. He was a dashing young man of his age, except that he was extremely powerful for that age. She wiped her tears and was still mourning the unfortunate happening that happened that day.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, and tried to be polite as much as possible, even though she felt like dying right there and followed Sebastian. She was so devastated at what happened that she did not have the strength to deal with other people.

"I just wanted to check on you," she smiled, because there were a lot of people who wanted to sympathize with her and were by her side. But what she needs right now is not that.

She could not utter the word thanks. Because this moment would never have happened if it weren't for her beloved. The investigation is still going on right now into what happened.

"I'm sorry Sir, but I wanted to be alone," she said with a crackling voice. She did not want to cry like that anymore. Every day has been hard for her.

"I understand," he said and handed her a handkerchief instead, "I'll always be here if you need me." he added.

That moment, Adelaide was not sure why he said that. She remained at the top of the grave.

Months later, Adelaide is getting by. She tried to move on and was almost sent to an asylum, but thanks to Damien, she did not have to.

"You don't have to do this," she said and smiled at Damien. "I know you are a busy person," she said, but Damien just smiled at her and smelled her hair.

"You smell so sweet," he said, ignoring her and continuing smelling her hair.

"No, I haven't even taken a bath yet!" she said and blushed, continuing to water her plants. She then turned to him and faced him. Her stomach is big, and it can be seen now.

Damien chuckled and looked at her eyes. He then squatted until he was at the level of the baby.

"You know, your mommy is getting more and more ill-tempered as the day goes by," and he poked Adelaide's stomach, "Don't be like her, okay?" he said and smiled.

Adelaide rolled her eyes but then smiled.

"Hey, I'm not that ill-tempered!" she said.

"Well, that's what you think," It was a warm and comfortable morning for both of them. Damien looked up at her and stood up.

"Adelaide, I've been thinking..." he said, and she looked at him. He held her two hands very gently. "It would be sad if your child grew up without a father," he said, and that had struck Adelaide because she had been thinking the same thing too.

It was sad enough to see her beloved fiance die like that when they had planned everything. He put her right on his face, while he was smiling.

"I am willing to be the father of your child, Adelaide."

Chapter 3

Adelaide was taken back by that question.

"W-what?" she asked again, wondering if she had just heard him wrong, but then he kissed her hand and grabbed it.

"I said that I am willing to be the father of your child," he said, and Adelaide pulled it off.

"You know, I am thankful and all for your help, but I don't think I am ready for that yet..." she said and looked away. Damien knew that was not going to be easy and thus prepared for the rejection. After all, he is not a man who will give up. After all those things he had done so far.

"I am willing to wait, Adelaide," he said and stood up, "Just know that I will always be here for you," he said. But then Adelaide couldn't even answer him and just looked at him. She sighed.

"Thank you," Damien smiled at that response, because she was not rejecting her or knew, and he knew that was such a positive response coming from her.

"I'll go now," he said, and Adelaide nodded, and was left there alone.

"Bang, bang!" is the sound of the gun that can be heard not far away. Damien had arrived at the scene and borrowed an MP5 from one of his men before he had fired it at the man that had run not far away. A flash of an evil scar had appeared in his eyes.

"Want a cigarette, boss?" one of his men handed to it to him but to their surprise, he shook his head.

"No, it's bad for Adelaide," he mentioned her name, and it was as if they heard him wrong. It was the first time they had heard him refuse a cigarette, especially when he had killed a person like that.

"O-okay..." they said and carefully put it in their pocket. It seems that their boss really fell in love this time. Will he settle down?

"Any news about Dominguez?" he asked and kicked the corpse of the pleading man in front of him. He was bathing in his own blood but he did not care.

"P-please, don't kill me! M-my wife is waiting for me at home!" he pleaded and tugged his slacks. He grinned at him.

"Be grateful that I am in a good mood today," he smiled and put the gun on his head.

"The youngest heir, Ezekiel Dominguez, has arrived today at the GP Airport," the assistant said, and his attention was caught by the struggling man.

"P-please..." he cried and pulled Damien's slacks.

"You know this will happen once you break the rules." he said, "You just reap what you sow," he said and slowly pulled up the trigger and pointed it at his head.

"Bang!"

That is the real Damien Luceria. He was sweet like a sly fox, but it was in his blood to be violent, and killed like it was nothing. At the young age of 18, he inherited their company and became the youngest billionaire of all time. He also managed the underworld manages. It is composed of many different clans, but he rises to the top.

The four clans that control it are the: Luceria, Dominguez, McVille, and Cunningham. One word from them is what makes the underworld move. But it was total chaos when they fought.

AND things are not looking good between Luceria and Dominguez. That is because of a certain land, the GP Country. It was the most neutral country that they must not possess, but recently had been making moves to dominate it.

"The heir of the Dominguez, huh..." he said and chuckled, "That fool really had the nerves to come here to the GP Country." The man behind him were all silent and just watched him fire another round of bullets at the dead body.

Back to reality. His Point of View.

I opened my eyes and saw the cream-colored room. It was nice and cozy. I tried to move around and fell on the bed instead.

"Young Master!" the maid had rushed to me with a worried expression like I was so fragile. I had immediately stood up and fixed myself when he had assisted me, and some other maids. I don't remember hiring maids, and on top of that, their uniforms are like those on TV! Yes, those costumes.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" they constantly asked me and I felt like I was a child. I tried to raise my hand and they had all stopped, and the one close to me even closed his eyes.

"Wait, why are you so afraid?" I asked, because I didn't notice it the first thing in the morning but they looked awfully afraid of me. They were shaking and were very afraid to make any mistake, like if I was going to hit them.

"I-I'm sorry, Young Master! I deserve to be punished!" he said and trembled in my sight.

"Why do you keep calling me, Young Master?" I asked with a confused expression, "Is this one of Adelaide's pranks again? Where is she?" I asked and looked around with a soft expression. They were all confused at what I asked.

"Pardon us, Young Master?" the butler asked, "Who is Adelaide?"

I tilted my head because I was confused too. These are all luxurious things, and I bet one of the decorations here is very expensive. Me and Adelaide like to keep things simple and minimal.

"Adelaide, my fiancee," I chuckled, "Where is she?" I asked because I had just too many of her pranks on me! I really need to punish her. Hmmn.

"But Young Master, Ms. Beatrice is your fiancee and not Adelaide," they told me.

"W-what?! But I am sure that---" I bit my lips. Something is terribly wrong here. "C-can you get me a mirror?" they had panicked and I panicked too. This is just terrible!

"Y-yes--" they moved fast and did not disappoint me, when I was able to get a mirror with a gold plate in my hand. But that is not what's important right now!

A gorgeous face that is not mine is what welcomed me. His radiant blue eyes and blonde hair are just insane.

"W-what is my name?" I asked and they looked more confused.

"It was Ezekiel Dominguez, the youngest Son of Lord Elias," the butler had said, "We are glad that you have regained your consciousness after coming here last night."

I was lost for words. Ezekiel, that troublemaker that is always in the news?! Have I become him?! What the hell is happening?

"What day is today?" I asked and bit my lips. I touched my face and looked at my arms. I know that I have a good body, but this one is just too flawless. What the hell?

"It's June 2025, young master," they answered. I trembled at that and it was just terrible.

"J-June 2025, you say..." I said and could not take it. "What happened to me, why am I here?!" I panicked and they did not know what to do with me at that moment.

It's too much for me to absorb what happened, but then I came to accept it. It seems that the original owner of this body, Ezekiel. I sighed and drank another glass of wine. This is too much information that I can't keep up with.

I am Sebastian Verlice. That is my real name! There is no way that this is my body! I am not him, I am not Ezekiel!

"If I kill myself right now... will I be able to come back to my own body?" I asked because my mind was hazy and was not able to remember anything. I looked at the silent garden before me while the moon was the only source of light. The lake is also beautiful from this angle. I positioned myself to jump.

"Do not jump," it was a cold voice that cold me. I was about to jump when I heard that. Suddenly, flashes of memories came to my mind.

It was a loud environment with the excruciating pain that I felt when I had crashed into the truck. I tried my best to avoid it and I was too late. I see myself hanging on and fighting for my dear life. But it was my body that had given up and was taken by the darkness.

"I died..." I whispered and cannot believe what happened. I lost my balance and sat on the floor with trembling hands.

"Yes," it was the cold voice again, and I felt like it was looking at me, but there was no one there, when a faint light appeared out of nowhere, "And because of the strong desire of your heart, you made it back to the world."

"W-what the hell are you?!" I asked and moved backwards, "What the hell are you saying?! Why would that happen? Adelaide... how is she?!" I continuously asked him because I am so confused right now and needed answers. I am lost for words and desperately need answers now.

"I am the God between life and death, Osiris," he said, "You are dead, but because of your strong desire to live, I gave you a second chance." he explained to me and I listened.

"So, I truly died back then..." he whispered silently and sighed.

"Yes,"

"Why am I in this body then? Is there a way that I can go back to my body?" I asked him. It was strange to talk without seeing the person. I looked around to see if there was a camera and a speaker but it seemed that there was none. This is really strange! All of it!

"You just have one rule and one mission to obey in this body, you cannot tell anyone that you came back to life. However, that body will not be yours forever. You need to find where the soul of Ezekiel is and have it rest forever or else, he will wander forever and that body will rot away. You have 24 months," God explained.

"W-what the hell?! 24 months?! How the hell will I find him in that short amount of time?" he asked confused in a very confused expression.

"It's up to you. If you wanted to leave this world after 24 months, there is no problem." and I felt that want God was messing up with me when I heard that.

"Well, then, see you..." God said, and the flickering light slowly vanished.

"W-wait! I still have a lot of things to ask you!" I tried to keep up with him but he just...

I sat on the floor and not sure what to do anymore. I have a lot of things on my mind.

"Young master, what are you doing there?!" asked the guard when he was roaming around and saw me sitting on the terrace. I waved at him and smiled.

"Don't worry about me, I'm just getting a fresh air," I said and smiled at him, in which he still looked worried about that.

What am I going to do now? I was really... really...

But I need to find Adelaide first! I... We still have a chance, right?

I said when I dropped the invitation on the floor. My Adelaide is getting married to that bastard!

"Hah..."
