Phil Cole was a 16 year old boy, who was too young to be dating, apparently. He had hard luck in relationships already at 16. I mean 16!
He started dating when he was 13 years old. He was in the 8th grade, his girlfriend cheated on him with a guy who had a phone and was carrying it to school and Phil didn't even have one.
At 14, he was dumped for being serious all the time. Phil didn't know how to have fun. Imagine getting dumped for being yourself? Phil went through a lot at 14.
14!
At 15, he got cheated on twice. The first one cheated on him, because she was just like that. To refrain from euphemism, she was a slut!
The second one cheated on him with her male friend. That one hurt hurt Phil a lot because all along he thought the guy was his then girl's cousin. It were the memories that hurt him a lot.
At 16 then, Phil wasn't dating anyone. Relationships gave him a knock out like Mike Tyson and he was still down. He never rose to date any girl ever since.
Let's read more to find out if Phil rose and continued his journey to Broken Hearts City or if he continued to rest. Hmm, maybe he ended up finding the one. Let's read to find out.
The sadistic sun was smiling pleasantly, sun-burning everyone who was exposed to it. Phil was relaxingly seated under a big tree along with his best friends John and Rob, covered by a friendly shadow of a tree.
Rob was the fun one and John was the troublesome one. John was always one to get into trouble everywhere he went. He was recklessly impulsive and high spirited.
John once got into trouble in his life for stalking a girl that he saw and liked at that day. He followed her to the point where he even ended up following her to the female's rest room.
Phil and Rob then began to joke about him being possessed by a psyche demon. On the bright side, being a troublesome did earn him some satisfaction with girls. Girls loved John for how reckless he was.
Rob was the kind of guy who had a lot of girlfriends on social media, because of his jokes, but he never slept with any of them.
Outside of social media, he was just as miserable as a Barcelona fan hoping for a Champions League trophy.
As they were all chilling on a shadow. They were all sucked up from the Sun's heat.
Rob : Phil, let's go to your house and swim.
Phil : No. It's too hot.
John : Yeah. I'm not leaving this chilled place.
Rob : Okay. Let's have a swimming pool party tomorrow.
John : Awesome. Girls only!
Phil : Stop shouting, man.
Rob : No. Let's invite friends only.
John : Including female friends, right?
Rob : Yeah. Sure.
John : Awesome. Let's party up, people!
Phil : John!
John : I wasn't loud.
Phil : You were. Where are you guys going to host this party again?
Rob : Your house.
Phil : Ha, no way. No absolute way.
John : Stop being a little virgin girl from college dude.
Phil : Uhm, I'm not. Plus my parents are going to kill me.
Rob : You really are being a little virgin girl from college.
Phil : Okay. Since you two are being grown up virgin girls from college. Where are we going to get booze and food?
Rob : Relax about that. John and I are going to handle the booze.
Phil : Uhm, you're forgetting food.
John : Phil, when you grow up you'll understand that people don't swim and eat, they swim and drink; they don't drink and eat, they drink and swim.
Phil : Ah, shut up. I'm sure not everyone will be swimming. We'll do need food.
Rob : the little virgin girl from college has a point.
John : We'll hook you up with some girl.
Phil : No. I don't want anything casual. This time I want something serious.
Rob : You're saying that as if you have been in a casual relationship with someone before.
John : At least he sees the girls that he dates.
Then Phil and John broke out with laughter. Laughing at Rob for only dating girls online.
Phil agreed at last to host a swimming pool party at his home with John and Rob. The only trouble was that he had to make a way to lie to his parents about it.
Rob : You two, quit laughing. Let's think of a way to lie to Phil's parents.
Phil : Easy. I'll tell them the party is for a school project.
Rob : Dude. Are you sure you're 16, because you sound like you're 6 years old?
John : I'll handle this. Don't follow me.
John stood up and stretched himself.
"Where are you going?" Both Rob and Phil asked.
John ignored their question and walked away.
Rob looked at Phil, "did he seriously leave two quests at his home?"
"Yeah. That's what he just did."
"He didn't even hire us for house-keeping."
"He'll come back, just now."
John made a stop at Phil's house knocked oddly at the door. "Uh, I knew it was you," Phil's father said as he opened the door.
"Can I talk to you in private, Mr. Cole."
Mr. Cole cleared his throat. "Yeah, sure."
"Kid, you have to stop blackmailing me like this," Mr. Cole scolded.
"Fine. I'll tell your wife," John said.
"Tell me what?" Mrs. Cole said as she magically appeared out of nowhere behind Mr. Cole's back.
"Nothing. It's a surprise," Mr. Cole said, shakily.
"Let me go then, I'm sorry I almost ruined it," Mrs. Cole said as she walked away.
"Don't worry, darling, he-he, he."
"Okay, so tomorrow, Phil, Rob and I want to host a party here in this yard. It'll not go in the house, it'll remain here outside. So please don't come early with your wife tomorrow."
"Okay, fine. Deal."
"It's always a pleasure doing business with you, sir."
"Get out of here before I change my mind."
"Or before I tell your wife." John winked and walked away.
When he arrived back to Phil and Rob, he told them that the party was on. Phil and Rob were curious and they kept asking John about his sudden disappearance, but he never told them the correct answer.
Later that day, when clouds were beginning to gather in the sky to block the sun. Phil, Rob and John freshened up and went to a liquor store.
The only problem was...at liquor stores you had to be at least 18 to buy booze. Phil was the only one who was under 18. Both John and Rob were 18 and Phil was 16.
"You guys get in, I'll wait for you here," Phil said as he buried his hands on his pockets.
"What?" Rob asked. "No. You're coming in with us," John said.
"I'm under eighteen, you guys." Phil looked at John and Rob separately.
"Phil, we are the ones buying. So come in with us and stop being a little virgin girl from college," Rob said.
"Okay, fine, if you'll stop calling me that," Phil finally agreed. "I hate you guys," he added.
"Pssh, yeah, right. As if you mean it," Rob said as he threw his arm around Phil's shoulders. "I do mean it," Phil glared. "Yeah. We love you, too, buddy," John said as he prodded Phil.
They walked in the liquor store, feeling the chills making itself comfortable on their skin.
They all sighed in relief and began walking around scanning prices of each pack of booze.
"The line's long," Rob said. "Why is there only one cashier in a liquor store?" Phil asked.
"Maybe the other one took a break, there are usually two cashiers around here," John said.
"Oh, look at this Gin, let's take it," Rob said with excitement. John grabbed it and checked for the alcohol percentage in it and handed it to Phil afterwards. "Yeah, it will work pretty great."
"We'll take two 24s of beers and two more bottles, right?" John asked.
"Yeah, I thi--"
Rob was cut short from his sentence by Phil.
"Wait." Phil made a wait gesture with his hands. "Two 24s? Isn't that like 48 beers?"
"Yeah, right. Good math," Rob said sarcastically.
"How many of us will be at the party?" Phil asked. "Don't worry, we'll invite like 10 people. Your swimming pool is big enough to fit 10 people," John said.
"Well, you're not wrong," Phil chuckled. "Yeah, so relax," Rob said.
They went to the fridge and took plenty of beers that made a number of 48 in total. "Phil, call your dad and tell him to come and fetch us," Rob said.
"Man, this trolley is full," Rob laughed.
Phil called his dad and he agreed to fetch them.
John : I have an idea.
Rob : What?
John : We will only take out 24 beers for the party and keep the other 24 for us.
Rob : Okay. Are you forgetting that we will be like 10?
John : Exactly, we'll tell others to bring their own booze.
Phil : That's cheeky.
"Let's go to the line, it's no long anymore," Rob said.
They walked to the line. Minutes later, it was their time to pay. John swiped his credit card and paid for the booze. John and Rob were carrying backpacks, they didn't need too many plastics-- plus, Phil's father was on his way.
"You small boys hosting a party?" The cashier asked with an attitude, chewing her gum exasperatingly. She looked to be around 40 something, she had a beautiful face but not a good attitude. It was either that or she was tired/fed up of working alone with plenty of customers coming in.
"Yeah, plus your daughter's invited," Rob said as John laughed. "Stop being so rude," Phil said.
Phil saw his father's car parking in the parking lot, through the window. "Here he is, forget about plastics," Phil said. "Give me this bag since it's already packed. I'll drop this booze at the car and come pack for another one," John said as he took Rob's backpack with booze.
John left his empty backpack with Phil to pack booze and walked out of the liquor store to Mr. Cole's car. Mr. Cole saw him coming and rolled down his window. "Please open up the trunk," John asked.
Mr. Cole opened up the trunk for John-- John opened his backpack and placed the booze in it and closed it. "Kid, don't get my son drunk," Mr. Cole said with a glare.
"I won't," John chuckled. John walked to the liquor store. "What took you so long," Phil asked. "Come on. Let's go," John said as he packed the remaining two packs. "Phil, carry that. They're not heavy," Rob said. "Yeah."
They walked out to Phil's father's car and they got in. "Phil, at a liquor store, seriously?" Mr. Cole laughed. "I thought you were going to be mad."
"I'm not mad at you. Have fun if you must, son." Mr. Cole roared the car engine to life and drove off. "So, what kind of party will you boys be having?"
"It's a swimming pool party," Phil said with joy on his face.
Phil was both shocked and excited that his father was not mad at him for hosting a party at his house.
"Okay. Nobody inside the house!" Mr. Cole insisted. "You can trust us on that, sir," Rob said. "Yes, I can trust you two but not John," he said.
They arrived at Phil's house and took all the booze to the house and put it in the fridge.
"Where's mom?" Phil asked.
"She's asleep, I told her that we'll be going to a hotel tonight and we won't be sleeping as we'll be having fun all night," Mr. Cole said as he made an indication of sex with his hands.
"Dad! Eww..." Phil grimaced. "Shhh."
John and Rob laughed softly.
Phil, John and Rob went by the swimming pool and they all took off their clothes and jumped in. "Warming up for tomorrow," Rob said as they all laughed.
"Phil, go to the house and take one bottle and three glasses. Since Rob and I will be sleeping here, we'll go and take our clothes that we'll change into," John said.
"Wait, you guys will sleep here?" Phil asked. "Yeah."
Rob climbed off the pool. "Where are you going?" John asked.
"Let's go and fetch our clothes now rather than later, bro," he said.
"Yeah, you're right," John said as he also got out of the pool.
