I Need You

Emily raced to her work place, she is twenty minutes late she hope madam Lisa doesn't notice her absence

It was hard getting the job and she does not want to lose it at least don't when she doesn't have another alternative.

She got there breathing hard she got to the dressing room and change to her uniform and move out packing her hair bun, she hurry to the counter to attend to customers she greeted Lovett

"You are late again madam Lisa was so angry the customers had to wait a long time"

She mouthed sorry as she attend to the customer that came in front of her very soon she got busy attending to customers

but then she noticed Lovett arguing with a customer causing distraction, she move closer to her and ask what the matter was

"He refused to pay for what he brought" she said really upset Emily turn to face the customer

It was a guy in his late twenties she ask Lovett to switch places with her Lovett move to the another counter and continue to attend to the customers while she faced the man

"What can I do for you" she asked politely the man sighs showed her the things he brought

"I forgot my wallet and I need the stuff and I promise to come back and pay for them"

"I'm sorry but there's a rule here, we are not allowed to sell to customers without them paying unless you have something you could put down as a guarantee that you will surely come back with the money" He searched his body for anything he could put down

"Can I put down my coat I don't seem to have anything on me" he said taking off his coat

"That will not be necessary" she said, she checked the total amount for the goods brought it was $120

"It seems you really need the stuff but please make sure you are come back before today end" she told him before handing over the goods to him

"thank you so much I really appreciate this" he said and leave in a rush

he come back again and Emily wondered what else he wanted he pick a paper from the desk and ask her for a pen

Emily gave him one from her pocket he wrote down a number and handed it over to her

"this is my number" he said and left.

"You just allow him go without paying?"

"Am sure he will come back to pay the money he seems to be in hurry to somewhere urgent" she explain to Lovett who doesn't see her decision as a good one

"I hope you know what you are doing" she said and they both continue their work

they close for the day but the guy hasn't come back, Emily managed to escape madam Lisa for the account details for the day but she hopes by tomorrow he would come and pay the money, if madam Lisa founds out she will definitely lose her job.

She walk to the subway the bus already arrive and was picking up passengers she ran quickly to join the group of people entering she sat down tiredly

she brought out her phone and check for messages from her younger ones there was none

"everything is find then" she thought and put the phone down to rest a little before she reaches her destination

she got down and walk the remaining distance home dragging her feet she got to the fast food restaurants close to her house the light was on she went in and met Steve and Louis busy as usual serving customers

Emily went and join them it was past ten when they were free enough to have dinner they all settle down on a table at the corner of the shop they laugh and talk as they eat after their dinner they close up and walk home together

when Steve got to his doorstep he wave them goodnight Emily and Louis also went in they met Lucy lying down watching the TV

Louis pull her leg down and sit down relaxing Lucy hit him and sit upright as she pick up the bottle on the table to have a drink

but Louis beat her to it they both fight over the bottle they both ended up spilling it all over the floor.

Emily watch them argue she left them to take a shower she came out and met Lucy waiting by the door she quickly run in

"We seriously need to move to a place with two bathroom" she shouted

"Then you should start working instead of lazing about all day" Emily replied her she walk to hers and Lucy's room

she lie on the bed taking a rest from the day's work, her mind went to the guy she sold on credit for at the store

she really hope he comes back tomorrow and pay up she doesn't like getting scold by Madam Lisa she's quite abusive and hot tempered

she remember the guy writing her a number she stood up and check her bag the note wasn't there

"Maybe she left it at the store she will just look for it tomorrow" she lie back and sleep hoping to get enough rest for tomorrow.

The car came to a halt, Aiden pick up the stuff he brought and quickly run into the house he check his time and speed up his pace he saw Monica cuddling Kelvin he walk to them, Kelvin sighted him and went to hug him

Aiden hugged him back burying his face on his chest "its fine uncle is here now" he said to calm him down he seems sacred and was sad Aiden faced Monica and ask her what happened

"I just step out to dispose the bin and met her trying to kill herself and Kelvin, I was able to stop her and snatch Kelvin away from her"

"but before I could do anything further she ran inside her room and lock herself up I try opening the door but I can't I was scared she was going to hurt herself that's why I called you" she narrated

"Do you hear any sound from the room since she lock herself up?"

"No" she replied

Aiden moved to the door and knock gently "sis it's me open up" he said and knock again

still no response he took a brunch of keys from his pocket and unlock the door he move inside his eyes searching for her

"Sis I brought you......." He stop his sentence when he saw her sitting on the floor with blood stain beside her

"you even have the keys to my room now sounds like I don't even have my privacy anymore your family seems to be in control of everything you are our life dictator now aren't you" she said and laugh weakly.

Aiden bent down beside her and check her left arm it was bleeding he brought out the stuff he brought bandage, disinfectant and many others and start applying first aid to her wound

"my husband, there is no way he won't do that he is innocent and was framed he will never hurt a fly he's innocent he didn't do all what they said he did"

Aiden continue treating her arm trying not to let his tears fall after he was done he pull her into a hug

"I believe brother and I believe he's innocent" he said but was push away forcefully by her making him fall on the ground hurting his bones

"you don't believe him you are just deceiving me to believe you do you think my husband is a criminal he's your brother how could you"

she shouted raising her voice too high that Kelvin has to hold Monica tightly due to fear of his mother he hates it when she behaves like this

Aiden stood up ignoring the pain he was feeling and move close to hug her again consoling her she burst into tears letting herself rest on him

After consoling her for more than thirty minutes she finally calm down he led her to her bed and ask Monica to change her dress and make comfortable to be able to sleep while he goes attend to Kelvin

he lead him to his room and tuck him in bed, he wanted to leave since he has to go to office tomorrow but Kelvin begged him to wait till he sleep he pick up one of his bedtime storybooks and read to enable him sleep

"Do you think mum will ever regain her senses and grandfather will accept us back?"

Aiden stop reading the story not knowing how to reply him not wanting to lie or hurt him

"I just hope things go back to normal again I miss our old home" he said and fall asleep shortly too tired to drive home

Aiden lie down beside Kelvin in bed and before he knew it he slept off forgetting all about the counter girl he promise to come back and pay money to.

He woke up the next day founding himself sleeping on his nephew's bed he left them quietly and drove back to his house to prepare for the day he texted Monica and ask her to be extra attentive and make sure such never happens again

when he got home his secretary was already waiting for him he greeted him as he hurry to the shower to take a bath

After two hours he was done dressing up he sat down to eat breakfast as his secretary read the day schedule to him,

He nodded at every word he says not really paying attention, he got to his office and started the day work their company just about to launched their new product and there was much work to do

though he had less work to do since they just need his signature to approve documents

unlike his secretary who had loads of work he just came back from a meeting with a business partner

when his mind went to Erica and kelvin he dialed Monica number she pick up at the first ring he ask about the two and she told him they are doing fine

"that's good" he said and end the call he tried recalling something

it seems like he was forgetting something but he could not remember what it was he called his secretary and ask him if there anything he forget to tell him about he answered negatively

Aiden was sure there is something he was forgetting he got home and pull his tie off at the living room

he was about pulling off his shirt when he saw the nylon of the stuff he brought yesterday then he remember promising to come back to pay

"oh shit that's was it"

he said suddenly remembering he quickly buttoned back his shirt, pick up his car keys and wallet he zoom off to the store hoping he was not too late.

The students troupe Into the class trying to get there before the professor, Emily also rush in with them she try getting a seat at the front

but it was already filled she look around to see if she could still see a good seat at the front she sighted an empty seat at the fourth seat

She quickly rush to sit there the lecture was sure interesting and at the end of it they were giving an assignment after the professor move out everybody followed.

Emily went to the school cafeteria and met Angel her only friend in school and her house owner's only child although they both claim to be friends they don't have good relationship with each other

Angel always show off the fact that her parents are building owners she sees Emily as a subordinate who is lowly than her rather than a friend

Although Emily doesn't want to befriend her but it would not be good for her to get on her house owner bad side making friends with her enable them to always pay their rents later than the other occupants

she sit beside her and greeted her with a smile but Angel doesn't seem to be in a good mood

"Did Neil do something wrong again?" she asked and Angel nodded positively

Neil is her boyfriend of six years but he always cheat on her with different girls

Anytime it happens they broke up for a short period of time and come back together again

Emily always wondered what her friend saw in him she has advise her dear friend to let go of the cheat

but she refused and claim she was just jealous of her relationship since she doesn't have boyfriend

speaking of the devil Neil came to join them on the table he peck Angel's cheek as he sat down in front of her

"Hi Emily" he greeted throwing flirty smiles at her

"I lost my appetite" Emily said and gave him a disgust look before leaving with her plates, she drop and look back at the two giggling as Neil kiss her all over.

she walk out and enter an empty class she sat down and play games on her phone she would just stay here until it's time for her to head to work

she stop playing with her phone and think about her life unlike the other girls in their mid-twenties whose goal is to chase after their dreams, find love and probably travel around, she has no such thing as her dream or love

Rather she wants the best for her twins siblings, she had promise their father on his dead bed she going take care of them she never imagine earning a living could be this hard.

It took two years break from school to enable her siblings stay in school to finish high school and to raise enough money for her last year in college.

It is really hard but still bearable she hope once she graduates she gets a well-paying job, she check her time again

she has twenty minutes to arrive at work she quickly gathered her things and leave hoping to catch the bus before it leaves the station

Emily arrive at work at exactly 4:30pm she met Lovett in the changing room just changing her dress she joined her and they both walk out together

they got to the counter and saw Madam Lisa with the two other workers they work the afternoon shift they were standing with their heads bow and their hands crossed behind them, they both quickly walk to them and join the other two

"my money is missing and I can't seem to find it anywhere I check the record and some goods were not paid for, does anyone of you have something to say about this?"

Emily raised her hand and explain yesterday event to Madam Lisa she told her the customer promised to come back to pay up

"so you gave a good worth $1460 goods away"

Emily was confused for a minute the goods was not up to a thousand dollars yesterday she calculated them before handling over the goods yesterday

"I think there is a mistake somewhere the money was not anything close to that" she argued but Madam Lisa won't hear any of it.

Emily walk aimlessly the same street for over thirty minutes, she just got fired, just like that it was almost time for them to receive their pay

but she got fired with nothing she sat down in front of a closed building as she watched Lisa's place from afar where will she go in search of another job as perfect as this? it didn't collide with her school timetable

the work is good and the pay is good she stood up again and sat down back she have no idea where to go to find another job.

Emily stood up after minutes of indecision and decide to head home to think of the next step she walk few steps and saw a grey car parked in front of her

she waited to see who it was, she watch as the driver alert from the car and walk toward her

"You!" she said angrily waiting for him to reach her

"do you know what you caused me, you promised to come pay up since yesterday and disappeared as a man with a big car aren't you suppose to keep your promise do you feel good lying to me" she rant on in anger not allowing him say a word

"What are you doing here anyways did you come to laugh at me for being so stupid and trusting someone like you who can't keep their promise"

"I'm sorry" he said

Emily look at him in the eyes and saw he meant the words she calm down a little bit and they both stare at each other

Emily was lost in the handsomeness her mind soften a bit as the sight of the handsome tall guy in front of her

composing herself she take her eyes off him she can't let herself be carried away by his look and forget he was the reason she was fired from work

"Hum" she clear her throat and put on a serious look Aiden tittered finding her behavior funny she was obviously mesmerize by his look and was trying hard to look angry at him

"What's funny?" she said crossing her hands across her chest

"Nothing and am sorry for coming back late I heard at the store that you no longer work there"

"You think sorry will solve the issue here I got sack because of you" she said raising her voice high

"What should I do to repay you then?"

"Get me a job, since I lost my job because of you get me another job a good just like the one I just lost"

"Okay I will get you a job"

"What? Just like that?" she said, surprise at his response

"It may not be the same as the one you just lost though" he said

He gave her another number and told her to make sure she call the number this time, he offer her a ride but she declined.

Emily was still standing at the same place he left her minutes after he left

"could he be playing tricks on her" she wondered starring at the numbers in the paper he gave to her

she dropped it him her bag and walk toward the subway there is no lost in trying she will call the number tomorrow and see what's in store for her

he drives a nice car he must be rich enough to get her a part job she thought on her way home and wish she really gets another job tomorrow.

Aiden got home and was inform by the housekeeper that he had a visitor he stop in his track and turn to face the housekeeper

"Where is this visitor?" he asked

"I told her to stay in the living room she said she's your fiancée and went into your bedroom I couldn't stop her" she explained he nodded and dismiss her

He went straight to his bedroom with mixed feelings he was not sure whether he was happy to see her or not

he walk to his room not sure of how to receive her it been three months since they have seen each other

Aiden didn't know what happened or how it happened but he and Alyssa drift apart from each other

although he tried to fill the gap in their relationship it just won't work and Alyssa doesn't seems to want to.

She left the country three months ago to exploit the world as she claimed and left their relationship unexplained

Although he love her and their parents approved of their relationship Alyssa doesn't and always toy with his feelings

but he still hold on to their relationship hoping she would see his love for her and learn to love him back

but after eight years of one sided love he saw no hope since she made it pretty obvious she was just playing around with him.

He open the door and close it quietly behind him he look around and saw her sitting in front of the mirror dolling herself up

she look back and smile broadly at him she walk up to him and gave him a hug surprising him

"I miss you Aiden" she said the smile not leaving her face

"When did you come back?" he ask his hands in his pockets she release her grasps on him

"You don't sound happy to see me, are you?" he chuckle and walk away from her and sat at the edge of the bed

"What's wrong didn't you miss me as much as I miss you?"

She went to join him on the bed and sat too close leaving no space between them she moved her hands slowly from his chest to his lips

"I miss those" she said seductively she kissed him fully on the lips.

Aiden respond to the kiss covering her mouth fully with his but on a second thought he pushed her away from him breaking their kiss

Alyssa frown her face in disapproval wondering what went wrong she brought her face closer but he averted it

"What's wrong baby?" she sulk

"Nothing, I'm just not in the mood" he said and move away from her

"You mean you are not interested in me?"

"I am not your sex toy who you can just come to anytime you want and have your way with I mean all we ever share was sex that's the only thing you want with me"

"What are you talking about? Don't you love me anymore" she pouted

"You left me for three months without contacting me or telling me where exactly you are and two weeks after you left, there were pictures of you and another guy all over the internet and now you come back and pretend as if nothing happened after cheating on me"

"okay lover boy, let's get this right I did not cheat on you ok, that guy you saw is nothing to me and besides you never mind about all those things before so what's your deal now?"

"Let's put an end to this, it obvious it don't working let's just call the engagement off"

"What! You can't be serious" she said totally perplexed

"Let's break off our engagement, since you want so much freedom am giving it to you"

"But you love me or don't you anymore?"

"I have decided to end my one sided love for you right here and right now"

Things were really busy at the fast food restaurant was busy as usual, Emily was busy with others serving the customers who seems to be getting more and more

"one more serving for table three" Louis who was busy preparing the dishes just nodded his head without looking up

she watch him as he prepare the dishes he seems really good now compare to when he first started, she look at him and smile he's just so helpful, the opposite of Lucy

Unlike the two of them all she does is to spend the money they earn and complain of it not being enough, she collected the dish on the table and continue serving till closing time

The three sat down as usual to eat dinner they asked her why she was home earlier than usual and she told them she was just taking a break for today

they pack up and headed home, Louis walking in the front while Emily and Steve walk side by side behind him

"Your business seems to be doing very well"

"Hmm"

"Why don't you move to a better place than this place, am sure you have enough money"

Steve turn his face to meet hers "why? You don't want me here anymore?"

"Not that, just that I don't want be a burden to you anymore"

"you move here because of me and have been feeling guilty about you don't doing what you want or go after your dream"

"you are not a burden to me, you are my friend Emily you don't need to feel guilty about anything I decided to follow you, is not like you force me to, and besides am living my dream here" he said and gave her an assuring smile

"Your dream is to be a fast food owner?"

"No, just don't worry about me and take care of yourself and if you ever need a friend am always there"

"Thanks Steve for everything" she said and gave him a hug

They walk home holding hands, when they got to their different room they bid each other goodnight.

Aiden fill up his glass emptying the whole bottle, he take a gulp he was drunk but didn't want to stop he has just cut off his engagement of five years

he gulp down again finishing the whole content he stood up and staggered to his room he lie down face up

he didn't expect her to just leave like that when he said to break off their relationship but she just took off as if she doesn't care.

Aiden have no idea letting go of her would be this hard for him he really loved her all those years even though she cheat on him and never took his feelings serious

he remembered when he confessed his feelings to her, it was one of the hardest thing for him to do and he was so happy when she accept to be his girlfriend back then.

he was a fool not to realise he was just her plaything, they never go on a proper date and all they do is have sex anytime she wants

Although he enjoyed those moments he did not only want that from her he wanted more than that

he close his eyes and let out a drop of tear look like he's going to really end his one sided love for Alyssa he thought as he falls into a deep sleep.

Classes were over and Emily hurry out thank goodness she only has morning lectures today, she will able to make it to the interview for her new job

she had called the number before she left home and was glad when she was told to come for an interview today it was like they have been expecting her call

she check her phone for the address it was a less than thirty minutes journey she could board the bus there.

when Emily got to the address given to her instead of a store she had imagined it was a big corporation the biggest in the whole state, MAC corps

she check the address again to be sure she wondered what kind of connection he has with this kind of place it must be a big connection for him to secure a job for her.

Emily proceed inside with doubts in her mind she took the elevator to the sixth floor and got to an office full of people who are busy doing one thing or another

she was confused for a minute, she must be at the wrong place she concluded checking it out she call the number and told him she has arrived there

she ask to wait a second, she waited taking down her environment someone tapped her on her shoulder and she look to see who it was

"the manager is waiting for you in his office" she said and lead her to an office

she got there and meet a man the one who she seems to have been talking to on the phone the lady her excused them and left

"What is the name?" he asked picking up a pen

"Emily Pearce" she replied not really sure what was happening, she was not sure of the kind of job she's here to do

"you must have a good connection with the Boss for him to give you a job without the proper requirements"

The manager said writing something in the file in front of him he finish writing whatever he was writing and gave the file to her, she hold it without moving not knowing what to do

"How do you know the boss?" he asked more directly this time facing her

"I don't know what you are talking about sir but can I ask what I should do with this?" she asked

"Oh that just read through and see if you are satisfied with the terms and sign it"

She open the file and read through, she has been offered a part time job at the company the salary was much more than she expected and it doesn't seems to affect her lectures time table she smile as she read on

After reading she signed on it and hand it over to him, he collected it.

he rings the lady that brought her to him it appears she's his secretary he asked her to show her to her desk and wish her good luck she was taken to her desk it was smaller compare to others but she liked it

She wondered what work she should do since she was not informed and it was not written in the file she read she open her computer and stare at it

she then remembered what the manager said about her knowing the boss she wondered if the guy was one of their bosses here since the manager refer to him as boss

then he must be of high position in the company she wished she has his number or even know his name so she could thank him for the job.

Aiden sat down on the sofa in his office he was having hangover due to the alcohol he consumed last night his secretary brought him medicine to use, he took the drug but he was still feeling a little bit sick

"I don't have anything scheduled right?"

"You do, but I cancelled them, the important ones I reschedule"

"I'm sorry for the troubles" he said relaxing his back

"You should be, you have no idea how much stress it was persuading those old men to reschedule"

"That's why I pay you so much money"

"And that's why I haven't quit"

"You are free to leave" he said demonstrating with his hands

"Did something happened? You don't drink more than you can handle" he asked ignoring his last words

"I broke up with Alyssa yesterday" he said and sat upright putting on a fake smile, he move close to him

"Are you sure you are okay? You seems to like her a lot"

"Like" he chuckle

"Anyway, it all over now there's nothing between us again" he said and went to sit on his seat

"The lady you said to inform you when she comes has already arrived minutes ago and has settle in" Aiden nodded at his words not saying anything

"Is there a reason you gave her special recruitment?"

"I owe her a debt and that my way of paying the debt"

"A debt? What kind of debt can you possibly own her?"

"It nothing to worry about" he replied not wanting to go into details

"I hope you know what kind of attention you created for her" he said and left his office

"she really came"

Aiden wondered how she is doing he thought of going to see her but he discard the thought there's no need he repaid his debt to her and that's all.

First day at work was not what she imagined she was totally ignored throughout the day

she just watch as people work while she did nothing but sitting on her seat all day

even when she walk up to people to ask if they would need her help or tell her what task to do she was rejected, she just hope she wasn't kicked out of the company sooner.

Emily soon get to the fast food restaurants, they were few customers this time she went to meet Steve and Louis in the kitchen

she stayed with them for a while and headed home alone she got home and prepare dinner for the four of them, she ate hers and left the remaining on the table

she retire to her room to sleep she hopes tomorrow at work will be better than today.

Emily sat down to have lunch at the nearest restaurant to the company, today was no different she still didn't do anything

it was even more worse than yesterday she saw people looking at her like she was some stuff of alien amidst them.

she eats slowly taking her time since she has no work to go back to she might as well spend some time here, she ordered a second plate and start to eat it when someone sat down in front of her forcing her to look up from her food

"Hey you" she said obviously happy to see him and he smiled back at her

"Did you also come here to have lunch too?" she ask taking a spoonful

"Not really I saw you eating alone so I came in, it looks like you don't make friends that fast seeing you are eating alone during lunch break"

"Nobody wants to be my friend, it's like am invisible or something" she said gloomy

"Why? Did something happen?"

"If it did will you help me solve it?" she laugh a little

"You seems to hold an important position in the company, are you one of the executives, or one of the shareholders?"

Aiden laugh at her words "I'm the boss and if you really need my help you can tell me" he said and stood up to leave

"You are leaving already?" she asked

"Why, you want me to stay?" he teased

"Yes, I don't want you to leave I like your company"

She said taking him by surprise he sat down and wait for her to finish eating and they both walk out of the restaurant

"You can go ahead I will join you later" he said and watch her go after she left he went back meet Jack where they were parked.

"She's pretty" Jack said immediately he entered the car

"I thought you were heartbroken, but it seems your heart already found another person so fast" he said sarcastically

"It's not what you think and am still heartbroken, so be nice to me"

"It doesn't seems that way to me seeing you were laughing that loud" Aiden sigh and ignore him he's never going to give up anyway

"Just drive and let's leave"

The next day at work was better than the first two days she was given work to do by her seniors and she was not ignored like before

but she still didn't have anyone to eat lunch with she sat down watching the door wondering if he would come there again she really should have asked for his number

yesterday she thought and she eat her food slowly just as she was about to finish eating she saw him come in she stood and smile at him waving at him to come over

"You still don't have a friend to eat with?" he asked as he sat down

"Of course I do, you" she said and also sat down back

"When do we become friends?"

"Aren't we friends? I mean we are even eating together" he smiled at her words

"I guess we are"

"Are you not going to order something?"

"I guess I should" he said and ordered the same thing as hers, they both eat after they were done they both walk to the company chatting as they walk

They walk inside the building and Emily felt people staring at them whispering among themselves, they all greeted Aiden with a bow and stare at her she stood confused for a second

"You must be really popular in the company seeing the way everybody is staring at you" she said and look from side to side

"That's because I'm the boss"

"But if you are getting this kind of attention in the company, I wonder how much attention the big boss will get" she said as they continue walking

"What big boss are you talking about?" he asked confused

"I mean the owner of the whole corporation" He laugh and stare at her

"So she didn't know he's the big boss, how else does she think she got a job at a big company like this" he thought as he followed her they got to the door to her office and turn to leave

"Can I come with you to your office?" she asked closing the door not going in she went to meet him and walk ahead of him leaving him no choice

they entered into the elevator and he pressed the topmost floor, when they got there Emily marveled at the structure it was much better than the one on her floor he followed him to his office it was bigger and wider

"This is my office" he said and went to sit down

"Wow!" she exclaimed she admired the office checking it out

"Isn't this too much?" I wonder what the big boss office will look like it will be huge and probably out of this world" Aiden smile widely at her imagination

"Actually there's no other big boss, I'm the only boss here I own MAC corporation" he reveal and watch her reaction

She stood still for some time digesting his words, suddenly she change her attitude and became formal

"What! I really have no idea you didn't look like..." she swallowed her remaining words

"I'm really sorry for not recognising you" she apologized nervously

Aiden laugh out loud at her change of attitude and the formality in which he refers to him

"You really don't need to be that formal with me we are friends remember"

"What if you decide to sack me?" she asked looking up at him

"I gave you the job, do you think I will take it back from you?"

"That's true though, so you are truly the Boss?" she said dropping formality

"Why, don't I look like one?"

"While you looked so young to own a company as big at this, you must be really brainy"

"Shouldn't you get back to work?" he asked checking his watch

"Oh right" she wave him bye and went down to her office, she sat down at her desk and four of the staff came to meet her

"How do you know the boss" they ask inquiringly

"It doesn't matter, can we be friends? You don't seems to have a friend in the office, let talk later okay?" they left to their seat each flashing her smiles.

She smile back at them and concentrate on her work, before the end of work, more than twenty people has come to meet her asking her to be their friend

Although she has people to talk to at work it was uncomfortable since they all want to be her friend because of her relationship with the boss

she got home exhausted she check her phone, she has been added to the company's group they were talking about her being friends with the boss she put down her phone not wanting to read their messages its seems she was given the silent treatment because of the boss

She sighs she still doesn't have his number she check the group but he wasn't there

"he's the boss after all he can't be in a group where they gossip about thing in the company" she wondered

If she should continue treating him the same way she has been doing she really enjoyed his company and likes it when he laughs

She shake off such thoughts from her mind she really shouldn't be thinking of him he's her boss

"And your friend" her sub conscience remind her, she decided to do some study to take her mind off thoughts of him.

Emily decided to clean the house since she haven't do so due to her busy schedule, she doesn't have to go to work today

since it's a day off for her and she has class three to five so he has the whole morning to clean the house, she finish cleaning and decide to take a nap when her phone rang she check to see who it was it was an unknown number she wondered who it was as she pick up

"Who is this?"

"It's Aiden"

She wondered who is it but the voice seems familiar "don't tell me you don't even know my name?" he asked disappointed

"Big boss? It's you right?"

He laugh at her choice of word "big boss? Is that your nickname for me?"

Come to think of it she really don't know his name "Let's meet" she pick up her coat and hurry out she thought she won't be able to see him today

she ran outside hoping to get a bus to her destination she got to the subway and saw him beside his car waiting she walk to him

"Hi" he turn to her and smiled

"Hop in" he said and entered the car, she also entered and he drive off "have you eaten lunch yet?"

"You come all the way to eat lunch with me?" she asked surprised

"I guess, I really enjoy eating with you" she smiled to herself careful not to let him see they went to a restaurant and had lunch they talked a little and brought her back home before leaving, Emily was all smiling as she walk home

"Did something good happen" she staggered back almost losing her balance she turn to see who made the statement

"Lucy when did you get here? You sacred me"

"Why are you so sacred? Did you commit a crime?" she asked as she walk pass her

Emily followed her and prepare for her class still thinking of her lunch date with Aiden, it felt like a date to her although he might not see it that way but for her it was sure a date
