The summer break was over and next week we will likely be resuming class. Well, as a teenage girl I suppose to be happy about it because I was going to see my friends again. But, a lot of things have happened to me during the summer break and before I left junior high, and does things taught me a very good life lesson about love, trust, friendship and relationships.
Well, before I get into the details, let me introduce myself. My name is Andrea Greene, I am a native American and also a Nigerian because my mom was a Nigerian who migrated to America to get a job. Well, she later found a whole new life here in America when she got married to my dad. My Dad was a business man, entrepreneur, and also a very funny person who loved to share funny jokes about things that happened to him when he was young. But that was one of the only good quality I can remember from him. He also own a small Marketing company. So, my dad actually got to meet my mom on a rainy day when she asked for lift in getting to my dad's company because they were no taxi in the road at that time. Well, little did my mom knew that the company which she was going to apply for a job was actually owned by the man who gave her a lift. They both chatted for a while about things they both love doing until they got the company.
Okay, here is the most funny part about my parents love story. My mom actually thought my dad was the driver to the owner of the company when she saw the name tag of the company she was going to apply for a job on his suit. Yeah! you must be wondering who even put their company's name tag on their suit? I guess my dad is the only people who can actually do something like that. LOL!
So, my mom got the chance to speak to the CEO directly because the company was small at that time, and anybody can speak to the CEO when they want to apply for a job. Well, I guess you know want will happen next and how they both meet each other, get surprised, talk, get to know which other better and eventually get close and get married. Blah blah blah!
Well, their love story was supposed to be like that of Cinderella, but I think nowadays even the happiest couples in the world are still going to be separated. So, my Dad who was like a super hero to me when I was young, broke the heart of me, my sister, and mum when the news broke out that he was cheating on her with an younger company Employee. At first I didn't want to believe it, but it is was until I saw my mum's lawyer who was working on her divorce paperwork at our house, and I eavesdropped at their conversation that's when i actually understand want happened. So, according to my mom, my dad have been cheating on her with a younger Employee for months until this Employee send pictures of them together to her Gmail without considering the fact that want she was going do will likely get her fired.
On hearing their conversation, I was heartbroken and I cried my eyes out all night long still I eventually slept off. I promised myself that I will never trust or fall in love with anybody else in my life.
A month had passed by since my mom and dad got divorced, and the reason why their divorce agreement was settled quickly was because my mom provided evidence that my dad was truly cheating on her. Well, after the divorce disaster was over, my mom who was given full custody to me and my elder sister, decided to move from the state, and relocate to another state at the southern East side of the United States. The name of the state was Alabama and we resided in a city name Fairhope were the number of people in the area was quite many and rain mostly fall once or twice a week.
When we were moving I can see the sadness and anger in the face of my mom, it was like she was trying to hide the fact that my dad betrayal was noting to her. Well, I was only 14 at that time so I could only understand just little that she was going through.
My elder sister, Faith really helped mom a lot when we were moving and when you finally got the city. The city was not like any other places in America, and people there were just pretty living simple life. Rain falls not too frequently, but when it does, it comes out pouring. People in the city wear hoodies because of the cold and their schools were mostly filled with nerds and even less boring kids compare to my old school. Well, even till today I still don't understand why my mom choose to relocate to this city instead of relocating up state where black people often lives.
It was until I got to 16 that I truly understand why my mom moved to this boring city. So, it turns out that my mom inherit a small scale business from her late uncle where they sell expensive beautiful art, sculptures, and other rear equipments. Even though she was a Nigerian, her Nigerian uncle actually lived in this city till he later passed on. My mom was he's only relative who was ready to take over the business because non of his children want to do it. Okay let's fast forward the story.
My sister actually left the state to study in Canada, and I was the only person who gave my mom company because the elder child was gone. I was registered in one of the local schools, which I can say that I wasn't impressed about how things were done in the school. As time passed I made friends with girls of my age who also wanted to change our boring junior high school to something interesting, we became the first cheer leaders in the school, and also the leaders of the fashion/ beauty clubs in the school. We were beyond famous and everybody in the school worshipped us like we were loyalty. Well. I thick I am.... Lol!
Me and my girls, Elsa, Summer, Victoria were the queen of the school and we played we boys hearts and got a lot of teacher fired because they stood against us in class. We were literally rude to people because firstly, we were rich, and this was because my mom business turn out to be a blessing when people started to buy things from her inherited shop like never before, we became more richer than most people in the city. My friend were also daughters to rich people in the city. Like for example, Elsa dad is actually the city chairman while summer and Victoria's parents are wealthy business people. I actually knew this before making friends with them and changing the school. We were the mean girls in our junior high and anybody you gets in our gets deleted especially boys and strict teachers.
I can even remember clearly how we got our weird art teacher, Mr Kanwick fired before our school break. Well, it turns out that our teacher wanted to change us from being the school head of fashion club to someone else who he think is best for the job. On a normal note many people including the principal of the school, and students are all suggesting the same thing because many of them believe that me and my friends are the head of the club just to receive fame, and we don't have the interest of the school or it's fashion club members act heart. Well...
I think they are right because they were some time we took out cloths created for interschool competitions to partys and shows and messing them up with drinks and foods. Yeah... I really wasn't myself then.
So, me and my crazy friend taught about a perfect plan that can that help us get Mr kanwick fired fasted without nobody suspecting that we had anything to do with it. Well, the plan actually goes like this. Me and my friends was going to sneak into Mr Kanwick house before he comes back from school that evening, and because he was a single man, they wouldn't be any problem in getting to his stuff. Else and Summer were staying outside to alert us incase anybody or Mr Kanwick was going to come into the house. Victoria and I entered into his house quietly like ninjas on an assassination mission, we even entered into his house through the back door because he leaved few blocks from us and in our district everybody house have the same building structures, so it was eazy for me and Victoria to open the door.
After entering Mr Kanwick house we could see many art sculptures and painting, many of them were just as strange and creepy as does in my Mom's store. Sometimes I even wonder why people even buy them. So, me and Victoria went straight to Mr Kanwick bedroom were we found his laptop perfectly placed in his bedroom table. So.... I guess you most be wondering how we were going to open the laptop because all laptops have password on them. Well, during our last art class presentation, we were all told to bring our laptop to school Inorder to learn how to create art works using computer software. Because of this I was able to take a glance at Mr Kanwick laptop password when he was opening his laptop during class. Well, he typed his password really fast, but his typing wasn't I fast as my eye. I guess that's one of my plenty talents.
I walk close to Mr Kanwick's laptop, punched in the password and then send in some photoshopped pictures of him, and other strange pictures I paid a guy to deliver to us. So,...the plan was to make Mr Kanwick use his laptop during the PTA meeting tomorrow and when he start his presentation, the slide show will show all the pictures we send into his laptop.
