Just Before the engagement party began, Audrey walked up to Keith with the bad news. "Sophia is missing, am guessing she must have eloped with her boyfriend Frederick". Keith dazed at her, everyone was gathered, his family, friends, business partners and reporters were everywhere all eagered to meet the young mistress of the Winslow family. He strode into the room and meet Lindsey, the event planner, staring at her, he uttered "......".

Chapter 1 First Chapter

Lindsey stared at the mirror in her hand checking her make-up.

"Perfect" her lips curved in a satisfactory smile.

She stood up and walked to her bed while adjusting her Blue pants. She grabbed her black purse and turned to leave but the sound of her buzzing phone stopped her.

"Oops!, That call is a saver, I almost forgot my phone" she said as she reached for it.

She sneered looking at the caller ID, She rolled her eyes answering the call.

"Lindsey, it took you till the second call to pick up my call Tell me whose husband are you fornicating with" Katherine yelled

Lindsey withdrew the phone from her ears, closing her eyes briefly, trying so hard not to snap at the woman 'She was always getting on her nerves.

"Ma, I'm not sleeping with anyone's husband, please can you stop mentioning that whenever you call" Lindsey grabbed her keys from the table which she had forgotten as well.

"Really?, the same way you said no man was sponsoring you, and you were caught in bed with your elder sister's husband huh?"

Lindsey was used to that insult so it didn't break her as much as Katherine thought it would.

She took in a deep breath, walking towards the compound car park.

"I'm going to work Ma, if you called to remind me of how much of a whore I am then please wait till I have nothing important to do and ready to entertain such"

She was now driving out of the compound in her red Audi A4 car.

"Work, by this time?"

"I'm an event planner ma, I got an event planning contract a few weeks ago and it's normal for me to attend the engagement party that I planned, it would help me know the kind of guests that would be attending their wedding so_"

"So you can cheat with them too" Katherine was bent on reminding Lindsey of her past mistakes.

"No Ma!" Lindsey yelled getting exhausted.

"Just don't worry, you won't understand even if I explain since you are not an event planner" Lindsey tried to end the conversation, she didn't want to argue with her stepmother but Katherine wasn't done with her yet.

"I'm just wondering when you will plan your wedding, you seem to be busy planning every other person's wedding except yours"

Lindsey didn't utter a word, not even a sound, Katherine would definitely get tired of doing the whole talking and end the call.

"You should add your younger sister, Nancy, to the list, she found a man," Katherine said.

"Oh wow, that's good news, I will call her later to congratulate her" Lindsey smiled

"You should, I just thought I should remind you that you would be twenty-nine tomorrow, I wonder how you will find a man when you get to thirty, Men don't like old cargo," Katherine said.

Just, as usual, she wants to start bragging about her kids and their success.

'For goodness sake, aside from the fact, she is still single, she is doing pretty well for herself, at least she pays her rent and feeds herself.

"I just hope you won't end up being a desperate woman like your mother and start jumping from one man to the other, you might not be as lucky as she is to find someone that would marry you when you get pregnant"

Lindsey gulped down, Yes, she grew up being reminded daily about her mum's wayward life which unfortunately for her she was the product of.

Her mum had abandoned her when she was just two years to get married to another man, who refuse to take in a stepdaughter, she was kept at the mercy of her step-mum Katherine.

"Hello, are you still there?" Katherine asked, she was expecting Lindsey to retort but she rather remind silent.

"I will call Nancy to discuss the wedding preparations, goodnight" she tried to sound normal but her trembling voice betrayed her.

Katherine smiled before ending the call, she always gets the last laugh.

Lindsey drove into Eco hotels, the biggest and most expensive in the city, she parked carefully on one of the empty slots.

Taking a second look at her face to make sure her make-up was still intact, she alighted from the car and walked into the venue.

She smiled at the decoration which looked splendid, the Winslow family was very rich, powerful, and influential in New York and to Lindsey, it was a big honor for her to plan the wedding of the third son in the family.

"Hi, you must be Ms. Lindsey Roach, the wedding planner" Lindsey turned toward the direction of the feminine voice.

She reciprocated the cute smile the lady was giving her "Yes I am, Good evening" and she took the handshake she was offering.

"I'm Mrs. Audrey Roberts, the groom's best friend, the one you spoke with on the phone a few weeks ago, Remember?" Audrey asked.

"Of course, I remember you were the one that got me this job, thanks so much for recommending me Mrs. Roberts, it means a lot to me" Lindsey thanked her.

"You can call me Audrey, let's be informal with each other please, as for the recommendation, you did a fanatic job at my girlfriend's wedding, I couldn't resist recommending you," Audrey says.

"Thank you, Audrey, you can also call me Lindsey," Lindsey said.

"Sure, Come with me, I will introduce you to the staff and then to the couple," Audrey said leading the way while Lindsey followed.

"Nice outfit, I was able to get a grasp of your job seeing your outfit" Audrey complimented.

Lindsey was putting on a yellow long-sleeve shirt tucked into blue pants, she wore a blue heel to match and then her black purse.

"Thank you, you aren't looking bad yourself," Lindsey said.

"I know right" they got to where the staffs were and Audrey did the necessary introduction.

Before they walked to the platinum lounge of the hotel, where the bride stayed, waiting for the event to start.

"You arrived a little late, I thought you would come along with your staff, an hour ago to supervise the work," Audrey said, they were in the elevator.

"Oh, about that, I had some emergencies to take care of but my PA is equal to the task, she's just as good as I am,' Lindsey said.

"Impressive" the elevator beeped, opening, they got off and walked to the bride's room

Audrey knocked lightly before opening the door, the sweet orange fragrance welcomed them to the cozy and luxurious suite.

"Sophia, the event planner is here, you should meet her" Audrey announced their presence but got no response.

Lindsey sat in the lounge while Audrey walked into the room to find Sophia.

"I think she stepped out, maybe you should wait for her" Audrey said, coming out of the room alone.

"That's not a problem at all" Lindsey smiled at her.

Audrey walked to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of wine and a glass for Lindsey

"Please don't get drunk, the party starts in thirty minutes, as you must have noticed, the guests have started arriving and the paparazzi are all around, you don't want to mess things up" Audrey warned.

"I'm not a heavy drinker, and I certainly don't get drunk while working," Lindsey said proudly.

"I need to step out and welcome other guests," Audrey said and disappeared.

Lindsey stood up walking around the suite smiling, she couldn't wait to meet the bride who was stepping into the best phase of her life, Lindsey couldn't imagine being the wife of the fifth richest man in New York and the mainstay of the Winslow conglomerate.

Those kinds of privileges happen in movies and not in the cruel and realistic world, she was in.

She took out her phone from her bag, taking some pictures for her Instagram, she quickly edited the picture and uploaded it, smiling alone.

Keith raised his head to the sound of the door, he smiled as Audrey walked seductively to him.

" I sent for you a few minutes ago"

"I had to welcome the event planner, she's waiting in Sophia's room," Audrey said leaning over him

"You looked rather too handsome tonight, Are you getting handsome for Sophia?" Audrey asked and he raised a brow at her, giving her a flattering smile.

"You know I can never do that, I only get handsome for one woman and that woman is you" Keith kissed her softly, Audrey smiled

Keith kissed her wrapping his hands around her waist. Audrey's eyes closed as he kissed her harder. She touched his biceps breathing heavily kissing him back.

He put his hands inside her dress touching her. Keith laid her down getting on top of her. Audrey touched his chest. Keith squeezed her breast and pulled her closer taking off her dress then cupped her breast.

Audrey moved her hand down to his pants and touched the curved thing in between his leg. She massaged him feeling him get even harder in her hand.

She unzipped his pants and took it out then stroked him as he closed his eyes briefly on top of her.

He thrust into her hand groaning in her ear as her p*ssy throbbed.

He massaged her breasts twisting her nipples getting them sensitive. Audrey closed her eyes feeling his warm mouth on them. She squeezed her muscles as he sucked her nipple making her throb even more.

Keith pushed her hand off his dic then he went between her legs looking at her smoothness, his heart racing even more. He leaned over sucking her.

Audrey closed her eyes putting her hands on his head as that tongue did everything on her till she was vibrating underneath him moaning.

Keith paused then flipped her. Audrey knelt with her chest on the bed and a.s.s in the air. Mando slowly pushed in and fuvk...

A shiver ran down his back at the unimaginable feeling. He pushed himself further in, Audrey paused about to raise her chest reminding herself of how she had done it before then she #removed.

Audrey closed her eyes on top of him rocking him like she were on a horse. He put his hands on her flexible waist as she went even faster losing control, her moans getting louder

Keith grunted holding her waist and thrust from underneath tilting his hips. His banana-shaped dic hit a sensitive spot. Audrey screamed at the impact.

Their bodies slammed against each other over and over till she let go convulsing as he filled her up.

She finally stopped and lay on top of him shaking.

She slowly got off him a while later then smiled as he smiled letting her remain on top of him.

"That was the best I have had" Keith kissed her forehead.

"Just promise me you won't leave me for Sophia," Audrey said, she placed her head on his chest listening to his heartbeat.

"You should know that Sophia is just a stepping stone, she's temporary and my love for you is permanent" Keith said.

Just then a knock was heard on the door and the two love birds looked towards the door, dazed for a moment.

Chapter 2 Second Chapter

"Who is there?" Keith stared at the door, while Audrey hurriedly wore her clothes.

"The event is about to start, mum asked if I should call you to meet some important guests" Tiana, Keith's sister said.

Audrey let out a sigh of relief, she had thought it was Sophia.

"Okay, I will be down in a jiffy," he said, Tiana nodded her head and walked away.

Keith turned to Audrey giving her a flattering smile "I need to go and check on Sophia" Audrey perked him and stood up.

"Okay, make sure she doesn't make crazy questions for the wedding, I'm not sure how long I can keep up with her," Keith said grabbing his phone.

"You should trust me, on that" Audrey put on her heels and blew a kiss to Keith before leaving the room.

Keith smiled looking at the door Audrey just walked through, he dropped his phone and went into the bathroom to wash himself up.

A few minutes later, he was now dressed in a black suit and his silver cufflinks were shining coldly in the light.

He walked out of the room to find his mother Georgina and his sister Tiana.

"Mr. Winslow, congratulations" Keith turned in the direction of the voice and meet Miguel smiling at him.

"Thank you" He felt awkward taking his handshake but he had to, he stared at him wondering who put his name on the guest list, the last he checked his name wasn't there.

"Oh, I now partner with Winslow-Bio, your mum thought it wise to send an invitation across to me" Miguel seemed to have read his mind.

"I see, Welcome, I hope you enjoy the party" Keith grinned, he didn't have a good relationship with Miguel and obviously wasn't aware of the stupid partnership.

Georgina was naturally greedy, Miguel might have made a mouth-watering offer she couldn't resist and decided to partner with him without even letting him know.

"I'm already enjoying the partner, nice suit by the way," Miguel said still smiling, If Keith was handsome then Miguel was a dim god.

Keith muttered a "Thank you" while walking away, he didn't want to continue with the conversation, to him Miguel Flyheart was bad news and a joy killer.

"Why are you just coming now, Sophia's parents arrived a few minutes ago and you weren't here to welcome them" Georgina nagged seeing Keith.

Keith rolled his eyes, he was tired of this all trash, and Sophia, he didn't even want to marry her in the first place, it was Georgina, who schemed the whole thing and he had to oblige because she threatened to kill herself and never forgive him.

"I was busy with some office work" Keith didn't find any better excuse.

"Today is your engagement, stay away from work, Sophia is going to find you boring if you work on your honeymoon night," Georgina said and Keith smirked 'Honeymoon, that ain't happening'.

"Did you invite the Flyheart Family?" Keith asked.

"Yes, but too bad, only the CEO, Miguel, and the chairwoman Diana attended, I was hoping to meet the chairman, guess he must be busy with some other stuff," Georgina said and sipped her wine.

"And you didn't dim it fit to give me a preamble?"

Georgina raised a brow at Keith and meet his frown face.

She sighed "It's been over a decade now son, don't tell me you are still angry?"

"Are you serious now, mum?" Keith stared at her.

"You do have the right to be I'm not saying otherwise but for goodness, it's getting boring and childish, I'm sure Miguel came because he still feels guilty over what happened, you need to let go, move on and amend your relationship with Miguel, you might need his help in the future," Georgina said

'I rather die than ask Miguel for help'

"I won't be needing his help, I'm successful myself," Keith said taking a glass of wine from the staff tray.

"You are a businessman son, I'm not talking about riches here" Georgina smiled.

The guests keep coming in, and they welcome them receiving the never-ending congratulatory message.

Audrey used the door passcode to open Sophia's room and meet Lindsey sleeping on the couch.

"Hey, Lindsey why are you sleeping?" Audrey said shaking her.

Lindsey muttered opening her eyes, she had a stressful day and was tired, all she needed was a good long sleep.

"Oh, Audrey you_" Lindsey stared at her, she might still be feeling a bit sleepy but could still perceive the strong male cologne in Audrey's body 'She didn't smell like that a few hours ago'.

"Where is the bride?, have you met her?" Audrey asked and Lindsey shook her head negatively.

"I haven't seen her, I got tired of waiting and decided to take a nap," Lindsey said adjusting on the couch and trying to stay awake, she was the event planner so her presence was highly needed.

"What!, what's that supposed to mean?" Audrey walked back into Sophia's room leaving just Lindsey in the lounge again.

She walked out a few minutes later with a worried face, she unlocked her phone and dialed a number but it rang without any response, Audrey tried again, pacing around the room.

"Is anything wrong?" Lindsey couldn't help but ask.

Audrey stared at her wondering whether to tell her or not, but at last, she decided to do so, besides she was the event planner and had every right to know.

"The bride, I can't find her and she's not answering her phone"

Lindsey stood up alerted, she wasn't concerned about the missing bride but herself, the Winslow family had made a deposit of fifty thousand USD, for the engagement and part payment for the wedding arrangements and she has spent almost all the money on a debt.

"So the wedding won't hold?" Lindsey asked subconsciously making Audrey glare at her.

"Do wedding hold without the bride, what manner of question is that?" she snapped busy making the hundredth call, but still got the same reply from the service care center.

"I need to inform Keith about the situation," Audrey said walking out of the room.

Lindsey slumped into the couch, she reached for her phone and quickly checked her account balance.

She closed her eyes saying a brief prayer for the bride.

Audrey walked up to Keith who was now seated with his family. "Can I talk to you privately"

Georgina stared at Audrey, she didn't like her and tried to get her name off the invite list but Keith won't hear of it.

She was Keith's childhood sweetheart, they grew up together and loved each other but the Winslow family didn't find her fit for their son, thus they kicked against the marriage when Keith proposed it.

"As you can see the party is about to start, can't it wait," Georgina said holding Keith from getting up.

"It's very urgent mummy, this party might not hold if Keith doesn't attend to it" Audrey smiled.

Georgina's face was stiff, nothing about Audrey amuse her so there was no need to fake it by smiling.

"I'm not your mother, I have enough children already" Georgina snapped, she never filters her words when talking to Audrey, she despised her more than any other member of the Winslow family.

"Mum!" Keith said "That was uncalled for," he said standing up.

"Whatever, be fast with whatever you have with that bitch and come back here, you need to propose to Sophia," Georgina said as Keith left with Audrey.

Audrey stared at the both of them, she just didn't trust Audrey and will never trust her.

"Follow your brother and know what that bitch is up to" Georgina whispered into Thalia's ear.

Thalia turned towards the direction Audrey and Keith were walking and seeing Audrey dress, she frowned.

"Why would a married woman dress in such a manner, was she trying to seduce her brother".

She stood up immediately and followed keeping a close distance.

Thalia and Tiana were identical twins sisters and it was extremely hard to tell which one is, but not hard for family members who know them and know their fashion preference because it wasn't as identical as they were.

Audrey stopped at the stairs and looked around before turning to Keith "Sophia is missing, I can't find her and her phone, she isn't picking up her calls" Audrey said worriedly.

"What?" Keith stared at her, he just can't imagine what will happen if he fails to propose to a lady tonight, the reporters would surely make caricatures of him and his business associate will see him as a joke who can't even get a woman to marry.

He didn't even want to think about how happy his enemies would be.

"Did you check everywhere, her parents are here, so there is no way she would just disappear like that" Keith said.

"I think she must have eloped with that good-for-nothing Frederick," Audrey said.

Keith stared into thin air thinking of what to do next but he couldn't think of any, his mind suddenly went blank.

Thalia listened with keen interest as their discussed, on hearing the situation at hand, she quickly rushed back to inform Georgina about the present situation.

"So, no one is in her room now?"

"Well, aside from the event planner, I asked her to wait while I inform you," Audrey said and Keith rushed upstairs, straight to Sophia's room.

He yanked the door open and meet Lindsey lost in her thought.

"Is she the event planner?" Keith asked looking at the lady seated on the couch who seemed to not have noticed his presence.

"Yes, Ms. Lindsey Roach, the one I recommended" Audrey replied with a raised brow, she couldn't figure out what was going on in Keith's mind.

"Ms. Roach!" Keith called for the third time with his pitch high while tapping her.

Lindsey jumped up, touching her heart which felt like it was falling off.

She looked at the man in front of her and quickly recognized him, she has seen his face on TV, in magazines, newspapers almost everywhere.

"Hi, Mr. Winslow," Lindsey said, now standing straight and looking up at him, she had removed her heels, a few minutes after Audrey left, out of frustration, which now revealed her real height.

Keith stared at the short lady in front of him and he believed he must be two feet taller than her.

"Can you stand in for Sophia, just for tonight"

Chapter 3 Third Chapter

Audrey stared at Keith unable to believe her ears "Keith what are you doing?" she grinned, but Keith was less interested in whatever she was saying.

He had his eyes fixed on Lindsey eagerly waiting for her reply.

"Me?" Lindsey asked pointing to herself.

"I can't, I'm really sorry, but I can't fit into your bride's shoe" Lindsey declined, letting out a weird laugh.

"Yeah, that's right, she's just a local event planner and your mum won't even approve of it" Audrey chipped in.

"How about 20,000 USD, do you now fit into her shoes?" Keith asked.

Lindsey gulped down, the money could really come in handy, she glanced at Audrey and meet her staring deeply at her.

Audrey's stare made Lindsey cringe, she wouldn't understand the exact reason Audrey was staring deeply at her but she know it wasn't good at all.

"I'm just an event planner and journalist so I can't_" Lindsey was saying when Audrey cut in.

"Don't pretend as if you don't want the offer" Audrey began making Lindsey glance at her.

"Keith is every woman's dream and I believe you are not an exception so grab the offer, while it's still available" Audrey snapped.

Lindsey stared from her to Keith, yeah no doubt, Keith was rich, handsome and a total spec but he wasn't crushing on him like Audrey was making it look.

"$50,000" Keith was getting impatient, the ceremony already began and soon it will get to the part of him introducing and engaging his fiance.

"Fine, but I'm doing it for the money and not because of any sort of crush" Lindsey stared at Audrey.

"Yeah right," Audrey rolled her eyes.

Georgina sat uncomfortably not knowing what to do, "She's not answering," Thalia said looking at her phone.

Georgina turned to stare at Sophia's parents, they appeared not to be aware that their daughter was missing.

"What are we going to do mother?, we can't possibly cancel the event," Thalia said.

"Gosh, I should have gone for a better family, with a good reputation to protect not a good-for-nothing family like the hales" Georgina lamented but it was already too late to change the past.

"Should I_" Thalia stopped staring at Keith who walked into the podium looking lavishly, beside him was a woman wearing a white long dress, her black hair was packed in a Disney princess style.

The guests all stood up clapping while the paparazzi rushed towards the podium to get a clear picture of Keith and his bride.

"Who is that?" Georgina asked, her eyes meeting with Sophia's mum, Mrs. Hales who gave her a 'what's going on here kind of look'.

"I don't know but she's saving the day, I think we should just let everything flow, and then after the event, who would figure out who she is" Thalia suggested feeling relieved.

Georgina nodded her head, but Mrs. Hales wasn't finding the whole thing funny as she walked up to Georgina clutching her bag tightly.

"Can we talk about this later, or maybe in a more private place, the paparazzi are here and our family can't afford a scandal now" Georgina pleaded not allowing Mrs. Hales to talk.

"I don't care about your family Georgina," Mrs. Hales said addressing her by her first name which was disrespectful.

Georgina stared at her and called security to walk her out quietly but Mrs. Hales started creating a fuss, drawing a lot of attention to them.

"Who is that lunatic?"

"I thought this was a closed event, who let her in?"

"I haven't seen her face before, whose wife is she?"

"The Winslow family do have a lot up their sleeves"

Those were the murmur coming from the guests as they watched the security guard drag, Mrs. Hales, out, Mr. Hales, on the other hand, walked out respectively immediately after Keith came out with a different lady who wasn't his daughter.

Audrey watched with keen interest as a smile sprayed through her lips.

"I'm so sorry for that, Can we please continue the event?" Georgina asked smiling.

She was going to meet the Hales family later, but for now, she needs to save her family from shame.

The events continued and Lindsey officially became Keith's fiance, The press was particularly interested in knowing more about her but the Winslow family turned down all interview requests and the party ended earlier than speculated.

Lindsey woke up to her buzzing phone the following morning, she mumbled covering her head with the pillow but that wasn't enough to reduce the noise.

"Hello" She answered the call without looking at the caller ID.

"So much for an event planner huh?" Katherine her step mum sneered.

Lindsey lowered the phone to look at the caller ID and rolled her eyes.

"Good Morning"

'So, why didn't you inform any member of the family that you were getting engaged, I spoke to you yesterday Lindsey and you didn't mention anything to me," Katherine said.

"Wait, how did you_"

"The internet, of course, I received a thousand calls asking if it was true and why I wasn't at the party" Katherine replied even before Lindsey could finish her statement.

"Which internet?" She ended the call immediately.

She wasn't feeling sleepy anymore, she smirked seeing the number of missed calls she had.

She ignored it and logged into her Instagram account.

The first picture she saw was that of her and Keith, same goes for the next pictures she saw. "Oh no"

After the whole party the previous night, Lindsey and Keith had explained everything that happened to Georgina, who in return promised Lindsey that they were going to buy off the paparazzi and make sure no pictures get out.

Lindsey went to her profile and was dazed at the number of followers she got.

"Nine hundred thousand+ followers" she yelled,

She couldn't believe her eyes, it was barely twenty-four hours and her followers already increased from eighty-four to nine hundred thousand+.

The last picture she posted got more than a thousand likes and congratulatory comments plus a few bad comments.

A message notification popped up, Lindsey clicked it open, the message was from Leen, her best friend, 'So much for friendship Lindsey, you only know I'm your friend when things go downhill and now you are getting engaged, you didn't even care to invite me, Good for you but I'm not sending a congratulatory message to you'

"Gosh, I really have a lot of explanation to do" Lindsey breathed out.

"The Winslow family couldn't even keep their promise, I just hope they pay my money" Lindsey said as she replied to Leen's text.

Her phone buzzed again, it was her mum calling.

"Hi, Young Mrs. Winslow" Angela was the first to speak.

"Don't call me that"

"Why darling?"

"Because I'm not Mrs. Winslow, Angela, and why are you suddenly calling me, the last I checked you blocked me and told me not to contact you ever again, I'm correct?"

"You don't need to be harsh about it, Don't I have the right to congratulate my daughter, Oh Lindsey, I knew you had high taste in men, Good catch" Angela smiled.

"Angela, I don't know what you've heard or seen but sorry to be a show spoiler because is going on, I agree to that crap because of the debt you incurred on me so don't even try_"

"You haven't paid that up, well you don't need to worry, I mean you have Keith and he_"

"Shut it Angela, which part of, nothing is going, don't you understand huh, please stop calling me, I have a lot of things to deal with" Lindsey ended the call.

It wasn't even up to a minute after, her phone began to ring again, Lindsey yelled and quickly switched off her phone before tossing it aside.

She laid down covering herself up with the duvet thinking of what next to do but she couldn't think of anything.

Lindsey had longed wanted to get public attention, be a popular actress, stand in front of the camera, get lots of followers, and all that but now she was exhausted.

This wasn't the way she imagined it and she didn't know the kind of explanation to give to her family and friends, for not inviting them to an engagement party that wasn't even hers.

The knock on the door interrupted her, Lindsey got up slid into her flipflop and headed downstairs.

The knock increased making Lindsey anxious, she peeped through the door hole before opening the door.

"I got your text," Leen said walking into the house.

"You are lucky the reporters don't know your house address yet, you would have seen a lot of them here"

"Yeah, thanks to the fact, I don't post with location" Lindsey replied grabbing a bottle of water, she gulped everything down while Leen looked at her.

"How much did he offer?"

"$50,000, you don't expect me to say no to such an offer"

"Judging from your debt issues, I don't, that's a lot of money," Leen said.

"Have any of them called you this morning?"

"I got a couple of missed calls, but I didn't check whom they were from, almost everyone was calling, my step-siblings, my step mum, my enemies, even Angela called me, so I had to switch off my phone"

"Your mum?"

"Yeah, which was very strange, she's not even in New York so how did she know, it's as if she's keeping tabs on me"

Leen burst into laughter "The internet is worldwide Lindsey, besides she's your mum so it's normal for her to keep tabs on you" Leen said.

"Where's the ring thou?, it must be expensive, show me pleaseeee"

"I returned it, I'm not his fiance so why keep it"

"Oh, that's true, but I think you should switch off your phone and_"

They both looked towards the door and then looked at themselves.

"Are you expecting someone?" Leen whispered.

"No, I think is the reporters, they must have followed you," Lindsey said.

"I know you are in there Ms. Roach, your car is right here".

"Keith?"
