Hooked Boss

Sophia Green, who was fast asleep, was woke up by the sound of running water near her ears. She opened her sleepy eyes and was frightened by the scene in front of her eyes.

This was a luxury suite. The morning sunshine projected on the messy bed sheets, and man and woman's clothes and shoes interspersed on the rug. A scent indicating sex behavior permeated the room.

Lowering her head to look at her naked body under the quilt and feeling the discomfort in her loins, Sophia grabbed her hair hardly. The fractured memory of last night came to her in slides.

Sophia's boyfriend who was in love with her for three years accused her of not being gentle, thoughtful and feminine. Then, he went overseas to study for doctorate degree accompanied by a rich girl.

Sophia, who had a tough appearance but a soft heart, got herself totally wasted and impulsively grabbed a guy randomly at the bar to get a room.

At the moment, Sophia sat on the bed, with her legs trembling. "I'm always self respectful. Why would I do this kind of things that I don't dare to think about when I'm conscious? It seems that the saying 'Liquor makes cowards brave' is very true." She thought.

Sophia got dressed in a flurry and picked up her purse, thinking about leaving without notice, when the bathroom door suddenly opened.

Sophia instinctively turned to look at the door and saw a super handsome guy walking out of the bathroom.

The man with bushy hairs had a strong face and deep facial features. He was tall and strong, and his sexy pectorals loomed through the sloppy nightgown.

"This man is so perfect. He is much better than my jerk ex-boyfriend." Sophia thought.

In a flash, Sophia felt content, thinking, "I'd rather lose my virginity to this stranger guy than allow the unfaithful ex-boyfriend to take advantage of me."

Thinking of what happened last night, Sophia felt her face warming up immediately.

Last night, the man was gentle at some times, and was rough as well. Sophia who was twenty-five years old got the taste of being a woman for the first time.

Sure, standing in front of him, Sophia felt shy, but pretended to be calm.

Then, in a sudden, the man walked to the head of the bed, reaching for his Gucci wallet.

Sophia saw a thick stash of money in his wallet and immediately came to her senses.

"Does the man think of me as a prostitute? Is he paying me for last night?" Sophia thought.

"No way, I can't be insulted by a man like that!" She thought.

Sophia immediately took one hundred and fifty yuan out of her purse and threw the money on the wrinkled bed sheets before he could do it.

The man raised his eyebrows, looking at her in confusion.

Sophia who pretended to be calm held her arms before her chest and raised her head to look at the man, saying with a critical tone, "Although your body looks great, you're not as strong as your look. Your bedroom techniques are poor. Therefore, that's all it's worth!"

"What are you talking about?" Apparently, Sophia's words provoked the man. She saw him deeply frowning with a long face.

In order to be more persuasive, Sophia went up to pat his shoulder, saying with a careful tone, "I suggest you give discounts at first to accumulate experiences. Then you can raise your rate when your techniques are good. Now, women are difficult to serve!"

"You must have death wish..." The man frowned and spitted out a few words.

Sophia saw his hands clenched into fists. "I don't want to practice martial arts with him." She thought. Hence, she chose to escape the scene rapidly before the man started to punish her.

When Sophia was walking out of the Hilton Hotel, she could see his darkened face. She touched her racing heart, thinking, "I'm lucky to get away fast."

Sophia ran a kilometer before she stopped. She relaxed until she confirmed that the man with a dark face didn't follow her.

Taking her phone out to check the time, Sophia's eyes almost fell on the screen of her phone. "Today is Monday!" She thought.

"OMG, I'm so lost because of my failed relationship that I forgot the working day." Sophia thought.

Next moment, Sophia reached out to take a taxi and headed for the company.

However, she was late for five minutes despite of her efforts.

"Well, I lose the full-attendance bonus of this month which is five hundred yuan." Sophia thought.

"Damn, I want to curse the dark-face man when I think of him. It costs me six hundred and fifty yuan for one night, which could buy me lunch for a month." Sophia thought.

"But thinking of the handsome guy with lots of muscle, I can take it that I pay for a male prostitute. This kind of perfect prostitutes normally costs a lot more than six hundred and fifty yuan." Sophia could only comfort herself by thinking this way.

The minute she walked into the office, Sophia found the atmosphere of the office today was strange, because everybody hung their heads down, as if they were eggplants which got frostbite.

At the moment, her colleague Lily Hill came over. "Did you read the notice on the company intranet?"

"What notice?" "I was enjoying the service of a perfect prostitute last night. How could I have time to read the notice?" Sophia thought.

"You don't know yet?" Lily was shocked.

Sophia skeptically turned on the computer and checked her e-mail. Then, she was frozen!

The recent rumor was true. The headquarters of Golden Age Group was moving to Riverend, and the branch where Sophia worked would be merged into the headquarters. Most important of all, the branch would lay off half of the employees.

"Does it mean that only half of employees in the Finance Department could stay?" Sophia took a glance at the six or seven employees in the Finance Department.

"No wonder they all seem sad and bitter today. The economy is bad, which makes it impossible to find a job with such a high pay." Sophia thought.

Lily patted Sophia's shoulder and comforted her, "Your professional skills are good. You definitely can stay!"

"Whether you stay or leave, I'll be with you!" Sophia said heroically.

Lily shook her head. "Now it's not the time to be emotional. You have to support your mother and your sister who is in college. As long as we can stay, we should cherish the opportunity."

Hearing this, Sophia lowered her head like a rooster which lost the fight.

When it was near the time to get off work, Flora Field, manager of the Finance Department and nicknamed Destroy Nun walked in front of Sophia's desk and announced undoubtedly. "Sophia, the Human Resources Department is short in staff. Starting from tomorrow, you go to work at the Human Resources Department in the morning and return here in the afternoon."

Hearing this news, Sophia raised her head and tried to say something, yet the Destroy Nun had gone.

Lily ran over to mumble near Sophia's ears, "It must be the trick of Penny Fox, who is looking for a chance to mess with you!"

After a while, the door behind the man was opened.

Noah Wood, the man's assistant walked in and put a resume on the desk. "President Reed, this is what you asked for."

Hearing his words, Matthew Reed hesitated for a moment and turned around to reach for the resume on the desk.

His eyes fixed for several seconds on the one-inch bare-headed photo on the resume, and then quickly glanced at other information. After that, he slightly frowned.

This subtle movement was detected by Noah. "President Reed, I can look for more detailed information if you need it."

Matthew didn't speak for a long time, with his eyes attached to the resume.

Noah understood the president's silent agreement, and turned to find the information in a hurry.

When Noah walked to the door, he suddenly stopped and turned to the president, smiling, "President Reed, do you...know the girl on the resume?"

Matthew's stern eyes shot at Noah.

"I'll get to work!" Noah knew that he said too much, so he disappeared immediately.

When Noah left the room, Matthew threw the resume on the desk and laid on the swivel chair.

"It was the woman on the photo who easily took my virginity. Every time I think about it, I get very upset!" Matthew thought.

" I'm always immune to women, but I seemed to be enchanted that night..."Matthew thought.

"No, no. it has to be the alcohol's influence. It's not my issue." Matthew thought.

"The woman dared to criticize my bedroom technique. I want to murder someone!" Matthew thought.

Matthew took a glance, and the person on the photo seemed to be smiling at him. Therefore, he reached out to turn the resume upside down...

The work at the Human Resources Department was so overwhelming that Sophia was too tired to straighten up her waist after two weeks' work.

Sophia became the office girl. Wiping tables, boiling water, copying files and getting take-outs... Almost every errand was her duty.

The Manager of the Human Resources Department always put on a gloomy face and assigned some trivial and energy-consuming work to her every day.

"I know the manager is sent by Penny to make me miserable. They probably are worrying about finding a crack to make me succumb, so that they can fire me through due process." Sophia thought.

"I'm not so stupid to let Penny get her way." Sophia thought. But she was so depressed and had to silently recite the words: when God was going to make somebody responsible for great work, he would exert the man's heart, toll his flesh and bone and starve him at first...

That day, after work, Sophia was waiting for the bus.

When she was chatting with Lily, Sophia raised her head and saw a stylish woman wearing radical clothes and strange hair walking towards them. She had big eyes, a high nose bridge, a heart-shaped face, big breasts, a slender waist and a plum bottom.

Having seen the woman, Sophia continued to talk with Lily, pretending that she didn't see her.

"The woman is Penny, my mortal enemy!" She thought.

"Yo, Sophia, are you waiting for the bus?" Penny shouted with a fake smile.

"Hum." Sophia couldn't avoid Penny's question and snorted a little as her answer.

Penny lowered her head and grinned, "People can't fight against fate. You see, you grew up being poor and is destined to take the bus as an adult; my fate is different from yours, because your Dad raised me up with good food and clothes and I'm destined to ride the BMW!"

At this time, a BMW happened to stop in front of Penny.

"Bye!" Penny waved her hand at Sophia arrogantly and got into the car.

After that, the BMW sped away.
