Alex Brown, a final year highschool student who loved to hide his status from outsiders most times except for his close friends who knew everything about him. He came all the way from San Francisco, California to the small town in Mexico for hiking and vacation together with his twenty nine other classmates.
He could be seen pacing down the staircases with his whole school squad closely behind him. Face straightened up, eyes narrowed, lips curved into a devilish grin and with two of his fingers tucked into his well tailored suit trouser. Mere looking at his facial expression screamed the guy respect had been trampled upon.
He led the squad to the motel coffee counter and rest one of his arm on the counter before saying authoritatively to the pale looking attendant.
"30 cups of brown coffee at the sixth floor. Right now" He said as he drummed two of his fingers on the well polished white wrapped counter fixing a deadly gaze at the innocent looking coffee girl attendant.
Series of expression could be detected on the coffee girl face as she blinked her eyes twice before parting her lips and began to stutter. She must have been astonished by his limited look.
"W...w...w...we are out of coffee, mister" she stuttered.
"How is that possible?" he asked as he continued drumming his fingers on the counter.
"S..s... someone! She stuttered again
"Speak" he said grinning but it was obvious that he was about to lose his temper.
"Someone booked the rest of the coffee earlier and that's why coffee can't be delivered this morning to any other occupant of the motel. We are sorry for that. We will be of better service next time, mister" she said shakenly in a polite manner but almost out of oxygen. Alex knew the reason for her being distabilised since she wasn't the first girl to get goosebumps by his charming look.
"I don't care if someone already booked it all but one thing I know is that I and my guys are taking coffee this morning"
"We will be of better service tomorrow morning. There is no more coffee, sir. I apologize." she said with a mixed expression on her face.
Maybe she would have to turn in the coffee if this handsome looking guy and his guys insisted on taking coffee that morning even though she had been warned by another pompous, rich girl that booked the coffee earlier on.
Alex Brown ran his hand through his hair and turned to his bestfriend, Bryce William.
"Apology my foot, Bryce did you hear that?" he said and gnashed his teeth gently.
Bryce gave his friend a side nudged and said "Guy, this morning is fucked. You know, maybe we should just go." Bryce cursed and patted his friend shoulder before they both turned to their other classmates who were by now mummuring and not satisfied with the insufficient coffee supply that morning.
Alex always wanted to be his classmates hero in situations like this so instead, he shook his head and brought out his debit card and said to Bryce.
"Let hijack it from whomsoever booked it earlier." he said with another devilish grin. Bryce looked at his friend and chuckled.
"Good idea" Bryce said.
Alex slide his debit card on the counter and bit his lower lip before directing a question at the attendant.
"How much was the coffee booked?
The attendant told him the amount that the arrogant girl had booked it which was double the actual amount.
"She..... " Alex said upon learning the fact that it was even a girl, looked at Bryce, smirked before staring back at the attendant and bit his lower lip. "We'll double the price. I want you to deliver the coffee ASAP."
The attendant eyes widened and she swallowed her saliva when she realized that the amount of the coffee had been quadrupled unexpectedly.
"Or, should we just go?" Bryce butted in as a silly half smile creased his face which showed that he was enjoying the moment.
"Oh no no no wait.......!" The attendance voiced out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At the other angle of the motel, some fashionable group of girls could be seen inside a big hall room all chit-chatting and dressing up for the day. And in their midst was a rich looking, arrogant girl, Kayla Davis, the daughter of a competent billionaire from San Francisco. She also came along with her classmate for the final highschool vacation.
Then suddenly her best friend, Carina Lopez who came from an averagely-okay family banged in and walked straight to Kayla who was busy styling her hair in front of the mirror, still having her white fluffy bathrobe on.
Some minutes ago, Carina had been wandering around the motel and sighted some bunch of boys pestering the coffee attendant. In annoyance, she had rushed back to the girls room to feed them with the latest update.
"Babe, you won't believe this" she called out and all the girls inside the room tilted their heads and paid attention to her.
"What's that?" Kayla asked with a raised eyebrow as she stiffened the straightening comb in her hands.
"Some bunch of yuppies are about to hijack our coffee as I speak." she said nervously which got most of the girls gasping and frowning at the same time.
She barely finished her statement when Kayla dropped the straightening comb on the bed and slid into her bunny slippers. Without wasting a single second, she could be seen dashing out of the room with the other girls closely following behind.
"Kayla! Wait! you still have your bathrobe on!" Carina said the moment Kayla banged out of the room without changing into any outfit.
"It doesn't matter right now. we have to stop them at all cost " Kayla replied.
"It's barely covering your...butt." Carina called out but Kayla was determined to quickly get to the scene before some annoying fellas hijacked their early morning coffee which she had booked for at a burgous price. She paid no attention to Carina warning as she was heading straight to the coffee counter in a tigerlike grace.
Alex and Bryce on the other hand were standing in front of the counter since the attendant had called them back and agreed to deliver them the coffee since they were going to double the price for her.
"Excuse me, what's going on here!?" A feminine voice floated out from a close distance which got Alex, Bryce and the other classmates to tilt their heads in the direction of the egotistic tiny voice.
Alex eyes met on the unfamiliar girl in a white bathrobe that was barely covering her thighs, her blonde hair was loosed and half styled. She was followed by girls numbering up to twenty, they must have been there too for the vacation. Alex was busy observing her when Bryce suddenly nudged him and whispered.
"This is getting interesting, Alex. Eyes on these hot looking girls. Where have they been hiding all this time? "
"All I'm seeing is 'bathrobe', nothing else." Alex shrugged at his friend and maintained a straight face but found himself swallowing something in his throat unintentionally.
The girls closed up the gap between them and the blonde hair one was now standing in front of the counter while the others stood behind her folding there arms and mummuring. She did as if Alex never existed as she just stood beside him and looked straight into the eyes of the attendant before clicking her fingers and pouted are lips annoyingly.
"Hey you, I'm here for the coffee. You can deliver it to us right away, on that table." she said as she pointed to the wide dinning hall that was few metres away.
The coffee girl was by this time confused and was disturbed on who to deliver to since they were in limited supply of coffee that morning.
The coffee attendant let out a distressed breath and her heart beat was by this time hitting hard on her chest.
Alex on the other hand felt annoyed and angry and he was determined to make sure he get what he wanted by all means.
"Remember I'm doubling the price" Alex said in a reminding tone to the coffee attendant but he had barely ended his statement when the girl he had instantly named the 'bathrobe girl' the moment he sighted her coming towards them, broke into his voice.
"And I am trippling it" she said egostically as she slid her debit card on the counter and winked an eye at the girl in front of her. Everyone gasped and all eyes were now on the blonde girl.
Alex was about to push forward with the doubling when his conciousness dragged him back. This was not some kind of bidding or auctioning and the 'bathrobe girl' was proofing stubborn. he thought.
He followed his mind and summoned his friend, Bryce to let them back off. Bryce who was enjoying every moment was jolted back to life as Alex tapped him gently on the shoulder and said.
"Ain't dragging any further"
"W...w...What? Okay. Cool" Bryce stuttered as if distabilised at something but later admitted to Alex's opinion.
"Let's go guys we can't keep arguing with the girls" Bryce said to the other guys and they started filing away disappointedly.
Alex picked his debit card and tucked it back into his breast pocket, took some steps away from the counter before he heard someone saying.
"Carina, it seems that this clown is broke" she said and chuckled along with the other girls annoyingly.
He halted suddenly as if his bone had became stiffened all of a sudden and turned around to see who the hell had called him a clown which was none other than the 'bathrobe girl'.
"Bathrobe......" He called out angrily.
Series of reaction clustered around his head as he wasn't expecting someone to disrespect him so easily like that. Bryce and the other guys were now standing beside Alex and same goes to Kayla too whom her friend, Carina and others were all standing behind as if they were about to fight for.
"How dare you insult my friend!? How can you call her 'bathrobe'?" Carina said, directing the question straight at Alex as she placed one hand on her waist and tapped her left feet on the floor angrily.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Didn't you hear her called me a 'clown'?" Alex said feeling impatiently and his eyes clashed with those of Bryce that were by now burning with anger.
"Are you not a clown? Of course, you are." Carina said which made all the girls in their squad to burst out laughing sarcastically while Alex and his squad all became dumbstrucked and angry as they watched the arrogant girls.
"You have no right to insult my friend too. And I think it will do you good to apologize right away" Bryce butted in and said frankly with a deadly stares on Carina.
"Kayla, who is this?" Carina asked Kayla rudely who in turn stared back at Bryce annoyingly and smirked before saying.
"What does it seems to look like? Kayla returned the question with a devilish smirked.
"It?" Bryce muttered and blinked his eyes several times in disbelief.
"A pickle, I guess." Carina replied and they all bursted out laughing once again even when they all knew that those two guys in front of them were breathtaking.
Some thin lines were already drawn on Bryce forehead and his eyes narrowed. It was obvious that he was trying to calm his temper down. There was no way he was standing here and watch some girls call him some weird names.
"Alex, we've had enough of their babblings. Let get going." Bryce who was no longer finding the girls humiliation which was now getting out of hands funny summoned his friend, Alex and the other guys to just walk away. And that was what they did.
They ended up getting no coffee that morning but ended up getting weird names from the arrogant girls.
The girls continued to yell and curse them as they walked away but they brushed it off.
"Alex, let play some games now" Bryce said as he slumped down on the couch in front of the TV and stretched the hand that was holding a remote to Alex.
"I don't want to" Alex shrugged, lied face down on the bed with his face buried in the pillow and ignored Bryce stretched hand. Bryce who was surprised at his friend's reaction rose up on his feet and gestured towards him.
"What's the matter, Alex? I don't want to play alone." He said while still on his feet. He was trying hard to figure out what the hell had made his friend to reject a video game of all things.
"I'm fine. I need some sleep that's all. Call someone else." Alex said with his face still buried in the pillow. Bryce smirked and bit his lower lip before bouncing on Alex on the bed and threw two friendly punch on his back.
Alex groaned out and tossed left and right before lying face up and said."Common Bryce, you are so annoying."
"Tell me why you've been moody since morning after the coffee fight. Is it about the girls? Bryce asked and Alex shook his head in disagreement.
"So what is it? Tell me now or else, I will beat you to a pulp." Bryce said with a grin and Alex smirked and said "Really? Should we try? if you lose, you own me a sumptuous treat."
"And if you lose, you tell me the truth. The damn truth." Bryce added his own condition and within some seconds, they were both standing on their feet in a ready position of two fighters on a stage.
Just like a flash Alex landed one heavy punch on Bryce left shoulder which weakened his left arm and he barely dudged the second punch which was aiming at his face.
"Alex! Bryce called out suddenly and got Alex distracted. Bryce used this opportunity to land three heavy punches on Alex in one quick move; One on his upper shoulder, the second on his chest and the last was an uppercut which sent Alex falling straight back on the bed and started panting heavily.
Bryce bounced on him on the bed and continued punching him hard on the face non stop, waiting for him to give up.
"Y...y...you won Bryce! Stop punching me!" Alex screamed and Bryce finally stopped punching him.
"You will tell me the truth?" Bryce asked while still breathing heavily.
"Of course I will" Alex promised as he was trying hard to catch his breath back.
"That doll called me a clown. Is she right about that or is something wrong with her eyes?" Alex said truthfully. The reason why he had been moody since morning was because he hadn't in his entire life come across someone as annoying as the girl he had met earlier and despite the fact that he always held himself high, the girl had managed to trample upon his face.
"She must be blind, together with her friends. Take it off your mind, Alex. They are bunch of hoes, aren't they?" Bryce cursed and Alex frowned at him.
"You're crazy." Alex said, gave Bryce a friendly slap on the hand while Bryce cringed and scoffed.
"She was just fumbling earlier with that her silly friend. Calling me...whatever" Bryce said discardedly, rose up from the bed, moved straight to the mirror, unbottoned his shirt slowly, and started admiring his six abs before running his long fingers down his hair slowly. He was trying to brushed the matter off quickly and focused on his breathtaking physic.
"Alex, come over here. Let's feel ourselves. we will go and chill after this" Bryce called. Alex unhesitatingly stood up, walked straight to the mirror, stood next to Bryce, slowly unbottoned his shirt and examined his firm six abs.
"Who says these guys aren't hot enough." Bryce added with a devastating smile and Alex chuckled.
Later that night, Alex could be seen with his friends at the clumsy motel bar all holding a wineglass each and chit-chatting happily.
Some minutes later his phone began to buzz inside his pocket and he slid his hand inside his pant pocket and brought out his phone. His eyes bugged out when he saw that the call was from his mum and he quietly excused himself, strolled off to a less crowded area of the bar to pick the call.
"Alex, how are you? You've to be on your way home early tomorrow morning in order to get ready for the meeting"
"Mum I'm...."
"Don't let me repeat myself Alex." she interrupted her son "The meeting is in few days. You have to be home and take some lectures.
The limousine will pick you up at the airport. Stay safe" his mother said and hung up the call immediately.
Alex face squeezed and he clenched his fist forcefully for about ten seconds. He sighed deeply and posed back to his normal self.
The reason why he was displeased at the sudden call he had received from his mum was because he knew fully well what the meeting was all about and that was the reason why he have been extending his stay at this motel here in Tijuana Mexico which was some hours fly back to San Francisco.
He comported himself, joined his friends and stylishly informed Bryce about the new update.
Bryce was disheartening and not pleased with the way their vacation was about to be brought to an end. Since he knew that he had no other option than to go along with Alex.
Inside their room later that night, Alex and Bryce got their bags packed and early morning the next day, they were calmly seated inside the first class apartment of a plane heading straight to California.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the other side of the first class apartment of the plane were Kayla Davis and Carina Lopez. Kayla was deeply in thought. She was in total disagreement of the engagement stuff which was the main reason why her parents had called her home. They wanted her to get prepared for the meeting and Carina on the other hand had no choice than to follow her best friend back to California.
