Running I kept on running endlessly away from the force that had been chasing me.

I can't figure out what it is but it is scary

All I can see is its blue eyes coming towards me and-

snap I wake up covered in sweat breathing heavily

Seeing its 6:50am I get up and take a shower..

I wear my leggins with a purple tank top and a button up plaid shirt leaving the buttons undone

I comb my blonde hair letting it flow on my back then grabbing my back pack and going down to the kitchen to grab breakfast.

Did I tell you about myself no? Well my name is Scarlet Reyes I live with my Mom in a little town Baja California.

My Dad or sperm donor as i call him left my Mom aftter a one night stand and now its only me and her against this world.

I am only fifteen and in my tenth grade.

"Morning mother" I said hugging my mom from behind while she was busy preparing breakfast for us before she leaves for work.

"Morning my angel how was your night." She Kiss my forehead and continued with preparing breakfast. While I sat on one of the stools surrounding the island.

"My night was good." I lied I didn't want her to worry about me she had enough on her plate to add worrying about my stupid weird dreams

After she was done she placed a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon with a glass of juice.

"Thanks" I muttered

Today is the first time in years well not literally years maybe days since I had such nice breakfast.

I always wake up late and end up grabbing a granula bar eating it on my way to school.

Today I was thirty minutes early just enough time for a good breakfast.

After I was done with breakfast I quickly said good bye to my Mom and was on my way to School.

Oak Tree High. A school which was divided into two groups the popular and the nobodys also called the invisible.

I was one of the invisible though I had two friends

Skylar Nevaro and Jenna Harries.

Entering the school hall way while ignoring the stares I got from the populars I went straight to my locker grabbing my books and going over to first period chemistry.

Mr Blanco was explaining something about isomers and before I could catch what it was I found my self dozing off and soon falling asleep.

I am sure Mr Blanco didn't even notice since I sit at the way back of the class with my two best friends who I share this class with.

I see those familiar blue eyes again.

"Please dont hurt me" I whimper but the figure keeps coming closer and closer until.

"Wake up scar." I felt someone shake me.

I opened my eyes to see sky looking at me with those hazel eyes of hers.

"Are you okay scar." Jenna asked and I nodded my head.

Looking around the class room, I found it was empty. Guess I slept for a long time.

"You don't look okay scar is something bothering you?" sky asked me looking at me curiously.

"No its nothing just didn't sleep last night was busy studying and doing home work" I smiled lying through my teeth the reason I didn't sleeping was because of the friging night mare about blue eyes.

I packed my books heading to my next class math.

It passed by in a blurr and soon it was lunch time.

"Hey girls so I have some story to share." Jenna said grinning while we stood by her locker waiting for her to finish so we can grab some lunch.

Jenna wasn't a locked away girl like I was she could fit in anywere even with the populars.

"So the cutest guy in school proposed to me and I am so excited" she squeak while placing the last item into her locker.

"Who?" Sky and I asked at the same time.

"Zane" she said smiling while our jaws litteraly dropped.

"wow congrats Jenny hope he isn't just after your pants." I teased.

Everyone in school knew Zane he was a bad boy and most popular in school. He used to change girls like clothes.

"Oh please you know he is only using you. You are just another flavour of the week." sky rolled her eyes and Jen glared at her.

"You are just jealous he came after me not you." Jen said crossing her arms.

"Fine fine but don't come crying back to me." Sky wallked over to the cafeteria and ordered our food

We sat at our ussual table Eating and chatting when I felt something strange it was like someone was looking at me.

I turned and stared deep into ocean blue eyes which belong to non other than Zane Micheal Black the biggest manwhore in school and apparently jen's boyfriend.

He looked at me with a shocked expression marrying his features but I quickly looked away couldn't want to fall for his traps I heard that once a girl looked in his eyes they go insane.

I don't want that happening to me.

From the corner of my eye I saw him go over to his gang members which was a table full of populars bad boys if you ask me.

Though I felt his eyes boring my side, I didn't dare look. I was probably imagining him looking at me maybe his eyes were fixed on Jenna..

Soon lunch ended and we headed to the final classes of the day.

This class, I shared it with Zane I was suprised to see his eyes looking in my direction. Lucky enough I ignored and sat on my ussual sit Listening to the lecture and taking notes completely ignoring the fact that Zane was looking at me the entire time.

I smelt the sweetest thing in this entire world freshly baked chocolate chip cookies..

I have never liked them but smelling them right now I am kinder drooling. Were is that smell coming from I asked myself following the scent which led me into the cafeteria.

did madame Linda bake today?

Madame Linda was a werewolf aswel. Most of the students and teachers at school are and they belong to my pack well all werewolves do since I will be the new werewolf king as soon as I find my mate who I am not looking forward to finding by the way.

"Good afternoon madame Linda can I have some of those chocolate chip cookies you have.?" I said smiling at her eagerly waiting for her to hand them to me.

"Sorry alp... I mean Mr Zane we didn't make cookies today. "

"Really." I asked "but I smelt them.." I said sniffing the air some more.

"Sorry sir could it be that its your mates scent?"

"What.?" I said oh no please tell me I heard it wrong.

"Yes sir it could be as I am not smelling them cookies.." she said slightly bowing.

I growled lowly "stop talking nonsense madame Linda and give me my lunch" I said glaring at her.

She quickly placed a stack of fries with a cheese burger and I furiously grabbed the tray going over to sit at my ussual table.

Before I could even sit, The scent this time hit me hard I looked at were my girlfriend or let me say new catch of the week sat.

Then I saw her she was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Wait thats a lie I didn't see her face only saw her beautiful blonde hair that was flowing nicely on her back.

I saw her stiffen then she looked my way.

my my my dang my mate is a beauty and a human.?!

what the...?! why would luna ma give me a human as a mate werewolves can't have a human mate not possible.

Wolves are meant to be ruled by fellow wolves not humans!

"Wow man you are whiped.." Aaron snapped me out of my thoughts I hadn't realised I had been looking at the mysterious girl all this time.

"What? is Jenna really that hot or maybe she is your mate.?" he wiggled his brows and I ignored him sitting down eating my delicious cheese burger.

I never wanted a mate I wanted Jenna to be my mistress surely she is a werewolf from my pack too and that would make her a good Queen with her loving nature and sweet voice she would have made a great Queen but now its not possible.

I have found my frigging mate and I will never be able to hug or kiss Jenna cause guilt will always consume me!

The bell rung signalling the end of lunch and I saw my mate hurriedly run to her class which apparently we were sharing.

I was in twelth grade and she was tenth but I had to attend Tenth grade classes to cover up the topics I missed.

I put my unfinished food in the trash then went to class

I was so busy eyeing my mate I didn't even concentrate on the teaching.

"Talk to her.." my wolf Juan said.

"No I am not talking to a human we have to reject her.." I told him.

"Reject her and I will never talk to you again. Don't you get it you are not a wolf but a human I am the wolf without me you are just like her. Reject her and I swear you will become just like a human. No werewolf Kingdom would accept a king without a wolf right.?."

I could hear the smirk on his face loud and clear which is something impossible to hear.

"Are you threatening me.?!" I asked.

"Take it however you want human!" he sneared retreating to the back of my mind

I sighed he was kinder right I am a human too I will talk to her.

As Soon as class was over I quickly packed my books running out after the teacher left.

That was the most uncomfortable I have ever been in my entire life.

I opened my locker when...

"Hi...."

"AAHHHH...." I screamed Clutching my chest as my heart was beating loudly.

"Sorry angel I didn't mean to scare you...." I turned to see the one and only zane. The guy I have been trying to avoid since lunch.

"Its okay just don't sneak up on me next time.." I said going back to putting my books in the locker.

"So uh.." he began.

"What do you want Zane?" I asked I didn't mean to sound rude but oh well I can't help it I hate him reason? I don't know.

" what is your name princess.?" He asked.

" why do you wanna know badboy. ?" I retorted.

"Would you like to hung out with me sometimes?" he asked winking at me ewww.

"Why Zane ain't you my best friend's boyfriend?" I asked him folding my arms over my chest while raising a brow at him.

"Yeah well I just want to uh like know you.." he said smiling sheepishly.

"Know me.? why?? so that you could dump my best friend and hook up with me sorry but I don't think so bad boy." I said closing my locker. Walking away

'Stupid Zane' I mumbled to myself.

"Hey girl.." Jenna and sky came into my view.

"What's up ladies.." I said smiling.

"So we were wondering if you will come to lucas' party?" Jenna asked

"No I don't think so Jenna I have alot of things to do.." I said.

"Like what?" sky asked " hunging out with that loverboy of yours.." she smirked.

"No I have home work and val is not my boyfriend.." I said angrily.

"Who said he was.?" sky said smirking while Jenna was grinning like a Cheshire cat wiggling her brows at me.

"Ghhhh.." I furiously stomped my feet walking away from them why do they have to be annoying sometimes.

"Wait Scar." Jenna called but I didn't stop till she caught up to me and pulled me to a stop.

"What!!" I said exasperated.

"Sorry we were only joking so will you come to the party?"

"I don't know if mum will allow me plus you know I don't like parties." She sighed.

" I just need a wing woman."

"What about Skylar." I asked

"Sky will be busy aswel you were my only hope." she said giving me the pout and those douy eyes

"What about Zane isn't he...."

"Hey babe.." I heard a all so familiar voice that stopped me from finishing my sentence.

Zane

He came up and kissed Jenna's cheek while she blushed.

" hi.." she said shyly.

I don't know why seeing them like that hurt.

"I will come pick you up at 6 okay." he said to her and she nodded her head.

He completely ignored my existence. Just now he was trying to talk to me and get me to be his friend and now....

I felt something in my chest but I don't know what it is.

Sighing, I turned around then walked away leaving them love birds to it.

I hate you Zane frigging black I hate you!!!

ZANE

My plan was working I could see the anger and jealous in her eyes.

The mate bond was taking effect though she won't be able to feel it until we make body contact.

Now time for part two of my plan.

"I will come pick you up baby.." I said to Jenna.

I was really feeling bad doing this to her

She didn't deserve it but I can't just breakup with her.

Maybe if I tell her I have found a mate she will understand right anyway I won't think about this much I need to make part two of my plan a success.

I quickly got into my car and drove off home

'Hey mother..!" I said hugging my mom.

"Hey Zane how was school.?" She asked.

"Good mom anyway talk later I am going to get dressed for the party." I said running off as she chuckled.

I took a shower and wore a v neck t shirt that hugged my muscles.

Tonight I want to go extreme on making her jealous so she can come running into my arms.

After walking for a few minutes I finally reached home.

Mom wasn't there as ussual so I went to the kitchen grabbed a snack then went up to my room to do home work.

I placed my back pack on the bed changing into more comfortable clothes then sat down on the table that mom got me specifically for doing homework.

We weren't that well off but I had all I needed and my room? it wasn't that big but it was enough for me with the double bed and small wardrobe,

It made me feel right at home.

I was so engrossed in my homework that I didn't hear the front door open nor did I hear the loud footsteps that echoed through the stairs.

"Boo.."

"AHHHH.." I screamed on top of my lungs.

my heart was pounding loudly in my chest 'oh no I was being robbed or worse I was going to get kidnapped then raped and killed or worse Zane Michael's face will haunt me forever...

What? You can't blame me I hate his face though he is so damn cute and hot... focus scar you are about to get kidnapped.

"Please don't kidnapp me I will give you all the money I have in my piggy bank.." I said covering my face with the book.

An annoying laughter had me thinking.

Wait a minute I know that laugh.!

I abruptly got up from the chair and saw a laughing Valencia sprawled over the wooden Floor.

"VALENCIA FRIGGING VALDEZ WHAT THE HELL.." I yelled

" ARE YOU TRYING TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK OR SOMETHING?" I sat down on the chair my heart was beating loudly in my chest.

Why is everyone scaring me today.?

"I hate you Val I swear I am going to kill you." I said closing my eyes waiting for my heart to go back to beating normally.

Today is such a horrible day first Zane now Val? are all cute guys in this world trying to kill me? wait.. Zane is not cute!..

"Sorry babe.." he said with a stupid smile on his face I swear I will kill him.

"Sorry girlfriend " he said placing his hands around my neck hugging me from behind.

Val has been my best friend since kindergarten. Though I have other friends him and I are inseparable.

I was crushing on him once upon a time and we kinder started dating but whenever we kissed, I felt like I was kissing my brother so we stop it would be so weird kissing your own brother I can't even imagine yuck

"I forgive you my fluffy bunny" I said grinning that's what you get for scaring the hell out of me.

he unwrapped himself from me while I got up to face him.

"You know I hate that name. but I am not okay." He pouted which made him look cute.

"Oh come here you bunny." I said squishy his cheeks which he kinder loved but couldn't admit since it would crash his man ego. Typical men.

Earlier things forgotten

I giggled alittle seeing his flushed cheeks. He pryed my hands away from his cheeks and sat on my bed sulking adorably.

"So tell me what's wrong?" I asked sitting besides him.

"You have been ignoring me all week." He said looking away from me.

"I am sorry bunny I was busy with school you know how we are writing tests." I said giving him a hug which he did not respond.

Dang it I should be the one sulking and him trying to make me feel better not the other way round

I mean he is the one who almost gave me a heart attack just now

it was my bad anyway for not locking the front door I am just glad it wasn't Zane.... yikes why am I thinking about him garrrr

Wait! were was I ? oh right begging for forgiveness.

"please don't be angry my fluffy bunny. I will give you whatever you want." I said and he smirked oh no what did I just do.

"Really." He said turning to face me smirking

I am screwed.

"Off course?" I intended it to come out like a sentence instead it came out like a question dang it.

"Great so I was wondering if you can accompany me to lucas' party tonight" I groaned.

Can this day get any worse oh no now it will definitely get worse since I have said it things always get worse.

"Please baby you promised to do whatever I ask for.." He gave the puppy dog eyes which had me falling damn you!!

"Fine.." I said exasperated to which he squeaked like a girl.

I am the only one who got to see this side of him. Outside my room he is this tough guy Badboy like but to me he is this soft nice and funny guy who keeps me happy when sad and helps me up when I fall. He is like a big brother I never had though his only a month older than me.

He got up from my bed and made a be line for my wardrobe removing clothes scattering them on the floor.

"What are you doing?" I asked him raising my brow

"Uh finding you what to wear thats what." He said and continued after what felt like ages he turned to look at me.

"We need to buy you a dress come on." he said dragging me outside.

" Hey I have a lot of clothes to wear.. " he gave me the look.

" fine I don't but you know how I don't like dresses.." I pouted there is no way of am wearing a dress!

"Yeah I know but we need to change that a bit. If we are going to a party then you ain't wearing these." He said picking up my favourite shorts.

He dragged me outside to his mustang which was packed in his garage.

Did I mention we are neighbours? No? Okay right we are neighbours.

He sat on the drivers sit while I sat on the passage sit and he drove off to the mall.

People around whenever they saw us together even at school thought we were dating but not the case and wasn't interested in correcting them.

We visited numerous stores and I was frigging tired.

"This dress will look good on you go on try it on." he said pushing me into the changing stall!

The dress was black with a full neckline, short sleeves and cut over the shoulders and torso

I put it on and it was too tight showing off were my underwear was passing and revealing alot of my curves it was mid thigh.

No not mid thigh but too short if I bend alittle people would see my underwear.

I slowly walked out the stall trying to pull it down a little and making sure my underwear wasn't showing!

"You look like a slut eww take it off my eyes.." Val said and I quickly ran to the stall to take it off!

"Now you agree.." I yelled while he just handed me another one.

This one was same design but a bit longer passed my kneee but still too tight. I went out again

"Hmm you look like a nun its to long go back and changed..."

" grrrr.." i groaned "this is the tenth dress Val.." I said

"No its not its the eighth.."

"same thing!!.." I said gritting my teeth while he chuckled.

After what felt like hours of trying out different outfits we went back home with two bags containing four dress all mid thigh I tried protesting since I don't like showing off my legs (keyword tried) but Val wasn't having it.

Curse me for creating a monster.

He carried both bags up to my room.

"Go shower quickly we only have two hours before the party starts.." he said.

I groan amd got into the shower scrubbing off the sweat from moving around in school and also at the mall

I made sure I shaved my legs since the dress was mid thigh you know not wanting to look like a monkey.

After I was done he went to take a shower as well and came out while I was doing my hair I wasn't going to wear make up I prefer my natural self.

He got dressed And helped me choose a dress to wear.

I wore a midnight blue dress that had a full neck with long sleeves.

It was cut in shape of a diamond right over my chest just above the boobs and was backless!

I let my blonde hair fall free on my back.

"Nope not having it.." Val said coming to me siting me down on the vanity.

"What...why...what did I do..?" I asked.

"Shut up.." he said then started doing something with my hair.

After thirty minutes he was done. I opened my eyes and gasped!

My hair was perfectly placed in a neat french braid.

"Val oh my gosh since when did you know how to do hair.?" I asked looking at my hair in awe.

"From my mom.." he shrugged

Oh well it is a day filled with surprises.

We were now ready to go. Val looked really handsome with the black jeans he was wearing and grey shirt. He had pushed back his jet black hair making him look super handsome.

I can't deny my best friend was hella hot he had tons of muscle due to working out alot but his muscles weren't as big as Zane's wait since when did I check out zane's muscles.

"Just in time come on let's go" he grabbed my hand while I grabbed my purse going out. Phew thank God he saved me from my thoughts!

Mom wasn't home when we left

Val had already texted her that I was going to a party which she gladly agreed to.

she always wanted me to go out and associate with people but I didn't want to and now that Val had literally forced me into it there was no way of escape. I guess I am doing this.

We got into his car and drove off to god knows who's party man I wish this night would end soon.

Gurrr we haven't even reached the party and I am already wishing it to end.

I heard chuckling besides me and turned to look at Val

" you sure are weird talking to yourself.."
