Chapter 1 Nora

Two things in this world are considered more powerful than anything else, the power of love and the power itself.

One cannot exist without the other. A person driven by love may do anything to keep their loved one safe. With power, even the most loved ones cannot resist the attraction of power. When a person is empowered with a little bit of power, anything can become possible.

For those responsible for creating the world and turning it into a supernatural hotspot, we know it's the power of those two things to make sure they get what they want.

...

For Nora, one thing she's believed in all her life is that she knows she can always count on her father. She never knew or met her mother. The only information about her is the information she read in her father's diary.

She was once a garden fairy. It was thought to be a life of whimsy, a fantasy of freedom and comfort one could only find within the walls of a fairytale kingdom. But when darkness first strikes. A beast that dwells in the mountains of Kampa. The first to fall prey was the dairy kingdom.

Her mother was a mighty warrior who was sent to seek help on behalf of her people. I think when she meets the Sorority of Witches in magic, she only holds out hope for the fact that they are willing to help her.

At first, they refused. The darkness hasn't been a problem for them yet, so when it comes to them, they just have to deal with it. She was about to leave when she stumbled upon Nora's father. He's a powerful witch known for his skills, and for some reason, he wants to help her. They say he was careless when he agreed, but Nora likes to think that the moment he sees her, he's emotionally unstable and whatever he asks her to do, she does it immediately.

But that's when it seemed their love story was forever destined to be a short one. Like a delicate rose, it is beautiful to the touch, but its thorns will only leave you in pain.

...

Nora's breathing was deep and unsteady as she moved deeper into the wall. She must persevere. As she struggled to stand on the windowsill, she could feel her limbs getting weaker and weaker.

She cursed herself for not being able to bring more supplies, but then she remembered the strange look she got from the shopkeeper when she gave her the list.

She refuses to be further belittled by such a man. She looked towards the edge of the cliff, and the strong sunlight above her head made her cringe, and she couldn't help squinting her eyes, feeling the sun shining on her skin. She snorted, closed her eyes, lifted the rest of her upper body, and climbed onto the last platform.

Nora looked around, letting out a breath between her lips, and for a split second, her heart couldn't help beating wildly in her chest. She wanted to assume the best, but when she didn't find what she was looking for at first, she had the urge to scream out loud.

The sun began to dip below the horizon, and she felt an inert need to let it stop. She wants it to stop because she fantasizes it will make her feel better and maybe give her more time to herself.

But when she watched the moon rise, she knew it was over. Only then did she let the first tear roll down her cheek?

No, it should be here. she said in a tone of despair. Hess looked at the moon. The goddess has made a solemn promise to serve her people and people around the world, but she never seems to be there for her when she needs her.

Suddenly, the cloud of sadness she felt was easily replaced by anger. She is done praying. She needs to save her father and to do that, she will stop at nothing.

Nora held a grain of sand in her hand and felt another wave of energy rushing through her body. She was told to tame the wild powers that had fueled her all her life, but she grew desperate. She raised her hands high, only to feel her eyes slipping down, and a turbulent wind rose from her whole body. She took a deep breath and let go, and her hands dropped easily.

She watched a huge wind shadow rising around her, and she was blown backward and stumbled to her feet. When she was finally able to open her eyes, she managed to get back on her feet. Looking at the scene in front of her, she widened her eyes and gasped.

Nora carefully observes the blue markings on the ground that depict the dance of wolves with the sun. It's a story that has been passed down through the generations, and that's when she realized what she had to do. She couldn't miss the blue gauge she found in a crack in the ground.

She knows it's clear now that she's going to have to follow the love that's in front of her. It was unusual for a witch to have this kind of knowledge of the ancient world. But she has exhausted all available resources.

She's hopeless, which just means she has no choice but to do the last thing she ever considered, which is to explore the world.

She already learned about the wolf and the sun when she decided to explore the temple of the Mayan wolf pack. This is an abandoned civilization, but they seem to know the world around them like the back of their hands.

Nora doesn't know what she thought she'd find there, but she finds solace in the ruins, and now she realizes that's why so many generations haven't touched this sight.

At that moment, she closed her eyes, trying to release all the emotions she was trying to bury. Grief is fear as well as sadness. Because it's not just dancing. That's taking out her heart and soul and wishing Sun a happy life.

When she was done, feeling the emotion sweep over her body, she slowly opened her eyes again, and couldn't help laughing as her eyes turned blue, reflecting the light of the orb in front of her.

"Finally," she whispered.

Chapter 2 Crescent orb

The screams were loudest in the south. They were like loud bells ringing in his ears, reminding him how far he had come. He tossed and turned among the sheets, hoping to get rid of them.

He had hoped it was a feeling he would never have to experience. He remembered that day vividly, and now he was standing in the field, familiar with his father's screams, and ran toward him instinctively. He pulled him into his arms without warning as he watched him roll his eyes.

"Father," he called desperately.

He watched him cough lightly, then leaned forward, and stared at him with a gloomy look.

"It's your fault. You did this," he whispered to him, reaching out instinctively to wrap his arms around him. "No Father. It was a mistake, I swear. I did not do it on purpose. " he said grumpily.

But the only words that came out of his mouth were a harsh frown. He could hear faint voices in the distance, but they sounded like muffled noises. He watched helplessly as his father turned into a wolf, raised his sharp claws without warning, and pierced his chest.

"You're not worthy of love." He spat, and then everything went blank.

...

Xavier jerked himself up from the bed, his heart beating fast in his chest. It took him a moment to clear his vision so he could see better.

He felt a warm hand on his chest, and when she touched the scar on his chest, he flinched slightly. "No." He hissed, watching Scarlet seem worried at first before pulling away.

"Another dream?" she whispered to him, but she knew exactly what that meant. Sighing in frustration, he got up from the bed and ran his hands through his hair.

"The dreams are back. Stronger than ever. You should let them go." He hissed at her. He sighed and watched her get up from the bed, the small bump on her belly became visible in the moonlight.

He didn't move when she came and put her arms around his back. She buried her head in his back and he felt his muscles relax slowly.

"I'm sorry," he murmured. She hummed to him. "I know you are. We just have to try something else," she said firmly.

He turned to look at her, and she noticed the vulnerability in his eyes. "I don't know how much longer I can do it. Maybe it's not right," he said to her in a slightly hesitant tone.

She pulled him onto the bed and forced him to the floor. when she sat on his lap. "You know I'll only do what's best for you," she said, pressing her palm to his temple.

"Close your eyes now and let me help you forget." She said to him, and he snorted as she asked.

He felt a wave of energy flow through his body. "What would I do without you?" He felt his mood lighten and said to her softly.

She smirked knowingly at him before she muttered to himself when he was under her influence. "You're going to lose your partner and your best friend. And I'm not going to get what I want.

One of Xavier's weaknesses is that he is always quick to trust those around him. He doesn't realize it yet, but in the end, what he thinks will make him strong again is exactly what cripples him.

...

She's heart beat fast in her chest as she walked through the thick foliage. She hugged her schoolbag tightly to her chest, for fear that it would disappear as soon as she let go.

Nora had searched so hard and risked so much to find the new moon that it slipped through her fingers. When Nora finally made it through the woods, she was relieved.

Nora saw the thatched hut with cracked walls from a distance, and she felt relieved when she saw the blue light of the lantern outside the door for the first time that day.

Hold on, dad.

she thought, she cast a spell to extinguish the lights. This is our silent way of communicating. Blue means he's home and safe, green means the house is safe and red...well, you don't want to know what red means.

When Nora heard the creak, she slowly pushed the door open. Nora scanned the room and saw the pale figure of her father lying on the mattress in the corner. She rushed over and crouched beside him.

"Nara," he said in a trembling voice, reaching out and taking mine. "I'm glad you made it before it was too late," he said gruffly. When Nora opened the backpack to retrieve the orb, she pulled the backpack off her body. "Father, save your energy, I have the Crescent Orb, I will heal you, and everything will be fine." She said to him desperately.

But he shook his head at Nora in return. "That daughter is no longer needed. I'm too late. I want you to use it to save yourself and give it to Zhuoran in exchange for your safety." He whispered.

"What? What are you talking about? You need this. Who's here?" Nora asked desperately, trying to hand him the orb. When my father took her hand, he shook his head and pushed it back to me.

"Open the door. By Zhuoran's order!!" The men shouted from behind the door. Dad's eyes glowed blue, and Nora watched as a tear rolled down his cheek. "You are my greatest treasure. The only regret is that I can no longer protect you. Many enemies will come to you in the future. You must be strong and protect your talent." He spoke, and Nora found herself struggling to talk as she heard the loud slamming of the front door.

Nora turned to it, but Dad spoke again before she could say anything. "Don't be afraid of them." Then he lifted his trembling hand to Nora's shoulder, and I watched it glow. She felt my whole body start to tremble as it glowed bright blue.

I could hear the man knocking on the door, and Nora watched helplessly as Dad's body slumped onto the mattress as the fence fell from around the cabin.

"You will always be my moon and stars." These were the last words my father said before he left. Everything happened quickly after that, as those men broke through the door and turned Nora's life upside down.

Chapter 3 Upside down

Nora woke up drenched in sweat. She couldn't help letting out a sharp moan from between her lips and reached out to caress her face. She squinted her eyes and looked around the room, trying to adjust her gaze.

She cursed under her breath when she quickly realized she had only slept a few hours. She sighed and sat down slowly on the uneven mattress. She flicked her fingers and watched the red light in the cabin light up. She glared at it in exasperation as it almost constantly showed her distressed emotions, and it seemed like it was her fault.

She got out of bed because she realized now was the perfect time for her to get up and start working on some of her spells. This helped her avoid the witches of other covens, and she was able to train without ridicule.

The name goes on. Her name seems to be just the tip of the iceberg. Yet she still refuses to believe that her father could be who they say he is. The witch they were whispering to in the hallway, the witch who went mad and tried to take over the coven.

There was a time when Nora wanted to believe the rumors. It would make her angry with him, even a little bit unhappy, but she knew her father would never do that to her.

He would never do that to her.

Yet now, even if he were dead, they would not let her rest in peace. Even so, they stared and glared at her as she walked down the corridor. To them, she might as well be a monster.

Now her father is gone. It was almost a year since he took his last breath and left her with his parting words. She shouldn't be the one to give up easily. Nora spent months searching for the crystal ball, but like a coward, she was forced to surrender it in exchange for her protection.

Zoran was a man of his word, and he agreed to spare her life, but she was brought to the brink of death by his minions and the rest of the Coven many times. Her hut had moved to the edge of Kant, and she knew all too well that any sane person would accept their fate, but she knew something was amiss.

Zoran claims that her father tried to poison him to take over the coven and bring it under his rule. Nora smiled faintly when he announced the news. She didn't understand why anyone would believe that. No doubt he was a powerful man, but he never offended anyone. Zoran, however, seems to have everyone around him believing otherwise.

Deep down she knew it was a complete lie, but for a moment even she was shaken. But if he's able to go so far as to frame her father for a crime he didn't commit and tarnish his name even after his death, it makes her wonder what else he's hiding.

Nora knew she had to play it safe, and she was constantly under the watchful eye of Zoran and his men. That's why she decided to stay on her side of the land.

She needs to get the crystal back, and since she handed it over, there's something uneasy in the back of her stomach, and she's not entirely sure what that means, but it's like it's calling to her.

At first, she thought she could push it away and shrugged, but then she started having nightmares. They tend to take different forms, but the result is always the same. It ends in chaos and destruction, and at the heart of it, all is the sphere.

Once again it was the thong that woke Nora up, but for some reason today felt different. She needs more than ever to find that orb and get it back into her hands. She found herself walking out of her camp, towards the largest tent in the center of the coven.

She swallowed as she tried to find the right amount of courage to do what she had to do. She didn't know where it was, but a part of her told her it would be in the cellar. The Vault is the code name for the largest bookstore in the Coven.

It's not closely guarded, as Zoran likes to use it to allow him to eventually enhance his ego. He didn't think anyone would be foolish enough to mess with him.

And yet, she's risking it all when she starts passing his tent. When she was almost walking through the tent, she heard someone calling her name inside, and she froze.

"What shall we do with her?" she heard the second one ask. "What do you mean? She's just a nasty kid. We take care of her father. That's the most important thing." Zhuo Ran said firmly, the way he mentioned her father making her chest rumble.

"What if you let her know your plan, and you killed him?" Nora only felt cold all over her body, as if a basin of cold water had been poured on her. She was skeptical at first, but she tried to convince herself it wasn't true.

She just wants to live in happiness for a while longer. Nora didn't know what she was thinking at that moment, but the first thought that popped into her mind was why. Why would he be so cruel that he would go so far to dispose of him?

"She needn't worry. He might be strong, but she's just as stupid as her father." He spat, and she felt her body trembling, a surge of anger welling up inside her. They talked about him so grimly and in such low voices because they didn't despise him at all. The thought infuriated him, and she knew now more than ever that all she needed was revenge.

She was there again for a while when she heard them talking, and she heard them mention the upcoming , an event to which the whole coven was ordered to attend. It ensures a continuous cycle of power within the community and it is considered one of the greatest events of the people. She has to participate this year. The only reason the previous reading gave her an excuse was because of what happened.

Just then, a plan had begun to form in her mind. Now more than ever, she needs to find the location of the sphere. Never again will she allow this man to take over her life and get away with it, she knows she has to do what's right with him and now is the time for her to do so.

Nora was pulled out of her thoughts as she felt her heart tug, and she spotted a blue glowing light in the distance. Only then did she feel a sense of victory welling up in her heart.

It's time for her to show them who the real monster is.
