Author: : Rosie.Meachem
Genre: Fantasy
His Luna's Rejection, Her Alpha's Mistake: "So, she's pregnant with your heir is she?" Della raised her eyebrows as it all started to make sense. She had tried for months to fall pregnant but it hadn't happened and now she knew why. "Yes, he's going to be a father and I a mother. I guess you will never know how good it feels to have a tiny pup growing in your belly." Anna gloated smugly at Della. Xavier's heart sank as he heard Anna's words, a jolt of realization running through him. A wave of guilt washed over him as he thought about the consequences of his actions, not just on Luna but potentially on the child she was carrying. He looked back at Luna, who stood there, her eyes filled with a mix of hurt and disbelief. The reality of what he had done hit him like a ton of bricks, and for the first time, he truly saw the depth of pain he had caused. "Then I will go, but let me tell you something, Anna. The moon goddess will punish you and you will be bought to your knees and begging for forgiveness and redemption. You will never be as loved and adored as i by the silver moon pack members. You are merely nothing but a weakened omega using the alpha to gain power. You will never be a true luna and your baby will be a curse, not a blessing." With these words, Luna turned away, leaving Xavier and Anna standing there in shock. Xavier, the alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, finds himself torn between duty and love. His heart belongs to Luna, a kind-hearted and loyal pack member, but his desires lead him astray towards Anna, a manipulative omega seeking power. Luna, heartbroken by Xavier's betrayal, curses him and walks away from the pack. As she settles in the city, Luna discovers that she is pregnant with Xavier's children. Fueled by anger and a desire for revenge against Anna and Xavier, Luna vows to raise her babies on her own terms and make them strong enough to challenge the pack that betrayed her. Meanwhile, Xavier uncovers Anna's lies about her pregnancy and realizes the depth of her deceit. Driven by guilt and a longing to make amends with Luna, Xavier sets out to find her and seek her forgiveness. However, as he delves deeper into the city, Xavier realizes the extent of the damage caused by his choices and wonders if it's too late to repair the broken bond with Luna. In the city, Luna meets a mysterious man who offers her a chance at a new life outside the pack. Drawn to his kindness and understanding, Luna begins to soften her heart and open herself up to the possibility of love once again. But when Xavier finally locates Luna, will their reunion bring closure and healing, or will the wounds of the past be too deep to mend?

Chapter 1 One

Xavier stood in front of Luna with a heavy heart, the words he had rehearsed repeatedly now stuck in his throat. Luna looked up at him with hopeful eyes, searching for any sign that he still cared for her. But all Xavier could see was his mistress, Anna, waiting for him in the shadows. "Luna, I... I can't be with you," Xavier finally managed to say, his voice cracking with emotion. Luna's expression fell, her hand reaching out towards him as if to catch him before he fell. "Why?" she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper.

Xavier hesitated, torn between his duty as a werewolf alpha and his feelings for Anna. He knew he had to choose one, and he knew that Luna deserved better than to be in a relationship with someone who couldn't give her his whole heart. "I... I have found someone else," Xavier admitted, his voice barely audible. Luna's eyes widened in shock, the realisation of what Xavier was saying hitting her like a ton of bricks. "Who?" she asked, her voice trembling. Xavier struggled to meet her gaze, but eventually, he forced himself to look into her eyes. "Anna," he said, leaving a bitter taste in his mouth. Luna's face crumbled, tears welling up in her eyes. "Anna," she repeated, disbelief evident in her voice. "Your mistress?" Xavier nodded, feeling the weight of his decision settle heavily on his shoulders. "I'm sorry, Luna. I can't be with you when my heart belongs to someone else." Luna stepped back, her hand flying to her mouth as if to stifle a sob. "I can't believe this," she whispered, her voice barely audible. Xavier reached out to touch her, to offer comfort, but Luna stepped further away from him as if his touch would burn her. "Please, Luna. I never meant for this to happen. I never meant to hurt you," Xavier pleaded, his voice thick with emotion. Luna shook her head, her tears falling freely now. "I thought you loved me," she said, her voice barely a whisper. Xavier closed his eyes, the guilt of his actions weighing heavily on him. "I did love you, Luna. I still do. But I can't deny the feelings I have for Anna. I'm sorry," he said, his voice breaking with emotion. Luna turned away from him, unable to bear the sight of the man she had once loved choosing someone else over her. "I can't do this," she said, her voice thick with tears. Xavier watched as Luna walked away, her shoulders hunched in defeat. He knew he had made a terrible mistake, but he couldn't bring himself to regret choosing Anna over Luna. He knew that Anna was the one he truly loved, who held his heart in her hands. As Xavier turned to walk towards the shadows where Anna stood waiting for him, a sense of peace settled over him. He knew he had made the right decision, no matter the cost, for Anna was not mate but had fallen pregnant and completed him in ways that Luna never could. "Then I, Della, reject you, Xavier, as my mate and alpha of the silver moon pack. May you live peacefully in hell with your bitch." Della spat in disgust at the man who had been her everything since she met him at thirteen years old. As Luna's words rang in his ears, Xavier felt a pang of regret and guilt wash over him. He knew he had hurt Luna deeply, and he couldn't shake the feeling that he had made a grave mistake. But as he turned towards Anna, he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief and happiness, knowing that he was finally with the one he truly loved. Anna reached out to him, a smile on her lips as she pulled him into an embrace. "I'm so glad you chose me, Xavier," she whispered, her voice filled with genuine happiness. Xavier held her close, burying his face in her hair as he tried to ignore the nagging feeling of guilt in his mind. He knew he had to push those thoughts aside if he wanted to embrace his life with Anna fully. But no matter how hard he tried to convince himself that he had made the right choice, Xavier couldn't shake the image of Luna's tear-stained face from his mind. He couldn't silence the voice of doubt whispered in his ear, questioning his decision to let go of the woman who had once held his heart. Xavier felt his heart shatter as the words of Della's rejection struck him. He couldn't bring himself to say the words of accepting her rejection, but he caught sight of Anna in the shadows glaring at him. "Do it." she mouthed at him, pointing to her belly. I, alpha Xavier of the Silver Moon pack, accept your rejection, Luna Della of the Silver Moon pack." Xavier's voice trembled as he recited the words, his eyes locked with his Luna's, filled with sorrow and regret. He felt a heavy weight settle in his chest as he pronounced the acceptance of Luna's rejection, knowing that his heart would forever ache for her. His Wolf remained out of sight, angered at him for getting another pregnant. Luna Della's eyes glistened with unshed tears, a mix of sadness and bitterness evident in her gaze. She nodded silently, her jaw clenched to hold back her emotions. The pain of losing Xavier, the man she had loved with all her heart, was a wound that would take time to heal, but she knew she would come back stronger. As Xavier turned to walk away, Anna approached him, a triumphant smile playing on her lips. "You made the right choice, Xavier. She was holding you back," she whispered, her words like poison in his ears. "Our baby can grow up happy in our new family, Xavier." Luna Della's ears pricked up at those words, and she let out an angry growl. "So, she's pregnant with your heir, is she?" Della raised her eyebrows as it all started to make sense. She had tried for months to get pregnant, but it hadn't happened, and now she knew why. "Yes, he's going to be a father and I a mother. You will never know how good it feels to have a tiny pup growing in your belly." Anna gloated smugly at Della as she held on tightly to Xavier's arm. Xavier's heart sank as he heard Anna's words, a jolt of realisation running through him. A wave of guilt washed over him as he thought about the consequences of his actions, not just on Luna but potentially on the child she was carrying. "Then I will go, but let me tell you something, omega Anna. The moon goddess will punish you, bringing you to your knees and begging for forgiveness and redemption. You will never be as loved and adored as I am by the Silver Moon pack members. You are merely a weakened omega using the alpha to gain power. You will never be a true luna, and your baby will be a curse, not a blessing and as for you, Xavier. Shame on you. From this moment forward, I cut all ties with you and this pack. Your parents would be ashamed of you if they were still alive. Goodbye, Xavier." And, with those words, Luna Della turned away, leaving Xavier and Anna in shock. "I hope you don't live to regret this decision, Alpha Xavier." came the words from his very own Beta , a warning laced with disappointment. Xavier felt a pang of regret and guilt wash over him once more, a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. He knew he had made a grave mistake, choosing Anna over Luna and letting his desires cloud his judgment. He knew that Luna was right about Anna, that she was only using him for power and that their child would be a burden, not a blessing. As he watched Luna walk away, her figure disappearing into the night, Xavier felt a sense of loss and sadness wash over him. He knew that he had lost something truly special in Luna, a love that he may never find again. And as he turned to face Anna, he couldn't help but wonder if he had just made the biggest mistake of his life. But as Anna wrapped her arms around him, a smug smile on her face, Xavier pushed those thoughts aside. He had made his choice, for better or for worse, and he would have to live with the consequences.

Chapter 2 Two

"Xavier, I love this dress. Today I will wear it. Perhaps we can shop for a beautiful dress for my upcoming Luna ceremony." Anna gushed excitedly as she twirled around the bedroom, holding one of Dellas' most beautiful dresses against herself. Xavier glanced up and felt his wolf's dislike of the omega touching his exes' belongings. Xavier's stomach churned at the sight of Anna holding Luna Della's dress, a twinge of discomfort settling in his chest. The dress symbolised Luna, a reminder of the love they once shared, and seeing Anna covet it filled him with a sense of unease.

"Anna, that dress belongs to Luna," Xavier said, his voice tinged with disapproval. "It's not yours to wear. And we haven't discussed anything about you becoming the Luna. You are merely carrying my child." Anna's expression shifted, her smile faltering at Xavier's words. "But Xavier, I thought... I thought we were moving forward, starting a new chapter together," she said, a note of defensiveness creeping into her tone. Xavier hesitated, torn between appeasing Anna and honouring the memory of Luna. He knew he had to tread carefully, navigating the delicate balance between his past and present. "I understand, Anna. But that dress holds sentimental value to me. It's not something we should take lightly, and the pack needs time to adjust to such a big chance of circumstances. You know how much they adored Della." he explained, his eyes pleading with her to see reason. Anna's expression darkened, a flicker of annoyance crossing her features. "Fine, Xavier. But she's gone, and she rejected you, but you still want her. Have it your way," she said tersely, tossing the dress back onto the bed before storming out of the room. Xavier watched Anna storm out of the room, her words echoing in his mind. He knew she was right in some aspects, Luna had indeed rejected him and moved on, but the wounds were still fresh, the memories still raw. He couldn't just erase the love he had felt for Luna, no matter how much he tried to move forward with Anna. As he looked at Luna Della's dress lying on the bed, a sense of longing washed over him. He missed her, missed the connection they had shared, missed the comfort and understanding in her eyes. Luna had been his rock, his guiding light, and losing her had left a void in his heart that he couldn't ignore. "Alpha, is it true? Is Della really gone?" Marcella rushed down the grand hallways when she spotted Xavier coming out of his office. Xavier turned to Marcella, his Beta, with a heavy heart as he processed the reality of Luna Della's departure. The weight of her absence settled heavily on his shoulders, a burden he wasn't sure he could bear. "Yes, Marcella," Xavier replied solemnly, his voice laced with sorrow. "Luna Della has left, she rejected me as her mate and alpha. She's gone." The words felt like a heavy weight on his tongue, the finality of it sinking in with each passing moment. Marcella's eyes widened in shock, her hand flying to her mouth in disbelief. "But why, alpha? What happened?" Her voice was filled with concern and confusion, mirroring the tumultuous emotions swirling within Xavier's own heart. Xavier hesitated, unsure of how to explain the complex web of emotions and choices that had led to Luna Della's departure. "It's... complicated, Marcella. I made a choice, one that... hurt her deeply," he admitted, the guilt and regret evident in his tone. "I chose Anna, the omega who is carrying my child, over Luna. And she couldn't bear it." As Xavier stood in his chambers, contemplating the difficult choices he had made and the uncertain future that lay ahead, Marcella's expression hardened. The sympathy in her eyes gave way to a steely resolve, and she took a step back, her features set in determination. "Alpha, I cannot stand by and watch you make decisions that go against the values of our pack," Marcella said firmly, her voice clear and unwavering. "Choosing Anna over Luna Della, betraying the bond you shared with our former Luna, it goes against everything we stand for. I cannot support this." Xavier's heart sank at Marcella's words. He had always valued her counsel and loyalty, but now he found himself at a crossroads, torn between the expectations of his pack and his own desires. The weight of his decision pressed heavily on his shoulders, the consequences of his actions coming into sharp focus. "Marcella, I understand your concerns, but I have to consider the future of our pack," Xavier replied, his voice tinged with regret. "Anna is carrying my child, and I have a duty to protect and provide for them. I'm asking for your trust and support in this matter." Marcella's expression softened slightly, a flicker of doubt crossing her features. She had always trusted Xavier's judgment, but this was a situation unlike any they had faced before. The conflict between loyalty to the past and the demands of the present weighed heavily on her, leaving her torn between her loyalty to Xavier and her own sense of morality. "Alpha, I... I need time to process this," Marcella said quietly, her eyes betraying the turmoil within her. "I want what's best for the pack, but I also need to stand by my principles. Give me some time to think." As Xavier stood alone in his chambers, the weight of Marcella's disagreement heavy on his shoulders, he knew that the harmony of the pack was at stake. His heart ached with the conflict between his duty as alpha, the memory of Luna Della, and his burgeoning family with Anna. Deep in thought, Xavier decided to seek counsel from an elder pack member, an old friend who had always offered wise advice in times of need. He made his way to Elder Sophia's home, a humble cottage nestled in the heart of the pack territory. Elder Sophia welcomed Xavier with a warm smile, sensing the turmoil within him. As they sat by the crackling fireplace, Xavier poured out his heart, recounting the recent events that had shaken the pack's foundation. Sophia listened intently, her wise gaze fixed on Xavier's troubled face. When he had finished speaking, she took a moment to gather her thoughts before speaking. "Xavier, my child, the path of leadership is never easy. Sometimes, we must make choices that are hard for others to understand. But it is in these difficult moments that we are truly tested," Sophia said gently, her voice filled with wisdom born of a lifetime of experience. She continued, "Remember that you must lead with both your head and your heart. The decisions you make will have far-reaching consequences, but stay true to your values and the good of the pack. Trust in yourself, but also listen to the voices of those who care for you."

Chapter 3 Three

Della left the pack house and slid into her car without looking back. Her hands clenched the steering wheel as she turned the key, the engine roaring to life. The tyres screeched as she accelerated, leaving the dust of her old life behind. Her gaze was fixed straight ahead, a steely determination in her eyes. She refused to let a single tear fall, refusing to give Xavier the satisfaction of her pain. His betrayal, especially with an omega, was bad enough, but the news of the pregnancy had shattered any remaining hope she had for their future together.

For years, they had tried to have their baby, and this was how he wanted to be. Della had given her life to a man who she thought was her one and only. They had sworn their love and promises under the moon and in front of their loved ones and pack members. She knew that Xavier was a fool to choose anyone over her, and the moon goddess would surely punish him for his terrible actions. The wind whipped through her hair as she sped down the familiar roads, the familiar sights blurring into a haze of memories. Della's heart weighed heavy with the ache of betrayal, but she refused to let it consume her. She was not weak, and she was not a pawn in Xavier's tangled web of lies and deceit. With every mile passed, Della felt the chains that bound her to Xavier and the pack slowly beginning to unravel. She was done playing by someone else's rules, done with being trapped in a love that was nothing but a facade. As the pack house faded into the distance behind her, Della felt a sense of both sadness and relief. The ghosts of her past would always linger, but she was determined to forge a new path, one that she would carve out on her terms. She would build a life for herself, reclaiming her independence and her sense of self in the process. The unshed tears in Della's eyes shimmered with mixed emotions - not just despair or regret, but also a glimmer of hope and determination. She knew the road ahead would be tough, filled with uncertainty and challenges, but she was ready to face them head-on. And as she drove further into the distance, the fire in her eyes burned bright with the promise of a new beginning. The city skyline loomed in the distance as Della drove towards her destination, the skyscrapers reaching the sky like jagged teeth. The familiar sights and sounds of urban life surrounded her, starkly contrasting the serenity of the pack house she had left behind. As she navigated the bustling streets, her mind was a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts. Della's hands gripped the steering wheel tightly as she approached a neon-lit petrol station on the city's outskirts. The gas gauge blinked ominously, reminding her of the need to refuel. Pulling into the station, she parked her car next to a row of fuel pumps and stepped into the cool evening air. Lost in her thoughts, Della failed to notice the figure approaching her from the shadows. A tall, enigmatic stranger emerged from the darkness, his features obscured by the dim light of the petrol station. Della's heart quickened as she instinctively tensed, her guard raised at the unexpected intrusion. "Hey there, do you need a hand?" the stranger's voice was low and smooth, sending a shiver down Della's spine. She realised she must have looked crazy standing there, lost in her thoughts. She turned to face him, her eyes meeting his piercing gaze. Gasping in surprise, she couldn't take her eyes off him. Something about him drew her in, a magnetic pull she couldn't resist. "Um, I'm fine, thank you," Della replied cautiously, looking away, but her voice betrayed a hint of vulnerability. The stranger's lips curved into a knowing smile, a glint of amusement dancing in his eyes. "Are you sure about that?" he questioned, his tone laced with mystery. Della hesitated, unsure how to respond to this mysterious stranger who seemed to see through her defences. Before she could reply, the stranger reached out a hand, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through her. Della's breath caught in her throat as he gently brushed a lock of hair behind her ear, his touch surprisingly tender. "Let me help you," he offered, his gaze unwavering. Della's heart raced with uncertainty, torn between caution and curiosity. There was something about this stranger that intrigued her, a sense of possibility and intrigue that she couldn't ignore. Unable to find her tongue, Della nodded in agreement. The stranger flashed her a captivating smile before taking the fuel nozzle from her hand, his touch igniting a spark within her. As he refuelled her car with practised ease, Della watched him with fascination. As the fuel pump clicked off, signalling that the tank was complete, the stranger turned to face Della again. In the glow of the petrol station lights, his features were cast in shadows, adding to his air of mystery. "Thank you," Della murmured gratefully, her voice barely above a whisper. The stranger's smile widened, revealing a glimmer of warmth beneath his enigmatic exterior. "It was my pleasure," he replied cryptically, his words tinged with intrigue. Before Della could probe further, he stepped back into his car and gave her a wink as he roared off. Della was stunned by his random act of kindness and went to pay for her fuel. And she picked up some munchies and a couple of water bottles since she had left packhouse with barely anything. As she climbed back into her car, she gazed at her reflection in the rearview mirror. Della's mind was abuzz with questions and thoughts. Who was the stranger? What had drawn him to her in that moment of vulnerability? She started the engine and shook her head in amusement. Suddenly, her phone vibrating in her purse jolted her back to reality. She fished it out and saw a text message from Xavier, the man who had shattered her heart into a million pieces, the man she was driving away from at that very moment. The message read, "Della, please, let's talk. I know I messed up, but I love you. We can work through this. Please don't shut me out." Della's hands trembled as she read the words, the pain of his betrayal fresh in her mind. The surge of emotions threatened to overwhelm her, but then she remembered the mysterious stranger from the petrol station, the enigmatic figure who had sparked a glimmer of hope in her heart. "Go to hell. We're over! You fucked up big time!" she replied and then deleted Xavier's message. She chucked the phone out the window, officially cutting the ties that bound her to a past filled with hurt and deceit. As she drove from the petrol station, the city lights shimmered like beacons of hope in the darkness. The wind of change brushed against her, carrying with it the whispers of untold adventures and new horizons waiting to be explored. Della continued to drive. The events of the day had left her drained, emotionally and physically. She needed a break, a moment of peace, to gather her thoughts and plan her next steps. As she navigated the unfamiliar streets, a sign caught her eye - "Rosewood Motel - Vacancy". Without hesitation, Della pulled into the parking lot of the modest motel, the glow of the neon sign casting an eerie light in the darkness of the night. Stepping out of her car, Della stretched her tired muscles and gathered her belongings, heading towards the motel office. The door creaked open as she entered, a small bell tinkling to announce her presence. The reception area was dimly lit, the smell of old wood and musty carpet filling the air. A middle-aged man with a gruff demeanour sat behind the front desk, his eyes flicking up to meet hers as she approached. "Can I help you?" he asked, his tone brusque and businesslike. "I'm looking for a room for the night," Della replied, her voice tinged with weariness. The man nodded, fingers clacking away at the keyboard as he checked for availability. After a moment, he looked up and handed her a key. "Room 17, down the hall to your left. Cash only," he grunted. After paying, Della took the key and went down the dimly lit hallway, the worn carpet muffling her footsteps. Room 17 was a simple affair - a queen-sized bed, a small table, and a threadbare armchair. The musty smell of old cigarettes lingered in the air, but Della was too exhausted to care. She flopped onto the bed, the mattress creaking beneath her weight. The day's events played through her mind like a broken record, the pain of Xavier's betrayal still fresh in her heart. But as exhaustion pulled at her eyelids, Della pushed the memories away. As she drifted off to sleep, a soft rustling sound caught her attention. Groggily, Della sat up, squinting into the darkness. Was someone in the room with her? Her heart hammered in her chest as she tried to make out what was happening. "Who's there?" she called out, her voice trembling with anxiety.
