Joey Walker is the most popular guy at school. A lot of girls like him and one of them is Olivia Denzel. She likes him a lot and she can say that she's his biggest fan. She supports him in everything but Joey hates her. He thinks that she's annoying and wishes that she stop liking him. When she does, he's starting to miss her. Not to mention that there's someone who likes her and loving the fact that Joey lets her go already.

Chapter 1

"Go Joey! Go! Go!" I cheered for Joey completely screaming and praying that we will win this basketball game. Our school currently leading 6 points and Joey just need to stop the opposite team from scoring.

I bought 2 cold water and a small towel with me. I always stand by for him in every game.

Joey Walker is the star of our school. He's the most popular guy and everyone loves him. Guys wanna be his friends and girls wanna date him. Almost all the girls are in love with him and they all have different methods in expressing it. Yes, I'm one of them. I support him by cheering for him and giving him water along with towel at every game. If he's sick, I'm ready to get hum medicine and cook him porridge so he will feel better. If he doesn't bring a book in class, I'll give it to him even though I have to face detention.

That's how I tried to get him notice me. Other girls have different methods like wearing sexy clothes, beautiful make up, flirting and some of them are offering their body but Joey is not interested in them.

"Ahhhh!" Kelly, my bestfriend, screamed. I turned to see the game has ended and I can't help but scream with her.

"They won!!" We jumped up and down. We hugged each other and we're just.. out of this world. I saw Joey hugging all of his teammates and people congratulated him for being the team ace.

He walked towards his bench and I quickly walked towards him. I put the water and the towel in front of him.

"For you. Great game." I smiled and he took the water drinking it fast.

"Congratulations.." I said and he shrugged. Joey always ignored me and it's nothing new for me. I walked away towards the bleachers as he celebrated again.

"Let's go!" Kelly said.

"No, let me see him first." I said without taking my eyes off.

"We're finished, Liv." Kelly said in an annoyed tone.

"Let me buy him some energy drinks and food. Wait here okay?" I said without waiting for her answer. I ran out from the basketball court to the cafeteria. I looked at the fridge and grabbed his favorite drink and sandwich. I ran back and found some of his friend already walking back towards the classroom.

I waited for him and when I saw him, I quickly ran and stopped in front of him. I put the drink and sandwich in front of him. His friends teased him and he looked at me annoyed.

"Dude, take it." Michael, his bestfriend, said laughing.

"I don't need it."

"Don't be harsh, dude." Harry said.

"Here, take it." I said waiting for him to take it. He took it and then he threw it to the ground. The drink spilled and the sandwich box slightly opened. I looked at the ground completely speechless and he walked past me.

"You're being rude." Michael hissed

"I don't like girls like her." Joey said it loud and clear. I sighed and cleaned up the mess.

"What the fre-" Kelly hissed and I squatted down.

"Hmm?" I cried. Yes, I cried. This is not the first time him rejecting my gifts but it always hurts. Kelly looked at me sadly.

She always reminded me how a piece of jerk Joey is but I never listened. She said someone like Joey doesn't deserve my time, let alone my love. I always wanted to move on from him but I can't.

"You're an idiot! Stop doing this stupid shit! Whatever you have for him is.. making you hurt. You already done enough, Liv. You deserve so much better." Kelly helped me and I know she's right.

"Stop liking him, you always get hurt. In the end of the day, you're nothing to him." Kelly said and she said it a thousand times already. Kelly hugged me and I sighed.

"You need to move on, find someone who is better than him." Easy for her to say. She has half of the basketball team crushing on her but too bad she hates all of them.

"I can't. I don't think I can".

"Look, let's get out from his place first." She said as she helped me stand up. She led me to the garden at the back of the school and sat on the bench.

"Stop liking him. I mean it! For real!" She said pointing her index finger straight to my face.

"I can't. You know I can't. I've tried many times.." I said as I looked up to the sky completey frustrated.

"He hurts you.. a lot."

"I know."

"Then why? Until when will you act like this?

"I don't know, maybe until I'm.. sick of it." I said as I turned to her. She sighed and looked up to the sky.

"You're too good for anyone, but Joey doesn't desereve you at all."

"I know, but a part of me still believe that one day he will notice me." I nodded.

"I hate him, I really do." Kelly hissed and I chuckled.

"One day I'll get sick of him and maybe one day, I'll go back to London."

"Let's go back to London soon." She suggested and I smiled.

Kelly and I have known each other since we were babies. Our mothers are bestfriends. I was born and raised in London but why am I in Los Angeles? It's because my brother has a business here and I want to have new experience instead of staying in London.

My brother is 6 years older than me and he hates the idea of me following him at first but he then admitted that it's less lonely that I'm in LA with him. I have an older sister too and she's 2 years older than me. My parents and my sister are all in London so I rarely talk to them.

"Let me ask you something.." Kelly said and I turned to her curiously

"What is it?"

"I never ask you this but.. do you like him.. as in admiring him or.. you like like him? Like you want to be his girlfriend?"

"I don't know to be honest." I'm being real here. I admire him, really, like really admire him. He's a really good basketball player, he's cute and not to mention he's academicly excellent. I like him for being so perfect but do I want him as my boyfriend? I don't know. I might want it but I don't know.

"Well.. I'm surprised that you don't know about yourself."

"What do you mean?"

"Cause it's clearly that you're in love with him. You told me at first that you're only admiring him but look at you, you cried when he rejected your drink and sandwich. You love him and he's too blind to realize it. He hurt you countless times and you just forgave him like it's nothing."

"Love? I'm in love with him?" Am I that dumb? I know love is such a beautiful thing and I don't even know how to identify it.

"You're even too clueless to realize your own feelings. You're in love with the wrong person to be exact." She added and I let out a deep sigh. My phone rang and I took it out from my pocket answering it without looking at the caller ID.

"Hello my olive.." I smiled hearing my sister's voice.

"I miss you!" I squealed.

"Really? You miss me? I'm going to LA in 5 days." She said and I turned to Kelly putting it on loud speaker.

"Are you for real?" I asked.

"Yes! Let me send you the ticket.." She said and I screamed in excitement.

"Hey hey don't scream.." She said chuckling.

"I miss you, Summer!" I said.

"I know.. I do too." She said.

"Tell Will for me, he's not picking up his phone. See you in 5 days, Liv." She said and then ended the call.

"Can't wait having Summer here.. she's legit like a ray of sunshine!" Kelly said and I couldn't agree more.

"It will be fun!" With that I forgot about Joey.

Chapter 2

"Come on! We will be late for history class!" Kelly pulled me through the crowded hallway.

"I hate Mr.Angelo, he's.. too on time." I hissed.

"Faster!" Kelly said and she literally shoving everyone on her way. I like history class because Joey is there too. He always sits 2 seats to my right. I saw him when we entered the class. I walked to my seat and looked at Joey before sitting down. He was talking to his friends when Mr.Angelo entered the classroom.

"You all bring your book right? I told you all to bring it, who doesn't bring it will be punish to the end of century!" Yes, he's exaggerating. I opened my bag and took out my history book. I turned to Joey and he was checking his bag in panic. He turned to me knowing that I would give the book to him. I asked his friend to pass it to him.

"Who doesn't bring the book?" Mr.Angelo asked. I raised my hand and Kelly's eyes widen. She knew I brought the book because she reminded me earlier to bring it to class.

"Get out! Stand in the middle of the field with your hands up." He said and the whole class laughed. I turned to Joey and he smirked winking at me. I sighed and walked out with Mr.Angelo following me to the field. I stood in the middle of the field with my hands up in the air.

"Stand there for an hour." He said and walked back.

After about 20 minutes, I could see the clouds starting to turn gray. I could feel a rain drop on my skin and I looked up to the sky. Suddenly it started to rain and I was debating between staying or run back to the building.

I stood there and I heard Mr.Angelo called me. I ran back to class and the whole class looked at me mocking with their eyes. Joey smirked and gave me a nod. I turned to Kelly and she looked at me completely upset.

"Go get your bag and change." Mr. Angelo said and I nodded. I grabbed my bag and walked to my locker to take my spare of clothes. I walked to the bathroom and changed it. After checking myself in the mirror, I looked out the window and it's still raining outside.

I checked the time and it's still 10 am. I rubbed my hands because I started to feel cold. I walked out from the bathroom and saw Joey standing in front ot the bathroom. He threw a small towel and he looked at me one last time without saying anything.

"Thanks." I said and he walked away. I looked at the towel and smelt it. It smells just him and I love it.

"Olivia!" I turned to see Kelly running towards me.

"Hey." I smiled.

"Don't 'hey' me! What were you thinking?! Giving him your book in Mr.Angelo's class?" She's mad but I was busy smiling.

"Why are you smiling?" She glared at me.

"This.."

"From who?"

"Joey." I smiled.

"Funny." She said sarcastically and the bell rang.

"Let's go to Math class, history is over." She said as she pulled me to my locker. She told me to wait because she's grabbing the bag from history class. After she's done taking her bag, she gestured me to follow her to math class.

Joey and his friends walked past me. His friends started to talk about me helping him.

"She's always be the one who help you.." One of his friend said.

"Yeah." I heard Joey answered.

"I'm jealous, I want to have fans like that. Any thoughts in dating her?" His other friend asked.

"No." Damn.

"She's kinda cute."

"How about you date her? I'm not interested." Ouch!

I turned to Joey and he caught my eyes. He smirked and I glared at him. Why is it so hard to like someone like him? I turned to continue walking towards my math class but I bumped into someone because I wasn't looking.

"I'm so sorry." I said as I looked up. I froze in place because he's a new guy and he's cute.

"Watch it! Are you blind?!" He bursted angrily

"James! Long time no see!" Joey hugged him and I walked away. Before I walked away, I heard Joey mumbled, "Stupid girl."

That hurt a lot actually, I know in the end of the day, I will let it go but slowly my feeings for Joey will fade. Besides if I stop liking him, he wouldn't care. I bet he will be so glad that I won't bother him again.

Suddenly someone caught my wrist stopping me and I turned to see the guy from earlier.

"What's your name?" He asked in a british accent. Why didn't I notice earlier?

"Olivia." I told him and I turned to Kelly. I gestured her to go first and she nodded.

"I'm sorry about earlier." I said.

"James, nice to meet you." He put his hand in front of me and smiled. I looked at him suspiciously but he took my hand anyway. I saw Joey standing behind him and he gave us an unreadable look.

"Nice to meet you too. You're new?"

"Yes, I moved from Brighton. My family just moved back here and sorry about earlier. That was rude.."

"It's fine. I'm actually from London. Transfered here last year."

"That explains your accent, it's cool to have a friend from the UK. So al-"

"Let's go.. why are you talking to her?" Joey grabbed his shoulder.

"Just go first, I'll catch up with you later." James told Joey and Joey looked at him like he grew another head. He turned to me glaring that I'm taking his friend.

"Sorry about him, so your family all moved here?" He asked.

"No, it's just me and my brother. My parents and sister are back in London."

"I see." He said and the bell rang. "Let's talk again next time, Livie, I have to go to the office to pick up my schedule." He said and I nodded.

"You called me Livie.." I said and he raised his eyebrows.

"Your name is Olivia, I'm assuming they call you.. Livie.."

"No, usually people call me Olive."

"It's okay, I want to call you Livie. It sounds cute." He smiled and patted my hair.

"See you around, Livie."

Chapter 3

"You talked to that guy?" Kelly asked looking at me suspiciously and I nodded.

"Is he acting like a jerk?" She asked in an angry tone.

"No, he's nice and he called me Livie." I said and she raised her eyebrows.

"I don't.. have a good feeling.."

"What?"

"I think he's interested in you." She smirked as she smacked my butt.

"Kelly!" I hissed.

"Students! Please sit down.." We both turned to our teacher and sat down. James walked in and he turned to me smiling before he turned to Joey. I turned to Joey and he was already glaring at me.

"Hello class, I'm James Smith. From Brighton, UK. Nice to meet you all." He greeted and some girls looking at him in awe.

"James, pick a seat and pick a friend to tour you around. Since you don't know their names, you can point at them." James nodded and he walked to my seat. I turned to Kelly and she smirked.

"Livie, will you tour me around?" When that some people gasped, I turned to Joey. Joey was busy with his book and I turned to James.

"Sure."

"Okay, Olivia. You will show him around." The teacher said and I nodded. He sat between me and Joey. I turned to Kelly and she winked. I heard some girls started to mock me.

Math class was not fun, Joey was busy eith his thoughts. I kept glancing at him but he was busy looking at his things.

The bell rang and Kelly sat on my desk. As I was about to ask her, but suddenly she left. I called her but she ignored me. I turned my head to see James already sitting in front of me.

"James, let's eat!" Joey said and I turned to Joey instantly. Joey looked at me annoyed and then he turned his head to James.

"No thanks, Livie here is going to give me a tour." James smiled to me and Joey left. I put everything into my bag and started my tour for James.

"This is the school garden, beautiful right?" I asked and he looked at me before turning his attention to the garden.

"Yes."

"This garden connects to the cafeteria where everyone has their lunch, the cool thing is.. the cafeteria is seethrough so everyone can enjoy the garden." I pointed at the cafeteria and James followed my direction. His eyes narrowed and he smirked.

"What are-" Before I can ask, he grabbed my hand and walked back into the building.

"Please, continue."

"This is the library and let's go here.." I walked first and pointed at the soccer field. "This is the soccer field and that's our class." I pointed at the window of our class earlier. I turned to the field and chuckled.

"Why are you laughing?"

"I was punished earlier because I gave Joey my book and the teacher punished me to stand there."

"Why did you give your book to him?" He asked curiously.

"Because I like him, I like him a lot." I said without looking at James.

"Come on, let's continue." He said as he took my hand. I led him to the basketball court.

"This is the basketball court where Joey pratice." I said and he nodded.

"I'll be joining the team by the way."

"Really? You'll come to today's practice?" I asked.

"Sort of."

"That's cool, let me show you other rooms." I toured him around the school and we laughed at random things. James is nice and I can say that he's a fun guy to hangout with.

"Thank you, Livie."

"You are welcome. I hope you will like it here."

"Let's go to class.. my last class is.. Biology."

"Oh! We're the same then." I said squealing and she chuckled.

"Let's go.." He said as he grabbed my hand. We walked to class together. We were busy talking until class that I didn't notice that we're already inside. Everyone was looking at us and I saw Joey raising his eyebrows and Kelly smirking. I turned to James and let his hand go before walking to my seat.

"What's with the holding hands?" Kelly teased.

"Huh?"

"I saw you from the cafeteria, so was Joey. He was watching you both and you two looked like a couple." She winked.

Biology class started and I was not listening. I was daydreaming throughout the lesson. Sometimes I turned to Joey but he was too focus. The bell rang and Joey got out from the class as fast as he can. James bid his goodbye but he didn't know that we will see each other again.

Kelly told me that she has to go home so I'll watch Joey alone today. I got up and put my stuff back into my locker. I bought 4 cold water and a towel for Joey.

I walked to the basketball court and walked up to the bleachers. I sat there and watched Joey play. James appeared a few minutes later and he talked to Joey about something. Joey chuckled and patted his back. They both started playing and I can say that they played along really well. After an hour and a half, they're done. I walked down to Joey to give him water and a towel.

"Here you go." I said and he looked at me glaring. I looked away and he grabbed my towel to wiped his sweat. He then threw the towel to the ground and he grabbed the water bottle from my hand. He dropped it too.

After that he walked away, I looked down and held back my tears. I have to be strong and I walked to his bench and put the rest of the water bottles there. I sighed and decided to go home.
