Genre: Werewolf
Aurora? Alpha king? These two words were so strange to Lynn. What did she have to do with them? Who is the one who dominates the world of the wolves and vampires? Not only that but also the witches?! Was that possible? Who is the wolf whose painting could make her tear up at a glance? She couldn't understand. Why would she yearn so much for someone she barely knows? Questions of curiosity flooded her mind, and when she finally got her answers...she wasn't happy. As she realized whoever she was dealing with isn't just a happy-go-lucky person. Would she be able to embrace the truth and her connection to the world outside her normal high school life? especially when she'd been promised to marriage to a total stranger and finds out... she's not the only soul residing in her body. He was satisfied with watching from the shadows, he had failed to keep her smile in the past but now he was going to change that, no matter what it takes. He didn't care if they belonged to his race or were his subject. He would kill them all. For his Aurora.

Chapter 1 Aurora.

The howling sound of a wolf pierced through the night as shadows lingered around the dark alleys. Deep in the woods, the faint crescent moonlight lit up the gathering of wolves coming together in a circle, silently. Their bodies began to change shape as they all finally stood in their human form with the dominant alpha leader standing in their midst. Their worried faces as both gender present looked up to their alpha for his final decision. He sighed as his face hardened and he spoke up. His commanding tone filled with power piercing through their ears.

"We get her tomorrow night. We have no time to stall any longer, the sooner we find our alpha king the faster we end this madness." Looking around at the twenty of them gathered, their worried faces visible, he added "If you wish to leave out of this plan step backward."

In less than a minute, steps were taken. The alpha sighed at the five volunteers he had left. He expected this as he was also aware of how insane and reckless the plan was, it could get the little of their race they're trying to keep alive dead, but he still wished he could get more volunteers.

"Alright then," he said to the five "we assemble here tomorrow evening, things must go according to plan. Dismissed."

The gathering dispersed as someone walked up to the alpha and tapped him lightly on his shoulder.

"Dean you sure about this? It's the alpha's mate we're talking about here."

"I sure am. It's going to work, but I do hope to see the end of it. The alpha's so not going to be happy we messed with his mate." he sighed and added immediately "remember, treat her carefully. She must be brought here at all cost BUT CAREFULLY please."

Dean pleaded to Jason his brother and also one of the five volunteers.

"You don't have to tell me, I don't want to get my throat sliced through. Though we already crossed the line from the moment we had this idea in mind." Jason said seriously.

Dean knew this, but he was ready to do anything to get the alpha king to help them. He was ready to get his head cut off for that.

"Come on."

"Hmm." Lynn groaned as she shifted sleepily on the soft bed cover fabric. She smiled in comfort, just about to go for another round of a blissful sleep when reality hit her.

Sleep? When did she fall asleep? Her bed isn't as soft as this?!

Her eyes shot open and the unfamiliar surrounding came in sight. She froze still on her chest as only her eyes wandered around in confusion. Her room wasn't this luxurious, she gaped and tried to remember what had happened last night. It finally hit her. She had run to get something from the store and on her way back five people had cornered her. They had asked her to come with them but of course no one would hear that and just follow along quietly. She had tried to put up a fight but it ended with a blackout.

Now, she was sleeping peacefully on the soft peach scented duvet.

"Am I crazy or something?" She muttered to herself and shot up on the bed as she got a full view of the room painted in white. Her mouth fell open in disbelief. "I did get kidnapped...right?"

First off, the white canopy bed with a touch of gold was huge. It could take on seven people and there would still be space left for more. The craziest part was that it didn't take up quarter of the room. The furniture on the other hand looked priceless. The white chest drawers with touches of gold, two white chaise lounge and a sofa- also with a touch of gold. The fireplace would've been any normal place if it wasn't also for the touch of gold. The table, the carpet, the chandelier... everything had a touch of gold, some were even plain gold. She didn't want to think about the chance that they could be real gold. With everything in the room, it still didn't take up half of the room space.

"Where am I?" She asked herself. Then she paused as a hanged painting finally caught her eyes.

The large frame- of course in gold, held the picture of a white wolf. It was the purest white she'd ever seen, even purer than snow. The enchanting blue eyes which gave the portrait life sucked her in, the wolf had bared it's fangs and it looked ready to attack. As menacing and intimidating as it looked, she couldn't help but feel marveled at the sight as a nostalgic feeling hit her. It almost brought her to tears.

"Huh?" She paused as she felt something warm fall down her cheek.

Wait, is she actually in tears?! It was meant as a figure of speech!

A door fell open and her attention was shifted to the young girl with a caramel blond standing at the doorway. She was holding a tray with a jug and cup on it. Guess what...it was also gold.

"Ohmygosh you're awake!" she said with a frightened look that had Lynn thinking 'pretty sure it's the one who got kidnapped that should look that frightened'. The girl seemed to have noticed something 'cause the tray fell from her hand in her attempt to cup her hands over her mouth in shock.

"Hey, are you okay?" Lynn asked wondering what had made her react that way.

"D-dean? Dean! She's awake!!!" She literally screamed as she made her way out. Lynn sat still as a whole level of confusion hit her. "Dean you made her cry!!."

Lynn heard again "Ah, no hold on! I'm not crying." she tried to call out but the girl was gone.

She sighed at her inability wrap up what was going on in her mind. She really wasn't crying... but she also couldn't tell them a painting brought her to tears? She sighed again, rubbing off her tears that she couldn't explain. "Who was that anyway?" she asked herself.

It was morning, and her parents were probably worried sick. She got down from the bed and walked over to the window to peer out but drew back immediately with widened eyes.

Where on Earth were they?!

It was about eight blocks down to the ground, and they were surrounded by nothing but trees.

She was done relaxing. Now she needed answers.

She walked back to the door and picked up the jug and the cup back on the tray. Strangely, knowing the fact that she was kidnapped and in an unfamiliar place didn't seem to have much effect on her for some reason. Rather than being scared, she was curious. She carried the tray along and stopped at the turn as something caught her attention. There was a cart there, and it had all her favorite desserts cut and decorated in beautiful shapes with different flavors. Cake, cookies, sweets, pudding, ice cream and chocolate. Would she call this a coincidence?

Her mouth watered as she swallowed hungrily while her stomach growled as she faced a boss level temptation. She looked down the long corridor, no one was in sight.

"Just one won't hurt."

She pursed her lips and reached for the cake, taking a bite made her eyes gape as it melted in her mouth. She smiled in satisfaction as the cake tasted out of Earth, taking another bite peaked her curiosity and made her wonder how the others tasted like. She peaked down the long corridor on both sides with no one still approaching. Looking back at the cart that called out to her, she smiled mischievously as her sweet tooth took over. "Well. I might as well enjoy myself since I've been kidnapped. I'll get answers later."

She chuckled and rolled the cart back into the room, set down the tray in her other hand on the table, and jumped on the bed with the cart in front of her.

"Which should I go with first?" She contemplated and finally reached for the ice cream.

Taking a bite of everything sent her into utter bliss. It tasted better than the ones she could get at the stores she went to. Was it too much to wish she could get kidnapped everyday? she smiled giddily and her eyes went back to the painting, her chewing slowing its pace. It's strange, she thought. She'd seen so many paintings in her surrounding but why was this so... different.

What was more amazing was the fact that she had no feeling of discomfort or fear even with the situation of her fear of dogs. Yes, she couldn't stand them, their mere sight could send her heart into a frenzy, and she couldn't explain why she was so scared of them. She'd never been attacked by one and there's been no other occurrence that could have caused it, but the fear was somehow engraved in her bones. Perhaps because this was a wolf, there is a difference between that and a dog right?

Though she's never been face to face with a real wolf so that was the only conclusion she could come up with.

She heard a knock on the door and immediately dropped the piece of chocolate she was holding back on the plate. She looked back at the guy who now stood at the door and she froze, she hadn't noticed him there. His eyes moved to the cart before looking back at her and she knew she'd done it. She paused her lips, not knowing know how to explain the situation. "Huh-this is..."

"Was any of that to your liking, Aurora?" He asked

"Uh?" her head perked, a little bit taken aback by the question "oh. Yes, it tastes lovely. And- my name isn't Aurora. It's Lynn."

He simply smiled and she found herself relaxing once again. "Fay made them. She was so worried they may not be to your liking."

"No. It's actually really great! Strangely, this are all my favorite." she said excitedly

"That is such an honor. Fay would be glad to know that." he said as his next reaction made Lynn tip her head in confusion. He put his right hand on his chest and his left behind as he lowered his head in a bow.

Now that was a whole level of cringe for Lynn. She didn't know why he did that but all she could make out at the moment is that she had been assigned the wrong kidnappers. She recognized him as one of the people who cornered her on the street, and thinking back carefully, she remembered that they had actually asked for her to come with them. They hadn't tried to grab her forcefully but they did knock her out in the end. She was brought to a luxurious room and the windows had been left open, given a king's bed, he had even knocked! served desserts...more like she took them but still the point remained. They weren't bad people.

"Did you hear that?! She said she liked it!"

"Quiet Fay! She'll hear you."

Lynn heard the whispering outside the door and she couldn't help but let out a little smile. One thing did disturb her at the moment.

"Why aren't you coming in?" She asked. He'd been outside the whole time like there was a line keeping him out.

"Ah, Please pay no mind to it, Aurora. Just being in front of you has made me sign a contract of getting my head roll off my neck." he said and Lynn couldn't help but think of how he kept getting her name wrong. Were they mistaking her for someone else?

"I've been told I have a scary look but I'll just let you know I'm not a fan of watching heads roll," Lynn said with a little pout. She sighed as she finally got serious "Now let me ask you. What do you want from me?...I'm pretty sure it's not money."

"Your presence is all we need Aurora." Dean replied and looked out the window as he said with a serious tone "He should be here any minute now."

Lynn who couldn't relate to his words was about to open her mouth to ask further questions but then a loud voice echoed in her head. It sounded like a growl so loud and clear she felt a chill run down her spine.

*Where are you?!*

Immediately, everything made of glass in the room shattered. She screamed out and cupped her ears at the sudden outburst that surprised her. Her eyes widened at the strange event. What just happened? Who said that? she looked around the room searching fervently for someone. Who? She didn't know, but just those few words drew her to him.

The man standing at the door moved outward and she rushed out to know what was going on. She paused at the doorstep as her eyes widened. She had come out just in time to see Fay go down in a curve and Lynn almost thought she had a heart attack. Fay's body arched up as her bones seemed to shift inside her, hair stuck out and finally, a ginger colored wolf stood in front of the corridor along with three others as the guy stood in their midst.

Instinctively, she stepped away as her heartbeat fastened at the sight of the much bigger dogs in front of her. Fear gripped her as she breathed out slowly to calm herself. She couldn't believe she was more scared of the wolves than the fact that a human had just morphed into one.

Guess there wasn't much difference after all, She thought.

She noticed they were all looking at one direction... ahead. "We have to get you out of here. It's too dangerous for you to be here any longer." the guy said and looked back at her.

"W-wait, what's going on. Who's coming?" She paused as their attention got drawn to the person that appeared at the end of the corridor. She could recognize that undercut anywhere. "Simon?-simon how did you find..."

It all happened too fast for her.

All it took was a second. In one second, Simon closed the gap of a thirty feet long corridor and grabbed Dean by the neck. He slammed Dean against the wall and a huge crack appeared. Lynn gasped with a flinch in shock at the crack as they couldn't look any less real.

For the first time since the beginning of high school. The Simon who had never taken a class serious, who would rather goof around and make lame jokes instead of taking his life seriously and quit being so carefree, standing on the corridor as he glared down at Dean with his brown eyes now glowing red, he wasn't smiling.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Simon growled.

Chapter 2 Vampires and Wolves.

"Dean, are you crazy?! What exactly are you trying to do?!" Simon yelled

"We had to do something. I was tired of doing nothing and waiting. You're also aware of what is going on. I needed a chance to talk to him" Dean said as he got up looking unfazed by the hit.

"Talk to him? You really think he's willing to talk right now? Your head's going off before you even get to say a word" Simon said and grabbed Dean by the collar "You know you should mess with anything but her. You mask off her scent and made him restless." He turned to the rest of them who looked like they weren't ready to back down. "If he couldn't think for himself couldn't you guys stop him?!"

Lynn stood quietly as she couldn't help but stare at the crack on the wall. She looked at Simon's eyes and her brows furrowed, she knew Simon very well. He isn't a fan of contacts. So what exactly is going on.

"Uh- may I..." She was cut off

"Suit yourself then" Simon shrugged off Dean's collar. "He only asked me to get Lynn away from here. I don't even care what happens to you"

He turned her way and she'd never seen him look so pissed off.

"I had to do something. My race is dying. You don't just expect me to sit and do nothing!" Dean said now sounding angry too.

"It'll be better if you had done nothing! I told to trust me and let me talk to him but now what?! YOU DIDN'T JUST GET YOURSELF IN DANGER BUT YOUR WHOLE RACE IS INVOLVED NOW!"

Suddenly, the ground began to shake under their feet. Lynn could see Fay and the other wolves take a step back as they lowered their head and whimper in fear at the danger they sensed approaching.

Simon knew he had to get Lynn out immediately. The shaking was a warning. He carried her in his arms and took the other end of the corridor.

"Simon what's happening?" Lynn asked

"I'll explain later" he said as they stood in front of the window. He climbed on and she grabbed his cloth as her eyes questioned him.

"What are you doing? You're not thinking of jumping out are you?!"

"Don't worry. We won't die" he replied and before she could say another word. He leaped out the window as she screamed. The height was nothing to him.

He is a vampire after all.

He was with White when they'd realize Lynn's scent had faded. It took him a while to get White to calm down.

300 years!

It's been 300 years since he last saw White bare his fangs and claws. It was also the first time he'd see him look so scared and angry. White hadn't fully transformed but it was enough to make the vampires and wolves in the continent fall on their knees. Simon who was the closest to him almost got knocked out, he couldn't get himself for a whole minute. All this for the single human he had in his hands right now.

He knew Dean had messed up real bad, and he couldn't do anything to stop the fate that awaited him. He even had the nerve to move her away every time they got closer.

Simon let Lynn down in front of her house.

"Go on in" he said and turned to leave but she grabbed him.

"Won't you tell me what exactly is going on?" She shot at him. "Moreover how did you move that fast?! I could barely see a thing! And your eyes. Who were those people?"

"You sure have a lot of questions for someone who just got taken away by strange people... I guess you normally would" Simon said and sighed "Look Lynn. Right now isn't the time, you get yourself inside first. I'll explain everything later"

She stared at him persistently. "Promise?"

"I promise" he answered. She wanted to get answers immediately but the worried look on his face made her back down-for the moment. He turned to leave.

"Wait... will they be okay?" She asked, concerned about the others she'd met there. She didn't know them but she also didn't feel good leaving just like that. She wanted Simon to reply that they would be okay, that she was just overthinking things, but he didn't look back.

"Go on in."

With that, he left as fast as the wind.

On getting back, he stopped in front of the white house vacation home for their kind...well, that was it's old purpose. Now it's just a run down building as White stood in the middle of all the debris. Simon was forced to step back as his vampire instinct couldn't withstand the insane pressure emitting from White.

White looked back at him, the blue eyes pierced through Simon, his face looking as calm as the silent sea with not even a single scratch on him.

"Where is she?"

"S-she's back home" Simon stuttered as he had little control over his voice. He looked at the rubble and could see a paw sticking out with blood stains.

"Good" White said as he started to walk in Simon's direction. "Now find me the rest of them. Seems I need to pay my fellow wolves a visit after so many years."

Simon replied with a bow as White finally left, he exhaled and slumped down on the ground as he could finally breath.

This is gonna be a long week, Simon thought.

*****

"Girl, are you sure you're okay? You've been out of it the whole day" Jane who was sitting across Lynn in the cafeteria asked.

Of course she was out of it. Everything finally sunk in after a while and she realized she was actually involved in a crazy situation. Worst of all, Simon wasn't in school. There's no one to get her answers from and now she's really worried.

"I just have a lot on my mind" Lynn said and Noel raised a brow.

"Is this about you being kidnapped?"

"She's still on about that?" Adam asked as he placed his tray on the table and sat next to Lynn.

"She called us first thing in the morning and I was so excited to hear what she had to say" Jane added and then gave Lynn a disappointed look.

"I'm telling you. It's true" Lynn said defensively as Adam shook his head with a little smile.

"Okay" Adam spoke "Now listen Lynn. I'm going to repeat exactly what you've said to us so far. Correct me if I'm wrong"

"Okay."

"You went to the store, on your way back you were kidnapped by strangers, they took you to a luxurious room to sleep in, gave you snacks, and then a fight started between them and they brought you back home."

"Exactly"

"Oh I'm not done. They didn't throw you in a basement and tie your hands. They didn't ask for a ransom. They didn't hurt you but rather gave you a safe ride back home after staring at your face for one night. Also, Simon was the one who brought you home, and his eyes was all red"

"Exactly" Lynn agreed with his every word and they all stared back at her silently. It was then she realized how unconvincing her words were. "Come on guys, Noel you believe me right?"

"No." Noel replied almost immediately "Sorry girl but you know I don't believe in fairy tales of that sort."

"The test must be getting to your head. Don't worry, even you if you do fail and have to take a makeup I assure you that you won't be alone. Simon would be there with you" Adam said and they all nodded in agreement.

"This isn't funny guys" Lynn pouted as Noel turned to face her.

"Oh, it isn't. I can't believe you took the snacks some stranger gave you. You're way pass the age of being told not to collect things from strangers!" Noel scolded.

"Well that-" she started but had no excuse to give. She couldn't tell them she actually took the snacks before they even had the chance to offer her some.

"The probability of you being lured away with snacks seems higher than the rate of you actually being forcefully kidnapped" Noel said but Lynn couldn't agree with that.

She might have a sweet tooth but there's no way she could get lured by...

Someone tapped her shoulder and she turned to see a chocolate.

"Oh, thank you" She took it and started to unwrap it, but then she paused when she noticed them all staring at her. "What?"

"You scare me Lynn" Adam said with a frightened look

"You didn't even check to see who handed it over to you!" Noel yelled

"Well I thought it came from Adam"

"It wasn't me" Adam threw his hands up as she turned to look at him.

"What?"

"That came from me" Chris said behind her.

She turned back and smiled at the brown haired handsome who smiled back at her. He was the oldest in their group...

...also the one who had stolen her heart.

His manly build couldn't be hid away in his warm looking leather jacket. She wanted to snuggle into those chest and have his built arms wrap around her and...

"Hello? Earth to Lynn?" Noel snapped her fingers in front of Lynn's eyes as she finally snapped back into reality. Chris was now sitting and staring at her confusedly.

"You can have the chocolate Lynn, it was yours to begin with."

"Huh?" she let out in confusion as Noel whispered to her.

"You're drooling."

Her hands were as swift as lightening as she looked away and closed her eyes, embarrassed. She heard Chris let out a little laugh and she smiled

Even his laugh sounds sexy!, She screamed in her head.

"How'd your test go?" Jade asked and Chris immediately scowled which made the others laugh.

He let out a smile as his head dropped "I mean, how could you do that to me? I just want to have a nice lunch and keep all unnecessary thought behind"

"Haha! Your look definitely said 'I don't wanna talk about it"

"You saw that and still went ahead to ask?" Adam said in disbelief.

"I was simply trying to show my concern" Jade said and let out another laugh. "That was one priceless face you had on"

Lynn smiled, then it dawned on her "By the way I don't see Aaron? didn't you come together?" She asked looking at Adam and the table fell silent.

"Ah... well- he had something really urgent come up"

Lynn went quiet as she totally picked on his hesitation.

"Oh really? I never thought Aaron would actually miss a day of school. What could be so important?" She pushed as she was curious about his next answer.

"Don't know. He didn't tell me anything." he answered as he bit into his sandwich.

It was an obvious lie for Lynn. There's no way he didn't know why Aaron was absent. They were twins after all, and she could say she knew them more than anyone in the school. The brothers share anything and everything together, they were practically joined at the hip.

She looked at the others, they weren't asking? So they definitely knew what was going on. What were they keeping from her, she wondered and suddenly felt left out.

Simon was also absent from school. The little rat had promised he would explain what exactly happened last night. She couldn't wait to get him and make him spill whatever it was he knew.

Her stomach rolled and she winced.

"One minute, I'll be back" she got up to leave for the restroom.

****

She came out of the stall with a wince as she rubbed her stomach that didn't settle but actually became worse. It didn't feel like something she ate but she somehow felt nauseous and irritated. She stared at the mirror as her complexion didn't look so good, she sighed as she decided to head straight to class and get some rest before lunch was over. She hated the smell of drugs so the infirmary was a no-no.

She let go of the basin and her vision suddenly blurred up, her body lost every ounce of strength in her and she fell to the ground as her head came in contact with the door.

"Ah!" She yelped as she held her head in pain, she struggled up and held the doorknob as her head pounded from the impact, another contact with the toilet floor was something she wasn't looking forward to. She couldn't tell what was going on with her, she'd never lost her strength before. She slowly let go of the doorknob as her strength slowly seeped back in.

She walked out as she rubbed her head and carefully made her way to the classroom. The classroom was empty and she let out a sigh of relief, just what she needed at the moment. She was about to sit when she flinched at the loud bang that came from outside the window.

"I'm gonna need you to calm down Adam. I get you're angry but we're at school. We can't call for unnecessary attention."

Adam? Why is he out there and not at the cafeteria?

Lynn could recognize the other voice. It was Simon.

Was he in school all this while? Are they actually arguing? Lynn thought.

She started to move closer to the window to tell them off and get hold of Simon.

"You're telling me to be calm? How the hell am I supposed to be calm when Aaron could be killed any minute from now?!" Adam snarled and Lynn froze a few steps away from the window.

What?

Chapter 3 Wolves.

What is he talking about? What's going to happen to Aaron?

Lynn wanted to rush up to them and squeeze out answers, but she knew Simon was likely not to spill. Their voices weren't so loud so she moved quietly and stayed close to the window.

"You said you would do something about this and told us not to worry. I trusted you to handle this but now I'm about to lose both my mom and brother."

"He won't listen to anything I say right now. Give me a little more time and..."

"...time is what we don't have!" Adam cut him off "if anything happens to Aaron and my mom, I- Damn it!"

"Where are you going?"

"To Aaron, I can't let him be there alone. I only came today to find you but there was no point in that."

"Wait, Adam. That's dangerous. Don't- ah."

Lynn heard Simon let out a sigh as she couldn't hear Adam anymore. He was gone. She didn't know what was going on anymore, but she wasn't just going to stand around when she just heard her friends were in danger.

She stopped hiding and jumped out the window to land next to Simon. He didn't seem surprised to see her.

"Did you know I was listening?" She asked and his weak shrug gave her an answer.

Lynn straightened and exhaled "I don't understand what's going on but I need you to be straight with me. Can you fix this?"

Simon paused for a while and looked away before muttering "No."

"Is there something I can do to help?"

"Forget it. I don't want to get you involved in this any further" he replied, turning to walk away.

"So you're saying there is something I can do? Then let me help!" Lynn said as she ran to his front with her hands spread out.

"It's too dangerous Lynn."

"Then are you just going to watch something happen to Aaron and Adam? You just said it yourself that you can't fix this. So you should try to make use of everything you can at the moment."

"You're right. I should make use of all the help I can get."

"Then-"

"-but it can be any help but yours. This all started with you anyway."

"What do you mean this all started with..."

Suddenly, her eyes rolled up her head and before she could realize her consciousness had left her, her body slumped down and Simon moved just in time to grab her. Her vision blurred out and she couldn't get herself for a moment.

"Lynn! Are you okay?! Lynn? Lynn!" Simon panicked as he carefully rested her head on his chest. "Lynn, can you hear me?"

It took a minute for her brain to remember how to sit up, she gave her head a little shake as her sight cleared up and she felt her body go back to normal. "Yeah. Yeah I'm okay"

"You sure?" He asked worriedly.

"Yeah. I'm totally fine, stop overreacting" Lynn said as she got up.

"Overreacting? I just saw your eyes roll up your head!" He touched her forehead and drew back immediately with widened eyes "You're hot!"

"What?" She felt her forehead and frowned. It felt normal to her.

"Let's go to the infirmary,"

"I don't want to."

"You have no choice. You don't expect me to leave you walking around with you boiling up."

"Like I said I'm totally fine!"

"I'm not falling for that" Simon said looking hell-bent on getting her to the infirmary.

"Ugh!" Lynn rolled her eyes as she threw her hands up. Simon has always been like this for as long as she could remember, he takes up every small issue and overreacts.

"I came in to see why you weren't coming back but I guess you're okay seeing how you're trying to tear down the school with your bickering." They both turned to see Noel staring at them.

"Thank goodness you're here Noel. Please tell Simon that I'm perfectly fine and that I don't have a fever." Lynn said and walked closer to the window.

"A fever?" Noel brought down her hand to Lynn's forehead and she looked back at Simon. "She seems fine to me."

"Seriously?" Simon moved closer and felt her forehead once again, his brows furrowed and he pulled away confusedly "it's really gone."

"Because it was never there in the first place."

"Thought you weren't in school today?" Noel pointed at Simon.

"I'm not, I'm just passing by."

"You do realize you have a test today right?"

"I also do realize 'Battle of the gods 4" will be out today and I do not want to miss it," he said looking dead serious as Noel stared at him in disbelief. But Lynn knew he was only putting up his other Simon.

"Miss Taylor's been asking all over for you. Perhaps I should let her on to what you just said." Noel turned and Simon called

"Twenty bucks!"

"Hundred."

"Deal."

Noel walked back inside as her lips had been sealed and Lynn was left speechless. She looked back at Simon who sighed and spoke in a soft voice.

"Look, Lynn. If there's anything you can do for me right now it's to be safe. I have to leave now, I'll try to figure something out okay?"

He turned to leave and Lynn dragged him back and said softly.

"I know you, Simon. When you don't have a plan you don't. I won't ask you to let me help but if you guys don't make it out of this, I'll make you regret it."

She glared and Simon froze for a moment as Lynn let go of him and walked away. Simon knew Lynn is human, but there were times when Lynn spoke to him and it felt like White was the one speaking. Now that she's spoken, he knew he had to come up with a plan.

*****

Lynn could barely concentrate on the history test. She was regretting letting Simon leave as she thought she should have been more persistent. A sigh escaped her lips as she decided to trust Simon, she knew a lot of things about him and one of them is not saying things he didn't mean. He said he would figure out something, so she would wait.

Again, a shock hit her head and she winced, the words on her test paper doubled and her head began to spin. Her eyes fell shut as she gave her head a little shake, perhaps she should have listened to Simon and should've gone to the infirmary. She slowly opened her eyes as the pain died down, with her sight also cleared up, she decided to leave for the infirmary after the test. She raised her pen to start writing,

then out of nowhere, something flashed in her head.

Her body froze up and her pen fell off her hand as her fingertips trembled, the sudden chill that rushed in through the window made her the hair on her skin stand.

What was that?

Lynn felt a tap on her arm and she flinched, she turned to her left to see Noel staring at her with a worried look.

"You okay?" She mouthed

"Huh?" Lynn was taken aback by the question as Noel looked back to check on Mr. Frost who was busy staring at Kylee's sheet at the back roll.

"You look pale. You sure you're okay?" Noel asked in a whisper now and Lynn shook her head before whispered back.

"It's just a little headache. I'll get some rest after this."

"Don't push it, okay?"

"Hm, thanks" They looked away as Mr. frost turned his gaze to the front.

Lynn couldn't tell if she was coming down with a cold or if it was something else. The picture that flashed through her mind came back to her but she blinked it away as she didn't want it to bug her. She was probably just being paranoid. But something about it didn't sit right with her. She started to fill in her answers again when she saw something move in the hallway, she looked up to see Simon waving his hand furiously. When he realized he'd caught her attention, he mouthed immediately.

'Help me. You have to come with me. Like right now!'

'Right now?' Lynn mouthed back and he nodded. He looked desperate. She looked down at her paper and frowned as she still had a lot to answer.

"Ugh, whatever." she mumbled and started scribbling answers down. She could feel Noel's widened eyes on her as if to tell her she was doing the wrong thing but she ignored her and got up immediately to drop her paper on Mr frost's table. She ignored the surprised look he gave her.

"You still have some time left to check over it," he said looking at his watch.

"I'm fine. Restroom break?" Lynn asked as he gave her a suspicious look.

"Alright. Go ahead."

She rushed out before he could change his mind and went up to Simon

"What's going on?" She whispered as she got closer to him.

"You were right, I couldn't come up with a plan, you're our last hope" Simon rushed as he got on one knee in front of her with his back facing her. "Hop on."

She hopped on his back and he came back up, her weight didn't seem to have any impact on him.

"I'll explain on the way," he said, and swoosh, they were out.

Lynn could barely keep her eyes open as the immeasurably strong wind blew at her, she felt Simon come to a stop and she raised her head. It's only been a minute. She opened her eyes to see them now standing on an open field with tall trees surrounding the space, it didn't look like a place she recognized.

"We're here." Simon said and she looked around

"Where?" Lynn asked and Simon looked at her as she gave him a questioning look. "You never did get to explain on the way."

"...right" Simon looked away and Lynn heard voices. At the other end of the cleared up field were people gathered. It almost looked like a party but the look on their faces was not inviting, it seemed like a quarrel. She blinked as her eyes adjusted and she could make out some familiar faces, the bakery store man across the street, her neighbors, the Smiths. She recognized some of the others from school. Jason, Alisha, Todd, and three others from the upper grade. Even the school janitor. Some didn't even look American. "What's going on? Why are these people here?" Lynn asked and she finally sighted Adam and Aaron. She was about to move forward when Simon stopped her.

"Everyone of them you're seeing right now are wolves."

She paused for a minute and finally said "Excuse me?"

She stepped back as she took another look at them. She couldn't count them but she could tell they were over five hundred, she recalled the way she had seen the ginger-haired girl turn into a wolf and her heartbeat quickened as it dawned on her, she had five hundred people who could become dogs any moment from now in front of her. The thought of that wasn't so pleasant.

"Hey" Simon stepped in front of her as he noticed her uneven breathing. "You okay? We can go back if you feel uncomfortable."

"No, It's okay," she replied as she took a deep breath to get herself together. He came to her for help and help is what she would give. "So, what do I do to help?"

He breathed out and said "You wait here."

"That's it?" She let out in disbelief "I don't have to stall someone? Or get the police? Or fight one of them?- though there is a chance I might lose that one but still...that's it?!"

"You'll understand after this is over," Simon replied as they both watched some new people join in. The three of them also didn't look American, and for some reason, the man in front looked like he was about to stir up trouble. She saw him speak but she couldn't hear a thing, they were too far away. The breeze did raise some words to her but it still made no sense.

Meanwhile, Simon could pick out every word they said.

"I finally get a break from work and this is how I spend it. Can you American wolves go a day without poking your noses where it doesn't belong?"

"And can you like freaking shut your mouth up and be quiet Gustavo?" A girl shot at him with a look of disdain.

"I'll say what I want to and decide when not to- Abby!" he shot back as the malice picked up in the air.

"Why are we here anyway?" Gustavo threw his hands in the air as he looked around for answers.

"You didn't hear?"

"Not much. I just heard someone who couldn't keep still went and stirred up trouble but I don't see why we all should be called in for that... Is it that serious?" He asked curiously as their faces went grim, then one of them finally replied

"Dean messed with the Prince's mate."

Gustavo went quiet for a moment as he seemed to think something through.

"I only know of one prince. Please tell me I have him confused with someone else?" He said hopefully but the silence that followed made his eyes widen. "You're kidding, right?... The prince has a mate?!"

"That's what you're concerned about?" Someone else said "We all know why we're here, we also know we're not leaving here alive."

"That's crazy. Are we just gonna let ourselves get killed?" he threw his hands

"Got anything else in mind? If it doesn't end with getting away from the prince in one piece count me out."

"I don't have a golden plan like that in mind," Gustavo frowned and turned to look back at Abby and the others behind her. He knew Abby was the next alpha to take charge of Dean's pack. Since he wasn't getting out alive, he might as well do whatever he wants.

Gustavo smirked at Abby and said "I did have a score to settle with you."

With that, he arched down immediately as his clothes tore off and his gray wolf took over, Abby changed just in time for defense as the others behind her weren't letting her go in alone. Gustavo's people weren't also backing down, with half of them in their wolf form, they growled ferociously, their backs arched as they looked ready to attack.

"That's enough."

Simon stepped into their midst and Lynn looked to her side confusedly and wondering when he'd left, she had watched everything that happened but something else baffled her. They had looked ready to pounce a minute ago, but as soon as Simon got there, they stepped away and the air around them cooled off. Lynn wondered how he was able to do that. Her gaze turned back to the wolves and her heart rate picked up again, now that she stood alone, she didn't like it. She flinched and spun back as she thought she heard something move between the trees but there was nothing in sight.

"Seeing as you're here I guess we really are toast." A man said to Simon who understood what he meant.

"Don't worry, I'm here to help." he said and a light lit up in their hearts.

"Did you speak to him? Is he going to forgive us?" Adam asked as he stepped forward with Aaron and their mom behind.

"He won't listen to anything I say at this moment," Simon replied and turned to look at Lynn. "But he'll listen to her."

They all turned towards the direction of his gaze to see the beautiful black haired human who turned in their direction and looked the most confused among them.
