Her Sweet Revenge

Sixteen year old Asanel ran hurriedly, her hair swaying side to side as she did.

She checked her wristwatch and she groaned. But then she heaved a sigh of relief when she finally got there.

She met guards hovering around and she sighed.

"Not again.." She groaned.

She walked towards them with a smile.

"Hi uncles.." She greeted and bowed her head lightly.

"Oh, you're here again.." One of them said with a smile.

"Come on in.." He said and then opened the gates for her.

Asanel smiled and walked in. Her eyes scanned the beautiful penthouse and she walked in. Into the living room. Then she saw him seated on the sofa, his eyes glued on a book.

"Jason.." She called and the handsome young guy looked up and then he smiled when he saw her.

"Pretty, you are here.." He said and Asanel rolled her eyes. She walked towards him and dragged his ear. Jason groaned immediately.

"Couldn't you have waited for me before proceeding here?" Asanel asked.

"I'm sorry.." He pouted his lips cutely and Asanel freed his ear. Jason laughed again.

"Hmn, did you know how I had to run over here? And I must be home before six. Mum must never know I'm with you.." She sighed and Jason smiled.

"Even my parents must know that I'm with you, especially my step mum.." Jason said.

"We have just have to be patient. One day, this feud will stop.." Jason smiled and then caressed her hands.

Asanel smiled.

"In class, you are really cold but here, you are just something else.." Asanel smiled and Jason let out a scoff and faced her. Well, Jason was a very cold type, he snobs everyone most of the time. It even took time before Asanel and him became friends. They never got along at the first instance but they later became close friends in a couple of months.

"I told you, only you can see my soft side.." He whispered sending tingles down her spine.

Their hearts raced in unison as they both slowly stared into each other's eyes and he cupped her cheeks.

He brought his face closer to hers and then he smashed his lips on hers. Immediately he did, both eyes closed, their affections poured out with the kisses.

He wasn't gentle at all, he immediately parted her lips with his tongue and she opened up, holding him tightly and pulling him more closer to her.

Hours later.

Asanel groaned and opened her eyes, she looked around and discovered that she was in the bedroom, unclad with just the duvet covering her.

Her eyes widened when she remembered what happened hours earlier. Jason and her kissed, things got out of hand and they got intimate! She turned over to her side but Jason wasn't there anymore. He just left her there. Maybe he used her.

"No, no.." She gasped,tears running down her cheeks.

"What did I just do? I'm just sixteen for crying out loud. We are both just sixteen, so young and we did this. Gosh! I must be stupid!" She cried and tried getting out of bed but the pains down there stopped her.

Well of course, she's still a virgin and she foolishly gave herself out to him.

She took her clothes which were lying not far beside her and she wore them crying. As soon as she stood up, Jason walked in with a tray of food.

He dropped the food on a table nearby and then walked towards her.

"Where are you going?" He asked, trying to touch her but she moved backwards.

'Home.." She answered coldly and tried to walk away but he grabbed her wrist.

"Wait. Why.."

"Why are you stopping me? Do you want to remind me how cheap I was giving myself to you. How this is a fling?!" She yelled but she was surprised when he pulled her into a hug, a tight embrace.

"Just calm down.." He said and Asanel broke down in his arms crying.

He broke the hug and wiped off her tears.

"Why are you crying, huh?" He asked softly.

"And for your information, you are not a fling. You are not one of those girls that gives themselves cheaply to me. You are different.." He whispered and caressed her cheeks.

"I never thought I could fall in love. I didn't believe in love but you just blew me off; that I'm so crazy about you. I love you. I love you.." He muttered and placed his forehead on hers as their breath mashed together but then Asanel pushed him off and then ran off.

"Gosh!' He groaned and fell on the bed.

Asanel got down from the cab and she hugged herself slightly. Then she opened the gate of her house, then she walked in.

"Will mum be at home?" She asked herself as she walked in. When she got into the living room, the lights were switched off

Asanel smiled and then was about to tiptoe to her room when the lights suddenly turned on.

Asanel gasped.

"Where are you doing from? Asanel Anderson?" Her mum's voice was heard behind her.

"Mum.." Asanel called and turned back.

"I asked you a question? Where were you?" Matilda asked, walking towards her.

"Mum, I went out with a friend.." Asanel answered.

Matilda sighed and then hugged her daughter gently.

"I'm sorry sweetie, I know I've not been here for you, for sometime now but I just can't help it. I really want to unravel that case, about what happened to lady who was raped to death..' Matilda said.

Well, unfortunately for Asanel, her mum, Matilda was a dedicated and hardworking journalist and her Dad, too a CIA agent. He was rarely at home. Asanel couldn't say she was close to both her parents, since they were both busy.

"I have a strong feeling that 'The Madisons are involved with this.." Matilda said and Asanel broke the hug.

The Madisons were the ruling family of the city. James Madison was the governor and also a wealthy tycoon, he owns different companies in the city and also overseas. He's also the founder and owner of Asanel's high school. His wife, Lauren Madison was also a congresswoman but she was his second wife. They had three children -Jason Madison, Tyson Madison and Rebecca Madison.

"Mum, not again.." Asanel said.

"Sweetheart, believe me. It's true and that's why I want you to stay away from their son, their family is up to no good. One of the witnesses confessed that James is a drug lord.."

Asanel's eyes widened immediately she heard that.

"And lately, both me and your dad has been receiving death threats.."

"I was almost run over by a car, yesterday. Everything can't just be a coincidence..." Matilda said and Asanel nodded.

She actually didn't want to believe it but then she remembered she received a parcel a week ago from an unknown person. And when she opened it, she found her parents and her picture stained with blood and a note saying "Beware of your actions or you will lose your family.."

Asanel sighed. She didn't want to think about it. She was too young for this.

"Mum, where's dad? He's supposed to be home today.." Asanel said.

"That's true.." Matilda said and just then her phone rang. She smiled when she saw it was her husband calling.

"It's your dad.." She told Asanel and she answered the call.

"Honey.." She called.

"Maltida, I've found something relating to the rape case.." Daniel said and the smile on Matilda's face erased almost immediately.

"What? Tell me. How did you find out?" Matilda asked.

"It's related to 'The Madison's'. They have a hand involved with it and also some of the politicians are involved too.."

"Wait, but are you sure you are not followed. Are you safe?" Matilda asked.

"Don't worry, I'm safe but then, Matilda, no matter what happens, stay strong for Asanel and our family. No matter what happens, be strong.." Daniel said.

"What are you saying? You are making me scared!" Matilda chuckled nervously.

"It's nothing. I love you very much and Asanel also. Tell her I love her very much. I'll see you at home.." He said and then hung up.

"Mum, what's the matter? You look tense?" Asanel asked and Matilda sighed.

"Your dad called and he said he found some evidence against 'The Madison's' but then he was speaking in parables.."

"Anel, go and rest for now. It's getting late already. I'll wake you up tomorrow.." Matilda said and then kissed Asanel's forehead.

'Goodnight mum.." Asanel said and walked into her room.

Asanel got into her room and she fell on the bed remembering what happened earlier today. And now, what's the Madison's connection to the rape case and also her parents.

Asanel picked up her phone, then she turned it on and then her phone beeped. She gasped when she saw it. It was a message from Jason. She already missed 10 messages from him and 12 missed calls from him.

"I really love you so much, Asanel"

"What happened today, I'll take responsibility for it.."

"Please give me a chance to redeem myself. Just a chance to prove myself to you"

"I love you baby, please reply me.."

Asanel sighed deeply. She remembered the kiss and smiled. He really was a good kisser. She felt butterflies in her stomach. And yeah, she didn't deny the fact that she loves him. She did but knowing the current situation of both their families.

That would be dangerous. Lauren and James already showed they didn't like her.

Asanel sighed when she remembered the competition that took place three months ago. Lauren Madison was the chief judge of the competition.

She had actually won the competition but the award was given to someone else. The look Lauren gave her was enough to shut her up and even when Jason and her were caught talking, she was warned severely by Lauren to stay away from Jason else she would be punished.

As she was lost in her thoughts, she suddenly heard her mum scream.

Asanel's eyes widened and she immediately wore her flip flops and ran out of her room.

She walked into her mum's room and found her on the ground crying.

Asanel rushed towards her immediately and crouched before her.

'What happened mum?" She asked, confused. She was starting to get scared, seeing the way her mum was crying now.

"Mum, what happened?" She asked again with fear in her voice.

"It's your dad.." Matilda said and hiccupped.

"Wh..what happened to dad?' Asanel stuttered.

"He was shot. He was shot multiple times in the heart and he's.. he's dead!" Matilda released the bombshell and Asanel's eyes widened. Tears rushed out of her eyes immediately.

A man walked into his bedroom chuckling silently as he did. He got in and closed the door.

"The job's done, right?" He asked.

"I'm glad it's done. It's one burden off my neck.." He smiled and the door of the bathroom opened and a woman walked out of it, in her nightie. She walked to the ber and sat on it.

Her husband hung up and faced her.

"Lauren, it's done. The CIA agent is gone now.."

Lauren chuckled and then stood up. She walked to the drawer, opened it and brought out a pack of cigarettes. She took out one and lighted it, then she placed it in between her lips.

"That's right. That family has been a pest. It's just only the wife and daughter, we have to do something about them also. Especially Matilda, she's getting on my nerves.." Lauren said and puffed out the smoke.

"Calm down, Lauren. We will take it one at a time. Let them mourn their loved one's death and it will be their turn soon.." James said.

"And yes, about their daughter, I think she's having a relationship with Jason. It's obvious Jason loves her. Jason has never gone against us before but he did so, when we didn't give her the award. We should not allow that to happen. You know Jason is already betrothed.." Lauren said and James smirked.

"What's her name again?" He asked Lauren.

"Asanel Anderson.." Lauren replied.

Asanel was in her room, crying heartily. She still couldn't believe her dad was gone. Her dad was really no more. Even when she saw his body, she didn't believe it.

The door opened and her mum walked in.

"Sweetheart.." Matilda called and Asanel wiped off her tears.

Matilda smiled sadly and sat beside her.

"I know how painful this is but it has happened, your dad is no more.." Matilda said and Asanel nodded with tears dropping from her eyes.

Her dad and her were not too close but they still sweet moments together. He would do all he could to fulfil her wishes.

"Mum, what's the result of the investigation?" Asanel asked.

"It was concluded that it's robbery. At that your dad passed by, armed robbers attacked him from nowhere. They took his car, phone and money. Everything he had on him but then they shot him to death.." Matilda explained and Asanel furrowed her brows.

"Since they got what they wanted. What was the need of killing him..." Asanel said in tears.

"It's planned. I'm very sure it's not an accident. The Madison's are involved in this. Moreover, your dad told me they had something to do with the rape case. He found evidence but it's all gone.." Matilda said with clenched fists.

"Asanel, I promise, I'll make them pay for it." Matilda said and hugged her daughter.

Jason groaned and sat up. He was not able to sleep. He picked up his phone again and checked it. She hasn't replied nor called back.

"Asanel.." He muttered and threw the phone on the bed.

The next day.

It was the wake of Daniel Anderson. While Matilda was attending to the well wishers, Asanel was in her room.

Well, she had no one to attend to. She had no friends even in school aside Jason. They never wanted to be friends with her and she didn't force it.

"If the Madison's were really involved in her dad's death, then she's going to help her mum find the evidence they need and bring to law. Wait, does it mean that Jason is also involved?" She asked herself.

"No, it's can't be. For the past six months, Jason has been a very good friend. I know he knows nothing.." She told herself and smiled.

Suddenly she heard her mum's voice yelling

"What are you doing here? You evil creatures?"

Asanel immediately wore her flip flops and ran downstairs. She gasped when she saw the governor and his wife. Even Jason was with them.

He smiled when he saw her.

"I asked a question, what are you doing here?" Matilda asked, trying to maintain her cool.

James smiled and removed his sunglasses.

"We are here to pay our condolences. We know the great work your family has done for this city. You and your husband help us in reducing the crime rate in the state and I'm very much grateful.."

Matilda scoffed immediately he said that.

Jason quickly sneaked away from them and ran to Asanel. He grabbed her hand and forcefully dragged her outside using the back door.

"That's why we decided to come in person and pay our respects to you.." Lauren added with a smile and Matilda scoffed again and moved closer to them.

"I know you guys are responsible for my husband's death and you are also involved with rape case, I know everything about you. And I promise to dig out your secret and show the world who you really are.." Matilda said angrily.

Lauren smiled.

"We have no idea of what you are talking about and what you are doing now is slander..." Lauren said.

"I don't care. Get out of here!" Maltida told them coldly and James sighed.

"Since you don't want us here, we will leave.." James said and walked away.

"Let me go!" Asanel yelled and hijacked her hand from his.

"Why are you here?" Asanel asked him and he scoffed.

"Did you really need to ask that? You refused to pick my calls and I understand that but why are you so cold?"

"I told what happened the other night was not your fault. You are not che.."

"It's not about what happened yesterday. It's about your parents and the fact that they had a hand in my dad's death.."

Jason looked at her surprised and then he scoffed.

"What are you saying?"

"Do you have any idea of what you are saying? You're calling my parents murderer!" Jason snapped at her and she smiled.

"They are. They killed my dad.." Asanel said. Jason sighed and then held her hands.

"I know you are angry but just think rationally. We promised that we would forget about the feud between her families right. Let's just stop this talk and focus on us!" He smiled but Asanel removed her hands from his.

"I can't. Anytime I see you, I will always remember my dad died because of your parents.."

Jason moved backwards immediately. The look on his face replaced with a cold look.

"Great job. You did a great job Asanel. Thank you for breaking my heart.." Jason said and walked away even before she could say anything. Asanel sighed and tears dropped from her eyes.

Meanwhile Lauren stood by the corner. She heard everything. Lauren smirked as she watched Jason get into the car.

"I can now finally send you off with this.." She muttered.

MADISON'S MANSION.

Master's bedroom.

Lauren walked into the room and met James on his laptop. She sighed.

"Honey, I need to talk to you about something.." She said and James looked st her.

"What do you think about sending Jason overseas to further his education there.." Lauren smiled and sat on the bed.

James sighed.

"I actually thought of that but I don't want to be separated from my son. I know he still resents me for his mum's death. I want to make it up to him.." James said.

"You can hon. But don't you think sending him abroad is a good thing. I found out that he had a relationship with Asanel. We can't let him stay here, if we plan to deal with that family.." Lauren said.

James nodded.

"You are right.."

"I'll ask them to prepare his flight to go to the states tomorrow.."

"You won't even ask for his opinion?" Lauren asked.

"My opinion is his opinion. He wouldn't refuse me.." James said and Lauren smirked.

She sat on the swivel chair and then took the glasscup of wine, then she took to her lips and sipped from it.

The door suddenly opened and a young man in a suit hurriedly walked in. He bowed slightly.

"What's it?"

"Lady red, Daniel Anderson is dead. He was killed by armed robbers.." He said and she chuckled and turned to face him.

"Do you honestly believe that? Armed robbers?" She scoffed and then dropped the glass of wine on the table.

"Daniel was so stupid. If he had wanted to bring them down. He shouldn't do so with the law. The law is useless. And moreover, they have an upper hand with it.."

"The Madison's are much more powerful than he thinks and I'm sure they are going for his wife next.." She said and stood up.

"Do you want to step in now?" He asked and she shook her head.

"Not yet, I want to see what scheme Matilda has, up her sleeves. Then i will be sure to help her.." She smiled revealing her beautiful teeth.
