Chapter 1 The Move

Tamera is a 37 year old mom of 2. She recently divorced her husband of 19 years. She only stayed with him until the kids were out on their own. Both kids are in college.

She has 2 friends. One local and one in Canada. Sad, right? Her husband was a decent man. He was a good father to their kids. He worked and paid bills. They had just married because she got pregnant with the twins.

They cared for each other, but were never really in love with each other. It was a mutual decision to stay together and raise the kids. The only good thing about the arrangement was they were able to give the kids a good home and show them care and love. They just never really had love for each other.

Her husband treated her like a friend. She suspected he was with other women, but was very discreet and no one ever knew to her knowledge. At least she never caught him with another woman. Her only regret is all the loveless years she wasted with him. The years of lack of affection had taken their toll on her mentality.

It could have been worse. She could have been in a relationship where she was beaten or verbally abused. He was neither of those things, and he had a good job and provided well for them. He just didn't show her any love or affection. They even slept in separate bedrooms. But her kids were taken care of, bills were paid, and they had a roof over their heads with enough food to eat.

"I can't believe you're actually thinking of going! But I understand why. As much as I would miss you, I know it would do you good to get away." Marie told her.

"I know. Am I crazy? Sheila has been begging me for years to come visit her. And just having the twins, she is in desperate need of help." Tamera explained.

"So? Are you going?" Marie asked.

"Yeah I think I am. I'd be a fool not to at least try it. A free Canadian vacation at a resort and if it doesn't work out, I can always move back." Tamera clarified.

"Well I gotta go. Let me know if you need help packing." Marie responded.

"I'm good." Tamera said.

"Hey girl." Sheila replied.

"Hey." Tamera answered.

"So are you calling me with good or bad news?" Sheila asked.

"Good." Tamera replied.

"OMG REALLY??" Sheila screamed.

"Yeah. I'll come give it a try. But be warned, if it's not for me, I won't stay." Tamera told her.

"That's all I ask! And I know you'll love it here!" Sheila

"We shall see." Tamera said.

"So are you driving?" Sheila asked her.

"Yeah, it's about 9 hours. But I want to have my own vehicle." Tamera explained.

"Okay, well keep me posted. I can't wait! Have a safe trip!" Sheila replied.

"Thanks, talk later." Tamera told her bye.

Tamera told her parents and kids. Her son was not happy about it, but her daughter and parents thought it would be good for her. Her twins, Brady and Paige, are both settled in college now. She's only taking clothes, so packing doesn't take long. The rest of her stuff went into storage at her mom and dad's house. After the car was packed she said her goodbyes and left for Canada.

11 hours later she's pulling into the resort her friend owns. She drove through a huge beautiful town. She pulls up to the valet and Sheila comes running out. They hugged and then went inside.

"I can't believe you're here!! I've put you in one of our best suites." Sheila grinned.

"You didn't have to do that." Tamera thanked her.

"Of course I did! A job perk." Sheila laughed.

Sheila showed her to her room. It's more like a small apartment. It has a kitchen, a small area for a dining table, a living room, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom. Then they went to Sheila's home. She meets her twins, Cayden and Jayden. Twin boys who are 3 months old.

"How do you tell them apart?" Tamera asked.

"A mom just knows. Michael, however, has a hard time." Sheila laughed.

"Did I hear my name mentioned?" Michael walked in.

"Tamera, I'd like you to meet my hubby Michael." Sheila introduced.

"Nice to finally meet you." Tamera shook his hand.

"Same here. Can't tell you what a relief it is you coming all this way to help." Michael replied.

"I'll do my best." Tamera answered.

"I'm sure you will do great. Your help over the years has been remarkable. Welcome to our home and family." Michael said.

"Thank you, that means a lot to me." Tamera smiled.

"Time for you to put that degree to good use." Sheila laughed.

"Hope there's not too much dust on it. It's been 19 years since I graduated from college." Tamera replied.

"You'll do just fine. Look at all the help you've given me over the phone all these years." Sheila told her.

Tamera is to take over as the events' manager. She'll be in charge of scheduling, decorating, catering, and planning all the events held at the resort. Businesses use the club for company retreats. They also have parties, balls, and even weddings there. The weddings have a planner who takes care of the wedding decor.

It's been a month and so far Tamera has done a great job. She's a natural leader and an excellent organizer. In the month she's been here she's taken advantage of the gym. She started changing her diet and can notice a difference after only a month.

She lost 10lbs, which ok is not a lot, but it helped improve her thinking about her fluffy body. She's always been disappointed in her body since the twins. Before them she wore a size 9. The funny thing is, during her pregnancy she only gained 32 lbs. Right after birth she lost 20lbs.

But the 5 years she stayed at home with them, she saw her putting on weight. At 225lbs she was disgusted with her weight. Make that 215lbs now.

"Okay don't freak out, but the cast of Changed will be checking in!!" Sheila said.

Changed is a TV series that Tamera loves and has watched for years, multiple times. Her big time crush is on one of the actors.

"OMG OMG OMG!" Tamera freaked.

"I said don't freak!!" Sheila said.

"I need to breathe! I can't believe I'll get to meet them!!!" Tamera smiled.

"I know right!" Sheila said.

"But wait, several of them live here, so why are they checking in?" She asked.

"Well, they are having a casting party to celebrate the season end. They'll watch all of their episodes they just recorded. You'll need to set them up with everything they need." Sheila explained.

"Okay, I may actually pass out when I meet them." Tamera took a breath.

"You will be fine." Sheila said.

"I have been a fan for 4 years now." Tamera responded.

"Maybe your crush will look your way!" Sheila yelled.

"Please! He's a hot, talented 26 year old, sexy, gorgeous actor who probably has tons of girls falling at his feet! I'm a plump 37 year old with 2 18 year old kids, and recently divorced. There is absolutely no freaking way on this earth he would give me the time of day." Tamera explained.

"Never say never." Sheila said.

"Never! Not gonna happen." Tamera responded.

"The director will meet with you at 10am this Friday. He'll go over what they need." Sheila said.

"And everyone will check in the following Friday. So you'll only have a week to get it set up." Sheila said.

"Okay. Not much time, so hopefully we have everything we need already. I hope this director is not a major pain to work with." Tamera said.

"No, he's great and not too bad to look at. He's also single, as is your crush." Sheila said.

"I will be a complete professional. Even if I'm exploding inside!!" Tamera replied.

"I have no doubts. You'll be just fine." Sheila reassured her.

Chapter 2 Meeting the Director

The week passed quickly. Friday is finally here, and it's time to meet the director. Tamera is nervous as can be. She skipped breakfast, fearing her nervous stomach embarrassing her.

There was a knock on her office door. She gets up and opens it. The guy standing there is hot. Mid 30's, smiling brightly and totally checking her out.

Tamera is 37, a little overweight, but a beautiful person inside and out. Due to her weight, she lacks confidence in herself and doesn't realize her true beauty.

"Mr.Smith, welcome, please come in. (Holds out her hand for him to shake it.)" Tamera said.

Richard Smith, the director, takes her hand and kisses the back of it.

"The pleasure is all mine." Richard said.

"Please take a seat and let's go over what you need." Tamera said.

"Thank you, Tamera." Richard grinned.

They discuss everything he will need for the week his crew will be here.

"Okay, well, I'm pretty sure we can accommodate your needs. I'll get to work on it right away and have it set up by the time your crew arrives. It was a pleasure meeting you and I look forward to working with you during your stay at our resort." Tamera explained.

"Trust me, the pleasure was all mine. I have no doubt you'll do just fine. And I can't wait to work with you." Richard replied.

"Should you need anything else, here's my contact information." She said and handed it to him.

"I do need one other thing." Richard said.

"What can I help you with?" Tamera asked.

"I am in need of a lunch date. I'm eating lunch here before I leave, and I hate to eat alone." Richard said.

"Well, I would be honored. How does 12:30 pm sound? I'll meet you at the restaurant." Tamera smiled.

"Sounds perfect. Until then." He said.

He leaves and Tamera gets to work on calling all the people she needs to get the room set up. The electronic equipment will be her biggest problem at such a short notice.

**Cell**

"Hey, can you and Michael meet me in the office asap? I need to run something by you guys." Tamera asked them.

"Hang on. Hey babe, can we meet Tamera now?" Sheila asked Michael.

(Background of Sheila's call) "Yeah I can spare about 30 minutes." He said.

"Will 30 minutes be enough time?" Sheila asked.

"More than enough." Tamera said.

"Okay, be there in 10." Sheila said.

10 minutes later Sheila and Michael walked into her office.

"Okay, I met with the director. The equipment he needs is expensive to rent. I checked on buying it and the cost doubled. But if we need to rent this again in the future, we'd end up eventually spending more. What I propose is taking the smallest rental room and converting it to a movie theater room. Then the guests could enjoy it when it's not rented out. The upgrade would give an extra incentive to choose this resort. It may interest other movie crews. It would also increase the resort value." Tamera explained.

"Not to mention we hardly rent that room out due to the size. Most parties require larger space." She added.

"Sounds interesting." Michael said.

"We could set up the large screen. It will have equipment that can handle multiple social media, like Netflix, and it can handle DVDS, and professional equipment. There would be nice reclining seats, about 20. And there will be extra fold-up chairs in case there are more people. Over in one corner will be a table for snacks and drinks, and in the other corner a large table they can sit at to discuss business." Tamera explained more.

"20 seems not enough, considering it's a film crew. Could we do 30?" Michael asked.

"Possible. I'll have to measure, but Mr. Smith assured me he only required 15 for his crew. But other crews may require more. The folding chairs I've checked on have 6 inch padded seats. They are very comfortable, and we'll use the same chairs around the table. They may spend hours, so we want their comfort to come first." Tamera answered.

"I think it makes sense to do it permanently. In the long run it would save money and draw in other businesses." Sheila replied.

"I agree. But I know you just want your own theater dear." Michael responded.

"You know me so well honey." Sheila said.

"Okay, I trust your judgment, make it happen. I would like to see 30 reclining seats through." Michael said.

"Okay, I'll see George the maintenance guy for measurements and to see what sizes we need. Then I'll get it all ordered." Tamera said.

"Carry on. Looks like you got it all under control." Michael replied.

Tamera has George to meet her. They do measurements, and she goes on her laptop to check on the seating and the tables. Seems 30 will work and still not overcrowd the room. Everything gets ordered.

"Crap it's 12:25!" Tamera said.

She hurries to the restaurant and is 5 minutes late.

"Tamera, fashionably late, I see." Richard grinned.

"Mr. Smith my apologies. I am being so unprofessional to make you wait. I assure you, I'm almost always on time or early." Tamera apologized.

"I'm just teasing. And please call me Rich." Richard smiled.

"Thank you for your understanding. I was caught up in measurements and ordering the equipment for your viewing room." Tamera explained.

"Ahh, so see, it's my fault. You're totally forgiven." Richard said, jokingly.

"You are too kind." Tamera went with it.

"We actually decided to make it into a permanent movie room. No pressure, but in case you'd like to rent it again and when it's not rented, our guests can enjoy it." Tamera explained to him.

"Wow, I'm impressed. I'll definitely take you up on that offer." Richard smiled.

"I can't believe you went through so much trouble for me." Richard said.

"No trouble. It makes good business sense. We rarely rent that room. It's big enough for what you need, but not large enough for most of the parties we book." She explained.

"Well, enough business talk. Tell me about yourself." Richard replied.

The waiter arrives, takes their orders, and leaves.

"There's not much to tell. Mom of 2 18 year olds who are at college now. My parents are alive and live in Virginia. I was married for 19 years and recently divorced. No siblings and I was a filing clerk for 14 years. I've known Sheila for 19 years and finally gave in to her offer of moving here to help with the resort. And that is my whole life. Just a normal life." Tamera explained.

"I would never have guessed you being the mom of 2 18 year olds! Twins?" Richard asked.

"Yes, twins, Brady and Paige. How old did you think I was?" She asked.

"Maybe 30 at most?" He questioned.

"You're good for the ego. I'm 37." She laughed.

Chapter 3 The Job

"I'm 39, single, never married, no kids. I was engaged once. She cheated, I caught her, the same story happened a million times." He said.

"Parents deceased, no siblings, and directing is my life." He added.

"You're very good at it." Tamera said.

"Thank you, so what do you love to do?" He asked.

"I love movies and reading. Yes, boring, I know." She laughed.

"Not at all, without people like you. I wouldn't have a job." He smiled.

"I have to say this. Please don't think of me as one of those people. But I love "Changed!" I've seen every single episode, multiple times. I have them all purchased on Vudu and Netflix." She blushed.

"Wow, you're gonna make me blush, thank you!" Richard smiled.

"Okay, I'll stop now." She smiled back.

"So you're the one? We got a report that some crazed fan had viewed our episodes a million times." He said.

"Okay, now you're making fun of me." She blushed.

"Not at all, I'm flattered and pleased." He laughed.

"So who's your favorite character?" He asked.

"Dax." She blushed.

"And you know his real name. So, if I introduce you, will you go all fan girl on him?" He asked.

"Honestly? I'd probably pass out." Tamera said.

"Dax's a good guy. I'll make sure I'm close to catching you if you pass out." He smiled.

"Well shit, she's into Dax and she's exactly his type. Maybe the age difference will deter her. I've just decided to stay a few more days, I can tell she's attracted to me." He thought.

Lunch went great and Rich asked her to join him for dinner. They had dinner and lunch Saturday and Sunday. He left on Monday. He was returning on Thursday before the crew to check on the room. The equipment arrived on Wednesday, which was cutting it short. They hired some extra contractors to work and get it done. On Thursday, a little after 11am, there was a knock on her door.

"Come in." She replied.

"It's your favorite director." Richard walked in.

"Rich!" She smiled.

He walks in, and she stands. He kisses her cheek and she blushes.

"Please have a seat. Let me update you. So, the equipment didn't get here until yesterday. We hired extra guys to get it done. The finishing touches won't be done until Friday mid-afternoon. But it will be ready by Friday night." She explained.

"That's not a problem. So quit stressing, we actually don't need it until Saturday. Dax had a family emergency and won't arrive until Saturday morning." He said.

"I'm sorry to hear that. I hope everything is, okay?" She said.

"Yes, it will be. It just delayed him a day." He replied.

"Well, if you like, we can go see the progress so far?" She asked.

"Lead the way." He answered.

"So in that corner will be the snacks and drinks. There will be a small refrigerator beside it. In this corner will be the large table and chairs for you to sit at to discuss business. I went with 30 reclining seats. And we have 30 folding. There will be 20 seats at the table and the other 10 will be in the closet."

"Wow, this is amazing. And the electronic equipment?" He asked.

"I went with all your specs and added more for others to use. They can log in to their accounts like Netflix, Vudu, Hulu, etc., DVDs, and flash drives can also be used. As well as your professional recording equipment." She explained.

"Wow! You're amazing. Can I hire you as my personal assistant?" He smiled.

"No, sorry. I'm very happy here." She declined.

"My loss." He frowned.

"So lunch and dinner?" He asked.

"Sure." She answered.

Author time out.

So I saw another of my favorite authors do this and thought it was so amazing. I wanted to copy her a little. I hope she takes it as a compliment.

"Hey author?" Dax said.

"Yes?" I answered.

"I think your readers would like to know what my movie is about." Dax replied.

"Oh really? Whose story is this?" I asked.

"Mine, of course." He laughed and winked.

"Fine! Changed is about a werewolf family. The head of the family is Jerry. He lost his real family and over the years when he would rescue someone, he would bite them and change them to make them a permanent part of his family. There are 2 sons, Dax and Jake, and one daughter, Lainey. There are a few others, but these are the main characters. They have enemies and love stories etc. it's very interesting to watch. Love, action, drama, villains, what's not to love!"

"Thanks for explaining darling." Dax said.

I rolled my eyes.

"I saw that." Dax said.

Now back to the story.

"I see you have caught the eye of a certain director." Sheila said.

"We are just acquaintances. He hates to eat alone." Tamera said.

"Tell me you're not that naïve?" Sheila replied.

"Now, why would he be interested in me? He's gorgeous, rich, famous, and could have his pick. I'm fluffy, divorced, and a mom to 2 18-year-olds." Tamera explained.

"Why do you sell yourself short? You're beautiful inside and out. So, you don't have a perfect model body. So, you have kids, big deal. A lot of people love extra cushion, and kids. Some people can never have kids!" Sheila said.

"I'm sorry. I know you guys struggled for 18 years to have kids. I just don't feel worthy. I'm super self-conscious about my weight. But I'm working on it." She replied.

"I know, but you need to mentally work on it as well." Sheila responded.

"I'll try." Tamera said.

"So, to change the subject. How excited are you about meeting your crush?" Sheila asked.

"Terrified!" Tamera said.

The next day, the room is ready and the cast arrives. Rich is having them all check in and then meet in the room.

"Okay everyone, I'd like you to meet Tamera. She's the events' manager here. She created this room for us." Richard introduced.

"Tamera meet Lainey." Richard introduced them.

"Nice to meet you." Lainey said.

"I'm so honored to meet you. You've got the best role." Tamera said.

"Oh I like her, Richie." Lainey smiled.

"This is Jerry." Richard said.

"So nice to meet you. I have to admit sometimes I hate your character. He's a real hard ass at times." Tamera replied.

"Yeah, that makes two of us! Some of the roles get on my nerves." Jerry chuckled.

"And this is Jake." Richard said.

"Very nice to meet you." Tamera replied.

"Nice to meet you." Jake said back.

Rich introduces her to a few of the crew members. Then they all go to their rooms. They are all meeting for dinner.

Later at dinner.

"So is everything good with Dax? He got his family thing sorted out?" Lainey asked.

"Yes, all sorted. He arrives in the morning." Richard responded.

"Lucky us." Jake replied.

"So Tamera, how long have you worked here?" Jerry asked.

"About a month, what gave it away?" Tamera laughed.

"Your southern accent. What part are you from?" Jerry asked.

"Virginia." She responded.

"Lovely state." Jerry said.

"You have a family?" Lainey asked.

"Yeah, my mom and dad. And I have 2 18 year olds in college." Tamera answered.

"What were you 15 when you had them?" Jake said.

"Jake!" Richard warned.
