Roselyn's POV

At the Valley Pack

I was running so fast in the forest because my wolf, Rain, needed to calm down. Rain was so angry, a pregnant lady in the pack was in labour and I was trying to help her like I was trained to. Atlas, Gregory, her mate, doesn't want me to touch his newborn after I helped deliver her. "Roselyn I really appreciate your help so far but I don't want you touching my newborn, please I do not want her to have the same fate as you!" Gregory muttered. "Greg you know it's not like I can transfer my matelessness to your baby!" I would have you know at least to the best of my knowledge that not having met one's mate isn't contagious. It's not the flu! I screamed. While pulling the gloves off my hands and the scrub I was putting on, I dropped it at the bin, and dashed out of the room with tears streaming down my eyes. When Greg first arrived at my office, I initially believed he was my friend and assumed he had enough faith in me because he asked me to oversee his mate's labor. I was unaware that he only came to me after he had been told that his mate's pregnancy had so many complications. Since I was the one who left this pack and traveled round the world to find my mate and while doing so I studied more on medicine, I was the best the pack had to offer in terms of medical care. So he had no other choice but to come meet me. "If we are good enough to birth his pup why can't we be good enough just to hold her for a few seconds" Rain growled in my head and it was causing me headaches. "Rain can you tone your anger down a little" I mindlink to her. Rain was seething and seeing red because it was an insult to my authority. I'm first a beta's daughter before a doctor, and so by lineage, I have beta blood running in my veins and I'm above him. It's an insult for a guard to talk to me like this. Rain carried us further into the woods, and I allowed myself to sink into the furthest depth of my mind as I gave Rain control. Time had passed but I hardly noticed. I drifted off as Rain hunted and continued running deep in the forest. I finally came to my senses when I saw the pack's clinic nearby. I took control from Rain and shifted back to my human form. I searched for clothes where we stashed them and walked towards the clinic. Something like a ball ran smack at me at the door of the clinic, and I looked down to see Aria with tears in her eyes. She must have lost her mom while playing around in the clinic. I picked her up so we could go look for her mom. "Aria come down this moment and leave that witch," Clara said with her eyes glaring at me like she wanted to swallow me up If she had the power. Clara walked towards my direction, yanked her daughter from me, and hissed while giving me the stinking eye. " I... I saw her crying and I was"... I tried explaining to her. "I don't need you to help me with my child. Please find a solution to your problem first, before helping people who don't need the help" Clara stated while hissing. I felt so embarrassed. This wasn't the first time pack mates were embarrassing me because I haven't met my mate. I walked towards my office, opened the door, and walked to my chair. I dropped my head down on the table and wept like a baby. Why me Moon Goddess? What have I done to deserve this pain? I don't even participate in pack running again, and that's because everyone avoids me like a plague. I'm slowly falling into depression and my wolf is only hanging onto a thread due to anger unless we would have both fallen deep into depression. After a few hours, I walked out of my office to the Alpha's office. Knooor, Knoor... "Come in!" Alpha Rooke said. "Oh, Rosie, to what do I owe this visit," Alpha Rooke spoke after checking who came into his office. "Alpha Rooke, I would like for you to transfer me to another pack. I can't take the loneliness and pain anymore" I said. "Okay Rosie I will prepare your transfer letter to a new pack" Alpha Rooke said "Rosie cheer up, you could even meet your mate in a new pack," Alpha Rooke said while filling out some papers. "Thank you Alpha, I would like to take my leave," I said while closing the Alphas' door. After a week Today is the D-day for me to move my stuff to the new pack I'm being transferred to. No one except my parents escorted me out of the pack. I really felt sad, if it were to be another person leaving the pack, everyone would have come to celebrate the person leaving. I closed the door to my car and closed my eyes to rest a little till we got to the other pack. We eventually got to the Riverside pack. I was directed to Alpha Declan's office. Lavender scent with a sweet smell filled the air and it invaded my nose as I was trying to open the Alpha's door. My wolf was staring in my head. Mate!!! I saw my mate but he didn't even behave as if he recognized me. He even introduced me to his fiancée. His chosen mate... "Dr. Roselyn, welcome to Riverside Pack." he said while stretching his hands. Immediately his hands touched mine, it was like I was electrocuted, I felt the spark from my hands and it moved to the sole of my feet. "Meet my fiancée, Mary". Alpha Declan said after he yanked his hands from mine after a while when it looked like I wasn't going to release his hands. She beamed after he spoke and also stretched her hand to offer me a handshake. I shook her hand and the hatred that brewed in my heart from just looking at her was too much. Rain was whimpering in my head. It took us a long time to meet our mate and Declan has another mate already. I felt like a glass house which was shattering slowly as stones were being thrown at it. My heart was breaking slowly and my wolf was dying slowly. "Tyler will take you to your room," Alpha Declan said. After Some Days I woke up to a sharp pain in my gut. It felt like I was being cut from the inside out. My body temperature is very high, sweat dripped down my body. I was shivering even when my body was so hot. My wolf "rain" was whimpering in my head and funnily enough, this wasn't the first time I am having such symptoms. My bastard mate was at it again with his chosen mate. Words can't describe the pain I'm feeling by being betrayed by the one who was meant to love me. I ran to the toilet to vomit my guts out and came back to lie down. After some time the pain goes away. I know you might be thinking why did the pain leave? It means Declan and Mary are done having sex. Those people fuck like bunnies and I'm the one left with the pain. Since I can't fall asleep back unfortunately l need to prepare for the day. At The Pack Clinic "Dr. Roselyn good morning, you look radiant" Mary gushed. Sometimes I think Mary's head was dropped at birth, because how can I look radiant when I didn't even get 5 hours of sleep for like a long while? Rain is growling in my head to bite Mary's ass. But I dare not because that piece of shit I call a mate would have my head. Like how do you even get feelings for someone who isn't your mate? Well, Declan is the exception. "Oh thank you, Mary, I must say you look stunning and beautiful for a pregnant woman" I said. Mary's really glowing and with Declan by her side, they look like a "power couples". So, Mary, you're here for the ultrasound. Let's start with the business of the day. Mary and Declan were smiling during the ultrasound. I was so pissed like this son of a bitch likes seeing me sad, because why would I always be the one to do the ultrasound while we have other pack doctors in here. It's like he wants me to make a slight mistake and get thrown out of this pack. The problem is I do want to be out of here but I'm not sure my heart would be able to take the pain. Rain goes Gaga without seeing this guy in twenty-four hours. I know it's torture being here but I'm very sure it will be a bigger torture leaving this pack where my mate is. For fuck sake, it took me years before I even saw this motherfucker I call my mate. I'm thirty-five years old, I'm ready to beg him to take me back and reject Mary. The reason why I'm waiting each and every day is for them to have an argument and split. I don't mind taking care of Mary's child. I'm that love-sick, yet Declan treats me anyhow. My prayer every day is for Mary to find her mate. I cleaned up Mary's stomach with some wipes and told her she could go. Her pup is doing fine. Declan turned back and said to Mary. Declan walks out of my office banging on the door on his way out. I really must have offended the Moon Goddess before I was born, because why am I facing all this? I am the only one who found her mate very late and yet he has no feelings whatsoever for me. Others get their mate around the age of eighteen. Yet I'm here at the age of thirty-five with my mate planning his future with another person. I packed my stuff, it was time to go home. I'm done for the day. I opened my door to find Declan in my room sitting on the chair. "Alpha Declan what brings you here?" I asked with my eyes glaring at him. "Well I have come to check your neck, my wolf isn't happy I squeezed your neck so hard". Declan said. "Well my esophagus is still working and I'm breathing fine, which means I'm okay so you can take your leave Alpha" I said. "I just need to check your neck to assure my wolf, he said". He played so much mind games but most times before we see his face, we hear the rattling of his keys. He made my mother go through so much hardship. He would open the door of the dungeon and forcefully strip her of her clothes then hose her down with very cold water, as if that wasn't enough when she was shivering all over and her teeth begins to chatter due to the cold, he brings out a thick wire that would split her back the moment it touches her. She was always groaning and screaming. She became a shell of her former self. She wasn't the strong Luna she used to be. He flogged her twice daily as if it were a dosage. I wasn't left behind, he made sure I was beaten terribly too. Mother always tried to accept my share of the cane. "Nicholas, look at me, love only makes you weak." he would say while torturing my mother. "Nicholas Mates are burdens on the neck." he would say "They are your weak points!" He always hammered those words into my head. The reason why he calls mates burdens is because my father, the former Alpha king, died in his arms because Matteo kidnapped my mother and had somebody inject her dose of wolfbane periodically. Because mates feel each other's emotions, especially pain or massive joy. My father was in pain and going nuts while he was fighting Matteo, the distraction got him killed. Father caught Matteo trafficking women and children and he banished from the pack instead of killing him. Matteo later came back to wage a war against father with his armies and he killed father. The suffering and torturing was too much, especially for me so my mother devised a plan to seduce Matteo that would make him lenient towards me. It worked but it was quite unfortunate that she got pregnant and since we were mostly always locked up and there's no way to buy the after day pill, she was forced to carry the baby to term. "Every time I begged him to leave my mama alone anytime he came to the dungeon, he dealt her a bigger blow to the face. Mama was bloody even before he was through. He thrived in breaking one's spirit, he wanted the Luna queen to submit and bow before him before he plans to sell her off. "Nicholas, this is how you treat a woman, they are animals and must be controlled!" Alpha Matteo said, he gave me a dirty slap for whimpering. The slap made me see stars and there was nothing mama could do. "Guards, someone should get clean clothes and give them to Rebecca" Alpha Matteo said after walking out of the dungeon. Mama gets new clothes after Alpha Matteo must have cut the ones she wore. Mama planned with a guard who was one of fathers most trusted guard to cause a distraction by causing a big fire which would distract other guards and we would be able to escape. We were able to run out of the dungeon but before we could escape through the forest some guards caught up with us and mama told me to carry Cecilia so she could fight the guards and buy us time . But it was quite unfortunate that I was still small and I couldn't carry Cecilia for long and I had to leave her behind.I promised myself to come back for her after I must have gotten stronger. After I stepped into the no man's land I felt the bond between my mother and I break and I knew instantly that she was dead, though I could still feel mine and Cecilia's bond. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Present "Alpha Matteo I challenge you for your title and it's to the last man standing." I said Matteo is so arrogant he looked at me from the head to the toes, thinking I was that skinny twelve years old he tortured. "I accept your challenge little boy, but Nicholas let me remind you, I killed your foolish father who tried to challenge me and you will also go down like him because it seems foolishness runs down your lineage. It's just a pity I will be killing Rebecca's precious son." Alpha Matteo said What Matteo didn't know was that I had a gang of my own, we were only six in number altogether but we were a band of misfits and not only that but two were vampires and the remaining three were a witch, a warlock and an Elf. We had already penetrated his pack very early and had slaughtered most of his guards. Matteo jumped down and immediately shifted to his wolf. A black wolf, he lungs for my throat and I immediately shifted to my wolf. We clashed into each other, Matteo gave me a big blow to my snout with his paws, and my wolf shaked its head and delivered a terrible blow to Matteo's throat. We were fighting for one more than 6 hours, we were both losing strength. Matteo's wolf lunged for my throat again, I bent low and within a twinkle of an eye my teeth were digging deep into his belly, his paws tried hitting me on my head before I let him go. I kept on biting him on his throat, shoulder, and his hind legs after I noticed he had lost a lot of blood. I delivered the deadly blow, my teeth clamped tightly to his throat before he could blink, I had ripped out his Jugular, pulling his spine out too. I saw his life drain, it was like a slo-mo. "Raaaaaaargh!!!!" I growled with Matteo's blood on my snout. Everyone watching the challenge fell to their knees. "Hear this today, I'm the new Alpha of the BloodMoon, all the old arche practices must be abolished, and there will no longer be men torturing or trafficking women and children whether you are of high standing or not." I shouted "I will see to it that anyone who disobeys me shall be put to death. There's no mercy!"I growled while my band of misfits were standing guard by my side. "A new dawn has began, spread the news around" I said "From this day forward women will be trained. Women will hold high positions also. Women who work will no longer have to give their money to their husbands or father, and if they must do so, it must be willingly. No man is greater than any woman, we are all equal!" I shouted There was dancing and rejoicing after my speech. Declan was at it again with Mary, they are busy fucking again. I noticed I was feeling my wolf that much again. Rain was falling into depression day by day and our only hope was for Declan to love us. Well, I'm on my way to the clinic, and guess what Mary is my first Patient. She's always happy and smiling, I wish I could just snuff that happiness from her every time I see her. "Good morning Roselyn," Mary said. "Good Morning Mary lay on the bed while I put on the ultrasound machine" I said, Declan didn't come along with her this time around. She laid down on the bed while I applied gel to her stomach and I moved the transductor around her stomach to scan hers and my mate pup. "That's my pup's heartbeat" She gushed. Rain was seething in my head and growling. I was trying to control my emotions while Mary was busy murmuring her nonsense. "Roselyn isn't she such a cute pup," Mary said. "Mary, we haven't even seen your pup's genitals," I said in a dull tone. "I know she's going to be a girl, that's what I told Declan, but Declan wants a baby boy, an heir," Mary said. "Roselyn!!! What do you think, what's the baby's gender" Mary asked. "That's where I'm trying to check with the transductor Mary," I said with a pained voice, Rain was still trying to take over control from me. "Let's claw out her face, especially that mouth she uses in sprouting out nonsense"! I could picture Rain crouching down like she wants to pounce on Mary. "She stole our mate and she's flaunting him to our face, it's like she's making a mockery of us" Rain said growling. Rain was spiraling down into deep depression and I know every minute we spent in this pack is killing us but leaving this pack out is also not possible. I don't think I can survive the heartache. "Rain stop growling!!! Can't you remember the incident that happened when we arrived at this pack initially," I said. Flashback Roselyn POV Someone was knocking at the door, I went to open the door and I was shocked to see Alpha Declan at the door. "Alpha...." I murmured "I have come here to inform you, Dr. Roselyn, that I have a fiancée and I love her so much, I do not want to break her heart," Alpha Declan said. "As you can see she is pregnant and she's my childhood friend and lover, we have gone a long way. I cannot see myself leaving Mary for a stranger, I know nothing about" Declan continued rambling his nonsense and my heart was just breaking the more. Rain was crouched down somewhere in my mind whimpering. We must have offended the Moon Goddess in our past life. "Like I was saying, Dr. Roselyn, I would have rejected you the moment you stepped your leg into this pack but I have heard of your skills, and I want the best for Mary during her childbearing process, so do not see me as your mate but Alpha while you are in my pack," Declan said. "But.... but... You rejecting me is like you are spitting out the Moon Goddess gift." I said "Look at you. Roselyn take a good look at yourself . You are old!!! Have you seen Mary, young, sweet and beautiful. You are twenty -eight!" Declan shouted "But you know that werewolves don't age like humans and I don't look a day older than eighteen to ordinary eyes," I said. "Roselyn I know you are old and fat and that is all that counts." Declan exclaimed. "I know I have curves at the right places and not fat as you said in a derogatory tone." I cried... "Just leave Mary alone and do not touch a strand of hair on her head." Declan said. "Just go! Goooooo!!! I hate you!!!!" I screamed. I dropped down to my knees, wrapping my hands around myself. My life is so pitiful. Selene must hate me... "Keep that animosity," Declan said while closing my door. Present I blanked for a moment, and Declan's hands were already wrapped around my throat, shutting my airflow. Actually, Rain took control over me while I was reminiscing about the past and tried to tear Mary's throat out. "I reject you Roselyn Woodsman as my mate.... Get the fuck out of my fucking Pack and out of my fucking life!" Declan screamed as he slashed me on the back before he threw me towards the door. My back hit the door and I could feel my ribs breaking... His precious mate, Mary, was busy whimpering... Who the hell gave me this destiny?

Valley pack

I'm back at the valley pack. I'm so sure my Alpha isn't going to be happy to see me. I'm like a curse in this pack. I walked slowly to the Alpha's office. "Roselyn, you can come in." Alpha Rooke said. "So I'm going to be as fast as possible, Roselyn you cannot stay in this pack, and darling it is not because I hate you but you are seen as a plague here. It's not like anyone would walk into your office for any medical reasons." Alpha Rooke said Yeah, that's my Alpha, always straight to the point. Alpha Rooke hates beating around the bush. With him, you know you get the message fast. I was actually expecting these words from him but what I wasn't expecting was the next statement he said after these. "Thankfully, a new Alpha has just arisen in the BloodMoon pack and they are in need of a pack doctor. Just to let you know I have forwarded your name to them, and you are to transfer to that pack." Alpha Rooke said. "But but .... Alpha I think I should have a say in this decision." I replied "We both know in this pack that nobody would be coming to you for any assistance. I spoke to your father, and he's okay with the idea." Alpha Rooke said. "Roselyn you know I consider you a daughter and I know leaving this pack would be better for you. Starting fresh again, where no one really knows you. I see the problems you're facing in this pack, I can only force them to be civil towards you, I can't force the normal affection and care they should show you." Alpha Rooke spoke with pity in his eyes. "I know what's best for you, that's why I'm transferring you Rosie." Alpha Rooke said. "Okay Alpha, when do I leave for the BloodMoon pack" "Rosie, it's only a week you have to take your leave," Alpha Rooke said. I left the Alpha's office and I met my father at home with an upside down newspaper. "Dadddddd I don't know why you would conspire with the Alpha to transfer me from this pack. Dad why!" I screamed Rosie, this pack isn't helping you. Darling you are holding on by a strand. Do you think I don't know your wolf is dying? I can hardly feel her Rosie!" My father said, I collapsed and dad held me tight to pacify me. "Baby I know you are going through so much but you can overcome all this" Dad said. I'm going to elect my beta, gamma, and deltas. So if you know you can take on that position you will have to come out. It's a challenge, for anyone to tap out first. Now I don't mind females fighting and winning these positions. This is a new era for the BloodMoon pack. I said while walking to the pack house, on my way to my office a tall pink woman obstructed my view. Cecilia said with her shoulders dropping down. I inhaled the air around me and my wolf took in her scent, she truly smelled like my mother. "Oh Ceecee I will never forget you, I have only been preoccupied. My main aim was to come to save you too. I need this pack to be in full action", I said. Oh brother I thought you hated me so much you left me in this pack, Cecilia said while wiping her tears with her left hand. Do you still remember our handshake, I asked, that signifies that I will always protect you CeeCee. We shake hands like we used to do when CeeCee was small, and I felt my lips Well, I would like to fight for the position of your delta, I would like to be among your most respected circle to fight alongside you on the battlefield and be your Luna's guard when you get your mate" Cecilia said. It came as a shock to me when this lady introduced herself as a doctor from the Valley pack, only for me to raise my head and my wolf screamed MATE!!! in my head. She must not have recognized me as her second chance mate because there wasn't any glint of her wolf looking through her eyes. That's good because I know there is no love in me to offer to her. I didn't even want a mate to start with. She could be used against me to stop me from avenging my parents. All Matteo's supporters must go down the pit through my hands. Doctor Roselyn, I'm Alpha Nicholas welcomed to the BloodMoon pack" I said while stretching my hands towards her. "You will resume duty tomorrow and I will also need you to train a few of the ladies here on basic medical care methods. Most of them haven't stepped out of this pack" I said. She was looking lifeless, I don't even want to wonder what she has been through, I just need her to do her job." "Can you do that?" I said. "Yes, Alpha...." Roselyn murmured expecting him to give her his name but Nicholas ignored her. "Alpha is good enough, you can go," Nicholas said. She was still standing where she was after I had dismissed her. She was behaving like a broken record. "Hey, Dr. Roselyn you can go" l screamed. "Alpha Nicholas, I won't disappoint you, but if I'm going to train some of your females, I will need them to be respectful towards me," Roselyn said. "Show them respect, and you will get respect in return," I said. "One last thing Dr. Roselyn everyone trains in this pack, so be ready tomorrow at 5 am, failure to do that will attract punishment," I said "But I'm a doctor, a pack doctor's duty is to treat people and not help break their bones" Roselyn objected. "Well you are in a new pack where we are interested in all packmates, everyone must be able to fend for themselves here," I said, "I thought you're a betas' daughter, so why the complaint," I said. "I haven't trained before, instead I wait to take care of the injured wolves," Roselyn said. "See you at the training ground by 5 am Dr. Roselyn," I dismissed her. "Oh and don't come late," I said, as she was passing through the door. The Training Ground Everyone was fighting and tackling each other or trying to, only Roselyn looked lost in their midst. My trusted bands of misfits weren't in the training ground because obviously only one of them would singlehanded beat everyone on this training ground to stupor. I blew my whistle to signal them to stop, "everyone stop we are going to pick a partner we are all training with" I said Everyone picked a partner, only Roselyn looked left alone because she hadn't made any friends, from nowhere Cecilia held her hands. Roselyn really stuck out like a sore thumb and it was obvious that she didn't know how to fight, how she survived all this years I really don't know because a wolf in his teenage years could beat the shit out of her. I know she wouldn't be getting the respect she so much needs because I for one don't even have respect for her. Respect should be earned, and so far, she's doing a poor job about it. "I will be your partner," Cecilia said, Roselyn just nodded her head looking lost like a headless chicken. Roselyn saw her ass landing on the floor like it was an instrument for sweeping the floor. That's how the game works" Cecilia said while dusting the dirt on her sleeve. "Stop chatting and continue training." I screamed. And just like the first time, Roselyn's ass kisses the floor this time with her neck bent at another weird angle. After every ass-kissing, Cecilia stretches her hands to Roselyn, for her to grab it. Then she proceeds to land her ass on the ground again. At the end of the training, Roselyn left with numerous bruises circling her body. "It's nice meeting you, I'm Cecilia '' Cecilia said while stretching her hand for a handshake. "I'm Roselyn but most people call me Rosie for short" Roselyn murmured. "I hate this pack" Roselyn exclaimed while walking towards her room. "Get used to it", Alpha Nicholas said as he walked past her. "The Moon Goddess must really hate me, because why are they torturing me in this pack, all in the name of training? Even Rain has deserted me due to the fact she couldn't take the rejection." Alpha Nicholas went upstairs to wake his band of misfits, they really needed to talk. He got to his office because that was where he left them, he met four of them except Liam. "Ash, where is Liam? You guys know quite alright he can't control himself for 48 hours after so much bloodshed," Nicholas screamed and all of them jumped up scared because they knew Liam shouldn't be left unsupervised after so much bloodshed. He hasn't been able to control his blood thirst well. He's still on the brink of losing his humanity. They all left the office quickly to go look for Liam. They got to the forest part where there was no one patrolling that side because the guards that would have been patrolling that side were killed yesterday during the ambush. Before they could even run deep into the forest, they could already see body parts littered on the ground and immediately they knew Liam was at work because that was his style. He doesn't just go for the kill, he plays with his kill. After he must have severed the person's body part while fighting them, then he goes for the kill. He thrived to see the fear in his victims' eyes before he drained them. "Rogues have penetrated this pack and our only saving grace was that they encountered Liam the devil (that was the name they called him when he was in his bloodlust mode), because they would have killed a few members of this pack before we would have noticed," Nicholas said to them while he instructed two of his gangs to go back and keep the pack members save. "Ash and Elijah you would have to go back and make sure everyone is safe in the pack." "Ash, make sure the doctor doesn't leave your sight. A weakling is stronger than she is and that is the only pack healer we have." Nicholas said to them before they left. "The rest of us would go and check what is going on," Nicholas said. They ran and met Liam drenched in blood with about sixty more wolves spread across him, and so many body parts littered around him. But what caught their attention was a little girl who was placed on a branch on top of a very tall tree and she was shedding tears. Daphne ran while dodging the rogue wolves to go carry the child. She got to the tree and jumped, her left hand grabbed a branch which she used to propel her body, and jumped to the branch holding the child. She lifted the child and jumped down. Immediately Hector cleared the way for her, he instantly spelled a branch that he used in hitting one wolf on the neck and bent down slightly to cut the second wolf's Jaguar as it jumped up to bite Daphne, before the wolf's teeth could make contact with Daphne's leg, it's head had already been severed by Hector. Nicholas was still watching the whole scenario play, he knew that Liam could handle the whole thing by himself but unlike before, now he has to think about the welfare of his pack members. Nicholas didn't bother changing into his wolf, he only changed to his wolf to fight Alpha Matteo so his pack members wouldn't be so scared of him. Even while he was fighting Matteo, he was restraining himself and also fighting the wolf in his head. Nicholas jumped into the fight and started severing the heads of the wolves. Nicholas was severing heads while Liam was still in his bloodlust mode and he was drunk on blood. Liam would sever one arm of a wolf and go ahead and sever another wolf's arm. Since he's a vampire and he is very fast, he could sever body parts within a twinkle of an eye and move on to his next victim. Within an hour Nicholas and Liam had already killed the remaining sixty rogue wolves left. Liam killed his last victim and he jumped on Nicholas, he got so close to his neck but Nicholas stretched his arms and caught his neck in the nick of time. This time the real battle had just begun. Liam's eyes were blood red before when he was killing the rogues but now it had already turned black, his vampire side had already conquered him. His vampire side saw Nicholas as an equal to him. So he was ready to fight him till the end. Nicholas could see that Liam had already fallen into the madness phase. "Liam you can still fight this, you are stronger than that, don't let your vampire side control you" he growled. Liam threw a punch at Nicholas, but Nicholas anticipated his move and moved back a few inches before the blow could touch him. "Liam you are my brother, brothers do not fight each other" "Nicholas I don't want to fight you, I just want your blood!" Liam shrugged. "Aren't you tired of blood Liam? You should be drunk on blood right now!" Liam bared his teeth at Nicholas. "That's the problem, Nick, unlike you, I love the taste of blood, it makes me high!" "But brother you know what makes me higher, it's the competition" he snarled. "I love it when my victims fight, I thrive on their fear and the beat of their heart, the look in their eyes when they know they've met their doom!" Liam laughed. He ran towards Nicholas again and they continued fighting. Begrudgingly Nicholas allowed his gaze to wander over the battleground. Everywhere was bloody. "But I do not have emotions that quicken your bloodlust. I'm not scared of you, not even one bit! Why do you fight me?" Liam licked his fangs and his bottom lips before replying. "Nicholas it is that emotion I want. I need you to be scared and frightened. That's the catch. You are a big counterpart but one I can win." They continued fighting and after a while Nicholas replied to Liam once his fangs were close to his neck. "Maybe you could have won me, if you were still thinking and not being controlled by your lust for blood." "You lose," Liam said and he bit Nicholas on his throat sucking his blood with the plan to drain him. "But you lose brother," Nicholas said and within a twinkle of an eye Liam was on the floor, he had collapsed. What happened to Liam?
