The company party atmosphere is about to kick into high gear tomorrow night. Camellia Shannon Philips is looking forward to the event where her husband, Ronan Samuel Philips, will be honored by other businessmen. She had to take a quick flight from New York to São Paulo. All of Samuel's success was due to the intervention of Camelia, the highest shareholder in the Philips Company.
"Why isn't my name here?" said Camelia as she looked at the table reserved for the Philips family.
There was no Camelia's name as Mrs. Philips but rather, the name Simona Laila, who was her husband's secretary, next to Ronan Samuel Philips' chair.
"I ask you. Why isn't my name on this table!" Camelia snapped at the workers setting the table. How could they not know that Camelia would be present? Camelia always came to any celebration, even on a business trip.
"Mr. Philips asked us to change it, Mrs."
"Samuel?" repeated Camelia with a slight chuckle. "No way. Simona is just his secretary; she shouldn't be with Samuel, my husband," she continued.
"If not here. Where should I sit?" said Camelia, looking around the table and searching among the names attached to each table.
"Mrs. Would you like us to change the position? We'll change it to your name," one of the hotel workers suggested to Camelia.
"Should you ask again about this? It may all be a mistake, but change it immediately. I don't want this mistake repeated," continued Camelia, still kindly. She stepped into the elevator before her feet stepped away from the ballroom.
When the elevator opened, Camelia's eyes caught a familiar sight. A man opened the car door for a woman; then the body also got into the same car.
"Samuel?"
Camelia was sure it was her husband. Without thinking, he dashed into his car; Camelia drove quickly, following the movement of her husband's car in front of her.
"Who did he go with?" muttered Camelia, still monitoring the movement of Samuel's car, turning towards an elite residential area, which was their main mansion.
Camelia parked her car away from the mansion. She let Samuel enter the mansion with the woman first, and then Camelia came. Her chest thundered, her heart racing rapidly. Her mind was already imagining things about her husband.
After waiting for almost thirty minutes, Camelia drove her car through the gate; the faces of the servants looked frightened. It was like there was something to hide, but Camelia still wanted to make sure with her two eyes.
"M-Mrs. When will you be back," said the maid nervously as she greeted Camelia's arrival.
"Where is Mr. Samuel?" added Camelia, who didn't care about the maid question.
"Sir is upstairs, Mrs. to be exact --"
Camelia's feet stepped quickly up the stairs to the upper floor. Camelia struggled with her emotions; she tried to look calm. In front of her eyes was the door to her and Samuel's main suite. Peeking slightly through the open doorway, Camelia smiled discordantly as she saw with both eyes Samuel making out with Simona Laila! Simona sat on top of Samuel's body, almost entirely naked, while Samuel was left with only his cloth pants. The sound of lips smacking against each other was highly disgusting.
Camelia did not deserve this treatment. Ronan Samuel did not earn to repay Camelia's kindness with betrayal; Samuel was just a poor man who did not know the shame. She gave everything to Samuel. Love, wealth, and body are prioritized over her. Even after being helped by Camelia's family, he had an affair with Simona Laila, a snake woman who was allowed because of Samuel's compassion.
Camelia's chest thundered even more as the sight of Samuel and Simona's affair angered her.
"Samuel. When are you going to get rid of Camelia?"
"As soon as possible."
The voice rang out very clearly in Camelia's hearing. Camelia witnessed it all: Samuel and the shameless woman making love on her bed. The sacred bed that Camelia and Samuel usually shared.
"Samuel!" Camelia shouted, opening the door with tears streaming down her cheeks.
Simona's amused laughter was paused. They immediately panicked when they saw Camelia's sudden arrival. Camelia was still staring intently at the two shameless, disgusting people showing innocent faces.
"Camelia."
"Don't touch me! D*mn it!" snapped Camelia, swatting away Samuel's hand.
"You and that disgusting woman. Get out of my house!" shouted Camelia, pointing at the faces of Samuel and Simona, who were covering their innocent face.
Instead of listening to her words, Samuel and Simona laughed loudly in front of Camelia's face. Simona stood with the blanket, hugging Samuel from the side; they made out in front of Camelia as if nothing had happened.
"You're the one who got out of this house! You've got nothing left, Camelia! You're poor and disgusting," Samuel said with a smirk.
Camelia laughed discordantly. No, there was no way she was poor. Camelia was the heiress and had a fortune that would not run out for seven generations; it was nonsense to hear Samuel say that she had fallen into poverty.
"Nonsense, Samuel. You're a shameless poor man! I shouldn't have helped you that time," Camelia retorted, still laughing loudly in front of Samuel.
Samuel growled as his hands grabbed Camelia by the neck and pushed her body against the wall. His gaze blazed with anger, strangling Camelia's neck without caring about the tears that continued to flow from the woman's face.
"Die. Die Camelia, I hate your arrogant attitude! It would help if you died," Samuel added, continuing to choke Camelia until she was out of breath.
Camelia tried to rebel, but it was difficult. Her chest was tight; tears kept flowing down her eyes as her gaze continued to stare hatefully at Samuel's face.
Samuel released the choke on Camelia's neck. The woman's body fell to the floor limply.
"Since you already know everything about Simona and me, There is no choice but to kill you, Camelia," Samuel said in a cold and piercing tone.
Samuel accepted the golf club from his girlfriend, Simona. Without thinking, he hit Camelia's head with the golf club not only once but repeatedly until fresh blood flowed from Camelia's head.
"Camelia Shanon, I have hated you for a long time. I won't apologize; you've ruined my happiness! You're an arrogant women; I had to be forced to marry you. After this, I will live quietly without you." Samuel laughed with his lover.
"Where are we taking Camelia's body?" Simona asked Samuel.
"You can rest easy. I have prepared the most beautiful funeral for Shannon's beloved daughter."
***
It was a cold night. The sound of waves crashing sounded like a lullaby; a car driven by Samuel stopped at the top of a steep ravine. He got out with a cold face, accompanied by his girlfriend, who had kissed Samuel's lips.
"Wait here, sweetheart," he said to Simona.
Samuel opened the trunk of the car and took out Camelia's body wrapped in a blanket. Samuel roughly placed Camelia's body on the rocks; the sound of the waves and the strong wind was icy.
"Honey, are you sure you want to dump Camelia's body here?" Simona touched Samuel's hand even though she hated Camelia. But Simona still pitied the poor woman who had to die because of her arrogance.
"Do you feel guilty for her?" Samuel replied, looking deeply into Simona's eyes. "There's no time to feel guilty for her. She's dead anyway! We'll get married soon after and get insurance from her death," Samuel continued, reminding them of their goal.
Simona's eyes lit up at the word money. She nodded and agreed to all of Samuel's proposals when suddenly it started raining, and lightning could be heard beating in the sky. Simona helped Samuel tie a stone as a weight to Camelia's leg so that no one would find Camelia's body.
Samuel and Simona are demons in the form of angels. For the sake of wealth and the throne, they were willing to take the lives of others. They don't care about God's destiny; for them, God doesn't exist! They will become a wealthy couple. Samuel will be a billionaire, and Simona will be the queen accompanying Ronan Samuel Philips.
"Goodbye dear, go to hell with your parents. The two of us will follow after we've had our fill of traveling to heaven on earth," was the last word Samuel said after pushing Camelia's body into the ravine and falling to the bottom of the sea.
Simona hugged Samuel tightly as if they were celebrating. They kissed each other like an inseparable couple, after which they both got back into the car. Leaving the scene without feeling guilty, tomorrow will be a new drama for Samuel and Simona, who will engineer Camelia's death.
Camelia was still alive. It was just that her body was weak; she heard all the vile words from the mouths of the two demons in human form. Her chest ached even more as the water supply drowned her body; the cold water seemed to send Camelia Shannon Philips into this cruel life.
The honorable princess had to get such a painful betrayal from the man she loved with all her heart. Dead, though she would die many times, Camelia vowed to be born again! Camelia swore that she would avenge all the unbearable pain, as many times as tears were falling down her cheeks.
"God, I want to live! To avenge all the pain of my heart," she thought with the pain at the end of her life.
Camelia opened her eyes, staring at her surroundings with a hand reflexively touching her head. She gazed at her surroundings, realizing she was in a car, which was strange.
"Elisa!"
Camelia faintly heard someone call out Elisa's name. Suddenly, her head turned towards the window, where a man was trying to break the windshield.
The glass broke after the third attempt. Camelia was too weak to speak; she just stayed silent as the car door was forcibly opened. Then her body was grabbed and into the arms of a man she didn't recognize at all; Camelia's mind at this time only remembered what Samuel had done to her.
Taylor carried his wife's body into the car. Felix continued to stare at Elisa's face, his fingers pressing the wound on her head with a handkerchief.
"No, no, no, please hold on, Elisa. I'm sorry I came late," Felix muttered shakily.
****
"Die! Die, Camelia, you must die! Because I hate your arrogant attitude!"
Camelia fretted in her sleep, her hands clenched tightly. Tears continued to fall from her eyes, which were still tightly closed.
"Elisa, hey, what's wrong with you." Felix put down the iPad in his hand, moved closer to Elisa, and rubbed her cheek lightly.
Felix's gray eyes met Eliza's beautiful hazel eyes. There were still Cristal-like tears in her eyes; Felix's hand continued to caress the top of her head.
"Eliza. It's me, Felix. Are you okay?" Felix asked when he saw Eliza silently staring at him without saying anything.
"Elisa? Who is Elisa, and who are you?" repeated Camelia with furrowed brows.
Just like Elisa, Felix was also confused by his wife's question. Instead of answering, Felix's hand quickly pressed the button on the side of the bed.
"Calm down. The Doctor will be here soon," Felix continued briefly.
Within minutes, the Doctor and nurse arrived to treat Elisa, who looked strange as she awoke from her fainting spell. Felix didn't take his eyes off Elisa; he was worried beyond belief about the state of his wife, Elisa. Never had Felix been this panicked; Elisa had managed to mess with his heart even though they were married without love.
"Mr. Taylor, can we talk outside," the Doctor said.
Felix nodded as he glanced at Elisa lying back down, and their eyes met in the air for a few seconds.
"What happened to my wife? Did she have a memory lapse?" Felix asked, immediately bombarding the Doctor with questions.
"Forgive us. But as the accident to Mrs. Taylor's head was fatal, the patient indeed has amnesia. We have not been able to confirm whether or not Miss Elisa's amnesia is temporary," the Doctor explained. "In the meantime, please stay by the patient's side," the Doctor continued.
After hearing the Doctor's explanation, Felix went back to see Elisa. He thought Elisa had fallen asleep after being given the medicine, but it turned out that she was still awake and even kept throwing glances at him as if Felix was a stranger who should be wary.
"I thought you were asleep," Felix said, returning to the sofa near Elisa's bed. Picking up the iPad again, Felix's cold demeanor returned to Elisa. This was how Felix's attitude towards Elisa was indifferent, while his earlier worry was purely because he was panicking.
"No, no, no. I can't fall asleep, who are you?" replied Camelia trying to change her lying position to sitting. She stared deeply into the man's cold face, the slices of grey eyes still lingering in Camelia's mind, a handsome face with a firm jaw covered in fine hair. Camelia was honestly mesmerized by his good looks.
"I'm your husband, Jhonson Felix Taylor," he said, lifting his face slightly from the iPad.
"How is that possible!" said Camelia, shaking her head. She chuckled; she knew her husband was Ronan Samuel Philips, so why would a man claim to be her husband? Of course, it made no sense to Camelia.
"That's right. Sounds absurd. But that's the fact, Elisa. You are my wife in the eyes of the law and before God," Felix said flatly.
"Can you lend me your cell phone? I need to contact my secretary," added Camelia, opening her palms and asking for help from the man who claimed to be her husband.
Felix nodded and approached Elisa, reaching into the inside pocket of his jacket for his cell phone and handing it to her. I don't know whose secretary Elisa was referring to; his wife was a model, so it was doubtful that Elisa would have a secretary.
Camelia froze as the phone's black screen reflected someone else's face, which surprised her. And even more surprised when she opened the camera and saw his face. "Who? Whose body am I in?" Camelia thought, feeling her face.
"You feel strange about your face too?" asked Felix, seeing the strange thing Elisa was doing again.
"W-what happened to me?" Camelia turned to look at Felix's face.
"You had a single accident by hitting a road restriction. And the Doctor says you have amnesia; I hope it's temporary," Felix explained briefly to Elisa.
Wait! If Elisa was the owner of this body in an accident. And Camelia had died by being thrown into the ravine, so why was she now in Elisa's body? Then where would the honest Elisa be?
It couldn't be doubtful. Camelia shook her head, dropping the cell phone in her hand. She grabbed her hair and instantly felt dizzy after trying to remember everything that happened to her. Camelia was sure she had died at the bottom of the ravine, so why was she alive again? Had she been reborn?
"What year is it? And what country am I in," Camelia asked Felix again.
"2024. São Paulo."
The same year, the same country sounded even more absurd. But Camelia felt this was an opportunity she would take advantage of in this position. It must be the answer to the pain and injustice of her suffering.
Camelia turned her head as a warm feeling touched her palm. Felix's face was staring at her sadly, and at once, Camelia felt confused. Her brain couldn't work; how should she explain to Felix that currently inside Elisa's body was her?
"Felix is my husband. I'm sorry, I can't remember you."
Felix was silent as he heard Elisa recognize him as her husband. She had never said that during their three years of marriage, but today, Felix heard her directly call him that.
"No problem, please just think of your recovery," Felix replied, adjusting his tone so as not to sound awkward.
****Meanwhile, elsewhere, the company party turned into a condolence event. Samuel announced with tears in his eyes on the podium; he stated that his wife Camelia had an accident and fell into a ravine with the car she was driving.
"Please pray that my wife's body can be found as soon as possible," Samuel said on the podium. He wiped his hands with a handkerchief given to him by his secretary, Simona.
Just like Samuel, Simona also did the best drama possible. She cried bitterly to attract the attention of others because many people knew that Simona was also close to the late Camelia.
Simona just looked down, holding her hands in her lap. She glanced at Samuel, who stole glances at her. He smiled several times, and Simona knew it was a sign of the success they were about to have.
An inheritance that wouldn't run out for the seven generations that would be born to her and Samuel, not to mention Camelia's death insurance. Simona had difficulty sleeping, imagining how luxurious her life would be as Mrs. Philips, bearing children for Samuel, and living happily with the money that kept coming without working hard. Her dream would come true shortly.
"Camelia. You stupid, beautiful woman! Married a poor man who didn't love you, thanks to the treasure you left behind," Simona thought as she stared at the large picture of Camelia displayed in the ballroom.
This year could have been a sad year as they had to pretend to mourn and feel sad about Camelia's death. But next year would be different; Samuel would move on with his life, and Simona would participate.
"I have to see Mr. Taylor first," Samuel said, handing his handkerchief to Simona.
Felix felt guilty for arriving late. He had a lot of things to take care of. Elisa, his wife, was still in the hospital, and Felix didn't want to leave her alone. But the woman forced him to go; inevitably, Felix had to attend an event that was not too important to him.
"Mr. Philips, I'm sorry I'm late," Felix said, shaking Samuel's hand. Samuel was one of the billionaires whose name had only soared in recent years; reportedly, Samuel was successful because of the support of the great woman who became his wife.
"Mr. Taylor, I must apologize to you. The company party must be stopped because I just lost my wife," Samuel replied, taking a breath and exhaling. He showed his sad face again.
"I have heard this news. I am also in shock over what happened to you, Mr. Philips. Hopefully, your wife's body can be found as soon as possible."
"It's difficult, tough, Mr. Taylor. Finding my wife's body, her car crashed in a steep ravine, and underneath it is a vast sea that cannot measure its depth," Samuel explained in detail. He knew the place so well that it would be impossible to find Camelia, who had probably become shark food.
Felix nodded. He thought so, even though the Philips' little family romance had always been in the media spotlight. Felix knew Samuel and Camelia had married through an arranged marriage, just like he and Elisa. But Camelia and Samuel were the most romantic couple, and Felix could also see that Samuel was sorrowful when he lost his wife.
"Mr. Taylor, you only came alone. Where is your wife, Elisabet?"
"My wife. She just returned from Italy, and I asked her to rest."
"My late wife also just returned from New York. It's a pity we didn't get to meet to say goodbye to each other."
Felix's brows furrowed strangely as he heard Samuel's odd-sounding words. Farewell? Wasn't his wife in an accident, not dead from illness? But whatever it was, Felix didn't want to interfere further; Samuel excused himself from his presence to greet the other guests.
Felix stood in the corner of the room among the fresh roses. With a glass glass filled with golden liquid, his lips tasted the drink that entered his throat little by little. His eyes gazed deeply into the picture of Camelia Shannon Philips; so beautiful and captivating, Elisa's face instantly flashed into Felix's mind.
Felix bowed slightly as he tried to pay his respects to the late Camelia. Even though they had not spoken, Felix would still show his respect.
At the same time, Felix's eyes followed the movements of a woman who looked suspicious. The woman approached Samuel, and Felix saw the woman's hand hiding behind her back interlock with Samuel's hand.
"Samuel is having an affair?" Felix guessed. Felix's mind immediately thought of a suspicious motive for Camelia's death.
****
It was a very bright day with the morning news of Camelia Shannon Philips' death. Elisa's eyes stared at the television screen in the hospital. They said that Camelia had been involved in a single-vehicle accident that had sent the car she was driving into a ravine. And now they were still looking for Camelia's body, which had probably disintegrated and become fish food.
She couldn't believe Samuel had engineered her death so dramatically; now, there was no point in explaining that she was alive. Her body was different, and what remained was no longer love but hatred and revenge. Samuel and Simona were so hungry to eat all the wealth left behind by him.
Meanwhile, Camelia, who was currently in Elisha's body, could not taste water or food because of the trauma they had done to her. Her tears were no longer even willing to mourn or feel regret; she would face this second life as Camelia with a new soul without pity.
Faintly, Elisa heard the sound of the door opening. She knew Felix's arrival, his masculine perfume wafting over her even from a distance. Nevertheless, she was still nervous whenever Felix came to her; the Camelia inside Elisa's body had to accept that she was no longer Camelia Shannon Philips. But she was Elisabelt Collins Taylor, the wife of billionaire Jhonson Felix Taylor.
"The nurse told me that you haven't eaten anything since last night," Felix said, his eyes boring into Elisa's face, the woman still focused on the television screen. Felix's hand quickly grabbed the remote and turned off the television, making Elisa want to look up at him.
"I can't eat anything; I'm sorry," Elisa said, glancing briefly at Felix and then turning her face in the other direction, not feeling nervous as she looked deeply into Felix's eyes.
"Eat, eat anything, even if it's just a little," Felix said again, his anger subsiding as he heard Elisa apologize. Strange but true, that's how Felix felt. Since the accident, his wife had been declared amnesiac, and Elisa's character had also changed 180. The word apology was very difficult for Elisa to say to anyone, including Felix.
Elisa shook her head quickly and looked deeply into Felix's eyes. Felix reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a cell phone, and Elisa vaguely saw Felix typing away. I don't know who he was texting, but he put the phone back on the table, opened his jacket, and rolled his shirt to his sleeve.
"Wait, I ordered your favorite food," Felix added spontaneously, raising his hand to the top of Elisa's head and rubbing it gently.
Soon, the door was knocked again; Felix stepped away from Elisa and greeted a paper bag from Elisa's favorite restaurant. No, no, Felix didn't know Elisa this well. Felix had asked Elisa's manager beforehand.
Elisa remained silent as her husband Felix helped her correct her seating position. Then he opened the table and took out all of Elisa's favorite foods, which turned out to be the same as Camelia's.
"Bon appetit. Hopefully, your appetite will improve after this," Felix said, handing Elisa a spoon.
"Thank you, Felix," Elisa replied, taking the spoon gently.
Felix nodded, his face looking very flat. However, few people realized Felix often smiled in his eyes; he was pleased with Elisa's new nature, even though it was only temporary.
"When am I allowed to go home?" Elisa asked as she finished her meal.
"Are you feeling better? I'm going to consult the doctor," Felix replied, adjusting Elisa's seat.
"Yes, I'm much better. It's only a small wound on the temple anyway," Elisa said.
"Alright, I'll talk to the doctor," Felix continued as his body was about to turn around, his arm held by Elisa.
"Felix, thank you once again for saving my life."
"No need to thank me. It's my responsibility as your husband," Felix replied before disappearing behind the door.
****
"Just stop searching for Camelia's body, darling. The media will also get sick of reporting on the dead Camelia," said Simona, hugging Samuel's back, who was facing the balcony.
The mansion that Samuel and Camelia lived in before is now over. Now, the servants would get used to their new mistress, Simona Laila, being in the mansion, One thing Camelia didn't realize. All the servants in the mansion were on Samuel's side; they all kept the affair a secret that had been going on for a long time, three years to be precise.
"Honey, calm down. I made the engineering of Camelia's death so amazing; wait a little while until the insurance company disburses Camelia's death money," Samuel replied, turning his body around, touching Simona's chin, and then crushing Simona's lips, which always made him lustful.
They made love again on Camelia's late bed. Even though Samuel and Camelia's wedding portrait was still displayed in the room, the two humans who did not know themselves desecrated Camelia's kindness.
"Argh! Samuel faster," Simona sighed, clutching Samuel's shoulder. Her head looked up, and her eyes turned white, enjoying the sensation of pleasure Samuel was giving her.
"My pleasure," Samuel whispered in between his brutal kisses on Simona. He picked up the pace, lifting Simona's synthetic ass slightly.
"I'm almost there, baby, scream," said Samuel, who was on top of Simona's body and slightly nodded.
"AHH, I love you, Simona."
"Argh! Shit, I love you more, Samuel."
Samuel held Simona's body tightly in his arms. He smiled a little when he realized Simona was kissing his chest. Samuel had never fallen in love so deeply; Simona made Samuel forget Camelia.
"What if I get pregnant?" Simona looked up to gaze deeply into Samuel's eyes.
"We'll get married, dear. Don't worry. I hope that you get pregnant soon. That's what we make love for all the time," Samuel whispered, kissing Simona's lips.
"I've wanted to get pregnant for a long time, too. But since you still have Camelia in your life, I don't feel confident," Simona murmured, rubbing Samuel's muscular arm.
"Why do you care so much about Camelia? As long as I'm married to her, touching her body feels so disgusting. Her sighs are like the sound of a female dog that makes me sick," explained Samuel, who was demonizing Camelia.
"What about the sound of my sighs? We made love more than four times today," Simona said with a chuckle; she bit her lower lip, pulling one of Samuel's hands towards her chest. "He's inattentive; please give him the best service," Simona whispered, holding back her sighs as Samuel squeezed her breasts.
"I want to do it again, Simona; you're a real bitch!" repeated Samuel smacking Simona's lips.
***"This is your room," Felix said, opening one of the doors when they reached the mansion.
"And across there is my room," Felix continued, pointing to the door in front of Elisa's room.
"Sleeping separately?" asked a confused Elisa.
"Yes. Maybe you don't remember, but you asked me to sleep separately," Felix continued, trying to get Elisa to remember some of her habits.
"Really? Then thank you, Felix," said Elisa, who slightly nodded.
"Good night, Elisa."
"Good night, Felix."
Felix closed the door, and Elisa sat on the bed. She looked around; there wasn't a single wedding photo until Camelia thought Elisa and Felix weren't married. They looked like strangers living in the same house.
Camelia looked back at the reflection of her face in Elisa's vanity mirror."Elisa, wherever you are right now, thank you for lending me your body."
Felix was surprised to hear his wife muttering on the other side of the door. Shaking his head a few times, Elisa's words made no sense. Felix promised to bring Elisa's memory back to normal.
"Where is Elisa?" Felix asked, opening the door again.
Elisa looked surprised when she saw the reflection of Felix's face entering the room. Throwing glances at each other, Camelia found it challenging to explain because surely Felix would think that she was hallucinating.
"What do you mean?"
"You said Elisa lent her body to you, so where is Elisa now?"
"I--"
Felix pursed his lips to cut off Elisa's words. "Elisa. Stop thinking things that aren't- no, you must rest a lot."
Elisa nodded. Turning to stare at Felix's bearded body standing a meter before her, Elisa's lips curled into a small smile. "Thank you, Felix, you're all I have right now. You're the only one I can trust," she said to Felix.
"I know our marriage was a marriage without love. But I will never forget my responsibilities as your husband," Felix continued.
"Felix. Has the search for Camelia Shannon Philips' body been completed?"
Felix shook his head. "Not yet. Tomorrow, they will be holding a funeral in honor of the late Camelia; her body has been declared unrecoverable," explained Felix, who had heard bits and pieces of the progress of the search for his business partner's body. "You knew Camelia?" continued Felix.
"Yes. I knew Camelia; she met me a few times when I was abroad," Elisa replied with a slight lie. "I had to come to offer my condolences to the Philips family," Elisa continued.
"I think your health comes first, Elisa. I'll pass on your message to Samuel, Camelia's husband," Felix said, stepping forward and standing closer to Elisa, who was still sitting in the dressing table chair. Felix lowered his head to equalize her height.
"Felix. Please, just once; I'm much better than you think," continued Elisa, boldly holding Felix's hand.
Felix fell silent again. Frozen in place, he spontaneously glanced at her hand. Elisa's tiny, warm fingers reached out and grasped his hand, something Felix had never experienced in his entire marriage to Elisa. Everything was like a dream for Felix; not even money could buy him happiness.
Felix's one free hand pulled Elisa's back. Bringing her tiny body into his arms, he held her tightly. Felix hoped she couldn't hear the sound of his heartbeat."I'll let you go, Elisa. We'll go together," whispered Felix, who felt his knees weaken as he tried to stay strong.
Elisa nodded her hand slowly but surely, rubbing Felix's neck. Closing her eyes briefly, being in Felix's arms seemed to bring positive energy to Camelia, but unfortunately, in Felix's heart, there was only Elisa's name and not Camelia's.
"After all my vengeance is avenged, I will ensure Elisa returns to you, Felix." Elisa thought to herself.
