I stood by the doorway with a shocked expression. My brain was trying to comprehend what my eyes were seeing in front of me.

My mind and heart were both arguing as I couldn't believe that my best friend, someone who was the most precious person to me, someone I treated like family was in bed naked with my beloved fiance. The only man I loved so much in my whole entire life.

But then my heart kept arguing with my brain trying to tell me it was only someone that resembled him. But seeing the look on the two faces said otherwise. They looked like they couldn't believe I was standing before them.

" What's this?" I asked, my voice barely audible.

Blinking a couple times, it seems the two realized they weren't imagining stuff and I was right in front of them. Quickly gathering the sheets as they struggled, covering their selves up.

Looking up at me with a pleading expression.

"Rose" my fiance called jumping out of the bed desperately trying to get his trouser that was lying on the floor. " please I can explain my love "

Closing my eyes I took a deep breath, trying my possible best not to cry as I realise my hope on the man not being my fiance were shattered.

I was driving home from work when I felt my cramps becoming unbearable, that's why I decided to go to Selena's house hoping she had get some medicine not expecting to find them both on bed.

"What?" I asked, " what do you want to explain.' How you lied about having a business meeting while you were in bed enjoying yourself with my best friend,? even though I told you I was in serious pain, is that it? "

"Rose please."

My best friend spoke for the first time trying to join the conversation. Turning I looked at her blinking my eyes trying so hard not to cry in front of both of them.

Looking at her I couldn't help but think why. I treated her like my sister, we did literally everything together, went everywhere together. I thought as I shook my head, closing my ears to block the voice of Selena moaning Ryan's name from earlier.

Looking up at them I chuckled darkly like one who had lost her mind, I still couldn't believe this was happening to me right now, it must be a dream right, I thought looking at them I couldn't help but think about how much they deserved each other.

Ryan as always been the famous, popular and eligible bachelor of Canada, Canada most wanted bachelor, while Selena was Canada beauty queen, the woman who everyone desired to have, she was on every man's mind and heart.

While I was just there, someone who always excluded myself from others, someone who people don't know much about.

I was just a Shrinking Violet.

It made sense now that I thought of it as I felt stupid for believing a guy like Ryan would be interested in me, for believing in his lies. But I couldn't blame myself, when Ryan approached me and told me he was interested in me I felt happy, I felt like I was as lucky as Cinderella and as strong as queen Elsa. But those were just my fantasy I thought as I turned looking at them again. It made sense I thought once more

" Please let me explain Rose " Ryan said in a hurry.

Chuckling I looked at him " Don't bother " I smiled as I continued " Just save me the stress and lies you are about to full my head with. "

Removing the engagement ring I threw it on the floor towards him not caring if it got damage or not.

Turning to my ex best friend I smiled " I wish you both a happy life since our engagement is off now. "

Turning around I left the room with every ounce of strength I had left in me, willing myself not to shed tears until I had left the premises. I am a queen and I refuse to let my enemies see me in tears. That's right from this moment those two were now my enemies.

Walking out of the house in fiery, I walked towards my car opening the door, which was later closed shut, turning around to look at him, anger in my eyes.

" Rose please let me explain my love "Ryan said panting.

" There's nothing to explain here Ryan, get your hands off my car before I do something we both will regret. " I said trying to open the car once more, but it was shut again.

Taking a deep breath I pushed a button on my keys. Turning around I looked at Selena who was standing a little bit far behind Ryan.

" Keep my car save, I will send someone to come take it tomorrow " I said before making my way out of the premises which disgusted me right now.

Opening my phone to try and book a cab.

" Rose " Ryan called running towards me grabbing my arm.

Jerking my arm out of his hold as I felt disgusted by the touch that I once yearned for.

" Get away from me while am being nice Ryan."

"Don't worry I will make sure to announce that our engagement is off to the entire Canada first thing tomorrow morning."I said walking off once more.

" Rose please "he kept begging holding my hands in a firm grip, not willing to let me go.

Struggling to free myself from his grip I decided to kick him were the sun does not shine.

Releasing my hands he quickly caught my leg before it could come in contact with his balls, looking at me with horror in his eyes.

Seeing I was free I pushed him away as hard I could, releasing myself from his grip completely before taking off, running towards the gate of the compound while he chased after me.

Opening the gate of the compound I ran out, trying my best to get away from here as fast as I could, I could feel my strength slowly fading away as tears started pouring down my face.

Taking a sharp corner I ran into the street in the middle of the night without looking.

Hearing the horn of a truck I turned to my left, horror struck me as I saw the light of the vehicle which drove fast towards me hitting me before I could think of moving.

Stopping the car the old man got down to check what just happened. Seeing what he did, he quickly got back into his car and drove away leaving me on the street.

" Rose " Ryan shouted looking at me in the middle of the street, running towards me.

" Don't! let's go " Selena said dragging him away " " Look Ryan this is a opportunity for both of us, we can finally get rid of her. " She said cupping his cheeks.

" But Rose. "He said bending down to carry me.

" No! Ryan you just need her for money after all right? and now she's gone you can have all the Alexander shares. "

Looking at them with tears in my eyes and blood rushing out of my mouth, I was slowly losing my strength, my eyes were slowly closing.

Mustering all the strength I had left in me, I raised my hands putting them on Ryan's shoes, hoping he would see how desperate I was and not listen to my ex best friend.

" Let's go Ryan by tomorrow everything will be over and we will get everything " Selena said tugging his arms.

Turning around he held Selena's hands and left.

Looking at them I couldn't believe that someone I considered my best friend and the man I loved would do this to me.

Tears coming down my eyes as I couldn't believe I was going to die like this while they were going to enjoy their lives.

No I screamed inside her head, it is not over yet, I must avenge myself, I refuse to be played like a fool and die like this, I will definitely be back to get back at them.

It's not over until I says it is, I thought before slowly letting darkness take over her.

Alfonso Tommaso

Looking down at the woman I saved last week from death, I couldn't help but wonder what exactly happened.

The doctor had came to check her and ensures she was going to be okay. But it was almost a week already and he was getting worried.

What could have happened to her that she was lying in the middle of the road dressed up.

It could be that she was hit, but the dress she was putting on and her jewelries clearly showed that she was a loaded lady, so why was she out by that time of the night, I couldn't help but wonder.

Sitting beside her bed lost in thought, I heard small sound coming from beside him.

I was stunned when I looked at the lady who was now awake and looking around, her gaze stopping at me looking at me with her emerald green eyes which held pain in them.

Whatever must have happened to her earlier was definitely still affecting her.

Looking closely at her examining her features, she clearly was beautiful with her natural face, more beautiful than when she caked her face.

Her skin was a little bit pale and she had a Auburn color hair. She was pretty but she looked quite plain, but her green emerald eyes seem to make her beauty shine a little more. She was one of those girls that could model with a plain natural face and still look attractive.

Closing her eyes she took a deep breathe hiding those beautiful green eyes away from my view.

" Are you okay " I decided to ask.

" Am sorry " she said weakly, coughing slightly

" sorry please where am I " she asked softly. Looking around for a moment before zoning out.

Looking at her I could guess that she was thinking about whatever had happened before, considering the pain radiating in her eyes.

" Sorry were are my manners, I haven't thanked you for saving me Mr.... "

Tilting my head to the side, I bit the inside of my cheeks, to stop me from smiling.

She was not serious right? Either she was definitely pulling my legs or her mind was still unsettle and in shock.

There was no way she could not recognize me Alfonso Tommaso I thought, before stretching my hand for a handshake.

" Alfonso Tommaso " I said.

Taking my handshake offer, she put her hands into mine, I couldn't help but admire how soft and delicate her hands looked and felt.

" And you are signorina? " I asked pushing away my thoughts to the back of my head.

" Rose Alexander " she answered her hands still in mine.

Looking up at me for a moment she raised her eyebrows " Italian? " she asked.

Nodding my head to answer her question I said " it's a pleasure to meet you signorina" kissing the back of her hand slightly.

Composing herself, she nodded her head coldly looking at me " same " she replied.

Secretly smiling at the act of toughness she decided to put on. I was about to ask her about herself when a knock came from the door disturbing the nice conversation I was having with the beautiful lady in front of me.

" Accedere " ( i.e enter) I said in a commanding tone.

The doctor entered the room with his assistant and some tools, probably here for her daily check up again.

Smiling respectfully he walked towards us bowing his head lightly greeting us, before asking his assistant to take the necessary things he needed.

After the doctor had done all the necessary things and had prescribe all the medicine she needed he took his leave.

Getting up I took the house phone and ask for breakfast to be delivered to us upstairs.

Shortly after the maid entered the room with trays of breakfast for me and my guest.

Silently they arranged the foods on the table occasionally glancing at the lady in my room before bowing and taking their leave.

" Come let us have our breakfast " I said smiling gently towards her.

She got up shaking her head " I need to leave I have urgent matters to attend to " she said before looking down at herself, noticing she was just in a oversized t-shirt she quickly covered herself with her hands blushing.

Gasping she glaring at me " where are my clothes? What have you done to me. "

Shrugging my shoulders I walked towards the table our breakfast was on moving a chair to take my sit, crossing my legs " tesore come have your breakfast before it gets cold "

" I asked you a question, and how long have I been here" she asked her expression showing anger with a mix of confusion.

" About a week I think " I answered.

" Signorina come eat so you can have the strength to call your family and talk to them, they must be so worried. "

Waving her hand dismissively " No one is gonna worry about me " she said coolly.

" Common Signorina that's impossible "

" Ahh! shut up, you are so annoying as anyone ever told you that " she snapped at me.

" Well not to my face " I answered smirking.

She really was something, women normally adored me, kissed the path I walked on and treated me like a god.

But she was definitely different as I can see my presence annoys her.

" I'm not hungry, so please give me my clothes I would like to be on my way now " Rose said breaking me out of my chain of thought.

" I don't care you still need to take something Signorina and there's no argument in this, you just woke up you definitely must be weak right now " I said staring at her with an expression that says I meant what I had just said.

" You are so annoying " she said gritting her teeth together looking at me.

" Well I won't say annoying, but if my kindness seems annoying to you then I guess we will leave it at that, but you are still eating the food " I said looking at her.

Staring at the impossible and stubborn man in front of me with anger in my eyes.

He was the most arrogant man I had ever came across with in my whole entire life, but then again ain't all handsome guys like that, so sure of themselves like they could rule the world or have the world under their feet just because they had bit of a special face.

I definitely was not going to lie about the fact that he was handsome, that man looked like a freaking walking Greek god, a sculptured art that needed to be preserve in a museum.

Walking towards the table, I took my seat staring angrily at him to show my displeasure in this situation.

" Care for some tea? " he asked smiling politely at me not caring about the glares I threw his way.

I wanted nothing more than to leave here quickly I had matters to tend to and revenge to serve and my enemies were roaming about freely on the street enjoying themselves and these thought alone made me bitter, but I refuse to let the arrogant man in front of me win in this situation.

Coming out of my thought, I could see him from the corner of my eyes observing me, as if he was trying to figure out what was going on in my mind at the moment.

Turning my gaze to the large glass window at the other side of the room, I looked through it enjoying the view.

Clearing his throat to get my attention I looked up lightly towards him from the corner of my eye wondering what he might want this time, only to see him raising a tea cup towards me.

" I don't want tea " I replied briefly before turning my gaze back to the window trying to ignore him once more.

" Ahhh not a tea drinker I see, I will ask them to get you some coffee then " he said looking towards the phone he took earlier on.

Groaning I snapped my head towards him " you are so ANNOYING, you know that right " I said emphasising on the word annoying, as I imagined smoke coming out of my ears right now if I were in a movie.

Chuckling he cleared his throat again, but this time I decided to ignore him and his childishness keeping my gaze out the window.

" Are you ignoring me Cara? "he asked.

Turning my head towards him in a very fast manner I looked at him, seeing red due to anger.

" Don't ever call me that " I said glaring at him to show how serious I was.

" I can take any joke from you but not that "

" Why? " he asked looking at me curiously. I turned my head back to gaze outside not giving him an answer to his questions.

A knock on the door disturbed me from my view, as I glanced discreetly at the door to see who it might be.

" Accedere " he said looking at the door.

A maid enter the room with a paper in her hands walking towards him. She silently placed the paper on the coffee table slightly bowing before making her way out of the room.

" Canadian Heiress gone missing " he said making me turn around looking at him surprised, he as a paper in his hands, turning it he showed me what was written on the paper.

My picture was at the front of the paper with the headline talking about my disappearance.

Looking at it I couldn't help but scoff, those two really wanted me gone, looks like they went through with their plan.

They couldn't even wait a month before declaring me missing. Going a little forward towards him I snatched the papers out of his hands and read it.

Shaking my head when I was done I placed the paper on the coffee table, they couldn't even find a better picture of me they could use, I snorted this definitely as Selena's name written all over it I couldn't help but think.

" So what are you going to do? " "what's going to be your plan? " he asked. As I stared at him wondering what was going on in that head of his.

" Cause you are definitely missing to the world, right now nobody know where you are except me and few of my workers, which of course with a little money they will definitely keep their mouth shut "He continued looking at me raising his eyebrows up cockily.

Raising my eyebrows at him I couldn't help but ask " what do you mean? " he was starting to break his annometer ( annoying meter) and i was wishing I could just snap his head.

" Well you see I could keep you here all day without anyone knowing or you could you know just...."he said before pushing my meal forward towards me, shrugging is shoulders.

Glaring at him for a while hoping he had change his mind , but the fool just kept shrugging his shoulder staring at me nonchalantly.

Giving up I gave a resigning sign before picking up my fork and digging into my meal forcing myself while glaring at him. Just for the meantime I thought, he could control me just for now.

Turning on the TV and increasing the volume so I could hear what was on the news.

" A very heart breaking news reached our studio today about the missing of Ms Rose Alexander, her family had declared her missing this morning to the police after about a week of not knowing about her whereabouts."

The whereabouts of Canadian businesswoman and heiress of the Alexander co. Enterprise as been the hottest news today.

Her fiance Mr Ryan Angelo and her best friend Ms Selena Hunter confirm that they last saw her in her office, were they both visited her after her complain about how much workload and pressure was put on her.

" As a very close friend of her I am seriously disappointed in myself, as I just came to know about my friend depression a day before her disappearance and am very worried, I have been so busy in the model world that I neglected her, right now all I can say is that I hope she is doing all right where ever she is."

These were the words of her best friend Ms Selena.

Snorting I looked at the TV not believing how perfect their lies were.
