Its raining heavily that day, Clair has just finished his father, Derek Johnson funeral. He is a great man , a great father, businessman and friend. Clair has been living with her father since her mother passed away 18 years ago. She do not have a lot of memories of her mother as she was only 3 years old when she passed away due to a heart failure. Her father has been overly protective of her since he loss his wife. She has a strict diet and she need to consume a lot of vitamin a day since she also inherited her mother condition . No chores, sports, outing, and no social engagement for her. She was home school and her only friend is Brittany Sanders who is her best friend and neighbour too. Brittany is the opposite of Clair in terms of personality. She is easy-going, sporty, and extrovert while Clair is kind, gentle and timid. Brittany basically has her own room in Clair house since they do a lot of sleepover. Well considering Derek restrictions on Clair, that is the only way they can spend their time together. Everyday Brittany will tell Clair about her day, school, friend, boyfriend, crush and work. They shares almost everything and they cannot literally lie to each other. Since Clair has a heart condition Brittany know all her doctor notes, what kind of medicine to take the do's and dont's. Brittany herself is a famous fashion designer and she is basically the acting CEO for Johnson Group since Clair has no interest in her father company. Clair is the major shareholder in name and automatically the chairman when her father passed away. Brittany's family own a large chain of malls and supermarket in country S but she has no interest in her family business since she fell in love in designing. She has a brother Ryan Sanders who is the current CEO of Sanders Group currently living in country A expanding their family business. Alice Sanders, Brittany mother treated Clair like her own daughter, she and her husband helped to organized the funeral for their bestfriend Derek.Brittany has been keeping Clair company since she is all alone Johnson mansion except for their maid and bodyguard and nutritionist.

Clair POV

It has been 2 weeks since daddy passed away and I have never felt alone. But I am lucky to have my Brit with me. She is my other half. My nutritionist Lea is someone I considered family too, she is the daughter of my oldest maid, aunt Andrea. They have been with me since I was small, daddy supported Lea through school and provided a scholarship for her to pursue her studies and when she chose to become a nutritionist daddy hired her as my personal nutritionist. She is strict with me but has a heart of gold. Daddy always forbid me from eating sweets or oily food so I craved a lot eating these forbidden food. Lea is 5 years older than me so I consider her as my sister than just a friend.

"Hi young lady, what are you thinking? Its time for your evening snack and you may take you vitamins afterward" said Lea while placing my food on the table beside my bed.

"Well my beloved Lily, you can just prepare the food downstairs, I can come over plus I am sick of sleeping on my bed. It has been two weeks Lily" I said pouting acting childishly to her.

"Dont do that face to me, I am not my mother, how many times have you fainted this week. Its more than I can count with my fingers. And please heeds to the doctor advise and eat more. My mother has been worrying seeing your condition. Your face has lose its complexion.You know we love you right? Take care of yourself okay?" She said rubbing my head tenderly

I just nod and smile at her words.

Yes Im not eating well, my fair skin has became as pale as paper. I felt so drained of energy with just walking to the toilet. Yesterday when I took my bath I fainted in the tub, I am lucky I was not drowned since aunt Andrea found me on time. She actually came to help me blow my hair as she used to do when I am down or sad. She has a bad feeling because she had to wait for almost an hour but I am still inside the toilet. I am a simple person my bath time has never exceed 15mins. So a 1hour bath definitely triggering for her to call my bodyguard to break the door. They found almost drowned and unconcious in the bath tub. They have to call our family doctor since my hands and lips almost turned blue.

I was diagnosed with a mild depression and not eating or sleeping well do not sit well for a person with a heart condition like me. Doctor advised to have a good rest, watch my diet and if possible take a holiday in a completely new environment. But where can I go? I am almost never went out of my house. I wish to travel but daddy wont allow me. To travel alone scares me I dont even know basic things in survival. Perhaps I should consult with Brit when she come home. I was thinking by myself while forcing the cut fruita down my throats.

Brit has gone to Country A to visit Ryan as Brit & Johnson Group was trying to expand there as well. She is working dilligently there and I begged Lily not to tell her about my fainting episode. Else she will definitely rush to take the earliest flight just to nag at me.

Brittany POV

" Brit when is your next flight? I am pretty busy this week sorry I cant meet you sis" Brit was stretching in her bed listening to her brother on the other line. She grumbles since her brother phone call basically disturbed her beauty sleep. Brit is a famous fashion designer so she pretty much take a serious care of her beauty regime. She will only wake up after exactly 8 hours of sleep. She is a light sleeper so a faint sound will definitely sent her jolt awake and Ryan definitely knows it too but he just want to tease her in the morning.

"OHMYGOD! Urghh can you stop!! I just landed here and you pick me up literally 6 hours ago. Can you please stop spoiling my mood You are so dead Ryan!! " Brit can hear her brother chuckles and she can hear a woman voice at the background. He must have pickup that chick in the club last night. Gross.

"Well good morning sis, I just want to remind you of our brunch at 1PM. I will pickup you up dont be late and no fancy dress please!" He ended the call. This guy is so annoying, he f***ing call me at 5AM for this? And now I cant sleep. She scrolled down the Instagram feeds to check if any updates on her page. Then she open her mailbox and saw aunt Andrea text yesterday. She suddenly feel anxious since aunt never text unless anything serious had happened.

"Brit dear her condition has worsen, doctor told us that she has mild depression. She fainted for the 14 times this week and yesterday she fainted in the tub while taking her bath. She almost drown dear. I am scared for her dear life. She begged Lea not to tell you but I am worried this take a huge tolls on her heart."

I almost slipped my phone from my finger. Clair has been nothing but my everything. She is my rock, She support me more than anyone in my life my parent included. She cheered me when I am down, she celebrated my success, she listened to rants and she save me. Yes she save me, once when we were 5 years old we were playing in the garden and a poisonous snake almost bit me but Clair saw it first she put her hands in fronts of me and the snake bit her instead. She was so brave and she dont even cry. She just hugged me and said "its ok Brit you are safe" before she losses her consciousness. She was brought to hospital and had to fight for her life that very night. I still remembered how Mr Derek still smile and comforted me while his daughter was getting treatment. Never did he blamed me and stopped me from seeing Clair after the incidents. That is how I promised myself I will protect Clair no matter what. Derek is gone, she need a plan to help Clair to move on.

Only the best for her besties. She dragged her feet to the toilet and take a bath, she just get a light snacks and started to work on her latest summer design. Her inspiration has alwayss been Clair all her work dedicated to her besties, the first piece of all her collection been given to Clair but nobody knows her Clair. Derek wants no exposure for Clair so he never has any social arrangment to introduce Clair. Only shareholders of Johnson's group knew about her.

It is 11 AM now, she quickly dialled aunt contact first. She know if she calls Clair that girl will attempt to lie to her and she's a terrible liar she got caught because she always stutter when she lie.

Her call was answered after the second ring

" hi aunt, how was it? Is she okay? Has she eaten? What the doctor said again?" She asked in one breath.

"Well hi dear, how was your flight?" Aunt chuckles. She just landed in country A from country B last night. It has been 4 days since leave country S.

" hurmm im fine I guess.. but that not important, how ia Clair aunt? She getting better?" She's getting agitated since aunt didnt answer her right away. Poor aunts its not her fault, this is the result of not enough sleep.

"She's stable, and yeah she just ate, Lea make sure of it. Well doctor asked her to take a holiday to distract her mind from thinking about Derek. But you know she's been here hee whole life, she never even had a chance to have a stroll in the park, Derek make sure of it. He sheltered her too much. Clair needs you, she need to learn about the world. Its time and I cant do that, Im too old and she trust you." I sighed, "I will figure out something for Clair, take care of her for me aunt." She ended the call, a frown formed on her forehead.I knew that I hated Derek protectiveness over Clair, he was a good man yes no doubt, but his way was not realistic and he knew that but refused to change. Yes its time. I will bring Clair to Country A, I have gotten a contract here I need to be here atleast for atleast 2 years. Going back and forth to country S and country A is not ideal. But I need a foolproof plan. Clair has medical needs to be taken care of. Her diet, her safety, and I cant do this alone. Unlike country S a small country, here in Country A, paparazzi is everywhere even her arrival to this country attracted media. Apart from a famous designer and CEO of Johnson Group, Brittany herself is a beautiful girl, a blonds hair girl with blue eyes, her fair skin and sexy body. She is definitely a goddess. But they havent seen Clair, even Brit felt inferior to Clair beauty and she always told her how pretty she is. She called her a modern snow white trapped in modern castle. She is a brunette with green eyes, a fair snow skin, her smiles can captures any man and she has a calm temperament. She is so innocent for the world. Anyone who see her would automatically want to protect her.

Brittany heard her alarm went off, she quickly went to her luggage to look for a sun dress for her brunch, once ready it is almost 1PM she knew Ryan will be here anytime, he is very much punctual yes and they both shares the same characteristics.

A text from Ryan came in " Im here baby sis come down" she just pickup her handbag and go out her hotel room to meet Ryan. Once she exit the hotel she saw him leaning against his black Bugatti La Voiture Noir. His latest sick addition of car collection. He was texting someone when she come to him, she just planted a light peck on his cheek and let herself in the car. Ryan follow led after her to the driver seat.

"Where are we going? I am famish." She stated looking at Ryan. "Well we are going to do brunch at Maison Pic Valence. But my friend Alex and Mateo will be joining us later, we have something to discuss over brunch. Yes and do not make that face, please sis" He knew I hated to associate with someone I barely know during family time. I consider brunch with Ryan as family time since he move to Country A because we barely sees each other. "Then take me to dinner tonight too" I started to bargain. I know he wont refuse me, I am his only sister and we both been so busy that we misses each other. He just smile and said "its a deal then"

Once we arrivethe waiter guide us to our seat where two gentlement has been seated there. I guess they are Mateo and Alex.

Ryan introduced me to his friend, Mateo is a director of a renowned hospital here while Alex is a businessman that deals with few business. Well I knew Alex from what I have been reading in forbes he is a billionaire and one of the hottest bachelor in the world. Only if he is not a playboy, totally not my type. Mateo is a funny guy, he is cute, yeah well handsome and has a very good muscles and fat propotioned. Dreamy I said to myself.

We ended our meal, I dont even say a word during the meal, just having my meal at my own sweet time and I miss Clair, she always sneaked behind her father to learn how to bake and cook. She is definitely gifted, her food is to die for and I am foodie for one, I have eaten from the most expensive hotel and nothing can compare to her cooking.

"Brit, Mateo will send you back to your hotel, I am sorry something came up so sudden" yeah my brother just dump me to his friend that I dont know of, handsome he is but well still a stranger. I just silently walk beside Mateo to his car.

"Brittany right? Sorry for this, are you okay with me sending you back?"

I just look at him and nodded.

"Well, I uh can I ask you something?" Suddenly thinking about my proposal I have the urge to get his help since Ryan is so busy for his sister and he seems like a trustworthy guy.

He just look at me and flash his 1000 watt smiles "yeah sure, hit me." He said lightly that earns a chuckles from me, I felt a flush crept on my cheek.

"Do you really own a hospital? I need to have a healthcare plan for my besties. I am trying to bring her here, a change of scenery. But I cant bring the whole medical team for her." Here I said it, I asked him straighforward.

"Well my family own the hospital, I am the director of one of their hospital in the city. Seems serious huh, just forward me her current

medical information and I can get it arrange for you per your needs." I am astonished, he just agreed to help me. My jaw are slightly open. He nudged me " Am I that awesome huh, close your mouth little girl" he just pat my head, opening car door for me.

Alex POV

It has been 2 days since he meet his friend for brunch. Ryan sister tag along, pretty girl and Mateo seems hooked. Me? I dont do family and friends. I am playboy yes but I still have my conscience. Mateo is far from me, he is the good dude out of the 3 us musketeer. The nerd is what we use to call him back in college. We have been friend since college, Ryan is older than me and is currently getting a serious relationship with Mia my elder sister. I dont know how he can stand her, she is the jealous type. Someone that I wont choose to be in relationship not like I am into one. I am a realistic person, relationship is a bad business. I can get my fill from my one night stand, fu** them as they want it but never more than once.

Ryan seems busy to help her sister looking for a suitable house and maid for his sister and her bestfriend. But to no luck as of now, I have a mansion right beside my own that is ready to live in but Im not sure if he would want to consider his sister living close to me. Well I dont give a damn but I am super bored, no one to accompany me today and it seems it may take a long time before he decide and I will be doom lonely. Mateo Kings is super busy with his VIP patient, and Ryan sister is bringing him one as well, nice. My secretary Lance at the door brings me back to reality,

" Boss, you have meeting at 2pm today and your schedule is cleared for the day." He said looking at me waiting for my next instruction.

"Sh** Im all alone today, this won't do" I slammed my hand on my table shocked Lance. I quickly take my phone and dialled Ryan.

"Hello Ryan, I found a perfect house for your sister. And yeah with few trained maid, gardener and yeah I can prepare few bodyguard too." I smirk at my wit. Ryan just agreed with my proposal and we are banging some girls tonight, oh not Ryan, but I am. He is my sidekick and Mia definitely will tail after him.

"Okay Lance, you can finish early today, Im going out with Ryan" Lance just nodded "have a good one boss", he knew my style very well. I live for party and he is not for one, he tried once but just not his style.

After my meeting ended I went home preparing for my night out. I have also gotten my trusted maid Anne to prepare the mansion for Ryan's sister as per their needs, I knew she will do a great job at that. Ryan told me they will come the day after tomorrow, well I for one dont care much, as long as I got my sidekick back.

Walking to the club today I found myself at the VIP lounge. I own the club after all, so most girls has been at my tail. Ryan and Mia is there dancing with each other eating other face. Gross, seeing my best friend with my sister is not a view I live for. So I headed to a private room in the club with a cute redhead with me. And you know what happen next. I fu** her hard so hard she cant even walk after few rounds. And I just walk out feeling satisfied. I didnt forget to leave few 10 thousands to the girl for her service. This is just what I need and I love my life.

Clair POV

Today is the day I will move with Brit to country A, She need to handle her new collection and opening of new branches of Johnson Group there. She has managed to convince me to follow her since she will not be able to meet me regularly if I stay here. Lea will be coming with me as my personal nutritionist but aunt will stay to take care of the mansion. I will be missing her a lot, she is a mother figure to me since I have none. I am lying if I said I am not nervous about moving. New environment should be good for me I guess. Yesterday I visited daddy grave and told him all about it. I know if he still here he will flatly reject this idea. But I need to be independent, Brit will not be able to stay with me forever soon she will have someone she love and her own family. I need to do this. My health has been better with Brit around, so we are moving today using Johnson's Group private jet. My first time flying, I basically sleep through the journey as I took sleeping pill to since I dont want to stimulate my heart. I know what you guys are thinking HCM has low risk of sudden heart attack,but mine hereditary, with my family history, my frequent fainting episode, my abnormal blood pressure when doing any form of exercise I am considered high risk patient.

Lea has woke me up since flight has landed, I sleep so well I dont even notice a slight turbulene we face. As I decent the stairs I saw Brit lightly jog toward me. Oh how I miss the girl.

" Well baby girl, how was it? Your first flight! I am super excited" she said hugging me.

"Yes but I sleep like a log. I didnt even notice when we land" Brit was not suprised at all since its her idea to get me sleeping pill.

"Yeah but you survived babe, welcome to country A, we are gonna have so much fun!" She said while laughing. I laugh along but my I totally scrunch my face and Brit knows it, her fun is never fun for me. My kind of fun is binge netflix, cooking and baking and her kind of fun is party, shopping and talk about boys. Yup and talking about boys she has new one in her collection Mateo Kings, they have been texting and flirting. Well as long as she's happy. We board the limo to our new place. Brit said the team, her brother, Mateo and Alex is there. But who is Alex?

Alex POV

I dont really know why I am here, Ryan and Mateo are estatic for Brittany and this lady Clair Johnson. They have talking about it all day and since I am living next door I am asked or forced to come over as well.

Clair Johnson is the only daughter of Johnson group currently the chairman but I never heard of her at all nothing in Forbes or any business magazine, Brittany has been managing the business which is clear since she has been representing the company. I heard a faint sound of car, they have arrived I believe everyone went outside I just linger in the living room not interested to go out. I am still sated, it is Saturday and I need my own time on weekend not waiting for any neighbour who think they are a royalty. What kind of human being needed so many group of people to tend to them. They requested for 10 maids, 5 bodyguard a group of doctors on standby and and a live in nurse. Well of course this person is so weak given she has a heart condition but almost 20 people to tend to a sick girl is my definiton of overboard. I heard beautiful sounds of laugh, well the princess has arrived and as look to the group of people coming in I was blown away at the sight of a girl in a white dress, so simple without a trace of makeup. Her face is so beautiful like I have never seen before. She look a little pale but that smile oh she definitely made the place look brighter with the smile alone. Surely she looks like an angel or she is one. Brittany currently introducing her friend to everyone.

"Well Clair baby this is Alex, Ryan's close friend and our landlord." She called her baby, yes she is my baby. Clair look at me and our eyes met, her green eyes and I am so drown to her eyes.

"Ehemm." Mateo nudge my shoulder since I was just staring at Clair for awhile now.

"Oh sorry yes I am Alex your neighbour." Clair smile sweetly and give me a friendly hug. " Hi Alex, Im Clair sorry for the commotion here. It seems a little extravagant right." She blush a little and thats it. I am a fan and yeah she smells so nice with a hints of floral fragrance and the little me twitch inside.

After the quick introduction, I saw Brittany guide Clair upstair via elevator, its only one floor but she take the elevator for god sake, she gotta be kidding me, such a princess. I frown inside. She may be pretty but I hate pretentious. Mateo seem to be able to read my thought and he come over to me and pat my shoulder.

"Her heart condition is severe, she need to regulate her blood pressure well, she frequently have fainting episode and we dont want any incident where she faint while taking the stairs right?" Well Mateo is right I dont even know the severity of her condition but I was quick to judge. I feel ashamed of myself.

"Well bro I got to go, i think my job here is over right. She's a charm by the way but not my cup of tea." I said winked at my Ryan and Mateo.

"She can be if you start to know her" Ryan retorts.

Nope she wont. I am busy and she seems like a lot of responsibility. I am for one not in for any kind of relationship.
