Heart chase

A middle aged woman was busy moving around the kitchen rumbling and mumbling to herself she heard a loud laughter which infuriated her.She matched to the parlour to see the culprit who was laughing his heart out again like any other day he was glued to the couch watching a comedy show she breathed in extreme anger . She unplugged the t.v glaring furiously at Nathan."you have been sitting down for five hours straight care to move?"Anna inquired she hates it whenever he sits at home and do nothing all day.

Nathan massaged his temples he could see bickering in the future."Do you want to have the whole house to yourself ? carly isn't home and if l leave you will die of boredom" Nathan replied and stretched himself on the couch which further angered Anna. he could see smoke coming out of her ears and nose." Like father like daughter I wonder where and what she is doing right now" she mumbled loud enough for him to hear.

AT A CLUB HOUSE

Music bobbed the air, smell of alcohol and cigarettes lingered every corner of the club house. An intense scream filled the air as people chanted a particular name in the dimly lit room.

CARLY! CARLY! CARLY! CARLY! CARLY!

Everyone echoed the name and a lady in her early twenties came in view , black straight hair, cherry lips and extremely beautiful. She was surrounded by guys, they were all sitted round a table with different bottles of beers, alcohols, whisky, and brandy most of them were empty."come on carly you can do it" Racheal happily cheered her friend who was contesting with some guys on who can drink more. Soon the guys were drunk to a stupor and the chant grew louder as carly won again like any other day "yeah baby" Racheal pulled carly up twirling her around "careful,I might throw up if you keep doing that"carly muttered in her half drunken state laughing. Racheal dropped her and returned to the table gathering all the money they won, she sniffed it "hmm... smells like you lost ha !!!" she laughed out rubbing it on the loosers face.

In about thirty minutes the two friends came out of the bar with carly staggering while Racheal supported her."Racheal don't you think we need to celebrate my victory more ? look how money we made today, I mean..." she trailed off when a vehicle flashed its headlight at them and.....

BAM! BAM! BAM!

A car screeched on the almost deserted road as it came to a halt the two dummies got up and staggered towards the car, lucky for them the car didn't hit them hard and no injuries was sustained.

The car remained silent for a few seconds more before the door flew open. two guys stepped out of it. Racheal immediately staggered to them and pulled one of them collar "you bloody fool,you could have killed us what are you driving? Racheal flared in anger on seeing this carly moved closer to see who dared mess with them this way. When she got close to them for some reason she felt something shift in her tummy and......

BLURP ! BLURP !

She threw up on his clothes and immediately she sobered up realizing what she had done. Carly was dumbfounded and embarrassed of herself."oh my Lord....what have you done?" Racheal muttered under her breathe and went loss for words "we are even now right?" she itched her head weirdly and started pulling the dazed carly out of their sight. After they were gone laughter erupted from Rocky he held his stomach as he watched the look on his brother's face . Aldrin fisted his hands and caught Rocky's shirt "if you had driven the car more carefully I wouldn't be in this mess" Aldrin's voice thundered into his ears which made him stop laughing "come on bro at least it's from a girl that's much better right?" Rocky jested and ran back to the car on seeing Aldrin's red ears. Aldrin stared into space where those two girls were standing a while ago. Was he seeing things now?. He shook his head and returned back to the car.

Racheal stopped and sat on the staircase leading to Carly's apartment "wow.... what you did back there was epic, didn't you see the reaction on his face?" Racheal laughed remembering the incident when she saw the dreamy look on Carly's face. Carly who has been in her own dream land turned to Racheal smiling "he was really cute, his charming eyes combined with those seductive lips can make any girl go crazy....." she started smiling to herself which left Racheal puzzled. 'this is new the carly she knew never talks about boys this way' Racheal thought inwardly

Anna watched as carly entered the house not bothering to close the door "carly the door won't close itself"Anna yelled.as if no one was talking carly went straight to her dad and snuggled close to him"oh daddy I miss you so much, I had fun and I met someone today he was....." She paused when Racheal cut her off. "cute with long eyelashes and a big butt" Racheal sarcastically stated and left for the kitchen which made carly rolled her eyes."hmm princess have you been drinking? you reek of alcohol and I love it !" Nathan laughed as he sniffed carly.

Anna felt irritated and angry "what a good father you are, you should open a brewery for her so she could drink all her life your mates are getting married and some even have grand kids but here you are sitting around my couch " Anna angrily stated with her hands on her waist.

Racheal smiled,shook her head and walked to Anna "come on aunt don't exaggerate we don't want to marry any boy now we are pretty much young to think of marriage" Racheal reasoned while gulping down a bottle of water.

"Dad how did you fall in love with her"carly suddenly asked out of the blue which made Anna gasped."well for the records I didn't , she held me at gunpoint" Nathan said to see Anna about to erupt. Everyone suddenly scurried away

NATHAN!!!!

His name echoed throughout the building that night.

At Carly's room

Carly pounced on her bed and pulled her stuffed bear that she calls doodle, she has been with it ever since she was a child. Her dad gifted it to her when she was five.

Racheal tucked herself beside carly she frowned when she saw doodle was lying where she was supposed to sleep"Carly I think it's high time you leave doodle alone," Racheal said while adjusting doodle. Racheal stared at the ceiling and sighed"you know coming to think of it that guy was really breathtaking ,but he almost killed us both" Racheal said which made Carly somewhat surprised. "oh now you accept he is cute? anyways there are times you see things you can't get or have " She saw Carly yawn and soon drifted to sleep. Racheal watched her for a while and smiled, Carly has always been there for her since they were kids though they were not sisters but they understood each other so well

Racheal lost her parents at a very young age and was found by Carly on day who took her to her parents. She could remember so vividly how Carly begged her parents to let her stay at their house than some orphanage, Going as far as starving to make them give in till she was accepted.

Some said they were the worst combination since they were very destructive together while others praised their unique friendship since they were always there for each other. Racheal closed her eyes and soon drifted to sleep
