CH 1 (Sleepover gone wrong)

Rachel woke up from deep sleep to the sound of the alarm.

She wriggled her arms free and slapped at her bedside table, searching for the alarm as its restless brrrrrrrring burrowed into her brain. Her knuckles knocked against something hard and it jerked her more fully awake She groaned rubbing her eyes

"oh it morning already "She said to herself.

"Go back to bed, it still 7 pm in the night, "A voice said behind her and she screamed. She turned to see a figure wrapped in white cloth and screamed more.

Her mom who was in the kitchen preparing breakfast heard the scream and shake her head. "This never gets old "she muttered to herself and continued what she's doing. "You don't have to scare me as that "Rachel frowned at her younger sister who already removed the white cloth and laughing at her sister.

"I do this every morning and you still get scared every single time. You are such a chicken "Her sister, Ariel laughed. "Not funny "Rachel huffed.

"Now get out of my room, I need to take my bath " "And if I don't ?"Ariel smirked. "Then I will have to kill you, "Rachel said and charged towards Ariel who ran out immediately. Standing under the shower a few minutes later, Rachel closed her eyes as the cold water poured on her and she wondered how the year is gonna be.

The holiday ended already and she is going to be entering a new class today. Grade 10 to be precise. Grade 9 was really fun for her. Having fun with friends, Doing Homeworks( yeah she is a nerd ), be the teacher's pet. Who doesn't know her, Rachel Dalton ??!. The most brilliant girl in the class. She is pretty and all and only mingle with smart people. She has just a few friends but she considers just one like her best friend. Her name is Nana. She is the type of girl who spends most of her time on social media, crushing on cute guys, making TikTok videos, and brilliant also.

She and Rachel got along well and Rachel mingles with her because, despite her acting unserious, She is Serious with her studies. Rachel finished bathing and put on a pair of blue jeans trousers and a pink top. She looked at herself in the mirror as she combs her hair ." oh Rachel, you are getting ugly

"She said to herself as she gawks at the small pimples on her face. She carries her backpack and exits her room. She stepped on something soft. "Oh my God! Stay away from my puppy, you murderer !"Ariel shouted and quickly carried her puppy which Rachel had stepped on. "Kitty, are you okay ?"Ariel asked softly patting the puppy. "Tch! What is your puppy doing in front of my room ?"Rachel shrugs. "And why can't you look at where you are going ..you want to kill her the way you killed my cat " "I didn't kill your cat ..how many times will I tell you that and I must say ..you are dumb when it comes to naming pets, you named your cat, puppy, and now your puppy, kitty ?...seriously ??" "What I choose to name my pet is none of your business ...You killed puppy. if you hadn't taken her out, the car wouldn't have hit her ......just stay away from Kitty, "Ariel said and marched off to the dining room. She has also dressed up for school already. She attends the same school with Rachel ..(REDWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL ) It a different building from the high school. She is in grade 7. "Stay away from me too!"Rachel yelled after her.

"Will you two let me eat in peace and stop the bickering ?!" Mrs. Dalton half yelled staring at her two daughters. "She started it !"Ariel pointed at Rachel. "No she did !" Rachel said. "You did " "You are a liar" "No, you are !" "Will you two just stop and eat ....!" Mrs. Dalton said and they kept shut glaring at each other. After eating, Rachel and Ariel walked to their mom's car.

Their dad is away for a business trip. Rachel pushed Ariel away and entered first. Ariel glared at her sister. Mrs. Dalton entered the driver's seat and started the car. She will go straight to her workplace after dropping her daughters. "Glare all you want ....there is nothing you can do "Rachel rolled her eyes. "Your eyes will just fall off "Ariel scoffed. "My eyes aren't big like yours "Rachel mocked. "Mom ..!Rachel is 'eyes shaming' me "She whined and Rachel laughed. Mrs. Dalton said nothing as she continued driving. She is used to their silly fights and knows better than to interfere. ===========================

"Mom, am ready for school, "Lucas said to his mom who was standing in front of a mirror and combing her hair.

"Okay bring my purse, "She said and Lucas picked it from the bed and gave it to her.

She opened her purse and stared at the currency in it feeling sad. She counted five dollars and gave it to him

"You will have to manage this ...I don't have much with me "She said and Lucas nods his head.

He knows his mom is trying her best. His dad is dead and his mom works day and night just to feed her son and herself. "It okay mom...This is enough "He said.

"Bye mom "He added and made to leave but his mom's voice stopped him.

"And don't let anyone bully you .you should learn to stand for yourself " "But...mum ...."

"No buts ....it not your fault you have to start school late and these kids that bully are much more younger than you. Bullying you is embarrassing. Have only heard of the big ones bullying the little ones not the latter. Don't act timid all the time, it won't take you anywhere "

"I know mum ...I will try, "He said even tho he knows he can't. He left the house. He is trekking to school.....as usual. It a new term and new class (Grade 10) but he isn't so sure his classmates will stop bullying him. And he is not the outspoken one and he just does what they ask him to do even tho he is much older than them.

Ariel got down immediately her mom's car stopped and ran into the school. Rachel Carried her backpack and waved at her mom bye. Her mom drove off waving back. As she walked, she noticed the students are looking at her weirdly. Is she putting on her cloth the wrong way or have she suddenly grow horns on her head ?? A boy looked at her irritatedly and she started feeling conscious of her body.

What is wrong? She sighted Nana and heaved a sigh of relief ."What wrong? why are people staring at me ?"She asked hurriedly. "It ...God, I don't know how to say this "Nana scratch her hair. "Common just tell me !" "Tricia posted something on the school's group chat platform this morning " "That what ?" "You May want to see this for yourself, "Nana said and brought out her phone to show her. Rachel read it slowly. "Hey, guys, Happy resumption and it seems this term is starting with drama. "Sorry, mom. She is just annoying "Ariel said and Rachel huffed. THE SLEEPOVER Tricia's house. There are a total number of 15 girls that came over. Rachel stared at the interior decoration of Tricia's house and huffed. "Her house is beautiful but her attitude isn't "

"Rachel!. would you stop this hate already and let have fun "Nana said. "Whatever " Tricia walked to the living room with plantain chips. "Am glad you all are here so what should we do first ?"She asked. "Food competition !" "Truth or dare " "Movie " "Dance " "Sing " They all stated their opinions and Alicia sighed sitting down.

"Truth or dare will be kind of boring since we are all girls ....why don't we start with the food competition ?"She suggested and they all agreed. She left the living room to the kitchen and came over with a big bowl of chickens with two plates. Her family is super-rich, no doubt about that. "Who is starting ?" "Me !"They all shouted.

"Everyone will have a turn. Why don't we start with Rachel and me "Alicia said with a smirk. "What ..am not interested " "Or you are scared " "Am not! You know what, am up for it "She said and a plate of chicken each was placed in front of them.

"Start in 3......2..........1!" Alicia and Rachel glance at themselves for a second and started eating while the other girls cheered. Rachel was getting tired and sweaty as she eats it at a fast speed. She was almost done when she heard Alicia's voice.

"Done !" She turned to see the chicken all gone. "How did she do that "She wondered. The girls clapped for Alicia who laid on the floor all sweaty and holding her stomach. The other girls had their turns and they played WHOT also, Nana emerging the winner.

It was around 9 pm after playing more than 3 games, they decided to watch a Romance seasonal movie. The girls all gathered together with a bowl of popcorns in front of them. Around 10 pm, most of the girls were dozing off already including Rachel. 1 am. Alicia and two other girls Joyce and Gina were still awake. It a seasonal film and it not ending any time soon. They heard the sound of liquid (water)pouring and they wondered where the sound is coming from.

The other girls were asleep on the couch and some on the floor. Rachel was sleeping on the floor. Gina pointed at Rachel who was urinating on herself. "Oh, My God !"She exclaimed quietly.

"She still beds wets !!?"Alicia wondered as she stared at Rachel. This is her chance to get back at her for passing higher than her in math. She quickly brought out her phone. She hasn't been so fast in her entire life. She quickly opened the camera, Zoomed it, and started videoing. 6 seconds later, Rachel stopped and started snoring.

"Eww!"Alicia squeezed her face. She wasn't able to video for long because she didn't get to start fast. But the little she was able to video was enough. "You are so dead Rachel Dalton !"Alicia smirked. She, Gina, and Joyce fell asleep around 2 am.

Rachel woke up around 5 and saw what happened.

She facepalmed herself ." why would this happen now ...This is because I drank too much water "She mumbled to herself. She had taken lots of water after the chicken she ate. She bed wets at home too but not all the time. It is getting better than before. It happens every day before. Glancing at the girls who were asleep, she was glad none of them were awake. She quickly cleaned the place with the mob she saw and rushed to Alicia's bathroom to clean herself up.

"Then you have to go to jail and rot in jail !"Alicia's voice said behind her. "If it isn't the devil incarnate ....."Rachel glared at her. "Haha! at least am not the one who bed wets ...at your age..., you should be crying a river right now.., disgusting pig ! and you come to school acting all perfect "Said Alicia to the hearings of the students passing by. Ch 2 {Class Presidents}

She knows nobody is aware. How did Alicia find out? she wondered.

"Oh good! am going to post it, there is no need to show you "Alicia said and walked away. "Uhm, Rachel I think Alicia is serious about this..let just beg her, "Nana told her friend.

"What!, ain't doing that..she can post it .ion care," Rachel said, though deep down, she is scared. "Rachel..you care!..you freaking care!"Nana said shaking Rachel.

"Yes...I do, what am I going to do?"She lamented.

"We just have to convince Alicia not to post it and take down her post" Rachel was about to say something when the school bell rang..students started rushing to their respective classrooms.

IN REDWOOD, the early morning bell rings three times. After the third ring and you are not in class, you get detention for the day.

Nana and Rachel sprinted to the classroom and met the homeroom teacher in the class already. They took their seat in the front row, together as usual.

"Welcome to 10th grade you all..am so glad you all are growing up "Miss Martha (popularly known as miss high heel said. She is one of the classiest teachers in the school. always putting on designer clothes and high heels .that is one of the things people first notice about her. She wears different types of high heel shoes to school every day. Rachel's phone beeped and she brought it out and kept it under the desk and unlocked her phone. It a video and message from Alicia. She reduced the volume and played it.

" She glances at Alicia who was seated in the middle row. Alicia smiles and Rachel's attention drifted back to her phone and as she read the remaining message, her eyes widened.

"Bring out that phone miss Dalton!"Miss Martha's voice said behind her and she flinched the phone falling off her hand. Miss Martha picked the phone and place it in her book.

"You do know phones aren't allowed in class right?...anyways, come collect this when you graduate "

"Wha...what! That is in two years' time "Rachel groaned. "Well, I don't care, next time don't use your phone in my class" "But ma..." "Any more word from you and you are going to detention," She said and Rachel kept her mouth shut.

"So as I was saying, welcome you all and I want us to buckle up and do better than the last term. Class president for this Year is Rachel Dalton "The teacher announced. "As usual !"A student mumbled. "It, not fair Rachel get to be the class president every year ...since 7th grade, we demand a change !" one of the students, Lydia said glaring at Rachel and the others agreed. "Been a class president isn't an easy job.

Rachel is the most brilliant in this class and if you guys don't want her anymore, we can conduct a test right now or what do you think "Miss Martha suggested

Rachel could feel her heart aching. She can't believe she is doing this. Alicia's text before her phone was collected. . Convince the teacher to make me the class president and am not going to post the video. Alicia.

"Yes, I have been the class president for years. They are right! someone else has to take up the position and I believe Alicia is the right person for that. She is smart and intelligent. she should be the class president "Rachel said close to tears already.

"Okay..do you all agree to Alicia been the class president ?"The teacher inquired.

"Yesss!"They chorused. "Okay then, our class president for this year is Alicia...meet me during the break period, Alicia " Alicia nods grinning. Miss Martha marked the attendance and left the classroom with Rachel's phone. The students faced Rachel immediately. "So you still bed wets uh!"Lydia said. "What no! The students listened to the math teacher, Mr. Sylvester as he explained a sum to them. Most of them were dozing off already except for Rachel of course. She was seated at the front roll as usual answering any question the math teacher asked and earning a thumbs up from him.

He wrote an equation on the board ." so who can solve this ?" he inquired and the students stylishly hid their faces while some tried to act cool so the teacher won't call them. Rachel raised her hand. "Rachel again ?..is she the only one in this class ?.. Who wants to try? " Alicia glared at Rachel and raised her hand.

"Okay Alicia " Alicia walked to the board raising her shoulders. She collected the marker from the teacher and started solving. Five minutes later, she finished and hand the marker to Mr. Sylvester. "Hmm wrong but you tried" He commented and Alicia frowned going back to her seat.

"Who else wants to try ?"He asked and the class became silent as a graveyard.

"Sir I want to, "Rachel said and he sighed. He got no choice anyway. He gave her the marker and she started working her magic on the board. She finished and the teacher checked her workings.

"Correct! Keep it up Rachel "He said and she smiled going back to her seat. Nana gave her the thumbs up.

After 30 minutes of torture in the mathematics class, the bell finally rang and the students heaved a sigh of relief. Well, except for Rachel who was enjoying the class. "Okay then ..see you all in my next class."He stated and carried his books. "Sir" Rachel called. "Yes miss dalton, any problem?"

"You haven't given us homework, "She said and the whole class shouted shooting daggers at Rachel. {If you want another chapter today. Give me 40+ long comments and the next chapter drops by 8pm} ================================ BREAK PERIOD

"This is hell seriously ...five periods before the break. They should just kill us "Nana complained keeping her books in her locker.

"Well, it isn't that bad...personally, I think it should be more than five periods before break" Nana faced Rachel

"Whatever " They finished arranging their books in their locker and made to go to the cafeteria but they came face to face with Kelly. "Hi ...can we talk ?"He asked fidgeting.

They have been classmates since 6th grade and Rachel started noticing him in Grade 9. He had a new haircut and started dressing nicely and wearing expensive clothes which attracted a lot of girls to him. He wasn't the old Kenny who comes to school with bushy hair,Rumpled shirt, and oversized trouser.

Rachel started crushing on him not because she likes him or something. She is just attracted to his looks. "Fine friends...It not like we aren't before "She retorted. "But we don't interact much. You are always with your books " "Yeah ..." "So should I escort you to the cafeteria ?"

"Don't bother ..just go your way "She said. He didn't try to convince her, he smiled at her and walked away. "Tch!"She said and started walking alone. That was when she noticed Lucas and three other guys. Danny, Jose, and Kingsley. The rascal triplets as Rachel love to call them. They aren't triplets neither are they in any way related but they behave as one.

Just three boys who cross paths in high school and became best friends. Always moving around together, pranking students and bullying. They have been suspended multiple times but they still won't change. Rachel knows whatever they are discussing with Lucas doesn't concern her but she couldn't help but eavesdrop.

"Welcome back to school big man "Danny laughed tapping Lucas's head. "What do you want ?"Lucas asked glaring at them and clutching the five dollars bill in his hand tightly. "Just wanna welcome you and tell you you have lots of home-works to attend to," Jose said. He remembered his mom's words...

"Don't let anyone Bully you ..you should learn to stand up for yourself."

"Ain't doing any home works for you and you can't force me to, "He said with courage. Danny, Jose, and Kingsley burst into laughter immediately and Lucas started feeling intimidated again. "Who taught biggie how to talk "

"My name is Lucas," He said wondering where the courage came from.

They laughed again."You really should go for comedies ..." Jose laughed and his face turned serious.

"You have no right to talk when we talk ..you have started growing horns right ...If you want to talk, leave this school and battle words with your mates," Kingsley said and that is when he noticed the dollar bills with Lucas. He snatched it from him.

"Hey give it back !"Lucas said.

"Price you have to pay for talking back ...boys, let us go "Danny Said and they left. While Lucas just stood helplessly.That his Lunch money. He didn't take breakfast at home. Oh well, guess no lunch for him today.

Rachel who has been eavesdropping sighed and started heading to the cafeteria.

Nana is going to scold her for being late. It isn't the first time Lucas will get bullied. She and Lucas aren't friends.

They have been classmates for a long but they haven't talked before. Just hi's a few times and when she wants to collect his homework for marking. She isn't the class president anymore anyways. "He is much older than them ...Why is he letting them bully him "She mumbled to herself. Well ..it is none of her business!

Ch 3 {Different Families ..., Different problems }

Rachel walked around clapping her hands together.

"It has been 5 minutes already, just walk in and collect your phone"

"I will, Okay! am just trying to compose myself "Rachel said and takes a deep breath. Saying a short prayer, she knocks on miss Martha's office door.

"Come in, "Her voice said and Rachel breaths in and entered closing the door behind her. Miss Martha is arranging her books, ready to go home. It closing period already and Rachel came to collect her phone.

"What do you want ?"Miss Martha asked wearing her shoe. Scratch that, her high heel shoe.

"Ma...my phone" Rachel said softly. "I told you when you graduate didn't I ?" "Am sorry ...I won't make use of my phone in the class again " "Rachel, you are one of my favorite students, I wasn't expecting you to do that "

"Am sorry" "And why don't you want to become the class president if I may ask?"

"I just don't want to anymore. Besides, the work is too much" Rachel lied fighting back her tears. "Alright then, "Miss Martha said and hand her her phone. "Am only giving you because this is your first time. You won't be lucky next time " "Thank you so much" Rachel smiled and rushed out of the office. Nana was waiting for her outside

."I got it back baby "Rachel said excitedly waving her phone up. "Oh good! Let go "Nana said. Alicia was still in the school's premises discussing with a girl. Nana rushed over to her and dragged her to where Rachel is. "What is it?"Alicia asked glaring at both Nana and Rachel.

"You have always wanted to be the class president isn't that it? And because your empty brain can't compete with Rachel in academics, you decided to embarrass your fellow lady" Nana said almost angrily.

"Well, it isn't my fault your friend still bed-wets" Alicia smirked. "Just stop saying that "Rachel sniffled.

"You got what you want already, just delete the video on your phone, "Rachel said.

"Oh don't cry, baby...I will. And thanks for making me the class president. I love you so so much "Alicia blew kisses at her and walked away. "Remind me why I hate her" Rachel gritted her teeth. "She is annoying, bitchy, stupid, dumb, maddening, brainless, dense .......should I continue?"Nana said

Lucas practically ran home. He is really hungry .he haven't tasted anything that day. The only 5 dollar bill he had with him has been collected from him. He got to his bungalow house and quickly pull up the carpet in front of the door and brought out the key in it. He opened the door and rushed in. He drops his backpack carelessly on the floor and headed to the kitchen. The kitchen is the same as it is in the morning. Quiet and Clean with only one pot on the gas cooker. He opened it and met with Small white rice.No stew.

He contemplated whether he should ask their neighbor for stew or just manage the white rice like that. He decided to eat it like that. His mom doesn't like it when they beg people for something. Sitting on a stool in the kitchen, he started eating the rice hungrily. "You are so so stupid Lucas "He mumbled to himself as he eats.

"Ariel!!!"Rachel yelled as she barged into her sister's room. "What is it ...am trying to study "Ariel groaned. "Where is my singlet ....oh you are even wearing it, "Rachel said as she eyes, Ariel.

The Sponge-bob square-pant singlet is Rachel's favorite and Ariel badly wants it the day they shopped for clothes but Rachel was fast to pick it.

"How many times have I told you to stop going through my things? Now you are even putting on my Singlet"

"The lord says "Love your neighbor as yourself .." Learn how to share Gosh!"Ariel said.

"So I should start sharing my clothes with you ...Ariel take off the clothes right now "

"Am not taking it off ." "Am warning you. Take it off at the count of 3 or you won't like what I would do " "You can't make me take it off" Ariel maintained her stand.

"1....."Rachel started.

"2...."Ariel helped her count. "2...."Rachel said.

"3....." And the next thing Rachel did was jump on Ariel and started removing the singlet from her body Forcefully.

"Somebody help me! My sister wants to rape me !" Ariel shouted. Rachel continued forcing the singlet off and managed to get it off. Ariel quickly covered her naked 'flat chest'. "It not like anything is there" Rachel scoffed.
